[NEWS INTRO MUSIC]
In the early morning hours,
today, federal agents from the
ATF, the DEA, and the FBI all
converged on the Beverly Hills
estate of alleged crime boss,
Jacob Hadar.
A brutal end to this
undercover operation.
Hadar, the suspected west coast
head of the Israeli Mafia,
has been under federal
investigation for over two years
for crimes ranging
from racketeering, to murder,
to trafficking in
nuclear warheads.
Reportedly, Hadar immigrated to
the Brighton Beach area of
New York at the age of fifteen,
after losing both parents to
military strikes
in the Gaza Strip.
While living in New York,
Hadar honed his talents for
numbers and extortion,
working for purported Russian
crime lord, Viktor Ivanov.
Ivanov's close ties to Russian
president and other known
ex-KGB operatives,
has kept him on the US
intelligence radar.
With the help of fellow crime
figure, Yaniv Kafni,
Hadar moved quickly
up the ranks of an offshoot
organization, calling themselves
the Israeli mob.
Establishing a west
coast presence, Hadar and Kafni
worked to create lucrative
narcotics connections
with cartel kingpin,
Guzman Alvarez.
With Alvarez's backing and his
own growing wealth
and influence, Hadar entered the
black market arms game.
Statistics indicate that
since 1997,
over twenty nuclear missiles
from the former Soviet Union
have gone loose.
Our sources indicate that Jacob
Hadar and his associates
are being implicated in their
disappearance.
[DIGITAL BEEPING NOISES]
[CAMERA RUSTLING]
AGENT JONES:
So when is Hanna due?
ELI:
In three months.
AGENT JONES:
Getting nervous?
ELI:
Having a baby, I can handle.
Getting wired makes
me nervous.
So that's your frame.
At six feet, we're seeing
about eight feet wide.
AGENT JONES: So, Eli, talk.
I want to get your audio levels.
ELI:
One, two, three.
Test. Test.
AGENT JONES: No,
say something conversational.
ELI: If they find out
I'm making movies...
they'll chop me into
little pieces.
Crystal clear.
ELI:
The better to hear my screams.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
It's totally undetectable.
They can wand you, run you
through an X-ray,
they'll never find it.
AGENT JONES:
So you can sit back and
enjoy your cavity search.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: Hey, there's
nothing to worry about.
[ELI EXHALES]
[BIRDS CHIRPING, FAINT MUSIC IS
HEARD COMING FROM INSIDE]

How you doing, Eli?
(HIP HOP MUSIC PLAYS.
THE MUTTERING OF GUESTS)
ELI:
On the stairs is
Alejandro Cortez,
the cartel's east coast guy.
The Hawaiian shirt is county
treasurer, Peter Vanguard.
HUGO: I used to watch
a lot of American television.
And one program I liked
to watch was Superman.
Hola, muchacha.
And Superman... Gracias ...
Could do anything.
He could jump, he could fly,
he could beat the bullets.
So one time, he had
stopped a bank robber.
And the bank robber shoot him.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
And the bullets
they just bounce off the chest.
Okay, listen.
So he out of bullets...
and he throw
the gun at Superman...
And Superman duck!
So remember
this about Americans....
They may be bulletproof, but...
you can always pistol whip them.
[LASER SCAN FX]
Jacob, you must be Superman.
Whoa, whoa.
What he talking about?
Tell Hugo
about you getting shot.
- Nah...
- Ah, you've been shot?
Me too. Mira.
Shot in my collarbone.
- Aww...
- Oh...Very painful.
- Tell him, Jacob.
- Well...
Don't be shy.
I suppose the bullets,
they just, pew, pew, pew!
Bouncing off the chest. Ha!
I was shot seven times.
Seven times?
You are Superman.
Ha ha ha!
Tell him the whole story.
I was ambushed.
Betrayed by a
business associate.
Well, you must be very careful
who you do business with.
So, there was
this big gun battle
and Jacob was hit and
out of ammo, and the
gutless dog who was trying to...
He wasn't gutless.
He walked up right to me
and looked me in the eye.
Oh, this is exciting.
Did you say something to him?
I did. Every time
he shot me, I said,
I fucked your mama!
Oh no! Ha Ha!
So, he walked closer and bang!
I fucked your mama!
Ooh!
Bang! I fucked your mama!
Oh ho ho...
He must've been furious.
He should've shot
you in the head.
He tried.
He stick the
muzzle to my forehead.
Click.
Out of fucking bullets!
[LAUGHING]
So I just look at him and smile.
I said, she was good!
He was so angry, he pistol
whipped me to a bloody mess.
Ah, Jacob,
you are a storyteller.
Come on, get
me another drink.
Andale pues.
What do you mean?
Just... como se es en Ingles?
You...exaggerate.
[SPEAKING IN HEBREW]
Oh... He's so dramatic.
Come on!
Let's get in the water.
Fucking slime.
Let it go.
[HIP HOP MUSIC CONTINUES]
YANIV:
Eli, how's your mother?
[LASER SCAN FX]
ELI:
Better, Yaniv, thank you.
YANIV: You must always
take care of your mother.
No one else will
love you forever.
YANIV: I set up a
meeting tonight at Remington...
JACOB: Cancel it,
bring Hugo to me.
YANIV: No, Jacob,
think about it, it's bad...
JACOB: I said cancel it!

It was a mistake to think
you could steal from me.
Do you know
who I am, mother fucker?
And come into my house,
embarrassing me
in front of a woman.
You understand me?!
AGENT JONES [VIA EARPIECE]:
Don't do anything.
I'm Hugo Vasquez!
AGENT JONES [VIA EARPIECE]:

money, and plenty of weapons.
[PHONE RINGS]
GONZALO:
I'm listening.
YANIV: Hugo's dead.
There was nothing I could do.
GONZALO:
He won't be pleased.
YANIV: I'll make it up

GONZALO:
Hadar's head.
YANIV:
That's not going to happen.
GONZALO:
We'll see.
ELI:

So are you gonna search me too?
Never know where I
might be hiding my weapons.

Oh, thank you so much.
You know I like chocolate.
ELI:
It is chocolate, for sure.
MOTHER: Good!
ELI: On the inside.
MOTHER:
Ok. Oh...
ELI:
Come on, make your wish.
MOTHER:
Oh, there are too many. I got...
That's what the problem is
getting old, there are
too many candles...

JACOB: I want to set
up a meeting with Alvarez.
YANIV:
I think we should wait.
See if he suspects something.
JACOB:
I'll tell him what happened.
YANIV:
Jacob, you murdered his cousin.
Alvarez is not the kind of...
JACOB:
He's a business man.
I did him a favor not
to let him do it himself.
YANIV: You should've consulted
him first, let him decide.
JACOB:
I decide.
YANIV: Jacob, I can't be
your advisor if you don't
at least, listen to
what I have to say.
JACOB: I pay you to advise.
You don't pay me to listen.
[PHONE RINGS]
YANIV:
Yeah.
GILLIAN:
He's not answering my calls.
YANIV:
I'm good, Gillian, how are you?
GILLIAN: Save the bullshit,
Yaniv. I need to talk to him.
YANIV: Well, first of all, you
know he doesn't use the phone.
GILLIAN: Yeah, I don't
have time for this.
YANIV: And second,
I'll tell him you called
only if you let him see the
girls.
GILLIAN:
Listen, you overpaid...
YANIV:
Gillian.
GILLIAN:
Shaggy-haired lapdog.
YANIV:
Gillian!
I'm not letting
you come over here
just to bring more
chaos into his life.
GILLIAN:
Oh yes, God forbid I come by
and disrupt some major
drug deal.
YANIV:
You know that's not what I mean.
He loves those girls.
He wants to give them all
the things he never had.
But you can't
keep using them to...
GILLIAN:
I can and I will.
Now don't think for a minute
that you have more influence
over him than I do.
YANIV: I don't and
that's the problem.
GILLIAN:
Oh, fuck off.
YANIV: Gillian, look,
I'll set up a lunch date,
bring the girls, you'll get
anything from him you want.
GILLIAN:
A week from Thursday.

ELI: I'm sorry.
I shouldn't have said that.
IDO: I shouldn't
have questioned you.
ELI:
That's okay. You're my friend.
IDO: In our business, it is
dangerous to have friends.
TRAINER:
What the fuck is wrong with you?
You're hitting like a
little bitch! Come on!
TRAINER:
Come on!
[GRUNTS AND COUGHS]
JACOB: If you ever talk to
me that way again,
I'll fuck your eyes out.
ELI: Would you want us

JACOB:
Why? He's the best.
[COUGHING AND WHIMPERING]
ELI: Jacob, what are you

[LARGE DOOR OPENS]
What's going on?
The drop-off was
running late. They just arrived.
Why are you late?
Why are you late?
One of the accounts was
short. He did not want to pay.
Who?
I've got it taken care of.
Don't let me repeat myself.
The yogurt stop in
Hollywood.
They were four thousand short.
Did you collect the money?
No.
You got one hour.
One hour to get the money here.
I snapped his arm,
Jacob! He did not have it.
Jacob, wait.
Jacob! Wait! Wait.
What the fuck?
I'll make sure all
the money's accounted for.
Have you
spoke with Alvarez?
He wants a meeting.
Tell him I will meet
him only in the state.
I know that. He's
agreed to that. He's very angry.
Bullshit.
He feels you should've
consulted him first.
Ha. Consult.
He wants compensation.
[LAUGHING]
And what did you say?
I am sorry, Senor Alvarez, but
he doesn't listen to me?
He does whatever
the fuck he wants!
I will set time and
location and tell Alvarez
I want the compensation for all
the money
his cousin stole from me.
We don't know if that's true.
I know that's true!
You think I am a crazy man who
kills people for no reason?
No.
I'll let you know when I decide
when I want to see Alvarez. Go.
Ido, stay here.
Watch yourself.
He's getting paranoid.
SHOP OWNER: All I'm thinking
about is how I want to
bang this broad, right?
But we're having this great
conversation, right?
She smiles, she winks.
So I figure this is
gonna be my lucky night.
The cab driver, he pulls up in
front of her hotel, right?
So, I start to get out of the
car and she stops me
and she says, Tony...
I've been with old guys before
and I been with broke guys
before, but they just
can't be the same guy.
If they just can't be the
same... You believe this shit?
It... It...
It can't be the same guy?
So, off she goes...
and I get to take me and my blue
balls home to spank the monkey.
Yeah.
Jacob! How you doing?
Very good.
Really good to see you.
Thank you for coming.
Listen, about our
little misunderstanding, yeah?
[FLASHBACK NOISE]
ELI'S MOTHER:
Oh, this is gorgeous. Oh my god!
ELI: You like it?
MOTHER: Yes. Oh...
HANNA:
Wait 'til you see the back yard.
MOTHER:
Oh!
[FLASHBACK NOISE]
JACOB: Are you gonna
steal from me again?
SHOP OWNER: Jacob, I didn't
steal from you...
JACOB: Are you gonna
steal from me again?!
SHOP OWNER:
Jacob! I didn't steal from you!
[FLASHBACK NOISES]
ELI'S MOTHER:
Well, when you both have some
grand kids coming to me, they're
sure gonna have fun in this
pool. Oh, I can't believe this!
HANNA:
They sure will, mom.
SHOP OWNER:
Agh!
[THUD]
IDO: Eli...
Want to give us a hand?
ELI:
Ugh!
IDO:
Bring the car around back.
[PHONE RINGS]
WONG:
Hello?
YANIV: It's Yaniv.
We're on for tonight.
WONG: I don't like this,
Yaniv. I don't like any of it.
YANIV:
Look, you have two options.
You make a deal with Jacob
or you take your
ass back to China.
WONG: You know this is bullshit.
I've dealt with his kind before.
Nothing but leeches.
They suck the life right out.
YANIV: I don't want to
hear it. Are we on or not?
WONG:
Yeah.
YANIV:
Same old, you know, they're
getting squeezed by vice for
capacity issues,
underage, drugs.
JACOB:
What was the numbers again?
YANIV: They claim it to be
on a forty percent margin.
I think it's over sixty.
JACOB:
Will this be easy?
YANIV:
Should be.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
[CLUB MUSIC AND CHATTER]
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
AGENT JONES: Okay, fun
time is over. Where's Hadar?
WONG: Mr. Hadar,
I apologize for the wait.
[DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES]
WONG: Why are you
late? Apologize to Mr. Hadar.
CHEN: I'm trying to run
a goddamn nightclub.
[IN MANDARIN]
[IN MANDARIN]
CHEN: I apologize.
I didn't mean any disrespect.
JACOB:
We're all busy men.
Let's get to the point.
You're having trouble
with certain legal elements.
I can make that go away.
WONG: If you could
get LAPD off our back,
we're willing to pay for that.
CHEN: Why can't we
pay the cops ourselves?
Why do we need you
as our middle man?
WONG:
Chen.
JACOB: If you go to
the police and offer them money,
they will throw you in jail.
Our relationship more complex.
CHEN: So, how much
are we talking about?
YANIV:
As I explained to Mr. Wong,
We're not here asking for money.
We're expecting to
develop a relationship.
Mr. Hadar owns many
establishments...
CHEN:
You want a piece of our club.
YANIV:
A partnership with Mr. Hadar
would be in best interest
to all concerned.
CHEN: Why the hell
did you not tell me?
WONG:
I did tell you.
You're just
hearing what you want to hear.
JACOB:
Let me make this clear.
If you don't agree to my terms,
the doors in this place
will be shut in a week.
WONG:
Chen, if we get fined again,
They'll take our liquor license.
WONG:
Yaniv and I, we discussed a...
30 percent interest in the club.
CHEN:
God damn it.
JACOB:
Fifty percent.
CHEN:
You son of a bitch.
Okay? What... What the fuck?
WONG:
Sit down. Sit down.
CHEN:
What are you gonna do?
WONG: Mr. Hadar, please.
CHEN: What're you gonna do?
WONG: Please reconsider.
CHEN: Shoot me in my own
CHEN:
fucking club?!
WONG: We... We've poured
our souls in this club.
Please reconsider.
Mr. Hadar, please.
CHEN [IN MANDARIN]:
You bastard! Crook!
WONG:
Sit down.
CHEN [IN MANDARIN]:
You wanna kill me?
WONG:
Forty percent.
Forty percent,
we'll agree to that right now.
CHEN [IN MANDARIN]:
Go ahead. Do it.
CHEN: Go ahead and
fucking shoot me!
WONG:
Chen!
JACOB: Paperwork will be drawn
up for fifty percent partnership
It'll be greater
if there's any delays.
JACOB:
Never damn God.
How do you expect to
receive a blessing?
[THUD]
JACOB: Why would you negotiate
a deal for thirty percent?
YANIV:
I never told him that.
JACOB: He came up
with this himself?
YANIV: I told him a
partnership with us would
eliminate their problems.
JACOB: Your lack of clarity
made me appear weak.
Don't let this happen again.
YANIV:
I'm sorry, Jacob.
JACOB:
Driver, take us to Bel Air.
JACOB:
Join me and Yaniv for dessert.
ELI:
Yes, Jacob.
YANIV:
You sure you don't want a dog?
ELI:
No, thanks.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
YANIV: Eli, lighten up.
We're not around Jacob now.
Darth Vader isn't here
to fuck up your day.
ELI:
Do you think Jacob is evil?
YANIV:
No. No, I don't and I
shouldn't have said that.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
YANIV: Feds would have a field
day, seeing you and I talking
together, they'd think we're
masterminding some kind of coup.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
ELI: If you don't mind me
asking, why are we here?
YANIV: I just wanted to talk
alone, away from all the drama.
YANIV: You know Jacob and I
have been having some problems.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
ELI: Yeah, there's
been some tension.
YANIV: Tension? We're about to
tear each other's throats out.
YANIV:
It's just growing pains, really.
We don't see eye to eye on
the future and that's okay.
It's all, ultimately,
for the best.
ELI: I'm not sure what
you're trying to tell me, Yaniv.
YANIV: Jacob and I are
going our separate ways.
That's what the
get-together tonight is for.
He's giving me full control
of west coast operations.
Total autonomy.
I get to call all the shots.
YANIV:
I get to deal with
the Alvarez fallout.
ELI: Yaniv, I'm still not
understanding why...
YANIV:
I'm here, offering you a job.
More money, less headaches.
I been watching you, Eli.
You're calm, cool, not a
liability waiting to happen.
ELI:
Thank you.
YANIV:
In this business,
sometimes people need to
disappear.
It is what it is.
You just have to make
sure it's the right people.
YANIV:
You have to make sure business
always comes before emotions.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
ELI: I agree, but do you
think Jacob will go for it?
Me leaving him?
YANIV: I think so.
I'm still like a brother to him.
He's gonna want me
shadowed by someone he trusts.
YANIV: That's the best
fucking dog ever.
You sure you don't want one?
ELI:
Thanks, I'm good.
[JACOB LAUGHING]
JACOB: Eli, come have
a seat with us, Eli.
JACOB: We were discussing
just the weather.
ELI:
The weather?
JACOB: Yeah. 'Cause our entire
day influenced by the weather.
What to do, how to do it.
ELI:
That's true.
JACOB:
If we were in New York
now, we wouldn't have a
lovely treat outside,
under the stars.
IDO:
Four degrees Celsius today.
Six inches of rain.
JACOB: Exactly. Makes me
uncomfortable thinking about it.
Eli grew up
in New York, yeah?
ELI: Yeah, until I was
in high school.
JACOB:
It was too cold over there?
ELI:
No. Too hot.
I remember dripping with sweat,
just walking between classes.
They used to
call me the waterfall.
JACOB: When I first came to
US, it was the dead of winter.
I used to wear
short pants in snow
and people would
stare and laugh at me.
IDO:
Because you were crazy.
JACOB: It wasn't that cold.
I know cold.
In Istanbul, when you
cry, your eyes freeze shut.
[IN HEBREW]
IDO:
Only the weather.
YANIV:
I don't get it.
JACOB: Yaniv, how long
have we been together?
YANIV:
Almost fifteen years.
JACOB: When I first arrive in
US, you took care of me.
YANIV:
Ever since we met, we been
[IN HEBREW]
best friends.
JACOB [IN HEBREW]:
Best friends.
JACOB: And why did
we move to California?
YANIV:
Better business opportunities.
JACOB:
No, you don't remember?
YANIV: I thought it was for
better business opportunities.
JACOB:
It was the weather!
[LAUGHING]
YANIV: That's right, we were
tired of freezing our ass off.
JACOB: It was consistency!
It was consistency!
JACOB:
You betrayed me.
JACOB: Ido is my new advisor.
And you're my lieutenant.
Take care of this.
IDO:
Hugo.
ELI: I can't believe it.
Yaniv and Hugo.
IDO: They had a
side deal moving ecstasy.
Jacob knew but he didn't mind.
ELI:
Then why did he kill him?
IDO: Hugo began selling
information to the Feds.
ELI: You think Yaniv was
talking to the Feds, as well?
IDO: He had been acting
strange lately, making mistakes.
Mistakes are always a sign.
ELI:
Ah, God.
[GRUNTING]
[THUD]
ELI: Why do you think
Yaniv would betray Jacob?
IDO:
We'll not talk about this again.
IDO:
It's done.
JACOB:
Loyalty is a difficult creature.
Cannot be bought 'cause
everyone has a price.
Can't be threatened.
Some do not value life.
JACOB:
Loyalty comes only from love.
Unfortunately,
not everyone has a heart.
AGENT JONES: I thought that's
what it is. All about action?
HANNA:
Everyone's gone.
ELI:
Babe, no more video, please.
HANNA: This may be the last
time I see you guys
In I don't know how long...
AGENT JONES: Ah, shouldn't
be more than a year or two.
HANNA:
You serious?
ELI: It's nothing close
to that. I promise you.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Oh, I don't know.
I know a case where an
agent was under for six years.
ELI:
Seriously?
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Yeah, seriously
and it was a mob case, too.
AGENT JONES:
Serious or not
we don't want to hear about it.
HANNA:
Thank you.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: I'm
just trying to make a point.
You never know about these
ELI:
Thank you, I know.
AGENT JONES:
See how lucky you are, Ron?
You just have to live
with Hadar - I gotta.
spend every waking moment
with Mary Sunshine over here.
ELI:
You're worse than Hadar.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: She loves
me. She really does.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: t's all a cover
AGENT JONES: Yeah, yeah.
AGENT JONES:
Oh yeah.
HANNA: Hey, I want both off
you to look at the camera
and promise me that
you'll take care of him.
AGENT JONES:
No, he can take care of himself.
HANNA:
Guys, I'm serious.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Oh...
AGENT JONES:
Okay.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
We | ll take care of
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: little Ronnie!
AGENT JONES: Promise to take
AGENT JONES: care of
little Ronnie. Yes, we will.
ELI:
See what you've done?
HANNA: No, you guys
take care of big Ronnie.
I intend to take care of
little Ronnie, myself,
as soon as I can
get you two out of here.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Oh, okay.
ELI:
You heard the lady.
AGENT JONES: Yes, we did.
ELI: Party's over.
AGENT JONES:
Okay. Well,
You know, I should go
home anyway...
see what kinda damage
the kids did. The boys.
ELI:
Alright, I'll walk you out.
HANNA:
Love you guys.
AGENT JONES: I love you.
HANNA: Be careful.
AGENT JONES:
Careful's not in the handbook.
HANNA:
Say hello to Jeffrey for me.
AGENT JONES:
I will.
ELI:
Ready. Thanks for coming.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Oooh...
Hey, everything's gonna be okay.
He's the best
agent I've ever known.
Everyone talks about saving the
world. He can actually do it.
Okay.
HANNA:
Thank you.
[STRING MUSIC]
GONZALO:
Who are you?
IDO:
I represent Mr. Jacob Hadar.
[LASER SCAN FX]
GONZALO:
Where's Yaniv?
IDO: I will be speaking
for Mr. Hadar now.
GONZALO: Listen, holmes, you
may drop the right names,
but I only speak
to the man I know.
IDO:
I'd be very careful.
Disrespecting me is same
as disrespecting Mr. Hadar.
GONZALO:
Fuck you, esai.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
GONZALO:
You and that pinche puto, Hadar.
The only reason I'm here
is to talk settlement.
What do you have to offer?
IDO: We offer the opportunity to
continue to run your business
in our territory.
[LAUGHTER]
GONZALO [IN SPANISH]:
Your territory?
GONZALO:
Man, you're a joke.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
GONZALO:
Listen...You have Yaniv
come talk to me or this
is all gonna end very badly.
IDO: I wish you would
reconsider your position.
GONZALO: Holmes,
get the fuck out of here.
ELI:
Let's go.
IDO:
We need to kill them all.
ELI:
Ido, you're an advisor now.
You can't let emotion
get in the way of business.
IDO:
You're right.
ELI:
There's lots of activity today.
An increase in security,
in case Alvarez tries anything.
I'll see if I can find out more.
IDO:
Talking to yourself?
ELI:
I was trying to remember a poem.
A Man In His Life, by Amichai.
IDO:
That's one of Jacob's favorites.
ELI: I was going to recite it
for him at his birthday party.
IDO:
He'd like that.
JACOB:
Eli!
ELI:
Excuse me.
IDO:
Be sure to recite
the poem in Hebrew.
It'll be disrespectful
to say it in English.
[SECURITY ALARM SOUNDS]
AGENT JONES:
Ron, what's happening?
IDO:
Did you see anything?
ELI:
No.
IDO:
Fuck.
IDO:
Did you look everywhere?
ELI:
I did.
JACOB:
Alvarez?
IDO:
We don't know.
JACOB:
How many of them?
IDO:
We're not sure yet. A motion
detector was activated.
Jacob, what are you doing?
JACOB:
Protecting myself.
Get out of the fucking way!
IDO:
Jacob, please!
ELI:
Jacob, you can't go out there.
SECURITY MAN:
Section one is clear.
Section one is clear.
IDO:
Jacob!
ELI: This is Eli.
I need a status report now.
SECURITY MAN: Sections
one, two, and three
have all been cleared.
ELI:
Copy that.
IDO: This is Ido!
Take them alive!
SECURITY MAN: We | re all
converging on sector four!
IDO:
How many?
SECURITY MAN:
Just one, a kid!
He's down. He's down.
IDO:
Keep looking, sweep the house.
Make sure there's no
others.
IDO:
Jacob.
JACOB:
Why are you here?
YOUNG GANGSTER:
Fuck you.
JACOB:
Do you know who I am?
YOUNG GANGSTER:
Yeah, you that mobster dude.
JACOB:
What you think I do to someone
break into my house?
YOUNG GANGSTER: Don | t matter,
homie. Had to do it.
JACOB:
Had to do it?
YOUNG GANGSTER:
West Side Pimps, homie.
JACOB:
What you say now, homie?
SECURITY MAN: Careful, Jacob,
he's gonna piss his pants.
YOUNG GANGSTER:
Fuck you, homie!
JACOB:
What you say now?
YOUNG GANGSTER:
West Side Pimps.
SECURITY MAN:
He's not afraid of you, Jacob.
You just gonna take that?
JACOB:
No.
[GUNSHOT AND
SCREAMING]
JACOB: If he was
one of the Alvarez guys
I could be dead now!
Take him to doctor.
IDO:
What about the kid?
JACOB:
Has a heart.
He can either work for
me or put a bullet in his head.
YOUNG GANGSTER:
It ain't nothing, man!
I'll work for him!
I'll work for him.
AGENT JONES:
Ron, you're losing batteries.
We're breaking up. Ron...
HANNA: When people do
these kind of things in movies,
it always seems
so stupid. But anyways...
Hi, I'm sure you've
already heard the news
through proper channels that
we're having a baby. And I
wanted to make you this video.
They still call this video,
don't they? Well, I wanted to
make you this so that you can
share the whole experience with
me, 'cause even if you can't be
here, I'm so excited.
I sure hope you are, too.
You're gonna be such a wonderful
father. I can see it now.
You going to all the little
league games, or dance recitals,
or whatever it may be.
It's gonna be so much fun.
Ah... so be careful.
I know I'm not meant
to say that but be careful
and I promise I'll
do everything the doctor says.
Well, that's all I've got.
I love you. Bye.
IDO:
Put that over there.
IDO:
Where's Jacob?
ELI:
Still in his study.
IDO: Then why are
you here? Never leave him.
ELI: I didn't want to talk
over the radio. I'm concerned.
IDO: He doesn't pay
you to be concerned.
Get back to the door
and don't leave him again.
[YELLING IN HEBREW]
ELI:
Jacob?
ELI:
Jacob?
ELI:
Jacob?
[NOISES FROM BEHIND]
WOMAN:
Uh... Ah!
JACOB:
Eli, come join me.
ELI: No, sir.
I heard sounds and I thought...
JACOB:
Well, get the fuck out!
BIRTHDAY GUESTS:
Happy birthday!
JACOB:
Thank you for coming, thank you.
BIRTHDAY GUESTS:
Happy birthday.
JACOB:
Thank you for coming.
Thank you, thank you. Thank you.
WOMAN 1:
Happy birthday, Jacob.
JACOB:
Thank you.
WOMAN 2:
Happy birthday, handsome.
JACOB: Thank you.
Thank you for coming.
[PIANO MUSIC]
GROUP:
Happy birthday!
JACOB: Eli! Look at me, Eli!
Look, it's me, Eli! Hahaha!
OLD POLITICIAN:
Happy birthday.
JACOB:
Thank you for coming. Thank you.
YOUNG LADY:
Happy birthday.
JACOB: Thank you.
OLD POLITICIAN: Wonderful party.
JACOB: I'm a...
I'm glad you approve it.
OLD POLITICIAN:
Oh, but there are some things
I don't approve of, huh?
We'll talk later.
JACOB: I'm glad your
granddaughter could make it.
OLD POLITICIAN: I see that age
doesn | t necessarily
bring wisdom.
JACOB: Vodka!
Give me the bottle, please.
IDO: Jacob. People
have been looking for you.
Mr. Ivanov is here.
JACOB:
Fuck him.
IDO: Please, Jacob, he could be
very helpful to us with Alvarez.
JACOB:
I'm tired of being monkey.
JACOB:
Viktor.
IVANOV [IN RUSSIAN]:
Jacob. Happy birthday!
JACOB [IN RUSSIAN]: Thank you
for coming.
Thank you for coming. Thank you
for coming.
[LASER SCAN FX]
IVANOV [IN RUSSIAN]:
You remember Sergei?
JACOB:
Of course.
[IN RUSSIAN]
It's good to see you.
[LASER SCAN FX]
JACOB: Let's go join
the party, guys. Let's go.
[HEBREW BLESSING]
GROUP:
Amen. Amen.
JACOB:
Enjoy the party, guys.
IVANOV:
Thank you, Jacob.
So let's eat.
PARTY GUEST 2: I didn | t
know he played the piano.
PARTY GUEST 3:
Only for about a year,
but I heard he studied
with all the best teachers.
SINGER:
I don't care what people say.
I'm gonna love him anyway.
SINGER:
I don't care what people say.
I'm gonna love him anyway.
GUEST:
That performance probably
cost him a hundred grand.
AGENT JONES (OS): Actually,
it's probably a loan out.
She's into the Italian mob
for half a mill. Gambling.
SINGER:
Well, he may not be tall,
but my man, he ain't small,
and he talks all the time.
I can't get in a line.
They say...
What does she see?
If they knew
they'd wish they were me.
They say he's not your type.
Well it's not
about who you like.
'Cause that man...
he is mine.
That man, he
is... mine!
Happy birthday.
JACOB:
Thank you.
JACOB: Go sit down, Eli,
I'm talking to the young lady.
Go.
JACOB: What're you doing
with that old pervert?
I can give you everything.
YOUNG LADY:
Please, let go.
Please. Mr. Hadar.
OLD POLITICIAN: You don't want
me for an enemy, Hadar.
JACOB:
Go fuck yourself.
IDO: What happened?
What's going on?
JACOB:
We're having a party.
IDO: Jacob... You're
embarrassing yourself. Relax.
JACOB:
Embarrassing myself?
Touch me again,
I'll fucking kill you!
Everyone came
to watch the monkey.
IDO:
Let's go inside.
JACOB:
Watch the monkey play! Sing!
JACOB:
Watch the monkey!
IDO:
Jacob. Jacob!
JACOB:
Watch the monkey!
JACOB:
Everyone came
to watch the monkey!
JACOB: Everyone comes
to watch the monkey!
Everyone came
to watch the monkey!
IDO:
Take him inside!
JACOB:
Everybody!
Take...take your
IDO: Take him!
JACOB: fucking hands off me!
JACOB: I'll kill you fucking
all! I'll kill you all!
IDO: Relax. Please continue.
JACOB: Take your fucking
JACOB:
hands off me!
IDO: I apologize. Please...
JACOB: Get your
IDO: please continue to enjoy
JACOB: fucking hands off me!
IDO: yourselves.
IDO:
Jacob?
We need to talk.
JACOB [IN HEBREW]:
Come in.
IDO:
Everyone is gone.
Is there anything else you need?
JACOB:
Are you ashamed of me?
IDO:
No. I'm proud of you.
JACOB:
Why?
IDO: You came from nothing, like
me, and now you are an empire.
JACOB:
Empire. Empire?
Is that what it is, Eli? Empire?
ELI: It is what you
say it is, Jacob.
JACOB:
Loyalty.
Without it, we're nothing.
Tomorrow, we're gonna teach
Alvarez the meaning of loyalty.
Go, I want to be alone.
Go!
IDO:
Come.
IDO: If he leaves this room,
I want to know.
ELI:
You got it.
ELI:
I'm afraid.
AGENT JONES:
It's okay.
When you find the connection
to the nukes, you're out.
ELI:
I'm not sure I can do it.
AGENT JONES:
Ron, you can.
You're gonna be a dad soon.
Do it for your son.
[SNIFFLING]
[FLASHBACK SOUND]
HANNA: What do you think?
Not quite a size two anymore.
Look what you've done to me.
No.
I like my baby bump.
Uhh! I wish
you were here so you can run to
the store in the middle of the
night
and get me graham crackers.
Yeah, graham
crackers. No explanation.
So, I started to taper
off my seizure meds.
So far, so good.
The doctor says I have to
reduce the medicine in my blood
before I deliver or it could
have adverse effects on
the baby, but by reducing
my meds, I could...
Well, you get the picture. I'm
sure everything's gonna be fine.
Plus, by the time
you see this video, you...
I would've had the baby
and you'd know the results.
Well... I have to be in bed
rest, so let me get back to it.
I can't wait to sit and eat
popcorn or graham crackers
and watch these videos with you.
Okay. Until the next episode.
JACOB:
We're both business men.
IDO: I understand this
but I still don't trust him.
JACOB: Together, we generate
over a billion dollars a year.
His greed is
stronger than his pride.
IDO: That may be, but you
still have to carry this.
Please carry the gun, Jacob.
JACOB:
We have enough guns.
IDO:
They're already here.
JACOB:
Fuck these games.
IDO:
Jacob, wait.
JACOB: Alvarez!
You want to talk? Let's talk.
JACOB: Alvarez, I'm here! You
want to shoot me? Shoot me!
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
[LASER SCAN FX]
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
ALVAREZ: Now why would
I want to shoot you, Jacob?
JACOB: There are rumors
you're unhappy about my decision
ALVAREZ: You are correct. That
decision was not yours to make.
JACOB: When someone steals
from me, I have the right to...
ALVAREZ:
You have no right!
You took blood from my blood.
ALVAREZ:
I want ten million dollars.
JACOB:
Ten million dollars.
ALVAREZ: We have a mutually
beneficial arrangement.
One that has made
both of us very rich men.
But I'll cut off all of
your heads if you think
for a second you
control that arrangement.
JACOB: You think your guns
bigger than my guns?
ALVAREZ:
No.
ALVAREZ: I think I
have more of them.
JACOB [IN HEBREW]:
Coward.
JACOB: Do you really want
to go to war with me?
ALVAREZ: War? My friend,
this is a massacre.
JACOB:
I'm not your friend.
ELI:
Send backup. Send backup!
AGENT JONES: Negative. It could
jeopardize the operation.
SERGEI [IN RUSSIAN]:
What's the problem?
JACOB: Perhaps we should
resolve this another way.
ALVAREZ:
What do you have in mind?
JACOB:
You and me, mano a mano.
ALVAREZ:
You are something.
No.
I pay others
to dirty their suits.
JACOB:
Like this piece of shit?
IDO: Senor Alvarez, it is
obvious that neither of us
will gain from a blood bath.
Let's be
reasonable and come to...
[IN HEBREW]
JACOB: For ten million dollars,
I'll kill this piece of shit.
or he kills me.
IDO [IN HEBREW]:
Jacob, don't be stupid.
[IN HEBREW]
JACOB: What do you say?
It's your decision.
[IN SPANISH]:
[SHOUTING IN RUSSIAN, SPANISH,
AND HEBREW]
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
MOUNTAIN:
Ugh... aagh... ugh...
JACOB [SPEAKING HEBREW]:
We are settled.
ALVAREZ: I guess your
debt is paid off.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICK]
ALVAREZ:
We had a deal!
JACOB:
I'm altering the deal.
[GUNSHOT]
[GUNFIRE, SHOUTING]
IDO: It's okay,
we'll get you out of here.
JACOB:
Haha! I killed him!
I killed those mother fuckers!
[GUNFIRE CONTINUES]
[LAUGHTER]
[GUNSHOT]
ELI:
Ido, hurry.
IDO: Hurry where?
ELI: To a hospital!
DANIEL:
Help me, Eli. Help me.
IDO: We can't just pull up to a
hospital and check him in.
ELI: We'll leave him out front.
If we don't, he's going to die.
DANIEL: Eli, I don't want to
die. I have children.
ELI: You're going to be okay,
Daniel, it's going to be okay.
DANIEL: My boy is nine. He...
He's nine years old.
He likes soccer.
ELI:
Just relax, Daniel.
DANIEL: He's not very good.
But he tries really hard.
ELI:
I'm sure he does fine.
DANIEL:
He... He tries...
ELI:
Daniel. Daniel!
ELI: God damn it! Let me out!
Let me out! Let me the fuck out!
ELI:
Fuck you. Fuck you.
Fuck you! Fuck you!
Fuck your operation!
Jeopardize the operation.
You don't fucking
get it, do you?
You don't fucking get it.
No matter who we bust,
no matter who gets killed,
there is always
somebody to replace them!
ELI: I've dedicated
all my life for this. For what?
You think you can stop this?
You think you can stop evil?
It's a fucking fantasy.
It's a fucking fantasy.
ELI: I know what's real.
I'll tell you what's real.
My wife. My wife is real.
My mother, my son,
my unborn baby boy.
That's fucking real.
That's the only thing
that's fucking real.
ELI:
What now? Huh? What's next?
I put a smile on my
face and go bury the guys
that I've been living
with for the last fucking year?
Go bury their bodies in the...
...in the field like
we did with Yaniv's? Fuck you.
ELI: I don't know who the
good guys are anymore.
ELI: I sure am not one of...
I sure am not...
ELI: I stood by and
watched people burn.
I stood by and watch
people burn, man.
Even if it's for a greater good,
what does that make me?
What does that make me?
[KNOCKING ON DOOR]
IDO:
Eli, we have to go!
ELI:
Yeah. I'll be right out.
I'll be right out.
IVANOV:
So, story has happy ending.
[LAUGHTER]
I wish I could have been there.
Must have been joy to put bullet
in that mother fucker's face.
JACOB:
It was a waste of lead.
I wanted to do it
with my bare hand.
IVANOV: No. You keep those hands
healthy for counting money, huh?
JACOB:
I can do that, too.
IVANOV: To the beginning of a
long, prosperous relationship.
[IN RUSSIAN]
To our health.
GROUP [IN RUSSIAN]:
To our health.
[PHONE RINGING]
NOVIKOV [IN RUSSIAN]:
What?
[LASER SCAN FX]
NOVIKOV: [IN RUSSIAN]
Alright, I'll meet you.
NOVIKOV:
Gentlemen, Mr. Hadar,
please excuse me. I need to take
care of some pressing business.
I hope to be
back before you leave.
SERGEI: Something
concerns me, Mr. Hadar.
Are you ready for cartel's
retaliation?
IVANOV: Sergei, tonight, we
speak only of victories.
SERGEI: I'm just worried
we're being drawn into a war
we want no part of.
IDO: We are prepared to
deal with any retaliation.
SERGEI:
Are you? Then why did you need
our assistance to begin with?
IVANOV: I offered to give help,
as gesture of solidarity.
SERGEI:
With respect to Mr. Hadar,
What do they offer us?
JACOB: I understand and
appreciate Sergei's concern.
You are a very
powerful man, Mr. Ivanov.
You're the head of a
Fortune 500 company.
You control a large portion of
your country's banking industry.
You have the ability to
affect on the world economy.
And I don't even
know why you influence
professional sport league.
IVANOV:
It is all money, Jacob.
JACOB:
All these accomplishments,
they are beyond
the vision of most men.
JACOB:
And I salute you.
But they are not beyond mine.
There are many
frontiers still to conquer.
I imagine a future where water,
power, information, is all
under our control.
JACOB: The governments
will answer to us.
There will be no poverty,
no war,
unless we wish it so.
IVANOV:
That is very big vision, friend.
JACOB:
Perhaps. But possible.
As a boy, my only
desire was water and food.
JACOB:
Shoes to cover my bare feet.
JACOB: As a young man, I wanted
power and all of its many toys.
I have accomplished all that
and I realized what
I really want to be.
JACOB:
Remembered.
Not for years like
some fading movie star.
Forever.
Like the Gods.
IVANOV: Do you think
you're a God, Jacob?
JACOB:
No. I'm merely a man.
But when we are through,
others will perceive us as Gods.
IVANOV [IN RUSSIAN]:
Goodbye, Jacob.
[IN RUSSIAN]
[IN RUSSIAN]
IVANOV:
Then that is for Jacob.
JACOB:
What's this?
IVANOV:
Consider it a gift.
JACOB:
Let's go.
AGENT JONES: You have to find
out what was in that envelope.
ELI:
I will.
AGENT JONES: Intel believes
Ivanov is the nuclear source.
ELI:
Why, because he's Russian?
[KNOCKING ON DOOR OVER RADIO]
ELI:
What was that?
AGENT JONES:
Someone banging on the van.
Standby.
SECURITY MAN (OS):
Go ahead, talk to him!
AGENT JONES:
What are you talking about?
There's no one.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: Hey, I don't
know who you guys are but...
[GUNSHOT]
SECURITY MAN:
Tell him we know.
AGENT JONES:
Ron, get out. Get out!
[GUNSHOT]
SECURITY MAN: We are
coming for you, you rat bastard.
ELI:
Stay cool, stay cool.
ELI: Hey.
GUARD:
How you doing, Eli?
IDO: Patrol Three ambushed
a couple feds.
Why aren | t you with Jacob?
ELI: I thought I heard a
scuffle in the hallway.
Are there anymore of them? We
should do a sweep of the entire
compound, right now. Let's go.
IDO:
You were my brother!
ELI: Ido, what are you
doing?
Ido, lower the gun!
Ido, what is this?
[THUD]
GUARD: Is he a fed?
IDO:
Tie him up.
[FLASHBACK NOISE]
HANNA:
Well, we're getting close.
Any day now and
you're gonna be a daddy.
So, I guess this
is the season finale.
I wanted to tell you
that I understand.
If anything goes wrong
for me, with the delivery,
I wanted you to know that I
believe in what you're doing.
I know I haven't said
that to you in a while.
But this last year
has been so hard and
you've always been there to take
care of me. But I've managed.
And I realize
how hard it must be on you.
But what you're doing is so much
bigger than the both of us.
You're making this world a
better place for everyone.
So, no matter
what happens...
I want you to know I
think you're a hero.
Our son is going
to be so proud of you.
I'm so proud of you.
I love you, Ronnie.
From the bottom of my heart.
I love you.
JACOB:
Welcome, my friend.
Ivanov was wise
to increase security.
One musor
can ruin the entire party.
When I killed Yaniv,
part of me also died.
The part that believed
loyalty was possible.
JACOB: That was my brother
and he betrayed me.
Yaniv died from greed.
An affliction that affects
all men.
And you...
JACOB:
You're gonna die for a cause.
Trying to rid
the world of bad men.
It can't happen. See?
Your cause, like all causes,
are meant for
the mind of young boys
who don't know any better.
When you die,
no one will remember.
[GUNSHOT]
IDO:
Jacob had a great vision.
ELI: Ido.
IDO: He was out of control.
ELI: Please. Untie me

In the early morning hours,
today, federal agents from the
ATF, the DEA, and the FBI all
converged on the Beverly Hills
estate of alleged crime boss,
Jacob Hadar.
A brutal end to this
undercover operation.
Hadar, the suspected west coast
head of the Israeli Mafia,
has been under federal
investigation for over two years
for crimes ranging
from racketeering, to murder,
to trafficking in
nuclear warheads.
Reportedly, Hadar immigrated to
the Brighton Beach area of
New York at the age of fifteen,
after losing both parents to
military strikes
in the Gaza Strip.
While living in New York,
Hadar honed his talents for
numbers and extortion,
working for purported Russian
crime lord, Viktor Ivanov.
Ivanov's close ties to Russian
president and other known
ex-KGB operatives,
has kept him on the US
intelligence radar.
With the help of fellow crime
figure, Yaniv Kafni,
Hadar moved quickly
up the ranks of an offshoot
organization, calling themselves
the Israeli mob.
Establishing a west
coast presence, Hadar and Kafni
worked to create lucrative
narcotics connections
with cartel kingpin,
Guzman Alvarez.
With Alvarez's backing and his
own growing wealth
and influence, Hadar entered the
black market arms game.
Statistics indicate that
since 1997,
over twenty nuclear missiles
from the former Soviet Union
have gone loose.
Our sources indicate that Jacob
Hadar and his associates
are being implicated in their
disappearance.

AGENT JONES:
So when is Hanna due?
ELI:
In three months.
AGENT JONES:
Getting nervous?
ELI:
Having a baby, I can handle.
Getting wired makes
me nervous.
So that's your frame.
At six feet, we're seeing
about eight feet wide.
AGENT JONES: So, Eli, talk.
I want to get your audio levels.
ELI:
One, two, three.
Test. Test.
AGENT JONES: No,
say something conversational.
ELI: If they find out
I'm making movies...
they'll chop me into
little pieces.
Crystal clear.
ELI:
The better to hear my screams.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
It's totally undetectable.
They can wand you, run you
through an X-ray,
they'll never find it.
AGENT JONES:
So you can sit back and
enjoy your cavity search.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: Hey, there's
nothing to worry about.

THE MUTTERING OF GUESTS)
ELI:
On the stairs is
Alejandro Cortez,
the cartel's east coast guy.
The Hawaiian shirt is county
treasurer, Peter Vanguard.
HUGO: I used to watch
a lot of American television.
And one program I liked
to watch was Superman.
Hola, muchacha.
And Superman... Gracias ...
Could do anything.
He could jump, he could fly,
he could beat the bullets.
So one time, he had
stopped a bank robber.
And the bank robber shoot him.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
And the bullets
they just bounce off the chest.
Okay, listen.
So he out of bullets...
and he throw
the gun at Superman...
And Superman duck!
So remember
this about Americans....
They may be bulletproof, but...
you can always pistol whip them.
[LASER SCAN FX]
Jacob, you must be Superman.
Whoa, whoa.
What he talking about?
Tell Hugo
about you getting shot.
- Nah...
- Ah, you've been shot?
Me too. Mira.
Shot in my collarbone.
- Aww...
- Oh...Very painful.
- Tell him, Jacob.
- Well...
Don't be shy.
I suppose the bullets,
they just, pew, pew, pew!
Bouncing off the chest. Ha!
I was shot seven times.
Seven times?
You are Superman.
Ha ha ha!
Tell him the whole story.
I was ambushed.
Betrayed by a
business associate.
Well, you must be very careful
who you do business with.
So, there was
this big gun battle
and Jacob was hit and
out of ammo, and the
gutless dog who was trying to...
He wasn't gutless.
He walked up right to me
and looked me in the eye.
Oh, this is exciting.
Did you say something to him?
I did. Every time
he shot me, I said,
I fucked your mama!
Oh no! Ha Ha!
So, he walked closer and bang!
I fucked your mama!
Ooh!
Bang! I fucked your mama!
Oh ho ho...
He must've been furious.
He should've shot
you in the head.
He tried.
He stick the
muzzle to my forehead.
Click.
Out of fucking bullets!
[LAUGHING]
So I just look at him and smile.
I said, she was good!
He was so angry, he pistol
whipped me to a bloody mess.
Ah, Jacob,
you are a storyteller.
Come on, get
me another drink.
Andale pues.
What do you mean?
Just... como se es en Ingles?
You...exaggerate.
[SPEAKING IN HEBREW]
Oh... He's so dramatic.
Come on!
Let's get in the water.
Fucking slime.
Let it go.

Alvarez is not the kind of...
JACOB:
He's a business man.
I did him a favor not

YANIV: You should've consulted
him first, let him decide.
JACOB:
I decide.
YANIV: Jacob, I can't be
your advisor if you don't
at least, listen to
what I have to say.
JACOB: I pay you to advise.
You don't pay me to listen.

YANIV:
You know that's not what I mean.
He loves those girls.
He wants to give them all
the things he never had.
But you can't
keep using them to...
GILLIAN:
I can and I will.
Now don't think for a minute
that you have more influence
over him than I do.
YANIV: I don't and
that's the problem.
GILLIAN:
Oh, fuck off.
YANIV: Gillian, look,

Jacob, wait.
Jacob! Wait! Wait.
What the fuck?
I'll make sure all
the money's accounted for.
Have you
spoke with Alvarez?
He wants a meeting.
Tell him I will meet
him only in the state.
I know that. He's
agreed to that. He's very angry.
Bullshit.
He feels you should've
consulted him first.
Ha. Consult.
He wants compensation.
[LAUGHING]
And what did you say?
I am sorry, Senor Alvarez, but
he doesn't listen to me?
He does whatever

I will set time and

I want the compensation for all

his cousin stole from me.
We don't know if that's true.
I know that's true!
You think I am a crazy man who
kills people for no reason?
No.
I'll let you know when I decide
when I want to see Alvarez. Go.
Ido, stay here.
Watch yourself.
He's getting paranoid.
SHOP OWNER: All I'm thinking
about is how I want to
bang this broad, right?
But we're having this great

She smiles, she winks.
So I figure this is
gonna be my lucky night.
The cab driver, he pulls up in
front of her hotel, right?
So, I start to get out of the
car and she stops me
and she says, Tony...
I've been with old guys before
and I been with broke guys
before, but they just
can't be the same guy.
If they just can't be the
same... You believe this shit?
It... It...
It can't be the same guy?
So, off she goes...
and I get to take me and my blue
balls home to spank the monkey.
Yeah.
Jacob! How you doing?
Very good.
Really good to see you.
Thank you for coming.
Listen, about our
little misunderstanding, yeah?

WONG:
Hello?
YANIV: It's Yaniv.
We're on for tonight.
WONG: I don't like this,
Yaniv. I don't like any of it.
YANIV:
Look, you have two options.
You make a deal with Jacob
or you take your
ass back to China.
WONG: You know this is bullshit.
I've dealt with his kind before.
Nothing but leeches.
They suck the life right out.
YANIV: I don't want to
hear it. Are we on or not?
WONG:
Yeah.
YANIV:
Same old, you know, they're
getting squeezed by vice for
capacity issues,
underage, drugs.
JACOB:
What was the numbers again?
YANIV: They claim it to be

I think it's over sixty.

CHEN: I apologize.
I didn't mean any disrespect.
JACOB:
We're all busy men.
Let's get to the point.
You're having trouble
with certain legal elements.
I can make that go away.
WONG: If you could
get LAPD off our back,
we're willing to pay for that.
CHEN: Why can't we
pay the cops ourselves?
Why do we need you
as our middle man?
WONG:
Chen.
JACOB: If you go to
the police and offer them money,
they will throw you in jail.
Our relationship more complex.
CHEN: So, how much
are we talking about?
YANIV:
As I explained to Mr. Wong,
We're not here asking for money.
We're expecting to
develop a relationship.
Mr. Hadar owns many
establishments...
CHEN:
You want a piece of our club.
YANIV:
A partnership with Mr. Hadar
would be in best interest
to all concerned.
CHEN: Why the hell
did you not tell me?
WONG:
I did tell you.
You're just
hearing what you want to hear.
JACOB:
Let me make this clear.
If you don't agree to my terms,
the doors in this place
will be shut in a week.
WONG:
Chen, if we get fined again,
They'll take our liquor license.
WONG:
Yaniv and I, we discussed a...
30 percent interest in the club.
CHEN:
God damn it.
JACOB:
Fifty percent.
CHEN:
You son of a bitch.
Okay? What... What the fuck?
WONG:
Sit down. Sit down.
CHEN:
What are you gonna do?
WONG: Mr. Hadar, please.
CHEN: What're you gonna do?
WONG: Please reconsider.
CHEN: Shoot me in my own
CHEN:
fucking club?!
WONG: We... We've poured
our souls in this club.
Please reconsider.
Mr. Hadar, please.
CHEN [IN MANDARIN]:
You bastard! Crook!
WONG:
Sit down.
CHEN [IN MANDARIN]:
You wanna kill me?
WONG:
Forty percent.
Forty percent,
we'll agree to that right now.
CHEN [IN MANDARIN]:
Go ahead. Do it.
CHEN: Go ahead and
fucking shoot me!
WONG:
Chen!
JACOB: Paperwork will be drawn
up for fifty percent partnership
It'll be greater
if there's any delays.
JACOB:
Never damn God.
How do you expect to
receive a blessing?
[THUD]
JACOB: Why would you negotiate
a deal for thirty percent?
YANIV:
I never told him that.
JACOB: He came up
with this himself?
YANIV: I told him a
partnership with us would
eliminate their problems.
JACOB: Your lack of clarity
made me appear weak.
Don't let this happen again.
YANIV:
I'm sorry, Jacob.
JACOB:
Driver, take us to Bel Air.
JACOB:
Join me and Yaniv for dessert.
ELI:
Yes, Jacob.
YANIV:
You sure you don't want a dog?
ELI:
No, thanks.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
YANIV: Eli, lighten up.
We're not around Jacob now.
Darth Vader isn't here
to fuck up your day.
ELI:
Do you think Jacob is evil?
YANIV:
No. No, I don't and I
shouldn't have said that.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
YANIV: Feds would have a field
day, seeing you and I talking
together, they'd think we're
masterminding some kind of coup.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
ELI: If you don't mind me
asking, why are we here?
YANIV: I just wanted to talk
alone, away from all the drama.
YANIV: You know Jacob and I
have been having some problems.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
ELI: Yeah, there's
been some tension.
YANIV: Tension? We're about to
tear each other's throats out.
YANIV:
It's just growing pains, really.
We don't see eye to eye on
the future and that's okay.
It's all, ultimately,
for the best.
ELI: I'm not sure what
you're trying to tell me, Yaniv.
YANIV: Jacob and I are
going our separate ways.
That's what the
get-together tonight is for.
He's giving me full control
of west coast operations.
Total autonomy.
I get to call all the shots.
YANIV:
I get to deal with
the Alvarez fallout.
ELI: Yaniv, I'm still not
understanding why...
YANIV:
I'm here, offering you a job.
More money, less headaches.
I been watching you, Eli.
You're calm, cool, not a
liability waiting to happen.
ELI:
Thank you.
YANIV:
In this business,
sometimes people need to
disappear.
It is what it is.
You just have to make
sure it's the right people.
YANIV:
You have to make sure business
always comes before emotions.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
ELI: I agree, but do you
think Jacob will go for it?
Me leaving him?
YANIV: I think so.
I'm still like a brother to him.
He's gonna want me
shadowed by someone he trusts.
YANIV: That's the best
fucking dog ever.
You sure you don't want one?
ELI:
Thanks, I'm good.
[JACOB LAUGHING]
JACOB: Eli, come have
a seat with us, Eli.
JACOB: We were discussing
just the weather.
ELI:
The weather?
JACOB: Yeah. 'Cause our entire
day influenced by the weather.
What to do, how to do it.
ELI:
That's true.
JACOB:
If we were in New York
now, we wouldn't have a
lovely treat outside,
under the stars.
IDO:
Four degrees Celsius today.
Six inches of rain.
JACOB: Exactly. Makes me
uncomfortable thinking about it.
Eli grew up
in New York, yeah?
ELI: Yeah, until I was
in high school.
JACOB:
It was too cold over there?
ELI:
No. Too hot.
I remember dripping with sweat,
just walking between classes.
They used to
call me the waterfall.
JACOB: When I first came to
US, it was the dead of winter.
I used to wear
short pants in snow
and people would
stare and laugh at me.
IDO:
Because you were crazy.
JACOB: It wasn't that cold.
I know cold.
In Istanbul, when you
cry, your eyes freeze shut.
[IN HEBREW]
IDO:
Only the weather.
YANIV:
I don't get it.
JACOB: Yaniv, how long
have we been together?
YANIV:
Almost fifteen years.
JACOB: When I first arrive in
US, you took care of me.
YANIV:
Ever since we met, we been
[IN HEBREW]
best friends.
JACOB [IN HEBREW]:
Best friends.
JACOB: And why did
we move to California?
YANIV:
Better business opportunities.
JACOB:
No, you don't remember?
YANIV: I thought it was for
better business opportunities.
JACOB:
It was the weather!
[LAUGHING]
YANIV: That's right, we were
tired of freezing our ass off.
JACOB: It was consistency!
It was consistency!
JACOB:
You betrayed me.
JACOB: Ido is my new advisor.
And you're my lieutenant.
Take care of this.
IDO:
Hugo.
ELI: I can't believe it.
Yaniv and Hugo.
IDO: They had a
side deal moving ecstasy.
Jacob knew but he didn't mind.
ELI:
Then why did he kill him?
IDO: Hugo began selling
information to the Feds.
ELI: You think Yaniv was
talking to the Feds, as well?
IDO: He had been acting
strange lately, making mistakes.
Mistakes are always a sign.
ELI:
Ah, God.
[GRUNTING]
[THUD]
ELI: Why do you think
Yaniv would betray Jacob?
IDO:
We'll not talk about this again.
IDO:
It's done.
JACOB:
Loyalty is a difficult creature.
Cannot be bought 'cause
everyone has a price.
Can't be threatened.
Some do not value life.
JACOB:
Loyalty comes only from love.
Unfortunately,
not everyone has a heart.
AGENT JONES: I thought that's
what it is. All about action?
HANNA:
Everyone's gone.
ELI:
Babe, no more video, please.
HANNA: This may be the last
time I see you guys
In I don't know how long...
AGENT JONES: Ah, shouldn't
be more than a year or two.
HANNA:
You serious?
ELI: It's nothing close
to that. I promise you.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Oh, I don't know.
I know a case where an
agent was under for six years.
ELI:
Seriously?
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Yeah, seriously
and it was a mob case, too.
AGENT JONES:
Serious or not
we don't want to hear about it.
HANNA:
Thank you.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: I'm
just trying to make a point.
You never know about these
ELI:
Thank you, I know.
AGENT JONES:
See how lucky you are, Ron?
You just have to live
with Hadar - I gotta.
spend every waking moment
with Mary Sunshine over here.
ELI:
You're worse than Hadar.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: She loves
me. She really does.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: t's all a cover
AGENT JONES: Yeah, yeah.
AGENT JONES:
Oh yeah.
HANNA: Hey, I want both off
you to look at the camera
and promise me that
you'll take care of him.
AGENT JONES:
No, he can take care of himself.
HANNA:
Guys, I'm serious.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Oh...
AGENT JONES:
Okay.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
We | ll take care of
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: little Ronnie!
AGENT JONES: Promise to take
AGENT JONES: care of
little Ronnie. Yes, we will.
ELI:
See what you've done?
HANNA: No, you guys
take care of big Ronnie.
I intend to take care of
little Ronnie, myself,
as soon as I can
get you two out of here.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Oh, okay.
ELI:
You heard the lady.
AGENT JONES: Yes, we did.
ELI: Party's over.
AGENT JONES:
Okay. Well,
You know, I should go
home anyway...
see what kinda damage
the kids did. The boys.
ELI:
Alright, I'll walk you out.
HANNA:
Love you guys.
AGENT JONES: I love you.
HANNA: Be careful.
AGENT JONES:
Careful's not in the handbook.
HANNA:
Say hello to Jeffrey for me.
AGENT JONES:
I will.
ELI:
Ready. Thanks for coming.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE:
Oooh...
Hey, everything's gonna be okay.
He's the best
agent I've ever known.
Everyone talks about saving the
world. He can actually do it.
Okay.
HANNA:
Thank you.
[STRING MUSIC]
GONZALO:
Who are you?
IDO:
I represent Mr. Jacob Hadar.
[LASER SCAN FX]
GONZALO:
Where's Yaniv?
IDO: I will be speaking
for Mr. Hadar now.
GONZALO: Listen, holmes, you
may drop the right names,
but I only speak
to the man I know.
IDO:
I'd be very careful.
Disrespecting me is same
as disrespecting Mr. Hadar.
GONZALO:
Fuck you, esai.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
GONZALO:
You and that pinche puto, Hadar.
The only reason I'm here
is to talk settlement.
What do you have to offer?
IDO: We offer the opportunity to
continue to run your business
in our territory.
[LAUGHTER]
GONZALO [IN SPANISH]:
Your territory?
GONZALO:
Man, you're a joke.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
GONZALO:
Listen...You have Yaniv
come talk to me or this
is all gonna end very badly.
IDO: I wish you would
reconsider your position.
GONZALO: Holmes,
get the fuck out of here.
ELI:
Let's go.
IDO:
We need to kill them all.
ELI:
Ido, you're an advisor now.
You can't let emotion
get in the way of business.
IDO:
You're right.
ELI:
There's lots of activity today.
An increase in security,
in case Alvarez tries anything.
I'll see if I can find out more.
IDO:
Talking to yourself?
ELI:
I was trying to remember a poem.
A Man In His Life, by Amichai.
IDO:
That's one of Jacob's favorites.
ELI: I was going to recite it
for him at his birthday party.
IDO:
He'd like that.
JACOB:
Eli!
ELI:
Excuse me.
IDO:
Be sure to recite
the poem in Hebrew.
It'll be disrespectful
to say it in English.
[SECURITY ALARM SOUNDS]
AGENT JONES:
Ron, what's happening?
IDO:
Did you see anything?
ELI:
No.
IDO:
Fuck.
IDO:
Did you look everywhere?
ELI:
I did.
JACOB:
Alvarez?
IDO:
We don't know.
JACOB:
How many of them?
IDO:
We're not sure yet. A motion
detector was activated.
Jacob, what are you doing?
JACOB:
Protecting myself.
Get out of the fucking way!
IDO:
Jacob, please!
ELI:
Jacob, you can't go out there.
SECURITY MAN:
Section one is clear.
Section one is clear.
IDO:
Jacob!
ELI: This is Eli.
I need a status report now.
SECURITY MAN: Sections
one, two, and three
have all been cleared.
ELI:
Copy that.
IDO: This is Ido!
Take them alive!
SECURITY MAN: We | re all
converging on sector four!
IDO:
How many?
SECURITY MAN:
Just one, a kid!
He's down. He's down.
IDO:
Keep looking, sweep the house.
Make sure there's no
others.
IDO:
Jacob.
JACOB:
Why are you here?
YOUNG GANGSTER:
Fuck you.
JACOB:
Do you know who I am?
YOUNG GANGSTER:
Yeah, you that mobster dude.
JACOB:
What you think I do to someone
break into my house?
YOUNG GANGSTER: Don | t matter,
homie. Had to do it.
JACOB:
Had to do it?
YOUNG GANGSTER:
West Side Pimps, homie.
JACOB:
What you say now, homie?
SECURITY MAN: Careful, Jacob,
he's gonna piss his pants.
YOUNG GANGSTER:
Fuck you, homie!
JACOB:
What you say now?
YOUNG GANGSTER:
West Side Pimps.
SECURITY MAN:
He's not afraid of you, Jacob.
You just gonna take that?
JACOB:
No.
[GUNSHOT AND
SCREAMING]
JACOB: If he was
one of the Alvarez guys
I could be dead now!
Take him to doctor.
IDO:
What about the kid?
JACOB:
Has a heart.
He can either work for
me or put a bullet in his head.
YOUNG GANGSTER:
It ain't nothing, man!
I'll work for him!
I'll work for him.
AGENT JONES:
Ron, you're losing batteries.
We're breaking up. Ron...
HANNA: When people do
these kind of things in movies,
it always seems
so stupid. But anyways...
Hi, I'm sure you've
already heard the news
through proper channels that
we're having a baby. And I
wanted to make you this video.
They still call this video,
don't they? Well, I wanted to
make you this so that you can
share the whole experience with
me, 'cause even if you can't be
here, I'm so excited.
I sure hope you are, too.
You're gonna be such a wonderful
father. I can see it now.
You going to all the little
league games, or dance recitals,
or whatever it may be.
It's gonna be so much fun.
Ah... so be careful.
I know I'm not meant
to say that but be careful
and I promise I'll
do everything the doctor says.
Well, that's all I've got.
I love you. Bye.
IDO:
Put that over there.
IDO:
Where's Jacob?
ELI:
Still in his study.
IDO: Then why are
you here? Never leave him.
ELI: I didn't want to talk
over the radio. I'm concerned.
IDO: He doesn't pay
you to be concerned.
Get back to the door
and don't leave him again.
[YELLING IN HEBREW]
ELI:
Jacob?
ELI:
Jacob?
ELI:
Jacob?
[NOISES FROM BEHIND]
WOMAN:
Uh... Ah!
JACOB:
Eli, come join me.
ELI: No, sir.
I heard sounds and I thought...
JACOB:
Well, get the fuck out!
BIRTHDAY GUESTS:
Happy birthday!
JACOB:
Thank you for coming, thank you.
BIRTHDAY GUESTS:
Happy birthday.
JACOB:
Thank you for coming.
Thank you, thank you. Thank you.
WOMAN 1:
Happy birthday, Jacob.
JACOB:
Thank you.
WOMAN 2:
Happy birthday, handsome.
JACOB: Thank you.
Thank you for coming.
[PIANO MUSIC]
GROUP:
Happy birthday!
JACOB: Eli! Look at me, Eli!
Look, it's me, Eli! Hahaha!
OLD POLITICIAN:
Happy birthday.
JACOB:
Thank you for coming. Thank you.
YOUNG LADY:
Happy birthday.
JACOB: Thank you.
OLD POLITICIAN: Wonderful party.
JACOB: I'm a...
I'm glad you approve it.
OLD POLITICIAN:
Oh, but there are some things
I don't approve of, huh?
We'll talk later.
JACOB: I'm glad your
granddaughter could make it.
OLD POLITICIAN: I see that age
doesn | t necessarily
bring wisdom.
JACOB: Vodka!
Give me the bottle, please.
IDO: Jacob. People
have been looking for you.
Mr. Ivanov is here.
JACOB:
Fuck him.
IDO: Please, Jacob, he could be
very helpful to us with Alvarez.
JACOB:
I'm tired of being monkey.
JACOB:
Viktor.
IVANOV [IN RUSSIAN]:
Jacob. Happy birthday!
JACOB [IN RUSSIAN]: Thank you
for coming.
Thank you for coming. Thank you
for coming.
[LASER SCAN FX]
IVANOV [IN RUSSIAN]:
You remember Sergei?
JACOB:
Of course.
[IN RUSSIAN]
It's good to see you.
[LASER SCAN FX]
JACOB: Let's go join
the party, guys. Let's go.
[HEBREW BLESSING]
GROUP:
Amen. Amen.
JACOB:
Enjoy the party, guys.
IVANOV:
Thank you, Jacob.
So let's eat.
PARTY GUEST 2: I didn | t
know he played the piano.
PARTY GUEST 3:
Only for about a year,
but I heard he studied
with all the best teachers.
SINGER:
I don't care what people say.
I'm gonna love him anyway.
SINGER:
I don't care what people say.
I'm gonna love him anyway.
GUEST:
That performance probably
cost him a hundred grand.
AGENT JONES (OS): Actually,
it's probably a loan out.
She's into the Italian mob
for half a mill. Gambling.
SINGER:
Well, he may not be tall,
but my man, he ain't small,
and he talks all the time.
I can't get in a line.
They say...
What does she see?
If they knew
they'd wish they were me.
They say he's not your type.
Well it's not
about who you like.
'Cause that man...
he is mine.
That man, he
is... mine!
Happy birthday.
JACOB:
Thank you.
JACOB: Go sit down, Eli,
I'm talking to the young lady.
Go.
JACOB: What're you doing
with that old pervert?
I can give you everything.
YOUNG LADY:
Please, let go.
Please. Mr. Hadar.
OLD POLITICIAN: You don't want
me for an enemy, Hadar.
JACOB:
Go fuck yourself.
IDO: What happened?
What's going on?
JACOB:
We're having a party.
IDO: Jacob... You're
embarrassing yourself. Relax.
JACOB:
Embarrassing myself?
Touch me again,
I'll fucking kill you!
Everyone came
to watch the monkey.
IDO:
Let's go inside.
JACOB:
Watch the monkey play! Sing!
JACOB:
Watch the monkey!
IDO:
Jacob. Jacob!
JACOB:
Watch the monkey!
JACOB:
Everyone came
to watch the monkey!
JACOB: Everyone comes
to watch the monkey!
Everyone came
to watch the monkey!
IDO:
Take him inside!
JACOB:
Everybody!
Take...take your
IDO: Take him!
JACOB: fucking hands off me!
JACOB: I'll kill you fucking
all! I'll kill you all!
IDO: Relax. Please continue.
JACOB: Take your fucking
JACOB:
hands off me!
IDO: I apologize. Please...
JACOB: Get your
IDO: please continue to enjoy
JACOB: fucking hands off me!
IDO: yourselves.
IDO:
Jacob?
We need to talk.
JACOB [IN HEBREW]:
Come in.
IDO:
Everyone is gone.
Is there anything else you need?
JACOB:
Are you ashamed of me?
IDO:
No. I'm proud of you.
JACOB:
Why?
IDO: You came from nothing, like
me, and now you are an empire.
JACOB:
Empire. Empire?
Is that what it is, Eli? Empire?
ELI: It is what you
say it is, Jacob.
JACOB:
Loyalty.
Without it, we're nothing.
Tomorrow, we're gonna teach
Alvarez the meaning of loyalty.
Go, I want to be alone.
Go!
IDO:
Come.
IDO: If he leaves this room,
I want to know.
ELI:
You got it.
ELI:
I'm afraid.
AGENT JONES:
It's okay.
When you find the connection
to the nukes, you're out.
ELI:
I'm not sure I can do it.
AGENT JONES:
Ron, you can.
You're gonna be a dad soon.
Do it for your son.
[SNIFFLING]
[FLASHBACK SOUND]
HANNA: What do you think?
Not quite a size two anymore.
Look what you've done to me.
No.
I like my baby bump.
Uhh! I wish
you were here so you can run to
the store in the middle of the
night
and get me graham crackers.
Yeah, graham
crackers. No explanation.
So, I started to taper
off my seizure meds.
So far, so good.
The doctor says I have to
reduce the medicine in my blood
before I deliver or it could
have adverse effects on
the baby, but by reducing
my meds, I could...
Well, you get the picture. I'm
sure everything's gonna be fine.
Plus, by the time
you see this video, you...
I would've had the baby
and you'd know the results.
Well... I have to be in bed
rest, so let me get back to it.
I can't wait to sit and eat
popcorn or graham crackers
and watch these videos with you.
Okay. Until the next episode.
JACOB:
We're both business men.
IDO: I understand this
but I still don't trust him.
JACOB: Together, we generate
over a billion dollars a year.
His greed is
stronger than his pride.
IDO: That may be, but you
still have to carry this.
Please carry the gun, Jacob.
JACOB:
We have enough guns.
IDO:
They're already here.
JACOB:
Fuck these games.
IDO:
Jacob, wait.
JACOB: Alvarez!
You want to talk? Let's talk.
JACOB: Alvarez, I'm here! You
want to shoot me? Shoot me!
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
[LASER SCAN FX]
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
ALVAREZ: Now why would
I want to shoot you, Jacob?
JACOB: There are rumors
you're unhappy about my decision
ALVAREZ: You are correct. That
decision was not yours to make.
JACOB: When someone steals
from me, I have the right to...
ALVAREZ:
You have no right!
You took blood from my blood.
ALVAREZ:
I want ten million dollars.
JACOB:
Ten million dollars.
ALVAREZ: We have a mutually
beneficial arrangement.
One that has made
both of us very rich men.
But I'll cut off all of
your heads if you think
for a second you
control that arrangement.
JACOB: You think your guns
bigger than my guns?
ALVAREZ:
No.
ALVAREZ: I think I
have more of them.
JACOB [IN HEBREW]:
Coward.
JACOB: Do you really want
to go to war with me?
ALVAREZ: War? My friend,
this is a massacre.
JACOB:
I'm not your friend.
ELI:
Send backup. Send backup!
AGENT JONES: Negative. It could
jeopardize the operation.
SERGEI [IN RUSSIAN]:
What's the problem?
JACOB: Perhaps we should
resolve this another way.
ALVAREZ:
What do you have in mind?
JACOB:
You and me, mano a mano.
ALVAREZ:
You are something.
No.
I pay others
to dirty their suits.
JACOB:
Like this piece of shit?
IDO: Senor Alvarez, it is
obvious that neither of us
will gain from a blood bath.
Let's be
reasonable and come to...
[IN HEBREW]
JACOB: For ten million dollars,
I'll kill this piece of shit.
or he kills me.
IDO [IN HEBREW]:
Jacob, don't be stupid.
[IN HEBREW]
JACOB: What do you say?
It's your decision.
[IN SPANISH]:
[SHOUTING IN RUSSIAN, SPANISH,
AND HEBREW]
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS]
MOUNTAIN:
Ugh... aagh... ugh...
JACOB [SPEAKING HEBREW]:
We are settled.
ALVAREZ: I guess your
debt is paid off.
[CAMERA SHUTTER CLICK]
ALVAREZ:
We had a deal!
JACOB:
I'm altering the deal.
[GUNSHOT]
[GUNFIRE, SHOUTING]
IDO: It's okay,
we'll get you out of here.
JACOB:
Haha! I killed him!
I killed those mother fuckers!
[GUNFIRE CONTINUES]
[LAUGHTER]
[GUNSHOT]
ELI:
Ido, hurry.
IDO: Hurry where?
ELI: To a hospital!
DANIEL:
Help me, Eli. Help me.
IDO: We can't just pull up to a
hospital and check him in.
ELI: We'll leave him out front.
If we don't, he's going to die.
DANIEL: Eli, I don't want to
die. I have children.
ELI: You're going to be okay,
Daniel, it's going to be okay.
DANIEL: My boy is nine. He...
He's nine years old.
He likes soccer.
ELI:
Just relax, Daniel.
DANIEL: He's not very good.
But he tries really hard.
ELI:
I'm sure he does fine.
DANIEL:
He... He tries...
ELI:
Daniel. Daniel!
ELI: God damn it! Let me out!
Let me out! Let me the fuck out!
ELI:
Fuck you. Fuck you.
Fuck you! Fuck you!
Fuck your operation!
Jeopardize the operation.
You don't fucking
get it, do you?
You don't fucking get it.
No matter who we bust,
no matter who gets killed,
there is always
somebody to replace them!
ELI: I've dedicated
all my life for this. For what?
You think you can stop this?
You think you can stop evil?
It's a fucking fantasy.
It's a fucking fantasy.
ELI: I know what's real.
I'll tell you what's real.
My wife. My wife is real.
My mother, my son,
my unborn baby boy.
That's fucking real.
That's the only thing
that's fucking real.
ELI:
What now? Huh? What's next?
I put a smile on my
face and go bury the guys
that I've been living
with for the last fucking year?
Go bury their bodies in the...
...in the field like
we did with Yaniv's? Fuck you.
ELI: I don't know who the
good guys are anymore.
ELI: I sure am not one of...
I sure am not...
ELI: I stood by and
watched people burn.
I stood by and watch
people burn, man.
Even if it's for a greater good,
what does that make me?
What does that make me?
[KNOCKING ON DOOR]
IDO:
Eli, we have to go!
ELI:
Yeah. I'll be right out.
I'll be right out.
IVANOV:
So, story has happy ending.
[LAUGHTER]
I wish I could have been there.
Must have been joy to put bullet
in that mother fucker's face.
JACOB:
It was a waste of lead.
I wanted to do it
with my bare hand.
IVANOV: No. You keep those hands
healthy for counting money, huh?
JACOB:
I can do that, too.
IVANOV: To the beginning of a
long, prosperous relationship.
[IN RUSSIAN]
To our health.
GROUP [IN RUSSIAN]:
To our health.
[PHONE RINGING]
NOVIKOV [IN RUSSIAN]:
What?
[LASER SCAN FX]
NOVIKOV: [IN RUSSIAN]
Alright, I'll meet you.
NOVIKOV:
Gentlemen, Mr. Hadar,
please excuse me. I need to take
care of some pressing business.
I hope to be
back before you leave.
SERGEI: Something
concerns me, Mr. Hadar.
Are you ready for cartel's
retaliation?
IVANOV: Sergei, tonight, we
speak only of victories.
SERGEI: I'm just worried
we're being drawn into a war
we want no part of.
IDO: We are prepared to
deal with any retaliation.
SERGEI:
Are you? Then why did you need
our assistance to begin with?
IVANOV: I offered to give help,
as gesture of solidarity.
SERGEI:
With respect to Mr. Hadar,
What do they offer us?
JACOB: I understand and
appreciate Sergei's concern.
You are a very
powerful man, Mr. Ivanov.
You're the head of a
Fortune 500 company.
You control a large portion of
your country's banking industry.
You have the ability to
affect on the world economy.
And I don't even
know why you influence
professional sport league.
IVANOV:
It is all money, Jacob.
JACOB:
All these accomplishments,
they are beyond
the vision of most men.
JACOB:
And I salute you.
But they are not beyond mine.
There are many
frontiers still to conquer.
I imagine a future where water,
power, information, is all
under our control.
JACOB: The governments
will answer to us.
There will be no poverty,
no war,
unless we wish it so.
IVANOV:
That is very big vision, friend.
JACOB:
Perhaps. But possible.
As a boy, my only
desire was water and food.
JACOB:
Shoes to cover my bare feet.
JACOB: As a young man, I wanted
power and all of its many toys.
I have accomplished all that
and I realized what
I really want to be.
JACOB:
Remembered.
Not for years like
some fading movie star.
Forever.
Like the Gods.
IVANOV: Do you think
you're a God, Jacob?
JACOB:
No. I'm merely a man.
But when we are through,
others will perceive us as Gods.
IVANOV [IN RUSSIAN]:
Goodbye, Jacob.
[IN RUSSIAN]
[IN RUSSIAN]
IVANOV:
Then that is for Jacob.
JACOB:
What's this?
IVANOV:
Consider it a gift.
JACOB:
Let's go.
AGENT JONES: You have to find
out what was in that envelope.
ELI:
I will.
AGENT JONES: Intel believes
Ivanov is the nuclear source.
ELI:
Why, because he's Russian?
[KNOCKING ON DOOR OVER RADIO]
ELI:
What was that?
AGENT JONES:
Someone banging on the van.
Standby.
SECURITY MAN (OS):
Go ahead, talk to him!
AGENT JONES:
What are you talking about?
There's no one.
AGENT LEFTRIDGE: Hey, I don't
know who you guys are but...
[GUNSHOT]
SECURITY MAN:
Tell him we know.
AGENT JONES:
Ron, get out. Get out!
[GUNSHOT]
SECURITY MAN: We are
coming for you, you rat bastard.
ELI:
Stay cool, stay cool.
ELI: Hey.
GUARD:
How you doing, Eli?
IDO: Patrol Three ambushed
a couple feds.
Why aren | t you with Jacob?
ELI: I thought I heard a
scuffle in the hallway.
Are there anymore of them? We
should do a sweep of the entire
compound, right now. Let's go.
IDO:
You were my brother!
ELI: Ido, what are you
doing?
Ido, lower the gun!
Ido, what is this?
[THUD]
GUARD: Is he a fed?
IDO:
Tie him up.
[FLASHBACK NOISE]
HANNA:
Well, we're getting close.
Any day now and
you're gonna be a daddy.
So, I guess this
is the season finale.
I wanted to tell you
that I understand.
If anything goes wrong
for me, with the delivery,
I wanted you to know that I
believe in what you're doing.
I know I haven't said
that to you in a while.
But this last year
has been so hard and
you've always been there to take
care of me. But I've managed.
And I realize
how hard it must be on you.
But what you're doing is so much
bigger than the both of us.
You're making this world a
better place for everyone.
So, no matter
what happens...
I want you to know I
think you're a hero.
Our son is going
to be so proud of you.
I'm so proud of you.
I love you, Ronnie.
From the bottom of my heart.
I love you.
JACOB:
Welcome, my friend.
Ivanov was wise
to increase security.
One musor
can ruin the entire party.
When I killed Yaniv,
part of me also died.
The part that believed
loyalty was possible.
JACOB: That was my brother
and he betrayed me.
Yaniv died from greed.
An affliction that affects
all men.
And you...
JACOB:
You're gonna die for a cause.
Trying to rid
the world of bad men.
It can't happen. See?
Your cause, like all causes,
are meant for
the mind of young boys
who don't know any better.
When you die,
no one will remember.
[GUNSHOT]
IDO:
Jacob had a great vision.
ELI: Ido.
IDO: He was out of control.
ELI: Please. Untie me
and give me your gun.
IDO: You can't control
ELI: This place
IDO: the world.
ELI: will be overrun
ELI: with agents
IDO: Others have tried
ELI: in 5 minutes!
IDO: and failed.
It is insolent!
No man can be God!
ELI:
Ido, listen to me.
If you come
in with me, I can help you.
If you testify,
I can still help you.
IDO: I'm sorry, that's
something I will not do.
ELI: Listen to me. My
friend, you don't have a choice.
You do not have a choice.
IDO:
You always have a choice.
ELI: No, no! Ido! Ido! Ido!
Aaagh!!! Aaagh! Aaagh!
Aaagh...
