All right. Here's the deal.
We picked Kevin for the show,
and we're gonna resurrect

But he doesn't know that yet,
and he's about to find out.
Right now,
Kevin's in there with his girlfriend
at the market shopping.
And how I know that

and we made up this whole ruse
to keep him in there and keep him busy.
So, between that and the all-knowing ,

Alex hooked me up with the spare key,

This is a Lexus IS 300, man.

So, the first thing we need to do
is get all the dents out.
- Sand it down.

And layer on some clear coat
so we have a smooth hood.
Shayna has this hood prepped and polished.
She ran through it as fast

Okay, carbon fiber hoods 101.
Here's the 1,000-step process
boiled down into
three easily digestible steps.
Step one. We take the sealed hood

using a bunch of toxic chemicals.
Step two.
We say adios to the original hood,
lay top-of-the-line carbon fiber
into the mold
and inject it with epoxy resin
and wait for it to cure.
Step three.
We pop the carbon fiber hood
out of the mold,
spray on one last layer of clear coat.
And voilà. Kevin has himself
a world-class carbon fiber hood.
Sound easy? Well, it isn't.
Let's go over some of the things
we're working with.
Tooling gel coat,
which is a heavy epoxy base.
