Horror in the Forest (2023) Movie Script
1
Are you coming?
Don't worry, I'm coming.
Watch your step,
it's flooded over here.
We just got set up.
I know it's late.
But we found some really
cool stuff on our hike.
Yes, she's been on the
GoPro the entire time.
You can review the
footage when we get home.
We've got a long hike tomorrow.
I'll keep you posted and
let you know when we leave.
Yeah, we miss you too.
We'll be home soon, okay?
I love you too. Bye.
Lizzie, I think it's time
to go to bed.
Oh, come on, can we just stay up
a little bit longer, please?
You know what? Sure.
But you have to promise
not to tell your dad
because I told him
- we were going to bed early.
- Deal.
- Like this?
- Yeah, now lay it flat.
All right, so this is gonna
pop up in the middle.
There we go.
Something, I think something
is out there.
I don't know what it is,
it sounds like footsteps.
Mom? Mom?
Hey.
Hey, what's wrong? What's wrong?
- There's someone out here.
- Where?
Outside my tent, I swear I heard.
Lizzie, okay.
It is 3:00 a.m.
We have to be up early.
There is no one here,
it's just us.
It was a person,
I heard them walking.
It was probably an animal,
there's a lot of them
out here, okay?
No, listen to me, it wasn't an animal,
I saw the shadow.
Okay, calm down, calm down.
Would it help you sleep
if I went out there
and show you that everything is fine?
There is no one out here
and there is nothing
to be afraid of, okay?
I'm gonna go out there
and I'm gonna show you
that we're safe.
Please be careful.
I will, baby, I will.
I'm gonna go check it out, okay?
Hello?
Hello? Is anyone here?
Hello?
There's no one out here.
You need to go back to-
- I heard it.
- Okay.
- In the back.
- I'll check over there.
Hello? Hello?
Is there anyone here at all?
Lizzie, it's time to go to bed,
all right?
I checked. There's no one here,
we're safe.
Lizzie, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Call 911, call 911!
Where did you find this?
One of our fans emailed it to us.
Is this real?
I mean, I don't know,
could be fake,
the quality is kind of shit, so.
What do you think?
I don't know, I could look into it
and see if it's real.
- What else did the email say?
- Nothing.
- No location or anything?
- No.
Can you find out where this is?
Yeah, I can figure it out,
as long as it's not fake.
Okay, we ready? All right.
So we're about to spend
our first day out
in the Rudwick Forest.
Never heard of Rudwick?
Well, neither did we.
Until we received a video
of two campers
who went missing a few months back.
And they weren't
the only ones to go missing.
Rudwick is known
for its unusually high number
of abduction cases,
specifically child abductions.
So what makes Rudwick so special?
Why is this unsolved mystery so unique?
It's not just one unsolved mystery,
it's hundreds.
The Rudwick Forest has
per square mile by far
the nation's highest abduction rate.
These abductions, they're cold cases,
like really cold.
Not one person who has been missing
for more than 48 hours
has ever been found.
So, we plan on retracing
the exact steps
of the most recent abductions.
And we're gonna find out
exactly what's happening
in this forest.
So how long have you
lived out here in Rudwick?
My whole life, I pretty
much grew up in the woods.
And what do you think about the rumor
that there's a witch out here?
- I believe it.
- A witch?
There ain't no witches here.
That's what she does.
She takes those kids, forces
them away from their parents,
takes them back deep into the woods.
I haven't seen her,
but I've heard things,
saw some shadows.
I don't like going out
there alone at night.
I don't wanna be taken
like the others.
A lot of jerks come
through these woods
and the border patrol,
they don't do shit.
I don't know,
and I don't wanna know.
Whatever happens out there in
these woods with those kids,
I don't wanna have anything
to do with it.
This town was once
a great place to live.
But tourism has been drying up.
Jobs have been drying up.
Drug and alcohol problems.
They get lost and of course
they have no survivor skills
and then you can't go three
days without clean water,
so, you know.
They see something that
they shouldn't have had
or they come across something
that they weren't supposed to
and then boom,
their body's at the bottom
of the lake somewhere.
Sometimes when life's too difficult
the forest offers you an escape.
And it's impossible
to find you, so.
Wait, are you saying that people
go into the forest to commit suicide?
Sometimes it's easier on your family
to think you got lost or abducted
than you took your own life.
James Murphy, aged seven,
was hiking with his family
a few months back.
It was late and the sun was setting.
James and his sister were
hiking ahead of their parents.
When the parents finally caught up,
only the sister remained.
When police questioned the sister
as to what happened to her brother,
she said that a woman in
black took young James' hand
and led him deep into the woods.
The police never found a body
and the case remains unsolved.
Right now we are in the area
where James was last seen.
Okay, Georgie,
we've been walking around forever,
what exactly are we looking for here?
This is the last place
he was seen alive, supposedly,
so I don't know,
just any remnants of him,
a sign that someone was here?
Come play with me.
Wait, did you hear that?
Come play with me,
come play with me.
Yeah, what is that?
Uh-oh.
I think it's over here.
Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa,
what the hell?
Come play with me,
come play with me.
Uh-oh.
Wait, Georgie.
Uh-oh, come play with me.
Oh, wow.
Come play with me.
Yeah, this is totally normal.
Are you sure you wanna be touching that?
Who the fuck are you?
Get off my land now!
Relax, relax man, relax.
We're cool, we're cool.
No, this is not fucking cool.
Whoa, okay, okay.
Fucking get off.
Just don't, stop pointing
the gun at him, man.
We're lost.
Turn around, go back the other way,
don't come back here.
- Okay, okay, we're going.
- Okay, you got it.
Please move the gun.
Fuck it. Goddamn trespassers.
Holy shit, guys.
That was fucking nuts.
Rudwick Forest my ass.
Hey Bo, can you shut up
and give him a second, please?
Hey Stephen, you good?
Yeah? Yeah?
Deep breaths,
you gotta breathe in and out.
That was a lot.
Yeah, you want some water?
Just way more intense
than I was expecting.
Yeah, I know.
I'm so sorry, dude.
I swear we were on the right trail.
I guess we wandered off,
this place is massive.
If it makes you
feel any better, man,
you took it like a champ.
Yeah, easy to say
from where you were standing.
- All right, let's go.
- Okay.
I think you're fine.
Hey, is our door open?
I swear I shut that door.
Did you lock it?
Yeah Georgie, I locked it.
Hello?
Hey, I think the power is out.
Can you guys get the lights
from the car?
Yeah. Stephen, go with her.
Hello?
Hey, is anybody here?
Hey, did you hear that?
Dude, there's nothing here.
I'm sorry, I was trying
to fix the light.
Let me get the power up and running.
All right, so, tomorrow afternoon?
- I'll be there.
- All right.
Guy's a retired park ranger,
so if anyone knows these woods,
it's gonna be him.
All right, so we have that interview
with the guy who owns
this place tomorrow.
His name is Joe, right?
- Okay.
- Yeah.
- Ex park ranger.
- Right.
Did he apologize earlier
for his damage?
Yeah, he said we thought
we were coming in tomorrow.
I don't know, it was
a whole thing, but fine.
And then while we're out there
we can get a bunch of B-roll
so I feel like we should be
all set, we're on track.
- For tomorrow?
- Yeah.
Okay guys, that's enough
work for the day.
What a first day.
Oh yeah, me almost getting shot,
that's a great first day.
I'm sorry about that again.
It's all good,
it'll be a cool story.
You just have
a very shootable face, Stephen.
What does that even mean?
Oh, my God, that guy was crazy.
As long as we don't go on
that trail again,
- I'll be cool.
- Deal.
He seemed a little unhinged.
Yeah. Well, we have Joe now.
He seems to know the area, so.
True.
Well, I think on that note,
I'm gonna head to bed
and start recharging everything.
- Okay. See you tomorrow?
- Yeah.
- See you guys.
- Bye.
So, Bo.
Do you believe in the witch?
Oh, man, you're asking me questions.
Yeah, it's interview time.
I don't know about a witch but
I think the people in this
town needed something to blame.
You know, made up or not.
Yeah.
I mean, like no bodies at all?
I feel like I'd start
to believe in anything
if I didn't have closure.
I don't think that's true.
What does that mean?
Do you remember that time that you
dragged me around the city
because you found
that missing dog poster?
Oh yeah, yeah.
Eight hours, no car.
Hey, we found the dog, so.
We did find the dog.
That's my point.
You don't give up.
Oh, and we went
to that awful dive bar after.
Oh, my God.
Those terrible drinks.
Oh, God, I was so hungover.
Yeah, that was the last time that we--
- Yup.
- Yeah.
I mean, it doesn't have
to be the last time.
I think someone's a little tipsy.
Just for fun, you know?
It doesn't have to be a big deal.
What?
I think we've got a long day
ahead of us tomorrow.
Stephen's gonna be mad you're messing
with his camera.
All right, Joe,
I'm just gonna tape this
on the side of your shirt, all right?
All right. You ever done an
interview like this before?
No. Noting this fancy.
Okay, well,
don't worry about it, you know,
don't worry about the camera.
Just we're having
a conversation, all right?
She's gonna ask you a few questions
and just, you know, be genuine.
Sure, okay, I think I can do that.
All right man, all set.
Today we're with Joe,
owner of the rental cabins
and ex park ranger.
We have a few questions about the woods,
if you don't mind.
I don't mind at all.
So you were
a park ranger for how long
in Rudwick Forest?
I was a ranger for about 10 years.
And you were
in charge of what exactly?
You know, keeping the park clean,
helping people with the trails,
but most importantly making sure
nobody did anything too dangerous.
Did you ever go
into the woods at night?
I tried not to but
sometimes I had no choice.
You tried not to?
Yeah, I mean, these woods
are very hard to navigate at night,
very easy to wander off the path,
easy to get lost.
We actually had a run in
with one of the locals last night.
Yeah, people around these woods
they tend to get spooked pretty easy,
but can you blame them?
So you never saw anything
in your 10 years of service?
I mean, I heard things,
I saw shadows that looked like people.
Very, very, very unsettling.
You know, certain times
there'd be no noise,
no wind, no nothing.
But the worst part,
the most unfortunate part
is the parents of these children.
They would just go off in
the woods and, you know...
And what?
The parents of these children
they would go in the woods
and they'd kill themselves.
I mean, I don't know if
it was out of the guilt
or if they wanted to
be with their children,
but so sad.
There's so much pain
and suffering out here.
- Did you ever see any...
- Bodies?
Yeah, sometimes I called
a few of them in.
That's why I'm no longer a park ranger,
it's much easier to just
manage the properties.
So what's your theory
about the high abduction
rates in the area?
I'm not sure.
And I don't know if I wanna know.
I mean, it's this cycle that
just keeps going and going.
There's no end.
When you were a park ranger,
did you ever take anyone out
with you, show them around?
Like a tour?
Yeah, yeah.
Can you take us?
I don't know, I mean,
it was kind of a long time ago,
I don't really do that anymore.
We're willing to pay you.
Um...
So this would be my daily hike.
I'd get out here nice and early,
just after the sun rises,
go out till about 4:00 or 5:00 p.m.
You know, right up
until it starts to get dark.
Well, it's pretty dark right now.
Well, I mean, I'm with you guys.
And the only other time
I'd be out here
is if I was working with
the police on something.
So did you work
with the police a lot?
Oh yeah. Do you know
how many abductions
there were out here?
I mean, when the police needed
someone to work with them,
I was that someone.
So, after all this time in the forest
and this much time in Rudwick,
you don't believe in the witch?
I only believe
in unfortunate circumstances.
This is as far as I'm going.
What? We paid you for
the whole eight hours, man.
Yeah, we can turn around
and finish this tour
on the way back.
What's further down this way?
That's where you go
if you never wanna be found.
I thought you said
you don't believe in the witch.
I don't, but I've seen
enough things to press my luck.
Now if you guys wanna
keep going down this path
that's fine by me,
but I'm heading back now.
I mean, we have to keep going.
This spot, this is our
best shot to investigate.
I know. It's why we came here, right?
Hey Joe?
- We're gonna keep going.
- Be careful.
Enjoy your night.
All right, come on.
I think we need to keep going,
Joe was definitely scared
of something out here.
Or maybe he wanna just tired
of walking with us.
- Hey, did you hear that.
- What?
No, what did you hear?
Yeah, uh, Stephen, hey, check it out.
What the fuck?
I think it's coming from over here.
I know you fucking got her!
Where is she?
I know you took her, where is she?
What did you to her?
- Ma'am, ma'am.
- Don't touch me!
What did you with my Amanda?
Where is she?
I know you fucking took her.
I know you fucking took her,
what did you to her?
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
- Amanda!
- Meredith.
Meredith, Meredith, are you okay?
- I'm fine, I'm fine.
- We're good, we're good.
I'm fine, she didn't hurt me.
Honey, you can't be out here.
I know, come on.
She lost her daughter in the woods
a couple weeks back.
She's still processing it.
What is she doing out here?
She's out here every night.
Okay wait, I'm sorry, who are you?
Someone who's looking
after this community.
Look, you can't be out here at night.
You guys know your way back?
- Follow me.
- Okay.
So you're a police officer?
I was, I'm retired.
How often does this
sort of thing happen here?
What, that I find parents
wandering around
in these woods?
- More often than I'd like.
- Jesus.
Oh sorry, we're filming
a documentary
about the Rudwick Forest.
Of course you are.
I'm guessing we're not the first.
Nope, and probably not the last either.
Look, you guys should really go home.
These woods are no place to be at night.
Damn, he would have made
a really good interview.
So we got back to the
place that we were staying
and we found this.
- Don't touch it.
- Why not?
We don't know
who left that.
Okay, the only clue is a note
that says, "Watch me."
Danny.
Danny!
Where is my baby?
- What is this?
- Where is my baby?
Danny!
Where are you?
Where is my baby?
Danny!
What is she doing?
- What is that?
- It's a mirror.
Just in the woods?
I don't know, she wants her baby.
Did she lose her kid too?
- Whoa.
- Danny.
My baby, let me go back.
Who would send this to us?
You can bring my baby back?
My God.
No, anything else, please.
Anything else.
I'll do anything else, I can't.
No, no no no.
I'll do it, I'll do it,
I promise I'll do it, I'll do it.
I'll do it!
Who is she talking to?
I can do it.
I can do it.
That will bring my baby back, right?
It will bring my baby back?
Oh, God, what is she doing?
Jesus.
It's a fucking snuff film?
Was that real?
Okay, somebody wanted us
to see that, right?
Who would want us to see this, Georgie?
She was talking to somebody.
In the mirror.
That lady was insane,
that was a crazy person.
Okay, well, we've gotta figure out
who put this on our door.
And how do we do that?
I know someone who can help.
You guys again?
Someone left this on our door.
Did you watch it?
Yeah. It's a fucking snuff film.
I know who sent it.
Come on in.
So you know who left this for us?
Yes.
But there's some things
you need to know about this place.
And what this forest does
to the people around it.
I was a cop for 16 years,
the last three
were right here in Rudwick.
Wait, did you work
on any abduction cases?
More like assisted.
And usually, depending on
the profile of the case,
- they'd bring in others.
- Others?
High-profile detectives. FBI.
These cases made the national wire.
And they thought we might
have a serial kidnapper
on our hands.
What did they find?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
You know, a lot of people
thought that this place,
because we never found
those missing kids,
they thought it might
have something to do
with our department.
Yeah, they thought we were
just a bunch of dumb rednecks.
So you worked hard
on these cases?
I gave it everything.
I gave it everything I had to give.
And you know what we found?
Nothing.
Not one of those missing kids.
No clue.
Not even a trail.
It's like those kids they just
vanished right into thin air.
So why did you quit?
You can only live with that
kind of pain and suffering
for so long.
It seemed like every day
there was a new case.
Another missing kid.
A mom and a dad looking
to you for answers
that you can't give them.
I just couldn't take it anymore.
I wanted to help these people.
But there's only
so much you can take.
I did my best.
I swear.
I did my best.
Who sent us this?
And why, what does it mean?
You wanna watch that?
Pretty fucking terrible.
No, I've seen it.
Too many times.
And I know who sent it.
Nelson Morgan.
His daughter went missing
in the woods a year ago,
almost to the day.
Is he still
looking for her?
He never stopped.
But lately he's gone down
a rabbit hole.
Same rabbit hole
the others go down.
And that is?
That a witch took his daughter.
Nelson is convinced
that not only did
a witch steal his child
but that he can summon this witch
and get his daughter back.
So what does
he want with us?
I don't know.
But I'm telling you this right now.
Morgan is unhinged.
And he is dangerous.
There is no telling
what he is capable of.
Are you sure this is it?
I mean, there's not
another Nelson Morgan
for like 50 miles,
so I guess this has to be it.
Are you sure
we should be doing this?
Reynolds told us to avoid this guy.
Okay, Nelson wanted us
to see that tape.
I need to know why.
Okay.
Looks like he's not home,
let's head back.
No, maybe he's sleeping or something.
Let me try again.
He's not here,
come on, let's go.
Okay, last time.
All right, I guess he's not home.
We'll just come back later, yeah.
What the fuck do you want?
Are you Nelson Morgan?
Get the fuck off my property.
I told you to get
the fuck off my property
and I'm not gonna tell you again!
You have the count of
three before I shoot.
- One, two, three!
- We have your tape!
- You have what?
- Your tape.
You left this on our
door, that was you, right?
You the guys filming,
making the documentary?
Yeah. That's us.
Shit.
Sorry, I...
I thought you guys would be
older, you're pretty young.
Come on in, sorry,
sorry for the rude,
that's why I don't get
many visitors nowadays.
Come on in.
Sorry, I don't get many visitors,
I gotta just clean it up.
Oh shit, um...
Woo.
Shotgun that.
You guys want anything?
No, we're okay man,
thank you, though.
We're just wondering
if we could ask you some
questions, that's all.
Yeah, sure.
All right, Nelson,
you're ready?
All right, we're just gonna
ask you a few questions
about the woods and your daughter.
Is that okay with you?
All right, would you please
state your name for the camera?
Hi, my name is Nelson Morgan.
I am 45 years of age and I
am of sound mind and body.
Okay, all right.
Can you please tell us
about that day?
The day that Casey went missing.
Start at the very beginning
if you could.
Casey loves hiking.
She loves the outdoors,
it's something that we
both have in common.
Since the divorce I don't
get to see her much anymore.
You went hiking the day
that Casey went missing?
Yeah, we started out early,
she wanted to do this big trail.
She'd been on this long trail
and I thought we could do it.
So we were hiking all day
and it was hot
and I am not in the best of shape.
I tried to keep up,
I did my best,
but I kinda lost track of time
and where we were
but she was having fun, so.
The sun, so it goes down
earlier this time of year
and I knew we needed to get back
because you don't wanna be
outside at night, that's when...
So you were in the woods
when it got dark?
Have you ever been out
in the woods at night
with Casey before?
Only near town, you know.
I mean, we don't go in
the woods deep at night.
You stay away.
All right, what happened next?
Well, once I figured out
how far we were,
I gathered up Casey and
we started to head back.
But the sun must have went down
'cause it got real dark real fast.
So I tried to get her
but she was running ahead of me.
She thought it was a game.
She thought we were playing a game.
It's okay,
take your time.
And um...
When did she go missing?
She was up ahead of me,
like just literally a few feet,
just a few feet ahead of me.
People say literally,
but I fucking mean, literally,
just a few feet ahead of me.
And then she was gone, poof.
Vanished.
My daughter was taken.
Taken from me, yeah.
What did you do when you
noticed she went missing?
I thought she was playing a game,
because she loves Hide and Go Seek,
it's her favorite game.
And so I wanted to get her back,
and then I couldn't find her nowhere,
so my adrenaline kicked in
and then I started to
canvas the entire area,
I figured there's no fucking
way she could be gone.
And then I figured maybe
she got hurt, maybe she'd fallen.
So I called out to her,
nothing, nothing.
Gone.
So...
And...
I'm sorry, I...
I had to make a choice,
I had to decide
whether to look for her
or whether to try
to go and find help.
- So you left her?
- Bo.
Ah.
You don't think that
there's a day that goes by,
not a fucking day,
where I don't regret
this whole fucking,
fucking, fucking thing?
I am nothing without my daughter,
all right?
I am useless!
Useless!
And there is only one fucking thing
that keeps me alive,
only one fucking reason
that I even go on.
And what's that?
The fact that I can get her back.
I know how to get her back.
How are you
gonna do that, Nelson?
I'm gonna show you.
Okay, Georgie, you're not
really seriously considering
going out in the woods
with that guy, right?
Yes, I am.
This guy is the perfect lead.
Yeah, but you heard
what Reynolds said.
And you saw that shit, man.
He's nuts.
We came out here
to make a documentary
and this is the perfect story,
why are you trying
to back out right now?
I'm not.
I just don't think this
is a good idea, okay?
Look around, Georgie.
This place, this town,
those woods out there.
That's the story.
We don't need this guy.
This isn't about making
something good, Bo.
This is about making
something great,
and we can do that here.
Don't you wanna be a part of that?
Okay.
So let's say we go out there, right?
In the middle of those
woods, at night, with him.
And we realize there's no witch,
all right, Georgie,
because there's no witch,
and we find out
that Nelson's responsible
for getting his daughter killed.
Like responsible.
What do you think
is gonna happen then, huh?
I don't want you...
I don't want us out there
when that happens.
We're gonna be fine.
This is an opportunity that
comes once in a lifetime.
Hey. Hey.
I need you to trust me
on this one.
Okay, I know how to find her,
I know how to get her
to come out.
Okay, slow down, Nelson,
what are you talking about?
The witch, all right?
I've been dealing with this
for the past six months.
I've talked to parents,
I've charted a pattern, okay?
All of these boys, Alex Barber,
Jimmy Heartfield, Brendan Wallace,
all taken in or around this area,
this is where she is,
this is even where I think
the VHS tape was filmed.
Okay, so, what's the game plan?
If we leave now,
I think I can get you
to the circle tonight.
Okay, but what if we
don't find anything, Nelson?
Well, then you can show
the world that I'm a fraud
and that I lost my daughter.
But I didn't lose my daughter,
I'm gonna show you
that she taken from me,
and she was taken from me here.
Stop.
We gotta camp here for the night.
Uh, no.
The plan was to go to the spot
in the map and then camp.
Well, it's further than I anticipated
and you're kind of moving too slow
with all your fucking gear.
So we're gonna just stay here,
awesome, okay.
That was not part
of the plan, Georgie.
Oh, guess what, plans change, all right?
We're gonna sleep here tonight
and then we'll go there tomorrow.
What do you want me
to do about it, okay?
Guys, we have two options, all right?
And no cellphone service,
so we can either hike all
the way back out there
by ourselves at night,
or we can stay here.
Dude.
Hey, Stephen, what are you doing?
Just trying to set up
this camera to
to see if we could capture anything.
In the middle of the night?
Well I'm going to set it up
with this big ass light
then when anything crosses
in front of it
it will flash and should
light up the entire forest
You're trying
to capture the witch?
Well if the witch is real,
then this should be able
to capture her.
Cool. Good job.
How come you get your own tent?
Because I'm directing
this documentary.
And Bo snores in his sleep, so.
- Have fun.
- Thanks.
So, we did not make it to the spot
that we intended to tonight,
so we're having to camp here.
It's not a part of the
plan, but that's okay.
We just have a real story here,
you know?
A story about grief and loss
and the lies we tell ourselves
to get through all of that.
Anyway.
Hopefully, my team can keep
it together long enough
for us to get the ending
that the story deserves,
so, we'll see.
Georgie, wake the fuck up.
What?
We think
someone's out here, come on.
What?
Georgie, oh, my God, come on.
Okay, okay, okay.
Would you stop?
What?
Listen, you hear that?
No, I don't--
Whoa, what the fuck is that?
Yeah, there's definitely
somebody out here.
What is that?
What?
All right, let me get Nelson up.
Nelson? Nelson?
Hey Nelson, wake up.
Nelson, get the fuck up, come on.
Okay. All right, fuck it.
- Nelson's gone.
- What?
What do you mean he's gone?
He's not in his fucking tent.
Oh, my God. He's fucking messing
with us, guys.
I told you he wants this witch
to be real so fucking bad.
Nelson! Come on, man.
This is really fucking annoying,
we all just wanna go back to sleep,
so come on back, you fucking psycho.
Nelson!
Okay yeah, actually
get back in the tents.
Yeah, get the fuck back in the tents.
I don't know.
Do you know where
that's coming from?
- We don't fucking know.
- Will you shut up, please?
Oh, fuck, whoa.
That's the camera.
Guys, I don't like this.
Guys, Georgie.
Jesus!
Stop! Stop!
Stephen.
Georgie, Georgie, what the fuck is that?
Fuck, man!
Be quiet.
She's here.
She's out here.
She's making herself known.
It's okay, it's okay.
Don't be scared, it's
all right, it's playing.
It's all part of my plan.
Come on out. Come on out.
What?
Nelson, what was that?
I told you, it's the witch.
What are you talking about, man?
You don't even believe me, do you?
You just think I'm so crazy fuck,
you just laugh at me, right?
- I'm funny, right?
- Yeah, no,
we don't believe you,
and yeah, we do think
you're a crazy fuck.
So what?
I just went and I did all this
on my own?
- What, made a bunch of
noises in the dark, Nelson?
Yeah, I'm sorry, no no, Georgie,
I'm fucking sick of this guy, okay?
If there was a witch, why
hasn't she shown herself yet?
She did show herself,
she gave us a sign.
The sign is to proceed
tomorrow night, okay?
She retreated to the woods
and she remains hidden.
Wow.
The only thing that remains hidden
is your daughter's dead body, big guy.
Hey! Hey!
You don't get to talk about her.
Ever.
No. Yep. I'm done, okay.
You guys wanna follow that
psycho into the woods,
by all means, Georgie.
I'm fucking leaving.
So, last night was not ideal.
Turns out Nelson's way more involved
in this than I thought.
But Bo was right,
this whole thing is some
sort of fucked up way
for him to rationalize the
abduction of his daughter.
There's no witch here.
Or at least not where we are.
Maybe we can go back
into town tomorrow and--
- Georgie, Georgie, get up.
- What?
- You have to look at this.
- What?
Just come here, please.
Okay, so, I came out here
to take a piss,
and Georgie, you gotta see this shit.
- What the hell?
- Wild, right?
- Don't touch that.
- Relax.
What are these?
Crazy MacPsycho must have
hung them up last night.
I swear this guy is more
fucked up than we thought.
No, I don't think
this was Nelson.
Well, then who
was it, Georgie? Stephen?
We were out here yesterday
and he didn't have a ladder
and he's not that agile.
You know what?
Believe what you want.
I'm still leaving tonight.
What the fuck?
Are you really just gonna leave?
Yes, Georgie.
Okay, look, I get it.
You wanna help this guy.
But look at the shit that's happened.
I don't trust him.
Okay, then trust me.
This guy is the perfect
lead and you know it.
- Georgie.
- Okay, just don't leave us.
I need you here.
- Do you, though?
- Yes.
Bo, we are a team, this is our thing.
You have Stephen.
Oh, my God, okay,
it's one more night, all right?
We'll do whatever Nelson needs to do
and then we'll hike back.
Hey, we can go at night if you want.
Bo, would you just stop and listen?
Would you listen to me?
You go out there and there's no witch
and he's out of his fucking tricks,
it's not gonna end well.
I am not abandoning
this story
when we are so close.
I'll do this whole damn thing
by myself if I have to.
The fucking story.
I'm glad nothing's changed, Georgie.
What's that supposed to mean?
Guys, you might
wanna come check this out.
Not now, Stephen.
No, I'm telling you,
you wanna see this.
You wanna see this now.
What is it, Stephen?
All right,
so you know the cameras
I set up yesterday?
Yeah, the motion detection ones?
I wanted to check
to see what set them off.
Why? We already know who it was.
Right, we think it was Nelson.
What do you see?
I don't see anything.
How about now?
What is that?
I don't know what the hell
that is but that's not Nelson.
I told you she was here.
Are you ready to finish this?
I can't believe we're
fucking doing this.
It's just one more night.
Georgie, that could have been
a shadow for all we know.
It was more than a shadow.
Oh yeah?
You're an expert on shadow people now?
If it was just a shadow you
wouldn't be here right now.
I'm here for you, Georgie.
Stephen, I need you to do
something for me, okay?
Anything happens out there, just...
Promise me you'll tell Georgie to run.
Just get her out of there.
Okay?
I need you, honey!
Don't leave me!
Don't leave your papa!
It's too dark out here, Casey.
Come on, baby.
Casey.
Casey.
Casey!
Casey, baby!
Casey, baby!
Come on, baby!
Casey!
This is it.
This is the spot.
All right guys,
if we were gonna back out,
I think now's the time.
We're here until
we finish this, Stephen.
Yeah, but we need
a backup plan,
like what if this dude
goes off the deep end?
Okay, just keep all
your shit close, okay?
Bags, everything.
Shit goes south, we book it, okay?
He can't outrun us, all right?
He barely got here.
Okay, so our plan is
to outrun him, then?
Yes, Stephen.
Unless you've got a better one.
Okay, what if he attacks us?
Stephen, for real?
- All right, I've got this.
- Jesus Christ, Bo.
What?
I mean, hopefully
we won't need it, but...
Okay, we're ready to begin.
Once we start this ritual,
we cannot stop until it's completed.
Do you understand?
- Do you understand?
- Yes.
We're gonna do something very dangerous,
we're gonna call
the witch out of the woods.
At that point,
I am going to make an exchange
to get my daughter back.
We will make a circle with salt.
As long as we are within
that circle, we are safe.
If at any point,
if at any point you go
outside that circle,
it won't end well for you.
The witch will try to get
you out of the circle.
You will hear things.
You will see things.
You must remain in the
circle at all times.
If you leave the circle...
bye.
And one final thing.
My word is bond.
You will listen to everything I say
and you will follow it to a tee.
There is no time for debate,
there is no time to question
my fucking judgment.
Because I am the authority.
And if you don't like it,
you can leave.
And I will create an infinite
ritual on my own.
Are we clear?
Are we clear?
Are we clear?
Yes.
Perfect.
Good, good. Good.
Let's begin.
It begins.
Are you ready?
- Whoa, okay.
- Hey, Nelson.
Whoa, what are you doing? Hey hey hey.
- Oh, my God.
- Jesus Christ.
What?
You agreed to do whatever it takes,
no questions asked.
This is part of the process.
Nelson, I'm not gonna do that.
This is part of the process.
Georgie. Hey hey hey.
No.
We said we'd do everything, right?
God, fuck me.
Fuck, okay.
All right, you're up.
God.
Everyone.
- Do I have to do this?
- Everyone.
How am I supposed
to hold the camera?
Okay, just give it to me,
I'll take it.
Fuck.
My God.
Good.
Now remember.
No matter what you do,
no matter what happens,
stay inside...
the circle.
We've done everything you've asked.
Give me back my Casey!
Give me back my daughter!
Give me back my daughter.
Now!
Okay, Georgie,
when are we gonna call this?
We can't just leave.
He's gonna go nuts if we
step outside the circle.
Okay, but he also told us
the witch was gonna be here
- like two hours ago.
- I know.
But I don't know what to do.
Just give him another hour, okay?
Fine.
But then we're leaving.
Okay.
Okay, I'll handle it.
- I'll start packing.
- All right.
Hey Nelson, we need to talk.
Just...
Okay, I can feel her.
She's coming.
Nothing is happening here.
My team is really tired,
we need to go home.
- No.
- Yeah.
No, 'cause she's not a fucking dog,
she doesn't come on command.
All right, it's been three hours
since you said she would
be here, all right?
I've pushed my team hard for
two days straight, all right?
Nothing's gonna happen and
you know that as well as I do.
Like we can step outside-
- Don't you step a foot!
- Oh, my God!
- Don't fuck touch me.
- Don't fucking touch her.
I need concentration for this.
Full fucking concentration.
Oh, fuck off.
There's nothing, nothing's
happening, it's bullshit, Nelson.
This is bullshit?
You think I could fucking
do this all of my own?
You are in fucking denial, man.
What happened to your daughter,
you are in denial.
Right? No?
Fine, fuck it, I'll say it to him.
I'm honestly sorry what happened
to your daughter, okay?
But maybe instead of making up
some bullshit excuse,
you take some fucking responsibility
for your actions.
You lost her in those woods,
you abandoned her in those woods.
You drag us all the way
the fuck out here
in these shitty woods
to find some fucking monster?
Well, guess what, Nelson.
- You're the monster.
- You're a piece of shit.
You are a fucking little piece of shit.
What are you gonna do, man?
- Fuck you!
- Stop it!
Oh, my God, guys, stop.
Get the fuck off of him!
Stephen, help me!
Guys, fucking stop, you're
gonna kill him, stop!
Guys. Guys!
Is this fucking happening?
This can't be fucking real.
She's here. She's here.
I've done everything you've asked.
- Georgie.
- Nelson, what's happening?
I have brought you the girl!
The girl?
- What the fuck?
- I have brought you a new sacrifice.
Take her and her friends
and just give me my daughter!
Take her, what the fuck
are you talking about, Nelson?
- Nelson?
- Give me my daughter,
I have done everything you've asked.
Take her!
- Nelson, what the fuck?
- Casey!
I'm trading you for her.
Take them!
Shit!
What the fuck just happened?
Stephen, what happened to the lights?
I don't know,
I don't know.
Well, get the flashlights,
where are the bags?
Guys, what happened?
Piece of shit.
Where the fuck is Nelson?
What's happening?
Where the fuck is Nelson, guys?
- Nelson?
- What happened?
Okay okay, hold on.
- Guys, seriously.
- Bo, where are you?
- What the fuck is going on?
- Where are you guys?
Stephen, the fucking light,
come on.
I can't.
Nelson, come on,
we gotta get out of here.
Nelson, please get up, we gotta go, okay?
Just, please, okay?
I know, it's okay, it's okay.
It's okay, it's okay.
I can't go without my Casey!
It's okay.
Nelson, we gotta get out of here,
you've gotta help us, come on.
- Nelson?
- Georgie, I can't.
Okay, okay,
let's go, please.
I know, I know, we're gonna go back,
it's gonna be okay.
Georgie, I can't.
I know, I know,
it's gonna be okay.
I'm so sorry, Nelson, okay?
- Georgie.
- Please, come on,
- we gotta go.
- Georgie, no.
- Please.
- I can't.
- We have to go.
- I can't.
We have to go.
Oh, my God, Nelson.
Nelson, please stop.
Georgie, I just can't.
Nelson. Nelson, put the gun down.
I know, I know.
I'm so, I'm so sorry.
- Nelson, come on.
- Georgie, no.
Nelson, come on,
it's gonna be okay.
- No.
- Yes, it's gonna be okay.
No, it's not gonna be okay!
I can't do it.
Georgie, I can't do it.
What do you mean,
"you can't do it"?
Put that gun down! Quit!
Georgie, I can't.
Nelson, please stop,
please stop,
please get that away from your head,
please stop.
Nelson, it's okay, put the gun down.
- I know, I know.
- I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- Please, Nelson.
- Georgie, I am so sorry.
Please don't do this,
please, Nelson, stop.
- Georgie, I'm sorry.
- Nelson, please stop, please.
Georgie.
It's okay, it's okay.
Come here. It's okay.
Come here. It's okay.
Stephen, please.
Oh shit, guys.
What? Where the fuck did he go?
Oh, my God.
Holy shit. Georgie.
Just wait, wait, wait.
- Georgie, run.
- Okay.
Fuck!
I think it's this way, come on!
Oh fuck.
- Georgie.
- Stephen.
Stephen, Stephen, come on,
we have to go,
- we have to go right now.
- Just hang on, hang on.
- Come on, no.
- I just need a second.
No, no, no,
we have to leave.
Okay, just give me the camera,
give me the camera.
Holy shit.
Georgie, just hold on.
I need a breather.
Stephen, we have to keep going.
I just need a second,
I just need a second.
Oh, my God, holy fucking shit, bro.
He's fucking dead, he's fucking gone.
Stephen. Stephen.
Stephen, where are you?
Oh, my God, Stephen.
- Stephen, hey.
- Oh, my God!
Stephen?
Stephen, where are you?
- Stephen.
- Oh, my God!
Stephen.
Oh, my God.
Oh, Stephen. Stephen, Stephen, hey.
Hey, I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.
Hey, what are you?
Stephen, Stephen, Stephen.
Oh, my God! Oh, my God!
- What happened?
- I can't fucking see.
Oh, my God,
oh, my God, fuck.
Faster, faster.
Okay, get out of here.
Get out of here.
Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay.
Okay.
No!
Okay, all right.
Okay.
Okay. My name is Georgie Anna Harris.
I came out here, we came
out to make a documentary
about the Rudwick Forest
and why people go missing.
The rumors and the witch.
Something is out here.
We followed Nelson Morgan.
And he shot himself but he didn't...
He survived.
And he attacked, he attacked Bo, and...
And my other colleague, Stephen,
was attacked,
and his eyes were...
I had to leave him.
And now I'm out here.
I'm out here, I'm hiding from...
I don't know what.
But it is out here with me.
It's almost sunrise.
I think if I can make it till morning
I think I'm gonna be okay.
Oh God, please.
Mom. Dad.
I love you.
I'm so, so sorry.
I know the way out, follow me.
No, no. Please no, please.
Are you coming?
Don't worry, I'm coming.
Watch your step,
it's flooded over here.
We just got set up.
I know it's late.
But we found some really
cool stuff on our hike.
Yes, she's been on the
GoPro the entire time.
You can review the
footage when we get home.
We've got a long hike tomorrow.
I'll keep you posted and
let you know when we leave.
Yeah, we miss you too.
We'll be home soon, okay?
I love you too. Bye.
Lizzie, I think it's time
to go to bed.
Oh, come on, can we just stay up
a little bit longer, please?
You know what? Sure.
But you have to promise
not to tell your dad
because I told him
- we were going to bed early.
- Deal.
- Like this?
- Yeah, now lay it flat.
All right, so this is gonna
pop up in the middle.
There we go.
Something, I think something
is out there.
I don't know what it is,
it sounds like footsteps.
Mom? Mom?
Hey.
Hey, what's wrong? What's wrong?
- There's someone out here.
- Where?
Outside my tent, I swear I heard.
Lizzie, okay.
It is 3:00 a.m.
We have to be up early.
There is no one here,
it's just us.
It was a person,
I heard them walking.
It was probably an animal,
there's a lot of them
out here, okay?
No, listen to me, it wasn't an animal,
I saw the shadow.
Okay, calm down, calm down.
Would it help you sleep
if I went out there
and show you that everything is fine?
There is no one out here
and there is nothing
to be afraid of, okay?
I'm gonna go out there
and I'm gonna show you
that we're safe.
Please be careful.
I will, baby, I will.
I'm gonna go check it out, okay?
Hello?
Hello? Is anyone here?
Hello?
There's no one out here.
You need to go back to-
- I heard it.
- Okay.
- In the back.
- I'll check over there.
Hello? Hello?
Is there anyone here at all?
Lizzie, it's time to go to bed,
all right?
I checked. There's no one here,
we're safe.
Lizzie, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Call 911, call 911!
Where did you find this?
One of our fans emailed it to us.
Is this real?
I mean, I don't know,
could be fake,
the quality is kind of shit, so.
What do you think?
I don't know, I could look into it
and see if it's real.
- What else did the email say?
- Nothing.
- No location or anything?
- No.
Can you find out where this is?
Yeah, I can figure it out,
as long as it's not fake.
Okay, we ready? All right.
So we're about to spend
our first day out
in the Rudwick Forest.
Never heard of Rudwick?
Well, neither did we.
Until we received a video
of two campers
who went missing a few months back.
And they weren't
the only ones to go missing.
Rudwick is known
for its unusually high number
of abduction cases,
specifically child abductions.
So what makes Rudwick so special?
Why is this unsolved mystery so unique?
It's not just one unsolved mystery,
it's hundreds.
The Rudwick Forest has
per square mile by far
the nation's highest abduction rate.
These abductions, they're cold cases,
like really cold.
Not one person who has been missing
for more than 48 hours
has ever been found.
So, we plan on retracing
the exact steps
of the most recent abductions.
And we're gonna find out
exactly what's happening
in this forest.
So how long have you
lived out here in Rudwick?
My whole life, I pretty
much grew up in the woods.
And what do you think about the rumor
that there's a witch out here?
- I believe it.
- A witch?
There ain't no witches here.
That's what she does.
She takes those kids, forces
them away from their parents,
takes them back deep into the woods.
I haven't seen her,
but I've heard things,
saw some shadows.
I don't like going out
there alone at night.
I don't wanna be taken
like the others.
A lot of jerks come
through these woods
and the border patrol,
they don't do shit.
I don't know,
and I don't wanna know.
Whatever happens out there in
these woods with those kids,
I don't wanna have anything
to do with it.
This town was once
a great place to live.
But tourism has been drying up.
Jobs have been drying up.
Drug and alcohol problems.
They get lost and of course
they have no survivor skills
and then you can't go three
days without clean water,
so, you know.
They see something that
they shouldn't have had
or they come across something
that they weren't supposed to
and then boom,
their body's at the bottom
of the lake somewhere.
Sometimes when life's too difficult
the forest offers you an escape.
And it's impossible
to find you, so.
Wait, are you saying that people
go into the forest to commit suicide?
Sometimes it's easier on your family
to think you got lost or abducted
than you took your own life.
James Murphy, aged seven,
was hiking with his family
a few months back.
It was late and the sun was setting.
James and his sister were
hiking ahead of their parents.
When the parents finally caught up,
only the sister remained.
When police questioned the sister
as to what happened to her brother,
she said that a woman in
black took young James' hand
and led him deep into the woods.
The police never found a body
and the case remains unsolved.
Right now we are in the area
where James was last seen.
Okay, Georgie,
we've been walking around forever,
what exactly are we looking for here?
This is the last place
he was seen alive, supposedly,
so I don't know,
just any remnants of him,
a sign that someone was here?
Come play with me.
Wait, did you hear that?
Come play with me,
come play with me.
Yeah, what is that?
Uh-oh.
I think it's over here.
Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa,
what the hell?
Come play with me,
come play with me.
Uh-oh.
Wait, Georgie.
Uh-oh, come play with me.
Oh, wow.
Come play with me.
Yeah, this is totally normal.
Are you sure you wanna be touching that?
Who the fuck are you?
Get off my land now!
Relax, relax man, relax.
We're cool, we're cool.
No, this is not fucking cool.
Whoa, okay, okay.
Fucking get off.
Just don't, stop pointing
the gun at him, man.
We're lost.
Turn around, go back the other way,
don't come back here.
- Okay, okay, we're going.
- Okay, you got it.
Please move the gun.
Fuck it. Goddamn trespassers.
Holy shit, guys.
That was fucking nuts.
Rudwick Forest my ass.
Hey Bo, can you shut up
and give him a second, please?
Hey Stephen, you good?
Yeah? Yeah?
Deep breaths,
you gotta breathe in and out.
That was a lot.
Yeah, you want some water?
Just way more intense
than I was expecting.
Yeah, I know.
I'm so sorry, dude.
I swear we were on the right trail.
I guess we wandered off,
this place is massive.
If it makes you
feel any better, man,
you took it like a champ.
Yeah, easy to say
from where you were standing.
- All right, let's go.
- Okay.
I think you're fine.
Hey, is our door open?
I swear I shut that door.
Did you lock it?
Yeah Georgie, I locked it.
Hello?
Hey, I think the power is out.
Can you guys get the lights
from the car?
Yeah. Stephen, go with her.
Hello?
Hey, is anybody here?
Hey, did you hear that?
Dude, there's nothing here.
I'm sorry, I was trying
to fix the light.
Let me get the power up and running.
All right, so, tomorrow afternoon?
- I'll be there.
- All right.
Guy's a retired park ranger,
so if anyone knows these woods,
it's gonna be him.
All right, so we have that interview
with the guy who owns
this place tomorrow.
His name is Joe, right?
- Okay.
- Yeah.
- Ex park ranger.
- Right.
Did he apologize earlier
for his damage?
Yeah, he said we thought
we were coming in tomorrow.
I don't know, it was
a whole thing, but fine.
And then while we're out there
we can get a bunch of B-roll
so I feel like we should be
all set, we're on track.
- For tomorrow?
- Yeah.
Okay guys, that's enough
work for the day.
What a first day.
Oh yeah, me almost getting shot,
that's a great first day.
I'm sorry about that again.
It's all good,
it'll be a cool story.
You just have
a very shootable face, Stephen.
What does that even mean?
Oh, my God, that guy was crazy.
As long as we don't go on
that trail again,
- I'll be cool.
- Deal.
He seemed a little unhinged.
Yeah. Well, we have Joe now.
He seems to know the area, so.
True.
Well, I think on that note,
I'm gonna head to bed
and start recharging everything.
- Okay. See you tomorrow?
- Yeah.
- See you guys.
- Bye.
So, Bo.
Do you believe in the witch?
Oh, man, you're asking me questions.
Yeah, it's interview time.
I don't know about a witch but
I think the people in this
town needed something to blame.
You know, made up or not.
Yeah.
I mean, like no bodies at all?
I feel like I'd start
to believe in anything
if I didn't have closure.
I don't think that's true.
What does that mean?
Do you remember that time that you
dragged me around the city
because you found
that missing dog poster?
Oh yeah, yeah.
Eight hours, no car.
Hey, we found the dog, so.
We did find the dog.
That's my point.
You don't give up.
Oh, and we went
to that awful dive bar after.
Oh, my God.
Those terrible drinks.
Oh, God, I was so hungover.
Yeah, that was the last time that we--
- Yup.
- Yeah.
I mean, it doesn't have
to be the last time.
I think someone's a little tipsy.
Just for fun, you know?
It doesn't have to be a big deal.
What?
I think we've got a long day
ahead of us tomorrow.
Stephen's gonna be mad you're messing
with his camera.
All right, Joe,
I'm just gonna tape this
on the side of your shirt, all right?
All right. You ever done an
interview like this before?
No. Noting this fancy.
Okay, well,
don't worry about it, you know,
don't worry about the camera.
Just we're having
a conversation, all right?
She's gonna ask you a few questions
and just, you know, be genuine.
Sure, okay, I think I can do that.
All right man, all set.
Today we're with Joe,
owner of the rental cabins
and ex park ranger.
We have a few questions about the woods,
if you don't mind.
I don't mind at all.
So you were
a park ranger for how long
in Rudwick Forest?
I was a ranger for about 10 years.
And you were
in charge of what exactly?
You know, keeping the park clean,
helping people with the trails,
but most importantly making sure
nobody did anything too dangerous.
Did you ever go
into the woods at night?
I tried not to but
sometimes I had no choice.
You tried not to?
Yeah, I mean, these woods
are very hard to navigate at night,
very easy to wander off the path,
easy to get lost.
We actually had a run in
with one of the locals last night.
Yeah, people around these woods
they tend to get spooked pretty easy,
but can you blame them?
So you never saw anything
in your 10 years of service?
I mean, I heard things,
I saw shadows that looked like people.
Very, very, very unsettling.
You know, certain times
there'd be no noise,
no wind, no nothing.
But the worst part,
the most unfortunate part
is the parents of these children.
They would just go off in
the woods and, you know...
And what?
The parents of these children
they would go in the woods
and they'd kill themselves.
I mean, I don't know if
it was out of the guilt
or if they wanted to
be with their children,
but so sad.
There's so much pain
and suffering out here.
- Did you ever see any...
- Bodies?
Yeah, sometimes I called
a few of them in.
That's why I'm no longer a park ranger,
it's much easier to just
manage the properties.
So what's your theory
about the high abduction
rates in the area?
I'm not sure.
And I don't know if I wanna know.
I mean, it's this cycle that
just keeps going and going.
There's no end.
When you were a park ranger,
did you ever take anyone out
with you, show them around?
Like a tour?
Yeah, yeah.
Can you take us?
I don't know, I mean,
it was kind of a long time ago,
I don't really do that anymore.
We're willing to pay you.
Um...
So this would be my daily hike.
I'd get out here nice and early,
just after the sun rises,
go out till about 4:00 or 5:00 p.m.
You know, right up
until it starts to get dark.
Well, it's pretty dark right now.
Well, I mean, I'm with you guys.
And the only other time
I'd be out here
is if I was working with
the police on something.
So did you work
with the police a lot?
Oh yeah. Do you know
how many abductions
there were out here?
I mean, when the police needed
someone to work with them,
I was that someone.
So, after all this time in the forest
and this much time in Rudwick,
you don't believe in the witch?
I only believe
in unfortunate circumstances.
This is as far as I'm going.
What? We paid you for
the whole eight hours, man.
Yeah, we can turn around
and finish this tour
on the way back.
What's further down this way?
That's where you go
if you never wanna be found.
I thought you said
you don't believe in the witch.
I don't, but I've seen
enough things to press my luck.
Now if you guys wanna
keep going down this path
that's fine by me,
but I'm heading back now.
I mean, we have to keep going.
This spot, this is our
best shot to investigate.
I know. It's why we came here, right?
Hey Joe?
- We're gonna keep going.
- Be careful.
Enjoy your night.
All right, come on.
I think we need to keep going,
Joe was definitely scared
of something out here.
Or maybe he wanna just tired
of walking with us.
- Hey, did you hear that.
- What?
No, what did you hear?
Yeah, uh, Stephen, hey, check it out.
What the fuck?
I think it's coming from over here.
I know you fucking got her!
Where is she?
I know you took her, where is she?
What did you to her?
- Ma'am, ma'am.
- Don't touch me!
What did you with my Amanda?
Where is she?
I know you fucking took her.
I know you fucking took her,
what did you to her?
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
- Amanda!
- Meredith.
Meredith, Meredith, are you okay?
- I'm fine, I'm fine.
- We're good, we're good.
I'm fine, she didn't hurt me.
Honey, you can't be out here.
I know, come on.
She lost her daughter in the woods
a couple weeks back.
She's still processing it.
What is she doing out here?
She's out here every night.
Okay wait, I'm sorry, who are you?
Someone who's looking
after this community.
Look, you can't be out here at night.
You guys know your way back?
- Follow me.
- Okay.
So you're a police officer?
I was, I'm retired.
How often does this
sort of thing happen here?
What, that I find parents
wandering around
in these woods?
- More often than I'd like.
- Jesus.
Oh sorry, we're filming
a documentary
about the Rudwick Forest.
Of course you are.
I'm guessing we're not the first.
Nope, and probably not the last either.
Look, you guys should really go home.
These woods are no place to be at night.
Damn, he would have made
a really good interview.
So we got back to the
place that we were staying
and we found this.
- Don't touch it.
- Why not?
We don't know
who left that.
Okay, the only clue is a note
that says, "Watch me."
Danny.
Danny!
Where is my baby?
- What is this?
- Where is my baby?
Danny!
Where are you?
Where is my baby?
Danny!
What is she doing?
- What is that?
- It's a mirror.
Just in the woods?
I don't know, she wants her baby.
Did she lose her kid too?
- Whoa.
- Danny.
My baby, let me go back.
Who would send this to us?
You can bring my baby back?
My God.
No, anything else, please.
Anything else.
I'll do anything else, I can't.
No, no no no.
I'll do it, I'll do it,
I promise I'll do it, I'll do it.
I'll do it!
Who is she talking to?
I can do it.
I can do it.
That will bring my baby back, right?
It will bring my baby back?
Oh, God, what is she doing?
Jesus.
It's a fucking snuff film?
Was that real?
Okay, somebody wanted us
to see that, right?
Who would want us to see this, Georgie?
She was talking to somebody.
In the mirror.
That lady was insane,
that was a crazy person.
Okay, well, we've gotta figure out
who put this on our door.
And how do we do that?
I know someone who can help.
You guys again?
Someone left this on our door.
Did you watch it?
Yeah. It's a fucking snuff film.
I know who sent it.
Come on in.
So you know who left this for us?
Yes.
But there's some things
you need to know about this place.
And what this forest does
to the people around it.
I was a cop for 16 years,
the last three
were right here in Rudwick.
Wait, did you work
on any abduction cases?
More like assisted.
And usually, depending on
the profile of the case,
- they'd bring in others.
- Others?
High-profile detectives. FBI.
These cases made the national wire.
And they thought we might
have a serial kidnapper
on our hands.
What did they find?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
You know, a lot of people
thought that this place,
because we never found
those missing kids,
they thought it might
have something to do
with our department.
Yeah, they thought we were
just a bunch of dumb rednecks.
So you worked hard
on these cases?
I gave it everything.
I gave it everything I had to give.
And you know what we found?
Nothing.
Not one of those missing kids.
No clue.
Not even a trail.
It's like those kids they just
vanished right into thin air.
So why did you quit?
You can only live with that
kind of pain and suffering
for so long.
It seemed like every day
there was a new case.
Another missing kid.
A mom and a dad looking
to you for answers
that you can't give them.
I just couldn't take it anymore.
I wanted to help these people.
But there's only
so much you can take.
I did my best.
I swear.
I did my best.
Who sent us this?
And why, what does it mean?
You wanna watch that?
Pretty fucking terrible.
No, I've seen it.
Too many times.
And I know who sent it.
Nelson Morgan.
His daughter went missing
in the woods a year ago,
almost to the day.
Is he still
looking for her?
He never stopped.
But lately he's gone down
a rabbit hole.
Same rabbit hole
the others go down.
And that is?
That a witch took his daughter.
Nelson is convinced
that not only did
a witch steal his child
but that he can summon this witch
and get his daughter back.
So what does
he want with us?
I don't know.
But I'm telling you this right now.
Morgan is unhinged.
And he is dangerous.
There is no telling
what he is capable of.
Are you sure this is it?
I mean, there's not
another Nelson Morgan
for like 50 miles,
so I guess this has to be it.
Are you sure
we should be doing this?
Reynolds told us to avoid this guy.
Okay, Nelson wanted us
to see that tape.
I need to know why.
Okay.
Looks like he's not home,
let's head back.
No, maybe he's sleeping or something.
Let me try again.
He's not here,
come on, let's go.
Okay, last time.
All right, I guess he's not home.
We'll just come back later, yeah.
What the fuck do you want?
Are you Nelson Morgan?
Get the fuck off my property.
I told you to get
the fuck off my property
and I'm not gonna tell you again!
You have the count of
three before I shoot.
- One, two, three!
- We have your tape!
- You have what?
- Your tape.
You left this on our
door, that was you, right?
You the guys filming,
making the documentary?
Yeah. That's us.
Shit.
Sorry, I...
I thought you guys would be
older, you're pretty young.
Come on in, sorry,
sorry for the rude,
that's why I don't get
many visitors nowadays.
Come on in.
Sorry, I don't get many visitors,
I gotta just clean it up.
Oh shit, um...
Woo.
Shotgun that.
You guys want anything?
No, we're okay man,
thank you, though.
We're just wondering
if we could ask you some
questions, that's all.
Yeah, sure.
All right, Nelson,
you're ready?
All right, we're just gonna
ask you a few questions
about the woods and your daughter.
Is that okay with you?
All right, would you please
state your name for the camera?
Hi, my name is Nelson Morgan.
I am 45 years of age and I
am of sound mind and body.
Okay, all right.
Can you please tell us
about that day?
The day that Casey went missing.
Start at the very beginning
if you could.
Casey loves hiking.
She loves the outdoors,
it's something that we
both have in common.
Since the divorce I don't
get to see her much anymore.
You went hiking the day
that Casey went missing?
Yeah, we started out early,
she wanted to do this big trail.
She'd been on this long trail
and I thought we could do it.
So we were hiking all day
and it was hot
and I am not in the best of shape.
I tried to keep up,
I did my best,
but I kinda lost track of time
and where we were
but she was having fun, so.
The sun, so it goes down
earlier this time of year
and I knew we needed to get back
because you don't wanna be
outside at night, that's when...
So you were in the woods
when it got dark?
Have you ever been out
in the woods at night
with Casey before?
Only near town, you know.
I mean, we don't go in
the woods deep at night.
You stay away.
All right, what happened next?
Well, once I figured out
how far we were,
I gathered up Casey and
we started to head back.
But the sun must have went down
'cause it got real dark real fast.
So I tried to get her
but she was running ahead of me.
She thought it was a game.
She thought we were playing a game.
It's okay,
take your time.
And um...
When did she go missing?
She was up ahead of me,
like just literally a few feet,
just a few feet ahead of me.
People say literally,
but I fucking mean, literally,
just a few feet ahead of me.
And then she was gone, poof.
Vanished.
My daughter was taken.
Taken from me, yeah.
What did you do when you
noticed she went missing?
I thought she was playing a game,
because she loves Hide and Go Seek,
it's her favorite game.
And so I wanted to get her back,
and then I couldn't find her nowhere,
so my adrenaline kicked in
and then I started to
canvas the entire area,
I figured there's no fucking
way she could be gone.
And then I figured maybe
she got hurt, maybe she'd fallen.
So I called out to her,
nothing, nothing.
Gone.
So...
And...
I'm sorry, I...
I had to make a choice,
I had to decide
whether to look for her
or whether to try
to go and find help.
- So you left her?
- Bo.
Ah.
You don't think that
there's a day that goes by,
not a fucking day,
where I don't regret
this whole fucking,
fucking, fucking thing?
I am nothing without my daughter,
all right?
I am useless!
Useless!
And there is only one fucking thing
that keeps me alive,
only one fucking reason
that I even go on.
And what's that?
The fact that I can get her back.
I know how to get her back.
How are you
gonna do that, Nelson?
I'm gonna show you.
Okay, Georgie, you're not
really seriously considering
going out in the woods
with that guy, right?
Yes, I am.
This guy is the perfect lead.
Yeah, but you heard
what Reynolds said.
And you saw that shit, man.
He's nuts.
We came out here
to make a documentary
and this is the perfect story,
why are you trying
to back out right now?
I'm not.
I just don't think this
is a good idea, okay?
Look around, Georgie.
This place, this town,
those woods out there.
That's the story.
We don't need this guy.
This isn't about making
something good, Bo.
This is about making
something great,
and we can do that here.
Don't you wanna be a part of that?
Okay.
So let's say we go out there, right?
In the middle of those
woods, at night, with him.
And we realize there's no witch,
all right, Georgie,
because there's no witch,
and we find out
that Nelson's responsible
for getting his daughter killed.
Like responsible.
What do you think
is gonna happen then, huh?
I don't want you...
I don't want us out there
when that happens.
We're gonna be fine.
This is an opportunity that
comes once in a lifetime.
Hey. Hey.
I need you to trust me
on this one.
Okay, I know how to find her,
I know how to get her
to come out.
Okay, slow down, Nelson,
what are you talking about?
The witch, all right?
I've been dealing with this
for the past six months.
I've talked to parents,
I've charted a pattern, okay?
All of these boys, Alex Barber,
Jimmy Heartfield, Brendan Wallace,
all taken in or around this area,
this is where she is,
this is even where I think
the VHS tape was filmed.
Okay, so, what's the game plan?
If we leave now,
I think I can get you
to the circle tonight.
Okay, but what if we
don't find anything, Nelson?
Well, then you can show
the world that I'm a fraud
and that I lost my daughter.
But I didn't lose my daughter,
I'm gonna show you
that she taken from me,
and she was taken from me here.
Stop.
We gotta camp here for the night.
Uh, no.
The plan was to go to the spot
in the map and then camp.
Well, it's further than I anticipated
and you're kind of moving too slow
with all your fucking gear.
So we're gonna just stay here,
awesome, okay.
That was not part
of the plan, Georgie.
Oh, guess what, plans change, all right?
We're gonna sleep here tonight
and then we'll go there tomorrow.
What do you want me
to do about it, okay?
Guys, we have two options, all right?
And no cellphone service,
so we can either hike all
the way back out there
by ourselves at night,
or we can stay here.
Dude.
Hey, Stephen, what are you doing?
Just trying to set up
this camera to
to see if we could capture anything.
In the middle of the night?
Well I'm going to set it up
with this big ass light
then when anything crosses
in front of it
it will flash and should
light up the entire forest
You're trying
to capture the witch?
Well if the witch is real,
then this should be able
to capture her.
Cool. Good job.
How come you get your own tent?
Because I'm directing
this documentary.
And Bo snores in his sleep, so.
- Have fun.
- Thanks.
So, we did not make it to the spot
that we intended to tonight,
so we're having to camp here.
It's not a part of the
plan, but that's okay.
We just have a real story here,
you know?
A story about grief and loss
and the lies we tell ourselves
to get through all of that.
Anyway.
Hopefully, my team can keep
it together long enough
for us to get the ending
that the story deserves,
so, we'll see.
Georgie, wake the fuck up.
What?
We think
someone's out here, come on.
What?
Georgie, oh, my God, come on.
Okay, okay, okay.
Would you stop?
What?
Listen, you hear that?
No, I don't--
Whoa, what the fuck is that?
Yeah, there's definitely
somebody out here.
What is that?
What?
All right, let me get Nelson up.
Nelson? Nelson?
Hey Nelson, wake up.
Nelson, get the fuck up, come on.
Okay. All right, fuck it.
- Nelson's gone.
- What?
What do you mean he's gone?
He's not in his fucking tent.
Oh, my God. He's fucking messing
with us, guys.
I told you he wants this witch
to be real so fucking bad.
Nelson! Come on, man.
This is really fucking annoying,
we all just wanna go back to sleep,
so come on back, you fucking psycho.
Nelson!
Okay yeah, actually
get back in the tents.
Yeah, get the fuck back in the tents.
I don't know.
Do you know where
that's coming from?
- We don't fucking know.
- Will you shut up, please?
Oh, fuck, whoa.
That's the camera.
Guys, I don't like this.
Guys, Georgie.
Jesus!
Stop! Stop!
Stephen.
Georgie, Georgie, what the fuck is that?
Fuck, man!
Be quiet.
She's here.
She's out here.
She's making herself known.
It's okay, it's okay.
Don't be scared, it's
all right, it's playing.
It's all part of my plan.
Come on out. Come on out.
What?
Nelson, what was that?
I told you, it's the witch.
What are you talking about, man?
You don't even believe me, do you?
You just think I'm so crazy fuck,
you just laugh at me, right?
- I'm funny, right?
- Yeah, no,
we don't believe you,
and yeah, we do think
you're a crazy fuck.
So what?
I just went and I did all this
on my own?
- What, made a bunch of
noises in the dark, Nelson?
Yeah, I'm sorry, no no, Georgie,
I'm fucking sick of this guy, okay?
If there was a witch, why
hasn't she shown herself yet?
She did show herself,
she gave us a sign.
The sign is to proceed
tomorrow night, okay?
She retreated to the woods
and she remains hidden.
Wow.
The only thing that remains hidden
is your daughter's dead body, big guy.
Hey! Hey!
You don't get to talk about her.
Ever.
No. Yep. I'm done, okay.
You guys wanna follow that
psycho into the woods,
by all means, Georgie.
I'm fucking leaving.
So, last night was not ideal.
Turns out Nelson's way more involved
in this than I thought.
But Bo was right,
this whole thing is some
sort of fucked up way
for him to rationalize the
abduction of his daughter.
There's no witch here.
Or at least not where we are.
Maybe we can go back
into town tomorrow and--
- Georgie, Georgie, get up.
- What?
- You have to look at this.
- What?
Just come here, please.
Okay, so, I came out here
to take a piss,
and Georgie, you gotta see this shit.
- What the hell?
- Wild, right?
- Don't touch that.
- Relax.
What are these?
Crazy MacPsycho must have
hung them up last night.
I swear this guy is more
fucked up than we thought.
No, I don't think
this was Nelson.
Well, then who
was it, Georgie? Stephen?
We were out here yesterday
and he didn't have a ladder
and he's not that agile.
You know what?
Believe what you want.
I'm still leaving tonight.
What the fuck?
Are you really just gonna leave?
Yes, Georgie.
Okay, look, I get it.
You wanna help this guy.
But look at the shit that's happened.
I don't trust him.
Okay, then trust me.
This guy is the perfect
lead and you know it.
- Georgie.
- Okay, just don't leave us.
I need you here.
- Do you, though?
- Yes.
Bo, we are a team, this is our thing.
You have Stephen.
Oh, my God, okay,
it's one more night, all right?
We'll do whatever Nelson needs to do
and then we'll hike back.
Hey, we can go at night if you want.
Bo, would you just stop and listen?
Would you listen to me?
You go out there and there's no witch
and he's out of his fucking tricks,
it's not gonna end well.
I am not abandoning
this story
when we are so close.
I'll do this whole damn thing
by myself if I have to.
The fucking story.
I'm glad nothing's changed, Georgie.
What's that supposed to mean?
Guys, you might
wanna come check this out.
Not now, Stephen.
No, I'm telling you,
you wanna see this.
You wanna see this now.
What is it, Stephen?
All right,
so you know the cameras
I set up yesterday?
Yeah, the motion detection ones?
I wanted to check
to see what set them off.
Why? We already know who it was.
Right, we think it was Nelson.
What do you see?
I don't see anything.
How about now?
What is that?
I don't know what the hell
that is but that's not Nelson.
I told you she was here.
Are you ready to finish this?
I can't believe we're
fucking doing this.
It's just one more night.
Georgie, that could have been
a shadow for all we know.
It was more than a shadow.
Oh yeah?
You're an expert on shadow people now?
If it was just a shadow you
wouldn't be here right now.
I'm here for you, Georgie.
Stephen, I need you to do
something for me, okay?
Anything happens out there, just...
Promise me you'll tell Georgie to run.
Just get her out of there.
Okay?
I need you, honey!
Don't leave me!
Don't leave your papa!
It's too dark out here, Casey.
Come on, baby.
Casey.
Casey.
Casey!
Casey, baby!
Casey, baby!
Come on, baby!
Casey!
This is it.
This is the spot.
All right guys,
if we were gonna back out,
I think now's the time.
We're here until
we finish this, Stephen.
Yeah, but we need
a backup plan,
like what if this dude
goes off the deep end?
Okay, just keep all
your shit close, okay?
Bags, everything.
Shit goes south, we book it, okay?
He can't outrun us, all right?
He barely got here.
Okay, so our plan is
to outrun him, then?
Yes, Stephen.
Unless you've got a better one.
Okay, what if he attacks us?
Stephen, for real?
- All right, I've got this.
- Jesus Christ, Bo.
What?
I mean, hopefully
we won't need it, but...
Okay, we're ready to begin.
Once we start this ritual,
we cannot stop until it's completed.
Do you understand?
- Do you understand?
- Yes.
We're gonna do something very dangerous,
we're gonna call
the witch out of the woods.
At that point,
I am going to make an exchange
to get my daughter back.
We will make a circle with salt.
As long as we are within
that circle, we are safe.
If at any point,
if at any point you go
outside that circle,
it won't end well for you.
The witch will try to get
you out of the circle.
You will hear things.
You will see things.
You must remain in the
circle at all times.
If you leave the circle...
bye.
And one final thing.
My word is bond.
You will listen to everything I say
and you will follow it to a tee.
There is no time for debate,
there is no time to question
my fucking judgment.
Because I am the authority.
And if you don't like it,
you can leave.
And I will create an infinite
ritual on my own.
Are we clear?
Are we clear?
Are we clear?
Yes.
Perfect.
Good, good. Good.
Let's begin.
It begins.
Are you ready?
- Whoa, okay.
- Hey, Nelson.
Whoa, what are you doing? Hey hey hey.
- Oh, my God.
- Jesus Christ.
What?
You agreed to do whatever it takes,
no questions asked.
This is part of the process.
Nelson, I'm not gonna do that.
This is part of the process.
Georgie. Hey hey hey.
No.
We said we'd do everything, right?
God, fuck me.
Fuck, okay.
All right, you're up.
God.
Everyone.
- Do I have to do this?
- Everyone.
How am I supposed
to hold the camera?
Okay, just give it to me,
I'll take it.
Fuck.
My God.
Good.
Now remember.
No matter what you do,
no matter what happens,
stay inside...
the circle.
We've done everything you've asked.
Give me back my Casey!
Give me back my daughter!
Give me back my daughter.
Now!
Okay, Georgie,
when are we gonna call this?
We can't just leave.
He's gonna go nuts if we
step outside the circle.
Okay, but he also told us
the witch was gonna be here
- like two hours ago.
- I know.
But I don't know what to do.
Just give him another hour, okay?
Fine.
But then we're leaving.
Okay.
Okay, I'll handle it.
- I'll start packing.
- All right.
Hey Nelson, we need to talk.
Just...
Okay, I can feel her.
She's coming.
Nothing is happening here.
My team is really tired,
we need to go home.
- No.
- Yeah.
No, 'cause she's not a fucking dog,
she doesn't come on command.
All right, it's been three hours
since you said she would
be here, all right?
I've pushed my team hard for
two days straight, all right?
Nothing's gonna happen and
you know that as well as I do.
Like we can step outside-
- Don't you step a foot!
- Oh, my God!
- Don't fuck touch me.
- Don't fucking touch her.
I need concentration for this.
Full fucking concentration.
Oh, fuck off.
There's nothing, nothing's
happening, it's bullshit, Nelson.
This is bullshit?
You think I could fucking
do this all of my own?
You are in fucking denial, man.
What happened to your daughter,
you are in denial.
Right? No?
Fine, fuck it, I'll say it to him.
I'm honestly sorry what happened
to your daughter, okay?
But maybe instead of making up
some bullshit excuse,
you take some fucking responsibility
for your actions.
You lost her in those woods,
you abandoned her in those woods.
You drag us all the way
the fuck out here
in these shitty woods
to find some fucking monster?
Well, guess what, Nelson.
- You're the monster.
- You're a piece of shit.
You are a fucking little piece of shit.
What are you gonna do, man?
- Fuck you!
- Stop it!
Oh, my God, guys, stop.
Get the fuck off of him!
Stephen, help me!
Guys, fucking stop, you're
gonna kill him, stop!
Guys. Guys!
Is this fucking happening?
This can't be fucking real.
She's here. She's here.
I've done everything you've asked.
- Georgie.
- Nelson, what's happening?
I have brought you the girl!
The girl?
- What the fuck?
- I have brought you a new sacrifice.
Take her and her friends
and just give me my daughter!
Take her, what the fuck
are you talking about, Nelson?
- Nelson?
- Give me my daughter,
I have done everything you've asked.
Take her!
- Nelson, what the fuck?
- Casey!
I'm trading you for her.
Take them!
Shit!
What the fuck just happened?
Stephen, what happened to the lights?
I don't know,
I don't know.
Well, get the flashlights,
where are the bags?
Guys, what happened?
Piece of shit.
Where the fuck is Nelson?
What's happening?
Where the fuck is Nelson, guys?
- Nelson?
- What happened?
Okay okay, hold on.
- Guys, seriously.
- Bo, where are you?
- What the fuck is going on?
- Where are you guys?
Stephen, the fucking light,
come on.
I can't.
Nelson, come on,
we gotta get out of here.
Nelson, please get up, we gotta go, okay?
Just, please, okay?
I know, it's okay, it's okay.
It's okay, it's okay.
I can't go without my Casey!
It's okay.
Nelson, we gotta get out of here,
you've gotta help us, come on.
- Nelson?
- Georgie, I can't.
Okay, okay,
let's go, please.
I know, I know, we're gonna go back,
it's gonna be okay.
Georgie, I can't.
I know, I know,
it's gonna be okay.
I'm so sorry, Nelson, okay?
- Georgie.
- Please, come on,
- we gotta go.
- Georgie, no.
- Please.
- I can't.
- We have to go.
- I can't.
We have to go.
Oh, my God, Nelson.
Nelson, please stop.
Georgie, I just can't.
Nelson. Nelson, put the gun down.
I know, I know.
I'm so, I'm so sorry.
- Nelson, come on.
- Georgie, no.
Nelson, come on,
it's gonna be okay.
- No.
- Yes, it's gonna be okay.
No, it's not gonna be okay!
I can't do it.
Georgie, I can't do it.
What do you mean,
"you can't do it"?
Put that gun down! Quit!
Georgie, I can't.
Nelson, please stop,
please stop,
please get that away from your head,
please stop.
Nelson, it's okay, put the gun down.
- I know, I know.
- I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- Please, Nelson.
- Georgie, I am so sorry.
Please don't do this,
please, Nelson, stop.
- Georgie, I'm sorry.
- Nelson, please stop, please.
Georgie.
It's okay, it's okay.
Come here. It's okay.
Come here. It's okay.
Stephen, please.
Oh shit, guys.
What? Where the fuck did he go?
Oh, my God.
Holy shit. Georgie.
Just wait, wait, wait.
- Georgie, run.
- Okay.
Fuck!
I think it's this way, come on!
Oh fuck.
- Georgie.
- Stephen.
Stephen, Stephen, come on,
we have to go,
- we have to go right now.
- Just hang on, hang on.
- Come on, no.
- I just need a second.
No, no, no,
we have to leave.
Okay, just give me the camera,
give me the camera.
Holy shit.
Georgie, just hold on.
I need a breather.
Stephen, we have to keep going.
I just need a second,
I just need a second.
Oh, my God, holy fucking shit, bro.
He's fucking dead, he's fucking gone.
Stephen. Stephen.
Stephen, where are you?
Oh, my God, Stephen.
- Stephen, hey.
- Oh, my God!
Stephen?
Stephen, where are you?
- Stephen.
- Oh, my God!
Stephen.
Oh, my God.
Oh, Stephen. Stephen, Stephen, hey.
Hey, I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.
Hey, what are you?
Stephen, Stephen, Stephen.
Oh, my God! Oh, my God!
- What happened?
- I can't fucking see.
Oh, my God,
oh, my God, fuck.
Faster, faster.
Okay, get out of here.
Get out of here.
Okay. Okay.
Okay. Okay.
Okay.
No!
Okay, all right.
Okay.
Okay. My name is Georgie Anna Harris.
I came out here, we came
out to make a documentary
about the Rudwick Forest
and why people go missing.
The rumors and the witch.
Something is out here.
We followed Nelson Morgan.
And he shot himself but he didn't...
He survived.
And he attacked, he attacked Bo, and...
And my other colleague, Stephen,
was attacked,
and his eyes were...
I had to leave him.
And now I'm out here.
I'm out here, I'm hiding from...
I don't know what.
But it is out here with me.
It's almost sunrise.
I think if I can make it till morning
I think I'm gonna be okay.
Oh God, please.
Mom. Dad.
I love you.
I'm so, so sorry.
I know the way out, follow me.
No, no. Please no, please.
