Hunt
NARRATOR:
Once upon a time,
how all legends of kingdoms
and bravery begin.
(Wolf growls softly)
(Wolf whines)
But this is not a fairy tale.
This is a story of
an empire in ruin
..and its forgotten princess.
(Wolf growls threateningly)
Aaarh!
(Wolf snarls)
(Thud)
(Crunch)
(Thud)
(Thump)
Whoof!
(Wolf snarls)
(Screaming)
The kingdom of Eleysia
was celebrating
the coronation of its Princess Riese,
when a wicked religious group
called the Sect stormed the palace,
slaughtered the royal family
and placed the Queen's cousin
Amara on the throne.
The new empress quickly began
conquering the world.
As for the princess?
Well, she mysteriously survived
the bloody coup.
And now, instead of
living the fairy tale,
Riese was fighting for her life.
Amara, panicked by news that
the princess was still alive,
ordered the Sect to hunt Riese down
and finish her off.
Trennan.
You sent for me, Empress?
Has Herrick returned?
I'm sorry, your highness,
he's still away from the palace.
Have we any word about his mission?
No, not yet.
I see.
Order Herrick's return immediately.
A-Amara?
Did you not hear me?
I said send for Herrick, now.
Yes, your highness.
Thank you.
You may go.
NARRATOR: No one
would take Amara's throne.
(Frightening noises)
(Distant screaming)
(Wolf snarls).
Riese was flooded with
memories of her lost family.
Her mother Kara, her father Ulric,
and her younger brother Arkin.
They were gone.
She was alone in the world.
Well, nearly alone.
(Breathes raggedly).
Having a wolf by her side
gave the exiled princess
a fighting chance.
Even if they didn't
speak the same language.
Riese wasn't the only one
taking on the Sect.
A group of supposed heretics
and commoners calling themselves
the Resistance were fighting
to take their land back from Amara.
Their leader Rand knew for certain
that the princess was alive.
And finding Riese
was his personal crusade.
Rand! - there are Huntsmen
everywhere.
You said the Eleysian army
would be here.
I was misinformed.
The woods are infested with them.
We have to fall back.
We're not going anywhere!
Aargh!
(Thump) Yaahh!
We have to. This is madness.
(Yells)
That's enough.
I'm ordering a retreat.
Garin, you are out of line!
This is no time to be a coward!
We do not run! We fight.
Aaarrhh!
Sir, the Empress
orders your return to Asgard.
(Distorted voice)
She's injured.
Search the nearest township.
I'll return shortly.
Fenrir.
In the woods.
Wolves used to be part of
the Eleysian royal guard,
trained to fight
alongside its troops.
But when Amara took over,
she worried that wolves were
too symbolic of the old kingdom,
and declared that they should be
executed on sight.
So Riese had to
enter the township alone.
I'm sorry, we're not accepting
any travelers at this time.
We're in the middle of our harvest.
Good day.
