The Tribe (2024) s01e03 Episode Script

Episode 3

1
[upbeat music plays]
Alanna?
Hi!
[in Hindi] You're as hot as tea.
You're as hot as tea.
[in English] Are you saying
I'm hot like tea?
Hmm
Are we doing another Hindi challenge?
-Shut up!
-Hmm
Oh, my God, I'm excited.
Okay, let's do this.
Ivor is full of surprises.
Specially for our YouTube content.
He always has these crazy ideas.
[in Hindi] You make me sweat.
[in English] Ive! It's not
You're literally, you're saying fuck!
-Huh?
-"Chuda" is a bad word!
It's "chhuda."
Chu-chuda?
Not Chuda! "Chhuda."
-Chuda?
-"Chhudda dete ho."
[stammers]
[in English] So is it my outfit
that's making you sweat?
Hmm
[in Hindi] Hot!
[Alanna in English] We have a
very playful relationship
and I feel like that works great
for our YouTube channel.
[cheerful music plays]
So what else do we have
on our schedule today?
Do we have any brand deals to shoot?
Honestly, we're kinda at a point
now where it's
getting a little overwhelming.
-I know, there's a lot to do.
-We need to start saying no.
We just have constant, constant
back to back to back.
I actually have the
YouTube metrics up right now.
And just since the wedding,
there's actually one billion impressions
-since the wedding,
-That's insane!
and 340 million views.
Our YouTube channel has gone
from 150,000 subscribers to we're almost,
I think, at a million now.
Can you imagine if we quit?
And how many times
we've spoken about like,
is this the right thing?
Like, what are we doing?
Well, we just had such a dry
period of those years
where we just were posting content.
[Ivor] Just seemed like nothing
-was growing.
-[Alanna] I just feel we were filming
-everyday and
-[Ivor] Yeah.
we were just stuck.
But I think that it's paid off.
-I know.
-It's gonna be a million soon.
And we grew this channel in that
tiny apartment that I love.
I miss it so much.
But I mean,
-it has given us this house
-Yeah.
and I'm so happy.
So what about CollabTribe?
Just with us having so much work
and it just being
non-stop, how are we gonna
dedicate time to that?
I just feel like it's
something that I really wanna
give a second chance to.
I do feel like everyone's changed
and I have a really good feeling
about this. I think
Okay.
We could like, make this something.
Honestly, I'm in two minds
about the whole situation.
Um
Just because you know, our
We're doing so well right now.
Any attention that we take off
of that is going to cost us a little bit.
-I think.
-[tense music plays]
Wh-what? What are
you benefiting from this?
I don't want to feel like
I've betrayed Hardik
because he has a vision as well.
I wanna finish what we started
because that's the reason I came here.
We wouldn't meet.
And I just feel like
we strayed away from that.
And of course, there are
monetary benefits.
I own half of the company.
For me, it's more
I want to finish what I started, and
I don't want Hardik
to be disappointed in me.
I feel like with you
backing me, we can do this.
You know,
I'll support you through anything.
-Yes.
-So
Let's make it happen.
We haven't shot any content in a week,
so I feel like
I'm giving all my energy to CollabTribe.
But as I said,
I don't like to fail at things,
so I'm adamant about making this happen.
[in Hindi] Rumy Jafry, the director
who directed Amitabh Bachchan's Chehre,
is shooting Alfia Jafry today.
[Alfia in English] Hilarious.
So, my mother has
prepared my favorite food.
Everything I like for my farewell.
And I am ready.
[in Hindi] Will you guys miss me?
-Each and every moment.
-Mom, move in.
Amazing!
[Alfia in English] It's finally happening.
Someone who's never even gone somewhere
locally, alone
to straight up
catch an international flight
that too, LA.
[Alfia's mom in Hindi] Kept the medicines
in it, along with all your insulin?
Now pack it.
Dear, keep your passport safe.
Hmm.
[Alfia in English]
Are you going to miss me?
Are you about to cry?
You should cry.
I'll feel good.
-No.
-[Rumy chuckles]
-Just don't get up from the janamaz.
-All the time.
All the time.
All the time.
You have my blessings.
Oh! I have kissed
the wrong one.
Too cuddly!
I'm excited, I'm
nervous, I'm petrified.
The journey is scary.
Very, very scary.
Here. My bags are ready.
And I'm ready to
-start a new journey here.
-[indistinct background chatter]
[upbeat music plays]
-Wanna watch a movie tonight?
-[incoherent chatter]
Watch a Bollywood movie?
We can watch 3 Idiots.
It's been nice being back
because I have Kyle here.
He is my boyfriend.
He is a model.
You should be in a Bollywood movie.
Yeah, I'd love to, but
my two lines in the movie, [in Hindi]
"Namaste" and "Aapka naam kya hai?"
-[in English] Yes, good job.
-Yeah.
My mom would love it.
My mom always says the only thing I want
from a guy that you're with,
is two things.
For him to be obsessed with you.
And for him to be obsessed with you.
Not only is
Kyle obsessed with me,
but I'm obsessed with him just as much.
[Aryaana] I could not have asked for
a better relationship.
-You know, when I met you, I was anti-boy.
-[indistinct chatter]
I was so done.
I was so fed up.
I just wanted to focus on my music.
And then as soon as you saw me,
you just folded or what?
-No, as soon as I saw you
-[Kyle snorts]
-Then
-[Kyle] It was late
Then you told me you were a model
and I was like,
there is no way
there's anything happening.
He's very handsome.
But most guys that are
that handsome are not very nice,
I told my dad
I've been cheated on before,
-you know that.
-Yeah.
-And so does he.
-Mm-hmm.
And so for him, it was like
are you sure you know what
you're getting yourself into?
Because he's gonna be around
fifty-five girls every day.
Alanna saw a photo of you,
Ivor saw a photo of you
and Ivor said, "He's gonna hurt you.
He looks like a fuckboy."
But he also changed his mind.
And now we've kind of like,
mixed our worlds in a way, you know?
-Like professional worlds.
-Our work worlds?
-Yeah, a little bit.
-Yeah.
-[Aryaana] "Butterflies" is a song
-["Butterflies" plays in the background]
I wrote about meeting Kyle
for the first time.
It's how we met,
it's the night we met.
I wrote it about that,
and now I'm making a
music video about it.
But all my songs are not gonna
all be about you.
-Exactly. That's another thing, right?
-Yeah.
For the rest of my life,
I can't write songs
-that are only about Kyle.
-[Kyle] Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
-We go together.
-Yeah.
[energetic music plays]
[groovy music plays]
[Aryaana] This house is huge.
Dude, this room
situation is kind of dicey.
This is a massive house, yes.
But it is a five bed.
[Srushti]
It has four decent-sized bedrooms
and, a small
little single bedroom
[Srushti] with a laundry room attached.
Do you think Alanna and Ivor
are actually gonna move here?
Like would you get married
and just move in with like
-I don't know.
-Move in with us.
I don't know.
-Because they also have their own house.
-[Srushti speaks indistinctly]
They have their own home,
like ten minutes away from here.
[Srushti] Alaviaa is not here yet.
By the way,
she's already texted me saying,
"Can we do chits for the rooms?"
And I'm like, sure
-but then they're all
-Hi, guys.
Hi!
-Hello.
-What's happening?
So, um
It's going to be a full house
Um In a few days.
Are you moving in here?
I do feel like, um
I wanna be here
to make sure everything is
-Like we're getting shit done.
-[Aryaana] Someone that doesn't
-I know you have plans.
-For what?
-CollabTribe.
-Yeah.
I just feel like the biggest mistake
-we made last time was not stay together.
-[Srushti speaks indistinctly]
Yeah.
And if we stay together, we're gonna be
shooting together
and I just feel like we need that.
Yeah, no, you
should definitely stay.
[Aryaana] Which was not
the plan originally.
And also because she
wants to keep an eye on us
because she doesn't trust us
to do our work.
But I think it's definitely gonna be fun
just to see all these
interesting group dynamics.
[Alanna] Okay, so we have two
options with the rooms.
Either one of the girls
volunteers to take the smallest one.
Which is not gonna happen.
Or
We have Alaviaa and Alfia share a room.
If these two girls decide
to share the room, which room
are they gonna share? The master?
Yeah, that makes sense.
But I also have to convince Ivor
to come stay here.
-And he's not gonna come here if
-You guys don't get the master.
Yeah.
[frantic music plays]
So then what is the alternative?
Which is the conversation
we need to have with her right now.
-How do you talk on FaceTime?
-[dial tone ringing]
Do you put yourself on full screen or
I put her on full screen.
I always put myself on full screen.
-I look at myself when I talk to people.
-That's so weird.
-That's insane.
-That's insane.
-Hi.
-Hello.
Hello.
The girls are here.
How is it?
-It's insane.
-Guys, please
-It's fab.
-I need to know the room situation ASAP.
-That's why we called you.
-Okay.
We're not doing chits.
-It's not happening.
-We cannot do chits.
So would you rather have your own room?
-Or would
-Why are you all being shady?
No, I'm saying,
-would you rather have your own room? Or
-No one's being shady.
would you rather share with Alfia?
I mean, bro, I don't know her. Like that
Like I can't live in a
room! That's so hectic!
If you said yes
to staying with Alfia,
I was gonna give
you guys the master.
Listen, first of all,
I need enough space for my clothes.
-We all have We all need space for
-We all have clothes, Alaviaa.
For our clothes.
So then should me,
Srushti, and Alfia do chits?
-No.
-Because since you guys are couples.
No, I don't wanna take
the laundry mat room.
-The laundry room.
-Bro, then
I don't wanna take that either.
If you come with a boyfriend,
we can figure things out.
-Huh?
-Should I pick someone
from the road in LA and just
She does have a point.
Srushti, where are you in this?
Why is it not an option that you and Alfia
stay in one room?
And I mean, I'm being like,
easygoing and saying
I'm down to share a room.
-Yeah.
-If other people want to be difficult
then put them in the laundry room.
But Alaviaa, this is all
All because you are not here yet.
Seriously, what the hell?
You had one job, Alaviaa.
Get your visa.
I think let's just take this decision
when Alfia comes.
-Fair.
-Okay, cool.
-We'll talk to her.
-Okay.
Let us know whenever you're coming.
[Alanna] Right now,
the rooms are on a first-come,
first-serve basis.
Everyone's claimed their rooms.
I mean, how is that fair?
I was actually like,
part of it before Aryaana.
So first come first serve.
Okay, enough about the rooms.
Once I move in here,
we have to start getting shit done.
-Yeah.
-And that means not posting once a month.
This is our last day of relaxing.
-Ooh.
-Ooh.
You need to push out
content every day or you are irrelevant.
Once these two girls land, it's
It's work.
Are you bringing in new work?
-Yes.
-A lot?
That's my job.
We're gonna revamp
the CollabTribe account.
It needs work.
I'm gonna participate to do that.
I was gonna ask you.
I said I wanted to put you in charge
of the CollabTribe grid.
-Instagram grid?
-Yes.
I can be in charge of your music
for the videos.
-[Srushti] Yeah.
-Music.
Alfia can be wardrobe.
Alaviaa or Alfia?
-Alaviaa.
-Alaviaa. I feel like she
-has a very specific taste.
-[speaks indistinctly]
-What is Alfia gonna do?
-[Srushti speaks indistinctly]
I have no idea.
We'll find out.
I barely know her, to be honest.
-But she has a private account.
-Yeah.
Yeah.
-But she did express that she wants to.
-She wants to? That's good.
I mean, that's why she's here.
-Yeah, she has to.
-Yeah.
-[Srushti] She has to!
-It's expensive to get people here, so
As the flight is going down
my heart rate is going up.
[catchy song plays]
[Hardik] So you made it here finally!
Felt really special.
That oh, my God,
the boss has arrived to pick me up.
Dressed like a rapper, huh?
I have an angel
on my t-shirt from WhyLabs.
I know, but you're gonna leave
all the Bombay brands behind now.
[Alfia] Oh! Okay.
It's the air of ambition.
I'm excited about the fact
that I don't know
what's tomorrow, and that doesn't
scare me anymore.
I've just come to live,
start a new chapter.
I made it and I'm
I couldn't be more grateful.
-Hello, hello.
-Hello, hello.
-Well, beauty queen.
-Hi, guys.
Special delivery from India.
How was your flight?
Amazon Prime.
Exhausted!
Same-day delivery.
Hi, you look so cute.
-Hello, hello.
-Don't pass your comments.
-Hi!
-Hi! How was your flight?
We are just excited
to talk about the rooms.
-We've been waiting for everyone.
-It was fine. Really hectic.
-Alanna, she has just come!
-And I'm looking
I am looking forward to
having that discussion as well.
She just entered.
She literally didn't
even keep her water bottle down.
And we bombarded her with,
"Oh, so where do you want to sleep?
And here, we don't really
have a bedroom ready for you.
Here is a situation, here is a fight."
Oh. Oops.
Oopsie.
Oopsie happened.
-Are you okay?
-What are you gonna talk about?
Like, why are you
so overwhelmed?
Or sad?
You look fresh.
You look exhausted.
You also look fine.
-You look tired.
-Really?
They are just the pretty ones.
-It's
-Shut up, Srush!
She's been saying
-all this stuff all day.
-Yeah.
She wants everyone to say
-"No, Srush, you are so gorgeous."
-You're so cute!
[Aryaana smirks]
I just need to take a shower.
Just rest.
Why don't you girls
just show her the house
-and show the rooms and stuff
-Oh, yeah, we can show you so
-so she can like freshen up and stuff.
-you can decide where you can sleep
Sleep for a little bit.
You sit one second with me,
I wanna talk to you about something.
Man, you won't let me live!
So, yeah, this is the kitchen.
This is your
Can you cook here?
-Is this
-Is this kitchen approved by you?
I'll make it work.
[Alanna laughs]
Are you serious?
Look at this view.
What do you mean it'll work?
It's great.
What's been happening here?
You guys been talking
about the rooming situation?
Alaviaa said, "I don't want to share."
-Alanna's plan was to convince Alfia
-To?
-To go to the smaller room.
-[indistinct chatter]
-I mean, okay, let's see how that happens.
-[enticing music playing]
So it's kind of a
situation.
Would you rather have your own room?
Or would you rather share with Alaviaa?
No, the reason
I would like to have my own room
is because I have diabetes.
So at night, my sugars drop.
I need that little space
to move around and see whatever I need.
Like if she's sleeping with me
Anybody, right?
And my sugars dropped at say 03:00 a.m.
I'm putting the lights on.
That's unfair to her, as well.
So it's a lot, right?
-What?
-Like at the end of the day,
you would like to have
your own little space
to take care of your health,
-your mental well-being, as well.
-I had no idea.
I struggle at night.
My sugars really drop.
It's that time when I'm sweating,
I'm miserable, I'm vulnerable.
I'm in all kinds of emotions.
And I would just like to be by myself.
So this is the one that
we wanted you to share with Alaviaa.
But, I mean
I don't mind taking the smaller room,
but if Alaviaa's coming after me
-Mm-hmm.
-shouldn't it be otherwise?
A thought.
Also might be a little biased, right?
That she gets the bigger room
even though she's coming a little late.
Rest, I'm okay with anything.
My diabetes is affected if I'm stressed.
-Yeah.
-If I have my space,
or I'm getting my rest
-it will be fine.
-Yeah.
-That's why
-Alaviaa's counter is,
"I need space
because I have lots of clothes."
Yeah.
-And I don't?
-And she is like
"I need space because
I have genuine health problems."
Literally!
-Either of ya'all
-Let's just show you
-the small one before you decide.
-Yeah.
Why don't you just stay out of it?
-She's already overwhelmed.
-I just don't want
Don't
Don't give her more anxiety.
[dramatic music]
I actually, in an ideal space
-I don't think it's bad.
-It's perfect for me.
I think it's perfect.
The only problem with this is
It's also the laundry room.
I'm okay with it.
I would love to give up the master
if I didn't have a husband.
For me, it's as simple as
you give me whatever space.
Just that once I'm settled in,
I don't want to be troubled.
If you all say
this room, I'll be more than happy.
[in Hindi] My stuff will fit
in easily in this.
[in English] But you all take a call with
-what's fair and right.
-I feel like
No, I feel like
if we can still have both of them
have all their stuff in that room,
but then you'll sleep separately.
You know, so you still have space.
We can have a conversation.
And yet, if she's very adamant
that she has space issues or whatever.
Fine, let her take it.
No problem!
I really I'm telling you,
I don't think it's that big of an issue.
What I felt bad about,
I've expressed to you.
It was not the space that mattered.
It's the intention.
What I'm not liking about
this whole situation
is the slight bit of arrogance.
[Srushti] I actually think
she was just saying
things that nobody else
was actually saying.
Alanna felt like
there was some kind of arrogance.
Alfia was just somebody who said it.
-Arrogance from?
-Just the fact that "I have clothes."
You're not even here
and you're making reservations.
I've come in a poly bag or what?
Like I've come from Bombay in
one grocery bag?
We all have stuff.
Have I picked up the phone with you
or anybody
saying, "Yo! Listen!
I'm coming! So much stress.
I've cried my eyes out.
I'm sick on the flight.
You better reserve a room for me."
Or, did I ever say,
"I have diabetes. Listen"
I'm not using those cards,
so it's unfair.
You put me here,
but after that, I don't want
anyone coming and saying,
"Oh, you know what?
Something this, something that."
Then this is my space.
It's not our decision.
You have a choice.
I leave it to you all.
-No, but you have a choice.
-[Alfia] I'm mentally
Alanna, she has said it.
She does need the space.
And she does like, have her other reasons.
And the other person's not here yet.
But I think if you are okay with her
letting to choose and she's expressed
what she wants, it's clear.
[Alanna] Okay.
We did think that this would be an issue.
We didn't think
it would be such a big issue.
What did you guys decide? So like what
Who thinks what?
Alfia has made it clear,
she does not want to share.
-Okay!
-She needs her space.
Even if it means her staying
in the smallest room.
Ideally, she wants her own space
because she's been living like that
her whole life.
But the whole point of this entire
situation
is to not make you guys get
what you want comfortably.
The whole point of this whole vision
is you guys being together.
I think you should take a step
in trying to live with Alaviaa.
-She's very pushy.
-[Alanna and Srushti laugh]
She'll probably like,
make you do things that you cannot
or don't want to do.
I agree.
But that does not mean
that you need to be in the same
-four-by-four room to be able to do that.
-[Hardik speaks indistinctly]
[Srushti] We all have shared.
When we just got here,
everybody shared.
How is it that it's already decided that
if I want my space,
it's going to be the laundry room?
What I'm finding a little unfair,
is someone gets to call
dibs before they're here.
I'm with you.
Now that I'm in a different country,
I should be able to rest
at my own pace at night if I feel unwell.
If anything, if my
sugars are low at 03:00 a.m.,
-I'm putting the lights on and off.
-[Hardik] And that is what
I think Alaviaa is like,
a very extroverted person.
And she's like a go-getter.
And I thought that if,
you know,
if somehow some of that could, like
[Hardik] rub off on her and then,
you know,
it's always good to have a roommate
who knows about the town more than you.
His thing was that she would push me.
But you've not even tested me yet.
How do you know
how much I need to be pushed?
Or whether I need
to be pushed at all or not?
My point is, when she comes,
whatever has to happen will happen.
Right now, she's not here.
So I'm not going to go into that
bigger room
because she needs
that space for her clothes.
-Let that be.
-Got it.
-Got it.
-[Srushti] Listen stop being nice now.
You said what you said upstairs.
No! Understand the sarcasm also
-that's coming with it.
-[Aryaana chuckles]
I'm not trying to be nice here.
[Alanna] As someone seeing this
from a bigger picture,
you should be happy in any room
because look at this house.
I'm just saying,
give it a try.
You all take a call.
I won't share, period.
Because I'll tell you why
I'm getting irritated here.
I don't want anything coming to my health,
that's it.
I'm going up for a shower.
I'm exhausted.
-I ain't sharing, period.
-[Hardik] This is
[Aryaana] I know Hardik and
I have seen how these boys are around him.
All these guys just
"Yes, Hardik. Okay, Hardik."
And I was so glad
Alfia has kind of put him in his place.
Really cool.
I don't know how she did that.
She just speaks her mind,
but also in a very subtle, balanced way.
She's just like, "Yeah
okay, I just need a bed.
I just need a pillow.
I just need a little small bed,
and I'll sleep here.
But! But, but, but"
Someone you've brought so far,
you know.
And you've made me and my family
so comfortable that we'll look
after your child.
And then to put that,
"She's being pushed to work."
I mean, people who do not live
with another person in the same room
don't work?
I'd be happy if I was just flown to LA,
all expenses paid for, to just be here.
If it was my choice,
this conversation
would have never taken place.
It would be,
"Oh, you've come, pick your room."
I really thought, you know,
when I met everyone, I thought
I'd be welcomed very differently.
There's always something
beautiful in chaos.
I'd be lying if I said no
that I didn't enjoy the drama.
What does
What does Alanna think?
-CEO.
-I told her that
I don't It shouldn't be our decision.
I think that she has a choice.
I want her to feel like she has a choice.
You guys have like, a little bit of time
before Alaviaa comes.
-Yes.
-Figure it out.
But if you guys can't come up
with a conclusion
by the time that comes,
and if it's not fair
and equal in my eyes,
I'm going to overrule all of you.
Unless, Miss CEO can figure out like,
the best way of like
-Miss CEO!
-figuring it out.
How am I supposed to do
things, make plans,
when you try like to make decisions?
You said right now,
"My decision is the final say."
I never said that.
[Hardik] Mine and Alanna's
relationship is very mature.
But as a well-wisher,
if I see that she's not living up
to her own potential,
then yeah,
I do kinda somehow feel that I
That I have to say this to her.
-You keep telling me
-[Hardik speaks indistinctly]
"Be a leader! Be a leader! Be a leader!"
But you do not let me be one.
Can you please give me a
definition of a CEO?
You've put me in a spot
but I have a good one.
I'll give you one, wait.
"Responsible for making the decisions
and implementing them."
You tell me, "Here,
this is the plan and I wanna execute it."
It has to also come from everyone.
I'm not going to be begging people.
-Like "Hi! Come out of your room."
-See, that is what I'm saying.
Look at where you are,
look at what you've done with yourself.
Fan moment.
I think you're great
at leading yourself, but
I think you're going to be even greater
if you learn how to pass it on.
That's what I keep saying.
It's not just me, it's everyone.
[Alanna] I want the girls to be like okay,
"If Alanna says something,
I respect that."
And by Hardik overstepping what I say,
he's setting like a narrative,
like, "Oh, Hardik is the boss," right?
[Srushti] All the way
from India and coming here
and starting everything
from scratch
and doing everything that she's done
and getting so many brand deals
and having so much personal growth,
I feel like she has some kind of
credibility to kind be a CEO now.
For us to actually go to her and be like,
"Hey, like can you help us out with this?"
Like,
I feel like she's more in the position
to actually help than before.
I think he needs to let her
do her own thing.
He needs to just chill.
[upbeat music plays]
[Srushti in English] Hello?
Can I come in?
Yeah, yeah.
Come.
Hi!
I found some hangers.
Thank you! Thank you so much!
Alfia had the option
to choose between the two rooms.
Yeah, and she chose,
not the laundry room.
-What's happening?
-What are you doing?
Just unpacking my medication.
I'm done with everything
-other than that.
-Do you need these many needles?
I go through a lot of them
because I take it
-like five times a day.
-[somber music]
My dad is 60 years old
and he takes it once a day.
My dosage is really high,
and I've also had it for a lot of years.
I've had it since I was eight.
So that's like
Twenty-four minus eight?
-That's a lot of years
-A lot.
Yeah.
-Oh, my God!
-Plus, I have asthma also, so
I don't even know
what to think about all of this.
-Those are asthma pumps?
-Yeah.
Does it like, uh
trigger if you're like,
stressed or something?
-Or it just happens?
-No, just climate change
and stuff like that.
When I got diabetes,
I was in a very bad condition.
And I just collapsed one night,
and the doctors
You know, the typical
filmy scene, "We don't know
what will happen." And all that.
Are you serious?
Yeah, yeah. And I was
I was not conscious for a very long time.
Very, very long time.
Who laughs?
-You psychopath!
-No, I'm sorry.
It's really sad.
I don't know how to react.
I just I have issues reacting.
I realize how her condition comes
with consequences,
and how she's literally my age
[Srushti] and she has to go through
these things that
she doesn't deserve to go through.
That's so unfair.
I feel like that's so unfair.
How much I've spoken about diabetes
since I've come here
I don't think I've spoken in my years!
[Alfia] It's really new for these people,
and I feel like it's
everybody's right to know
what kind of a person is living with them,
what could possibly happen.
But it's all about your mindset
and how strong you choose to be.
I chose to be strong.
-It's harder on the people around you.
-I know.
Stop it. Just stop it.
Are you crying?
Yes.
No.
But it's fine.
Why is it such a big thing?
Like why is it not okay to cry?
[Srushti] My dad,
who's had this for the past
Since the time I was born like
And I didn't even know
he probably must be feeling nauseous
while he's going through this.
So, I don't know.
I was just overwhelmed.
Yeah, okay.
Can we talk about something else?
[somber music fades]
You wanna go shop?
You cannot talk
like these LA girls!
You're emotionally
"You wanna go sh"
-I'll whack you.
-[somber music plays]
[sniffles]
I honestly didn't think that I'd be able
to have a heart-to-heart with Srushti.
[Srushti] She's like a child, you know.
Like, just then I knew
that I was going to have a
soft spot for her.
[somber music fades]
[horn honking in the distance]
[upbeat song plays]
[upbeat song fades]
[in English] I'm almost packed up.
I'm almost done.
[birds chirping]
Oh, my God, really?
Is this a thing?
I think this is the move.
[Alanna] Ivor is thirty
and I'm asking him to basically move back
into the really fancy dorm room
with five girls.
We're going back to college.
Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah.
That's nice.
Yeah, It's gonna be fun.
-It's not gonna be fun.
-It's going to be fun.
-[Alanna] I promise you.
-It is not going to be fun.
It's going to be miserable.
-So you're going over to babysit?
-And
I'm not going over
to babysit. That's hilarious.
And it's not me. We!
I still think it's a bad idea.
I feel if the girls see us,
we're going to get more done.
Yeah. But
-[Alanna] It's fine.
-[Ivor] It's going to be great.
-It's going to be fun.
-Oh, I know
-it's going to be so much fun.
-It's going to be fun.
[upbeat music]
What will you all have for breakfast?
-I thought I'd make breakfast.
-You'll make it for everybody?
Don't make this into a habit
or people are
-People will get used to it.
-People are gonna exploit you.
So the day I'm tired,
I'm just gonna make bad food,
and then they won't ask me.
-I have a question.
-[Aryaana] Yeah.
Now that I'm doing the CollabTribe feed,
we should have your account public
before we introduce you on the account.
Yeah, 100 percent.
Yeah, no, I have this whole concept
for my first video
-Whatever you feel like
-with like this caption that I've written.
-And you should have something
-[indistinct chatter]
that you are going to do
ahead on your page already.
So the people know that "Oh,
this is what she's gonna do."
And then they follow you.
-I'm getting your
-Yeah.
-basic point, yeah.
-Let them
Are you cooking?
-Eggs?
-I don't eat eggs.
-I eat eggs.
-What do you want?
I can make something for myself.
DW.
-[Srushti] Uh
-What is DW?
"Don't worry."
KK.
[energetic music plays]
I want a picture.
Srush, you wanna finish chewing?
She's like
-You're like a little cow.
-I'm not a cow!
Her eggs were really good
and she did it without cream,
she did it without milk.
I think later we should sit
and kinda figure out a game plan.
I think we should do a little bit of PR
around her.
Instead of like, all the articles
being about her marriage
and this and that
-there should be like a
-It should be about you.
another statement and there needs
to be another story.
Which I think we can plan around
and then your socials attached to it.
Saying the last thing
that was hyped about you
was your marriage.
I was just like
My poor, innocent Srushti!
Sometimes she doesn't know
the meaning of things and she just says.
She's the only one who gets away
with saying the nastiest things sometimes.
-Do you also, like need help with
-[dramatic music plays]
Like, wardrobe?
I'm not big on like, fashion.
I'm not saying be like a complete,
like, fashionista,
where you need to wear off
the ramp kind of clothes,
but just put together
-[Aryaana] Yeah.
-That looks aesthetic
with the
other content that you wanna make.
[dramatic music fades]
[energetic song plays]
So we're gonna pick up
this a little bit later.
-Hello, sir!
-Hey!
Hardik!
-Nice to see you.
-How's it going?
-Nice to see you. Yeah!
-Nice to see you as well!
-So this is what we've been working on?
-Yeah.
Yeah, 427 Cobra.
So we basically have the exclusive license
to build and import
[Hardik] these Shelby cars into India.
That's how I met Jim.
What we've been working on
-for the past several months,
-okay.
that I thought you'd be interested in.
Here's our new roadster.
[cheerful music plays]
What?
Jim, this is better than the car
that we're building.
Can we get this done in right-hand drive?
Sure.
It'll be the only one in the world.
A right-hand drive, OVC Shelby Roadster.
This is gonna be history.
I'm taken aback.
If you can make that happen,
then nothing like it, sir.
It'll be worth the wait.
All the pain that we've gone through,
like for the better part of the decade.
I finally saw that my dream
was coming true.
Finally, get this beautiful
piece of American history
to our country.
[upbeat music plays]
Oh, here he comes! What's up, Miks?
Did you get run over?
Are you handicapped?
[incoherent chatter]
How's it going?
What's up, buddy?
-Uh here's Mikhail.
-Mikhail.
-Pleasure to meet you.
-Nice to meet you.
He's one of my close allies.
Like, he's
We've been friends since like forever.
-You know, I'll trade you that,
-Okay, so
for this.
Is that a straight-up deal?
Miks, he's the guy
who built the original GT350
-which was featured in,
-Wow!
Ford vs Ferrari, as well.
In fact, the car that you see over
there is a car that burnt up
in the last scene.
-That's a piece of history.
-Yeah.
I'm trying to buy my place in the history,
-my friend.
-You cannot buy your place in history.
-It must be earned.
-[Hardik chuckles]
Mikhail is one of
the funniest characters I know.
He and I go way back.
-Pretty cool.
-Ta-da!
This is the car that
I've been building for India.
-You're building a car?
-Yup.
How did you get into this?
Is there a market for it?
Who's gonna buy this?
Your four friends from Napean Sea Road?
Mm possibly.
He calls me out.
He calls me out on my bullshit.
So it's always good to have a person
who doesn't give a fuck.
Holy shit.
I may not look like Matt Damon,
-Mm-hmm.
-but I certainly feel like Matt Damon.
But no, honestly, what do you think?
It's like a collector's item.
Ten years back, I would have thought twice
about making this happen.
But I think India has a disposable
income to get shit like this now.
-[metal clinks]
-[Mikhail grunts]
-Okay.
-[Hardik chuckles]
Listen, I get it.
[Mikhail] I don't know about the efficacy
of the business.
It is an admirable pursuit.
It is just one of the first businesses
that I actually can,
like touch.
[Hardik] Our investments are all scattered
over, like internet businesses and things
that we cannot touch and feel.
When are you gonna give me one
as a gift?
Four friends?
-I'm not from Napean Sea Road.
-[Hardik chortles]
You're from Cuffe Parade.
And this is perfect for self-actualizing.
I think you've hit your
self-actualization phase.
[upbeat music fades]
[birds chirping]
[groovy music plays]
Push! Oh, it's stuck.
-Whoa!
-Whoa!
Already breaking stuff.
Hello?
-[trolley wheels screech]
-We're here.
Nice place.
-[Srushti] Yeah?
-Hi.
-What's happening? Where are the girls?
-What's up?
-Hi!
-[indistinct chatter]
I love your I love this room.
It's so pretty.
You know what?
We're going to get a
ton of good content here.
-Yeah!
-That's for sure.
Hello.
Yo, man.
-At first, I thought it was Srushti.
-What's happening?
-Hello.
-Hello.
-Hello, welcome.
-What's going on?
How are you?
-Good?
-Hi.
Good.
I feel like when we just came
here, people thought
it was a permanent vacation.
Even I sometimes got lost.
That's why I'm moving in.
I'm here to remind everyone
that we need to make money.
It's not a giant party.
What's happening?
Oh, we were all getting ready,
honestly, to start shooting stuff.
So what are you guys shooting?
[Aryaana] When is your plan?
What When do you think
she should go public?
I think we should just do it.
[Srushti] You wanna do that
without Alaviaa?
-Yeah.
-Isn't that a little weird?
Because like we've not posted
-on CollabTribe for a while.
-But,
then her account going
public is like waiting.
For how long can we,
you know,
-waste our time?
-[Alanna] Hold off?
-Like, it's best that we start like
-[indistinct chatter]
-getting to work.
-[Srushti] I'm saying we'll start,
like we're starting to shoot
together anyway.
Oh, I think we should just start shooting.
-And
-No, when do we do the main post?
Because then we plan a photo shoot
with all of us.
'Cause first we need to post
that we are back,
and then we need to get the other girl.
I mean, let's just be real.
She didn't get her visa. She isn't here.
People that think this is important,
will make it in time
and will make it when,
it's required, right?
Shade!
-[Alfia] No, I'm just saying, like,
-Shade!
I feel like
my time is being wasted
because I don't already have something
to start with, right?
Like, I can't not do
anything with my life.
-I've done that for two years and now
-I hate to
bring this up right now,
but I got like A really angry
text message has come.
She doesn't think it was a very family
move to make the room
-decisions without her.
-Family move?
What family?
-If I threw that kind of shade here,
-[Srushti speaks indistinctly]
and said, "Yo, I have clothes."
Nobody's throwing that shade,
to be very honest.
Srushti, you cannot say that
she's been the most polite
and easygoing person.
That is called throwing shade.
Like we'd made a decision
without even telling her.
Like that's what the message said.
She told us, "Guys,
I don't think it's cool
that y'all have decided the rooms
without asking me.
When I come, I want the rooms to change.
There's no two ways about that."
I'd asked everyone prior only
tell me clearly I'll stay there.
I just feel like
this is gonna get out of hand
-when it comes.
-It is, 'cause she's gonna flip.
She has literally said,
"Because I am friends with you.
And I don't know Alfia as much.
I'm literally gonna come
to your room with my bags."
-I'm like, "Why me?"
-And that is called, not throwing shade?
Basically, she's taking over
Srushti's room.
What pisses me off
is don't defend bullshit.
-Rest I'm willing to fight for you.
-[Srushti speaks indistinctly]
I will do all the yelling if you want.
We're all entitled in our own ways.
-It's just
-[Alanna] Yeah.
the attitude.
Why will I have strong opinions
about Alaviaa? I've barely met her
three times in my life.
If you're going to think that,
"Oh, she is"
It will not.
I don't treat anybody like that.
You shouldn't treat anyone like that.
Nobody should.
-Can I tell you she also told
-[indistinct chatter]
one of the boys
that, "I don't care.
I will speak to the people in charge
and tell them to get me
the best room there
because otherwise I can't manage."
Okay, see, that's an issue.
What?
The issue is someone walking in halfway
through the shoot and thinking
they deserve more than everyone else
who is already here.
I was mad, and clearly,
Alfia was really mad
because she kind of deserves that comfort.
Now, I have spent money.
I have set that room up.
That was your way of solidifying
the room though, right?
You're like, "Listen"
-Now, now
-Smart move!
-You have to understand.
-That was smart, that was smart.
Now my investment is in it.
Alfia is also been like,
"I'll take the couch or the small room,
but also not."
[Aryaana chuckles]
You know, she could also come
and literally, like on our faces,
just be like,
"Okay, but like I've been here longer.
I've been a part
of CollabTribe from the start"
That I'll deal with if she has to say.
"I already do" Oh, okay!
[intense music plays]
Because that's not cool.
Listen, people can be here
from before, after anything.
What's not cool is not cool.
-Yeah, just keep me out of this.
-Once again, it's not my problem,
-Because I get pushed around.
-I've not taken her room!
It's not my problem in the first place.
She's visited
the United States before, right?
If someone like me
who's never had an American
stamp on her passport could figure it out
and get here all by myself.
You're a well-traveled person,
you could've made it on time.
I think we should move on.
I ain't moving.
I don't wanna start
with a cooking video.
The last thing we want
is another failed project.
She's actually just gonna go back home.
They should know that
-I'm not gonna go into the small room.
-[man 1] Yeah.
What do you think you'll get? A platter?
What's the sudden urge of you
expressing these opinions?
[dramatic music plays]
How are you, like so not aware.
I have this talent,
where I just piss off people.
-Can I interrupt?
-[Srushti] No.
She sometimes hates Hardik.
She really needs to
[dramatic music fades]
