Fanmade: Enhypen (2024) Movie Script

So, starting off,
we have a little photo book
with Jay on it.
It's actually my sister's,
but I kind of claim it as mine.
Right here is one of my
favorite purchases.
It's Jake's, like,
birthday collection, this rug.
I bought it, yeah!
I felt so excited to get it.
Oh! My favorite part
of my room, actually.
Jake's signature. Very nice.
My friend gave this to me.
As you can see,
it's more Jake photo cards.
This is my sister's
part of the room.
There's a Jay postcard
right here as well.
I thought it was funny
to put Jake next to my bed.
Sweet dreams!
"You're invited!
Dear Clarissa,
you're invited to attend
the Galaxy Fanmade,
a special concert for fans"--
Oh, my God,
I can't even read the rest!
"A special concert for fans
of ENHYPEN
that will be held on May 7th
in Dallas.
You and four other fans
will be contributing
your individual talents
to make the show special
for ENHYPEN fans
around the world.
Clarissa, your role involves
choosing the food options
for the concert.
We want you
to bring your creativity--
You're gonna choose
the food?
- Isn't that crazy?
- Yeah!
Oh, my God!
Different palettes,
everybody has different tastes.
Like, it's a lot of work,
but I got it.
Wow, that's amazing!
Ay, ay, ay!
Alessandra, you know
we're going to see ENHYPEN?
It's you and me
in this world, tie me
Just come kiss me
and bite me, oh, babe
It's you and me
in this world, light me
You're the fastest
K-pop boy band
to surpass one billion streams.
Wow.
My guests are one
of the biggest groups in the world
and showing no signs
of stopping anytime soon...
ENHYPEN.
ENHYPEN.
- ENHYPEN.
- ENHYPEN.
Are you ready
to make some noise, y'all?
ENGENE!
Make some noise!
Korean pop music
is a global phenomenon.
- Groups build fandoms.
- It brings people together
around something that's really
deeply meaningful.
Fans all over
the world find different ways of connecting.
Forging friendships
in the process.
'Cause I know
you'll save me
Come here and get some,
yeah
Just come over and bite me
It's you and me
in this world, tie me
Oh, my, oh, my God
'Cause I know
you'll save me
It's you and me
in this world, light me
Just come kiss me
and bite me
Yeah-eh-eh
Cheers!
I'll be your boyfriend,
I'll be your boyfriend
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I'll be your boyfriend
Their outfits are so cute.
Especially Ni-ki in the beret.
Yeah.
I'll be your boy, boyfriend
They're so cool.
I haven't seen a group
dance like that
in so many years.
At first, when "Given-Taken"
came out,
I was like,
"Oh, a new group,"
I was just a casual listener.
Given or taken, oh
But then I kept talking
about them more,
my friend was like,
"Are you sure you don't like ENHYPEN?
Sure you're not an ENGENE?"
During high school,
my parents pressured me a lot.
They were like, "You need
to know what you're gonna do."
But I didn't have an exact plan.
I was watching
this video,
and Jay gave
the members scarves.
He knew so much
about the materials.
"Oh, this is wool,
it's from this brand,
it's sourced from this..."
I started getting books
from the library
and learning more about fashion
reading articles online.
Jay, his love
for fashion
and his way to express himself
through clothes,
was like the final push for me
to go into fashion,
be like, this is what I wanna do
for the rest of my life.
Sorry, sorry! I'm just in shock.
I'm like all...
"You are invited to attend
Galaxy Fanmade,
a special concert for fans
of ENHYPEN.
You and four other fans
will be contributing
your individual talents.
Your task, Sophie, is to create
a style guide
for fans attending the show.
The color palette you choose
will help inform
the look of the show
from fans' choices
to the art design on stage.
We want you to bring
all your creativity
to show how being an ENGENE
has inspired you."
I mean,
cry if you need to.
I'm not crying. I don't know
what to do with myself.
There's so many thoughts
running in my head.
I'm like, "What should I do?"
What colors? What styles?
I'll be able to, like...
reach a bunch of people,
I think.
I think I can do it.
"Dear Molly, your task
is to design a unique gift
for fans attending the show.
We want you
to bring your craftiness
and knowledge of the fandom
to create something special
for ENGENES
to commemorate the event."
Wow.
Oh. Oh. Ooh.
Okay.
I mean, I have a little
disposable income,
and so last tour,
I was like,
I want to make something
for other fans for free.
I made bookmarks, magnets,
stickers...
I mean, I made so many things.
These are the stickers.
And I ordered, like,
I don't know how many stickers.
A lot.
This is Sunghoon.
These are the Jungwon stickers.
His always go quickly,
I feel like.
These are the Ni-ki stickers.
So it's called "aegyo."
Purposely looking cute.
Ni-ki does not do that often.
So it was quite hard to find
any photo, but...
his emoji representation
is a duck,
and so this one
is kind of like a duck pouting.
Sunoo, on the other hand,
does lots of aegyo,
so it was really easy for me
to find cute photos of him.
He made my job super easy.
I think it's a testament
to, like, how much
star power each of them has
that they truly,
like, everyone in the group
has even popularity.
But I think, naturally, you find
like maybe there's a member
you just connect with.
I think part of the thing
that Jake connected for me is...
So he moved from Australia
to Korea to pursue his dream.
I moved away
from my whole family
to go to law school,
and I think the type
of personality that he has
to, like, put himself
in that situation
and deal with that discomfort,
like, I resonated with.
Also, I genuinely believe
that looking at his smile
will help anyone feel better.
It's like a proven fact.
I get connected
because of how they
treat other people,
how they treat each other,
how invested they are
in their music.
I mean, obviously they are seven
very good-looking individuals,
but that's not what draws
my level of, like...
...engagement,
for lack of a better word.
That's what this is called.
So, COVID was happening
and, um...
I saw I-Land was airing
and I was like,
I'm obsessed with this,
but I also feel my mom
would be obsessed with this.
It was just like something
for us to bond over.
I absolutely got so invested,
and I knew
they were set to debut
at the end of November of 2020.
We started from
a show called I-Land.
It was a competition,
like audition program.
We all met each other
in that show.
One, two, three and four.
Every week
we had to perform one song.
The fans just saw us
grow from the beginning.
So I think they know
where we started,
and I think we're all
in this journey together.
Welcome to my humble office.
OT-7 means all of the members,
so I have an OT-7 collection
of their signatures,
and also the little dolls that
go with their personality.
Like, their
animal representation.
All the banners
that I've collected,
a picture that I went to take
at a photo booth
where you could pretend like
you're taking a photo with them.
I designed this light stick
for my wedding.
Obviously, it's been through
a lot. It's missing some beads.
But I made this in the hopes
of making it look like
a bouquet
and partied with it
on the dance floor
at my wedding.
Two...
Three...
You want me to be
your personal trainer?
Yeah, I guess so.
All right, let's go!
- Let's go!
- Let's go.
Do three sets of five.
Don't break your nail.
Thanks.
Perfect. Cool.
Now we just gotta add on
more weight.
Uh-huh.
We are
complete opposites.
Yes, I'm physically inclined,
- she's mentally inclined.
- Yeah.
I'm a software designer.
I design for data and AI.
Perfect.
- I'm an introvert.
- I'm the extrovert.
- And you're an extrovert.
- Yes.
He can do a lot
of physical activities,
like working out,
lifting every single day,
and I'm in my room creating art.
That's what I usually do.
Give me eight.
Feet back.
There you go.
Yeah, I'm a firefighter,
so I have to upkeep
my physical abilities.
So, like, fitness, dancing,
breakdancing/breaking/B-boying.
- I like passionate people.
- Yeah.
Being a dedicated ENGENE
is like having a second job.
I join the streaming parties
so I can up their streams
and help them chart better.
I am in the 0.001% of streamers.
For ENHYPEN specifically.
I am on a voting team,
create artwork for them,
things like that.
I saw a smile.
I'm not egotistic, I'm not...
- I have no...
- You're not worried?
I'm not worried.
Who's your bias?
You. See that?
I said the right thing, right?
You don't wanna change someone
if they're gonna--
that's who you fell
in love with, so...
- Don't wanna stunt their growth.
- That's how we feel.
All right, all right, all right.
Let's see what
I can work with, all right?
Yay!
Let me see!
Wow.
K-pop dance is only something
I got into actually this year.
It's like a great way
for me to de-stress,
you know, like when school
gets really busy.
I think there's a misconception
that because K-pop artists
are like so pretty or handsome,
the dance is like easy,
but then when you
actually learn it,
it's like, this is easy
because they make it look easy.
But it's actually not.
- Best choreography.
- Oh.
- "Drunk-Dazed."
- "Drunk-Dazed."
Daze, daze, daze
Can't control my body
Looks like
they have no bones, but they also have power.
So...
There's just something about
Sunghoon
that's just very captivating.
When I go to their concerts
or watch
their performances,
I'm like, Sunghoon.
But, like, obviously
they're all good dancers.
All right, in "Sweet Venom,"
I'm Jungwon.
I'm covering Jake.
I'm covering Heeseung.
I'm covering Sunghoon.
I'm covering Sunoo.
I am Ni-ki.
I am Jay. I am Jay.
Yeah
Hey, I see your face
You're up to somethin'
You make me nervous
with your love games, oh
Drunk on your poison
in my blood veins
I'll never be the same
Now I'm spinnin' in my room
Feelin' kinda strange
Wishin' I could get
another taste of your
Sweet-ee-eet venom-nom-nom
Yeah, all I need-ee-eed is
your poison, is your poison
Sweet-ee-eet, ee-ee-ee-eet
Sweet venom
Sweet venom
Sweet venom
Sweet-ee-ee-eet,
ee-ee-ee-eet venom
So basically, I'm not coming
to Sunday practice on May 5th.
Oh, my gosh,
you might wonder why.
ENHYPEN is holding a fan concert
for some fans.
We have an unreleased song.
It was written for ENGENEs
to sing to the band at the concert.
So this is like unreleased?
You guys are the only people
who know about this.
Top secret.
So my job was to make
the choreography for it
that everyone in the audience
will be learning,
and we'll be surprising
ENHYPEN with.
So, yeah, let's listen
to the song!
Ayyy, ayy, ayy, ayyy,
ENGENEs here now forever
Catch flights,
go wherever we go
These nights,
somethin' only we know, oh
Anywhere in the world
feels like we're
Hey, right? Pretty cool.
Yeah.
I wanna do
the kimchi jeon.
It's like the pancake.
I wanna try that.
All I can think about
is the corn cheese.
Order it so I can try it!
- 'Cause I'm curious.
- It's so good.
You guys said
it was so good,
I gotta see the hype.
Hi, how are you guys?
You know what you want to order
or need more time?
- The kimchi jeon.
- I'll also get the corn cheese.
- You want the corn cheese?
- Yes.
The tofu shitake.
- Tofu shitake?
- Yeah!
- There you go.
- Thank you so much!
You're welcome.
Milkis? I don't know
if I'm saying it right.
Let me try it again.
It really tastes
like yogurt.
It just tastes like yogurt
but if it was a soda.
- It's a great combination.
- It really is.
- It's unexpectedly good.
- Mm-hmm.
I'm excited
to pick out the foods,
and I hope everybody
likes our choices.
It's crazy because
I'm a really picky eater.
It's going to open doors
for more people to want to try things.
First when we got into K-pop,
we were curious about how like--
What was it, kimchi fried rice?
How that tasted.
It was harder back then
Korean food wasn't as popular
- as it is now.
- Right.
At least here in South Florida.
Yeah, at least in South Florida.
Finally! We've seen a person!
I got an ad of a music video,
and I was like,
"Oh, this is different.
This is cool."
Like a fever, fever, fever
You know,
they're made for the fans,
they're reading comments,
they're replying back to fans.
Yeah, we all
go through hard times,
but saying your feelings
out loud
really helps you, sort of,
cope with it,
and sort of heals you
a little bit.
That's what I've realized.
Everyone wants to
be loved in a way, you know?
Before K-pop, you remember,
like, I was at a very low state
- in my life.
- Yeah.
As women,
you grow up with that comparison
to other girls.
Who's prettier?
Who's more good-looking?
Who's skinnier or fatter,
- or whatever.
- Right, right.
And it's just like
very hard to navigate around.
I wanted to give up
on everything.
- Exactly.
- You know?
And seeing you go through that,
it was so hard
that, genuinely,
I'm going to cry.
- And-- I know.
- You're gonna make me cry.
Watching you go from
your lowest, like,
state of mind,
to, like, you today...
so many people, I feel like,
"Oh, it sounds so silly.
- It's just K-pop."
- Mm-hmm.
But the amount of nights
that we would spend
just like watching music videos,
literally like,
"Oh, my God,
did you see what they posted?"
Just moments of happiness.
And that's all I could wish
for, like, you.
And the fact that K-pop
was able to help us out
was just so beautiful.
I don't know how to explain it.
There's no other word
to describe it.
When I was watching I-Land,
you were like,
"You know, it's things
like these that motivate me
to do things that are
outside of my comfort zone."
Seeing them at that age,
my age,
- pull through what they did...
- Mm-hmm.
And seeing the amount
of endurance it took,
the strength, the courage
that they had to go through,
and I was like,
oh, my gosh,
they're showing me
how to chase my dream.
So, last year, I was like,
okay, here's my plan.
The right career for me
and my personality,
and how I love
talking to people
- and traveling...
- Mm-hmm.
...is to be a flight attendant!
That is my biggest dream!
That's all I want in life.
You were always interested
in that. - To travel!
It's incredible
what music can do.
Like I said, good crunch.
I was just searching
about my dream
when I was a kid.
I just found
the artists' name, BTS,
and in that moment,
my heart kind of
start for the first time.
K-pop groups usually
train together for a long time
before they debut,
but we only started
to work together
when we, you know, debuted.
We were the most
youngest boys in the total scene.
We used to do
a group meeting every night.
Sit in a circle
and we'd talk about
what went good,
what went bad, you know,
if two of the members
were having
a little bit of an argument,
the seven of us would all
just gather around
and just talk about it.
We all kind of
make up for each others' weakness.
I think that's a really
good balance.
The seven of us,
we all have the same goal.
To become number one.
Yeah.
Okay, so I was thinking
of different things
that we could do
for a freebie because,
for their concerts, they've
given away some cool things.
Like, in one of their albums,
they actually gave,
like, fragrances.
So, thinking about that,
I was like, well, we could do
candles that have fragrances
for, like, multiple albums.
And then I was thinking,
okay, which albums would work?
So, like, their first album
is purple,
so that makes sense for
like a lilac-lavender one,
their second album
was red and black,
so that's more
of a spicier scent, I feel like.
And then they have
a green album.
That one I'm thinking
could be a minty aloe.
The fourth one
is their Dark Blood album,
which is like black and white.
So that one, I think,
is more of a...
"Dark academia" is not a scent,
but that's the--
- that's the vibe.
- Okay.
And the last one
is Orange Blood,
which, citrus, you know.
But I've never made a candle.
So I have no idea
how to do this.
What was
the first one called?
So the first one
is purple,
and I'm thinking for a name,
like, "Flickering Dawn."
Do you want it to be floral?
- Or herby?
- Floral.
Okay.
Ooh. Lavender and geranium.
Ooh. I like that.
Yes, this is the scent
I feel like
- I'm thinking of, yeah.
- Okay.
Black pepper?
Ooh. No, no.
- Too...
- Not those two together.
Yes, this. This is good.
So, I really
like perfumes,
and Sunoo actually did a vlog
where he went
and made his own perfume.
Is he your favorite member
of the band?
No, my bias is Jake,
- but...
- Your bias?
- Yeah, yeah.
- Is that what you just said?
So in K-pop, they call
your favorite member "a bias."
There are bias wreckers,
like, the member
that is kind of is right--
almost at their bias.
- Wait, bias wrecker?
- Yeah.
Yeah, like wrecking a bias.
- Oh, my God!
- Yeah.
I feel so old all of a sudden.
Oh, my God!
No! It's for everyone. Trust me.
Ooh. I think too...
Cedar-y?
I was gonna say bacon-y.
People who aren't
into K-pop,
they'll sometimes think
it's weird.
They'll be like, "Oh, you know,
I don't get it,"
but it's very similar to sports.
There are some sports fans
who, like, will watch games,
they don't have
any particular team,
and then there are some
sports fans
who have one team
that they really support,
and then there's another sector
of sports fans that are like--
they're going to paint
their body,
they're gonna know all the stats
of like every player
for the last 30 years.
And so that's
kind of like K-pop.
But I think the vast majority,
it's just about community.
I think all humans
want community.
I first got into the group
when it was the pandemic,
and then eight months in
to the pandemic,
I actually lost my dad,
so then I feel like
I really dove deep
into this specific group
as, like, a healing mechanism.
- An outlet.
- Yeah, yeah.
- I love that.
- Yeah.
I am happy with the scents.
I feel like...
they smell like the colors
I'm envisioning, so that's good.
Final approval? More bergamot?
- No, this is good.
- Okay.
This is perfect.
There are so many
treasures here.
Like vintage Prada, my favorite.
'Cause I like timeless pieces
and basic pieces
that I can wear.
For ENHYPEN, they wear
a lot of streetwear
and darker colors.
Ever since I got into them,
I've found myself
changing my style a little bit,
wearing darker colors,
and even leather jackets.
These shoes that I got,
I don't think I would've
bought these a couple years ago,
if I hadn't gotten into ENHYPEN.
They all have different styles.
Jungwon, he tries to wear
cardigans and knits and stuff,
while Heeseung wears more denim
and streetwear.
And for Sunghoon, he wears
more structured pieces
like blazers and turtlenecks.
And then Jay is like
more grunge looks.
Sunoo wears more colors.
Ni-ki, he said in an article
that I read
that he likes denim a lot.
And then, Jake also wears
a lot of streetwear, too.
I think I would wear this
to an ENHYPEN concert.
And then have, maybe,
a white lace top over it.
Hold on to her.
So do you go to FIT?
Okay, nice!
I'm a first-year.
I want to go into art directing.
ENHYPEN, they're having
a special concert.
I'm going to be helping create
a style guide or a lookbook.
- Wow! That's exciting!
- I know!
I'm pretty confident
in what I'm going to do,
but it's like, what are
other people going to think?
What are they going to think?
I'm still kind of shy,
but I'm more open
about how I dress.
So then sometimes that starts
conversation with people,
and I'm able
to talk to them about it.
And, "Oh, my God,
I thought you were so shy."
And it's like, yeah, but...
It's gotten better.
Now I really like
expressing myself
through clothes.
And, like,
experimenting sometimes.
I almost want to say denim
would be a good look
for the show.
'Cause they do tend
to incorporate it a lot.
No matter what,
where you're from,
what size or anything,
you can incorporate
all elements.
Just, like, as long as you feel
that's right for you,
and if you're like,
oh, we're matching with ENHYPEN,
then that works as well.
Ta-da!
Every once in a while
I come here
and get a little snack.
Now the pressure's on.
I personally love
sweet and salty combinations,
so I want other people
to try that as well.
Oh, my God.
These are churro chips.
They're so good. It's so
perfect. It's, like, cinnamon-y.
Literally, the best blend
that anybody
could ever put in a chip.
This one says, "Challenge me."
I'm not good with spice,
but why not?
There's a lot of people
who like spicy things, so why not?
This is a strawberry roll cake.
I just wanna try it out
'cause it looks very fluffy.
Like spongy, you know?
I'm scared. I'm a picky eater.
But we're gonna do...
crab chips. Yeah, okay.
This is different.
So this is like
Jungwon's favorite snack.
This looks like a jelly.
It looks like a stress ball!
Yeah, we should go
look for this.
We're gonna take this one.
Ooh! For the ice cream!
I actually like kimchi.
It's a little sour-y,
which is cool.
I definitely think it has become
more mainstream
because of K-pop.
People are watching their
favorite idols eat it and stuff.
Like, if I saw ENHYPEN,
I'd be curious.
"Oh, what are they eating?"
You know?
I think I grabbed
everything I was curious about.
I'm currently
in my UCLA dorm,
and I thought I'd give you guys
a little tour.
So, it's gonna be pretty quick
because it is very small.
Here is the top of my desk.
I love strawberries and nature
and flowers
so that's all of that.
Right now,
I'm a freshman
at UCLA studying Bio.
The dream at the end
is to one day own
my own private clinic
and be a veterinarian.
Definitely high school
was a really hard time for me.
I was working full-time
at a vet clinic,
studying for exams,
so many all-nighters.
Then I had my other job
from like 7:00 to 12:00
working at a movie theater.
My biggest struggle was just
wondering if I was doing enough.
Both of my parents
are immigrants,
so my dad
came from the Philippines
and my mom came from Vietnam.
I'm just so grateful that,
you know,
they decided
to have my brother and I,
and they really gave up
everything for us.
My dad and mom
would always say,
"We weren't really able to
have all the things
that you guys have,
and so we want to make sure
you guys can be
really successful."
I really don't want any
financial burden
on my parents, so...
'cause I just feel like
they've given so much to me already,
I don't want
to put more on them now.
We could go left to right,
leave our minds, space & time
Think about it this way,
think about it that way
Now the galaxy is ours
I'm choreographing the chorus.
It talks a lot about, like,
you know, "It feels like
we're home,"
and it's like we're all together
so I really want it to be
something that everyone--
even if you've never danced
a single day in your life,
you can do.
So the first two moves
are just like,
hit, hit, da, da.
And I think, you know,
when people are having a party,
it's just like whoo!
So I just wanted something
that was cute and simple.
And then it's like,
"ENGENEs here now forever,"
so just look
to your right and left.
You know, fellow ENGENEs.
This is "pass the mic."
It's inspired by that.
And then, "all together,"
and then it's repeated again,
doo-doo,
and then, "ENGENEs here
now and forever."
So you look to your left, right,
fellow ENGENEs,
then, in your heart together.
"Catch flights,
go wherever we go,
these nights,
something only we know,
and you just
party, party, party,"
and then, at the end,
"anywhere in the world
feels like we're..."
And so that is just,
"We love ENHYPEN."
Yeah.
I like peanut butter.
I have a few must-have things
before the performance
or something.
I always carry kind of perfumes.
It just made me
feel comfortable, I guess.
I just bought this kind of...
cherry, rum,
and tobacco something, I guess?
Onstage, it really makes me feel
kind of like confident, I guess.
I try to be
the spokesperson of this group
whenever we're in the States,
'cause I can communicate,
but I'm not really
a talkative person,
so it's like...
I have to really focus
and try extra hard.
This is me, like,
trying really hard.
I want to look as comfortable
and relaxed as possible
up on the stage,
even though
I'm really nervous inside,
I don't want that to show.
I feel like that's part of
almost being professional
a little bit.
It's like, all of us get nervous
before going on stage,
but we pretend not to be.
I'm trying my best.
ENHYPEN! ENHYPEN!
Thank you!
I used to get caught up
on little mistakes a lot.
You know, I would get
so frustrated at myself.
Like a year and a half
after I debuted,
V from BTS, he actually
invited us for dinner.
And I actually
asked him this question:
"How do you do so well
up on stage?
And how do you forget about,
you know, the little mistakes,
or how do you not
get caught up on things?"
And he actually told me,
"It's not going to be
the last time you fall."
And I think after that
I realized,
I need to
kind of
enjoy the moment
a little bit more.
Success!
On Sundays,
we often play basketball.
You can buy meat in--
You can buy some meat
in market.
We are celebrating
Jay's birthday.
He is turning 22,
so I got this cake,
which is his favorite color.
It's so cute.
Okay, let's get this right.
ENGENEs, we like to celebrate
their birthday with a cake.
You know, just take a picture
with them,
and post,
and hope that they see it.
And so I just have a bunch
of his pictures,
and he's known for being
a really comforting person,
and just adorable.
Here we go.
I've seen so many people
that are not passionate,
and they just feel...
- ...lifeless inside.
- Right?
So, you know,
it keeps us younger,
it keeps us looking forward
to the next day.
Sometimes work is hard,
so we both are grown adults,
- and we need to decompress.
- Yeah, we have our own outlets.
Yeah.
That's so cute.
My task is to rally up
the ENGENE artists,
have them send in their
wonderful and beautiful work,
to answer the prompt:
"What does an ENGENE
mean to you?"
These are just sketches
that I made.
First, I started off
thinking of connection,
so when they
introduce themselves
they do this
little hand movement.
And they say,
"One, two, connect."
And then the other thing
I wanted to draw
was the red string of fate.
So when you find
your ultimate group,
you're fated
to have found someone
and then, like,
love them unconditionally.
So, there's a lot of good
art pieces that got sent in.
I really love that.
This one's super cool
because it's talking about
anxiety and stress
and they struggle,
and all these
negative emotions,
but then, when you're listening
to ENHYPEN,
it helps to make it
a little bit better.
When you're older,
life gets harder.
I feel really happy
in my career and successful,
but although I may look
put together,
in my mind, it's chaotic.
Just trying to balance
the colors.
But I'm hoping that all this
will come together.
I'll get it done.
People are like, "What?
You're this age
and you listen to K-pop?"
But I think it's even better
because I'm older,
that I know who I am,
and I'm okay with it.
When I think of them,
I feel like
they're like my cats.
Come here! Come on!
Just someone
that I love unconditionally.
And it's completely platonic.
Hi!
Hi!
Nice to meet you guys.
Nice to meet you too.
We're finally all united.
I'm so happy
to have met everyone
because, like, where I live,
there's not a lot of ENGENEs.
- All right, let's go through...
- Love it.
...what everyone contributed,
'cause I'm still...
I created a style guide
for the concert.
I created looks and stuff
that ENGENEs can take
inspo from.
- I like that!
- That's so cool.
My job was coming up
with a freebie,
so what I ended up doing
is candles
based on different albums.
So cool!
That so cute,
are you kidding me?
Oh, my God,
that's so cool.
To think that they're going to
know my name, or whatever,
and they're going to be
right in front of me.
No! Please!
I am a little nervous,
'cause, like, yeah...
If I think about it too hard,
I start feeling sick.
- I'm not gonna think about it.
- Same.
I've never done anything
like this in my life.
Here we are, guys.
I feel like
I've known you guys forever.
Bye!
- Corn y pistachio!
- Yeah!
Which one do you want first?
- Corn.
- Corn?
Yeah, it looks like
the corn.
This is very good.
You like it?
Yeah, the corn is good.
All right. It's spicy.
But I want to try it.
I know one thing
for sure is we're very grateful,
because if you guys, you know,
didn't have the courage
to come here
and move the whole family,
and like, you know...
I would never experience
everything that I have so far.
Aw, thank you, Mommy.
Thank you for coming
today, ENGENE. I love Oakland.
It was a wonderful night.
Unforgettable memories.
Make some noise!
This is a newspaper,
the Seattle Times.
And there's me in here!
Thank you, Tacoma!
Hey!
Hey!
Wow.
Okay.
Can I have two
Philly cheese sandwich?
Hot dog?
Just realizing that they always
look up to us.
They always just watch
what we're doing.
Every single word,
every single thing we say
is, like, so important to them.
That does put a bit of pressure
on us a little bit,
but I wouldn't say
it's a bad pressure.
'Cause that means that a lot
of people really admire us.
We're in a good position
to give out
a lot of positive energy.
Anaheim. Ahaheim.
I'm freaking out.
The week is here where all
these things will come together.
I'm in Dallas.
Dallas? Dallas?
Right now we're at the airport.
I feel kind of nervous.
I'm currently at my gate.
I've never taken a flight
by myself.
I cannot believe that I'm really
gonna meet them tomorrow.
and, like, actually spend time--
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God!
Oh, my God!
- I love your fit!
- Thank you. I love the pink.
I had to impress you, you know,
with my fashion, girl.
Hi!
Oh, my God, we're like twins!
Hi! Oh, my God!
Oh, my God, you look so cute!
I'm so nervous, guys.
I've only seen them
from a distance in concert.
- So this is really...
- What do I do with my hands?
What?
It's a bug.
Let's go.
Hello, we are ENGENE!
- Okay.
- We're good, we're good.
- Hi!
- Nice to meet you!
How are you guys?
Nervous.
We were talking about how, like,
it was so late at night
and you went live.
Yeah!
He always does it really late.
Ta-da! I brought snacks!
I brought snacks
to the party today!
So I have, like, sweets, spicy,
salty, and gummies.
Gummies for Jungwon!
So fans are actually
going to be able to experience
the same snacks
you guys are eating right now.
So, it's like...
It's just a little activity,
you know, for everybody to try
Korean snacks.
Wow, nice.
Those are
my favorite.
Churro chips.
- Thank you.
- Of course!
So, I'm representing
the artist ENGENEs.
I've put together
a fan art project,
and so I'm going to show you
a few pieces.
And here is one.
Feels real.
Actually, on our team,
only Ni-ki's good at drawing.
This is my drawing,
and I have defined
what an ENGENE means to me.
Supportive, dedicated
and connected, so...
- Whoa, that's amazing!
- My job was
to choreograph some choreo--
like, dance--
that you'll see tomorrow.
So I can't show you
that much yet,
but tomorrow you'll see it.
Because of Jay,
I got super into fashion,
and was able to get into
my dream school,
Fashion Institute.
So I made outfits
that fans can go by.
This is
the color palette
that I came up with
for the concert.
So, you guys did,
with your Orange Blood album,
you did fragrances.
So I made candles
based on your albums.
This one's, like, more floral-y.
This is the third one.
I think this one Jay might like,
but I don't know
if the rest of you will
because it's kind of really...
"Whiskey in the library,"
for lack of a better word.
I love it.
Which one?
- You saved us one.
- I did.
Yeah, you did
really well.
I'll quit my lawyer job.
My question
is for Sunoo.
Yes, you. You're very bright
and I love your energy.
You're like a sun,
like, literally.
So my question is,
how do you maintain that energy?
And what positive impact do you
want to make in this world?
I felt your energy
and I could relate to it.
I was like, Sunoo and I
are the same, kind of.
You know? The same, yeah.
The same energies.
Thank you for telling us.
Thank you for sharing that.
I know you're
really close with your mom,
and that you've gone to her
for advice,
you know, as you've gone
throughout your idol journey.
I'm actually really close
with my mom, too.
And we don't live
in the same state in the US,
so I call her a lot for advice.
So, I was just wondering
if there was a piece of advice
that's really stuck with you
or helped you.
There's one
that comes to my head.
It was when I was feeling
a little bit overwhelmed with everything.
We are kind of risking
everything we have,
and spend all our youth
to do this job right now,
which is kind of overwhelming
and kind of scary,
- if you think about it.
- Yeah.
But she just told me
to enjoy everything you do,
spread my positivity to fans,
and those two are the only thing
that you should think about.
That advice helped me
enjoy this job way more.
I feel like I had similar talks
with my mom about being like--
I was also far away,
so I was like,
I don't know if I made
the right choice.
So... your mom's advice
is applicable
to me too, I guess!
I feel like sometimes we all
put too much pressure
on ourselves. - Yeah.
And it's like,
that gets too overwhelming
and too stressful to handle.
And I think I was at that point.
And I never really
said that to my mom,
but I think she saw through me
and then she told me
that advice then.
- Mom's are good at that.
- Yeah.
I just wanted to say, like,
thank you to all of you.
I think you guys have been
a huge motivation
and inspiration in my life
to continue to do
what I love to do,
and I'm very thankful for
all of you to help me get there.
Aw! That's so sweet!
You're going to make us cry!
Connect!
Thank you.
Don't cry.
I usually do natural,
but since it's a concert,
I want to try to do--
add more color.
So I'm doing the red.
There's so much
I wanted to say.
Like, you guys
have grown so much,
and I feel like
I've grown with them as well.
And how, when I got into them,
I was 15 and now I'm 19
and doing things
that I would never imagine
that I could've done.
Being able to come here
to this event, too,
is a big thing.
It makes me feel like I can do
anything I put my mind to.
Glitter for under my eyes.
I'm really bad at this,
but I'm going to try.
Okay, this is the outfit
for the concert.
After, like, a month
of speculating
what I was gonna wear,
I ended up getting this
denim top and skirt,
which reminds me of Sunghoon
in "Sweet Venom."
So hopefully somebody
notices that.
These are my shoes
that I thrifted.
To match the color palette,
I decided to take purple ribbon,
have a pop of color.
I'm so happy
you got to meet him. - Thank you.
I don't know how I just lead
a normal life after that.
Like, what?
How does one recover?
I'm actually so bad at
makeup and stuff.
Meeting them nerve-racking,
oh, my God, they've seen
so many pretty idols
and I'm like, oh, why am I here?
I was nervous!
And then I just
had to be confident.
I, honestly, I can't wait
for the future
and the potentials
that could happen.
I was paying attention
to the flight attendants.
I'm like, this is so cool.
There's the safety instructions.
A lot of people
who are used to traveling
and stuff, they just ignore it.
I always pause my music
and watch 'cause I'm like...
I'm in awe.
I could be doing this.
Oh, God, the door's heavy. Hi!
Hi! You look so nice.
- Spin.
- Do you actually--
- Do you like it? Okay, good.
- Yes.
What color are you wearing?
- I'm wearing denim.
- Denim.
But I'm gonna have red
and then some of the purple.
Okay, I love that. Okay.
We're all gonna be different
colors. I like that!
I have put all of my energy
into school and work,
and so now that I'm 30,
I have friends who are
getting married or having kids,
and I'm like, oh. I'm behind!
I'm like, I don't have
any of that.
I think dating was harder for me
because it took a long time
to kind of accept
that I'm attracted
to both men and women,
but I grew up
kind of religiously,
so that was a bit of a struggle.
Romantic situations
are harder for me
to put myself out there
than, say, arguing a motion
in court.
For me, that's way less
intimidating
than going on a first date.
I would agree.
I think this next year
I'm going to try to put myself
out there a bit more.
Like, sometimes it's okay
to be in the spotlight
as opposed to, like,
standing off to the side.
I needed help picking
whether I should do
the white lace or this color.
- I see the vision.
- You see the vision, right?
This is gonna go
around here? - Yeah.
So this is the belt
and it'll kind of go like...
I don't know how this works,
but it'll be asymmetric,
kind of like that.
When I first got into K-pop,
my parents were like,
"This is kind of
a d istraction from school.
You should focus
on your studies."
I was like, "Oh, okay,"
but then I think
they quickly realized
how happy I became,
and so now they're so supportive
because they realize
it's not hindering me,
it's helping me.
Always make
decisions for you
because, at the end of the day,
you're the one that has to deal
with all the consequences.
So if you do what you love,
everything else will follow.
Sounds great.
That's good.
Would you like
a freebie?
It's lucky draw, don't look.
Follow the rules, y'all!
I know, don't look, don't look.
Oh, my God!
Everyone looks so pretty!
They do, yeah.
It's more fun
when they're posed!
I like that one!
So many flavors
in my mouth.
These are all corn.
I'm so proud of you guys.
I'm proud of each one of you.
- So pretty!
- Oh, you're so cute!
You match the color palette
so well!
So cute!
Who do we got?
- Who's in your holder?
- Jay!
- Cute!
- So pretty!
- You did amazing!
- I tried.
Right, left, and again!
"Sweet venom, party, party,
party-party-what?
We love ENHYPEN!"
One, two, connect!
ENHYPEN! ENHYPEN!
Hello?
Thank you
so much for participating
in this special event.
I'm almost ready
to start the show,
but I'd like to ask you
something.
What are you most
excited about tonight?
I'm most excited
to be here
with all these beautiful people
and connect with you all.
Make some noise!
ENGENEs, please welcome
ENHYPEN!
Hi!
Yo, Dallas, what's up?
All right, let's go!
I'm feeling lucky
Feels all right
Let's go!
I need a diamond ring
Go big or go home
Everybody, pose!
ENGENE, love you!
We bump it up
So, call me P-R-D-X invader
So come on, come on, ayy
Make some noise!
Daze, daze, daze
Can't control my body
Dance, dance, dance
Fellas, we've got
something planned for you.
Bit of a surprise.
Look at the look.
They have no idea.
There was a song
that was created
and inspired by your fans,
and your fans are about to sing
and dance for you
for the first time right here!
ENGENEs, it's all you!
Let's go!
We could go left to right
Leave our minds,
space & time, uhh
But we'll stay, locked in,
cameras rolling, cue the moment
Now we got each other
like a feature
Like a superpower
never weaker
It don't matter where we are
All right,
you guys got this!
Let's go!
Ayyy, ayy, ayy, ayyy,
we'll say it all, altogether
We'll say ayyy, ayy, ayy, ayy,
ENGENEs here now forever
Catch flights,
go wherever we go
These nights,
somethin' only we know
Ay ay ay ay
Anywhere in the world
feels like we're
That just feel
like a dream. Really.
Actually, we wanted to do
something special for you too.
Let's give it up for Heeseung!
Let's go!
Seasons change
and our love went cold
Feed the flame 'cause
we can't let it go
Run away, run away
I dare you to do something
Music.
I'm this person who really
has a lot of...
Korean word is yumang.
Ambition.
I'm just thinking every time
to be a better person
than yesterday.
Thank you.
Let me introduce...
Sunoo.
It's like a Polaroid love
Thank you!
Sunoo! Sunoo! Sunoo!
ENGENEs is really
the greatest in the world.
Let's have a look
at the art you guys sent us
on the big screen.
Our fans
are truly the reason why
we get to do
what we do, you know?
The fans and the seven of us,
now I feel like
we're second family almost.
This is so nice!
Thank you!
We go and shout,
shout, shout
When we're together
Three, two, one
You guys are amazing!
ENGENE, I love you!
Thank you!
Okay, let's go.
Okay.
We can go left to right
Leave our minds,
space & time, uhh
But we'll stay, locked in
Cameras rolling,
cue the moment
Anywhere that we gon' go,
make wherever colorful
Looking at the stars
we know
We're right here,
never be alone
It don't matter
where we are
Got each other now
Now we got each other
like a feature
Like a superpower
never weaker
Something only we know
Home
No, we'll never be alone
Never alone
Got each other now
Ah, ah
Ayy, ayy, ayy
We'll say it all,

Home
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
ENGENEs here now forever
Catch flights
We could go left to right
Leave our minds,
space & time, uhh
But we'll stay, locked in
Cameras rolling,
cue the moment
Now we got each other

Like a superpower
never weaker
Think about it this way,
think about it that way
Now the galaxy is ours
Yeah, there ain't no doubt
It don't matter where we are
Got each other now 'cause
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
We'll say it all,
altogether
We say ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
ENGENEs here now forever
Catch flights,

Throwback to every time
that we bounced back
' Cause now we live
for the moment
It's everything
Now the galaxy is ours
Yeah, there ain't no doubt
It don't matter where we are
Got each other now ' cause
Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
We'll say it all,
altogether
We say ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy
ENGENEs here now forever
Catch flights,
