Yes, a metal round could have been substituted for the wax round, which would explain why I only found one wax round at the scene.

You think that we can match the marks on the bullet that we found in the Vic to the barrel it came from, right? No, actually, what I'm But what you don't get is that pistols like these have smooth bore barrels.
They don't make marks on the bullets.
There's nothing to tie them together.
OK, so if the murder gun fired a wax pellet there would be wax inside of the barrel, right? Of course.
But that wax would have been obliterated by the metal round.

You know on the show, during a moment like this My character would always say "it's quiet too quiet.
" We actually banned that line from the show.
But right now all I'm thinking is that it is too quiet.
Chet! Chet! It was either this or a rain barrel.
A very heavy rain barrel.
My options were limited.
So, overcome with remorse he shoots himself? In the back? That would certainly be a first.
Well if he's not our killer who is? All roads lead to JTD.
Yes, of course I knew Chet.
He's a supplier.
He sent you some pretty strange texts today.
I don't know what those were about.

" What-what does that mean? What payment was he asking for? I honestly don't know.
We paid for the guns months ago.
With Jeff gone, and Trevor in jail, aren't you the only founder left? But I didn't do anything! - Did you hire Chet to do something? - No! The technology that built JTD That's all Xavier Morton, isn't it? We have his signature on a dozen agreements.
He signed all his rights to us.
I mean he wanted to give it away.
We had to cut him out.
But now It feels like he's haunting us.
(BANGING) Excuse me.
When Darlene said Xavier was haunting her, I thought about Xavier's obituary.
Why? Because Xavier was survived by a sister.
And when Dave showed me the obituary her name was right there.
It was right there.

The what? THIS is a reveal.
Why are you showing me pictures of Penny Rickson? That is not her real name.
Her real name is Kylie Morton.
She's Xavier's sister.
And She likes to shoot things.
She moves into Jeff's apartment building and makes friends with him.
Learns all about the company and the crazy "team-building" thingy that they do.
Follows him and Trevor to work.
Bingedy bangedy boom, she takes down the company.
She must have broken into Chet's garage.
She did have that bandage on her hand when we met her.
She hurt it smashing the window, to help herself to a musket.
Chet doesn't report it because of his love of the police.
- That's on you.
- And she must have texted Darlene from Chet's phone Knowing that we would eventually find it.
And framing Darlene for hiring Chet maybe.
Taking down all three, avenging her brother.
Grief unhinges people.

She must have taken it from the crime scene before we arrived to make it look more like Trevor did it.
That all sounds good.

She killed two people, Harley.
She could have killed me.
She could've killed anybody else who just happened to be walking by.
I know, I I wasn't trying to hit her in the arm.
I was trying to Yeah, you know, it's a thing.
Shooting someone changes you.
