And then I ended up actually finding
an adoption family to take my son.

-And when I was seven months pregnant,
I literally woke up and was like,
"I can't give up my son."

You got kicked out, living in homes
Yeah, so I told them,
"I'm keeping my son,"
and then they were like, "Okay."
And they took me in the car
and drove me to a shelter
and dropped me off.
That was the hardest thing for me,
when my parents disowned me
at the time that I needed them the most.
But I've grown as a woman, as a mother.
If I didn't go through those hardships,
I wouldn't have accomplished
as much as I have today.
I've heard the story before,
and it makes me, like, cry again.
It's so horrible.
[Kayla] Well, yeah.
Also, you said "baby daddy,"
where was he in the picture?
-Was he a boyfriend, or?
-He was my boyfriend at the time.
I mean, it takes one time to get pregnant.
That happened to me.
