The Getaway (2024) s01e02 Episode Script

Some A-Grade Genius Thing

1
- MS. TERRY: Last time,
on The Getaway
- What am I?
- Alright, nice.
- Oh yeah.
- Snitch.
- Why did Ms. Terry need us
to do trivia in a desert?!
- Boston, I don't believe.
And Jersey, I don't bel
(Matt cracks up, growls)
(others clamor)
- GEORGIA: Oh, that's not
- I hope I was convincing enough
to not act like I didn't know
what the answer was.
- For a second I was like,
are you the Snitch too, man?
- The wheels are starting to turn.
They're considering that
there could be other Snitches.
- I also don't like
that you guys are friends.
- If I were the Snitch,
I'd play it like you did,
and you're the only person that
I'm thinking about the question.
I'm going, maybe Matt would
know the answer to that.
- And the final vote
- It was really tough
to vote out my friend.
- I wanted Steven.
I ended up with Matt.
- You're actually
not the only Snitch.
Do you want to know
who else it is?
It's, ah
everyone.
- You mother— (wheezes)
Dude!
Fuck yes! That is so good!
Oh god, my entire brain
just recalibrated.
(Matt laughs)
- SAM: Yeah.
Everyone got assigned the Snitch.
Technically we never lied to you.
We never told you
there was one Snitch.
- That is correct.
Damn! Oh, it's good.
It's so good.
It's so good!
(Matt laughs uproariously)
(motor revs)
(horn honks)
(crew laughs)
- So, I presume
it was one of you two
that voted for me.
Do you want to share?
- One of us?
- I'm not gonna lie.
Yeah, I did vote for you.
- Okay, fair enough.
- I ain't gonna lie like that.
- I did not. I voted for Matt.
- I voted for you
because I
I ain't gonna lie, the ethos.
When you're manoeuvering
these social settings in your videos.
I know that that might
just be an aspect of you,
and that might not actually be you.
But damn, you do
a really good job at it.
- Fair.
- And and it sells.
- Okay, fair.
I mean, I'm not going
to take it personally.
As I say, it's such a dice roll
at this stage.
- It's just the totality of it
versus the totality
of what Matt
- Oh yeah, I totally get it.
I don't think it was
a dumb call.
I just think it's—
Well, I know it's wrong.
- Crazy thing is there could be
no Snitches left now.
We could just be
We're still gonna have to vote.
We could just be suspicious
of each other for no reason.
- Is that how the game works?
- I think so. I think
we have to vote every time.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
- They don't pull somebody aside
if somebody's a Snitch,
and they're like,
"Hey, you're the new Snitch"?
So say if we did
eliminate the Snitch.
- I didn't think—
- They pull somebody aside,
and they're like,
"Hey, by the way,
you're the new one."
- Oh.
- ♫ (bluesy big band music)
- Alright.
- Safety first.
- Try to shut the door.
- Get your seatbelt on.
- Oh, man.
- GEORGIA: Enjoy.
- Drop him!
- So, how is this gonna work?
(door slams shut)
(contestants cheer)
- Damn!
- And he doesn't lift.
- And they
didn't even film that?
Did they not film that?
My god.
- DAN: I just learned that,
finally, they can hear us.
- FOREIGN: Yeah, they can.
- DAN: I didn't know.
I found that out because I looked
at Sam's Instagram story yesterday,
and I heard us talking,
and I was like,
"Who are those assholes
talking in the background?"
"Oh, that's us!"
(scattered giggling)
- Okay, do we—
What do you think this challenge
is actually going to be?
- We need you to rob
- Hide-and-seek is fun.
- a polygamist family of 18.
- (giggles) Pretty much.
(others giggle)
- Good luck. They got numbers.
- Oh, this could be a hike.
We have to gather stuff
as we climb up.
- Man, look, if it's
something like that,
endurance-based, count me dead.
Just kill me.
- Endurance, surely—
- What about treasure hunts?
- Walk— If it's walking or running?
Honestly, very concerned.
Walking long distance or
running long distance, no.
- It could be a treasure hunt
that they've hidden
all kinds of stuff out there.
- Wait, this is a golf course.
- DAN: Oh man.
- FOREIGN: It is a golf course?
- PATCH: It is a golf course.
- FOREIGN: Okay.
So, we were right the first time.
- Sorry, do you have a key in your—
- We're going into a golf community.
- Okay, yeah, golf community.
Oh, lord.
- Sky Mountain Golf Community.
Here we are.
- Topgolf.
- Is it mini-golf?
- Oh my gosh.
- Well, this is a golf course.
- It is, but bear in mind.
We are just gonna sit
and play Snakes and Ladders.
- I'm gonna—
I'm getting hitting balls far.
- Next to the
- But really small strategic shots,
I don't think I'm good at.
Because I'm very impatient.
And I don't know my own strength.
- Okay.
- That's awesome.
I absolutely know my own strength.
(Foreign and Georgia laugh)
- I'm very
- It's not a lot.
Sometimes I see a big door,
and I go, I'm not going in there.
(Foreign and Steven laugh)
(phone ringing)
- You got it?
- Hello?
- MS. TERRY: Hello, and welcome
to your second challenge.
Today you'll be divided
into two teams of two
and compete to provide
the best service
to the patrons of my restaurant,
the Getaway Diner.
Each diner will enter with $100
and a strict rubric for
high quality service.
If you meet all their expectations:
their food is properly cooked,
their water stays refilled,
they don't wait too long, etc.,
they'll tip you all $100
for the Loyal Loot.
Expectations you fail
to meet will cost you.
Any money you don't earn in tips,
they'll drop in the Snitch Stash.
The team that earns the most
money for the Loyal Loot
by the end of the lunch rush
will also earn safety,
meaning you cannot go home
at tonight's vote.
One of you will not be on a team,
and instead play the role of host.
This person will not
be eligible for Safety
but will decide which diners
are served by which team.
Patch, because you put
the most money
in the Loyal Loot
in the last challenge,
I'm giving you the power to
pick the teams and the host.
Good luck.
- Oh no!
- Okay.
- I want to!
- Oh no!
- So, we split into two teams,
and one team is safe
from the vote?
- Not the host.
- So I decide the role of host?
- Everyone but the host.
- Or I am the role?
Oh dude, it's all me.
- It's all you!
- (laughs) I'm sorry, it's all me.
- That's a pretty sweet gig.
- I'm sorry,
I'm taking the host.
- But that means you're
not free from safety.
- I'm not free from safety.
- Okay.
- But yeah, no, I get it.
I totally get it.
- Okay, sure.
- Yellow He has to be blue.
It's not even a maybe.
- Oh, I think I gave you both.
- Oh.
- He's got— He's all the blue.
He's all the blue team.
- I'm the whole blue team.
- You're the whole team.
- We got this.
- I'm in for it.
Yeah, this is
- Alright.
- We got this.
- Okay, we got it.
- MS. TERRY:
Three, two, one, go!
- STEVEN: Where do we go?
- PATCH: Welcome to
the Getaway Diner. Who's first?
- How are you doing today?
- Very good, thanks.
- What can I get for you?
- How you doing?
- Good, how are you?
- You're looking very nice,
very dapper.
- I'm gonna grab you a glass of water
in just one second.
Thank you so much, sir.
I'll take this from you first.
- No, I'll just hold on.
- Okay, okay.
- Foreign, we got an order.
- One chocolate milkshake
and one vanilla milkshake.
- Grilled cheese and a water?
- Yeah.
- What's the other one?
There's two of them.
There's one right behind.
- One plain grilled cheese
with a
- STEVEN: Pancake?
(laughs) Can you please
decide a little bit faster?
- Give me one
strawberry milkshake.
- DAN: Grilled cheese and a water,
and then what else?
- Grilled cheese,
tomato grilled cheese.
- Tomato on the grilled cheese?
- Yes.
- On the first one?
- No, second.
- Second one.
So, one without, one with?
- Right.
- Okay, thank you so much,
I'll take the menu.
(stopwatch beeping)
We need a plain pancake
and one strawberry milkshake
with extra strawberries.
Ultimately, I had to go into that
trying my absolute hardest.
Especially because yesterday,
I had to make it that we win.
Even if there wasn't
immunity on the table,
I would have tried really hard.
But the fact that
there was immunity there,
I put a lot of eggs in that basket.
- Hi there, sir, what can
I get for you today, sir?
- Great, that was very quick.
Could I please get
- Otherwise, I've been
trying to put
a lot of suspicion on Foreign.
And I think Foreign's
doing a lot of things
that are making him
look suspicious.
- Get a water, get a water,
get a water!
- We have a tomato cheese
and a milkshake.
- DAN: Another grilled, okay.
- FOREIGN: Yeah.
So as soon as I got
the challenge info,
I was already beginning to think
about, okay, how can I mess up?
I plan to trip.
I plan to butcher orders.
I purposefully took
my time at times.
I splashed one of
the patrons with water,
and I tripped and fell.
(Foreign wheezes)
(Zara laughs)
(Foreign and crew
laugh uproariously)
- Foreign, it's okay!
Focus on the mission!
- Stay strong. Stay strong, man.
- Which was probably
my most risky thing to do
because it looks pretty obvious.
But I think I got it off of me.
Oh, that wasn't on there?
I am so sorry.
- TRENTON: I thought
you did it on purpose.
(Patch laughs)
- No, I am so sorry.
- PATCH: I hope you got it on camera.
- What, you want water too?!
- I need water, yes.
- Give this fish a water,
man, shit.
(blender revs briefly)
- DAN: Yes, this is for you.
- Okay, got vanilla, got chocolate.
- FOREIGN: Thank you.
- I was hoping It would've
depended on my teammate,
but I'm like, I either mess up bad,
or I go for the win.
And I'm like, I think
that we could win it.
Because safety, you don't
have to even worry, right?
(blender revving)
- FOREIGN: Be right with you.
- DAN: And you're waiting on
one grilled cheese, right?
- Yeah, yeah,
one grilled cheese.
We still haven't gotten
the first one.
- This griddle is really weak,
so it takes a while.
- FOREIGN: Okay, got you.
- Hi there.
Here are your milkshakes, sir.
Thank you so much.
We put strawberries on top
because cherries don't exist.
That's your chocolate one
and your vanilla one.
Are you okay for water?
Shall I get you some more water?
Thank you so much.
We're out of water!
Can we get some water?!
I'm out of water
And I have no idea
what to do about it.
And then I find out
there's a hose.
I don't know where the hose is.
Where's the water? Where's the water?
Where's the water?
- Thank you, bottomless pit.
(overlapping shouting)
- Don't you— This?!
No, I—
(Georgia laughs)
You're kidding me!
Eventually I find out
where the hose is.
I run, jump off this ledge,
and then I step on the hose
and spray myself
right into my face.
So that was a particular highlight.
I stepped on the damn hose!
- What time is it?
How much time does he have
until his grilled cheese?
Sir in the straw hat?
- GEORGIA: Anything else
that you want besides—
- I stepped on the hose.
It didn't go well!
- I just wanted to know
How long has it been,
do you know?
- You have less than two minutes.
- Okay, alright,
we only got two minutes
to get this man his grilled cheese.
- Wait, two minutes?
- Two minutes.
- Give me one minute!
- Alright, good.
- Does he want tomato? No, right?
- No.
- They're missing my tomato.
I simply said two tomatoes
on my grilled cheese,
and I just heard them say
no tomato.
- How you doing?
Your pancake's just on the way.
We appreciate your patience.
Please don't leave us.
Everything good?
No complaints?
- Two grilled cheese.
- He needs two?
- Yes.
- He needs two.
Alright, here's one
for the first person.
- Okay.
- Okay, Trenton says
he needs tomato on his.
- Two with tomato?
- Oh, he needs tomato on his.
- Wait, Trenton needs tomato?
- PATCH: Yes, he needs tomato.
- This one has tomato on it.
- Okay, good.
Okay, here you are.
- Nope, I ordered it with tomato.
- PATCH: I told you.
I just— Didn't I just say?
- No, you said it for him.
- That's $10 in the Stash.
- FOREIGN: So I've been
slowly trying to put a
non-suspicious amount of cash
into the Snitch Stash.
I knew that if I was
put in a position
where I was the go-between
rather than the person
preparing the food,
I can then frame the person
that's preparing the food.
There's no tomato in any of these.
- I was told
one didn't need tomato.
Does one need tomato?
- Okay, then this is yours.
- Trenton wants
the one with tomatoes.
- Does he want tomato on it?
- FOREIGN: We need to do it—
We need to redo it
because he got the wrong one.
- Okay, then
- Just act like it—
Okay.
- Alright.
- We could act like that one—
We could act like that was new.
- Let me just check on— (scoffs)
- Hi, how you doing?
No, no, no, no, sir!
- You just lost $10.
- No, sir, but I—
- You just lost your tip.
- Hey, what can we do?
- Hey, Ms. Terry,
can we get a grill looked at?
We don't think it's working.
- Wait, wait, sir!
I'm so— I'm so sorry.
Sir, sir, hi, no
- I have to go.
- No, please.
- I have to go.
- I need this job!
- GEORGIA: How many points do we lose
if it's just not cooked all the way?
- STEVEN: Hey, no dude,
don't you leave!
What's going on?
- GEORGIA: Oh no!
No!
- Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
- No, these are good pancakes!
- Our god damn grill doesn't—
- DAN: And a water?
- FOREIGN: Yes.
- What the fuck is
wrong with this griddle?
These are not—
This is not working conditions
that I can operate under.
- Look, it ain't no George Foreman,
but we can find
something to do with it.
Yeah, I don't know
what the hell it is.
- I didn't even sabotage today.
I didn't even have to try
and sabotage today.
I just walked up to a griddle that
was colder than a devil's tit.
What? You're not trying to
help me out at all, man.
How?!
- We're doing okay, it's hard.
- (whines) It's not alright.
I don't know how to turn it on.
- DAN:
Is your griddle working, guys?
- STEVEN: No, it sucks!
- DAN: Okay, it's not, right?
- STEVEN: Yeah, but the
grilled cheese got rejected
because it wasn't done enough.
How hot is this thing?
- It's not hot,
if I can touch it.
- Okay, it's a little bit
hotter than you said it was.
But okay.
- Okay, okay, start.
- You want whip?
- Don't worry about it.
- No, I can get it. I can fix it.
- It's too late.
- This can be fixed.
- It's too late.
- Okay.
- No, no, no!
Whoever's sitting there,
it's not too late!
What do you want?
- It's too late.
- No, the kitchen's
talking to you.
What do you want?
By the way, I feel like I was
kinda working harder
for the Loyals to do well
than Foreign was.
Foreign was kinda
cracking under the pressure
of being a server.
How you feeling? You good?
- Bro.
- It's alright, it's alright.
- I've never felt like more of a failure
since high school.
- No-no-no-no-no.
Do not think like that.
And I was like,
it's gonna be okay, man.
It's alright.
I was trying to help him out.
- STEVEN: We got two minutes
on that pancake tops.
Sorry, the grilled cheese.
- Strawberry?
- Two minutes on the
grilled cheese tops.
- I— It doesn't heat up.
- Need some water over here, please!
I don't have any water.
(stopwatch beeping)
- PATCH:
I got your water right here, sir.
So, my role is the easiest.
And I think that might've
been a mistake
to choose that for myself.
I think I might have just been
casting suspicion on myself.
But I was doing my best
that whole time
to keep both teams on track.
I was refilling waters.
I don't think that was
even part of my job.
But I was trying to make sure
that everyone was happy.
- How's it going out there?
- They're mad.
- Doing great? What?
- They're very mad.
- That's okay,
everybody's been mad.
Even on their side too,
I hear them.
And they're floundering.
- PATCH: Anything I can do for ya?
- STEVEN: Oh shit!
- PATCH: We have a new customer.
If we could get water here.
- Hi sir, how you doing today?
Here's your menu.
You look familiar.
It's nice to see a regular back.
- Yeah, you know.
Just really love the service.
- STEVEN:
Took my jug, motherfuckers.
- DAN: Hey, hey!
- Do you not want us
to get money?
- Do not take our water!
- FOREIGN: Yeah, but
- GEORGIA: Who gets the chocolate milkshake?
- FOREIGN: You're trying to sabotage us!
- STEVEN: I'm not sabotaging you!
Do you want us
to all win money,
or do you want
none of us to win money?
- DAN: I do not trust that— okay.
(overlapping shouting)
- You feel hungry, Robbie?
- You know, honey,
I absolutely do.
- I'm feeling pretty hungry, too.
- Just want to move these
out of the way for you.
You know just
just trying to, you know
This is chocolate, right?
- PATCH: Our guest is thirsty.
- Alright! And here's some
chocolate and vanilla milkshake.
- You were drinking those?
- No, you weren't!
No, he didn't!
(Matt laughs heartily)
- ALEX: Can I please have
a fresh milkshake?
- I can get you another one.
But these were fresh for you.
- Are you gonna come back
with the same ones?
- No, absolutely not.
I'll never do that.
- Pinky promise?
- I can't give you my pinky.
I mean, just because
I have these in my hand.
- ALEX: Okay, fair.
- And these will definitely
not be the same ones
that I'm bringing you back.
Can you please put
this in another one
so we can bring 'em back to him?
- GEORGIA: Let's just lose—
Let's give them—
Let's serve the blueberry pancakes
and we'll lose the points for it,
and they'll just be uncooked.
How's that?
- I don't know if we get
any points for it, do we?
- Yeah, 'cause they served
the right thing.
It just was undercooked.
- Okay.
Georgia did great though,
because she adapted
and quickly realised
that it's just a case
of getting the food out,
even if it's not cooked,
and that's better than
not getting the food out.
And I don't know if I would've
made that connection
in my panic mode.
So, she was great.
Did you order a blueberry pancake?
- I sure did, but also a blue—
- We get points for the fact
that we gave you pancakes.
(Georgia laughs)
And if we had a griddle
that flipping worked
you'd have cooked pancakes!
- PATCH: Are you okay?
- STEVEN: Oh, wait, don't you worry.
- PATCH: Stay with us, Georgia.
(Georgia laughs hysterically)
- Chocolate chip— Chocolate—
I need chocolate chip
pancakes for table one!
- PATCH: We're okay.
- STEVEN: Can we get chocolate chip for
- They brought it. They brought it.
- (Georgia continues laughing)
- We need chocolate chip
for table one,
then we get this order correct,
even if they're not cooked.
- (squeakily) Give me like
I really was doing my best.
I know it may not
have looked like it.
We just kept on getting pancakes.
And I wanted to actually
get all of it right.
Which I wasn't doing
the math in my head
that as long as I get
all the ingredients
and they have a
semblance of a pancake,
I'm gonna get more points.
So by getting so many pancakes
that we couldn't even give out,
we lost like a ton of it
- BEN: This is disgusting.
The fact that in three seconds
if he doesn't get his milkshake
- Three seconds!
(stopwatch beeping)
- Three seconds
of a milkshake one?
What color?
- ROBBIE: This is ridiculous.
- I don't know
I don't see colour!
- DAN: You, sit down!
Sit your fancy pants down!
(stopwatch beeping)
- TRENTON: I don't have my order!
- Please get this man
a god damn piece of pancake!
No, no, no, not again!
Come on, man!
- DAN: Trenton, you came in
a second time!
- He didn't even drink
his milkshake!
- PATCH: Let's bus the table.
- You tease!
- STEVEN: Have you got
those chocolate chips?
Good job. Hey, sir.
Don't worry, raw egg won't kill you.
It'll just make you very ill.
(Georgia and others laugh)
Look.
That's correct, even if—
Well, this is a deep
philosophical question.
Hi there, sir, thank you so much.
- Look at this, get this.
- GEORGIA: We gave you extras.
- STEVEN:
Yeah, because you're leaving.
- GEORGIA: You wanted a second milkshake?- - PERSON: Yes!
- GEORGIA: You want a
second milkshake real quick?
- Since we were being measured
on how brown our product was,
since griddles were
no longer an option,
I would put chocolate
ice cream onto a pancake
to make it browner.
So then at the end, I approached
one of our patrons,
and I said, here's your
brown pancake, sir.
And that's the biggest tip
that we got.
Did he like it?
- FOREIGN: They're cool.
- We're okay, we're okay.
- We're crushing it.
- Oh, man, this is great!
Okay, we got money, bro.
- You gotta think creative.
- We're doing it, man.
- You know, tipping more
is encouraged.
This is America.
You wanna set a good precedent
to the British guy
about tipping culture.
- Take 50 bucks.
- Thank you.
Was that supposed to be 60?
- No this is going
in the Snitch Stash.
- Get three more diners now.
- FOREIGN: This is what
we're talking about, bro.
- Give me a good tip.
- That's it, that's it, mine!
Gosh!
- Alrighty.
- You know what's done for us today?
- I do! We did it!
- It's all gross. It's all gross.
- Alright, gross hug, gross hug!
- Oh my god.
This was ridiculous.
(phone ringing)
- STEVEN: The phone!
- What?
- Oh, the phone's ringing.
The phone,
the phone is ringing ♪
- Ms. Terry, we missed you.
- Your griddles suck!
- MS. TERRY:
Eh, calm down, thank you.
Of the $2,000
up for grabs in this round,
you returned $1,090
to the Loyal Loot.
That means you let $910
move to the Snitch Stash.
As for the matter of safety:
the blue team, Dan and Foreign,
returned $500 to the Loyal Loot,
while the yellow team,
Georgia and Steven,
returned $590.
This means Georgia and Steven
have earned safety
and cannot be eliminated tonight.
(Georgia squees)
Congratulations, you two.
And now, everyone
get back in the car
and head to your next stop:
the Belly of the Dragon.
- Thank you.
Oh my god.
- (laughs) Oh my god,
I can't believe it!
- Oh my god, that was so much.
- Very hard.
- It looked impossible.
- It's not easy.
- I thought I was going
to throw up at one point.
- I wonder why, Sam.
I wonder why that looked hard.
- I think that
after I performed
kinda bad on this last challenge,
there might be a little bit of
"hmm, weird."
But at the same time,
I'm still feeling pretty good
about my odds.
I still don't think that there's
that much of a suspicion about me.
- I didn't do any sabotage
because I thought
I'm in a bit of a vulnerable spot,
so I need to absolutely fix that.
And what I realised when
I was thinking about everything
is my best chance is to
ally with one player.
And that gives an insane
advantage in the game.
So, I had this whole plan
mapped out
and I took Georgia to the side.
Can I talk to you?
- Yeah.
- STEVEN:
I basically said to Georgia
So, you're the person that
I trust most right now.
I think we just have to place
a bet on people at this stage.
I'm placing my bet on you.
If I'm wrong, then I'm
going to die on this hill.
I'm happy to do that
until the end of the game.
- GEORGIA: I'm good.
- STEVEN: We get all the way to the end,
and we're golden.
Okay, we did really good.
- GEORGIA: It lucked out.
It lucked out that I have safety.
We got money into the Snitch Stash,
and I feel like I have
a safe alliance.
I really do trust Steven.
I know, that's a horrible
idea to say that,
'cause right away,
things are gonna go poorly.
But— And we get to
choose who to vote.
Because if Steven and I
are voting as a bloc,
then we only need
one more person.
I think that we're
going to listen to
what everyone else
says for their pitch
when we do the discussions.
So we're not really sure.
We're thinking maybe Patch,
but I'm not really sure.
- So my plan
is still going to be
to stick with Foreign and Georgia.
I think I really need them to
turn against Steven and Dan.
Unfortunately, Steven has safety.
I think it's gonna be,
I have to make sure
that Dan is gone today.
- If Steven and Georgia
didn't get the safety,
then it would be
all Steven, all day.
Between Foreign and Patch
I'm gonna try and go with
the flow of the conversation.
Although I know Steven's
probably gonna be like,
"We should all take out Dan,
because without Dan,
then we wouldn't be suspicious
of each other at all."
- Right now, I feel
pretty confident
that Foreign will go home.
Based off my conversations
yesterday with Dan,
Dan is a bit suspicious
of Foreign, too.
Dan's on the chopping block.
He has to put suspicion
on Foreign.
Patch is kinda neutral.
Everyone thinks Patch is
pretty good right now,
so he's not going to go.
So it's going to be
Dan versus Foreign.
Dan's already sus of Foreign.
If me and Georgia
go for Foreign,
then it should be a slam dunk.
- I've made alliances
with Patch and Georgia,
and I think that's gonna
carry me to the next round.
So what I think I'm gonna do is
I'm gonna work on Dan,
because Dan is
very magnanimous,
very laughable, easy to like.
So what I'm gonna do is
purposefully try to sabotage Dan
and sow seeds of doubt
around Dan.
- Look, I know the folks at home
want me to win this one.
I'm gonna do everything in my power
to convince people tonight
that the banter in the van
is gonna suck without me.
To be honest?
This Snitch thing is very stressful.
You know, it's a lot resting
on my shoulders, you know?
I'm really carrying
this entire series.
Both in, you know,
talent, charisma
and I have this special role.
I go to bed at night,
and I worry, Sam.
I wasn't crying then.
- I hope that Georgia
doesn't screw me over.
She's so intelligent.
I'm really not— I'm not
underestimating her at all.
Patch is also super switched on.
- Okay, I have a question.
We're all Snitches, aren't we?
Because you've
designed a show
such that it can look the same
whether there's a Snitch or not.
It's just a theory.
It would be wild.
- SAM: Okay.
- But, I also saw how quick
some of the other contestants
were to throw shade yesterday.
And I'm like, okay,
if I was a Snitch,
I might say that
if I was really nervous.
So
That's it.
- Thanks so much for waiting.
- No problem.
- VALENTINA: Thank you.
- ADAM: Alright.
(equipment clattering)
(crew crosstalk)
- VALENTINA: And speed.
- I could feel my heart rate
go to like 150.
That happened way earlier
than I thought it might.
I hope our answer was believable.
That is really interesting.
And to be honest
I thought if anyone's
gonna get it, it's him.
- ADAM: I think the
interesting question is,
does he try to say it
to anybody else?
And I don't think he does.
- Right, because that is
a very risky thing.
I don't think he does it today.
- No, but he could later.
- Hmm, we'll see.
- Because the thing is,
if they all figure it out,
then they should align,
and they should refuse to try
any of the challenges.
Now, we have plans for that.
- Mhm.
Anyway, let's see
how this plays out.
- See what he says.
- Alright.
- TYSON: You good?
- Yeah, we're good, yeah.
Let's get some lunch.
- VALENTINA: Thank you.
(slate clap)
(Adam whispers inaudibly)
- STEVEN:
I mean, I think everybody
I think everyone put their
put effort in there.
There was no one throwing.
- Oh, no.
- It was insane.
- Yeah no, that was hard.
- Everybody was in hell out there.
- I'm beginning to wonder
whose team Ms. Terry is on.
- I think there is a good chance
that Matt was
that we got it in the first thing,
but we do still have
to pick someone.
I think it's
– out of the three of you –
the least likely
to be Patch currently
because you got both of your
questions right on the first day.
You could have done some
A-grade genius thing
of doing that to build
a load of trust.
But that's without
overcomplicating it in my head,
that the most likely option
is that you're safe.
That's fine.
- I can say on top of that
I tried really hard to help
both of you guys out.
- You did.
(Sam babbles)
- Did someone tell you what happened
in our last confessional?
- Adam told me the gist.
I mean, how do you feel about it?
- Well, I think it's
I wanted at least someone to get it.
- AMY: I wanted someone
to get it later.
- SAM: Yeah, I would have hoped
for a little bit later.
Here's the thing.
If anyone was gonna get it,
it was gonna be Patch.
- AMY: He's a gamer.
- They love thinking
through strategy and all that.
And Patch will have done that.
- AMY: The thing that is keeping
this secret safest for us
is that even if you are onto it,
it is so dangerous
to reveal your theory.
- Because you have to admit
that you yourself are a Snitch
in order to reveal it.
And the other thing that
is advantageous for him
is he now knows
that money will be
generated for him.
- Yeah, but the other Snitches worry
about the money
and kick him out.
- And then so, he knows
that he can just focus
on making it to the end.
And by not having those
two competing interests,
he has the best chance of
anyone to actually do that.
- I saw you take
Did you attack someone?
What happened?
- I didn't do that purposely.
(Patch laughs)
- Oh!
- I did not want to throw water
at the patron's face.
I don't think that's
good for business.
But the thing is,
he still tipped me.
- Oh, for the water?
- Yeah, because
I gave him the water.
- GEORGIA:
You really gave him the water?
- Yeah, 'cause I was just like,
you're welcome. And
- Yeah, I guess they
can't take away a tip
for just getting splashed.
- He got water.
- He got the water.
- Right before you threw
water at Trenton's face,
you went back and
told Dan the order.
And Trenton was like,
"That's not what I ordered."
- Does he want tomato?
No, right?
- No.
- They're missing my tomato.
I simply said two tomatoes
on my grilled cheese,
and I just heard them say
no tomato.
- I came back and was like,
"Wait, make sure you get
tomato on the grilled cheese."
- Yeah, you did.
Okay.
- Trenton says he needs
tomato on his.
- DAN: Two with tomato?
- Oh, he needs tomato on his.
- Wait, Trenton needs tomato?
- PATCH: He needs tomato.
- This one has tomato on it.
- Okay, good.
- And it still came out
with no grilled cheese,
or no tomato.
So I was like, look,
that's what I—
That was the only
moment I thought
- Right.
- What's happening here?
- Okay, here you are.
- Nope I ordered it with tomato.
- There's no tomato
in any of these.
When I brought up
both sandwiches
none of them had
tomatoes on it.
- Yeah.
- And it's not just
my word on that.
- Yeah, we had that moment
where you thought,
oh, maybe you just
switched the plates.
- Yeah, because I looked—
I gave him the next plate.
That's the thing, it wasn't
that I gave him the wrong order.
I was just like,
"Oh, you didn't order that?
Okay, then it has to be this one."
Because you got—
you gave me both.
And then he was just like,
he flipped it open.
And the denouement was just like,
there was no tomato
on either of them.
- First order I got was for
a grilled cheese.
The second order I got was for
a grilled cheese with tomato.
The first two things that I made
were a grilled cheese and
a grilled cheese with tomato.
- None of them—
- I know that as a fact.
- One of them didn't have it.
But I don't know if it was—
- The second sandwich
that I made had tomato on it.
I can promise you that.
- He didn't give you
any tomatoes on yours?
- No.
- TYSON:
No, this does have tomatoes.
- DAN: I was told
one didn't need tomato.
Does one need tomato?
- TYSON:
There is tomato on this.
- None of them had it, right?
- Right.
- None of them had
tomato on it.
- Second sandwich did.
(door rolls open)
- FOREIGN:
No, I'm saying that this is hard.
I'm— I have to nitpick
because it was so hard.
- No, no, no, yeah.
- Because we all
It really did seem like
it was all on deck.
And the only thing that I keep
on arriving to is just, like,
what the hell happened
to the flickin' tomatoes?
- Mmm.
- Right.
But it does cause—
- If I can make my case
for the tomatoes for a second.
Swear to god, second sandwich
I made had tomato in it.
The first thing I did
when I got to the table
was slicing tomatoes
because we had talked
about prepping tomatoes
for making grilled cheeses.
- I remember that, I do recall that.
- Say, as we talked
about in the van
- Right.
- the Snitch has
already been found out.
- PATCH: Yeah.
- Yeah.
- Then, I think
priority should be who is
somebody that's the most likely
to keep losing points for us.
Is something to consider, at least.
So then I look at Patch, and I go,
you kind of rocked
every single round.
And you talk about how much
you love games, and I go,
alright, well, I'm voting
to keep Patch on.
- I'm doing what I can, but
- FOREIGN:
And also, by the way
the only reason why
we're not discussing you
is because we can't discuss you
because y'all are safe anyway.
So it just doesn't save any purpose
in this discussion
to discuss y'all.
- So then it comes down to
the only thing that went
wrong in that challenge
was the fact that you claim
that you made a tomato sandwich.
You're saying that there was
never a tomato sandwich.
You're saying that there
was one on the table.
- And you were saying
that the sandwich didn't go out.
It was on the table,
but didn't go out to the place.
- It was an option.
It could have not gone out.
Swear to god,
on my end, I'm like,
these are the tasks
that I need to complete.
I got them done,
refilling water consistently.
Yeah, so a lot of it does come
down to the grilled cheese.
The great grilled cheese
debate of 2024.
- The tomatoes.
What happened to tomatoes?
- Tomatogate.
- First thing I did
was slice the tomatoes.
- Anyway, let's start heading back.
We're getting cold out here.
- GEORGIA: Yeah.
- STEVEN: This sucks too because
the more that we do this,
and the more that we discuss this,
the more I feel good
about our Matt choice.
- GEORGIA: If that's the case,
then we have to just go on
whatever happened that
challenge, which kind of sucks.
- STEVEN: We still have to go
based on probabilities
because we could be
wrong about Matt.
- GEORGIA: Ah, this makes
this so much harder.
- But ultimately,
probably Matt. (laughs)
It's just this whole thing.
Ah, yeah.
- Probably Matt,
but at the same time
- Maybe not.
- I don't want to rule it out.
- We can't, we have to still
operate as if there is a Snitch.
Because that's how
we could get screwed.
Because if someone's
playing like a
a very sneaky tactical game
they might be playing a long game
to build a load of trust.
So if we eliminate the idea,
if we go, there's fully
no chance there's a Snitch,
then we could be
screwing ourselves.

I absolutely thought
that this was the last time
I would ever get a vote.
The only reason why I'm here,
in my opinion
Dan falling victim to Tomatogate.
I branded it perfectly.
Kept saying Tomatogate,
Tomatogate, Tomatogate.
And it worked. (wheezes)
- That basically went
exactly as planned.
From the moment
Foreign and I locked eyes
during that cooking challenge,
I knew.
I got Dan right between the eyes.
I knew it was over.
- That's a really hard vote.
I definitely question
if I made the right decision.
And all the way,
the entire day, I was thinking,
who do I want to go
to final four?
The reason that
I went with Dan is, one:
that Patch already felt really
comfortable with choosing Dan.
And I think that
Dan also has so many skills.
He's so multi-talented,
that if it's something
where it's with people
or being funny
or figuring stuff out,
he's really good.
So I'm not really sure
if I made the right choice.
This could be one that I regret,
