Spares
NARRATOR: Stay invisible.
Stick to the shadows.
Years of hunting with the king
had taught Riese stealth.
Guard.
Sir.
Have there been any disturbances?
I haven't seen a thing.
Move aside.
NARRATOR: Finally finding a clue to
the fate of the children,
Riese scanned the names in the ledger
looking for Hannah's daughter.
The babies were being shipped
to a town far from Helmkin.
Vidar
(Wolf howls)
She's here.
(Babies cry and coo softly)
(Clatter)
(Baby cries shrilly)
(Babies scream)
Do not let her escape!
(Wolf snarls)
(Man screams)
Thanks for that. Let's go.
Find her.
Magister, there's a problem.
What is it?
She took a ledger that tracked our
shipments.
For your sake,
you had better retrieve it.
Of course.
NARRATOR: Losing the ledger
was a problem.
It could reveal
a crucial piece of information
about their true plans for Eleysia.
Even though the Empress Amara
would never admit it, she was scared.
The girl held power over her,
and to Amara, power was everything.
She occupied herself by sparring
with her trusted aide, Trennan -
the closest thing to a friend
Amara had.
Ha!
Ha!
(Grunt)
(Panting)
It9s no challenge
if you don9t fight.
You9re improving.
You9re an excellent teacher.
Still, you will submit to me.
Ha! Huh.
Most likely.
You did train with the old king.
Aahh!
Amara, forgive me.
I'm fine.
No - speaking of your family
Do not forget that
I am your Empress.
Know your place.
Yes, Highness.
And bring me Herrick.
NARRATOR: Trennan wasn't sure
what hurt more -
the pain from Amara's blows,
or the sting of her words.
(Fenrir growls, snaps)
(Fenrir snarls)
(Man screams)
NARRATOR: Fenrir was
an uncommon ally,
but Riese was grateful for
his protection.
The beast would die before he let
anything happen to his princess.
Money and power
couldn't buy that kind of loyalty.
MAN ONE: This way.
MAN TWO: We gotta find that heretic.
MAN ONE: She must be here somewhere.
