Re-Modeled (2012) s01e03 Episode Script
The Gummy Bear
If you're passionate about this kid, I'll be passionate about this kid.
Ok.
Done.
Annelise learned just how brutal the modeling business can be.
You look like you're a scared cat.
He was so mean.
And ultimately, Paul pulled the plug.
It was a mistake to send this kid to New York in the first place.
I said it from day one.
Send her home.
Just kind of got crushed.
Tonight, Paul travels to Orlando, where an agency owner pushes him to breaking point.
You're lucky that I'm here today.
Do you know who the [Bleep.]
am? That's not a model.
That's not a model.
This is how you destroy my reputation.
And Annelise is given one last chance.
I'm not gonna give up.
Nothing is gonna stop me.
My name is Paul Fisher.
I've represented some of the world's most famous supermodels-- Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Carre Otis.
The list goes on and on.
Most supermodels aren't discovered in New York.
They come from small towns all over the world, but the New York agencies steal them away, make all the money, and get all the credit.
That's why created the network.
My goal is to link together small-town agencies, make them over, and create the next generation of supermodels, but if you want to join the network, there's one rule.
You have to do things my way.
I'm in a pickle 'cause I'm fickle don't know what to do 'cause a girl has a right to need a change of view Hey, guys.
Where's Olga? Hey, guys.
Sorry.
Sorry I'm late.
You cool? Yeah.
I was just on the phone.
Sorry, you guys.
Ok.
I was setting up castings with sole society and Silver jeans for Annelise.
We brought Annelise to New York for fashion week.
She struck out.
Got sent home.
You look like you're a scared cat.
Hey, mom.
So I just got the news I'm coming home.
I gave it everything I had.
You're like a broken record.
Am I her biggest fan? No.
But Olga, Olga believes in her.
How many times are we gonna keep doing this to this girl? A lot of new faces go to New York and don't get a show, so that's not an excuse to give up on a model.
Ok.
And guess what? If she gets the job, she books it, I will give you your kudos, and I will put it to bed.
Thank you.
Here's my question.
What if she doesn't get the job? That's what I mean.
Are you done? Can we not bring this kid up anymore? Look, I'll admit that I was wrong, but I don't think she's gonna strike out.
From the pictures I've seen, JT's right about this one.
I don't want to be the one to tell Olga she's wrong.
Olga's from the Bronx.
She'll kick your ass.
You're probably walking her in there.
No, I'm not joking.
Really? Can I tell you why? You're coming with me.
Ok.
You, Joseph, and myself, we're off to Orlando to meet with Holly Caputo, who owns Emerge in Orlando.
It's one of our agencies.
And by the way, she's struggling.
She actually represents 900 people.
Oh, my gosh.
We've got to thin this place down, have her focus on just a few kids, not a thousand kids, 900 kids.
It's ridiculous.
JT, I'll be checking in on you, ok? Do your magic, ok? See you guys later.
Bye.
On our way to Emerge.
We got to check out the agency, we got to check out the models.
We go to see what the hell this woman is doing.
What sparked my interest about Holly, she was like a firecracker.
The goal today, we gotta let her know that, you know, there's a very, very different way to do business.
I wanted an agency very, very close by to Miami that I could kind of go through the back door.
And because this woman was so damn aggressive, I wanted to give her a shot.
I'm Holly, and I'm the owner of Emerge Talent.
My whole thing is I want to make dreams come true.
I want to be that person.
I'm not gonna play the game of let's try to figure it out over the phone.
The economy really killed us.
I'm not making a huge amount of money.
You click on your breakdowns.
After the recession, a lot of the department stores that were in this area that we used to send people to, they all left.
I'm gonna say no 'cause he's too young.
Holly's been working so hard, you know, for 5 1/2 years and trying to, like, juggle everything.
By joining the network, I'm hoping to have great people who are supporting me and guiding me, and to outgrow the small town stuff.
We are here.
Wow.
That's issue number one.
I could tell by the xerox taped logo up on the office door, I really got my work cut out for me.
I'm gonna show you different spots that I don't dig.
So spot number one, that sign right there.
It doesn't look like a talent agency or a fashion agency.
It just looks a little bit grim, kind of like a crime scene.
Look who's here.
All right.
All right.
How are you? Hello, beautiful.
Good to see you.
Good to see you.
So should you show us around real quick? Yeah.
I can show you guys around.
Joseph, make a couple of notes on carpeting for me.
I want to see if I can maybe work on that.
So far I'm seeing urine stains on the floor.
What do you think about the carpeting and everything here? The carpet is horrible.
So, the floor, the carpet.
Yeah.
This place is completely unorganized.
It's hot as hell, and it stinks.
You know, we've put a lot of time and effort as well as money into it.
Into this place? Would Naomi Campbell actually walk into a place like this and say, "yeah, this is the place for me.
" You cannot let people walk into a place that looks like this.
If somebody's willing to do the work and put up the dollar, them I'm-- You know, that's awesome.
If somebody's willing to do the work? Is that what she just said to me? Whose agency is this? It's her job.
It's her responsibility.
The reality of the deal is this is your image this is your brand, beautiful one.
Got a little bit of work to do.
It was a [Bleep.]
hole.
There was no air conditioning.
It felt like I was in someone's mouth the whole time.
What's this office? This is our official office.
Hey, you guys, I'm Paul.
Hi.
Hi.
Ok, so this is-- This is the office.
This is the office.
Where do you sit? Usually-- Sometimes I'm standing.
Other times I'm behind them because we're working on something.
Ok.
But if you have a private meeting with somebody or you're negotiating something, where do you do that? Then it just depends.
It is a tight quarter.
Sometimes-- Do you guys get hot in here? Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Is it hard to work under this kind of environment? Be straight up.
You're not gonna lose your jobs.
Ok? I mean, especially when there's more than 3 people here.
Right.
Now if you bring a couple of models in here, it becomes 5 and 6 and 7 people, is that kind of tough on you guys? Yes.
That's a little bit tough? Ok.
What time do you guys show up in the morning? Normally about 10:00.
About 10:00? Uh-huh.
You get in at 10:00 in the morning.
And at 10:00 in the morning on the East Coast, what time is that in Paris? I have no idea.
Yeah, that's the problem.
I start at 5:00.
How do you deal with Paris? How do you deal with Milan? How do you deal with any other place? 'Cause you get in at 10:00, so now it's 4:00 in the afternoon in Paris.
So do you know the difference between catalogue and advertising? Um.
Like.
I don't even know.
Photos.
Like in the book, the basic-- Ok.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.
The staff, beautiful kids that want it, zero experience.
You're here to help Holly.
And I say what's the difference between catalogue and advertising, you have no clue.
I don't know about you, it scares the [Bleep.]
out of me.
You know, I think we definitely let down Holly not being able to answer those questions on the spot.
We should know the ins and outs.
You know, shouldn't stutter or stumble when asked a question.
I have a company called the network.
I have agencies all over the world.
This company here represents me.
Since you guys have been here, what's the biggest job you've booked so far? One job.
Tell me straight up.
Pretend Holly's not here.
Let's start with this.
$200? Higher.
Higher.
$500? I'm not hearing anything.
They're not inexperienced, they have zero experience.
So my question is, we know this is about finding new young stars to make famous.
How we doing with that so far? We've definitely brought on a lot of models we think you'll be impressed with.
I cannot wait to see them.
I can't wait to show you.
Ok, clear out and let me spend a few minutes with Holly.
I got to rap to her about a few things.
Ok? Right now.
Thanks.
It's gonna be a very long day.
Cruising round the park on your skates everybody knows that it's all of the rage Hey! How are you? How are you? I'm good.
Come on.
I'm so happy.
I haven't seen Annelise since fashion week.
Olga is still 100% on board with Annelise.
For me, I'm not so sure.
I'm still on the fence.
I just wanted to kind of go over a couple of things, you know, about what we can do to hopefully land you more jobs.
Yeah.
You know.
After my experience in New York, I've definitely got to step it up.
I have to get a job.
I'm going to get a job.
After Fashion Week, I went home and I ended up losing my job at the cafe.
I've heard about that.
Modeling is starting to cost me a lot more money than it's making me.
Whenever a girl is not booking any jobs, whenever there is a lack of productivity on her chart, you have to come up with a game plan and you have to change their image.
You have to do something radical.
When I was sitting across from her at dinner, I was looking at her, I'm thinking what could we do differently with her image? What could we do to win over these clients? What I think we should do is cut your hair, bleach blonde, have bangs, flat across.
It's important.
I don't know.
Is this something you've discussed with Olga? No.
No.
Is she? I haven't discussed it with anyone.
You want to call Olga and talk it over with her? Yes, please.
You know.
So let's give her a call and just-- 'cause it just-- It doesn't-- It rubs me the wrong way.
Hello? Olga.
Hey.
Annelise and I are having dinner.
And we're trying to come up with some solutions to book more jobs.
In my head, I was thinking of maybe cutting her hair and taking her platinum blonde with some bangs.
And to really severely change her image.
So-- Oh, my God, no.
I am not allowing this to happen.
I do not agree with this.
I think she looks great the way she is.
For right now we need to stay as is.
I can see tweaking Annelise's look, but making a drastic change at this point in her career should be up to a photographer, not JT.
As new face director I have to come up with certain suggestions to try to make this girl work.
You understand where I'm coming from, right? You know, she's already edgy enough, why not, like, change her hair and just give her some kind of a different dimension? For right now, I think she needs to stay the way she is and see who can kind of mold her and make her that girl.
They didn't like any of it, so I was defeated.
So to start with, how long have we had the agency? Emerge has been around for 5 1/2 years.
How are you paying the bills? I'm drowning.
You have about 900 kids here making $15,000 in profits for you.
Don't you think something's radically got to change? Holly's not putting enough time into really cool kids.
She's creating a situation where she's got hundreds and hundreds of kids, and those kids make pennies.
How does one person take care of 900 people? We may have to go from 900 to 50.
The first part of the transformation is to work on her head so she understands that she doesn't know.
And I'm gonna do whatever the hell I got to do to fix this place.
This is my reputation.
Absolutely.
This is my name.
This is like-- I've built 25 years of my life-- Of course.
To build a reputation, and I walk in, there's a candle in the other room, [bleep.]
Stains on the floor.
You've got a staff of people here who they don't even know the difference between catalogue and advertising.
Hey, you can only do one thing at a time.
And it's the question called money.
And we're not making it right now, Paul.
I live in reality.
Bring me Olga right now.
Olga, let me ask you a question.
Have you ever seen a New York modeling agency with this color? No.
What do you think of purple in a modeling agency when we're trying to create supermodels? I think it's awful.
You think it's awful? It was just a color that we chose to-- I want you to be honest with me 'cause that's the only way I can help you, Holly.
The reason why it's purple is the same reason your dress is purple.
It's 'cause it's your favorite color.
I'm trying to change the modeling industry.
Of course.
I need modeling agents to have an image and have a brand at the highest level.
But the thing is that we have grown so much-- Grown? In the last-- sweetheart, those are your models.
That's not-- Those are your models.
Why is that old lady right next to that little kid? And if you think anyone of those are models-- Let me tell you what these people are.
This is how you destroy my [Bleep.]
reputation.
These are not models.
That is not a model.
That is not a model.
That is not a model.
That is not a model.
That's not a model.
That's not a model.
That's not a model.
Sometimes my passion gets the best of me.
But it's coming from a place of love.
These are not models.
It's my reputation.
Now you're a superstar, now you got to listen Now I guess what we're gonna do is we're gonna take a look at some of your models.
And you're gonna see a lot of our new faces that I do think that that some of them really have it.
With Holly representing over 900 kids, I need to see her best models.
Who's actually earning money for this agency? Joseph.
Let's bring in the first model, buddy.
To me, first impressions are everything.
I hope this first kid she shows me is a killer.
What is your name? Chris.
He's not a model.
We just don't see it, brother.
Thank you so much for coming to see us.
Ok, really appreciate it, though.
Thanks.
Ok, let's go.
Next.
That was her best kid? Holy [Bleep.]
.
How old are you? 20 years old.
You're over the hill at 20 if you haven't started.
I'm 28.
Bring in the next person, please.
The proper age for a new model-- 15 to 18 years old.
How old are you? Too old.
24.
The proper height 5'9" to 6-feet tall.
How tall are you? 5'7".
Thank you very much for your time.
So who cares if she's 5'7".
Kate Moss was 5'7", right? Somebody broke the mold.
She's 5'7", she's 24.
As a model, she will not make any bread.
And any false hopes we give a girl like that, you're damaging that girl.
How tall? 5'10".
Men should be 6 foot to 6'2".
How tall are you? 5'10".
The girls are gonna be the same height as you.
I'm one foot shorter than these people and I could still make a better model than them.
Thank you, brother.
We should only represent people that we can actually make their dreams come true.
Hi, how are you? You have a very beautiful vibe.
Well, thank you.
Bring in the next model, please.
How old are you? I'm 18.
You are prettier in person than you are in your pictures.
This is Holly's responsibility.
Every model must have incredible photos.
Samantha.
You have a very beautiful body.
All these pictures are just horrendous.
How do you sell a girl who's got a beautiful body and the pictures are cut off below her knees and there's only one body picture in the whole group? But I didn't know she looks like this.
Look at the boobs.
Look at the body.
But she didn't have this when she was here last time.
Look at this body.
But she didn't have that before.
That's my point.
No! She didn't have those boobs before? When was the last time you were in here, sweetie? This weekend to do a shoot.
You were in here this weekend? When you came in this weekend, let me ask you a question, this is gonna be a killer.
Ok.
Did you have those boobs? Yes.
This weekend? Yes.
Did somebody from this agency, anybody in this agency, say, "wow, you have boobs.
You're sexy.
I want body pictures"? No.
So what are we talking about now? Now I've got an agency with a woman who every other word says "but.
" What is your name? Heidi.
Hello, Heidi.
Smile for me.
Ok, thank you very much for your time.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Have you ever seen more gum like that in your life? But unfortunately, my meeting with her was so brief.
How do you meet a girl for the first time-- I just-- Didn't I just-- I'm sorry, but I just said I met her briefly, I haven't had her in here.
You met her briefly and why would you not have her smile? Because I didn't have time because we're in the middle of scouting hundreds of people.
Wait a minute.
You don't have time? You don't have time to say to a girl, "smile"? It just took me a quarter of a second.
So my question is simple.
If the girl is gonna come meet powerful people-- Because I was not in charge of that.
Then whose [Bleep.]
fault-- Then whose fault is it? Then whose fault is it? The pictures are ugly.
The girl doesn't have a bathing suit picture.
The guy's 5'10".
Whose fault is it? It hasn't been your fault on any one of these things.
And what I need to do before I leave here is for you to say, you know what, I should have had her smile.
Bottom line, I should have had her smile.
Sure.
I should have had her in here.
I should have had her smile, but I don't have the time.
I haven't gotten to meet with every person who is in here, that I haven't had time and had a chance to do the one on ones, to have everybody in here-- But, sweetie, I haven't seen a model yet.
You're gonna send a girl to Calvin klein one day.
And then he's never gonna call you back.
If I'm a major casting director, which she is, the next time Holly calls you and says, "I've got this great girl," are you gonna be like, "oh, my God, it's Holly! She's got a great girl"? Or are you gonna say, "she may have just had a brief meeting with the gummy bear"? Now that I've seen everything that Emerge has to offer, I'll be starting from scratch.
Come on, everybody sing if you want to go faster they're going on my spaceship Hi.
Annelise and J for Nina and Tolita.
Sole society is a huge company.
I think it's right up Annelise's alley.
This is Annelise.
Hi, Annelise.
Tolita.
Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you.
Welcome.
The style's quirky and different.
Very much what Annelise is all about.
And I think she would be perfect for them.
We're gonna have you just try on some of the shoes, get in front of the camera, and take a few shots.
Ok.
This is absolutely an amazing opportunity.
I just have high hopes for it and thinking pretty optimistically.
So solesociety.
com is an online shoe club.
Annelise, what we're looking for for the sole society girl is really an organic, natural, not too poesy, not too cataloguey feel.
Turn down just a little.
I have a very different natural, organic look that I think they're going for.
I'm very down to earth and I think they could see that right off the bat.
A little more relaxed.
Slightly.
Whoo! Don't know if I can do that in these.
Yeah, be careful.
Those are really high heels.
A couple of more smiles, Annelise.
Relax, relax, relax.
I think we're good.
Bring your chin down a little.
I think we're good.
Ok.
Ok.
Thank you so much.
That's perfect.
Thank you.
Thank you, guys, again so much.
Thanks.
Bye.
Hopefully I'll talk to you soon.
Nice meeting you.
Thanks.
Nice to meet you.
Good luck.
Have fun in L.
A.
Thank you.
Bye.
Ok, I'm done.
Hey.
So how'd it go? I think it went really good.
Super green.
I don't know-- She has a hard time with direction.
Yeah, she can't take direction.
Very sweet.
But to me, she's just not a model.
Do you feel confident? Yeah.
Good.
'Cause we have to run.
We have to go.
We have another casting, so we got to run.
Let's go, let's get out of here.
All right, so I guess I'll call her agent, JT, and let him know that it didn't work out.
Joseph, bring in the Emerge staff.
I'd like to have a meeting with everybody.
Right now, little brother.
Holly's staff doesn't even know what models look like.
So I have to go back to the beginning, to the basics with these people.
Hi, everybody.
Hi.
We have to come to the realization that there are no models inside this agency.
What's the age range that we're looking for? Between 16 and 18, 19.
Yeah, 16, 19.
We're looking for kids over 5'9".
So here's the assignment.
Very, very simple.
You guys got 24 hours, find me kids.
I think tomorrow we'll prove to Paul that we can bring him killer models and bring us for Holly, our agency, killer models.
And, Holly, the boss, all I saw today was zero responsibility.
The only way you can train this staff is if you take responsibility.
'Cause what I saw today was disappointing, straight out.
I walked into this place, Holly-- It's tough 'cause you have to take responsibility.
I'm willing to take responsibility.
With no buts? Don't say "but.
" Please, I'm begging you.
Right now, straight up, don't say "but.
" Tell me what took place today was something that we're not gonna grow upon to make this place 10 times stronger.
Tell me that.
Tell me that.
That's the plan.
The fact that Holly's a fighter and she's feisty, these are qualities that attracted me to her.
But can I actually get through to her? I don't know.
Find a kid.
Bring him back to me tomorrow.
I'm gonna judge you on the kid that you find.
All right? Thanks, everybody.
I gotta go.
Joseph, get me my car.
He's trying to ask a miracle in a short period of time.
And I was ready to walk out the door.
Let's talk for a second.
I'm so frustrated.
If I had hair, I'd pull my [Bleep.]
Hair out.
Maybe we made a mistake.
She's not getting it.
She's not hearing you.
Each agency must find one star.
She's never gonna do it.
She's thinking about 10 bucks here and 10 bucks there.
We can't waste another day, another couple of days to try to tell her what works and what doesn't work, what's good looking, what's not good looking.
But that's what we're here to do, Paul.
We need to change her.
What? That's what the network does.
We need to change her.
You talking to me? You talking to me? Where's my car? Get my car.
He-- What's that? What's that? She's driving me crazy.
He's telling me how to run my [Bleep.]
business.
I don't think we can do this, Olga.
I don't think we can do this.
I'm thinking we should probably head over where all the art departments are, and there will probably be lots of interesting people.
We are scouting for killer models, like, trying to find the next big thing.
What about this guy? We'll prove to Paul that we have heard what he's been saying.
Have you ever modeled before? I haven't, no.
Have you ever thought about modeling? Yeah.
We are with an agency called Emerge.
We're scouts and we're scouting for new faces.
Can we give you one of our cards? Yeah, definitely.
Cool.
I think we raised our bar completely based on Paul's feedback to us.
Thanks, Erin, so much.
We're on a whole different level now.
And I think the quality of models that we will be bringing him will be nothing compared to the models he let go.
I wanted to talk to you a little bit about the casting for sole society.
Ok.
You didn't get the job.
They called.
And the reason being is that they felt that you were maybe a little stiff.
Ok.
You know, this is one of those many nos that I'm gonna get.
But, you know, I know I'm gonna make it, no matter how long it takes.
So this job, you really got to nail it.
Ok.
The other job we can, you know, I don't want to-- we can get past that.
We can get past that.
This is the one you really need to work on.
Ok? The next casting is for Silver jeans.
They are a denim company that has a worldwide presence.
This could be a great job for Annelise.
Are you ready? Yes.
Let's go up and nail this, ok? All right.
The name of the job is to get it.
Let's go.
Hi.
Hi.
JT and Annelise for Michelle.
Hi.
Welcome.
Thank you.
Michelle is over here.
Annelise? Hi there.
Nice to meet you.
Michelle? Thanks for coming.
So we're just gonna have you try on a couple of jeans, couple of looks for the fall campaign shoot, see how you look in them, and then we'll go from there.
I'm gonna start by having you try on A size 24.
They just have to look great in the jeans.
I mean, that's the first criteria.
I may need a 25, 'cause I can't get them on.
Ohh.
Oh, boy.
I really hope that she can fit into the next size because she needs this job.
Here you go, Annelise.
Same jeans, size 25.
Thank you.
Quite a lot of mediums, right? Yeah, yeah.
National consumer, "Elle.
" Yeah, national consumer print, "Elle" magazine, "People Stylewatch"" "Nylon" magazine.
"Lucky.
" "Spin" magazine.
"Lucky" magazine.
And then we're running a couple of outdoor-- Regional outdoor campaigns in New York.
And then there's a billboard, Sunset and La Ciegna.
They'll be some worldwide usage.
She needs this job.
It's huge.
This could be a great job for Annelise and push her career past and skyrocket her to the moon and make her a huge fashion model.
Do a twirl for me.
Oh, the 25 is perfect on you.
Give me a little-- A little jean attitude.
So I'm gonna give you another look.
Take a look at her book.
So we have tattoos on the arm.
We have-- Yeah, she has tattoos.
A little bit on the-- We can cover those if you need.
I like to be aware of what we're working with.
Annelise is different from the other models that we're shooting.
Yeah, let's see.
Ok, spin.
Let me take a look at where your tattoos are.
Annelise's tattoos are obviously beautiful artwork, bu they're not always right for a campaign.
All right, so tattoo here.
This is my most visible one.
Ok.
I have the small arm band.
I have the one on my side.
Ok.
And then my Florida pride.
Ahh.
Ok.
Ok, so you can get changed.
I'm just gonna take your book and look at the polaroids again with Tamara.
She has a gap between her teeth.
She has tattoos all over her body.
It's just difficult.
She's a hard sell.
Day two of the transformation, Olga, Joseph.
It's gonna be an interesting day, you guys.
Yesterday I found out Emerge has no models.
I know I've given them basically an impossible task.
They've got 24 hours to find me one incredible new face.
But I want to know, did they listen to me? Do they have a passion? Are they willing to take a step in the right direction? Come here, little one.
How are you doing, sweetie? Good.
Very cool.
How old are you? You're 20 years old.
How tall are you? 5'8".
5'8".
5'8", 5'9".
What do we think about this little kid? Definitely got the height going.
Ok, let me ask you a question.
What did we say yesterday? 5'9"? 5'9".
How tall did you just say you are? 5'8", 5'9".
Ok, cool.
So that's number one.
You're wrong.
What we said was 5'9".
The first comment is, you know what, Paul, she's not really tall enough.
That was kind of tough in front of the models.
Oh, man, I guess there's no where to go but up from here.
Tell me what your thinking is about this guy.
We saw him walking down the sidewalk.
He definitely had the height going on.
I like his eyebrows, love the hair.
Definitely has nice, strong shoulders.
Pretty slender.
Yeah.
And he's tall.
Well, yeah, definitely tall.
So, Olga, any thoughts about this young man? The height is too tall for modeling.
6'3" is already too tall 'cause they won't fit the clothes.
He does have good bone structure.
He has the look.
Still not completely there, but you're going in the right direction.
Great job.
It's a good improvement.
They're getting there.
You know, they're trying, it's a good thing.
Hello.
Hi.
How old are you, sweetie.
I'm 18.
You're 18.
How tall are you? I'm 6 feet.
Who found this little kid? Way to go, Tara.
18 years old, not 24 years old.
Not 5'7".
We're getting there.
Is she a model? No.
But she fits the requirements.
At least they're moving in the right direction.
Tell me how it went so far.
Tell me-- tell me-- What was the-- Did you wake up early? Did you stay late? What did you guys-- How'd you find the kids, you guys? Woke up early.
Definitely early.
Did you go with these guys? No.
Did you give them a strategy, give them any ideas? Did you think about going with them this morning? I was working this morning.
You were working on-- Anything having to do with the modeling industry? She let her team go scouting all morning without her? What kind of leadership is that? Ok.
Last night we had a meeting, and what we talked about was us completely taking responsibility.
What was the thought process about sending out your team when you're not going out with these guys? 'Cause I do everything.
And I was here a lot later than anybody else.
What time did you get to work today? 11:15.
And before that, your team at 8:00 in the morning was going out hustling their asses off.
She's still making excuses and not taking the initiative.
We know we need to find models.
Absolutely.
And now what you're gonna say to me is-- I know what you're gonna say.
It's 3 letters.
You're gonna say "but.
" What would you do, Olga? There's a job to do.
We're gonna go out and find a kid in the morning.
Would you not sit down with these kids and say, let's plan out a strategy, or would you just say, go do whatever the [Bleep.]
you want to do? I would guide them.
You would guide them? One models makes an agency.
One booking creates a career.
But we're a full service agency.
You forget that, though.
You're a full service agency that is ripping off your kids and not making any money.
I'm ripping off my kids? I'm not taking any money.
You have 900 kids, you did $100,000.
That means you're doing $30 a day for your kids.
So what took place this morning that made you $100,000? Tell me one thing that took place this morning.
One thing.
Just one thing.
How about this? How about you're lucky that I'm here today.
I'm Wait a minute.
I'm lucky? You're [Bleep.]
kidding me, right? Do you know who the [Bleep.]
I am? And I'm lucky? I'm lucky you're here? No, I'm here to do you a favor.
You're not doing me a favor.
Pushed me over the edge.
And I'm thinking to myself, maybe we just end this thing.
Let's go into the office and let's discuss if we should do this thing together, 'cause this is stupid [Bleep.]
.
Where's Joseph? I need some water please.
I know Holly's probably not happy right now, but I'm ecstatic seeing someone else get yelled at.
Did we make the right decision? Maybe it was the wrong agency.
I'm trying to figure out why we selected her.
What we need to do is figure out if this is the right match.
Because we all feel straight out that you're not listening to us.
I believe that there's a wall there with you, Holly.
And that you're not gonna let us in.
What is your dream? My dream is to create great people who do good things in the world.
And I believe, and you tell me if this is wrong, you went through an experience and now you want to give to the world.
And my question is, what happened? I was in an accident, went off the road.
I flipped over 5 times.
The firefighter came and cut me out of the car and said, you know, "I can't believe you're still here.
" That was the first thing he said.
It was my wake-up call.
In that moment it was, you need to turn yourself around and do what you're supposed to be doing.
Prior to the accident, what were you doing? I was a dancer, singer, actress.
Dancer, singer, actress.
It is what makes me breathe in this world.
Is it possible, because of that accident that you went through and who you are in your soul, is it possible that you've spread yourself too thin? Is it possible? Yeah.
I've spread myself too thin because I'm trying to be great at what I do.
I believe I was left here to do something.
You were left here to do great things.
I want you to do great things.
Are you doing great things for these kids? You're doing little things for these kids, Holly.
Great is creating the next Angelina Jolie, creating the next Madonna.
That's why I believe your life was saved.
Not to do little things for a bunch of little kids, but to do something special for one kid that gives back to the whole world and changes the world.
That's great.
I know something I want to be helped.
You have to put down your guard and you have to trust us and know that we're right.
I do trust you guys.
All right.
Now I want you to get the [Bleep.]
out of here.
Go home.
Take the day off.
I'll take care of your office today.
Come back and see me tomorrow.
I'll take care of I need you to trust me.
I can oversee an agency, doing it for a long time.
Am I right? Yes.
Holly's been through a lot.
I'm gonna help her.
There's a new way Ok, guys.
Boy, do we got our work cut out for us.
And guess what, we have no time.
Get me an interior design person asap.
And it's got to look like a French modeling agency.
We need to knock down that wall.
Purple.
Purple.
Joseph, I see purple anywhere ever again, fire that person.
So, Paul, are you gonna change your shirt? What are you talking about? It's purple.
Holy [Bleep.]
.
I'm actually starting to wear purple and it's pissing me off.
I'm in purple hell.
What the hell's going on with me? Stage this place, get me that person on the phone, get them over here.
Like now.
Now, now.
And get me a new shirt.
Wow.
We're gonna make a decision right here on the spot.
Oh, great.
I can't wait to hear if I got it or not.
I would be super ecstatic if I got it.
Feel good, huh? Yeah.
The clothes fit well, huh? So, what do you think? It would be a big deal to me, definitely.
Absolutely.
So here's your book back, Annelise.
Thank you.
So I'd like to offer you the job tomorrow.
Oh, my God.
Yay! So.
Sorry.
Sorry.
I just can't-- I'm so happy for you.
I'm so excited I almost want to throw up.
I just booked my very first major job.
It's gonna be worldwide.
I am more than ecstatic right now.
Hug you? Yes, yes, yes.
Thank you so much.
So it shoots tomorrow.
I'm hoping you're available.
I'm gonna be here.
Yay.
I don't care what else is going on.
Great.
Great.
Oh, my gosh.
One of the things that drew me to Annelise initially was the gap in her teeth.
I think it brings a really kind of cool edge to her.
So early call time.
Get your beauty rest tonight.
Annelise is a tough sell because she's an edgy girl.
However, she could end up being an editorial model that blows everybody away and surprises us all.
Come here.
Ahh! Are you so happy? Oh, my God, yes.
I know, it's huge.
This is my first actual paid photo shoot.
This is like my big gig.
When I work, I'm gonna be making as much as it takes me 4 or 5 months to make.
It's so satisfying.
This is big for you.
This is so big.
I know.
I want to call Olga.
I want to call my mom.
I want to call my friends.
Hello? Olga? Yes? I want to just be able to, like, scream it and everybody hear it.
I do.
I do.
I just booked a Silver jeans campaign.
Aah! That's so great.
I'm so happy for you.
Yes.
I'm so excited that you screamed.
I promised Annelise I would fight for her and never give up.
I was right.
We shouldn't have changed her look.
I was totally right.
Yeah, you were right.
I will give-- I will give-- I will give that to you, sister.
This campaign can totally launch her career.
JT and Paul better lay off now.
Pretty mama, now put it on the dance floor shawty is dancing with me now go here, tell me what you think, girl When I first got here, no model would ever walk through these doors.
It looked terrible.
Now it's my turn.
Let me show my commitment to their success.
Today's a big day.
Yesterday was tough.
The day before was even tougher.
But today is gonna be perfect.
Holy [Bleep.]
.
Where's my covers? Where's my covers? I got to the agency early to check on the progress.
And the magazine covers that I specifically told Joseph to hang up on the wall are not there.
I'm gonna [Bleep.]
kill him.
I'm gonna [Bleep.]
kill him.
Joseph, where the [Bleep.]
are you? Pick up your [Bleep.]
phone.
Pick up your [Bleep.]
phone.
Where are my covers? This little [Bleep.]
.
Where are my covers on the wall? At 9:0--[Bleep.]
14! 9:14! 9:14! I have them.
You have the covers? It is 9:14.
She will be here at 9:30.
Get that [Bleep.]
done.
Get that [Bleep.]
done, bro.
So I hung the covers.
It took 5 minutes.
So that gigantic tantrum was for nothing.
Your first big advertising set.
I know.
Are you excited? Yes.
Silver jeans is launching their huge fall campaign with billboards in L.
A.
, Chicago, New York.
It's a huge worldwide campaign.
All right, good luck.
Give me a hug.
See you in a bit.
It's her first big job, so a lot is resting on her.
She's gonna have to live up to this job.
Annelise, we're ready for you in hair and make-up.
Today is a big accomplishment for me.
I feel like I have achieved a lot since may.
A lot.
I don't want to cry in my make-up.
Ha ha ha! You have the tooth.
I'm blowing your mind right now.
Tattoos.
I know I'm different.
Like, I know I have tattoos, I know I have messed up teeth for some people.
You know, but that's what I want to show people is I'm not your typical model, and I can do it the way that I am.
It all changed my perception of her.
I was proved wrong, and that's ok, 'cause ultimately it's not about me, it's not about Olga, it's about Annelise getting as many jobs as she can.
I go home, I come back this morning, and there's Paul and Joseph waiting for me.
Hi.
So as we discussed the last couple of days, nothing changes if nothing changes.
Of course.
We got a lot to show you.
Can we show you? We're very excited.
This is your new office.
Oh, wow.
Over night they redid my entire office.
We repainted the place, redid the logos, redid the branding, redid the stationary and the business cards.
Oh, my gosh! There's a hole in the wall.
We've got a bigger room.
We've got two rooms in one.
They get rid of the ugly purple slash pink wall.
Cool clocks.
Welcome to Emerge, guys.
If I was a model walking in there, I'd be like, oh, these guys mean business.
We are going to make you exclusive.
And that's why we've cut out the wall to separate from your team from you.
Not only did they redo my office, but now I have my own office.
You are the boss.
You are the leader of this team.
Oh, look at your nameplate.
Ha ha ha! This is the new Holly.
This is the new Emerge.
Are you excited? Very.
I love it.
This is way more space.
I feel definitely like we can accomplish a lot more work.
And just the whole atmosphere is way better.
It gives me more inspiration.
More professional.
I think she's on her way.
I think it's the first step and she's on her way.
This has been a couple of hard days.
Yeah.
I gutted your agency.
It hurts.
You worked so hard to put that together.
How did that make you feel when I did that? Um, you know, like you said, change is good.
And I understand.
I've definitely spread myself too thin.
Well, now I want to show you something very special.
After the transformation, we saved the best for last.
Holly, while my design team was working on your office, Olga has been scouting the area.
You're not gonna believe what she found.
Wow.
All right, Holly.
These are what real models look like, beautiful.
Take a look at your new faces.
Wow.
Amazing.
At this point, now I'm just overwhelmed.
All these beautiful people are now my new faces.
And I can't believe it.
These are what models look like.
Where do you find these kids? I'm on streets every week and these people don't exist.
These are the people you take care of now.
Ok? You hear what I've been saying the last couple of days? Yeah.
You hear me? I do.
You think I'm gonna let you down? No.
You think I'm gonna gut your agency and leave you empty-handed? No.
That's now what the network's all about.
That's what the network is all about.
It was really awesome that he was able to do that for us.
So-- I'm not done.
Now what? I'm gonna hand you a star.
Where's little Shaunnesy? One of the most exciting things about being here in Orlando, we found a potential star-- Shaunnesy.
Beautiful.
I'm about to hand Holly a star on a silver platter.
Hi, I'm shaunnesy.
Hi, Shaunnesy.
Great to meet you.
What do you guys think? Gorgeous.
That's not a Ralph Lauren girl? Oh, yeah.
I was really, really unsure of things, but by the end, I'm really proud of the network, not because they were just giving me things but because the whole intent was for me to actually grow from the experience so I could take things to the top as well.
Can I tell you something? Think good thoughts, share with the world, they'll walk through the door.
I promise you.
Step one is done.
But now we have to bring one of those kids to New York.
We got to make one of those kids famous.
I'm gonna show her how fast we can create a star.
We're on the same time? We are.
Come on.
Cheers.
Cheers.
To a new beginning.
Next time on "Remodeled" I had to drop high school.
You dropped out of high school? The network's rising young star, Megan, does something that puts her entire career in jeopardy.
And Paul looks to bring a new agency into the fold.
Joseph, that's that? It's a bedroom.
But can they handle Paul's tests? I've kind of had it.
This is why I'm taking the time-- You're taking the time? What about my time?
Ok.
