(dolphin laughs)
(dolphin hiccups)
(trumpetfish murmurs)
- Oh.
Hey, where did he go?
Whoa.
Oh?
Oh?
Oh.
(dolphin gasps)
Ha ha.
Wanna play hide and seek?
I'll catch you.
Oh.
(water sloshes)
Hmm?
(water bubbles)
Whoa.
(breath whooshes)
(ominous music)
Ah.
Oh?
(ominous music)
- Ta, da, da, da, da
(octopus laughs)
- Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
- Wait, wait, where do
you think you're going?
Has no one taught you
the Laws of the Sea?
It's okay.
What an adorable little
white boy. (laughs)
- I was just playing there
and then I saw a bright light.
- Guys, did you hear that?
He said he wants to play.
We do love playing.
Such sweet little cheeks.
What do we have
there, air? (chuckling)
You're a sly one.
It's the Underwater World
and you're breathing air?
- Very sorry, I should go.
- Well, of course.
I'm not stopping you
but first, let's play.
Welcome to the Underwater World.
- Mommy, Mommy!
- Why is everyone
calling their mommy?
- Mommy!
Let go.
- Time to get outta here.
- Snowball, Snowball.
- Mom.
- I told you to stay away
from this place.
- But he wouldn't let go.
- Who?
- He was here.
- There are all kinds of
scoundrels roaming around here.
- Who does she
mean by scoundrel?
Hmm, I'll show you.
Ah, take that.
(chain rattles)
- Watch out!
(Snowball gasps)
(tense music)
(tense music continues)
Mommy!
- Are you okay there?
- Yes, I'm okay.
But I really need to
get some air, Mommy.
- [mother] Here you go,
swim to the surface.
(anxious music)
(water bubbling)
- Ah, ah.
What's the rush? (chuckles)
We've only just started
playing, the two of us.
- Oh, look, what's
that up there?
(octopus laughs)
- That trick is way too
old, don't you think?
- Oh!
(whale splashes)
- [Octopus] No, no, no, no, no.
- Honey?
Snowball, Snowball,
where are you?
(anxious music)
- [Snowball] Mommy.
Hey.
- Honey, are you okay?
- Mommy, can I keep him please?
- Keep who?
- Here, check it out.
(Nana gasps)
(boy moans)
(Nana gasps)
- He needs air.
(triumphant music)
(boy cries)
(seagulls chirping)
(water sloshes)
- A huge seashell
was falling so fast.
That's how I found this guy.
- What kind of a head is this?
And there's no tail.
- Here's his head.
- Oh, what kind of fish
is that, with no tail?
- Where did you even
find him, Snowball?
- In the Black Valley.
(sea creatures chattering)
- But this is a forbidden area.
- He just got a little lost.
- Octopus wouldn't let me go.
- [Sea Creatures] Octopus!
- No, seriously, have any of you
ever seen a fish swim like that?
(sea creatures laughing)
It's hilarious.
(boy giggles)
- What do you
think you're doing?
- I just want to touch him.
The creature doesn't
even have scales.
- I don't have scales either,
are you gonna pinch me too?
(boy moans inquisitively)
- Whoa.
(fish scream)
- He ate the crab.
(Snowball laughs)
- What, really?
- No, it was just a seashell.
- I'm completely naked.
- He's gasping for air, I'll
take him to the surface.
- Your Excellency, Mr. Turtle.
(regal trumpet tones)
- Well, what kind of whirlpool
did you get us into, huh?
Oh. (inhales)
Nana, your son swam
to the Black Valley?
- [Nana] Snowball
found something here.
- [Snowball] A strange starfish.
(Mr. Turtle coughs)
- What is this creature exactly?
(boy moans)
- Right.
Suspicious.
- That's right.
Suspicious, I tell you.
- Very suspicious.
- The creature doesn't
even have a scale.
- And he swims in
a very strange way.
- Yes, so suspicious.
- Yeah, suspicious.
- That's very suspicious.
(sea creatures chattering)
- [Sea Creature 1] And he
swims in a very strange way.
- Very strange.
- Very strange.
- [Sea Creature 2]
I don't understand
what's happening, it can't be.
- I don't either.
- What's happening?
It can't be.
- We don't need it.
(Snowball laughs)
(shark chuckles)
(boy giggles)
(Mr. Turtle laughs)
- You can keep this little
guy, he's not dangerous.
But remember this.
He needs air to breathe.
- I knew it, woo hoo.
- You'll live to regret it.
- You'll regret it.
- My, my.
(relaxed piano music)
- But how am I supposed
to care for him?
(Snowball and boy giggling)
- Oh.
(melodic humming)
Many miles away,
there's my only home
Where my mother's
love will keep me warm
You're the one to stay by
my side forever, forever
In my soul, you
have a holy place
Your tender hand, your
voice and your embrace
You're my all, my paradise
And all the time
I seek your eyes
Momma, you gave me
life to treasure
and love beyond all measure
My home is where you are
- Oh?
And I
Can do
Everything and be
stronger for your sake
Momma, I need you for
each breath I take
I
Can do
All you wish, Momma, I'll
give you all the world
(seagulls chirping)
(boy gasps fearfully)
(boy splashes)
(melodic humming)
- Oh.
- Huh?
(Nana gasps)
(melodic humming)
At moments when it's
freezing and very dark
Beside me I can feel
your little spark
And when I take a dive,
you're my air for breathing
For breathing
Your heartbeat is
here, it's right in me
So I can hear you
if I'm under the sea
You are far away
but we can find
And all the time,
I seek your eye s
Momma, you gave me
life to treasure
and love beyond all measure
My home is where you are
And I
Can do
Everything and be
stronger for your sake
Momma, I need you for
each breath I take
I
Can do
All you wish, Momma, I'll
give you all the world
There's your smiling
light in every single day
Late at night in the
dark, I seek you and pray
And pray
And despite the
evil distance
There's no turn of destiny
That would make us
part, we will never par t
As we are family
And I
Can do
Everything and be
stronger for your sake
Momma, I need you for
each breath I take
I
Can do
All you wish, Momma, I'll
give you all the world
If you wish, Momma, I'll
give you all the world
(water sloshing)
(boy moans inquisitively)
- What's up, Mommy's boy?
(Snowball splashes)
"This boy is very special.
That's why you, Snowball,
have to be sure you're taking
good care of him." (laughs)
- I'm sorry, Snowball,
but I don't think
there's anything wrong
with being special.
- Hey, do you know
the difference
between a dolphin and an eel?
- How would I know that?
- A dolphin has a tail and an
eel just is a tail. (laughs)
- But I don't have
a tail either.
- That's because you're
not a dolphin. (laughs)
- I knew it.
- Huh?
Knew what?
- That I'm not a dolphin.
- Who told you you're not?
- You said it.
- Me?
When did you hear me say that?
- Just now.
- No, I never said
anything like that.
- Why don't I have a tail?
- Oh, I don't know.
Maybe it just tore off
when your seashell
fell into the water.
- What seashell?
- What seashell, what
seashell is that?
- The one that fell
into the water.
- Oh, right.
It was a huge seashell.
Where'd you hear about it?
- You just told me that.
- Oh no, if Nana finds out,
I'll be in in big trouble.
- If Nana finds what out?
- That I told you we found you.
(mysterious music)
- Huh, you two found me?
(Snowball stammers)
- You have to understand,
if Mr. Turtle finds out,
we'll be in big trouble
and I can only imagine what
would happen if Nana found out.
It's a forbidden area, no one
has ever returned from there.
- Shh, stay quiet,
let's go already.
Wow, do you think
it's my seashell?
(boy grunts)
- What are you doing?
- Let's look inside.
(mysterious music)
Well, are you coming
with me or what?
You can stay if
you're too scared.
(Snowball giggles)
Oh.
Oh, did I hurt you?
- Older brothers are
way tougher than that.
- What is that thing?
- Let's check it out.
- [Boy] Such weird lights.
- I guess I should try it.
They're delicious,
try it. (laughs)
(relaxed music)
- Snowball, come
see what I found.
(relaxed music)
- What?
- Look at this.
- Whoa.
- See this?
Take a closer look.
She looks so much
like me. (laughs)
- Let's keep swimming and
eating more plankton. (laughs)
(playful music)
(boy and Snowball laughing)
(playful music)
(upbeat music)
(upbeat music continues)
(upbeat music continues)
(Snowball laughs)
- Huh?
Huh?
Oh.
Huh?
What are those two doing here?
Huh?
(playful upbeat music)
(Snowball and boy laughing)
- Whoa.
- Woo hoo!
(Snowball splashes)
(Snowball laughs)
- Oh.
- Drift, drift
right into my mouth,
my delicious little plankton.
- Huh? (giggles)
Wake up, Snowball.
Did you dream of plankton too?
- Why do you say that?
I'm not sleeping.
After that delicious
snack we just had,
I would just love to
have a massage as well.
There, a little to
the left, no, right.
Yeah, there, there.
- Yeah.
- There was such incredible
food in your seashell.
Why didn't you
tell me? (giggles)
- Well, we can swim to
the forbidden area again.
- Mm hmm.
- So you disobeyed me anyway.
(boy chuckles nervously)
- Mommy.
How long do you think
she's been listening to us?
- You promised not to tell him.
Why did you show him that place?
- And how could you hide
all this from me, Mom?
I have to go back there.
- Are you trying to argue
with your own mother?
- But you're not my mother.
(Nana gasps)
I always thought that I
was just a crippled dolphin
that can't swim without
someone else helping him.
If you really were my mother,
why would you lie
to me all this time?
(water sloshes)
(Nana sniffles)
- Go after him.
Hurry.
(soft mysterious music)
- Something's not right here.
Have those spiky things
been here before?
I definitely would've
noticed them last time.
- Will you stop whining?
- Is it me or are
they getting bigger?
- Do you want to help me
find my real mother or not?
- Enough.
- Huh?
- Swim far away from here, boys.
I'll do it all by myself.
Who am I looking for?
- Someone who looks like her.
- Hmm?
(somber music)
- Nana,
I'm so sorry, Mommy.
(water sloshes)
- [Nana] Look
after your brother.
(boy and Snowball
chuckle nervously)
(brambles crackling)
(ominous music)
- Huh?
- Hey buddy, how much
air do you have left?
- [Boy] Not much.
- [Nana] Hurry, swim
away from this place.
What are you doing?
(tense music)
(boy grunts)
Swim away from here.
- I can't do it.
I'm running out of air.
- [Nana] Swim away from here.
- [Snowball] Your
nose is bleeding.
- [Nana] I told you
to get away from here.
- Nana, Nana!
- [Nana] Snowball,
save your brother.
There's no time.
- [Snowball] Don't worry,
Mommy, I'll come back for you.
(tense music)
Hang on, brother.
I'll get you outta here.
- Hmm, it's a good thing
you listened to your mother.
- But what can we do
to save our mommy?
- Don't worry.
- We have to help our
mom, she needs air.
- Well.
- There they are.
- And here comes the help.
- Don't let them get away.
- We'll rescue her together.
- Go get them now.
- Yes, yes!
- What's with all the fuss?
The whole ocean can hear you.
- Do you even know what
they've done out there?
- Huh?
- They told me everything.
- So they told you
that they decided
to jump out of the water
right next to a boat?
- You're always taking
the air-breather's side.
- One day, we'll all
pay the price for them.
- That's right, sister.
- [Crab] They must be punished.
- But-
- Not another word.
(Snowball groans)
Yes, the boys made a mistake
when they went and broke
the Law of the Sea.
But we all have a bigger
problem on our hands.
(talking over each other)
- We just wanted to say that...
- [Octopus] What's
more important than
the Law of the Sea ?
(ominous tones)
- Hmm?
- Our mom.
- Such a familiar voice,
where could I have heard it?
- [Octopus] The show is
about to start. (cackles)
- Octopus?
- Why, of course,
it's me, Octopus
but not as small and as
weak as I was before.
Now I'm big and strong.
- Now is not the time
to boast, we need
your help here.
- Our mother got into trouble.
- But first, you're going
to have to hear me out.
- Did you not hear us?
We don't have time for that.
- And where did this
overgrown octopus come from?
- Go on your way, dolphin.
(octopus cackles)
(Snowball groaning)
Much like this one, swam
into the Black Valley.
- Are you okay?
- I'll be okay.
I won't let Octopus stop
us from saving our mom.
- Ah, Black Valley.
It was my own prison. (cackles)
(sea creatures coughing)
- Enough, we don't need
you polluting the water.
- Stop it now, what kind
of game are you playing?
(octopus cackles)
- Come in, get in closer.
I'm about to tell you a
nice little story. (cackles)
I would advise you to watch
out for that ink, Mr. Turtle.
Anyway, once an
enormous seashell fell
right into the water
and I, a tiny little
octopus, ended up in a trap
right under it, all on my own.
In order to survive
and not die of hunger,
I was forced to feed on plankton
but that plankton
made me grow larger.
So I've become big and strong.
I was swimming down there
completely alone
until I saw a light.
So I got out of
there and here I am.
- Wait here, I'll go teach
that giant some manners.
(anxious music)
- Your time appears to be up,
my wonderful
air-breathing neighbors.
But yes, I have to
admit I owe everything
to your wonderful
little friend here.
Come on, swim over
here, little buddy.
Don't be scared.
Where are you hiding, my
little white dolphin? (cackles)
We didn't finish playing our
game all those years ago.
Too bad your mom got stuck
in that dreaded seashell
and it was all your fault.
- Did you forget she
can't survive without air?
- Ah, have you forgotten
what kind of place
you're living in?
It's the Underwater World.
Those who need air don't belong.
- Oh, let go of him now.
(Octopus cackles)
- You're all so predictable.
- Whoa.
(octopus cackles)
- [Sea Creatures] Down
with the air-breathers.
Down with the air-breathers.
(Snowball wails)
(octopus cackles)
- And here's our
white little dolphin.
He was the one who released
me from my seashell prison.
- What have you two done?
(anxious music)
- [Snowball] No.
- You know, I missed
you so very much.
It's so nice that fate has
brought us together again.
You came and started
eating my plankton.
I could barely stop myself from
giving you the biggest hug.
How about your old friend
finally hugs you for real?
By the way, where's your
strange buddy? (cackles)
(tentacle squelches)
Huh?
Whoa, there you are.
What a peculiar ugly
little fish. (cackles)
Huh?
(boy grunts)
(water sloshes)
(octopus cackles)
What did I ever do to you, huh?
- You're not letting
us save our mother.
- Mother?
Huh?
Why are you playing with
this poor boy's head?
- She's our mother and no one
will stop us from saving her.
- You poor child,
you're not one of us
and she's certainly
not your mother.
If you really want to
find your actual mother,
I recommend you
go to the surface.
- Terrestrial
creatures, they're here.
(anxious music)
- Now, which one of
you will get lucky?
- Oh, what are you doing?
- Oh, I'll just let
those guys take 'em.
My friend, I bought you front
row tickets for the show.
- [Snowball] No, don't
touch my brother.
No, no!
- Well.
- [Sea Creatures] Down
with the air-breathers.
Down with the air-breathers.
(octopus cackles)
Down with the air-breathers.
- Ah!
(ominous chanting)
He won't see reason
Won't see reason
Reason
(Octopus cackles maniacally)
(waves crashing)
(soft music)
- [Man] Where did you find him?
We should take him
to a doctor ASAP.
I'm talking to you, old man.
Hey, you hear me?
- He must have fallen from
the ship that sank last week.
- It's all right,
Granny Zar's medicine
will get you on your
feet in no time.
Hey, hey!
(waves crashing)
(boat engine rumbles)
What do I do with him now?
Huh?
Hm?
What's that?
(relaxed music)
(gasps)
(boy moans)
Ah.
Hmm? (gasps)
(snoring)
Um...
(wood creaks)
(food squelches)
(boy chuckles)
(boy munches happily)
Hmm?
- Huh?
Hey.
- Let go of me.
- Hey, where are you going?
What's gotten into you?
- Let go of me.
Ow, ow. (thuds)
- What are you doing?
(groans)
Well, go ahead then, leave.
(somber music)
Go, no one's stopping you.
(pants)
- [Boy] No, no. (whimpers)
(relaxed somber music)
(seagulls chirping)
What's happening?
What are you doing here?
- Ask your new
friend over there.
- Snowball?
Snowball, where are you?
(boy whimpers)
Snowball.
No.
- What's going on here?
- Snowball. (weeps)
Please don't leave me.
Don't leave me
alone, big brother.
- Hmm.
(boy weeps)
- You promised Nana you would
never, ever leave me alone.
Wake up.
- And I'm keeping
my word, brother.
- Huh?
Snowball.
- You got me really scared
back there, Mommy's little boy.
- Why did you get on shore?
- They got out
because of Octopus.
- [Boy] And you?
- I was afraid that I might
lose you too, you know?
- You said lose me too?
You mean Nana, did she?
(somber music)
(boy weeps)
- Nana's always
worried about you.
She would've been so happy
to know that you're
alive and well.
Hurry, hop on me.
We have to swim away.
- But we're on land.
Oh, right, I forgot.
- Huh?
You're talking to a dolphin?
- Hey, are you stuck?
- I did it, it's just
that stupid sand.
(boy grunts)
(boy whimpers)
- Hurry up, brother,
he's getting close.
- I'll help you.
- Huh?
(tepid music)
- What's he doing?
(grunting)
He wants to tear my tail off.
- A little more.
(upbeat music)
(groans)
Hey kid, you forgot
your locket.
(soft music)
I know your mother.
I can take you to her.
(soft dramatic music)
- Why are you up? (giggles)
- What's he doing?
I don't understand.
- I have to find my mother.
- Promise me that if
you ever find her,
she'll become my mother too.
- I promise, big brother.
(water bubbles)
(relaxed music)
Brother.
(water sloshes)
- Ha ha ha ha, come on.
- Come on.
- [Sailor] That's right,
try to tackle him.
Get him, get him, come on.
Hit him back.
- Come on, get him.
- Take him, good job.
- Ha ha.
- There you go.
- Now that's a fight.
- Come on, go get him.
- Good job.
- Nice job, good.
- Now that's a fight.
- Oh yeah.
- Come on, get it together.
- Huh?
- You forget about our deal?
- Nice job, guys.
- Step away, who is that?
Huh?
(door rattles)
- Don't you remember?
You said you wouldn't
charge me interest
if what I said turned out to
be true. (nervous chuckle)
(sailors murmuring)
- What, what's he talking about?
Huh?
- Ah.
He's talking about that time
he was telling us all those
tall tales about his travels.
- You gave your word, so
you can't get out of this.
- Hmm.
Every person on
this island knows
that Haja Majed is
a man of his word.
(sailors laughing)
Stop laughing.
(Haja Majed grumbles)
- Yes, he is.
Everyone knows that Maja Hajed
keeps all of his promises.
- Hmm, I keep my word.
Unlike some other people
who don't even bother
paying their debts.
- Then here it is, I
found a human amphibian.
(playful tones)
(boy moans groggily)
- Well. (gasp)
Mm.
(birds chirping)
Huh.
Oh.
Whoa.
Ah.
Ow.
(boy groans)
(playful music)
- Who opens a coffee house
in the middle of nowhere?
Not a single client.
Ugh.
- Who do you think I am then?
- He never came home last night.
Who knows what he
plans on doing?
Since his ship sank, he can't
think of anything but the sea.
And where is he now?
Can anyone tell me.
- Eh?
Well, I am here, aren't I?
Let me have a drink.
- And what does he
even find in that sea?
- Leave me just one sip.
You drank it all.
- Mommy. (giggles)
Mommy.
(soft music)
(mother giggles)
- A mommy? (gasp)
- What a scoundrel, where on
earth could he be this time?
- He's on the old ship.
- And why didn't you
tell me straightaway?
- Ooh.
(crab chitters)
(light drumbeat)
(rhythmic guitar music)
(people chattering)
- Uh, mommy?
Mommy?
Mommy?
Mommy?
Mommy?
- Look at the pretty locket.
- [woman]
Come on, honey.
- Mommy? (gasp)
Mommy.
Mommy.
Mommy.
Mommy.
(boy laughs)
Mom.
- Oh, did you lose
your mommy, sweetie?
- Hmm.
(rhythmic guitar music)
Huh? (giggles)
Mommy.
(distant shrieking)
- Help, please save me.
- Oh Lord, oh Lord.
- Help, save me.
- They took Timmy.
- Anybody.
- What?
- Help me.
Help me please.
(boy gasps)
- What happened?
- Huh, huh, what?
You understand me?
Please get me out of here.
They want to eat me. (wails)
For heaven's sake, please
help me get into the sea.
(knife clacks)
- [Butcher] Ah,
you little thief .
Thief!
- Huh?
- Huh?
- What?
- What?
- Get him!
Get that thief!
- Hurry, hurry!
- Stop him, stop that thief!
(crowd clamoring)
- [Citizen] He's running!
He's getting himself away.
- Grab him.
Stop him, stop the thief.
- Don't let him escape.
- Don't let him escape.
- He's trying to run away.
- Thief, thief, thief.
- Whoa.
(crowd clamoring)
- Get him.
- Quick, after him.
Go, go, go.
- Keep going.
(boy screams)
(tense music)
(fish laughs)
- That's quite an escape.
Hurry, just throw
me into the sea.
- [Citizen] That's it, you
have nowhere else to go.
- This stops now.
- You're done, kiddo.
- Please, help me, save me
from them.
- Don't you worry,
I have a plan.
- We'll show you what's what.
- Huh?
(boy screams)
- Huh?
- Whoa.
- [Citizen] Huh?
- Oh, ho ho ho!
Woo!
Oh, ho ho.
Yay.
Huh?
Oh no, no, no.
No!
(sailors laughing)
- Guys, you know what?
I happen to believe our
beloved Captain Murvarid
and if it really is
a human amphibian,
he must be an
incredible swimmer.
That right, Captain Murvarid?
- I believe he's a fantastic
swimmer.
- Then we have a deal.
Captain Murvarid is
going to participate
in the seashell hunting
contest, agreed?
- I agree.
- What did you agree
to do, Captain?
Tell me.
- It's too late now,
we've already shook on it.
- Captain, your son caused
quite the scene at
the market today.
(boy giggles nervously)
(tepid music)
- Huh?
What are you talking about?
- Captain's son,
what do you mean?
- Uh, mommy?
(sailors laughing)
- I'm telling you, sweetheart,
it's not a child,
It's a treasure.
I'll be able to buy a new
ship and get back to sea.
- Show me.
(boy giggles nervously)
(soft piano music)
We don't even know if
that woman is still alive.
- When I win the contest,
I'll take the boy off
to his mother's grave.
(melodic humming)
Hey, get him out.
He'll drown.
- Mommy.
You make me stronger,
you are my angel
And we are not close now
But you still
keep me (indistinct)
It's getting harder to stand
all the heartache alone
And the solitude that
I feel without you
You can easily heal me
You are not here
but you feel me
In every stranger, I'm
able to see your eyes
Yes, you can easily heal me
You are not here
but you feel me
Say you will never
leave me again
Ever again, all right
(seagulls chirping)
Momma, call out to me
And send me a
sign o'er the sea
Again in the dark I will
watch the night fall
I'll find you wherever
you are despite all
Momma, call out to me
And I will come to you
I miss you greatly,
dreaming of your tender eyes
Nothing can break me
I keep moving ahead
Love's gonna guide me
And soon I will
find you, whoa
Going with the wind,
I will not be misled
You can easily heal me
You are not here
but you feel me
In every stranger, I'm
able to see your eyes
Yes, you can easily heal me
You are not here
but you feel me
Say you will never
leave me again
Ever again, all right
- And remember kiddo, if you
wanna catch a lot of fish,
you'll have to make sacrifices.
(reel cranks)
If you help me out and
I win the competition,
I'll be able to buy
a new massive ship
and then I'll take
you to the island
where Granny Zar resides so you
can see your mother's grave.
But I'll be honest
with you, little man,
I can't guarantee
she's still alive.
What am I saying?
You don't even
understand me anyway.
(seagulls chirping)
(locket jingles)
You will help me.
Competition, massive ship.
Mommy. (laughs)
Well, do you understand?
Do you like my idea?
(boy grunts)
(boy splashes)
- Snowball, if I help
him win the competition,
he will help me find my mommy.
I mean our mommy.
(Murvarid chuckles)
- Really?
Does he actually know
where your mom is?
- He says he knows our
mother is on the other shore.
There's an island.
Will you help me, Snowball?
- Of course, remember
what I promised?
- Don't worry, she'll
be your mom too.
(soft piano music)
I will come to you
(drum beats)
(boy grunts)
I will come to you
- Here.
Momma, call out to me
And send me a
sign o'er the sea
Again in the dark I will
watch the night fall
I'll find you wherever
you are despite all
Momma, call out to me
And I will come to you
- Not bad.
(water splashing)
(seagull chirps)
(boy and Snowball laughing)
(rhythmic music)
(rhythmic chanting)
(rhythmic chanting continues)
(Murvarid humming)
(anxious music)
- [Sailor] Hey hey,
be careful down there,
Captain Murvarid
or you might get stuck
somewhere under our ship.
(sailors laughs)
- [Haja Majed] Our first diver,
Yasim,
also known as
Giant.
(sailors laughing)
(tepid music)
Ah, now our second diver .
Kusro, also known as Crab.
Go, Crab.
And the third diver,
Gollum, also known as Frog.
But that's not all.
Our fourth diver,
Black Hercules.
- Don't you worry,
kiddo, you can do this.
(water bubbles)
(boy chirps)
(Snowball chuckles)
- Dolphin Boy will
show them what's what.
- Captain Murvarid
will definitely win.
(anxious music)
- Ready, brother?
(anxious music)
- On your marks,
get set,
go.
(trumpet blares)
(divers splashing)
- Hey kiddo, why don't you dive?
Competition, Mommy, remember?
Back in the water.
(anxious music)
(divers grunting)
(anxious music)
- [Boy] Come on
brother, let's do this.
(Snowball chuckles)
(anxious drumbeat)
(mysterious music)
(water bubbles)
- [Sailor] Captain, one
diver's already
bringing in his catch.
- I think that guy just sent
his diver to certain death.
That boy's headed
for the Valley.
No one's ever come
back from that place.
(Haja Majed laughs)
- Don't worry, the Captain
claims the boy is a dolphin .
- And he is, you
can count on it.
- [Haja Majed] I think
it's time to beat the drum.
- It's too early.
My kiddo still has a couple
tricks up his sleeve.
(frantic music)
(anxious drumbeat)
(water sloshes)
- Hey, you wanna up the ante?
- I don't see why not.
Even if your guy emerges,
he definitely won't
collect this much.
I'll bet my ship for
your coffee house.
- Ah,
it's a deal.
- Quiet.
I said quiet, I want to
listen to Solomon's drumming.
Just like the good old days.
(drum beating)
- Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
- Hmm?
(boy chirps)
(boy grunts)
- Ah ha, maybe we should
start wrapping it up now.
- Oh, where are you, kiddo?
Time's almost up, come on.
(drumstick thuds)
(drumstick splashes)
(water bubbles)
(boy gasps)
- Huh?
(Murvarid laughs)
- Huh?
- Finally, come on, get in.
Well?
Ah, let's see.
Huh?
That's it?
(Murvarid weeps)
Why is it always me?
- Well, I think it's
clear what we have here.
I guess we're going
back now, guys
and you, Captain Murvarid,
can work in my coffee house
as long as you want to.
- Huh?
- [Haja Majed] I
don't mind. (cackles)
(somber music)
- Oh.
(child gasps)
(somber music)
(Murvarid sighs)
- Here, take me to my mommy.
- Huh?
It's a pearl?
I can't believe it.
Huh?
Ah.
Where did you get them?
So many pearls.
There are pearls in
the sea, I'm rich.
Just look at this, so many
pearls, pearls, pearls.
We have so many
pearls, we're rich.
We're so rich now,
we're rich, we're rich.
I'm rich, rich and we are rich.
We are rich, we are rich.
- Now we go see Mom?
- Kiddo, now that we
have all these pearls,
we can buy ourselves
a dozen ships.
(hook clanks)
Oh, what?
- Huh?
- What's going on?
(boomerang whooshes)
(Murvarid grunts)
That hurts. (splashes)
- Oh, oh!
(tense tones)
(ship creaks)
(Murvarid groans)
- Well big guy, spill it out.
Tell us where the pearls are.
(shark moans)
- What's going on
with the sharks?
Lately it's like they've
lost their minds.
- [Boy] Mom?
Mom!
- No kiddo, they're
not your mom.
They're some kind of monsters.
- Where are the
pearls? Spit it out.
- Huh?
Although, maybe they're
someone's mom. (nervous chuckle)
- Where are the pearls?
- He ate them.
- Oh?
(anxious music)
Oh.
- We should just gut him
and the pearls are ours.
- Just look at his gut.
- It's fine, I can do it.
- Are you really
going to gut him?
- We have no other choice,
I really need pearls.
- Eat some fruit and the pearls
will come out on the own.
Or she'll definitely gut you.
It's up to you.
(Murvarid groans)
(soft playful music)
- Ugh, I hate that
(spits) and that.
- We're going to see Mom?
- Of course we are, kiddo.
Where else would we go?
- Huh?
- Huh?
(boy gasps)
(rhythmic drumbeat)
(woman laughs)
(rhythmic music)
(rhythmic vocalizing)
(women laughing)
- Come on.
Oh.
Let's dance.
(rhythmic music)
Ah.
(women laughing)
- Yeah.
- Come on.
Woo.
- Ha ha ha ha.
(rhythmic clapping)
- Little boy, throw me out
into the sea, I'm suffocating.
- You were acting
different just now.
- I'm sorry, I can't
remember anything now.
- [Murvarid] Ha ha, let's dance.
Ho ho, ho ho.
- Huh?
(shark screams)
(shark splashes)
- Thank you, little boy.
I sure owe you one.
- We'll find mom very soon.
- Don't you think they'd be
great moms for you?
(rhythmic music)
Solomon, Solomon
I'll keep sailing
'til I'm gone
Huh?
- Where did you hear that song?
Everyone grab him.
(Murvarid grunts)
Blindfold him.
- Hey, what's gotten into you?
- Let's take him to the leader.
- What did I do?
- That's right.
Let's find out where
he knows our song from.
- Why?
(slow dramatic music)
(rhythmic chanting)
(rhythmic music)
Ouch.
Well, why did you
have to do that?
I'm walking, don't you see?
What is that, why
are you so quiet?
Oh, please don't tell me we
just landed on Red Island.
- Oh?
(Murvarid yelps)
Come on, move.
- Don't poke me.
Ouch.
- Don't stop.
- Hey.
- Move along.
- I am.
- Move.
- You know when I was younger,
I used to come to
see the Red Island.
I remember seeing the beautiful
drawings on the ground,
a dolphin and stars
and other things.
- Huh?
(rhythmic ominous music)
(rhythmic chanting)
(steady tempo drumbeat)
- And there was also this
peculiar sort of twisted tower
with some kind of
opening at the very top.
Then a left turn and if you
walk further and further,
then at some point, you
will stumble upon a cave.
Ha ha.
All right, you guys
gonna take me somewhere?
- Let's go.
(Murvarid grumbles)
- And where on earth were you?
(fire crackles)
(mysterious music)
You were out for so long,
I had to cook the soup
without the pearl powder.
(soup crackles)
Captain Murvarid.
- Granny Zar?
- You left to find
us help 10 years ago.
Where have you been
for such a long time?
Do you even know how
hard it was for me
to take care of her
all these years, huh?
- Is she really still alive?
- [Zar] (indistinct) is
neither alive nor dead.
She's been crying for
all of these 10 years
and her tears are
a miracle cure.
Sometimes she seems
to mumble something,
something unclear
about a son.
- [Boy] Mom?
- [Zar] She says she entrusted
him to a white dolphin.
Also...
- And then what?
- The black potion.
- Huh?
- Huh?
- Where's the kid?
Where did he go?
- Where is he?
We'll find him.
- Men aren't allowed.
(somber music)
- Mom?
Mommy?
Mommy?
Mommy?
Mommy?
(fire crackles)
- Captain Murvarid
rescued your mother
and brought her here to me.
She was delirious,
she kept saying
"My boy cannot end
up with bad people."
Your plane crashed,
everyone else died.
(explosion booms)
- Huh?
Oi, oi, oi.
(Murvarid screams)
(plane crashes)
(Murvarid splashes)
- Why didn't you come
back here, Captain?
- Well, I thought
she was already dead
and I had also lost my
ship, so I couldn't.
- I don't think she'll
ever get better.
- Huh?
- But her body
stores an antidote
that can eliminate
any existing poison.
- There is a cure.
You mustn't worry, I know
what needs to be done.
I've searched for
it a long time.
She had the cure
on her in the plane
that's now resting on
the bottom of the ocean.
- He's telling the truth.
He's been looking for
that plane for years.
- Only the boy and his
dolphin can get there.
- What kind of
ridiculous plan is that?
Of course we won't
risk the boy's life.
- She is right, the sea is
very dangerous now and the boy
has finally found his mother
after all these years.
- But I want to, I
want to save my mom.
(somber music)
Don't be scared,
Mommy, I'll save you.
(Murvarid snores)
(anxious music)
(rhythmic guitar music)
- Hey Evan, have you seen
Captain Murvarid
in the sea tonight?
- Take a look at this,
I can't believe it.
Take a look at this hole.
No, no, it's impossible
to work with these nets.
Now that's it, I'm done.
- The fish went crazy,
they tore the net again.
- Have you gone deaf?
I asked you a question, have
you seen Captain Murvarid?
- Is that the poor guy
who lost his coffee house?
If I were him, I wouldn't
have come back home either.
Maybe he went to the beacon
to see his foreign buddy.
(Mrs. Murvarid knocks)
(rhythmic guitar music)
(crickets chirping)
(crickets chirping continues)
(somber music)
- Huh?
(water sloshing)
There, we're here.
That's my seashell,
it's there, over there.
- I've scoured every single
inch of these waters.
Unless the plane fell down
right into the oil well.
(boy splashes)
- Let's swim to the seashell.
- What about Octopus?
He went completely insane.
- I finally found my mom, I
just have to get the cure.
- And where is that cure now?
- I'm telling you,
in the seashell.
- Okay, let's go.
(mysterious music)
Whoa.
Huh?
- Hey, scaleless,
where do you think
you are headed?
No one is allowed in here
and what did you air-breathers
leave in here anyway, huh?
- Leave us alone.
- Hey.
I'm the chief guard
in here, by the way.
(crabs skittering)
Crabs, stop them!
- Oh, I think we're
in trouble, we better-
- How do we know
you're the chief guard?
- Can't you see the seashell?
No one else has a
seashell like this, huh?
(tense music)
- Who wants to be the chief
guard, you or maybe you?
Then go and get it.
- Me, me.
- He chose me.
- [Crabs] Me, me, me, me.
- Why do you think you're
taking my seashell?
Huh?
Hey.
I'm completely naked.
- Go find some new clothes.
Come on Snowball, we have to go.
(Mr. Turtle groans weakly)
(Mr. Turtle coughs)
What happened, did
they banish you here?
I finally found my mother,
we have to save her.
Come with us, we have to hurry.
- There's no way I can, boys.
There's enough air here and
the fish no longer bother me.
- Huh?
- Thank you for your
offer but I'm okay
and I recommend you go back
where you swam in from. (coughs)
- This time, we will be
the ones who save our mom.
We're going to retrieve the
cure from her massive seashell.
(Mr. Turtle coughs)
- Every day at noon,
Octopus sings his song
and that makes the fish
even more aggressive
His lair is empty
when he's singing.
But please be careful.
If you consume too much
of his poisonous ink,
you will become just
like those poor fish.
The fish need water but
you and I breathe air.
That's why he hates us
and that potion of his
turns everyone into
his slaves. (coughs)
- Ooh.
(ominous chanting)
(ominous music)
(ominous music continues)
- Oohh!
- Huh?
(ominous music)
- [Octopus] Swim, my dears.
Swim to me, my sweethearts,
straight into my mouth.
(Octopus cackles)
Swim closer, closer.
Closer, even closer,
my sweethearts .
- Huh?
(Snowball gasps)
(mysterious music)
Hey, did you forget
what happened
to the octopus
after the plankton?
Oh, I know, we must
follow the plankton
and that's how
we'll find the cure.
- Maybe you're right,
then let's get swimming.
(mysterious music)
Octopus has stopped singing,
we should get outta here.
- [Boy] Wait a second.
- Huh?
- I found it.
- That's the one, blimey.
- Huh?
- I've been looking for you
for 10 long years. (cackle)
Thank you so much,
Dolphin Boy.
(ominous music)
Swim away.
- What are you doing?
Why did you do that?
- My precious medicine.
10 long years and
finally I've found you.
I knew this day would come.
(boy chirps)
- Yee haw. (splashes)
- Snowball, let's
swim around the boat.
That'll distract him.
(tense music)
Give me that.
Hey, what are you trying to do?
I won't let you.
- [Old Man] Get outta here.
- What?
His beard just came off.
- You really think I'll
give up that easily?
Stupid child, it's time
for you to finally learn
the whole truth about
your mom and dad.
Your parents and
I had been testing
that medicine on the fish
in the lab for a few years.
We created it together
and we just started
making money off it.
That cure was making
the fish larger
and of course, more aggressive.
Your father fell victim to them
and then your mother decided
to play the hero and savior.
So she escaped
with our medicine.
Or maybe she just
decided to take
all the money for
herself, don't you think?
I wasn't going to just sit
and watch her ruin everything.
I needed my
precious concoction.
- This was all your fault.
You are the reason the plane
crashed and my mom got hurt.
(boy weeps)
- Poor boy.
There's still so much
that you don't know.
- [Boy] My brother and I will
punish you, you'll regret it.
(oil splashes)
- Ha.
You don't say.
(boy weeps)
(boy screams)
(ominous chants)
This medicine allows me
to make this gigantic
octopus my slave.
Kill him!
(tentacle splashes)
You can't escape now.
(harpoon cocks)
(ominous music)
(ominous music continues)
(boy and Snowball panting)
(seagulls chirping)
- That old man poured
out all the oil
so that we couldn't
catch him up.
We should never
have trusted him.
- Blast it.
- We should not have
let the boy go with him.
(seagull chirps)
- I knew that the
legends were true.
The Savior of the
Sea will come here.
- [Boy] Snowball, Snowball.
- [Murvarid] They came back.
- Snowball saved me but
he swallowed a lot of ink.
- I should leave before
the poison starts working.
- No.
I won't let you leave.
- Remember what Nana told me?
"Take care of your brother."
- [Boy] Maybe she
meant both of us.
- [Murvarid] Kiddo,
you have to let him go.
- Bring me Naheed's tears
as quickly as possible.
What have they
done to you, buddy?
I knew he was up to no good.
- He said Mom and him
were working together.
He wants to pollute the
sea with black potion.
- That's exactly what
Naheed was afraid of.
She tried to prevent
him from doing that.
- Hey, don't be so upset.
It wasn't your mom's fault.
- Your mom was trying to save
people from that black potion.
Naheed's body
contains the antidote.
It's coursing through
your veins as well.
- So that's why her tears
can heal any sickness.
- You must finish what
she started, my dear boy.
- Wait a second, you're saying
that Granny Zar's famous
potion was Naheed's tears?
(somber music)
- Come here, little dolphin.
Here, drink it,
it's Naheed's tears.
They should help you,
it'll make you feel better.
- Ha ha ha ha ha, just like new.
- Snowball, brother.
- Thank good heavens,
we have found a way to
destroy this black filth.
We will keep praying for the
sky to do the rest for us.
- Now everything is clear.
That's why you've lived in
this place for so many years.
- Did you hear, Snowball?
We can't let Octopus
swim through the strait.
Otherwise, the blackness
will envelop everything.
We will keep fighting
just like our moms have.
(somber music)
(ominous music)
- Look, look, it's starting.
The sea's turning black.
- Let Naheed's tears out, girls.
(tears splashing)
(somber dramatic music)
Now it's time to
cleanse the sea.
It's your turn, my little boy.
(boy chirps)
- Yee haw!
- Are you sure, kiddo?
Maybe you shouldn't.
- Hmm?
- [Murvarid] You understand
how dangerous it is, don't you?
- For the sea, for the people,
I will finish what
my mother started.
(boy splashes)
- [Snowball] Yee haw, yee haw.
- You know, if
only I had a ship.
- Hey Captain, you
can take our ship.
- I appreciate it. (chuckles)
But you don't have any fuel.
What good is it?
Huh?
(anxious trumpet tones)
- Well, well, well, just
wait 'til I get a bit closer.
(Murvarid laughs)
- Here comes my ship.
(dramatic drumbeat)
(ominous music)
(boy gasps)
- Hello guys, thank you so much.
We really needed
your help with this
and hello to those who
are wearing shells.
- [Mr. Turtle] Onward!
(boy laughs)
(Octopus grunts)
(anxious rock music)
- Come on, over there and
let's get through this thing.
(Octopus munches)
You're in my command.
(dramatic music)
- Get ready, everybody.
- Attack!
- And go.
Come on, hurry up.
(dramatic music)
(boy screams)
(Snowball laughs)
Go faster, Snowball.
(electricity crackles)
Watch out.
(octopus groans)
- Kill them!
(dramatic drumbeat)
- Here we go now.
- Why are there so many of you?
(shark screams)
- Oh
- Take this.
- [Boy] Let's lure them
into the clean waters.
(boy grunts)
(sea creatures moaning)
(tail splashes)
- You can't hide
from us. (cackles)
Huh?
It's a trap, move, move.
- Huh?
- Huh?
- Huh?
- Huh?
- Oh wow.
- Oh wow.
- Oh wow.
(boy laughs)
- Look, they're
coming back to normal.
The poison's not working here.
- That's a lot better.
(sea creatures laughing)
- Oh wow.
- Yay, I feel much better now.
- Congratulations, you
did an amazing job.
- Don't celebrate just yet.
I'll give you quite
a party. (cackles)
(water sloshes)
- Hey, over there,
help has arrived.
- Look, look there, the sea's
getting lighter by the second.
- [Sailor] Uh-huh, and the
fish have calmed down too.
- Now we're talking.
- Yes.
- Tell me about it.
- Now we're talking.
- Look at that.
They're all diving in.
- [Sailor] We can finally
fish in the wharf.
- It's time for you
to prove yourself.
- Ha ha, yes.
- Watch
and learn.
(dramatic rhythmic music)
- He's gonna jump.
(sailors laughing)
- The Captain is back.
(Murvarid splashes)
- It's time to teach
that eight-legged giant
and his master a
lesson, come on.
- Stay far away from
the black waters.
- Hmm.
Ha.
I got it, Snowball and I
will handle the old man
and you take care of
the octopus, okay?
(dramatic music)
- We don't have a lot
of Naheed's tears left.
We have to hold on
until it starts raining
or else Octopus
will enter the sea
through the strait
and pollute it.
(ominous music)
- What do we have here?
Looks like the losers club.
(octopus growls)
- Here we go, it's time.
Let's begin, be
careful out there.
(shark chomps)
(octopus screams)
- Come on already.
(blowfish exhales)
- Ha ha.
Ha ha, couldn't think of
anything better, could you?
- Do you actually
enjoy being like this?
- Yes, I really, really do.
- Whoa.
- Where are you going?
- [man] Humble in defeat.
Have you ever heard
that expression?
- What do we do?
(old man cackles)
- You two can never fool me.
(tense music)
(ominous chanting)
- Ah.
(octopus screams)
(octopus grunts)
- Whoa.
(dramatic drumbeat)
(man grunts)
(ominous music)
- We're falling back.
(ominous chanting)
- [Sailor 1] Hey, get away.
- [Sailor 2] Take us out.
(sailors screaming)
(tentacle splashes)
- [Sailor 3] Hey, get away!
(sailors screaming)
(lightning crackles)
(Octopus growls)
- Run away!
(octopus roars)
(tentacle crashes)
(debris splashes)
- Run away!
- Ah, ha, ha, ha!
- Soon the entire ocean
shall be mine and mine alone.
Hey you, you freeze it there.
(octopus roars)
What are you doing,
you stupid animal?
- Huh?
- Drop the bottle, hurry.
- Drop it.
- Save yourself.
- What are you doing, mollusk?
You turned into this
solely because of me.
(Octopus growls)
(man screams)
- Oh.
(dramatic music)
(lightning crackles)
- Whoa.
- We have to do something.
(fire crackles)
- [Sailor 1] Well,
that's hard luck.
What do we do? We're trapped.
- [Sailor 2] Somebody help.
(Octopus roars)
Anyone?
- Mommy.
- Look, there's people there.
- If he makes it to the island,
he'll poison all the waters.
- [Sailor 3] What do we do?
(boy crying)
- [Snowball] Is your
nose bleeding again?
- Blood, of course.
How did I not think of that?
- We're trapped.
- Naheed's blood runs
through my veins.
- Hey, hey, kiddo, what
are you thinking of doing?
- Take us to the whale, hurry.
(tense music)
Brother, take care of
the fish and our mommy.
- [Murvadid] Kiddo, you want to
catch a lot of fish,
you'll have to make sacrifices.
(mist hisses)
Whoa.
- [Boy] I will finish what
my mother has started.
(Octopus roars)
(ominous music)
- Huh?
- I'm not gonna let this happen.
(ominous music)
Hey you, ugly eight-legged
monster, look at me.
(octopus roars)
(tense whooshing tones)
(rain pattering)
(sailors cheering)
- What have you done, kiddo?
- Captain, you yourself
have always said the
sea is your friend.
So bring the boy back.
(water sloshes)
- [Sailor] Good luck,
Captain Murvarid.
(steady drumbeat)
(dramatic horn music)
(sparkling chimes)
(steady drumbeat)
- Hmm?
(dramatic horn music)
(steady drumbeat)
(rain pattering)
- Ah.
- Just wake up, please.
(Murvarid grunting)
(boy coughs)
(relaxed music)
Hey!
Hey, he's alive, he's alive!
(waves crashing)
Well of course, as I told you
before, the legends are true.
Well anyway, I was like-
- Wow.
- I put my hand inside
the monster's mouth and then-
- It can't be.
- Hey. (laughs)
(Snowball splashes)
- Hey.
(boy laughs)
- Oh, over there.
(kids laughing)
- Hey, be quiet up-
(wood shatters)
Oh.
- Onward! (laughs)
- Onward.
- Wait a minute, you
don't have any scales.
Get him!
- Yes, follow him.
Get him, get him, get him.
(boy laughs)
- Let's go.
(Snowball splashes)
- [Murvarid] There are
many different legends
but no one knows them all.
(soft piano music)
Except for me, Captain
Murvarid that is.
(sparkling chimes)
(melodic humming)
Many miles away,
there's my only home
Where my mother's
love will keep me warm
You're the one to stay by
my side forever, forever
In my soul, you
have a holy place
Your tender hand, your
voice and your embrace
On my own, my paradise
And all the time,
I seek your eyes
Momma, you gave me
life to treasure
A love beyond all measure
My home is where you are
And I
Can do
Everything and be
stronger for your sake
Momma, I need you for
each breath I take
I
Can do
All you wish, Momma, I'll
give you all the world
(melodic humming)
At moments when it's
freezing and very dark
Inside me, I can feel
your little spark
And when I take a dive,
you're my air for breathing
For breathing
Your heartbeat is
here, it's right in me
So I can hear you
if I'm undersea
You are far away
but we have ties
And all the time
I seek your eyes
Momma, you gave me
life to treasure
And love beyond all measure
My home is where you are
And I
Can do
Everything and be
stronger for your sake
Momma, I need you for
each breath I take
I
Can do
All you wish, Momma, I'll
give you all the world
Let your smiling
light in every single day
Every night in the
dark, I think of you and pray
And pray
And despite the
evil distance
There's no turn of destiny
That would make us
part, we will never part
As we are family
And I
Can do
Everything and be
stronger for your sake
Momma, I need you for
each breath I take
I
Can do
All you wish, Momma, I'll
give you all the world
If you wish, Momma, I'll
give you all the world
