Expedition Impossible (2011) s01e04 Episode Script

There’s Snow in Morocco?

Previously on Expedition Impossible.
(Grunts) The competition began to take a toll on the competitors.
(Woman) Is so bad.
I'm missing my prom for this.
Let's go Ryan.
My knee is hurting very bad.
I can't run too much.
Chad's lack of endurance Come on, Chad! Continued to put the Country Boys in jeopardy.
There's times I get frustrated.
I wanna win.
I'm competitive.
But you know Chad's giving 100%.
He just goes really slow sometimes.
While struggling to stay in the race, Team Kansas made a bold decision.
Let's take the harder one.
Come on, guys! Team Kansas, you're in ninth place.
Oh, my gosh! Whoo! And chest-high freezing waters Oh, my God, it's freezing! Left Grandpa's Warriors out in the cold.
You're the last team.
You're going home.
Ten teams remain.
Who will be evacuated tonight? competitors have left the 105 degree heat of the Sahara desert and traveled to the high atlas mountains, where temperatures are below freezing.
Everybody! You guys all ready? Welcome to the high atlas mountains and the fourth stage of the expedition.
In stage one, you climbed a massive sand dune.
Today you'll climb a Mountain.
(Chad) When it comes to climbing and being in the high altitudes, I always get weak, light-headed, dizzy.
I'm really not the uphill climbing guy.
I'm already kind of feeling short of breath right now.
You've each been given a bracelet.
Will you all take a second and put them on? You're going to need that bracelet at some point through this journey, so please take care of it.
To get started, you'll head to the top of the Ridge.
From there, you'll move along the ridgeline to 10,000-foot high bluff, where you'll find your first checkpoint.
All right, I'll see you later today to check you in at the alpine overnight base camp.
Gypsies, you're in first place, so you'll be given a head start.
All right, guys.
You all set? Remember, be strong, work together, and never give up.
Gypsies, your expedition continues Now.
(John) Going into stage four, The Gypsies are feeling pretty good.
We've proven that we're strong.
But No Limits They're a solid team.
They're smart.
They're fit.
They've climbed Everest, and we're definitely looking out for them.
All right, No Limits, Country Boys, your expedition continues Now.
(Ike) We're hoping that the terrain is a lot like is it now Cold, windy, snowy, slippery.
That's what we trained in, in Colorado.
That's what Erik knows the best.
We're gonna go out and kick ass today.
Football Players, Fab 3, New York Firemen, your expedition continues Now.
(A.
J.
) We're Fab 3, but we're not feeling so fab.
I'm really sick.
It's been a couple days, and I'm not getting better.
Ryan's knee hurts more and more each day.
And then we're heading up a snowcapped Mountain.
So I knew it was gonna be a bad day from the beginning.
Cops, California Girls, Team Kansas, and Fishermen, your expedition continues Now.
Being from Kansas, we do have snow, but the mountains are new to us.
Yesterday was just a really, really rough day for all of us, especially mackenzie.
So going into today, we have a lot to prove.
(All breathing heavily) (Indistinct conversations) (Jeff speaks indistinctly) Watch your ankles through here.
Watch for the deep drop in between the rocks.
Super slippery.
Watch it.
Jeff knows how to give me enough information but not too much, and that's kind of a tricky process, to figure out how much information I need.
Little right.
Little right.
Right, right, right! (Jeff and Erik speak indistinctly) Straight on me.
Now a little right still.
That's it.
Push it.
Keep going, big guy.
All right, I'm right behind you.
(Panting) I feel like I'm breathing in a bag.
(Grunts) (Jason) We're learning with this terrain and rock, uh, that, uh, sand dunes and mountains and Chad just don't agree very well.
(Woman) Chad, you're doing awesome.
(Nick) We started out in the second group, but everybody passed us.
One foot in front of the other, brother.
One foot in front of the other.
(Rob) I think our jobs as New York Firemen definitely help us in this competition.
I know for a fact that if things go wrong, he's gonna put everything on the line to help me out, and I know he will, too, so I know I can trust these guys.
(Panting) It's, uh, windy, steep.
It's tough.
It'll humble you real quick, this terrain.
(Breathing heavily) I'm just not feeling so hot today.
And I keep feeling like I wanna (Bleep) Myself on the side of this big snowy Mountain.
Of course, that isn't Ideal, obviously.
(Natalie) This is the most amazing thing It is pretty beautiful.
That we have done.
(Speaks indistinctly) This is so cool.
I cannot be more excited right now.
(Christina) I think the biggest thing that's gonna carry California Girls through is just having a positive spirit through this all, because as other teams are breaking down, we can just kind of capitalize on their lack of energy levels, and we'll definitely be able to move ahead.
Yeah! Pull it out.
Okay.
"Your next instructions are locked in a register at the summit of this Mountain.
" Teams will now unravel their cord bracelets and tie them together to create one long fishing line.
They'll attach a grappling hook and use the line to catch cages scattered on the bluff below.
Once they pull up a cage that contains a key, they'll use the key y unlock their next set of instructions from the stone summit register.
All right, so unravel the bracelets.
Let's go.
All right.
How do you undo this thing? This looks like a pretty cool challenge.
You're just gonna get good foot purchase.
Hug right a little bit.
Slippery slide.
What's up, guys? (Man) Hey! Yeah! Erik, how's it going, brother? - Good.
- Kind of like Everest up here? (Erik) Oh, yeah! (Laughs) (Man) All right, John.
Get down there, buddy.
(Clank) (Man) - There it is.
(Man) - Nice.
(John) I'm trying to grab these front ones.
Come on, key! (Jeff) We're definitely feeling a strong affinity for those Gypsies, you know.
(Man) Open that sucker up.
(Jeff) I can almost see a little bit of myself in them, back when I was their age.
I got a pretty scarf.
We don't want a scarf.
We want t key.
(Jeff) But at the end of the day, it's a competition, and we wanna beat 'em.
(John) Ah! It's coming down! (Clank) (Man) Jeff, I swear to God, if you get a key in the first one, I'm gonna punch you in the face.
(Jeff laughs) (Jeff) You better knock me out on that one punch.
Ohh! (Man) - You got it? - Psych.
(Laughs) As The Gypsies and No Limits .
(Men) Hey, football! The middle-of-the-pack teams begin to arrive.
The grappler must get in position on the bluff, and the other two teammates are supposed to wait - in the safety area.
(A.
J.
) - The rules tell us that one person's gonna do this challenge, and I'm thinking, fantastic.
I get to sit down, let me stomach ease for a little bit.
And Ryan needed to sit down.
His knee is killing him.
- So who's doing this challenge? - What do you think, Kari? Um Do you even understand what to do? Say it again.
You don't even understand this.
I'll just do it.
(A.
J.
) We've just read the entire challenge out, and she didn't pay attention to anything, so I'm just gonna do it Again.
I am sick as can be and I'm just thinking, why on earth can't my sister just listen to anything? All right (Speaks indistinctly) Are you the grappler? Who wants to do it? (Brittany) I'll do it.
'Cause you got the most hand-eye, golfer.
(Laughs) You cannot change that person out for another teammate.
So let's you.
It's you, all right? That's fine.
(Natalie) We chose Brittany because we figured hand-eye coordination She's a golfer.
You know, she can She can grab that cage, no problem.
(Clank) (Man) - A key? (Man) - Key?! Yeah, I think so.
Yep.
Yes! We got t key! (Man) Good job, brother.
Let's see what's in this box.
Let's get this key.
Teams must now trek down the steep icy Mountain to the alpine base camp, where they'll spend the night.
- All right.
(Man) - Way to go.
Let's cruise.
Let's go! Let's go! (Clank) Ike.
Ike.
No Limits and Football Players pull up their keys and are the next two teams to head off to the overnight base camp.
Let's go! Let's go! (Erik) The Gypsies They're hard to catch.
They're fast in every terrain.
But we were real close behind them, maybe, like, 100 feet behind them.
(Christina) Ooh, baby! I'm in Morocco, and it's freezing.
(Natalie) Come on, Britt! Oh, Southern boys.
Here come the Southern boys.
Southern boys are back in the game.
(Man) We get up to the challenge in dead last place, which sucks.
(Man) Come on, Chad! This is it! (Man) Come on, Joe.
Get it.
Middle-of-the-pack teams finally pull up cages with keys.
(Man) Buon, buon, buon.
(Speaks indistinctly) Arrivederci.
Ah! (Woman) Aah! Ah! (Man) Good job! And continue along the treacherous course.
And despite having arrived last to the challenge, the Country Boys quickly master the Art of grappling and retrieve their key.
I think there's three teams behind us now.
So that was our lucky break today.
We needed that lucky break.
Real slippery.
(Laughs) In the lead, The Gypsies and No Limits check into the alpine base camp.
- This looks like a lovely camp.
- Yeah.
I can you see it? (Laughs) All right, guys, welcome to camp.
- All right, thanks, Dave.
- Thank you.
Meanwhile, the California Girls, New York Firemen, and Fab 3 are still struggling at the challenge while the sun begins to set and temperatures drop even further.
(Brittany) Ugh! Yep.
No key again.
(Groans) (Christina) Good job, Britt.
Oh, yeah, great job.
(Sobs) I feel terrible for Brittany right now.
She's freezing.
She has a bloody nose.
It's hard when you get here first and then other teams catch keys.
Definitely discouraging.
I can't feel My fingers.
A (Bleep) Joke.
A (Bleep) Joke.
This is a joke.
(Rob) Kevin is a little agitated right now.
We came in here strong and, uh, we're falling apart right now.
But That's not our concern.
Is our concern is just to get this done with and get off this Mountain before the sun sets because if not, we're screwed.
I mean, that's a fact.
(Speaks indistinctly) It's not (Grunts) (Blowing air) - Come on! Come on! (Brittany) - Did you get one? Hook, (Bleep).
The middle-of-the-pack teams make their way to the overnight base camp (Groans) While the California Girls, New York Firemen, and Fab 3 desperately try to complete the challenge before day turns into night.
(Woman) Come on, Britt.
Stay positive, Britt.
(Brittany) I'm just gonna throw it.
I don't care.
(Clank) What in the heck? (Mike) Come on, Kev! (Brittany cries) (Clank) I've got rope everywhere.
(Breathing heavily) (Brittany) I've never been this cold ever in my life.
We were the last teams there (Blowing air) And we were just kind of all dealing with it in different ways.
Kevin was quiet and focused.
I was crying.
A.
J.
's yelling, cursing.
Ugh! (Clank) (Bleep)! Ugh! I can't do this! (A.
J.
) Every single thing I've ever been upset with Kari about in my entire life, I'm thinking about at that moment.
Everything I wanna yell at her for.
I almost started screaming at her for things that she did when she was 4 years old.
I don't know.
Everything I'm mad at her about.
Aah! My fourth try, I get a basket.
I see a key.
I just wanna cry at this point.
(Ryan) All right, dude.
(A.
J.
) My dream is that we end this challenge, and a helicopter picks us up.
But no, we're still in the snow, and it's miserable and freezing, and I did not want to be there.
(Brittany crying) (Clank) (Sniffles) What the heck am I supposed to do with this? (Speaks indistinct) Ln a knot! We are gonna die on top, fishing for a key.
(Brittany) There's not another time I've been in that much misery.
(Cries) I just feel useless and helpless.
(Mike) Come on, Kev! Come on, fat! (Clank) (Kevin) When I finally hooked a basket, there was only, like, four or five left.
I pull it up and I feel it, and I'm like, oh, man.
I think I might have something, 'cause it didn't feel like the other ones.
(Kevin) We got the key.
(Man) - Good job, fat.
(Man) - Way to go, Kev.
(Chuckles) There, Mike.
Finally got the key for you, buddy.
(Mike) Thank you.
(Natalie) When the firemen got their key, it was moment, like, we're gonna be left on this Mountain by ourselves in the dark.
We were beginning to panic.
(Brittany) Aah! I wanna get off here before the sun sets.
Going down a Mountain is scary 'cause the sun's going down quick.
It's the last spot on earth I wanna be, so I was trying to get everybody to hususe.
Seriously, this is by far our worst day yet.
At least, my worst day yet in the race.
(Kari) - Come on, A.
J.
! - The negative is, I'm dying.
The sun's gonna go down.
I don't wanna be out here.
Thank you, Kari.
Way to support.
Good job.
I'm obviously struggling.
We knew this was gonna be hard.
I mean, the word "impossible" is in the title.
But I couldn't even imagine this.
It's just miserable.
It's a lot more mental than I thought it would be.
That was a real neat approach.
(Grunts) (A.
J.
) Everybody else is as miserable as we are right now.
We just have to remind ourselves of that.
They're gonna crumble a little bit, too.
Whoo-hoo! (A.
J.
) We just have to make sure we crumble a little bit less.
(Dave) Nice job.
(Dani) Oh.
Oh.
Kiss my butt.
I think that when you're at your worst and at your absolute lowest is when you have the most potential to, like, rise above it and to find something new about yourself.
Country Boys.
Yes, sir! Whoo! Nice work.
- Thank you, sir.
- Here you go.
(A.
J.
) But we know that even if we're hurt and sick (Dave) Come on, A.
J.
! We can still beat a handful of these teams.
Fab 3, you're the eighth team to check in to the overnight camp.
(A.
J.
) And as long as we don't give up on each other or give up on ourselves, I think we'll be okay.
Uh, but you never know.
(Brittany crying) I don't know if we're gonna make it.
(Sobs) Brittany, take it easy, please.
Come here.
(Sobs) Come here.
Listen, take it easy, all right? All right? Where's your Where's your rope? I cannot get these stupid knots undone.
(Sniffles) All right, Britt.
Get get get all this (Bleep) Up, all right.
Get all this (Bleep) Up.
(Kevin) There was just no way I could've left this girl there.
I think she might've still be there.
So I just told her to relax, take a deep breath, pull up the rope.
I detangled it for her.
I told her how to throw it Like like, I'm a pro.
(Chuckles) You know, I was up there an hour and 15 minutes.
Now I can throw? (Grunts) (Whispers) Come on.
(Clank) Good job, B.
(Sighs) All right.
Bring it up nice and easy.
All right? Okay.
Get it over the Ridge.
(Christina) Nice job, B.
(Kevin speaks indistinctly) (Rob) Kevin might have a tough exterior as a fireman, but he's really got a soft heart.
And he coached her through it.
That looks good, b.
Keep opening.
It's like Christmas morning, baby.
- I feel it.
- You feel it? - Yeah.
- Whoo! (Both laugh) (Christina) Come here, girl.
Come get a hug.
(Voice breaks) - Thank you so much.
- No problem.
(Brittany) I finally got the right cage, and I've never been happier in my life.
(Blows lips) Just one of those days.
All right, let's go, girls.
(Dave) Nice work.
Whoo! California Girls, New York Firemen, you are the last two teams to check into the overnight base camp.
What happened? The key challenge just killed us.
They were true gentlemen and stayed with us - until we could do it.
- We weren't gonna leave them.
Why didn't you leave 'em up there? I never leave anybody.
(Man) It's not about how you finish.
It's about the journey.
(Christina) Yeah.
(Brittany) Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Yeah.
We (Laughs) (Laughs) Yeah.
(Dave) Well, guys, the next part of this expedition is an elimination.
So if you end up in this position tomorrow, you're gonna be going home.
Go on in to camp.
(Man) - All right.
(Woman) - Gladly.
(Brittany) I'm absolutely loving the firefighters.
- Good job.
(Kevin) - All right.
(Brittany) They truly are our heroes.
These nice, loving, warm people are what makes this experience what it is.
It seriously makes my heart smile.
(Wind gusting) (Ryan) Do you not see this? This is snow right here.
I'm sleeping on snow.
(Woman) Oh, my gosh! Are you joking? I would rather hike a Mountain ten times than do this.
(Woman) Ugh! Yeah.
This is miserable.
- My feet are freezing.
- Mm! This is by far the worst night.
(Wind gusts) (Women) Aah! I wanna go home! (Woman) I cannot feel my toes.
(Man) I know.
(Man) I need a heater.
(Man) I don't like being cold.
(A.
J.
) The last two days have been the most miserable days of my entire life.
We're all in so much pain.
But here we are, and we're getting ready to start the next leg, and I mean, we'll do what we can, I guess.
(Chuckles) I don't understand how you guys can be so good at everything and not at mountains.
Chad can't go through a mountain.
He just doesn't have the legs to go up.
I just have a hard time believing that Chad has less muscle in his legs than I do.
It's different.
Have you seen me and my sisters? (Chuckles) Today is a really important day.
Today is an elimination day.
So how are you gonna win if it you can't climb a Mountain? And the team that I think I would like to knock off would maybe be the Country Boys because I think we can do it.
Chad, are you ready for mountain? (Chad) We'll do good today.
(Dave) Morning, guys! (Contestants) Morning.
Today is an elimination day.
The last team to cross the finish line will be eliminated, their expedition will be over, and they'll be going home.
To get started, from camp, head west over the mountains and out of the snow.
Follow the dirt road until you find your next checkpoint at the Tinghirin farming village.
Gypsies, you're gonna get a 3-minute head start for being in first place.
Your expedition continues Now.
Taylor, John, and myself We've been best buddies for the past six years.
Just like brothers.
I think that's gonna give us a huge leg up in the competition.
No Limits, Football Players, your expedition continues Now.
(Bells jingling) We're in the mountains, and I know we're not gonna leave until we get on top of some big stuff.
So everybody else better watch out 'cause we're ready to charge hard today.
Fishermen, cops, Team Kansas, your expedition continues Now.
Today, we're climbing another mountain.
Me and my sisters are exhausted.
And I'm just really worried about how they're gonna do on this portion of it.
California Girls, New York Firemen, Fab 3, Country Boys, your expedition continues now.
(Nick) Today, Dave tells us off the start that we've gotta climb another Mountain.
We knew right then it was gonna be tough.
(Chad groans) Ugh.
(Breathing heavily) (Nick) Keep pushing, Chad.
Keep pushing, buddy.
Come on, big man, push.
Let's go, big man.
(Chad) Watchin' teams go by, just passing us, I felt like I was disappointing my team.
It really feels bad being the slacker.
(Breathing heavily) Come on.
Grab and pull.
Just keep going.
We just gotta beat one team.
(Man) Come on, big man.
(Jason) We gonna watch them rotors spin on that helicopter this evening.
(Nick) Yeah, come on.
Come on, big man.
(Kelsey, breathing heavily) The air's so thin.
I really can't do it.
(Woman) There's a whole line behind you.
(Kelsey) Okay, well, then let 'em pass.
(Sniffs) (Kelsey) Going up the Mountain, we felt pretty confident because we were in one of the top groups.
But that's when we got passed by what felt like every team.
It was my fault.
I was really struggling to breathe the thin air and the altitude really got to me and I kept having to stop and take breaks.
You guys okay? I can't breathe.
I know that the only team behind us is the Country Boys, and it's elimination day.
We're not ready to go home.
It's like I can't get air to my lungs 'cause the air's so thin.
I couldn't do it last night during sleep, too.
(Sniffs) I couldn't breathe.
(Man) Ah.
This is beautiful.
(Man) Wow.
(John) The terrain today was absolutely incredible and definitely the most diverse so far.
We started out freezing in the snow and as we're climbing, we come to the top as we just look over and we see the sun shining and it's beautiful.
It's just lush.
And I know we're leaving the snow behind.
It felt so good coming down from the cold mountains.
We're just lucky to be here and we're just experiencing every moment.
Wow! Look how beautiful that is.
Wow.
Look at that, man.
(Ryan) A.
J.
needs to push harder.
I don't know what else to do.
(Kari) He's not.
I don't know what he's doing.
Let's go, A.
J.
! Pick up the pace.
Slow down.
- You're strong.
Just keep - What did I say? Just slow We have teams behind us.
Just calm down, please.
Just keep pushing.
This is mainly - I am pushing.
- I know you are.
I'd rather be in bed, throwing up right now.
(Breathing heavily) Whoo! Okay.
"To succeed as a farmer in this village, you'll need the right tools.
" Teams must now select a farming plow.
Teams will transport their plow using the local taxi The mule.
They will lead their mule up 2 1/2 miles of grueling switchbacks to their next checkpoint at the teahouse.
Salaam.
(Speaks arabic) (Man speaks arabic) (Indistinct conversations) Salaam alaikum.
(John) So from the village, uh, we know we had to go up the switchbacks to the top of the mountain, and we were just looking straight up at it.
And we see where we're gonna be going up, st this massive set of switchbacks.
And we're just like (Exhales deeply) (Man) I'm glad the donkey's not going fast 'cause this is hard uphill.
(Erik) Salaam.
(Boy speaks arabic) As-salaam, little buddies.
- Tinghirin is that way.
(Ike) - This kid's saying this way.
- This way? - Uh-huh.
Okay.
Let's go.
Hey, little dudu.
(Men chuckle) I'm gonna adopt this kid.
(Erik) As we're coming into the village, there's a lot of potential to get lost.
But we were really lucky because there was a little kid who led us all the way to the village.
Just saying, "this way.
This way," and we're cuttin' right and cuttin' left.
Hey.
Thank you.
Here's our wait point right here.
Ahh.
Here.
For you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
At the end, we were so appreciative, we gave him a candy bar, which isn't a lot, but, hey, it's just to say thank you.
(Jeff) Shokran, shokran, shokran, okay? (Dog barks) No Limits quickly make their way through the checkpoint.
It's okay, buddy.
Football Players follow close behind, and both teams head out to tackle the switchbacks.
(Man) Come on.
(Mackenzie) Oh! The Country Boys are currently the only team behind us, so we just gotta keep our pace and just not come in last.
That's the only important thing for today don't come in last.
Good job, Kelsey.
(Jason) We're gainin' on 'em.
Come on, Chad! Just gotta put one team between us and the elimination.
(Nick) Come on, big man.
While the Country Boys close the gap on Team Kansas, middle-of-the-pack teams arrive at the farming village All right, let's choose wisely.
Burlap sacks? Okay, we just need a farming plow.
(Man) Just do it like that.
Load up their mules, and make up ground on the lead teams.
(Panting) (Groans) (Ryan) Hey, Kari, wait for a second, okay? (Kari) What's wrong? (A.
J.
) This is not a sprint, you guys.
We haven't been sprinting.
We've not been sprinting at all.
Just do it.
Kari, stop it.
(Speaks indistinctly) We gotta keep walking.
They're gonna catch up.
Come on.
Kari, stop.
God, nobody's passed us.
Relax.
Stop.
It's not gonna hurt you.
Just do it.
I know my body.
I know what it feels like.
Would you just relax? Ugh! (Crying) I get frustrated 'cause we have, like, one shot at this.
So I don't care that you're sick.
(Sniffles) I wanna feel for you and, like, be there, but just push through it.
My back is just beyond killing me right now.
(Kari) Let's go.
God.
(Ryan) You got it, A.
J.
Come on.
I need a second.
It's all in your mind, babe.
It really is.
I'll stay with you.
Come on.
One step at a time.
(Pants) (Man) Big walk.
Coming to the top of the switchbacks, I look over and I see our Ford explorers waiting for us.
(Taylor) Let's go, boys.
(John) And then No Limits is right behind us.
"Trade your mule for horsepower.
" Teams will load their farmer's plow into the back of their Ford explorers and drive to the next checkpoint at the farming terraces.
No hands.
Wow.
(John) Thank God.
Okay, I press the "stow" button.
Whoa.
Oh, my gosh.
So we press the button, seats fold flat, we throw our plow in the trunk, d we're off.
(Man) Let's do it, boys.
Okay.
(Ike) We're gonna try to catch up to those little jackrabbits.
(Jeff) Let's boogie.
Here we go.
Wow, guys.
We're doing well.
(Lindsey) What's a good mule? (Speaks arabic) That one? Okay.
(Lindsey) So we just picked up our mule and a plow.
I have no idea what this plow is for (Kelsey) We need to go.
Yeah.
I just hope that there's gonna be some assistance.
Excuse me with my mule.
(Woman chuckles) (Nick) When we come out of the tunnel, the Kansas girls were already on their way out.
It sucked.
We knew we definitely had to make some ground.
Come on.
(Clicks tongue) Let's go.
Come on.
(Clicks tongue) (Man) Oh, I hope to God we don't have to plow.
That would not be fun.
(Taylor) Pull it and read it.
"The location of the finish is buried in a farming terrace.
" Teams must now assemble their farming plow And plow across their field the local way until they dig up the canister that contains instructions to the finish.
Oh, man.
This is gonna suck.
All right, careful.
There's a lot of small pieces.
Let's get all this together.
(Speaks indistinctly) We built the plow as a team.
We kind of laid everything out.
I was down there making sure all the holes lined up right, and they were handing me the pieces.
One in the back guiding, two in the front? - Yeah.
- Let's do it.
This is ridiculous.
You don't wanna go too deep.
It's just grazing the top right now.
All right.
Oh.
Here come the boys now.
(Jeff) As we're rolling into the challenge, I see The Gypsies.
I know that we can catch them.
Then it was game on, and all three of us were really focused.
We want to beat 'em.
(Ike) Ready? (Jeff) A little slower.
Okay.
Keep going.
You good? Yeah.
As The Gypsies and No Limits battle it out at the challenge, middle teams arrive at the teahouse, load up their plows Here we go.
And try to gain some ground.
Mike, tell us the G.
P.
S.
10-4.
Let's go, boys.
Cool.
Let's rock.
(Kari) Come on.
Are we driving? (Man) All right, let's go, fellas.
Here we go.
The Country Boys and Team Kansas have fallen more than two hours behind the middle of the pack.
(Nick) If we don't pick up the pace, bud, we're out.
We know for a fact we have to get in front of the Kansas girls, or we're, uh, being evacuated, and we certainly don't want to be the team to be eliminated today.
If you're gonna get on, get on.
My gosh.
Really? (Grunts) I don't think the mule can handle all that.
I have no choice, big guy.
I'm not gonna stop.
(Kelsey) They have Chad riding it.
(Lindsey) They're probably gonna go faster now.
Yeah.
Beating the Country Boys today is incredibly important because if we don't, we're going home.
Right now it's us and them in the last place, so, um, whoever it is, is eliminated.
So we have to beat 'em.
(Mackenzie) That's crazy.
How many stupid times are we gonna go back and forth? Team Kansas fight to keep their lead over the Country Boys.
Well, now, uh, we can go much further.
Well, we have to.
Can't quit, big guy.
Come on, Chad.
He needs to get up on it if he can't keep up.
Having started the stage in third place, the Country Boys have fallen to last place and are in danger of being eliminated.
Rock from our last day.
I look over, and Jason's picking up a rock, putting it in his pocket, as a memento.
This is this is his last day.
Heck, no.
No, I don't regret it.
Can't give in.
We knew we were done.
We were just gonna finish and, uh, get ready for our helicopter ride.
Wanna get on him? Nah.
(Man) This is just ridiculous.
(Man) Whew.
(John) Nada? Nada.
How many rows are there? Uh, another 20.
(Grunts) Shouldn't I be going right a little bit? No, you're good.
Okay.
Just follow me.
We're not that far behind The Gypsies, but The Gypsies They wanna win.
They're not gonna give up any leg to anyone.
Ho, ho, ho.
Got it.
Got it.
Nice! (Bleep) Yeah! Whoo! Yes! "Head down the riverbed to the finish at the Imlil outpost.
" Let's go.
To the finish?? - Yep.
- Yes.
Wait, man.
Got it.
Got it.
Got it.
(Erik) No way.
- Let's go.
(Ike) - Okay.
(Erik) I really liked that it was a team effort.
I felt good about it, actually, 'cause I was doing my part.
I was on the right side pulling.
We did a thorough job, and it paid off.
While The Gypsies and No Limits race towards the finish, middle teams arrive at the challenge The Football Players Come on.
The Cops Let's put the plow together.
The Fishermen, the New York Firemen We gotta find something in here? Fab 3, and the California Girls.
Oh, great.
We're gonna have to plow.
Okay, let's go.
(A.
J.
) I don't wanna do this right now.
I'm just sick.
But I'm really good with my hands.
- I'm good with tools and stuff like that.
- There you go.
So yet again, we get to the challenge, and it's A.
J.
that has to put together the plow.
Okay, there.
It's in.
All right.
(Dave) Come on, guys.
Nice job.
Come on across.
Gypsies, you're the winners of stage four of the expedition.
Yeah! (Laughs) So what team do you think is gonna be the first to beat you from here on in? No Limits.
We really respect those guys.
Every time we s s 'em behind us, it pushes us a little bit harder.
(Taylor) What No Limits is doing out here is just amazing me every day.
Erik being blind and getting through this terrain is is amazing.
It's astonishing.
No Limits, you're in second place.
We wanna be in first place, but we'll take second.
Well, guys, go on in and get some rest.
Thanks, Dave.
(Jeff) - Thank you.
(Erik) - Thanks.
It's like finding a needle in a haystack.
Yeah, it is.
(Rob) This is not gonna be a speed thing.
(Jim) Get it in.
Hurry up.
Quickly.
Get it deep.
This is ridiculous.
Ho! Got it.
Got it.
Got it.
Let's go.
Football got it.
Not missing anything, right, guys? (Kari) We can't keep taking breaks.
- Ready? - Wait.
You feel somethin'? I got something under there.
Oh, we got it.
We got it.
Holy (Bleep).
We got it.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Firemen got it.
Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Yeah! Yes! To the finish line, boys.
To the finish.
Yes! (Ryan) Fishermen got it.
(Plow rattles) What was that? Walk that way.
(Ryan) Cops got it.
Just stay to the left a little bit.
Left.
(Kari) We have to go left.
Do you wanna do this? Do you wanna come over here and steer it? I'm trying.
(Sighs deeply) (A.
J.
) I'm just exhausted.
It's 100 degrees by now.
We've still got on enough layers to trek through snowy mountains.
Just shut up and plow.
Just shut up and plow.
That's all I wanna say to these people.
Pull, pull, pull! We continue to plow, we get through the whole field, and we're like, is this gonna be another end of California Girls? 'Cause these challenges again Really? (Grunts) Yay! Yes! Yes! (Christina) Thank God.
You rock.
(Brittany) Oh, thank God.
Thank God.
Oh, thank God.
Dude.
Oh, that has never felt so freaking good! Thank God.
Oh! (Bleep)! Okay.
Okay.
(Ryan) California Girls got it.
Let's go.
Is it caught on something? I got it.
Oh.
Thank God.
Let's go.
Oh, my God.
You got it? Yeah.
Are you serious? Yeah.
Let's go.
(A.
J.
) Oh, my God.
You're amazing! Good eye, Ryan.
I love you guys so much right now.
Way to work through it.
That was miserable.
Let's just stay steady, do what we do.
What, fight? (Laughs) That's what we do.
We scream and yell at each other, but deep down, we love.
Come on, Football Players.
Nice job.
Finish strong.
New York Firemen, The Cops, and the Fishermen cross the finish line.
Nice work.
- All right, brother.
- Thanks, Dave.
Appreciate it.
(Woman) Wow.
While Team Kansas and the Country Boys are neck and neck in a battle to escape elimination.
Okay, let's go.
Yeah.
Down here.
(Kelsey) "The location of the finish is buried in a farming terrace, and you'll need to plow it up.
" (Lindsey) Okay.
I don't know what this means.
Okay.
Okay.
One of you has to help me.
We have to construct this plow together, and the Country Boys show up, which is a little nerve-racking.
Put it together, Chad.
Oh.
This goes like that, soon as we got to the challenge, we saw the Kansas girls were still there and we knew we had a chance.
I just started motivating the guys to move as fast as we can.
Let's go.
I'm going.
(Dave) Come on, cali girls.
Come on and line up.
Come on, guys! (Clapping hands) Great job, guys.
California Girls, you're in seventh place.
All right, we'll take it.
Whoo! Nice work.
Fab 3, that puts you in eighth.
Congratulations.
(Kari and A.
J.
) Thank you.
How do you feel? For most of the race I thought I was done, but, um, my teammates got me through it.
Good job, guys.
Camp is that way.
Go on and get some rest.
(All) Thank you.
Nice job.
- Thank you.
- Thanks.
So wait.
What are we trying to find? A canister.
(Jason) I ain't seeing nothing, guys.
(Nick) It's all right.
Let's go.
All right, keep going.
So annoying.
We're totally freaking out at this point, and we're thinking that we have to find a canister, like, right now, or we're probably going home.
Hold on.
Hold on.
This is ridiculous.
Oh, it's, like, a rock.
This sucks.
(Groans) Oh, my gosh! This is so annoying.
Go over in that one maybe.
Stage four of the expedition has come down to the final two teams left on the course Team Kansas and the Country Boys And one team is going home.
Anything in there at all? No.
I don't see anything.
Okay, let's go.
(Sniffles) (Chad) You got it deep, J.
? I feel you pulling down, 'cause it's rough pulling.
Keep it down, man.
(Nick) Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my gosh! Okay, last one.
And then go back and find the ones that we didn't do.
Ready? (Chad) Yeah.
One more row, guys.
Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
There you go.
Good job.
"Head down the riverbed to the finish.
" They just found it.
(Lindsey whispers) Crap.
We're heading southeast to the finish.
Well, I've we've already I know.
I don't know what else to do.
I don't I don't know what to do.
We got totally lucky.
Yes, we did.
Come on, Country Boys.
Country Boys, you're the ninth team to finish.
(Chad) I really thought we were going home today.
We barely made it.
I mean, we I mean, barely made it.
It's time for me to really step it up.
If you end up in this position at the end of the next stage, you're gonna be going home.
Go get some rest.
Thanks, buddy.
All right.
Nice job.
All right.
(Lindsey) Okay.
Okay, I'm, like, straight-up mad.
(Crying) (Sniffles) I'm really, really competitive, and for me to know that this is the end is really hard.
I just wish that we had a second chance.
Oh.
Oh, something's coming up! (Whispers) Thank God.
(Lindsey) Stupid thing.
(Crying) I can't read it.
Sorry.
"Head down the riverbed to the finish at the something outpost.
" (Lindsey) All right, let's roll.
It's okay.
(Mackenzie) I love you, guys! I love you, too.
(Lindsey) My sisters, in this expedition, surprised me every inch of the way.
They just kept pushing and pushing even though they were the two youngest and the smallest girls here, and I'm so, so proud of them.
(Mackenzie) No regrets, okay? Come on, girls.
(Sniffles) Team Kansas, you're the last team to cross the finish line.
Your expedition's over.
You're going home.
But you girls should be very proud of what you've accomplished.
Kelsey, when all is said and done, what are people gonna think back home? I think nobody thought that we would make it this far.
So we're gonna go home proud, and people at home should be proud, too.
I never thought that I could do any of this.
And I kind of realized I have more potential than I thought.
Well, girls, the helicopter's on its way.
We're gonna assemble the guys and see you off.
(Helicopter whirring) This is an experience that we're never, ever gonna get again, and doing it together was absolutely perfect.
We love each other, we're proud, we're gonna go home with our heads held high.
It was incredible.
Thanks.
Great job.
(Lindsey) Thanks.
(Dave) Nice work.
(Chad) Bye, ladies.
(Women) Bye.
(Dave) Bye, guys.
(Mackenzie) I hope, from this experience, my sisters see a different side of me.
I'm not a little girl anymore.
I'm 18.
I'm an adult now, and I think that they see that.
Now they can start leaning on me just like I lean on them.
(Crying) I just really I'm gonna miss the people.
(Crying) Me, too.
(Lindsey) This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it's an experience that I got to share with my sisters, and I feel really lucky that it's them that I did this with.
