1 - Inside these planes Are ten single men And ten single women.
They have one thing in common.
They are all looking for love.
In the past, they've tried it all: Internet dating, speed dating, Blind dating.
But they still haven't found That special someone.

And who knows? Maybe I'll find somebody Better than all these guys I've dated in the past.
- I was engaged once.
And four months from our wedding, We literally just unraveled, And it was just absolutely devastating.
I'm ready for another relationship, And an experience like this Is a step in the right direction.

But I definitely think it's a dead zone In terms of single men.

Now, for our final couple remaining At the end of our time here in costa rica, A first-class trip around the world, Stopping in some of the most romantic cities On earth.

Once you've built your raft, The instructions on your map Ll help you navigate Through water, earth, and air, Collecting objects that represent all those elements Along the way, The first couple to complete all those tasks And get over the finish line to meet me wins.
Now, keep in mind, How you finish in the race Will determine how much control you will have Over picking your next partner.
- Oh, as a side note, Wouldn't suggest falling into the river, 'cause it's full of crocodiles.

- Sam and I found a connection almost immediately, No debate, and we just went to work.

Because I don't want to look like a pansy.

- I've known kym at this point for maybe ten minutes.
And next thing I know, I'm on a makeshift raft with her.
Uh, you're gonna learn real quick If you can stand the person or not.
- Wait, you gotta figure that out.
- I don't know what the map says.
So stop screaming at me.
Look at it.
We started in the wrong direction, 'cause I was being frazzled And I couldn't read the map correctly.
- All right, this thing's gonna float.
- Yeah.
Skip and I built A corvette for a raft.
I mean, this thing was sick.
No flaws.
Sparkling.
We could have sold them.
We could have sold them for money.
- "paddle down stream about one mile.
"as you near the raft takeout you'll see a small island.
Immediately pull to the left bank.
" - I think we have to go right.
- Like right here.
Are we going this way? - Right, this way.
- Okay.

- Let's not lose this.
- This is a ghetto raft.
But it'll work.
I'll be the steering.
You just paddle.
Is that a crocodile? - It's a stick.

Is it bad that I just swallowed a bunch of this? - [laughing.]

And I am kind of an open book.
I expect my partner to be the same way.

Takes up most of my time.

And then we went under.
Do you know what I mean? - Dawn and I started building the raft.
No one was being overly-aggressive or assertive.
We were both kind of looking at each other For some sort of guidance.
[both grunting.]

is ours so damn heavy? - Jared, I felt as though he was standing there And not taking initiative and fricking doing something.
Oh, my gosh, that's falling apart.
I felt as though, in the moment, I was the one, you know, directing traffic.
[panting.]
- I think we'll be fine.

My legs are starting to hurt.
This is unnaturally [laughs.]
it's an unnatural position.
My thighs were on fire, burning so hard.
But I mean, hey, I just met this girl.
I don't want to start complaining About my groin being sore.

He makes me feel comfortable.
I had a feeling that there might be potential there.

- Yeah, and when you say that, it definitely doesn't mean You're pointing the finger right behind you.
It definitely doesn't mean that.
- I was not feeling good at all about the fact That we did not have the map.

- And I was so frustrated with him, But I didn't want it to show.
You know, I didn't want him to not like me For being so bossy.
- [groans.]

snake? - It's a twig.

The only thing I wanted at that moment Was to get out of that freakin' crocodile-infested river.

We end up in the water.

I'm so scared, and there's the frigging bottom.
- Uhh! - We end up making it to the other side.
We're having to rebuild this raft again.
This is crazy.

I felt really awful, you know? I wasn't able to build a raft.
You know, granted, I don't build rafts for a living.
But I guess in a sense, we're still hoping That she would like me.
I wanted her to like me.
- Okay, really The competitor in me wanted to start yelling And saying, like, "why are you standing here? "like, I'm moving these logs.

- We came in last, so is your gut telling you That we're going to stay or go? - It could go either way.

I was really happy when I was picked first, And so it's just a bigger letdown When you go home first.
But there were some good moments And there were some bad moments, So I'll take it as a life experience.
My thought was, I was going to be open to love.
I am disappointed it didn't happen, But it's something I'll never forget.
- Coming here I knew was an experience of a lifetime, But I was disappointed.
I wanted to continue on the journey, And it is what it is at this point, I suppose.
