Michael, we look at your numbers.
239 pounds.
That fits criteria for obesity.
So Michelle, you were, I think, as high as 260 pounds Before your surgery.
- Yeah.
- And when we looked at your cholesterol pattern, You love your dad, But you have the same genetics as he does.

- The percentage of body fat Is over 56%.
You're more than half fat.
- I just became obsessed with food.

- [sniffling.]
I don't want my kids to have the bad things that I've had.
My family is the most important thing in my life.
I'm very afraid.
I'm afraid for myself, And I'm afraid for my wife and my children, And I wanna make things right for them.
- There's only one road to take, And that's getting healthy and getting better, You know, however we have to do it.
I'm not gonna let them choose anything else.
- I'm gonna give the family a ring right now.
We gotta get rolling on this.
[dramatic music.]
[line ringing.]
[ringing.]
- Hello? - Is this the Mastropietro family? - Yes.
- Hi.
This is Jillian.
- Oh, my gosh! Hi, Jillian! - I'm in Wilmington right now.
And I got news for you.
- Yeah? - You asked, and I came, so - [screaming.]
- Swear to God, swear to God! I'm sorry I screamed in your ear.

Listen carefully.
I expect to see you in 20 minutes at the fitness center, So get your gym clothes and do not be late.
- Yeah, understood.
Yes, ma'am.
- Okay.
I'll see you soon.
- All right, thank you.
- Where do we gotta go? - The fitness center.
- Come here, guys.
- I-I guess there's no, uh, excuses now.
- Thank God.
- I'm dealing with decades of neglect here.
If I had weeks to work with the family, I would have a completely different game plan.
But I don't.
I have five days.
- That's it.
So it's now or never.
And that's the urgency That I need to convey to this family.
Well, well, well.
How are you guys? - Hi.
- How you doing? - In comes Jillian Michaels.
I was starstruck.
- I don't know why, but I thought she would be bigger.
Maybe just because she yells a lot.
- Nice to meet you.
All: Nice to meet you.
- I know you've seen the doctor already.
- Yeah.
- Got a Lotta work to do.
So spread yourselves out.
Real easy, let me see jumping Jacks.
That's it.
In and out.
In, out.
She came in and bing, bang, boom, She got us moving right away.
- Agnes, drop your bummy.
Sink down.
Ten seconds.
Don't fall down.
Up, up, up, up.
[Agnes giggling.]
No, no, no, not funny.
Up.
Up! Up! On three.
Higher.
- I can't.
- I don't give a crap! - Can I - Nope.
- It's okay.
- I don't think it's okay.
I got news for you, Jimbo.
If it was okay, I wouldn't be here.
Let's go, go, go! Down.
Ten.
Lower! Agnes-- - I'm trying.
- No, don't try, Agnes.
Trying is planning to fail.
- Oh! - Let's go.
Get up! - Come on, ma.
- Agnes.
No, no.
Agnes, that's not a squat.
Sink down, sink down.
How long have you been this unhealthy? - A long time.
- Are you sick or it or not? - Yes.
- Are you sick of it or not? - I'm so sick of it.
- Do you understand how serious this is, Agnes? - Very much so.
- Then show me That you understand it! - Yes! - Will ride you all week long.
I will be your worst damn nightmare.
Throw the ball! Three! Throw it! Two! Up, down! Good.
Jim and mom.
Come over here.
You're gonna get on the bike.
You're gonna start to pedal.
Agnes - I'm trying to get moving.
- Don't try, Agnes--do! Go! Go! Ass is back.
Get your butt behind you.
Go, go, go, go, go.
- Jillian, you're killing me.
- No, Agnes, I'm not killing you.
You're killing you.
I'm trying to help you.
Now, get-- Get back on the bike now.
- Mom, let's go.
You can do it.
- Come on, Agnes, we can do it.
- Go! One foot in front of the other.
Right, left, right, left.
Right, left.
- I'm trying.
- Push your foot down.
You don't really want this.
Sit down.
- I've never had anybody, In all my years of doing this job, Give up that quickly.
- Ma, you signed up.
Don't get off, mom.
- Michelle - Mom! If we have to go through hell, you have to go through hell.
I'm not even gonna play.
It's day one! - Jimbo, come here.
Run over here! Don't walk, run.
Put this around your waist.
Turn around.
Good.
Run to the wall.
Go.
You guys, don't stop until he gets to the wall.
Don't walk, run.
- I can't.
You know what, you're right.
You can't have it! You can't have health.
It's not for you.
- Oh! - Let's go! - Ugh! No! You can't have it.
No! I'm not gonna give it to you.
Michael: It's nothing! - Turn around and do it again.
- I can't turn around.
- Let's go.
Jumping Jacks.
Turn around.
- I'll do 'em with you, dad.
Let's go.
- Yes! Go! - I can't, I can't.
- Go, jimbo.
- Come on, dad.
- You're gonna make a choice right now.
Ready? Here's your choice.
- I can't go anymore.
- Then I'm gonna walk out of the gym, And I'm gonna leave Boston.
- Dad, let's go.
- I can't breathe.
I'm gonna pass out.
- You can't breathe, you're gonna pass out Because you're half-dead! Make a choice.
- I can't, I can't.
- You guys can't do this.
This is a waste of my time.
- I didn't expect this.
- What did you expect? She was gonna giggle and laugh and whatever? - Let's go! I'm sick of this now! - You signed us up.
You and dad cry, say you can't do it, And Jillian walks out.
You're gonna be 6 feet under if you don't go get her! - You guys can't do this.
This is a waste of my time.
- You and dad cry, say you can't do it, And Jillian walks out.
You're gonna be 6 feet under if you don't go get her! - I want them to think that I'm leaving.
They're so caught up in this whole drama.
I want them to fight this out.
I tried everything.
They don't care.
They don't care.
- Go get her, or I'm done.
- I felt as though I did try as hard as I could.
And to see my kids yelling at me It really upset me.
I need this.
I'm trying my--my legs feel like they're gonna collapse.
- I cannot force you to do anything.
You have to choose this.
I don't just walk in, and you magically get skinny.
I'm not a freaking genie.
You didn't make it five minutes.
I've never seen anybody quit that fast--ever! I've seen people three times your size not quit that fast.
You're in serious trouble, okay? He's not healthy! Neither are you.
You think change is easy? It's not easy! It's hard.
It's real hard work.
But you're gonna have to make a choice, And the choice is this-- Do you wanna live Or not? - We can do it.
We can do it.
I saw in my wife's face today that blankness, And I can't have that.
We need this.
And I will never you'll hear again out of my mouth "I can't.
" It'll never happen again.
- Welcome to our home, Jillian.
- Aha! - Hi, Nan.
- Oh, who's this? All: Nan! - Hi there.
- Hi.
Nice to meet you.
- I'm Jillian.
Nice to meet you.
Listen to that accent! - How exciting, huh, Nan? - Congratulations.
- Uh-huh! Okey-dokey.
So, um - Gonna make chicken cutlet tonight.
- Oh, let's see it.
So Michelle starts making dinner, And it was like something out of my nightmares.
Chicken breaded and fried in an entire bottle of oil.
- That's 6,400 calories in your chicken.
- That's scary.
- Processed mashed potatoes.
- You want this stick of butter? - You're joke-- what are you doing? - No, she puts a half a stick of butter in it.
- There's half and half and butter in there already.
Some sort of weird fried Italian pie.
- That does look good, though, right? - You have anything green in the whole house? - No.
- No? - We don't eat green.
If there's anything green in there, It's green from mold.
- You do this every night? - Um, we don't have chicken cutlet every night, But, yeah, it's either breaded or fried.
A disgusting amount of oil.
- And you cook this.
- Yeah.
I'm the enabler, I guess.
- Why? - It's what I know.
- They make this food because I say They should make it this way.
- And this makes you happy? - Yeah.
I like to eat.
And I've always eaten till I'm satisfied.
- So what you're telling me then, man, Is that you're never satisfied, 'cause you don't stop eating.
- I eventually do stop eating.
- When we go to bed.
- So when you're unconscious, you stop eating.
- Yeah.
- Here's the problem--jimbo.
They wait on him hand and foot, As though this guy is made of glass.
This is gonna be such a long week.
It's like 6 something in the morning.
I'm gonna get up.
I'm gonna get them up.
Hello there, Petunia.
You ready for a whole new day? - Yeah.
- I wanted to have an opportunity To talk to Michelle and get her side of the story.
We're gonna get some food in the house today, obviously, To make this a little bit easier.
- Oh, good.
- 'cause I gotta eat too, okay? Michelle was tiptoeing around her parents.
Michelle's been enabling them And not pushing them To do better, to be more.
You know what? This is common sense.
Obviously, all of this Good to go.
Okay? - Okay.
Definitely avocadoes.
Snacks for your dad.
Carrots for me.
- Can we get strawberries? - Yes! Of course.
- Everybody likes strawberries.
- You have a cookbook.
You can learn to make this stuff.
And it's gonna be like a whole 'nother world for you.
It's like I'm watching you make this food For your parents last night, And I could see you don't wanna make it.
I mean, it's like the-- the distress And the anxiety in your face And I'm thinking, why is this kid not saying, "I'm not gonna make this crap for you.
No!" And it seems like, you know, you're just so afraid To rock their boat or to push them out of their comfort zone.
- I want them happy.
I don't want my dad to have to come home And worry about dinner not being on the table.
So I do it.
It's just always been that way, And I've always cooked what they liked, and - When you see somebody in your family Being self-destructive And you're not saying "I refuse to watch you kill yourself," Because you're so afraid to confront them, You're so afraid to make them deal with Anything that's painful, That if you guys cannot open up The line of communication, This is not going to get better.
This will only get worse.
- I agree.
- You know, yesterday, There was clearly something going on after the workout.
I'm starting to kind of formConnect dots, But why "I've lost and gained" - A hundred pounds.
- Seven times? - My whole adult life, Jillian.
I was always like 10 or 20 pounds overweight as a kid.
It's embarrassing to say.
I used to hide and eat, 'cause I was so ashamed.
- When does it start to come on? - I had a son That passed away.
He was on a respirator.
He lived a month and a day.
[sniffling.]
words can't even explain the pain I have.
I didn't even put a stone on his grave.
And, you know, another thing that's really bothered me My husband can't talk about my son.
He--he's never really talked about it.
The first funeral he ever went to was our son's.
And after that day, He never spoke another word.
And if I try to bring it up with him, He says, "hon, I can't do it.
" And I just feel alone.
I feel like I was in it alone.
- I'm finally getting a grasp On where the problems are stemming from Within this family.
A lot of times, a tragedy will come along in life That a person isn't equipped to deal with.
They don't have the tools to rebound.
There's this unspoken agreement in this family.
It's like, "let's never talk about it again," And yet they're just getting bigger and sicker And more unhappy and more unhealthy.
They just don't know how to be there for each other In a constructive way.
- You want the experience of the neck pillow? - This is gonna rejuvenate me? - Oh, yeah.
Oh [laughter.]
- It's been another long day, But tomorrow I'm gonna try to give Agnes something That I don't think she's had for a really long time, And that's a voice, confidence.
She needs to be empowered So that she can deal with what'sIn front of her.
Coming up on losing it - Remember that first day everybody was egging me on? Now it's your turn to get it going! - Stunning.
- You're still not into this jacket, We will have to switch the whole wedding party.
- Let go! - Agnes.
- Uh-huh? - You're in charge.
Put him at a 3.
8 And make him do five minutes.
It's time for Agnes to take control And start pushing jimbo.
These guys need to get out of their comfort zones.
Tell him why you need him to do this.
- I need you to do this for us.
So we're healthy.
- This is a woman that's been terrified to push her husband.
- You're not gonna stop.
You're gonna keep on movin'.
- If she can push him in the gym, That means she can push him Within the context of their relationship.
- Ugh! - Push him.
Do not baby him.
Get him through it.
- I'm tired.
- There's an end to this.
- I know.
- Come on, you can do this.
Seven, six, Five, four - Aah! - Two.
.
Stop! - Oh! - Good job.
I'm so pud of you, honey.
- Aah! - Right into pushups.
Agnes has never believed in her ability To affect change within herself Or within her family.
That's why fitness is transcendent.
This isn't about fitness.
It's about rebuilding a life, And fitness is just one tool of many.
- [groaning.]
- Honey, you can do it! - Make him do it.
Make him do it.
- Think of our future.
- Push him.
Push him! - We need each other.
I cannot live without you.
I need you in my life! - Argh! - Whoo! - Nice.
- Good job.
- Agnes, I need him to step up again.
I need pushups again.
Make him do it.
- Come on.
We're a team! - Get him up! - Get up! - Now! - I was always used to just pussyfooting around jimbo And not to rock the boat.
And now I know I have to rock the boat.
Remember that first day everybody was egging me on? Now it's your turn To get it going! [yelling.]
move it! Ten, nine, eight, Seven, six, Five, four, Three, two.
One more! Give it to me! - Ugh! - All right! Whoo! You're an animal! Jillian pushed us.
She showed me that jimbo will love me No matter what.
And I didn't believe that before.
I love you.
I wouldn't do it unless I loved you, honey.
I need to take this empowerment And talk to my husband about the death of my son.
It's gonna be the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
No matter what it takes, I have to do this.
Not only for me, but for him.
When we got back from the workout, I wanted to have a family meeting.
I wanted to talk to jimbo About me grieving my son by myself.
I was petrified of what Jimbo's reaction would be.
I was afraid he was either gonna shut down Or lose it completely, Because he's never spoken to me about Jimmy.
Jillian, I want you to meet someone.
This is my baby.
[sniffling.]
This is James Michael, Jr.
The short time that he lived, he went through hell.
[Jim sobbing.]
- The only time I ever held my son Without any machines on him Was the day he passed away.
The only time my boy opened his eyes Was when he was letting go, And it was like he was saying, "thank you, mom.
" I'm at peace now.
Jimbo has not been able to talk about thisEver.
If I bring it up, he'll raise his arms And he says, "honey, I can't.
" And for 22 years, I have felt alone, And I need my man.
I need you, honey.
I need to grieve with you.
We have a son.
He doesn't even have a tombstone.
It's like he never even existed.
We had a boy.
- I can't talk about him.
- [sobbing.]
- I can't talk about him.
I can't.
- It tears me apart.
- It kills me.
- I know.
- It's killing you Whether or not You talk about it.
Just you telling this, Just you talking to your wife, Just your agreeing to sit down Is so brave.
- I sat there every day for 30 days And I watched my son breathing through a tube.
The doctor would say, "do you wanna hold him?" I did wanna hold him.
But I thought he was fragile, and I didn't want to hurt him.
Then when they took the tube out, Never had a chance.
[sniffles.]
- Jim, I have-- I have a question for you.
If you're open to it, What do you think about maybe Getting Jimmy a headstone? - Honey, you know he deserves a headstone.
For 22 years, it's like he wasn't even here to me.
- If I knew that would help you, I would have got it for you.
- All we need is you to open up and to love us.
We're a team.
We've always been a team.
- I know.
- We've just tiptoed around each other.
- If you need to talk to me, you talk to me.
There's no separation here.
There's no separation in this family.
If somebody's gotta say something to somebody And we need to talk about something openly, We'll make that happen.
This is what we have to be For the new life that we're gonna life.
- I need you guys to be there for us.
- We're here, Mikey.
- Alls I want is, you know, that door to be open.
- I'm here.
Your mother's here.
We're here.
Everybody has to talk.
I'm not holding back anymore.
And I want youse to do the same with me.
Because I want my family with me forever.
- Gimme a kiss.
- I only have a couple of days left here, And I wanna send the family out To try on tuxes and dresses Because Michelle's wedding's coming up, And I want them to remember what they're working towards, What's the bigger picture here.
- Let's show you some styles.
You have some things in mind? - I haven't mentioned it to the boys yet, But I want them in tails.
- Tails? - Yes.
- No problem.
- I'm ecstatic for this wedding.
All the things that you do in life, You wanna see your kids grow up, get married.
It's likeThe proudest day of my life.
- Well, that's the largest size we have, So we need 3 inches off this section - Okay.
- By the wedding.
You're still not into this jacket, We'll have to switch the whole wedding party To a different style.
- I don't wanna look like the fat jolly guy in the room Making jokes, taking attention.
We're gonna go with it.
- Great.
- So I set a goal right then and there That I would be able to get into the tux That I have to get into.
- How can we help you today? - I'm looking for a mother of the bride's dress.
- Okay.
Don't be nervous.
It's okay.
All right, number one.
- What are your thoughts, Agnes? - I just feel awful in it right now.
I-I'm heavy.
- Number two.
- Mommy, I like that one.
- What do you think about this one, Agnes? - Not crazy about the color.
- So thenNext.
- Ready? - Ready, guys? I'm not crazy about it either.
I can't see myself looking good in anything right now.
I saw a heavy woman with a beautiful gown on, And I was devastated.
I'm gonna work very hard to get to where I need to be To look good in that dress.
- You look beautiful.
Stunning.
My beautiful baby.
- Beautiful.
- [laughs.]
thank you.
- Look at this! - You like what you see? - I do! We've come a long way in a few days, haven't we? - OhYeah.
- So I wanna hear all about the day.
Tell me everything.
- We Went to the bridal shop.
The guys tried on all the tuxes.
Oh, my God, they looked so handsome.
- People don't express how it is to have-- To see your child with her wedding gown on.
- We could have stood there all day And just stared at her.
She's gonna be the most beautiful bride.
- I'll tell you right now.
- Your father's in tears, he's so proud of you, And you ruin the moment by putting yourself down.
You give your family a little credit.
What's gonna be perfect enough for you? I wanna know.
- I don't know.
So I can be happy when I look in the mirror.
- You'll never be.
You know why? Because you're not happy here.
- There's just certain things about myself That I hate.
- I noticed, as a brother, that Even when you were heavy [crying.]
you always walked around With so much grace and everything.
And I just want you to walk around With the elegance like you did before Because you are beautiful, And if anyone tells you different Tell them to come talk to me.
- After a gastric bypass, You play serious head games with yourself.
YouTake a compliment and you flip it So it's the worst thing you've ever heard.
It's a really crappy way to live.
- Line 'em up! Oop.
Let's begin.
Incline 5.
Three, two, one.
Good, good, good.
Nice.
Mike, that's 9, right? - Yep.
- What's your speed, Michelle? - 5.
- Ag.
- 5.
- J.
- 4.
8.
Let go! Three Two-- Get back on there, Michelle.
One more.
- I'm going.
- Fall off again, and we're gonna do it over.
- Go, go, three.
Let go.
Two.
Let go.
Let go! Let go! Let go! Hop off for one second while they recover.
With Agnes and Jim, The problems are clearly on the inside.
The same is true of Michelle.
Although she looks great on the outside, The inside is still not fixed, And I have one last workout to try to reach her.
Why are you gonna choose failure When success is an option? - I'm just trying to avoid the--the-- The compliments and the - Why? - Because I don't believe them.
- Michelle, you refuse to succeed Because you are so afraid Of getting attached to the possibility Of what your life could be That you'll be destroyed if it doesn't happen.
You've already been to the bottom.
Why don't you try going to the top for once? Just try! - Okay.
I know that I'm not an ugly, disgusting person.
Like, I really wanna think that.
Like, I know that my fiancé Tells me every day I'm beautiful.
And I would literally do anything to believe it.
But it consumes me.
It like literally eats me.
- Five sit-ups.
Don't fail.
Five One.
Nice.
Take a second.
TWo.
There you go.
Up.
Go! Up! Do it again.
Go! Just make it happen.
Do it again.
Now you're at a crossroads.
Make a different choice.
- Okay.
- Go.
- Uhh - Do it again.
Go.
You have got to let go of this.
Let go of this.
- [sobbing.]
- Let go of that fat kid.
Let her go.
Let her be happy.
- I hate her.
It's like she's there to haunt me, To remember that no matter what I do She's always there, Like I can go back.
I don't want to go back.
- Listen to me.
Listen.
That's the thing with gastric bypass, honey.
Even if this changes, This doesn't.
You've remedied a symptom Of your core problem Which is not only still there, But growing.
You have to make a choice To move forward.
I can't make that for you.
Okay? Think about it.
- Here we go.
We're just gonna play with this idea And see how it goes.
I just want you to think about a goal That you want to achieve.
- Okay.
- All right.
I'm gonna work on learning to love me, So that way I can love all of you a lot more.
- I'm gonna push myself to lose 25 pounds.
I know I can achieve that goal Because I've got the family that I have around me.
- By the wedding, I'd like to lose 30 pounds.
And I'm gonna work my butt off to get there.
And I'm gonna work on feeling worthy.
Worthy of my feelings And worthy of love From each and every one of your guys.
- My goal is to focus on me And lose 50 pounds By the wedding day.
Another goal I have is to be a better dad to you, 'cause I wasn't there.
But I'm here.
Never thought I'd say I'm trying to be a better dad, But I'm trying.
My goal to you Is to be the calm and relaxed husband That you want, Because I know I don't listen.
And I will listen, 'cause I love you.
- [silently.]
I love you too.
- And you mean everything to me.
My goals are achievable goals, And every goal that I said here today, One way or the other will be reached.
- Hug it out.
- Oh, man.
- We've been through as a family with Jillian A new start on life.
And I know what I didn't know before.
That if you don't talk about things, It doesn't get easier.
And as long as we talk to each other, We'll continue to grow.
- Come on in, baby.
- You can get in the middle.
- Okay.
- Hey, hey.
- I'm gonna be off.
- We're gonna make you proud.
- I know you will.
And I'll be back in six weeks To see what you've accomplished.
I have a flight to catch, so - Can I say one thing first, please? - Thank you for giving us the stepping stone To find ourselves.
And I hope that you've enjoyed At least being here, and that My house was warm for you.
- Heh! What is wrong with you people? [laughter.]
But it's not really good-bye.
It's just bye for now, right? - Thank you for everything.
- I never dreamed that we would do such a 180.
I feel as though our lives were saved.
That's the honest to God truth.
- All right, sweetie.
- Thanks for calling me out.
- Michelle's wedding is in six weeks.
We have a road ahead of us, but whatever it takes, I will do to reach my goal.
We are gonna rock this world.
- See you later! - Be safe! - Bye! - Today's the wedding day.
Getting excited to see them.
I wonder if they've lost weight.
I wonder how things are going.
I just want to see these guys happier and healthier In any and every way possible.
Here's to hoping.

- I've never experienced pain like this in my life.
- I've been side by side my parents and my brother Every single day.
- There's no more pastries.
There's no more sugary treats.
- I hope that Jillian is proud of us, 'cause we worked hard to do what we had to do.
- Tonight is a turning point for us.
It's a new beginning.
This has been a long time coming.
[guests chatting.]
- It's a beautiful day for a wedding, And I think I might be as nervous as Michelle is.
It's been an incredibly short period of time, And I just don't know what to expect.
This day is meant to symbolize the beginning of A new future.

We're more open.
We're able to talk to each other.
We're a team now.
- This is my new lifestyle That I will continue for the rest of my life.
Jillian brought us a lot closer together Than we were before.
I can't express how to thank her.
- To see what they've done And to be side by side with them while they did it I think is the most fantastic thing ever.
My parents and my brother are living proof That there's no excuses for everybody.
- I am so proud of you, honey.
- We've not only healed outside, but here.
- I went through a divorce that I never saw coming.
- I'm afraid of exercise.
- I started yo-yo dieting a lot.
- Health-wise, I need to get off this weight soon.
- You are at risk for a heart attack.
You are at risk for a stroke.
- I don't wanna be fat anymore.
[beep.]
[line ringing.]
- Hello? - Hello.
- Hello? - Hi, this is Jillian.
This is Jillian.
You asked, and I came.
- [screaming.]
- Oh, my God! - Uh-oh.
- I'm traveling the country and moving in with families Who desperately need help.
Don't stop! I have only one week to do what takes me months On the biggest loser Are you gonna quit this? To give these families the tools To reboot their lives.
Which woman do you wanna be? - Be the one that finishes.
- Which woman? Which woman are you gonna be? - I'm the one that finishes! - Then finish it.
- Perseverance.
Hope.
Power.
- [whispering.]
all of those qualities Are within you.
- I know.
- My goal is to be a better dad to you.
- I'm learning to live - What are you doing? - I'm reclaiming my life.
- starting to sing my song - I want you to find out who you really are.
- Why are you gonna choose failure When success is an option? - setting me free free to be my own me ââ¢Âª I'm learning to live ââ¢Âª [upbeat music.]
[bell tolling.]
- America, I'm in Wilmington, Massachusetts, And I'm about to move in with the Mastropietros.
Dad Jim, Mom Agnes, Son Michael, Daughter Michelle, And fiancé Jordan.
This is a larger-than-life Italian family, And I mean in every way.
- My family is my life.
My kids and my husband-- they're my everything.
Dinner is never-ending.
Once you start eating, it's for the rest of the night.
You want meatballs, sausage, what? - I love meatballs.
- Food is kind of like our glue.
Oh, yeah.
- If there's a way to cheat the system, People cheat the system.
My way was gastric bypass.
It failed for me.
I had gastric bypass at 21 Because my father had it.
I'm still unhappy.
I still have a "bad" mentality where I look in the mirror and I see that fat person.
- I've gained and lost over 100 pounds seven times.
I can't keep going through life like this.
I'm not changing sizes every year.
I'm changing sizes every season.
[whooping.]
- I'm getting married soon.
I want my parents to walk me down the aisle With confidence, and right now they wouldn't.
- The Mastropietros have already been to Dr.
Van Herle.
We now know they have some serious health issues goin' on.
- Your numbers are frightening.
Jim, we start with you.
When we look at your percent body fat, Jimbo, It is over 40%, and that puts you at real risk In such a dangerous situation For actually having a heart attack or stroke.
So that does put you at coronary risk, Meaning for heart attack or for stroke.
So, Agnes, your weight currently is - I'm mortified.
- The percentage of body fat Is over 56%.
You're more than half fat.
- I just became obsessed with food.
It just pulls me in.
- These are scary, scary, scary numbers, And they will send you to an early grave.
- No, no.
