has been in our system

He came to us when he was young.
He suffers from multiple
problems,
including nightmares

Something in his psyche
must be discovered soon,
and the answer is there
for all of us to find out.

we were unsure
what his medical condition was.
He was later diagnosed
with paranoid delusional
thought,
learning difficulties,
and schizophrenia.
The medication that he
has been administered
must be maintained at all times.
Otherwise, he'll have a
tendency to be violent.

[Norman breathing heavily]

Norman, it's Johnny.
Your support worker for today.
- Where's Julie?
- Julie's on holiday.
Remember?
She explained I'd be here today.
I have your favorite ice cream,
and everything else on the list.
- You better come in then.
- [Johnny] Thank you.
[door clicks]
[faucet water sloshing]
Cup of tea to start, I think.
Would you like to help?
- I've had breakfast.
- Are you expecting
someone else?
- That's Hugo's.
[Johnny chuckles]
- Who's Hugo?
- My friend.
- [Johnny] And, where is he?
- Around.
- Hmm.
[footsteps tapping]
[leaves rustling]
[Norman sighs]
Well done, you.
Now, would you mind
doing the washing up?
I'm sure you'll do great.
And, can I just use
your bathroom?
- It's upstairs.
- [Johnny] Thank you.

- Johnny?
- [Hugo] You know he's
in your room, don't you?
He's no support worker.
- [Norman] Who is he then?
- [Hugo] He's here for me.
- But no one knows you are here.
- [Hugo] Go and get him.
- Johnny?
- Oh, sorry.
Sorry, Norman, coming.
[footsteps tapping]
Sorry, Norman.
[shrill music]
Now that is a work of art.
- No, please, he doesn't
like to be held.
- Yes, he does.
He is awesome.
- But, please, he doesn't
take to strangers.
- [Johnny] What's his name?
- Hugo, he's my best friend.
- Oh.
Right.
Table setting for two.
Hugo's your friend,
I get it now.
Now, I have an offer for
you you cannot refuse.
I think Hugo there is
worth a lot of money.
How would you like me to
get him valued for you?
I have a friend who's
quite the expert
when it comes to dummies.
- Hugo's a doll.
- Bit old to be playing
with dolls, aren't we?
Look, it's five minutes
down the road.
We can be there and
back before you know it.
- No, I can't leave the house,
because of my condition.
- I tell you what, I'll take it.
It's just down the
road, I'll get-
- No, no, you need to leave now.
Hugo's staying here with me.
- That's fine, that's fine.
I was only trying to
help, no hard feelings.
- Please go.
- Are you sure?
- Just go!
[door thuds]
- [Hugo] You don't listen to me.
[Norman sobbing]

- Yeah, it looks like it, mate.
27 quid plus tip.
Hey, are you sure you okay?
You sure you want to
be out here all alone?
It'll be dark soon.
- Yeah, I'm fine.
- I mean, I can hang
around if you need me to.
You know, there's
nothing out here.
Even the junkies don't
come out here.
They say it's cursed.

[shrill music]
[Norman groans]
- We rolling, we live?
- [Camera Man] All set. Rolling.
- Okay, um-
We're here, um, doing
our test shoot
at an undisclosed location,
where we hope we are one
step closer to the mystery
of the dolls.
Um, we're here, I'm Sarah.
We've got, um-
We've got Johnny with
us, our expert.
We've got our team.
Um, we've got security.
Marco and Sam, we've
got our sound guys,
and our camera guys.
Uh, so, okay.
Um, Steve, Steve, you are here.
You're the owner of the house.
He's just gonna show us, uh,
where to find the tunnels
and, um, just talk us through
quickly on what we might find.
So, um-
- What are you expecting?
- [Sarah] Well-
- I've got some stories.
- [Sarah] About the tunnels?
- Yeah, tell us.
- [Sarah] Would you mind, um-
Can we just get those
quickly on camera
in just a couple of minutes?
Marco, can I just get the room?
- How long have you
lived here mate, anyway?
- Um, well, we've, we've
owned it for eight years.
- [Malik] Eight years?
- Yeah, the site.
And the site is quite big, so.
- The stories?
- [Steve] So you
wanna know some-
- Can you tell us about
the stories?
- [Sarah] Yeah, yeah.
- Um, well-
I mean, basically, I can
tell you some stories
about this place.
I know you guys are here.
I know Johnny has come up
and asked me before about
the doll mystery.
I don't know much about it,
but I do know that I've
been here for eight years
and as you can see, this has
taken eight years to get as far
as this because every time
we attempted with builders
and contractors, something
happens.
- Yeah, I'll tell you
what I can
do you,
a good deal on builders
if you want it.
You know what I mean?
I mean, eight years to get to
this is quite poor
really innit.
You know?
- Sorry, carry on.
- Well, the um, the stories are-
I mean, basically,
we've had quite a lot of
accidents and strange
things happening.
And in the back room,
voices, that kind of thing.
All the kind of paranormal
stuff.
- [Johnny] What happened?
- Well, we've had, you know,
we've had a lot of damp.
I mean, we've also had
things going missing.
A lot of the contractors
were annoyed
because things would disappear.
We've had deliveries come,
it's cost me a lot of money.
Um, and, you know, it's,
it's just that I can't-
People I can't seem to get now.
- Hey mate, this
is a nice piece.
What's this from?
- [Steve] Uh, yeah, it
um, it's done by my wife,
but if you don't mind,
that's quite valuable.
So do you-
- Oh, okay, no worries mate.
- Sorry, Steve, carry on.
- Yeah, so we've had incidents.
You know, I, I mean,
I know you got
what you guys are here for
and I know that you,
um, have come
to do this doll mystery thing.
I don't know anything
about that.
But, I know there's been, in
the past, there's been stories
of people going missing
and children used to get
in here and disappear.
But we're going back
to Victorian times
and things like that, you know.
It's all, kind of,
so many mysteries.
It all overlaps each other.
- Okay.
- [Steve] I, I'm
quite fascinated
by the ghost side of things,
but I'm not sure whether,
whether that's true.
With the, with the dolls thing.
- [Malik] Ghosts, what
kind of ghosts?
What have you seen?
- [Steve] Well, um, well I-
- It's not what made you
stop the renovations, was it?
- [Steve] Well, the
renovations, basically, because-
Let's say the-the
contractors didn't, you know-
We're over here for instance,
and we were doing
these electrics.
And every time-
- [Malik] Yeah, be
careful of that.
- [Steve] Every time we've
plastered in that area.
- [Malik] Hang on, hang on.
- [Steve] As you can
see, there's multiple-
- [Malik] Be careful,
be careful.
Don't touch it, don't touch it.
That could be alive. You
know what
I mean?
- [Steve] Every time we've
done it, we've come back
and, within a day, it's all off,
or it's just not worki-
It's just not setting,
and stuff like that.
- Can you tell us about
"Devil", like, what's this?
- [Steve] Well, I just, I
mean, I just think that's kids,
you know, you can see it's
underneath where the
plaster was.
- Kids, are you sure
it's just kids?
- [Sarah] You have a lot
of trouble with them?
- Well, we get, we-
See, the thing is, this, this
entrance is the, the kind of
official entrance.
- [Sarah] Right, okay.
- But we do have other places
that people can get in.
We can't keep 'em out.
It's such a big area.
- Just because they, I suppose,
they think it's abandoned
or not lived in, this part.
- [Steve] Well, you get,
you get a lot of, you know,
just weird people, really.
Strange people.
You get occultist and
things like that.
I mean, it's probably
some-something,
you know, they've got in here.
- Really?
- Oh, that's just
kids, isn't it?
Um, you know.
- He didn't say an optician.
He's talking about, you
know, evil people.
Not, you know-
- [Steve] But they used
to, I mean, this place was-
It goes back to the,
you know, Victorian.
Even before that, Napoleon.
And I think they had
gunpowder here.
They've probably had
accidents here.
- Yeah, I-I've noticed
that when I came in,
I could smell some gunpowder
actually.
- Yeah, and, and,
uh, they had, um,
they've obviously
had people die.
So I, I, I have had
one thing happen
with something mysterious,
which was here, in the,
in this very room.
- [Sarah] What happened?
- Where, you know, we was here.
I was in the corner
doing some stuff,
and I turned around thinking
it was my wife standing there,
and my wife was actually
outside the window.
- Well she was probably
doing that sculpture, mate.
You know what I mean?
- Well, yeah, no, it wasn't-
I know it was weird,
because when I turned around
and looked, there was
a lady standing there.
And she was quite-
You know, makeup, long hair.
And.
But, then, when I turned
back, my wife was outside.
When I turned back again,
this, this, this girl was gone.
- [Sarah] Does it put
you off wanting to finish
getting the work done?
- Well, yeah, I mean
that's 'cause I was having
to do it myself.
So at that stage a lot of
the builders weren't around
and I was in here trying
to sort some stuff out.
- But.
- Fucking bullshit.
- So it's that kind of
thing that
goes on.
I mean, what, what I
will say,
I mean,
I can show you this back
room, because the back room.
- [Sarah] Oh, that'd be great.
- [Steve] And where
the tunnels are.
- Yeah, well, hang on a minute.
Before you all go, let me just
check to see if it's okay.
I'll go, go with the
owner a minute.
Just hang on a minute,
all right?
So where are we going
then, mate?
- It's down here.
- Yep.
- [Steve] And, and the
tunnels are that way.
But I'll just show you
this room because-
- [Malik] All right.
Before you go, can I just
check these stairs a minute,
just to make sure.
'Cause, um, is there anything
up here that we need to see?
- No, not, there's
nothing up there.
- All right, well lemme
just check it, anyway,
just to see if it's okay.
- So what's through here, Steve?
- [Steve] Well, this.
- Yeah, it seems okay,
you know what I mean?
- I mean, my wife's bedroom.
But, um, it's where
everybody says-
- Are you getting this, Marco?
- It's where everybody says
they sense the things are sense.
- [Johnny] Sense?
- Well, I mean, one
of my builders said
that he saw a child-like
creep thing in there,
looking at him, watching.
And, they've heard footsteps
and voices
and things like that.
So, you know, its-
- There's nothing in here.
- Well, there's nothing
in here now.
I mean, you know, we.
These things are over
an eight year-
Remember it's over an
eight-year period
that this all has happened.
[knuckles rapping]
So, for me, it's a business
and we've lost a lot
of money on this, but.
And, I believe in bits
of it and not other bits.
Um, so, yeah I mean-
- So what are you doing
in there now, then?
- Well, we, we just at the
moment, I mean obviously,
Sarah's paid to come here
and do this, so I assume-
- Oh, she paid your
money, has she?
All right.
- Well it's a business,
isn't it, so.
- Oh. Yeah.
[Sarah sniffs]
- But I'm, I'm gonna
warn you guys,
because I say this
to all the contractors
when they come in.
I say, I'm not responsible
for anything that happens.
- No.
- We'll be fine.
- Yeah.
- And-
- [Johnny] We'll be fine.
- Well we'll be fine,
we've got Johnny.
- Well, they say that, but
they all don't believe it
and something happens.
So you are gonna be going
down to an area
that I don't even want
to go down to.
And I've been here eight years.
So whatever happens down there.
We've had, we've had
a contractor
go down
and had to change all the bulbs,
fix all the bulbs,
get 'em all done.
And he lasted five minutes,
and he came out like
white as a sheet.
And he said he saw something.
It, like, touched him, he said,
on the back of his shoulder
and grabbed him.
So.
- You got a lot of
dust down there.
I mean, that could be.
That could potentially
be [indistinct].
- So there's, there's,
there's, you know,
when you go down the
guys, just be very careful.
There's long stairs
that goes down.
It goes underneath
the kind
of area
that right into these
tunnel systems.
- That's fine, we're well lit.
The guys have got-
- Okay, I'm just
warning you now.
I mean, we've got it on
camera so I'm warning you.
So.
- [Sarah] That's fine.
- Do you know what?
- See this here?
- Do you know what, Sarah?
I think actually you could
audition him for your new show.
- Malik?
- I think you would make
a good actor actually.
- Malik, Malik, shut up.
- Yeah?
What?
- Are these?
Do you know what this-
This, this is a finger,
it's like.
- Mate, this is a
false wall, yeah?
It's a false wall, you could
have just done that now.
You know what I mean?
- [Sarah] Um-
[knuckles rapping]
- [Johnny] I didn't just
do it now, it was there.
- Yeah, but look.
[knuckles rapping]
- It looks like-
- Look at it, look at it.
- Is there one, um.
- Entrance to the-
- It's not solid, mate.
- I'm just a little bit
concerned about your
security guard,
'cause he's like,
he seems quite.
- [Malik] What?
- Well, you seem like you.
- Sorry.
- No, I just, I just think,
to be honest with you, mate.
- It's all right.
It's all right, all right.
It's all right.
- I just think
it's a little odd.
- Malik, all right.
- What you gotta remember,
is that you've paid me
for this place, and I own it.
- [Malik] Yeah, no,
I understand that.
- [Steve] If you go down
there and something happens,
I ain't coming to get you.
- No, I know.
- Simple as that.
- Well, it's all right.
- It's fine.
- I mean that's what
I'm paid for,
so don't worry about it.
- All right.
- So, I'll show you
down to the tunnel.
- Would you.
- Could we hurry this up please?
- But, I'm not going down there.
It's as simple as that.
- All right.
- [Johnny] All right, that's
fine, I didn't ask you to.
I just wanna get, I wanna
get this moving, you know.
I wanna get seeing
these tunnels.
- You might be excited now.
But, believe me, if
you go down there.
- [Johnny] Trust me,
nothing is going to stop me.
It's my passion, I love this.
- [Sarah] Malik?
- It's fucking acting,
you know what I mean?
- Malik?
- [Malik] Yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, it's all right.
I'm just checking a bit of
this, that, and the other,
you know what I mean?
So where are we going,
all right, okay.
Sorry, sorry.
- Right, um-
- Johnny, Johnny, Johnny.
Out of my way.
- Out of my way.
- The door's unlocked.
I'm not going anywhere
past this door.
- [Malik] Sorry, sorry, mate.
- Okay.
- Sorry.
- [Steve] All right?
- Hang on a minute.
- Do you want me
to take the keys?
- Hang on a minute.
- No, you guys go through
and I'm going to shut
the door behind you.
- [Malik] And I'm going to
make sure the coast is clear.
- [Sarah] Okay, um.
All right, well thank
you, Steve.
- That's okay.
- [Malik] Yeah, thanks, Steve.
Appreciate it, mate!
- Guys.
We're gonna make our
way down to the tunnels
and see what we can find there.
- Yeah, hang on a
minute, darling.
Give him a.
He's a bit delirious,
do you know what I mean?
- Norman?
Norman?
Norman?
Norman?
- [Johnny] There you go.
- Norman?
Hello.
[Norman gasps]
Listen, don't be afraid.
There's nothing to worry about.
Don't worry about the cameras,
they're with me, listen.
Listen. I need you
to listen
to me.
Norman, my name's Sarah,
and I'm a producer,
and all my friends are here.
Listen.
All these cameras,
they're with me.
We're making a program, Norman,
we're making a documentary.
We're here to talk to you
about your dolls, Norman.
We want to talk to you
about Hugo. [Malik laughs]
Come on up you get.
Now listen, I'm just gonna grab.
I'm just gonna grab a
microphone
for you.
Hang on a minute.
- Alright, mate?
You want a cup of tea?
Yeah?
- Hang on a minute.
- You want a cup of tea, yeah?
What, two sugars?
Or are you sweet enough?
- Listen, I've got
one, I've
got one.
Johnny's got one.
You remember Johnny, don't you?
You remember Johnny.
- Hey, Norman.
Do you remember me?
- Listen.
- I came to look after
you, remember?
- Yeah.
- Remember?
- There you go, Johnny's
your friend.
You met him this morning,
didn't you?
You remember Johnny, don't you?
- It's okay, it's okay.
- He knows about Hugo.
We want to just talk
to you about Hugo.
- Hugo?
- Hugo, yes!
- Hugo.
- Yes, Hugo.
- Your doll-
- I think we should make a
fucking porno actually. [laughs]
Hey, you got tits in
your mouth. [laughs]
- [Norman] Where's Hugo?
- Norman, do you talk to Hugo?
- Where's Hugo?
- Norman, Norman.
Does Hugo talk to you?
You talk to him?
- [Norman] Julie.
- Julie?
No, Julie's not here, no.
- Norman?
- Sarah?
- You took Hugo.
You took.
I, I told you he doesn't, like-
I told you, told you he
doesn't like to be handled.
- [Johnny] That's fine.
- No, no, no, no, no, no.
- Guys, don't get too close.
He's getting a bit stressed
out now, you know what I mean?
You want to-
- He's fine.
- All right, well don't fuckin'-
If he goes fuckin' mad,
don't fuckin' blame me.
- Norman, Norman, calm down.
Norman, Norman.
There is nothing to
worry about here.
- We're your friends.
You know me.
- They're bright!
- Yes, don't-
It's okay, they're just cameras.
They're just cameras, it's fine.
They're, they're with us.
- [Sarah] They're all with me.
We just want to talk
to you about Hugo.
[Norman yells]
All right, Norman.
Norman, can you talk to us?
- We're your friends,
you're fine.
- Sarah, tell me what it is.
Do you remember when I
came in for the interview
and you said that you
wanted me to do something?
I've done that and, you
know, everything's secure.
He's not dangerous anymore.
No, no, listen, listen.
He's not dangerous anymore.
So I think, you know,
you can sort
me out
with my readies, you
know what
I mean?
- Have, have you, have
you been here before?
Do you know?
- [Norman] Dreams.
- [Johnny] Dreams?
- It's my dreams.
- Are you ignoring me?
- Oh, no, hold on, hold on.
- It's in my dream,
I have a dream.
It's in my dreams?
- [Johnny] Your dreams,
tell us about your dreams.
- [Sarah] Your dreams, Norman?
- Are you getting this?
- Norman, your dreams?
- Are you guys getting this?
- [Sarah] Talk to me
about your dreams.
- [Malik] You sure
don't want
to have
a cup of tea, mate, yeah?
- Shut up.
- [Malik] Yeah, you talking
about dreams.
- Shut up.
- [Malik] It's not wet
dreams, is it, eh, huh?
- Tell us about the dreams.
- [Sarah] Norman, Norman.
- I don't know.
I don't know
- Norman, do you remember?
- I don't know, I don't
know, I don't know.
I don't know, I don't
know, I don't know.
I don't know!
- [Malik] He's getting
frustrated.
Just come away from
him, come away from him.
Come away from him,
he's getting frustrated.
Look, I know about
these situations.
I know you are a social worker,
or supposedly social worker,
But I know how to deal with
the situations, all right?
- There's no need to make
yourself so worked up.
- He knows me.
- Knows you?
- Yes.
- [Sarah] Nobody is here
to hurt you, all right?
- What, you went
around his place
and your fucking best
friends now, what?
Best friends.
- Nobody is here to hurt you.
We just want to talk to you
about Hugo, all right, okay?
- Can you tell us
about the dreams?
What did you see,
what did you see?
- I don't know, just the dream.
I just-
- [Sarah] What dream,
do you remember?
- [Norman] Here, I see-
- [Sarah] Here, here, Norman.
What about here?
- Was Hugo in the dream?
- Where's Hugo, Hugo.
I want Hugo, I want
Hugo, I want Hugo.
- Hugo, where for art thou Hugo?
Where are you Hugo?
- Hold on, hold, I got an idea.
- You've taken Hugo,
you took Hugo.
You've got Hugo.
- [Sarah] He hasn't taken Hugo.
He hasn't taken Hugo.
- If you want Hugo, we,
we can find you Hugo,
if you tell us where
the secret passage is.
There's a secret passage,
I know there is.
- [Sarah] Norman, do you
know anything about that?
- I want Hugo.
I want Hugo.
- [Johnny] You can get Hugo.
- How long are we gonna
be doing this?
- Norman, listen to me.
- Hugo!
- Listen to me.
- Hugo!
- Norman.
- Hugo?
- [Johnny] Where is Hugo?
- [Malik] Hugo, where
for art thou Hugo?
- Norman, we need you to be
very brave talking to us now.
All right?
We need you to be very
brave for us.
Can you do that, Norman?
[shrill music]
- Hang on a minute,
hang on a minute.
- No!
- [Johnny] Malik, Malik!
Get off him, Malik.
[Norman screams]
Malik!
- Norman, Norman, Norman,
Norman, Norman.
Just stand him up,
Just get
him up.
Just get him up, get him up.
Norman, Norman, Norman,
Norman, Norman.
Norman, Norman.
- You're all right, mate.
- Norman.
- You're all right.
Norman, Norman.
- You sure?
- Norman?
- You're all right, mate.
- [Sarah] Norman?
- [Johnny] Fuck!
- Norman, that's it.
Norman, he's got you.
- These two areas are
fucking trouble as well.
- All right, just
let him go
a bit.
Let him go a bit.
- You sure?
- Let him go a bit.
- You sure?
- Let him go a bit.
Let him go a bit.
- All right,
I'm not responsible.
I'm not responsible.
I'm not responsible, all right?
- [Sarah] Norman, Norman.
- Are you taking the piss?
It's what I do, mate.
This is what I do, mate.
I'm fuckin' security, that's
what she employed me for.
- [Sarah] It's all right.
- Don't know what you're
employed for.
You didn't even fuckin' steal
the fuckin' thing did you?
- All right, all right.
Just let him be a minute, okay?
- It's cause you're
a fuckin nonce.
- [Johnny] I'm a nonce?
- You're a fuckin' nonce, mate.
- [Sarah] Norman, Norman.
That's it, that's it.
All right, come on.
[Norman crying]
Come on.
- [Malik] Fucking crying, is he?
- All right, all right.
And pop these back on
for you. Come on.
- Norman, get your glasses on.
- [Sarah] There you
go, there
you are.
- Sorry about that, mate.
Sorry.
- There you go.
[Norman crying]
- There you are.
- Piss off, already.
- [Sarah] There you are.
- Piss off. [laughing]
- All right.
All right.
Okay.
- Listen, mate, you
really wanna.
- Get your hands off me?
- Watch who you talking to?
Do you know what I mean?
Just in case, you know.
- Get your hands off me.
- Let him go.
- No, he's all right.
I'm keeping him secure just
like I did with Norman there.
Do you know what I mean?
He's all right.
- [Sarah] Fuckin'
babysitting three kids here.
- Where's, where's
your, where's-
[Johnny choking]
Oh, sorry mate, sorry,
sorry about that.
- Norman.
[Johnny coughing]
- Sorry about that, mate,
he's all right.
- Do you think you might
be ready to talk to me?
- You're all right, mate.
- Norman!
[chilling music]
- Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!
[eerie music]
- I wanna talk about my
five grand, all right?
- Fuckin'.
- I think she's passing me
guys, do you know what
I mean? [laughs]
- Fucking talking
about money for
in front of people.
- What? - What are you
fucking playing at?
- What do you mean,
what do you mean?
- Listen.
- Listen.
We had an agreement, right?
When I came for the interview,
you said to me that
you wanted muscle,
which I've done for
you. I provided for you.
- You can have your fuckin'
money, but you wind
your neck in.
- Hooray, fuckin' hooray!
- You listen to me and
you listen good.
- Okay.
- Because I may not be
as stupid as my sister.
And you know why?
- Why?
- She may not know
what's going on,
but I fucking do.
- Norman.
Hey, hey, it's me.
A friend.
See, not with that nasty guy.
The nasty man, did he hit you?
He's gone.
Did he hit you?
- And she will find
out, all right?
So I suggest you take your money
and fuck off away from me.
- Do you know what I like?
In fact, do you know
what, I mean,
I've got to say that,
I didn't think of you in
that same sort of light,
but you know, you are
really turning me on.
[hand slaps]
[Malik laughing]
Is that five grand in 20s then?
- [Sarah] Fuck you!
- Bitch.
What the fuck's going on?
This fucking place!
It's fucking unbelievable.
- We gonna find Hugo, yeah?
Come on.
- We all need to split.
- Well, I think we're
going to try
and find his best friend,
aren't we?
Yeah, you wanna do that?
Where the fuck's Malik?
- Oh, fuck Malik.
- Oh, come on, come
on, let's go.
He's a cunt anyway.
Come on, come on, let's go.
We're gonna find Hugo
and you're gonna be happy
again, and you'll be fine, yeah?
Yeah, make sure you give
him some space, mate.
Right now, we are doing
this for you, okay?
We're trying to help you
find your best friend.
Your best friend.
Can you tell us-
Hold on a sec, just wait there.
Can you tell us where
is the passage way.
Where's the secret?
Do you know where it is?
You've been here before,
you've seen it before.
- Can you tell us, Norman?
- Can you?
He, he's not,
he's fuckin' useless.
He's fuckin' useless.
Come on, come on now.
- All right, Norman.
- This is.
Norman, Norman.
No, we don't-
We don't need him anyway.
Honestly.
Just leave him be.
It's a lost cause.
[footsteps tapping]
- We can't just let him go.
- It's fine.
Leave him be.
Look, babe, babe.
It's you and I now.
Yeah, just the two of us.
I think I know where
the treasure is.
Well, I assume there's treasure.
And if there is true treasure,
which I'm pretty sure
there is, we can split it.
Just you and I, yeah?
So if you come with me, just,
I need you, right, I need you.
I really do need you.
So if you come with
me, we'll
find it
and we can split it halves
or we can just do whatever.
I don't know, we'll
be fine, come on.
Yeah?
I need you, babe, come on.
- Better lead the way.
- Yeah.
Come on, let's go.
[brooding music]
Come on.
I reckon, you'd go down here.
You turn right.
That's where the secret
passage is.
It's gotta be.
That's the only place
we haven't looked.
The only place we
haven't looked.
- [Sarah] Oh, I dunno, Johnny.
- Honestly, it'll be fine.
Come on, let's go.
Trust me.
Yeah?
- I'm not feeling it.
- I'm feeling it, I know.
I've been searching this
my whole life, okay?
I know where we're going, okay?
Come on.
[brooding music]
[creature buzzing]
[shrill music]
[gong cymbal clinks]
[eerie music]
- We killed the poor bastard.
- It's much more complicated,
much more.
- Well then you better
start fucking talking to me.
- It's, it's a long, it's
a fucking long story.
Just.
Ah, okay.
- Johnny, my company
is on the line here.
- This is gonna-
- What the fuck is going on?
- This'll be good
for you, right?
It started when I
was young, right?
I remember, I was walking
to school,
and every time I walked
past this house,
this doll was always in
the window, staring at me.
It felt like I was-
As if it was drawing me in.
I felt some, something.
I can't explain what it was.
It's like, it's crazy.
I walk home and it
wouldn't be there.
Just, obviously, someone could
have just fucking moved it.
But it wasn't there anymore.
But every time I saw this girl
I'd get these, these dreams.
These, these vivid
nightmares.
It, it was here, it
was this place.
- What do you mean it was here?
- It was this place.
And I couldn't explain.
I didn't understand
what was going on.
I, I was just a child.
I had actually no idea
what was going on.
- Something's not right
about this place, Johnny.
- Yeah, you're right.
There-there's something's
wrong with it.
I.
- I just don't have
a good feeling.
- No, I get it, I know.
But.
- People died here?
- I don't know, I.
They might, they might have.
I've done research.
I, I find every library.
I've, I've been to every,
every library.
I, I've read every book.
I, I even like hacked
government files.
I found this information
online about this place.
It's...
Something happened here
as an experiment.
I, I don't know.
- What are you talking about?
What are you going on about?
You need to start making
a bit more sense, Johnny,
because this is just, this
is not what I signed up for.
This is, this is my job.
I've worked too hard
for this to fucking
all fall apart now.
- This is a real opportunity
for you, it's fine.
Honestly, right?
It's fine.
But I, I thought I
figured out what,
what this thing was, or
I think I did anyway.
I went back to the house
and I broke in.
Norman was there.
- What the hell?
- Norman was there, right?
But it was young, I was 14.
And it, it's hazy.
The doll attacked me.
It's so fucked up, it
sounds fucked up.
Seriously.
- Hugo?
- Yeah.
[Sarah sighs]
That's how I got this,
I, I broke in.
I was looking for the doll.
- I, I'm not understanding you.
- Something drew-drew
me into the doll, right?
I got in there.
I was looking for it.
Norman wasn't behind
me, Norman was upstairs.
This fuckin' doll.
I, I.
One minute he wasn't
there, next minute he was.
I don't remember
much after that.
That's all I fucking know.
- Fucking mental.
- But I went back.
That's is why I, I
went back
for him.
- Don't you think this
has all going a bit,
a bit far now?
- Yeah, it is.
But I, I need, I need
to find this place.
There's a se-
I know there's a secret
passage somewhere.
I found it online and I
found this information.
It's somewhere, it's
in this hall.
- Where?
- I, I don't fucking know.
This is why I was hoping Norman
would be able to
fucking help.
- And it wasn't in your dream?
He's the one that had-
Oh, fucking- [groans]
I don't fucking know.
I just need to find this place.
I've been looking for this
my whole fucking life.
- Be my guest.
After you.
- Where is he?
[eerie music]
[person laughing]
[footsteps tapping]
- [Hugo] Come closer.
[ominous music]
Closer!
Who's the kidnapped one, now?
Closer.
[ominous music continues]
Time to die!
[Malik screaming]
Fuck you!
[flesh squelching]
- You getting this?
Oh, my God, it's daylight.
- We're back to the start.
- It's fucking daylight,
we're at the beginning.
- [Johnny] Are you kidding me?
- Oh, for fuck's sake.
- Oh, fucking hell.
- Oh, my God.
- What?
- Look at all this stuff.
- [Johnny] What is it?
- This is that job.
That job all the builders just
down tools and fucked off.
- They must have
found the dolls.
- They knew.
Johnny, we've gotta go
back for the others.
- No, it's, it's, it's gotta be-
- Guys, we've gotta go
back for the others.
- Sarah no, it's gotta
be around here somewhere.
The entrance has to
be around here.
If they found them, it's
gotta be around here.
- What is wrong with you?
We've got to go back!
- No, fuck them.
We've already been there, we
know there's nothing in there.
- [Sarah] This is fucking
ridiculous.
- [Johnny] Fucking hell.
- Johnny.
[brooding music]
- What?
What is it?
- [Sarah] I dunno.
- [Johnny] [chuckles]
It's the devil.
- Well, what's it doing
on the wall?
- I guess the builders
put it there.
- Why?
- [Johnny] I don't know,
but let's check it out.
- [Sarah] Oh, god.
[brooding music continues]
[footsteps tapping]
- [Johnny] It's empty.
It's a fucking empty room.
What's that?
- Nothing.
I've worked too fucking
hard to lose this now.
- Ah, don't fucking make
this about you.
I've been looking-
I've been looking to do
this my whole fucking life.
I've been trying to find them.
- For fuck's sake!
What is it?
[wall thudding]
- It's hollow.
There must be a passageway
behind it.
In there.
[brooding music]
- [Sarah] I don't like
this, Johnny.
- It's fine, there's
nothing in there.
- Something's not right.
- [sniffs] Smells fucking awful.
Look at this.
It's the passageway.
We found it.
- Oh, my God, we found it.
- Come on then.
- You're coming?
- [Camera Man] Fuck
that. [laughs]
- How come no one's
ever found this before?
- It's like a maze, isn't it?
- [Sarah] It's a fucking
labyrinth.
- Yep.
[rats squeaking]
Are you coming or what?
Seriously, are you coming?
- [Sarah] I dunno about
this, Johnny.
- You're pissing me off now.
You really are.
Seriously, if you're
not gonna come,
just fucking go home.
- Look, I'm really not sure.
- Just go.
You're slowing me down.
[flies buzzing]
- [Sarah] What is it?
- It's just a fucking box.
Just a piece of wood.
[eerie music]
This is it.
- How do you know?
[Johnny screams]
[Sarah screams]
- Oh, fuck.
[suspenseful music]
I think we found it. [chuckles]
This is it.
This is the place.
- [Sarah] I hope these fuckin'
things don't come to life.
- [Johnny] Come on, there's
much more to see here.
Let's go.
- They seem so real.
Oh, wait for me.
[suspenseful music]
[Norman breathing heavily]
- Hugo!
Hugo!
[Norman breathing heavily]
[suspenseful music continues]
Hugo!
Hugo!
[Norman yells]
Hugo!
[soft eerie music]
[soft eerie music continues]
[Norman breathing heavily]
[Norman sniffs]
[ominous music]
[neck cracks]
[eerie rattling]
[ominous music continues]
[neck cracks]
[footsteps tapping]
- Welcome home,
my little Norman.
How you have grown.
Now, finally, I can
complete my spell
and send us all back so we
can take this evil with us.
- Who are you?
- [Woman] You don't remember?
- I have dreams.
- I knew you'd come.
When we got Hugo back,
all of us starting coming
alive again.
But we just needed you.
And here you are
to save us all.
- Who are you?
- I'm your mother.
[Norman gasp]
[objects creaking]
- I really don't like it.
- We've come this far,
don't give
up now.
- But I really think
we should turn back.
- No, I'm going on.
- This isn't right, Johnny.
There's something
here, it's weird.
And it's pissed off at us.
- I'm not giving up now.
If you want to, you go back.
But I'm going in this direction.
- This is all over
a fucking doll.
- This isn't just
about the doll.
This is about a mystery
that's been hidden down
here for decades.
And I'm this close to
figuring out what it is.
Nothing is gonna stop me.
[footsteps tapping]
[Sarah whimpering]
- Johnny!
[Sarah whimpering]
[brooding music]
Oh, come on, Sarah,
you can do this.
Get your shit together.
There's nothing to worry about.
- [Hugo] Oh, yes there is.
[Sarah gasping]
Fucking bitch!
[flesh squelches]
[body thuds]
[Sarah moaning]
- [Eleanor] Did I make the cut?
[Sarah crying]
[ominous music]
[Eleanor chuckles]
This is gonna sting a
little. [laughing]
- [Hugo] Get her!
[Sarah crying]
[Sarah screaming]
[object thudding]
[object creaking]
- I tried to save you.
- It was you,
in my dreams.
- Something happened to Eleanor.
He changed her.
She was the one who
read from the book.
She was the one who
summoned Hugo here.
- What's happening to me?
- You are changing.
[Norman groaning]
[body thuds]
[ominous music]
[bird squawking]
[woman humming]
[footsteps tapping]
- [Mother] How are
you progressing?
- Stage three, there are
definitely abnormalities.
We could go to stage two,
but no further than that.
- Okay.
Look at this.
[woman breathing heavily]
- Rise from the deepest,
darkest cabins of damnation.
Through me, become this
vessel, become this vessel.
Make glorious your presence
upon this household.
And shake a fear through
these walls .
Come now and be as one.
- Eleanor, what are you doing?
- Wisest death you ever lived.
Oh, mother.
- No.
No.
- It's already done.
[mannequins shattering]
- You have doomed us for
an eternity of damnation.
An eternity of hell.
- But, mother, I've already
been living in hell.
Don't you understand, mom?
He came to me and he
spoke to me. [laughing]
- He's not yet complete.
[Eleanor evil laughing]
- [Eleanor] Oh, Norman.
[laughing]
- Now we have a chance
to save everyone
and put Hugo back where
he came from.
- How?
- You must say these
words from
the book.
Say these words.
[mother speaking foreign
language]
[flesh squelches]
[doll evil laughing]
- Hello, mother, Norman's
in pain.
[footsteps tapping]
- This is it.
[shrill music]
[Norman panting]
Norman.
Norman?
What is this place, Norman?
What is the secret?
What are you, why
is there secrets?
- [Dolls] Secrets?
- Yes.
I need to know, I've been
searching for you my whole life.
Is it immortality?
- [Dolls] Immortality.
- I need to know the secrets!
- It's not a secret, Johnny.
It's a curse. [chuckles]
- [Hugo] Curse, it is.
- [Johnny] Tell me.
Tell me everything.
- [Hugo] Eleanor, my darling,
do you think he's ready
to know everything?
I don't think his tiny
little brain could take it.
- Oh, Hugo, I think he
knows way too much.
I think it's time that
we say, bye-bye, Johnny.
[Eleanor chuckling]
- No, only Norman could do that.
And he's a blabbery
pile of mush.
[Eleanor laughing]
Meet mother, by the way.
- Oh, fuck.
I, I don't understand.
The stories I've been
told are different.
- Oh, please tell, Johnny,
we're all listening.
- You and your family.
You and your family were working
on a top secret government
experiment.
But this was no ordinary
experiment.
There were no men in white
coats, no test tubes.
This was witchcraft.
The government wanted to
create a superhuman hybrid,
use mannequins as test subjects.
- [Hugo] Witchcraft.
This all sounds a little
fantastical to me,
but do go on, old boy.
As I find you most amusing.
- But something went wrong,
something unexpected,
something evil.
- Well, Johnny, we've been
rotting here for decades.
Slowly away with the rest
of the world. [giggles]
Boo. [laughs]
- [Johnny] What really happened?
- Hmm.
Um, well, you got me,
Johnny. [giggles]
I hated living in
this shit hole.
I was told that it
was top secret
and we were never allowed out.
What happened to communication
with the outside world?
Do you know what that's
like for a teenager, hmm?
I just wanted them to die.
Just something to happen
so I could go out and
play. [giggles maniacally]
But then he came. [giggles]
Well, the voice in my head,
he just told me what to do
and how to read mother's book,
and well, he come and saved
me. [giggles maniacally]
- Demon?
[soft intense music]
[Eleanor giggles uneasily]
- Well, Johnny, you see, um,
my mother was meddling with
witchcraft so powerful,
and well, it worked very well.
So I just tapped into it, and
well, Hugo was the result.
But I normally go away with Hugo
before I can even finish
and complete,
and it was only a half time.
Thank you for bringing
it back to me, Johnny.
I can finally finish what
I completed now. [giggles]
- What are you gonna do?
[intense shrill music]
- Oh, Johnny.
You don't think Hugo
is the only demon I can
summon? [giggles maniacally]
- [Hugo] That's right, my dear.
I have a very big family
and they all want
to come and play.
[Eleanor giggling]
[intense dramatic music]
- Norman, come on, get up.
Get up and do something!
- [Hugo] That's right,
Norman, always the weak link.
Just look at you, you
fucking useless tub of meat.
You fool, I'm laughing at
your superior intellect.
By Jove, I never knew
he had it
in him.
[Norman panting]
- I never knew my mother
until just now.
You took her from me,
but she taught me these
three words.
Fire and inferno.
[Eleanor shushing]
- [Hugo] Oh, shit.
[intense music]
[Johnny coughing]
- Let's get out of here.
[intense music continues]
[Norman grunting]
[Johnny coughing]
[sad music]
[Johnny coughing]
[footsteps tapping]
[Johnny coughing]
[dramatic music]
[birds chirping]
[Johnny coughing]
We're all right.
We're safe.
[dramatic music continues]
You're okay now.
- Yeah, I am.
[ominous music]
[water dripping]
[dramatic orchestral music]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[intense clanking music]
[gentle mysterious music]
[intense mysterious music]
[intense mysterious
music continues]
[intense mysterious
music continues]
[intense mysterious
music continues]
[police sirens wailing]
- [Doctor] The patient
has been in our system
for over 30 years.
He came to us when he was young.
He suffers from multiple
problems,
including nightmares
about his childhood.
He has delusional thoughts
that revolve around dolls
and creatures.
Something in his psyche
must be discovered soon,
and the answer is there
for all of us to find out.
[shrill music]
[woman screaming]
- Go take him.
Quick, before she can get him.
Run, run, run!
[brooding music]
[man breathing heavily]
[man screaming]
[brooding music intensifies]
[man breathing heavily]
[shrill music]
[Norman gasps]
[Norman breathing heavily]
[ominous music]
- You should shut up at all.
[man breathing heavily]
[eerie music]
[mysterious music]
Hello.
Who's there?
Hugo?
Is that you?
[person creepy laughing]
[person creepy laughing]
[eerie music]
- [Doctor] At first,
we were unsure
what his medical condition was.
He was later diagnosed
with paranoid delusional
thought,
learning difficulties,
and schizophrenia.
The medication that he
has been administered
must be maintained at all times.
Otherwise, he'll have a
tendency to be violent.
[soft mysterious music]
[water dripping]
[toothbrush scratching]
[eerie music]
[Norman gasps]
- Hugo!
I told you not to scare me.
[shrill music]
[toaster pops]
[plate clinking]
[bread scraping]
[brooding music]
[plate clinks]
Hugo.
Breakfast.
[eerie music]
There you are.
[juice sloshing]
[eerie music]
[faucet water sloshing]
Hugo, you haven't eaten
all of your breakfast?
[doorbell rings]
[ominous music]
[Norman gasps]
Yes, I know, I know
it's not her.
[Norman breathing heavily]
[knuckles rapping]
- Norman.
Norman.
[door clicks and creaks]
Norman, it's Johnny.
Your support worker for today.
- Where's Julie?
- Julie's on holiday.
Remember?
She explained I'd be here today.
I have your favorite ice cream,
and everything else on the list.
- You better come in then.
- [Johnny] Thank you.
[door clicks]
[faucet water sloshing]
Cup of tea to start, I think.
Would you like to help?
- I've had breakfast.
- Are you expecting
someone else?
- That's Hugo's.
[Johnny chuckles]
- Who's Hugo?
- My friend.
- [Johnny] And, where is he?
- Around.
- Hmm.
[footsteps tapping]
[leaves rustling]
[Norman sighs]
Well done, you.
Now, would you mind
doing the washing up?
I'm sure you'll do great.
And, can I just use
your bathroom?
- It's upstairs.
- [Johnny] Thank you.
[soft mysterious music]
[footsteps tapping]
[soft mysterious
music continues]
[plate clinks]
[soft mysterious
music continues]
- Johnny?
- [Hugo] You know he's
in your room, don't you?
He's no support worker.
- [Norman] Who is he then?
- [Hugo] He's here for me.
- But no one knows you are here.
- [Hugo] Go and get him.
- Johnny?
- Oh, sorry.
Sorry, Norman, coming.
[footsteps tapping]
Sorry, Norman.
[shrill music]
Now that is a work of art.
- No, please, he doesn't
like to be held.
- Yes, he does.
He is awesome.
- But, please, he doesn't
take to strangers.
- [Johnny] What's his name?
- Hugo, he's my best friend.
- Oh.
Right.
Table setting for two.
Hugo's your friend,
I get it now.
Now, I have an offer for
you you cannot refuse.
I think Hugo there is
worth a lot of money.
How would you like me to
get him valued for you?
I have a friend who's
quite the expert
when it comes to dummies.
- Hugo's a doll.
- Bit old to be playing
with dolls, aren't we?
Look, it's five minutes
down the road.
We can be there and
back before you know it.
- No, I can't leave the house,
because of my condition.
- I tell you what, I'll take it.
It's just down the
road, I'll get-
- No, no, you need to leave now.
Hugo's staying here with me.
- That's fine, that's fine.
I was only trying to
help, no hard feelings.
- Please go.
- Are you sure?
- Just go!
[door thuds]
- [Hugo] You don't listen to me.
[Norman sobbing]
- He's gone now.
- [Hugo] He'll be back.
[suspenseful music]
[police sirens wailing]
[dog barking]
[door clicks]
[suspenseful music continues]
[suspenseful music continues]
[eerie music]
[shrill music]
[creature creepy laughing]
[thunder rumbling]
[creature creepy laughing]
[shrill music continues]
[Johnny breathing heavily]
[shrill music]
[Johnny breathing heavily]
[footsteps receding rapidly]
[shrill music]
[eerie music]
[woman screaming]
[man screaming]
[bells ringing]
[birds chirping]
[Norman breathing heavily]
- Hugo! [breathing rapidly]
Hugo.
[objects clattering]
[Norman whimpering]
[brooding music]
[phone dings]
[Norman crying]
[phone dinging]
[Norman snuffles]
[Norman crying]
[brooding music]
[birds chirping]
[footsteps crunching]
[car door clicks]
- Hey.
Hey, what the hell you doing?
- S-Sorry, I haven't been
out of my house in a long time.
- Yeah, it looks like it, mate.
27 quid plus tip.
Hey, are you sure you okay?
You sure you want to
be out here all alone?
It'll be dark soon.
- Yeah, I'm fine.
- I mean, I can hang
around if you need me to.
You know, there's
nothing out here.
Even the junkies don't
come out here.
They say it's cursed.
- I need to find Hugo.
- Aw, whatever.
[driver scoffs]
And he leave the door
open. [indistinct]
[car door thuds]
[brooding music]
[car engine sputters]
[brooding music continues]
[leaves rustling]
[shrill music]
[Norman whimpering]
[intense mysterious music]
- Go take him, quick!
Before she can get him.
Run, run, run!
[suspenseful music]
- [Hugo] Norman.
[woman laughing eerily]
- [Man] Johnny had
schizophrenia.
- [Johnny] Too old to
be playing with dolls,
aren't we?
- [Hugo] Norman.
[ominous music]
[creature creepy laughing]
[Norman whimpering]
[Norman breathing heavily]
[rats squeaking]
[Norman coughing]
[Norman breathing heavily]
[soft brooding music]
[metal clanking]
[metal clanking]
[shrill music]
[Norman groans]
- We rolling, we live?
- [Camera Man] All set. Rolling.
- Okay, um-
We're here, um, doing
our test shoot
at an undisclosed location,
where we hope we are one
step closer to the mystery
of the dolls.
Um, we're here, I'm Sarah.
We've got, um-
We've got Johnny with
us, our expert.
We've got our team.
Um, we've got security.
Marco and Sam, we've
got our sound guys,
and our camera guys.
Uh, so, okay.
Um, Steve, Steve, you are here.
You're the owner of the house.
He's just gonna show us, uh,
where to find the tunnels
and, um, just talk us through
quickly on what we might find.
So, um-
- What are you expecting?
- [Sarah] Well-
- I've got some stories.
- [Sarah] About the tunnels?
- Yeah, tell us.
- [Sarah] Would you mind, um-
Can we just get those
quickly on camera
in just a couple of minutes?
Marco, can I just get the room?
- How long have you
lived here mate, anyway?
- Um, well, we've, we've
owned it for eight years.
- [Malik] Eight years?
- Yeah, the site.
And the site is quite big, so.
- The stories?
- [Steve] So you
wanna know some-
- Can you tell us about
the stories?
- [Sarah] Yeah, yeah.
- Um, well-
I mean, basically, I can
tell you some stories
about this place.
I know you guys are here.
I know Johnny has come up
and asked me before about
the doll mystery.
I don't know much about it,
but I do know that I've
been here for eight years
and as you can see, this has
taken eight years to get as far
as this because every time
we attempted with builders
and contractors, something
happens.
- Yeah, I'll tell you
what I can
do you,
a good deal on builders
if you want it.
You know what I mean?
I mean, eight years to get to
this is quite poor
really innit.
You know?
- Sorry, carry on.
- Well, the um, the stories are-
I mean, basically,
we've had quite a lot of
accidents and strange
things happening.
And in the back room,
voices, that kind of thing.
All the kind of paranormal
stuff.
- [Johnny] What happened?
- Well, we've had, you know,
we've had a lot of damp.
I mean, we've also had
things going missing.
A lot of the contractors
were annoyed
because things would disappear.
We've had deliveries come,
it's cost me a lot of money.
Um, and, you know, it's,
it's just that I can't-
People I can't seem to get now.
- Hey mate, this
is a nice piece.
What's this from?
- [Steve] Uh, yeah, it
um, it's done by my wife,
but if you don't mind,
that's quite valuable.
So do you-
- Oh, okay, no worries mate.
- Sorry, Steve, carry on.
- Yeah, so we've had incidents.
You know, I, I mean,
I know you got
what you guys are here for
and I know that you,
um, have come
to do this doll mystery thing.
I don't know anything
about that.
But, I know there's been, in
the past, there's been stories
of people going missing
and children used to get
in here and disappear.
But we're going back
to Victorian times
and things like that, you know.
It's all, kind of,
so many mysteries.
It all overlaps each other.
- Okay.
- [Steve] I, I'm
quite fascinated
by the ghost side of things,
but I'm not sure whether,
whether that's true.
With the, with the dolls thing.
- [Malik] Ghosts, what
kind of ghosts?
What have you seen?
- [Steve] Well, um, well I-
- It's not what made you
stop the renovations, was it?
- [Steve] Well, the
renovations, basically, because-
Let's say the-the
contractors didn't, you know-
We're over here for instance,
and we were doing
these electrics.
And every time-
- [Malik] Yeah, be
careful of that.
- [Steve] Every time we've
plastered in that area.
- [Malik] Hang on, hang on.
- [Steve] As you can
see, there's multiple-
- [Malik] Be careful,
be careful.
Don't touch it, don't touch it.
That could be alive. You
know what
I mean?
- [Steve] Every time we've
done it, we've come back
and, within a day, it's all off,
or it's just not worki-
It's just not setting,
and stuff like that.
- Can you tell us about
"Devil", like, what's this?
- [Steve] Well, I just, I
mean, I just think that's kids,
you know, you can see it's
underneath where the
plaster was.
- Kids, are you sure
it's just kids?
- [Sarah] You have a lot
of trouble with them?
- Well, we get, we-
See, the thing is, this, this
entrance is the, the kind of
official entrance.
- [Sarah] Right, okay.
- But we do have other places
that people can get in.
We can't keep 'em out.
It's such a big area.
- Just because they, I suppose,
they think it's abandoned
or not lived in, this part.
- [Steve] Well, you get,
you get a lot of, you know,
just weird people, really.
Strange people.
You get occultist and
things like that.
I mean, it's probably
some-something,
you know, they've got in here.
- Really?
- Oh, that's just
kids, isn't it?
Um, you know.
- He didn't say an optician.
He's talking about, you
know, evil people.
Not, you know-
- [Steve] But they used
to, I mean, this place was-
It goes back to the,
you know, Victorian.
Even before that, Napoleon.
And I think they had
gunpowder here.
They've probably had
accidents here.
- Yeah, I-I've noticed
that when I came in,
I could smell some gunpowder
actually.
- Yeah, and, and,
uh, they had, um,
they've obviously
had people die.
So I, I, I have had
one thing happen
with something mysterious,
which was here, in the,
in this very room.
- [Sarah] What happened?
- Where, you know, we was here.
I was in the corner
doing some stuff,
and I turned around thinking
it was my wife standing there,
and my wife was actually
outside the window.
- Well she was probably
doing that sculpture, mate.
You know what I mean?
- Well, yeah, no, it wasn't-
I know it was weird,
because when I turned around
and looked, there was
a lady standing there.
And she was quite-
You know, makeup, long hair.
And.
But, then, when I turned
back, my wife was outside.
When I turned back again,
this, this, this girl was gone.
- [Sarah] Does it put
you off wanting to finish
getting the work done?
- Well, yeah, I mean
that's 'cause I was having
to do it myself.
So at that stage a lot of
the builders weren't around
and I was in here trying
to sort some stuff out.
- But.
- Fucking bullshit.
- So it's that kind of
thing that
goes on.
I mean, what, what I
will say,
I mean,
I can show you this back
room, because the back room.
- [Sarah] Oh, that'd be great.
- [Steve] And where
the tunnels are.
- Yeah, well, hang on a minute.
Before you all go, let me just
check to see if it's okay.
I'll go, go with the
owner a minute.
Just hang on a minute,
all right?
So where are we going
then, mate?
- It's down here.
- Yep.
- [Steve] And, and the
tunnels are that way.
But I'll just show you
this room because-
- [Malik] All right.
Before you go, can I just
check these stairs a minute,
just to make sure.
'Cause, um, is there anything
up here that we need to see?
- No, not, there's
nothing up there.
- All right, well lemme
just check it, anyway,
just to see if it's okay.
- So what's through here, Steve?
- [Steve] Well, this.
- Yeah, it seems okay,
you know what I mean?
- I mean, my wife's bedroom.
But, um, it's where
everybody says-
- Are you getting this, Marco?
- It's where everybody says
they sense the things are sense.
- [Johnny] Sense?
- Well, I mean, one
of my builders said
that he saw a child-like
creep thing in there,
looking at him, watching.
And, they've heard footsteps
and voices
and things like that.
So, you know, its-
- There's nothing in here.
- Well, there's nothing
in here now.
I mean, you know, we.
These things are over
an eight year-
Remember it's over an
eight-year period
that this all has happened.
[knuckles rapping]
So, for me, it's a business
and we've lost a lot
of money on this, but.
And, I believe in bits
of it and not other bits.
Um, so, yeah I mean-
- So what are you doing
in there now, then?
- Well, we, we just at the
moment, I mean obviously,
Sarah's paid to come here
and do this, so I assume-
- Oh, she paid your
money, has she?
All right.
- Well it's a business,
isn't it, so.
- Oh. Yeah.
[Sarah sniffs]
- But I'm, I'm gonna
warn you guys,
because I say this
to all the contractors
when they come in.
I say, I'm not responsible
for anything that happens.
- No.
- We'll be fine.
- Yeah.
- And-
- [Johnny] We'll be fine.
- Well we'll be fine,
we've got Johnny.
- Well, they say that, but
they all don't believe it
and something happens.
So you are gonna be going
down to an area
that I don't even want
to go down to.
And I've been here eight years.
So whatever happens down there.
We've had, we've had
a contractor
go down
and had to change all the bulbs,
fix all the bulbs,
get 'em all done.
And he lasted five minutes,
and he came out like
white as a sheet.
And he said he saw something.
It, like, touched him, he said,
on the back of his shoulder
and grabbed him.
So.
- You got a lot of
dust down there.
I mean, that could be.
That could potentially
be [indistinct].
- So there's, there's,
there's, you know,
when you go down the
guys, just be very careful.
There's long stairs
that goes down.
It goes underneath
the kind
of area
that right into these
tunnel systems.
- That's fine, we're well lit.
The guys have got-
- Okay, I'm just
warning you now.
I mean, we've got it on
camera so I'm warning you.
So.
- [Sarah] That's fine.
- Do you know what?
- See this here?
- Do you know what, Sarah?
I think actually you could
audition him for your new show.
- Malik?
- I think you would make
a good actor actually.
- Malik, Malik, shut up.
- Yeah?
What?
- Are these?
Do you know what this-
This, this is a finger,
it's like.
- Mate, this is a
false wall, yeah?
It's a false wall, you could
have just done that now.
You know what I mean?
- [Sarah] Um-
[knuckles rapping]
- [Johnny] I didn't just
do it now, it was there.
- Yeah, but look.
[knuckles rapping]
- It looks like-
- Look at it, look at it.
- Is there one, um.
- Entrance to the-
- It's not solid, mate.
- I'm just a little bit
concerned about your
security guard,
'cause he's like,
he seems quite.
- [Malik] What?
- Well, you seem like you.
- Sorry.
- No, I just, I just think,
to be honest with you, mate.
- It's all right.
It's all right, all right.
It's all right.
- I just think
it's a little odd.
- Malik, all right.
- What you gotta remember,
is that you've paid me
for this place, and I own it.
- [Malik] Yeah, no,
I understand that.
- [Steve] If you go down
there and something happens,
I ain't coming to get you.
- No, I know.
- Simple as that.
- Well, it's all right.
- It's fine.
- I mean that's what
I'm paid for,
so don't worry about it.
- All right.
- So, I'll show you
down to the tunnel.
- Would you.
- Could we hurry this up please?
- But, I'm not going down there.
It's as simple as that.
- All right.
- [Johnny] All right, that's
fine, I didn't ask you to.
I just wanna get, I wanna
get this moving, you know.
I wanna get seeing
these tunnels.
- You might be excited now.
But, believe me, if
you go down there.
- [Johnny] Trust me,
nothing is going to stop me.
It's my passion, I love this.
- [Sarah] Malik?
- It's fucking acting,
you know what I mean?
- Malik?
- [Malik] Yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, it's all right.
I'm just checking a bit of
this, that, and the other,
you know what I mean?
So where are we going,
all right, okay.
Sorry, sorry.
- Right, um-
- Johnny, Johnny, Johnny.
Out of my way.
- Out of my way.
- The door's unlocked.
I'm not going anywhere
past this door.
- [Malik] Sorry, sorry, mate.
- Okay.
- Sorry.
- [Steve] All right?
- Hang on a minute.
- Do you want me
to take the keys?
- Hang on a minute.
- No, you guys go through
and I'm going to shut
the door behind you.
- [Malik] And I'm going to
make sure the coast is clear.
- [Sarah] Okay, um.
All right, well thank
you, Steve.
- That's okay.
- [Malik] Yeah, thanks, Steve.
Appreciate it, mate!
- Guys.
We're gonna make our
way down to the tunnels
and see what we can find there.
- Yeah, hang on a
minute, darling.
Give him a.
He's a bit delirious,
do you know what I mean?
- Norman?
Norman?
Norman?
Norman?
- [Johnny] There you go.
- Norman?
Hello.
[Norman gasps]
Listen, don't be afraid.
There's nothing to worry about.
Don't worry about the cameras,
they're with me, listen.
Listen. I need you
to listen
to me.
Norman, my name's Sarah,
and I'm a producer,
and all my friends are here.
Listen.
All these cameras,
they're with me.
We're making a program, Norman,
we're making a documentary.
We're here to talk to you
about your dolls, Norman.
We want to talk to you
about Hugo. [Malik laughs]
Come on up you get.
Now listen, I'm just gonna grab.
I'm just gonna grab a
microphone
for you.
Hang on a minute.
- Alright, mate?
You want a cup of tea?
Yeah?
- Hang on a minute.
- You want a cup of tea, yeah?
What, two sugars?
Or are you sweet enough?
- Listen, I've got
one, I've
got one.
Johnny's got one.
You remember Johnny, don't you?
You remember Johnny.
- Hey, Norman.
Do you remember me?
- Listen.
- I came to look after
you, remember?
- Yeah.
- Remember?
- There you go, Johnny's
your friend.
You met him this morning,
didn't you?
You remember Johnny, don't you?
- It's okay, it's okay.
- He knows about Hugo.
We want to just talk
to you about Hugo.
- Hugo?
- Hugo, yes!
- Hugo.
- Yes, Hugo.
- Your doll-
- I think we should make a
fucking porno actually. [laughs]
Hey, you got tits in
your mouth. [laughs]
- [Norman] Where's Hugo?
- Norman, do you talk to Hugo?
- Where's Hugo?
- Norman, Norman.
Does Hugo talk to you?
You talk to him?
- [Norman] Julie.
- Julie?
No, Julie's not here, no.
- Norman?
- Sarah?
- You took Hugo.
You took.
I, I told you he doesn't, like-
I told you, told you he
doesn't like to be handled.
- [Johnny] That's fine.
- No, no, no, no, no, no.
- Guys, don't get too close.
He's getting a bit stressed
out now, you know what I mean?
You want to-
- He's fine.
- All right, well don't fuckin'-
If he goes fuckin' mad,
don't fuckin' blame me.
- Norman, Norman, calm down.
Norman, Norman.
There is nothing to
worry about here.
- We're your friends.
You know me.
- They're bright!
- Yes, don't-
It's okay, they're just cameras.
They're just cameras, it's fine.
They're, they're with us.
- [Sarah] They're all with me.
We just want to talk
to you about Hugo.
[Norman yells]
All right, Norman.
Norman, can you talk to us?
- We're your friends,
you're fine.
- Sarah, tell me what it is.
Do you remember when I
came in for the interview
and you said that you
wanted me to do something?
I've done that and, you
know, everything's secure.
He's not dangerous anymore.
No, no, listen, listen.
He's not dangerous anymore.
So I think, you know,
you can sort
me out
with my readies, you
know what
I mean?
- Have, have you, have
you been here before?
Do you know?
- [Norman] Dreams.
- [Johnny] Dreams?
- It's my dreams.
- Are you ignoring me?
- Oh, no, hold on, hold on.
- It's in my dream,
I have a dream.
It's in my dreams?
- [Johnny] Your dreams,
tell us about your dreams.
- [Sarah] Your dreams, Norman?
- Are you getting this?
- Norman, your dreams?
- Are you guys getting this?
- [Sarah] Talk to me
about your dreams.
- [Malik] You sure
don't want
to have
a cup of tea, mate, yeah?
- Shut up.
- [Malik] Yeah, you talking
about dreams.
- Shut up.
- [Malik] It's not wet
dreams, is it, eh, huh?
- Tell us about the dreams.
- [Sarah] Norman, Norman.
- I don't know.
I don't know
- Norman, do you remember?
- I don't know, I don't
know, I don't know.
I don't know, I don't
know, I don't know.
I don't know!
- [Malik] He's getting
frustrated.
Just come away from
him, come away from him.
Come away from him,
he's getting frustrated.
Look, I know about
these situations.
I know you are a social worker,
or supposedly social worker,
But I know how to deal with
the situations, all right?
- There's no need to make
yourself so worked up.
- He knows me.
- Knows you?
- Yes.
- [Sarah] Nobody is here
to hurt you, all right?
- What, you went
around his place
and your fucking best
friends now, what?
Best friends.
- Nobody is here to hurt you.
We just want to talk to you
about Hugo, all right, okay?
- Can you tell us
about the dreams?
What did you see,
what did you see?
- I don't know, just the dream.
I just-
- [Sarah] What dream,
do you remember?
- [Norman] Here, I see-
- [Sarah] Here, here, Norman.
What about here?
- Was Hugo in the dream?
- Where's Hugo, Hugo.
I want Hugo, I want
Hugo, I want Hugo.
- Hugo, where for art thou Hugo?
Where are you Hugo?
- Hold on, hold, I got an idea.
- You've taken Hugo,
you took Hugo.
You've got Hugo.
- [Sarah] He hasn't taken Hugo.
He hasn't taken Hugo.
- If you want Hugo, we,
we can find you Hugo,
if you tell us where
the secret passage is.
There's a secret passage,
I know there is.
- [Sarah] Norman, do you
know anything about that?
- I want Hugo.
I want Hugo.
- [Johnny] You can get Hugo.
- How long are we gonna
be doing this?
- Norman, listen to me.
- Hugo!
- Listen to me.
- Hugo!
- Norman.
- Hugo?
- [Johnny] Where is Hugo?
- [Malik] Hugo, where
for art thou Hugo?
- Norman, we need you to be
very brave talking to us now.
All right?
We need you to be very
brave for us.
Can you do that, Norman?
[shrill music]
- Hang on a minute,
hang on a minute.
- No!
- [Johnny] Malik, Malik!
Get off him, Malik.
[Norman screams]
Malik!
- Norman, Norman, Norman,
Norman, Norman.
Just stand him up,
Just get
him up.
Just get him up, get him up.
Norman, Norman, Norman,
Norman, Norman.
Norman, Norman.
- You're all right, mate.
- Norman.
- You're all right.
Norman, Norman.
- You sure?
- Norman?
- You're all right, mate.
- [Sarah] Norman?
- [Johnny] Fuck!
- Norman, that's it.
Norman, he's got you.
- These two areas are
fucking trouble as well.
- All right, just
let him go
a bit.
Let him go a bit.
- You sure?
- Let him go a bit.
- You sure?
- Let him go a bit.
Let him go a bit.
- All right,
I'm not responsible.
I'm not responsible.
I'm not responsible, all right?
- [Sarah] Norman, Norman.
- Are you taking the piss?
It's what I do, mate.
This is what I do, mate.
I'm fuckin' security, that's
what she employed me for.
- [Sarah] It's all right.
- Don't know what you're
employed for.
You didn't even fuckin' steal
the fuckin' thing did you?
- All right, all right.
Just let him be a minute, okay?
- It's cause you're
a fuckin nonce.
- [Johnny] I'm a nonce?
- You're a fuckin' nonce, mate.
- [Sarah] Norman, Norman.
That's it, that's it.
All right, come on.
[Norman crying]
Come on.
- [Malik] Fucking crying, is he?
- All right, all right.
And pop these back on
for you. Come on.
- Norman, get your glasses on.
- [Sarah] There you
go, there
you are.
- Sorry about that, mate.
Sorry.
- There you go.
[Norman crying]
- There you are.
- Piss off, already.
- [Sarah] There you are.
- Piss off. [laughing]
- All right.
All right.
Okay.
- Listen, mate, you
really wanna.
- Get your hands off me?
- Watch who you talking to?
Do you know what I mean?
Just in case, you know.
- Get your hands off me.
- Let him go.
- No, he's all right.
I'm keeping him secure just
like I did with Norman there.
Do you know what I mean?
He's all right.
- [Sarah] Fuckin'
babysitting three kids here.
- Where's, where's
your, where's-
[Johnny choking]
Oh, sorry mate, sorry,
sorry about that.
- Norman.
[Johnny coughing]
- Sorry about that, mate,
he's all right.
- Do you think you might
be ready to talk to me?
- You're all right, mate.
- Norman!
[chilling music]
- Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!
[eerie music]
- I wanna talk about my
five grand, all right?
- Fuckin'.
- I think she's passing me
guys, do you know what
I mean? [laughs]
- Fucking talking
about money for
in front of people.
- What? - What are you
fucking playing at?
- What do you mean,
what do you mean?
- Listen.
- Listen.
We had an agreement, right?
When I came for the interview,
you said to me that
you wanted muscle,
which I've done for
you. I provided for you.
- You can have your fuckin'
money, but you wind
your neck in.
- Hooray, fuckin' hooray!
- You listen to me and
you listen good.
- Okay.
- Because I may not be
as stupid as my sister.
And you know why?
- Why?
- She may not know
what's going on,
but I fucking do.
- Norman.
Hey, hey, it's me.
A friend.
See, not with that nasty guy.
The nasty man, did he hit you?
He's gone.
Did he hit you?
- And she will find
out, all right?
So I suggest you take your money
and fuck off away from me.
- Do you know what I like?
In fact, do you know
what, I mean,
I've got to say that,
I didn't think of you in
that same sort of light,
but you know, you are
really turning me on.
[hand slaps]
[Malik laughing]
Is that five grand in 20s then?
- [Sarah] Fuck you!
- Bitch.
What the fuck's going on?
This fucking place!
It's fucking unbelievable.
- We gonna find Hugo, yeah?
Come on.
- We all need to split.
- Well, I think we're
going to try
and find his best friend,
aren't we?
Yeah, you wanna do that?
Where the fuck's Malik?
- Oh, fuck Malik.
- Oh, come on, come
on, let's go.
He's a cunt anyway.
Come on, come on, let's go.
We're gonna find Hugo
and you're gonna be happy
again, and you'll be fine, yeah?
Yeah, make sure you give
him some space, mate.
Right now, we are doing
this for you, okay?
We're trying to help you
find your best friend.
Your best friend.
Can you tell us-
Hold on a sec, just wait there.
Can you tell us where
is the passage way.
Where's the secret?
Do you know where it is?
You've been here before,
you've seen it before.
- Can you tell us, Norman?
- Can you?
He, he's not,
he's fuckin' useless.
He's fuckin' useless.
Come on, come on now.
- All right, Norman.
- This is.
Norman, Norman.
No, we don't-
We don't need him anyway.
Honestly.
Just leave him be.
It's a lost cause.
[footsteps tapping]
- We can't just let him go.
- It's fine.
Leave him be.
Look, babe, babe.
It's you and I now.
Yeah, just the two of us.
I think I know where
the treasure is.
Well, I assume there's treasure.
And if there is true treasure,
which I'm pretty sure
there is, we can split it.
Just you and I, yeah?
So if you come with me, just,
I need you, right, I need you.
I really do need you.
So if you come with
me, we'll
find it
and we can split it halves
or we can just do whatever.
I don't know, we'll
be fine, come on.
Yeah?
I need you, babe, come on.
- Better lead the way.
- Yeah.
Come on, let's go.
[brooding music]
Come on.
I reckon, you'd go down here.
You turn right.
That's where the secret
passage is.
It's gotta be.
That's the only place
we haven't looked.
The only place we
haven't looked.
- [Sarah] Oh, I dunno, Johnny.
- Honestly, it'll be fine.
Come on, let's go.
Trust me.
Yeah?
- I'm not feeling it.
- I'm feeling it, I know.
I've been searching this
my whole life, okay?
I know where we're going, okay?
Come on.
[brooding music]
[creature buzzing]
[shrill music]
[gong cymbal clinks]
[eerie music]
- We killed the poor bastard.
- It's much more complicated,
much more.
- Well then you better
start fucking talking to me.
- It's, it's a long, it's
a fucking long story.
Just.
Ah, okay.
- Johnny, my company
is on the line here.
- This is gonna-
- What the fuck is going on?
- This'll be good
for you, right?
It started when I
was young, right?
I remember, I was walking
to school,
and every time I walked
past this house,
this doll was always in
the window, staring at me.
It felt like I was-
As if it was drawing me in.
I felt some, something.
I can't explain what it was.
It's like, it's crazy.
I walk home and it
wouldn't be there.
Just, obviously, someone could
have just fucking moved it.
But it wasn't there anymore.
But every time I saw this girl
I'd get these, these dreams.
These, these vivid
nightmares.
It, it was here, it
was this place.
- What do you mean it was here?
- It was this place.
And I couldn't explain.
I didn't understand
what was going on.
I, I was just a child.
I had actually no idea
what was going on.
- Something's not right
about this place, Johnny.
- Yeah, you're right.
There-there's something's
wrong with it.
I.
- I just don't have
a good feeling.
- No, I get it, I know.
But.
- People died here?
- I don't know, I.
They might, they might have.
I've done research.
I, I find every library.
I've, I've been to every,
every library.
I, I've read every book.
I, I even like hacked
government files.
I found this information
online about this place.
It's...
Something happened here
as an experiment.
I, I don't know.
- What are you talking about?
What are you going on about?
You need to start making
a bit more sense, Johnny,
because this is just, this
is not what I signed up for.
This is, this is my job.
I've worked too hard
for this to fucking
all fall apart now.
- This is a real opportunity
for you, it's fine.
Honestly, right?
It's fine.
But I, I thought I
figured out what,
what this thing was, or
I think I did anyway.
I went back to the house
and I broke in.
Norman was there.
- What the hell?
- Norman was there, right?
But it was young, I was 14.
And it, it's hazy.
The doll attacked me.
It's so fucked up, it
sounds fucked up.
Seriously.
- Hugo?
- Yeah.
[Sarah sighs]
That's how I got this,
I, I broke in.
I was looking for the doll.
- I, I'm not understanding you.
- Something drew-drew
me into the doll, right?
I got in there.
I was looking for it.
Norman wasn't behind
me, Norman was upstairs.
This fuckin' doll.
I, I.
One minute he wasn't
there, next minute he was.
I don't remember
much after that.
That's all I fucking know.
- Fucking mental.
- But I went back.
That's is why I, I
went back
for him.
- Don't you think this
has all going a bit,
a bit far now?
- Yeah, it is.
But I, I need, I need
to find this place.
There's a se-
I know there's a secret
passage somewhere.
I found it online and I
found this information.
It's somewhere, it's
in this hall.
- Where?
- I, I don't fucking know.
This is why I was hoping Norman
would be able to
fucking help.
- And it wasn't in your dream?
He's the one that had-
Oh, fucking- [groans]
I don't fucking know.
I just need to find this place.
I've been looking for this
my whole fucking life.
- Be my guest.
After you.
- Where is he?
[eerie music]
[person laughing]
[footsteps tapping]
- [Hugo] Come closer.
[ominous music]
Closer!
Who's the kidnapped one, now?
Closer.
[ominous music continues]
Time to die!
[Malik screaming]
Fuck you!
[flesh squelching]
- You getting this?
Oh, my God, it's daylight.
- We're back to the start.
- It's fucking daylight,
we're at the beginning.
- [Johnny] Are you kidding me?
- Oh, for fuck's sake.
- Oh, fucking hell.
- Oh, my God.
- What?
- Look at all this stuff.
- [Johnny] What is it?
- This is that job.
That job all the builders just
down tools and fucked off.
- They must have
found the dolls.
- They knew.
Johnny, we've gotta go
back for the others.
- No, it's, it's, it's gotta be-
- Guys, we've gotta go
back for the others.
- Sarah no, it's gotta
be around here somewhere.
The entrance has to
be around here.
If they found them, it's
gotta be around here.
- What is wrong with you?
We've got to go back!
- No, fuck them.
We've already been there, we
know there's nothing in there.
- [Sarah] This is fucking
ridiculous.
- [Johnny] Fucking hell.
- Johnny.
[brooding music]
- What?
What is it?
- [Sarah] I dunno.
- [Johnny] [chuckles]
It's the devil.
- Well, what's it doing
on the wall?
- I guess the builders
put it there.
- Why?
- [Johnny] I don't know,
but let's check it out.
- [Sarah] Oh, god.
[brooding music continues]
[footsteps tapping]
- [Johnny] It's empty.
It's a fucking empty room.
What's that?
- Nothing.
I've worked too fucking
hard to lose this now.
- Ah, don't fucking make
this about you.
I've been looking-
I've been looking to do
this my whole fucking life.
I've been trying to find them.
- For fuck's sake!
What is it?
[wall thudding]
- It's hollow.
There must be a passageway
behind it.
In there.
[brooding music]
- [Sarah] I don't like
this, Johnny.
- It's fine, there's
nothing in there.
- Something's not right.
- [sniffs] Smells fucking awful.
Look at this.
It's the passageway.
We found it.
- Oh, my God, we found it.
- Come on then.
- You're coming?
- [Camera Man] Fuck
that. [laughs]
- How come no one's
ever found this before?
- It's like a maze, isn't it?
- [Sarah] It's a fucking
labyrinth.
- Yep.
[rats squeaking]
Are you coming or what?
Seriously, are you coming?
- [Sarah] I dunno about
this, Johnny.
- You're pissing me off now.
You really are.
Seriously, if you're
not gonna come,
just fucking go home.
- Look, I'm really not sure.
- Just go.
You're slowing me down.
[flies buzzing]
- [Sarah] What is it?
- It's just a fucking box.
Just a piece of wood.
[eerie music]
This is it.
- How do you know?
[Johnny screams]
[Sarah screams]
- Oh, fuck.
[suspenseful music]
I think we found it. [chuckles]
This is it.
This is the place.
- [Sarah] I hope these fuckin'
things don't come to life.
- [Johnny] Come on, there's
much more to see here.
Let's go.
- They seem so real.
Oh, wait for me.
[suspenseful music]
[Norman breathing heavily]
- Hugo!
Hugo!
[Norman breathing heavily]
[suspenseful music continues]
Hugo!
Hugo!
[Norman yells]
Hugo!
[soft eerie music]
[soft eerie music continues]
[Norman breathing heavily]
[Norman sniffs]
[ominous music]
[neck cracks]
[eerie rattling]
[ominous music continues]
[neck cracks]
[footsteps tapping]
- Welcome home,
my little Norman.
How you have grown.
Now, finally, I can
complete my spell
and send us all back so we
can take this evil with us.
- Who are you?
- [Woman] You don't remember?
- I have dreams.
- I knew you'd come.
When we got Hugo back,
all of us starting coming
alive again.
But we just needed you.
And here you are
to save us all.
- Who are you?
- I'm your mother.
[Norman gasp]
[objects creaking]
- I really don't like it.
- We've come this far,
don't give
up now.
- But I really think
we should turn back.
- No, I'm going on.
- This isn't right, Johnny.
There's something
here, it's weird.
And it's pissed off at us.
- I'm not giving up now.
If you want to, you go back.
But I'm going in this direction.
- This is all over
a fucking doll.
- This isn't just
about the doll.
This is about a mystery
that's been hidden down
here for decades.
And I'm this close to
figuring out what it is.
Nothing is gonna stop me.
[footsteps tapping]
[Sarah whimpering]
- Johnny!
[Sarah whimpering]
[brooding music]
Oh, come on, Sarah,
you can do this.
Get your shit together.
There's nothing to worry about.
- [Hugo] Oh, yes there is.
[Sarah gasping]
Fucking bitch!
[flesh squelches]
[body thuds]
[Sarah moaning]
- [Eleanor] Did I make the cut?
[Sarah crying]
[ominous music]
[Eleanor chuckles]
This is gonna sting a
little. [laughing]
- [Hugo] Get her!
[Sarah crying]
[Sarah screaming]
[object thudding]
[object creaking]
- I tried to save you.
- It was you,
in my dreams.
- Something happened to Eleanor.
He changed her.
She was the one who
read from the book.
She was the one who
summoned Hugo here.
- What's happening to me?
- You are changing.
[Norman groaning]
[body thuds]
[ominous music]
[bird squawking]
[woman humming]
[footsteps tapping]
- [Mother] How are
you progressing?
- Stage three, there are
definitely abnormalities.
We could go to stage two,
but no further than that.
- Okay.
Look at this.
[woman breathing heavily]
- Rise from the deepest,
darkest cabins of damnation.
Through me, become this
vessel, become this vessel.
Make glorious your presence
upon this household.
And shake a fear through
these walls .
Come now and be as one.
- Eleanor, what are you doing?
- Wisest death you ever lived.
Oh, mother.
- No.
No.
- It's already done.
[mannequins shattering]
- You have doomed us for
an eternity of damnation.
An eternity of hell.
- But, mother, I've already
been living in hell.
Don't you understand, mom?
He came to me and he
spoke to me. [laughing]
- He's not yet complete.
[Eleanor evil laughing]
- [Eleanor] Oh, Norman.
[laughing]
- Now we have a chance
to save everyone
and put Hugo back where
he came from.
- How?
- You must say these
words from
the book.
Say these words.
[mother speaking foreign
language]
[flesh squelches]
[doll evil laughing]
- Hello, mother, Norman's
in pain.
[footsteps tapping]
- This is it.
[shrill music]
[Norman panting]
Norman.
Norman?
What is this place, Norman?
What is the secret?
What are you, why
is there secrets?
- [Dolls] Secrets?
- Yes.
I need to know, I've been
searching for you my whole life.
Is it immortality?
- [Dolls] Immortality.
- I need to know the secrets!
- It's not a secret, Johnny.
It's a curse. [chuckles]
- [Hugo] Curse, it is.
- [Johnny] Tell me.
Tell me everything.
- [Hugo] Eleanor, my darling,
do you think he's ready
to know everything?
I don't think his tiny
little brain could take it.
- Oh, Hugo, I think he
knows way too much.
I think it's time that
we say, bye-bye, Johnny.
[Eleanor chuckling]
- No, only Norman could do that.
And he's a blabbery
pile of mush.
[Eleanor laughing]
Meet mother, by the way.
- Oh, fuck.
I, I don't understand.
The stories I've been
told are different.
- Oh, please tell, Johnny,
we're all listening.
- You and your family.
You and your family were working
on a top secret government
experiment.
But this was no ordinary
experiment.
There were no men in white
coats, no test tubes.
This was witchcraft.
The government wanted to
create a superhuman hybrid,
use mannequins as test subjects.
- [Hugo] Witchcraft.
This all sounds a little
fantastical to me,
but do go on, old boy.
As I find you most amusing.
- But something went wrong,
something unexpected,
something evil.
- Well, Johnny, we've been
rotting here for decades.
Slowly away with the rest
of the world. [giggles]
Boo. [laughs]
- [Johnny] What really happened?
- Hmm.
Um, well, you got me,
Johnny. [giggles]
I hated living in
this shit hole.
I was told that it
was top secret
and we were never allowed out.
What happened to communication
with the outside world?
Do you know what that's
like for a teenager, hmm?
I just wanted them to die.
Just something to happen
so I could go out and
play. [giggles maniacally]
But then he came. [giggles]
Well, the voice in my head,
he just told me what to do
and how to read mother's book,
and well, he come and saved
me. [giggles maniacally]
- Demon?
[soft intense music]
[Eleanor giggles uneasily]
- Well, Johnny, you see, um,
my mother was meddling with
witchcraft so powerful,
and well, it worked very well.
So I just tapped into it, and
well, Hugo was the result.
But I normally go away with Hugo
before I can even finish
and complete,
and it was only a half time.
Thank you for bringing
it back to me, Johnny.
I can finally finish what
I completed now. [giggles]
- What are you gonna do?
[intense shrill music]
- Oh, Johnny.
You don't think Hugo
is the only demon I can
summon? [giggles maniacally]
- [Hugo] That's right, my dear.
I have a very big family
and they all want
to come and play.
[Eleanor giggling]
[intense dramatic music]
- Norman, come on, get up.
Get up and do something!
- [Hugo] That's right,
Norman, always the weak link.
Just look at you, you
fucking useless tub of meat.
You fool, I'm laughing at
your superior intellect.
By Jove, I never knew
he had it
in him.
[Norman panting]
- I never knew my mother
until just now.
You took her from me,
but she taught me these
three words.
Fire and inferno.
[Eleanor shushing]
- [Hugo] Oh, shit.
[intense music]
[Johnny coughing]
- Let's get out of here.
[intense music continues]
[Norman grunting]
[Johnny coughing]
[sad music]
[Johnny coughing]
[footsteps tapping]
[Johnny coughing]
[dramatic music]
[birds chirping]
[Johnny coughing]
We're all right.
We're safe.
[dramatic music continues]
You're okay now.
- Yeah, I am.
[ominous music]
[water dripping]
[dramatic orchestral music]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
[dramatic orchestral
music continues]
