The Great Escape (2012) s01e03 Episode Script
Escape From the Institution
1 Eisen: Tonight, locked inside an institution that served as home to some of the most disturbed minds and is rumored to still be haunted to this day, three teams will attempt to escape this madhouse by running through a labyrinth of chaos to find me and win "the great escape.
" One of these teams is gonna defy the odds and manage to escape this institution built to keep patients on the inside.
I'm Michael, and I'm from sherman oaks, California.
Deja is my beautiful fiancée.
I'm confident this will actually strengthen our relationship.
Deja: We want the money for our wedding.
I am the pressure buckler, and he is the calm one.
I freak out.
My name is Rick.
And I'm Lori Ann.
Both: And we are the red team.
We've been married almost 22 years.
Basically, if I'm thinking it, he's pretty much thinking it, as well.
Most of the time.
I've been in the Navy for 19 years.
Being in the military for so long, I've been in a lot of different situations.
The stress, the pressure I can handle it.
Yes.
We're ready for just about anything.
I'm Martin.
This is Eric.
We're from South Boston, Massachusetts.
I've known Martin since I was 3 years old.
We grew up in the same neighborhood.
A little brains over here not much.
A little brains and a little hustle, you know what I mean? So, it could be a good combo.
If we can escape from South Boston southie We can escape from anything.
Eisen: Guards, remove their blindfolds.
Michael: All I can do is look up at this ginormous, scary-looking building.
All of a sudden, my heart just started pounding.
Welcome to the institution.
Built from bricks made at San Quentin and folsom prisons, psychiatric hospitals in America, abandoned since 1960.
It is said that the spirits of the institutionalized still haunt the corridors of this place.
Deja: This is unreal.
I'm about to run through an insane asylum where people might have died or crazy things have happened to them.
It scared the absolute crap out of me.
You'll start in the detainment zone, where you'll be restrained the way the patients often were back in the day.
Your goal is to break free from the restraints and find the escape-route map hidden somewhere in the room.
Now, this map will guide you through four stages on the way to freedom.
At each stage, you'll have to overcome a challenge before you advance.
It could be a mental or physical challenge.
It might involve finding hidden objects or solving puzzles.
You'll collect items that will aid in your escape and find four pieces of "the great escape" key.
Only when all four pieces are found and the key is assembled will my whereabouts be revealed.
At various points during your escape, you may encounter patrolling guards.
If caught, you must drop everything but your map, and you'll be escorted back to the detainment zone, where you'll have to escape your restraints again and return to the game.
After completing the four stages, your final hurdle is the transport zone.
The first team that gets from the transport zone to me with the properly assembled "great escape" key will unlock the box and instantly become $100,000 richer.
Good luck.
Guards, lock 'em up.
Lori Ann: Get in there and figure it out as quick as possible and get the hell out of there! That's pretty much all the strategy we got right now.
Deja: I'm a major control freak.
I can't get myself prepared for whatever's gonna happen to us.
It's just freaking me out.
Eric: When it comes down to right now, I'll tell you right now, I'll kick a f'ing wall through, and I'll make happen.
Eisen: Teams are now being taken to the 3rd-floor detainment zone.
Deja: As I'm being restrained, I'm thinking, "who in their right mind signs up for this type of thing?" When the bell tower sounds, the escape is on.
Lori Ann: Get me the heck out of this.
Michael: I'm blindfolded.
I'm in a straitjacket.
I'm completely helpless.
Eric: And your heart's racing.
Your heart's pounding.
You don't know where you are.
All right, all right, come here! Hold up! Talk to me.
Talk to me.
Come over to me.
Grab my mask with your mouth.
With your mouth.
With your mouth.
I'm gonna release your left hand, okay? With your mouth.
With your mouth.
Hey, take this off.
Right here.
This one.
I'll get you out.
I'll get you out, pal.
Lori Ann: Can't get out.
I've got my blindfold off.
Okay.
Holy mackerel.
Ow.
Okay.
Ow! Hold on.
Hold on.
I've got I've got I got it.
You got it? I got it, buddy.
Michael: Now get your own hand out.
Yeah, I'll get you out.
Just be patient.
We're doing good.
It's a straitjacket.
Just start undoing buckles.
Hold on.
Go.
Go.
Okay, find the thing.
You got to find the map.
Martin: Eric, under the bed, maybe.
Deja: There's nothing in here? It might be under the sink.
Under the sink.
Martin: Take your time.
No.
I got it! What? I got it! I got it, got it, got it, got it, got it! Let me see.
Let me see.
Let me see it.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Okay.
We've just got to go in here, down the hall.
Let's go.
Just go down this way.
Go, go, go, go.
Blue team has escaped detainment zone.
Okay.
Come on.
Let's go.
Once teams escape detainment, they must break through one of three doors that will lead them to a window with a rope made of bedsheets.
Then they must rappel to the second story and avoid guards who are patrolling the hallways on the way to stage 1.
Babe, I think we need to Need to do what? I think I need to break this door down.
Wait, no, baby! Sledgehammer.
Sledgehammer.
Sledgehammer.
Okay.
Watch out.
Okay.
Rick: Right here.
Right here.
I got it.
I got it.
I got it.
Lori Ann: Where did you get it? It was stuck over there.
Okay.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Red team has escaped detainment zone.
Aw, come on! Now we have no light.
Is that where we have to go? Where's the map? Blue team is already out.
Go! What are we what are we looking for? A door? A door.
Escape door.
Where?! Use sheet rope to rappel down, so we've got to go down right here.
Babe, look.
Put these on.
Put these on.
Deja: Our strategy was to stay hidden.
We saw the laundry bin, and we decided to put the sheets on us to cover up our colors.
We just threw them on and took off out the window.
Oh, God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
You good? Yes, just Okay.
You need to come all the way through.
Are you watching? You have to know how to do this.
Yes.
Go.
Can you kick that door open? I don't think we can kick that door open.
Does that door budge? Okay.
I'm coming.
Michael: Okay.
What do I do? Feet up against the wall.
Walk down the wall.
Pretend like you're just walking on a sidewalk backwards.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God! Around the door.
Okay.
You're good.
You're good.
You're good.
A couple more steps, and then I got you.
You need to put your feet around the door.
Okay.
I got you.
You're okay.
Keep walking down the wall.
Keep walking down the wall.
Lori Ann: Hey, what are you doing? Keep walking down the wall.
Step, step, step.
Come on, baby.
Come on.
I got you.
Two more steps.
Two more steps.
That's it.
I just want to go in.
Okay.
Okay.
Come on.
I got you.
Oh, my God.
Lori Ann: Hey, whoa! Geez.
Well, we're in.
Sheets.
Sheets.
Okay.
Bedsheets.
Okay.
There's something right there for rappelling.
Can you go down? How do I do this? Just climb down with the rope.
Okay.
Baby, I've never done this.
How do I do this without breaking my neck? For Lori, she's scared of heights.
Going down the rope would be the worst thing for her.
Come on, babe.
Come on.
I got you.
I'll be down here, waiting for you.
Just slide down the wall.
Slide down? Baby, just slide down.
Okay, okay, okay.
Okay.
Step out.
Oh! Oh, my God.
I can't do this, babe.
You can do it.
Where? I can't even see you! I know.
You're good.
Lori Ann: Rick, I can't do this, babe.
Babe, I'm gonna fall! No, you're not.
I'm right here.
I am right here.
Oh, my God.
Come on.
Come on.
I'm down here.
I got you.
Come on.
Where? I cannot see you! I know! You're good.
You okay? Holy crap! No! I got you.
I'll bring you in, okay? I can't.
Eisen: So far, the blue and red teams have made it out of detainment with their maps and are now on the 2nd floor, both searching for stage 1.
But the green team continues to struggle and remains stuck in detainment.
Martin: Eric, just keep looking.
Keep scouring.
It's a manila envelope.
The light's killing us.
- I know.
I know.
- Need a flashlight.
Oh, I got it! I got it! Me! Oh! Eric: Let's go.
Martin: Hold on.
Be patient.
Where we going? Eric: We've got to go right here.
We're going to stage 1.
Rehabilitation rooms.
Green team has escaped detainment zone.
Lori Ann: Where we going? Okay, where are we going? Work with me.
I know.
Okay, it's on the 2nd floor.
We're on the right floor.
Eisen: Remember, guards are patrolling the 2nd-floor hallways of the institution.
If teams aren't careful, they will wind up back in the detainment center.
Lori Ann: How do we read this map? I can't even see it.
Rick: It's, uh Okay, where are we at? We just came down outside.
I don't even know.
Go, go, go, go! Stop, stop stop! Shh, shh, shh, shh! Do we even know which way we came in? - Come on.
This is - oh, no, no, no.
Martin: We didn't know where we were going.
We were like two bats out of hell.
Watch out.
Watch out.
Let's go.
That is our way out.
Let's go.
Ripping the pianos off, boxes, chairs.
That's it.
Let's just get through.
That's it! Go, go.
We have it.
We have oh, go, go.
Guard: Red team, stop right there! Let's go.
Follow me.
The red team has been captured.
Let's go.
Rick: I was so pissed.
I saw him standing there, and I was like, "you've got to be kidding me.
" Pull.
Pull.
Come on.
Okay.
Michael: Watch out right there.
Watch out.
Watch out.
Okay.
Go, go, go.
It's one of it's one of these.
This one! This one! Babe, this one.
Okay.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Babe, look at shh! Shh! Shh! Eisen: In stage 1, teams will find themselves in one of three rehabilitation rooms once designed for patient "therapy," which contestants might quickly require once they realize they have to get into this locked cage and get at that box, containing a bone cutter and the first piece of "the great escape" key.
Deja: As I reached stage 1, the room is just covered in clowns and other toys that are really super creepy that you see in scary movies.
Ew! Oh, my God.
It's okay.
Ohh! Eisen: As the blue team continues to lead and begins stage 1, the green team is right behind, headed towards the 3rd-floor window, while the red team is being escorted back to the detainment zone.
Guard: I want you facing right here.
Lori Ann: Damn it.
We got to do this again.
That means I've got to rappel again.
Ow! What am I pulling? God! Martin: Right here, buddy.
Oh, let's be careful.
Here I come, buddy.
Eric: Get it, pal.
Let's go! Let's go, buddy! Come on! You got it, buddy.
Come on.
We got it.

Lori Ann: Come on! Get me out of here, please.
Ooh, I can't get it.
Help me, please.
Okay, let's go.
Red team has escaped detainment zone.
You okay? No, babe.
I'm not okay.
I was scared the first time, and I've got to come back and do this again.
Stay low.
Watch out, watch out, watch out.
Go, go.
Rick: Watch me, okay? Watch.
Lori Ann: Okay.
I'm watching.
Look where my feet are at.
See where my feet are? Okay, yeah.

Hand over hand.
I'm doing hand over hand.
Okay.
I got you.
Come on.
Rick: He's down there.
He's down there.
Lori Ann: He's down where? Down there.
He's down there.
He's there.
He's gah! Hey, how are we supposed to get down there if that's where he waits? I don't know.
Let's go.
He's coming.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on.
Guard: Green team, stop right there! We knew they were over here, baby.
Over here.
Yeah, we knew.
We knew he was coming.
Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh.
Mother We weren't even thinking about it, and who do we come across the first person? Both: A guard.
Green team has been captured.
Is he gone? I don't know.
I don't know.
Martin: Come on! He's coming! Come on, come on! Green team, stop right there! Over here, baby.
Over here.
Yeah, we knew.
We knew he was coming.
Mother Green team has been captured.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Michael: We're looking at this armoire, and there's just this box sitting there.
How in the heck am I gonna get this box out of a locked cage? Here.
Move, move, move, move, move, move, move.
Armoire.
Right here.
Deja.
Yeah? Come here You got it? I think so.
Deja: Mike reached up inside of the armoire and happened to grab the box, which was absolutely brilliant.
Here we go.
Here we go.
That's it, that's it, that's it.
We got the game piece.
Oh, this is the bone saw.
The bone saw.
Is this really okay.
Let's go.
We've got everything.
Let's go.
Go, go, go.
Blue team has completed stage 1.
Eisen: As the blue team successfully moves on from stage 1, red team is frantically searching right across the hall as the green team is brought back to detainment.
Martin: Take your time.
Come on.
Let's go.
We have plenty of time.
I got it, Martin.
I got it.
You got it? All right.
Come on.
Come on, Eric.
We've got to look at this map.
This map.
Sorry, buddy.

Deja: Shh.
Go, go, go, go.
Come on, come on, come on.
He's coming.
He's coming.
Go, go, go.
This way, this way, this way.
Are you sure? We don't have to go down there? Yeah.
This is the dorm yeah.
This way.
Hanging cage is right here.
This is the dormitory room, a mischievous setting for stage 2, in which teams must climb a rickety ladder, use their bone cutter to get through three ropes, which will then drop a 500-pound cage.
The cage contains crucial electric wiring and the second piece of "the great escape" key.
We need a ladder, babe.
Go look for a ladder.
Deja: When we finally got into the dormitory, that room looked crazy.
There was three huge boxes that looked ominous, with all these crazy lights through it and feathers everywhere and these disgusting beds.
I got it.
I got it.
I got it.
I got it.
Lori Ann: Whoa! Hey, what are you doing? I got to try and tip it to get it out of there.
Okay.
We don't want to break it.
Go ahead and grab the box.
I got it.
Don't drop it.
I got it.
I got it.
I got it.
Here I come, buddy.
Eric: Let's go, buddy.
Come on! You got it, buddy! Where's the saw thing you got the saw? We got to use the saw? Yeah.

Oh, and the saw? We ready? Let's go.
Let's go to the next one.
Red team has completed stage 1.
Quickly.
Quickly, quickly, quickly.
You can do it.
Go, go, go, go, go, go! This is so hard.
Go, go, go, go.
This is ridiculous.
Eric.
Watch out, watch out, watch out, watch out.
I don't know why it's not going.
Deja: Keep going.
Keep going.
Just keep going at it.
This way.
Okay, come on.
The red team's in here! Red team is in here! Come on! Babe, they're gonna catch up to us.
Lori Ann: Oh, good job.
He already made it through one, Mike.
He made it through one.
Let's go.
Eric.
Here it is! Flip it over.
Flip it over.
Watch out.
Watch out.
Watch your back.
Here it comes.
Martin: Heads up.
Watch out, Eric.
Pick it up.
Pick it up.
Eric: Shake it.
Shake it.
I'm trying.
I see it.
I got it, pal.
I got it.
Good.
Good.
Be patient, guy.
We're doing good.
- All right.
- Patient.
That's a tool that we need.
That's got to be the key.
Get to stage 2.
Awesome.
Let's go.
Hold on, Eric.
Do you know where it is? Okay.
Let's go.
Trust me.
Let's go.
Green team has completed stage 1.
Keep going.
Keep going.
Keep going.
Come on.
Deja: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Michael: It's almost there.
It's right there.
It's right there.
Oh, my God.
It's right there.
Yes.
Come on.
Come on.
Keep going, babe.
Okay.
You're gonna have to move the ladder.
Deja: I'm not joking.
That guy bore through those ropes like string cheese.
It was insane.
We just got to get back up there.
Lori Ann: Come on.
We got this.
Go, babe! Go! Come on! We're all right.
We're all right.
Oh, there it is, babe.
Let me see.
Let me see.
I can get it.
Can you get it? He went through all three of those? Are you kidding me? I got it.
I got it.
I got it.
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go! Hurry up.
Hurry up! Okay.
Wires.
Wire.
Okay.
Read the map.
Let's go.
Okay.
We got to go to stage 3.
Deja: They are full-on leaving.
Maybe try something else.
I understand.
Stop.
Relax.
It's fine.
Red team has completed stage 2.
Shush.
The green team's coming! The green team's coming in! - Oh, my God.
- Are you kidding me? Eric: We walk in.
I see one cage down, so I know one team's already gone.
I look to my right.
I see the blue team.
Mike, you got to go faster.
Go, go, go, go, go.
Okay, infirmary.
We have to sit and wear headgear.
At door terminal, use wires to match image and shapes to unlock the door.
I assume this is it right here.
Okay.
Where's headgear? Right there.
Are we supposed to sit and wear the headgear? Is that what it says? It says "sit.
" Okay, baby, it says "sit and wear headgear.
At door terminal, use" so I guess this is part of it.
I don't know what we're supposed to do with this.
Sit and wear okay, "at door terminal, use wires" holy crap! Stage 3 of this escape brings teams to the infirmary, and, boy, are they about to receive some treatment.
It all starts with a set of leather head restraints that powers a movie projector, which flashes a loop of images and shapes.
Match these shapes and images to rewire a broken electrical box, and you successfully open the exit door.
Once outside, they'll find a shovel and a flashlight and the third piece of "the great escape" key.
Oh, my goodness.
I have no idea what I am looking at, but I can understand why this would have made people crazy.
Holy mackerel.
Are we supposed to watch to the end of the movie? Okay, so, the pictures correspond.
Okay.
Oh, shoot, we have to remember what we saw.
Yeah.
We have to remember what we saw.
How are we gonna remember what the hell we saw? Martin: There it goes.
It's going.
It's going, buddy.
It's going.
That's it, pal.
That's it.
Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Michael: Come here.
Come here.
Come here.
Come here.
- Oh, my God! - You're kidding me.
You'll see the part that's cut.
Yeah! It doesn't matter! We're gonna be in 3rd place! Stop it.
Wherever this starts, remember what the symbol is with it.
Okay.
Okay.
Whoa! It goes too fast.
So, wait a minute.
I got clown is purple.
Spider is red.
Okay.
Let's do two.
Okay.
We're just gonna have to do a couple at a time.
Spider, red.
Spider, red.
Spider.
Red.
Okay.
The clown is solid purple.
Clown.
Okay.
I got two.
Do you remember any other ones? No.
Baby, okay.
You've got to help me out here.
I can't remember all of them.
You got to make them work.
Let's go.
Come on.
Martin: Let's go! It's going, buddy! It's gonna fall! You got it! Mike, I can't do this any more.
You have to just finish this! That's it, buddy! That's it! It's going! Yeah! Help me! Come on! Michael: You can do it! Just cut it! Come down.
Come down.
Let's go.
I can finish this off.
Let's go.
Deja: As each team starts flying out the door and it's going longer and longer, I just literally lost it.
My God.
They're all done, babe.
We'll catch up.
Don't worry about it.
Green team has completed stage 2.
They're all done, babe.
Michael: We'll catch up.
Don't worry about it.
Deja: Our dream is flying out the door, and if they don't get caught, then we have lost our entire lead.
Babe, we have to get out of here.
Let's go! You're not helping at all.
Lori Ann: And which one did you have? You remember the owl, I'll remember the rose, okay? I would look at one image that I assigned to myself and give him one image.
Which one am I doing? I forgot.
Just start plugging them in, guy.
Just start plugging them in.
- You sure, Eric? How do you know? - Trust me.
Michael: It's right there.
It's right there.
It's about to drop.
You have the scissors, babe.
How can I relax, Mike? We are in 3rd when we were in 1st.
There's wires right here, babe.
Where are we going? Where are we going? Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Blue team has completed stage 2.
- This tells you.
- Look at no You got to sit and see the headgear.
It tells you how to match up.
Come on.
This is it the infirmary.
Right here.
Eric, come on! Sit in the chair.
Sit in the chair.
I don't know, guy.
I'm not getting this.
Look up at there.
We have to match those colors with those images at the box.
Martin: I look at the screen, and I know that we're in trouble, here.
I was like Hey, I was like this, "what the hell?" You pick one, I pick one.
We can't.
We'll mess each other up.
What does that mean? Babe! Martin: I got the gnome.
Gnome, yellow.
Lori Ann: You mess this up, I'm gonna be really mad at you.
Okay.
Why did you move this? See? And now we have I didn't move anything.
You changed the rope.
I'll memorize Michael: How many wires do we have? Why don't you focus on that?! Count just the red.
I'm not gonna be able to memorize those.
I need to know how many we have.
What do you have? Okay, you got the gnome.
I got the eye.
One of those, you really had to think, and to be honest with you, it did mess with the eyes, and there were some times when it got to a point and started going so fast.
That's when we came up with the idea to just concentrate on one singular image.
Owl is red, circle.
Red with the yellow.
Are you sure you put it in the right spot? Yes.
Okay.
Green and red.
Green and red.
Okay.
One notch is up.
One red and one black.
I don't know, guy.
I got more confused looking at that than getting my head electrocuted.
Clown was blue.
So, that goes there.
This goes there.
At that point, we had over half of them filled in.
What we were doing was working.
The lion is the red and the yellow.
Red and the yellow.
Come on, honey.
Go, go, go, go, go! The rose.
We had the rose.
I remember seeing that's the other thing, too.
There we go.
I told you.
Oh, right there.
Okay, here's the flashlight.
Oh, oh.
We've got to open this bag up.
Rick: Yeah, yeah.
Red team has completed stage 3.
Eisen: While the blue and green teams struggle to solve stage 3 and remain trapped inside, the red team now faces the vast grounds of the institution.
Avoiding patrolling guards, they'll have to make their way to the 4th and final stage the dig site.
If we were dig sites, where would we be? Well, where's the ground? Come here, come here, come here, come here! Come here.
Oh! Shoot.
Well, where in the hell do we hide? Baby, we're out in the open.
How are we supposed to hide out here? But how do we how do we hide out here? Where the hell do we hide? Shh, shh.
Dig site.
I'm guessing over here.
Come on.
Don't run.
It's like you've taken too he's right there.
He's walking down that way.
Come on! Well, you didn't tell me to come on.
Yeah.
Stop.
Stop.
He's right there.
See him? He's right where? Over there.
Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Hold on.
The eyeball and the checkered.
Eyeball and red and checkered.
Get it now? Are you sure? Yeah, yeah.
Are these supposed to spider, red.
Spider was red.
I got spider, red.
Let me see.
No, no.
Come here.
Come here.
I got it right here.
I got it here, guy.
Trust me.
I got it.
Deja: We have to look for something else.
We have to look for another way to do this, because this isn't working.
This is the dig site and the setting for stage 4.
And as if they have not been creeped out enough, they now must uncover a ditch, where we buried bedsheets and the fourth and final piece of "the great escape" key.
Here he comes.
Here he comes.
Here he comes.
Let's do this one more time.
I got rose.
You got lion.
Just to see what happens.
Yeah.
What if we put it in one image, wherever the cord fits? Put in one, and then just touch it to each one of the images.
Oh, my God.
What if the pictures don't matter? What if none of this matters? Because some of the pictures don't even have the corresponding okay.
So, what does that mean? Just go ahead and connect all the circuits.
Okay.
Well, I hope you're right.
Holy crap.
Keep an eye out.
Keep an eye out.
Okay.
I can't see it, babe.
You have to keep quiet.
Oh, my God.
Here he comes.
Here he comes.
Well, we're in the perfect place, 'cause I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mind.
Rick! He's right there.
Rick! Red team, stop! Rick, I said he was coming.
Lori Ann: He's right there.
Red team, stop! Rick, I said he was coming.
The red team has been captured.
Thank God.
Thank God.
Thank God.
Thank God.
See? They're being detained, so we've got time.
Lori Ann: When you're that close to winning $100,000 and all of a sudden to have it snatched from you like that, I thought I was gonna start to cry.
Try the rose With the green one.
Let's try that.
Maybe it'll pop open.
Oh, we got it! - Yeah! - Yeah! Aah! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! What are we missing? Green team has completed stage 3.
Eisen: As the green team searches the grounds for the dig site, the blue team continues to be trapped at stage 3, while the red team is back in detainment.
Lori Ann: I just don't know how you didn't hear me say, "the other one is coming.
" In fact, I told you, "don't lay on the wood if you're out in the open.
" There was nothing I could do about it.
I have to go look at the stuff.
Red team has escaped detainment zone.
I gotta rappel down this Rick: This is me.
This is me.
Come on.
Come on.
Please, don't let me fall! I got you.
I got you.
I guess we better move a little quicker 'cause I'm sure we're behind now by a lot.
Deja: Red team had got detained, so then there's that glimmer of hope that you still have time, and next thing you know, they're coming down the stairs, staring at us like, "why are you still here?" I have never felt so stupid in my entire life.
Lori Ann: You know where we're going? Martin: What am I taking, Eric? Go around this thing and look.
Guard: Green team, stop! Oh, man.
Empty your pockets.
The green team has been captured.
We are just demoralized, but we're not giving up because we know that the red team is not as strong as us.
Keep eyes out, all right? We talked about this.
I got to scratch my nose.
Aah.
Love you, buddy.
We're trying to make this light light up.
Follow me.
I got you.
I got you.
Let's go.
Green team has escaped detainment zone.
Michael: Come walk around with me upstairs.
This can't hurt.
We're not doing anything by being here.
Okay, but if this is where it has to go, then we have to figure something out over here.
You do not we've been up there like 30 times.
Right, and we're missing it.
We're missing it.
Go again.
We'll have the green team pass us again.
Go across now.
No other team had to go through this.
You know that, right? No other team opened drawers or did this stuff, so this is not the answer.
Clue said "planks.
" Anything in there? Oh, he's coming! He's coming.
I know.
I know.
I know.
Feel like war, man.
Rick: What is this? I got it.
I got it.
Lori Ann: Come on.
Oh, my God.
Come on.
Is he here? No, he's not.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Come on.
Just take it out.
There it is.
And we need the sheets.
That's the last piece.
Okay.
We need the sheets.
Let's go.
Okay, which way are we going? Rick: See where he's at? See where he's at? Lori Ann: The tree.
This way.
The tree.
Okay.
Right here.
Red team has completed stage 4.
Say bye-bye to a wedding anytime soon.
Shh.
Which way to go? Okay.
Down, down, down, down.
This way.
Ow! Go, quick.
I got you, buddy.
Never.
As long as we stay behind one of them and ahead of the other one, we're good.
Oh, we've got to put our clues together.
We don't know where we're going.
I know.
Complete all four stages, and teams wind up at the transport zone, where they'll find getaway drivers sitting in laundry trucks, ready to whisk them off the grounds.
Once they've assembled all four pieces of "the great escape" key, teams will know where to tell the drivers to go.
Except getting off the grounds may not be so easy.
You see, they've got to get past a guard checkpoint at the bottom of the hill.
And in order to do that, they'll have to hide in one of these.
Otherwise, they could be on the verge of $100,000, only to be sent back to the detainment zone.
When do we put the key together? We'll do it right now.
Do we get to the truck and put the key together? - Come here.
- It's right here.
God! There he is.
There he is.
There he is.
Get in.
Get in.
"Use wires and images to unlock doors.
" I'm going.
Here he comes.
He's coming back.
Shh.
Get in.
Get in.
Get in.
Jump in.
Jump in.
I'll dig out one.
Okay.
Rick: "Use the colon" Green team has completed stage 4.
Lori Ann: We have to hide in here to get out.
But where is he taking us? We don't know where to tell him to take us.
"Use the" Oh, come on.
We got this far, and we don't know where the hell we're going? Man: Where to? We don't know.
Rick: U-S, "use the colon" Green team has completed stage 4.
"Use the" Oh, come on.
We got this far, and we don't know where the hell we're going? Man: Where to? We don't know.
On the outside, is there anything? Mike, they're both, like unless they get detained, we're done.
Is one of them a skyline? Is one of them a picture of a skyline? No.
Okay.
You put it in upside down, baby.
I did.
Can we get it out? I got to figure this out.
Oh, God.
Help with this.
"Use the" Put it in order.
Okay.
One second.
How do we get here and can't spell? Come on.
We get this far, and we can't figure it out? Okay, come on.
Are we staying low so they can't see us? We get this far, and we can't figure out the puzzle? Excuse my French.
"Use the" I don't know how this is supposed to go.
It won't go in.
All right, well, move them around.
Take them all out.
All right.
Oh, "use the colonial" "Use the colonial" "Colonial" "House.
House.
House.
" Oh! "The colonial house.
" Oh! "The colonial house.
" Okay, we've got to get past the guards.
We've got to get in here, right? Get in, get in, get in, get in.
Okay.
We've got to cover ourselves with sheets.
Okay.
But how do we grab all the sheets and towels? We don't want the dirty ones.
I think we got it right now.
All right, buddy.
I'm not covered.
Shh! Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Try not to move.
Oh, my God.
Oh, "the col" You have it? No.
Stay down.
I'm not covered.
Are you covered? Yeah.
Okay.
Are you completely covered? Okay.
Shh.
"The colony? The colony?" Something "colony," Eric? No.
Hold on.
Shh, shh, shh, shh.
Hold on a second.
Hold on.
"The colonial The colonial house.
" Man: Yep.
"The colonial house.
" You go.
You got the key, you go.
I'm right behind you.
Come on, babe.
Come on.
Where the hell are we going? The front door, I guess.
There's more running? What do we do when we get here? Ring the bell or we just go in? We've got to find the host.
If I were the host, where would I be? Hello? Anybody home? Balcony? There he is.
Is he? Hello, there! That is something that you want, I think.
We think it's something that you want and you need.
Let's just see.
What are you waiting for? Let's do this.
It fits.
Rick and Lori Ann, you've made it.
You have escaped the institution.
After a night of being restrained and rappelling down bedsheets and feeling your way through icy muck, digging through ditches and sensory overload Which one am I doing?! Rick and Lori Ann, you have won "the great escape" Oh, my God.
No way! and $100,000.
Whoo-hoo-hoo! All I can say is, "yes!" Congratulations.
Oh, my God.
Red team has won.
Red team has won.
Michael: Even though we didn't win the $100,000, I came out of this with the same great fiancée that I came into it with, and I'm always gonna be the winner when that happens.
Ditto.
Oh! Better luck next time, buddy.
I love you, pal.
We had fun.
We tried to represent southie as best we could.
We tried, man.
We messed up on that Shoveling dirt.
A Mountain of dirt.
My back I need a chiropractor.
We messed up on that thing, but you know something? That's all right.
We had a good time, brother.
I love you, pal.
I love you, too.
This was a great, awesome time.
Great adventure.
It was awesome.
Rick: This will be an experience we won't forget.
Can't compare it to anything.
I seen you kick down a door, turn an armoire upside down.
Yeah, we just don't do those kind of things at home.
We came to have fun and to do something together, so winning is just gonna kind of be the icing on the cake.
That icing on the cake? A lot of icing on the cake, actually.
Rick: Hey.
How you doing? This has been a blast, God darn it.
Come on.
We got it.
Come on.
Come on.
Let's go.
Guard, guard, guard.
Hide.
Hide.
Shh.
Shh.
Shh.
Lori Ann: Come on! Get me out of here, please.
Ooh, I can't get it.
Help me, please.
Okay, let's go.
Red team has escaped detainment zone.
You okay? No, babe.
I'm not okay.
I was scared the first time, and I've got to come back and do this again.
Stay low.
Watch out, watch out, watch out.
Go, go.
Rick: Watch me, okay? Watch.
Lori Ann: Okay.
I'm watching.
Look where my feet are at.
See where my feet are? Okay, yeah.
Come on.
I got you.
I got you.
Okay.
You're doing good.
Okay.
Rick: You got to put your No, you're good.
You're good.
I'm not! I got you.
I got you.
Your foot.
Your foot.
- Get your foot out of there.
- I don't hold on.
I got it.
I got it.
Hand over hand.
I'm doing hand over hand.
Okay.
I got you.
Come on.
Rick: He's down there.
He's down there.
Lori Ann: He's down where? Down there.
He's down there.
He's there.
He's gah! Hey, how are we supposed to get down there if that's where he waits? I don't know.
Let's go.
He's coming.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on.
Guard: Green team, stop right there! We knew they were over here, baby.
Over here.
Yeah, we knew.
We knew he was coming.
Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh.
Mother We weren't even thinking about it, and who do we come across the first person? Both: A guard.
Green team has been captured.
Is he gone? I don't know.
I don't know.
Martin: Come on! He's coming! Come on, come on! Green team, stop right there! Over here, baby.
Over here.
Yeah, we knew.
We knew he was coming.
Mother Green team has been captured.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Michael: We're looking at this armoire, and there's just this box sitting there.
How in the heck am I gonna get this box out of a locked cage? Here.
Move, move, move, move, move, move, move.
Armoire.
Right here.
Deja.
Yeah? Come here You got it? I think so.
Deja: Mike reached up inside of the armoire and happened to grab the box, which was absolutely brilliant.
Here we go.
Here we go.
That's it, that's it, that's it.
We got the game piece.
Oh, this is the bone saw.
The bone saw.
Is this really okay.
Let's go.
We've got everything.
Let's go.
Go, go, go.
Blue team has completed stage 1.
Eisen: As the blue team successfully moves on from stage 1, red team is frantically searching right across the hall as the green team is brought back to detainment.
Martin: Take your time.
Come on.
Let's go.
We have plenty of time.
I got it, Martin.
I got it.
You got it? All right.
Come on.
Come on, Eric.
We've got to look at this map.
This map.
Sorry, buddy.
It's all right.
Can't believe he got us.
Green team has escaped detainment zone.
Michael: We got it.
We got it.
Let's go.
Shh.
Shh.
Okay.
Go.
Go this way.
This way.
Hide, hide, hide, hide! Come on.
Hide.
Hide.
Yeah.
We got the key.
Got the bone saw.
