Spencer Grammer is in the hot seat as we discover what makes Casey tick The Beaver explains Greek speak Sorority and we look at how the real Greek system influences the show Archi133 and Twiguy Episode 2 If it's the Kappa Tau set it must be a party scene And Spencer Grammer is taking a last look at Casey's lines I need to get back to the party so sober sister, this is for you I didn't order this But who exactly is miss Casey Cartwright ? You guys suck Casey sort of at the top of her game looking to become president of her sorority Getting an education She's kind of the next president in line She's really training herself to do stuffs like that She's Frannie go to girl Like a henchman in some ways I guess She got to get things done Land Rebecca Logan and you could be the herit of my throne It's in the bag Casey is the center of a lot of things at the sorority She is dating the goldenboy on campus and she's the goldengirl life couldn't be more perfect until Rebecca Logan comes into the picture I heard about Evan hooking up with Rebecca Logan How whore ! She's ugly and I give her a bit this morning Did she accept ? Seriously ? Be Casey as an actresse is the greatest gift I'm funny, Casey is a funny person Do you want me to become a social piranha pariah, social pariah How did you think it was piranha No one wants to hang out with a piranha Not that I am a funny Cas, she can have a good time And she Like I always say very tridimensional She's not perfect all the time She's kind of your every girl She get's put in awkward situation How about some breakfast ? Last night was a one time thing It wasn't just one time last night I get to laught and I get to cry that's awesome, it's just the best for an actor So Spencer is seeing chuffed in playing Casey but how did the tv approched the casting process You know it's weird When we were casting it took us a while to cast Obviousely the hardest two parts were to find Casey and Rusty They were actually to the last parts we were able to cast We were exited because he wanted to find all new talent scratched to know that we weren't pitching somebody from the we literally had a blank slate That we could bring any kid that we want to 99% got switched somewhere along the way and then maybe switched back So Jacob Zachar was Dale and then got Rusty Scott Michael Foster was Calvin and then got Cappie Dishad was Amber was Ashley and then got Rebecca And Spencer Grammer was always Casey -Always I was in NYC And it was maybe my third audition They put me on tape and we always say "The black hole of LA" you go on tape they send it out there and you never know She sent it and as soon as she sent it we were like : -"We're done" -It was it I like to say I won the part of Casey I was very lucky Obviously everyone knows my dad is "Frasier" I think it was just funny for me to say that It really changed my life in a lot of positive ways I can by more expensive cloth Glad to hear it Spencer But what about Casey ? Hi guys, welcom to the clothing department on Greek This is what we call their closets This is Casey Carthwright closet Casey is our most real girl Not real jeans and T shirt Because that would be boring on camera She's very slim So she wears a lot of fitted jeans She loves flowers because I think that's make her look cute This is a perfect little Casey shoe Nice little pump, not too high Not too unrealistic Nice little pattern lather Cute little bow We've got her ZBZ Which actually should start using more of Nice jeans If they have the red tag, there are very expensive Sweet dress, this is a perfect Casey dress She's not Ashley She doesn't have to go over the top She doesn't have to be loud to express herself Spencer is a She's the hottie of the show She's the hottie and she makes all hair style a dream She's our little doll, our body doll She's sophisticated, she's pretty She has leadership qualities So it's very important that she'll be clean and put together all the time This is a young lady who thinks about here appearance She'll be natural if she's in pijamas Just like any girl who would And bump it up when she's going to a party And that she get sexy too She got such a great face with her eyes you can really do anything with her eye make up every thing looks really cool so we can experiment and do all the latest trans on her The same with her hairs It gives her a sex appeal That some how she comes off his unaware of having Casey is the girl who has it all Including a little sister from hell Rebecca and Casey did not get off on a good foot In the beginning In part because Rebecca was very high-handed with Casey to begin with And I know that I am like a campus celebrity Which is so weird just because my dad is a senator and rich and famous and whatever But please, no special treatment Except for your own room in the house And maybe my own tivo And then of course she slept with Casey's boyfriend which is never a good way to start a relationship Here's the thing: Evan Chambers is my boyfriend Rebecca does not know that Evan has a girl friend or anything Evan doesn't tell her Oh my god ! Rebecca kind of go Well, how awkward for you I read that, I just thought Who says that ? I mean who really says that I would be embarrassed and sorry No, Rebecca you know, that's just such a terrible problem for you Maybe you should spend a little less time on your sisters And a little more time on your boy friend It kind of form this rivalry between the two of them Casey and Rebecca relationship on folds in a sense that they are enemies I guess you could say that Rebecca is Casey's nemesis I have decided that I am going to be Rebecca's big sis' Casey choose Rebecca as her little sister It sort of an example of the expression "Keep you friends close and your enemies closer" I think that's just so that she can keep an eye tight on Rebecca Rebecca Logan must go Now, they will be some Greek words I want to rush a fraternity Would you excuse us pledge -Legacies -Didn't understand a word she said That sound unfamiliar, we need some asistance Stepp forward with Kappa Tau's lingo lieutenant Welcome to the Greek system The Greek system It's a campus organization full of fraternities and sororities I will join a fraternity ! A fraternity, the bond of brotherhood You can join an other sorority and be their star Sorority is a group of girls It's like a fraternity it's just the chick version mean sisterhood The Greek system, it's magic, it's whimsical Beaver has spoken So what influence the real Greek system had on the show I was in a fraternity at university and it was a lot of fun There's a lot of different people in the room who have been into different universities, fraternities and sororities So everybody's in put I am very proud to say that I am a Greek It exemplify my feeling in the nature of the show It's perhaps the first time you ever been away from home And you're going thought the machinations of life Learning about the trials and tribulation You share fears, your enthusiasm, your goals That's really what the show is about I wanna have a real college experience I wanna have fun You don't know how to have fun But I can learn, isn't that what college is for Being part of the Greek system For me, I really learn it was about brotherhood, about charity And sort of networking and finding people of similar interests Ladys College is really a place where you figure out who you're gonna be for the rest of your life And there's a great speech in the pilot (1x01) All but 3 of the US presidents since 1825 were in fraternities I like the idea of having a group of friends Who share a sense of tradition fostered by an institution that's over two century's old Brothers for life You know, brothers for life And rusty's sort of vision for what a fraternity would be about And not only the legacy and the history But really about creating those life long bonds Here you go, got it And then of course, the party's Oh yes, party's, having fun, drinking games And I've got two wonderful words for you Bear pong It's a game that Rusty had no clue how to play Two players squares off on theirs respective sides Each taking a turn, hitting a ping pong ball across the table With the aim of making their ball land in one of reversals cups of bear It comes down on one person and it happens to be Rusty who has never play the game before The players who drinks all the cups looses It was something that the network was resistant against it first Because of what it seems to promote But one thing that's important to me is to portray college as accurately and realistically as possible This being such a big part of it seems to be a great opportunity to have the first head to head between Omega Chi and Kappa Tau be trough bear pong It was one of the only times that I got to be in the Kappa Tau backyard with all those people -So what number -I'm nine And if I Scotty Mick was playing I don't think I would have won I say that because I've played bear pong recently Spitter You're up I drink Odulls which is non alcoholic bear but I really drink like six Odulls in a row Which wasn't the most fun What you find out is Rusty is actually a dynamo at the game Because he had played ping pong so much in the eagle scouts So a brake trough for Rusty as he become a Kappa Tau hero But there's a greater challenge ahead : Big sis' Casey Why does every conversation with have turn into a vocab test ? Forget it Be realistic Rus Be my sister Cas Casey and Rusty for me is more personal to my life because I have an older sister Growing up, I was the annoying little brother chasing her around Wanting to hang out with her and her friends Why couldn't you just stay out of it, he's my boy friend, it's my business Their relationship is important because I feel that it's also something that we haven't really seen before in television with Brendan and Brenda Walsh they always go alone famously But my sister and I we fought constantly But at the end of the day there still that love Now that there're stuck at the same school together there gonna be forced to There gonna be forced to converse with one another and get alone because there's no escape Call you later No, Casey wait do you know What you have is this relationship at the core of the series That allows us to tell personal families story's about that relationship And thematically tie into the other brothers and sisters that are in these different fraternities Where we go with the series is how they compliment each other How Casey inspires Rusty to be more outgoing And then Rusty for Casey is kind of her moral accomplice But she becomes much more aware of that in life not every thing is black and white I just wanna be part of your life So you're gonna see Rusty and Casey Kind of stuck to kill that awkward tension of being a brother and sister By developing into a friendship This world's new for you too Which one ?
