The Catch (2016) s01e04 Episode Script
The Princess and the I.P.
1 Previously on "The Catch" I gave him all of my money, $1.
4 million, my entire life savings.
If you can't love somebody at their worst, then you never really loved them.
You're not in a relationship, are you? Are you? In a relationship? Our benefactor is expecting payment.
If we don't pay Ben: I will make enough off the Princess to cover all our debt and then some.
- Who are you? - Michael Thorne.
Alice: So he's officially Michael Thorne? He just opened three new credit cards.
We'll know where he is and what he's doing.
Margot: The mark is Qasim Halabi, the princess' guardian.
I will find out who you really are.
I will expose you.
[Grunts.]
He's a killer.
And you'll never catch him on your own.
We were together for over a year.
And you're saying that, in all that time, she never saw the real you? If you're thinking about her, I guarantee she's thinking about you.
Listen, I know you're angry, and you have every right to be.
Promise me you won't come looking for me.
Alice: I won't come looking for you.
Because I've already found you.
[Alabama Shakes' "Don't Wanna Fight" plays.]
Princess Zara Al-Salim of Kuroq.
She's beautiful, obscenely rich, and normally surrounded by security at all times My life, your life until two days ago, when her guardian, Qasim Halabi, disappeared I don't wanna fight no more I don't wanna fight no more leaving Zara vulnerable to the attentions of a man who will seduce and rob her, same way that he did me.
I don't wanna fight no more With Qasim gone, Zara's demeanor has changed completely.
She's not just stepping out She's inviting people in, meeting with local entrepreneurs about investment opportunities, opening herself up in a way that will allow us to monitor her calls, her texts, her movements, so that we can catch Christopher in the act That is, if you're okay working on this together.
Whoo I thought you'd never ask.
I don't wanna fight no more How does your partner feel about working with the FBI on this one? She doesn't know, and I'd rather she didn't find out.
She does not approve.
She thinks Christopher's taken too much from me already.
She's not wrong.
Perhaps you should let me take it from here.
No offense, but you've been after him for two years on your own.
What makes you think you can do this without me? He's not the man you knew.
He's a killer.
Alleged killer.
- He's a con man.
- [Elevator bell dings.]
Who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
Neither will I.
You want to know why you haven't caught this guy yet? - Because you're too good - [Chuckles.]
too decent.
You of all people should know how indecent I can be.
You give everyone the benefit of the doubt whether they deserve it or not, and Mr.
X doesn't deserve it.
You want to catch him you need to start thinking like a criminal.
We'll be in touch.
Thank you both for coming by.
[Door opens.]
[Door closes.]
What is it? Qasim.
He never arrived in Kuroq.
My brother's coming to look for him and to take me home.
When? Within the week, he says.
I'm not going.
Women can work here.
They can go to school.
They can go see a doctor without asking for a man's permission.
Qasim was a liar and a thief, but perhaps he had the right idea Take as much money as you can and disappear.
Will you help me disappear? In addition to our investigative services, we also have our own private security team.
In fact, there's the head of our security right there, Shawn Sullivan, conferring with our in-house counsel, Sophie Novak.
Who are they? That's Phillip Thompson, the C.
E.
O.
of Olympic Edge.
The tech company? Not just tech anymore.
Huge military contracts.
Yeah, not just our military.
You two look cozy in here.
Shouldn't you be in the Security wing, Shawn? [Chuckles.]
What is wrong with you? Do you not know those people are? I do.
What are they doing here? They won't tell us till we sign their NDA.
They're military contractors.
Are we sure we want to take this meeting? They're military contractors.
I don't think we have a choice.
In January 2010, a devastating 7.
0 earthquake crippled the city of Léogâne in Haiti.
I was there.
160,000 people lost their lives that day because first responders couldn't find them in time.
[Button clicks.]
This is Gwen Ericsson, who, along with Marie Sherwood here, designed our THRUsight technology.
As you can see, Gwen is.
extraordinary young woman.
She's a genius.
She's a beloved member of our corporate family, and she is currently missing.
She left our offices Friday night and has not been seen or heard from since.
Has anyone been to her apartment? I have.
She hasn't been there in days.
You've talked to her friends, family? Everyone.
No ones heard from her no calls, texts, e-mails.
We've tried to locate her cellphone, her laptop.
Did you contact the police? If it was any other project, we would have, but this is THRUsight.
And THRUsight is the reason we signed the NDA.
Marie.
[Keyboard clacks.]
THRUsight was designed to help located disaster victims behind walls, floors, under rubble, debris.
Valerie: It sees through walls? Marie: Drywall, cement blocks, concrete.
Human flesh.
We can monitor your heartbeat from 30 miles away.
It can also target and detect troops, armaments pretty much anything.
So it's a weapon.
It was not designed to be, but Potentially.
I can't believe this exists.
Well, we're still a few weeks away from production, but the only person that has a complete copy of the manufacturing specs - Alice: Is Gwen.
- Valerie: And now she's missing.
- Or she's been taken.
- Along with her laptop.
Taken by Any of our competitors, rival nation, terrorist group.
You can see why it's essential that we find her.
Um The thing Phillip didn't tell you is sometimes Gwen does this.
She disappears? When she can't figure something out or doesn't know the answer to something, she'll grab her laptop and go on a hike or to the beach, and I didn't tell Phillip because I thought she'd just show up [Voice breaking.]
like she always does.
But it's been four days.
I should've said something to Phillip.
I just thought Gwen was being Gwen.
Now, if anything's happened to her Don't worry, Marie.
We're gonna find her.
[Breathes shakily.]
[Footsteps depart.]
Ben: She wants me to help her disappear.
How much money have you already taken? What are you talking about? Well, you're her financial advisor.
I assume you've been skimming off the top.
That is what Qasim was doing.
And rightly so.
You're making me wish I hadn't shot him.
I am earning her trust.
You've earned her trust.
Now rob her blind.
[Lock beeps.]
Our payment is now officially past due, so it won't be long before they send someone after us, and when that happens, we have two options - deliver or - [Door closes.]
die.
You've taken the words right out of my mouth.
We'd like to request an extension.
I'm sure you would, but you know that's not possible.
Then why haven't you shot us yet? Darling, she's having her tea.
And it seems our benefactor has a little soft spot for you two.
Well, in which case, I'd like to explain.
Let me be clear.
I'm not the messenger.
I'm the collector.
I know exactly what you are.
I know who you are, as well.
You still have quite the reputation back home.
In fact, you've made it very difficult for anyone else in this position to measure up.
Have I? How much have you got? $1.
5 million.
Tell you what Give it to me, and I'll give you 24 hours.
- We're not giving you anything.
- 48 hours.
- Why are you bargaining with - Done.
[Door opens, closes.]
Why do you insist on giving away all our money? Did you not see the gun she left out in full view for maximum impact? You're going to have to tell the princess that you found a fleet of private jets for her to invest in or a château in San Simeon.
She doesn't want any of that.
She feels trapped by it all.
And at the moment, I know how she feels.
[Breathes deeply.]
Then sell her that.
Sell her what? Freedom.
How does her writing me a check for $10 million $15 million just while we're about it.
Well, how does that buy her freedom? Because she won't be writing you the check.
She'll be writing it to the charitable foundation that she'll be putting you in charge of.
A foundation in my name? Using your family's money to donate to a charity supporting the education and equal rights for women all over the world.
But my family doesn't believe in education and equal rights for women.
I know.
They hate that.
They'll disown me.
That's the idea.
But I promise you, if you make enough noise with this, you'll be a symbol.
You'll be granted asylum.
You can do whatever you want, you can live wherever you want.
It can't possibly work.
Can it? Well, in my experience, standing up for yourself and other people is always better than running away.
But you have to do it now before your brother shows up and takes your checkbook away.
When Gwen Ericsson was in high school, she invented a device that uses sound to determine the location of explosives.
In 2010, after the Haiti earthquake, Gwen returned to the U.
S.
to develop THRUsight to help first responders locate survivors.
But she didn't have any money, so She partnered with Marie Sherwood, her best friend and roommate.
Marie was finishing her MBA at Stanford when she and Gwen launched Pegasys, a tiny startup that caught the eye of Phillip Thompson.
So while Gwen was busy engineering THRUsight Marie was busy engineering the sale of Pegasys to Olympic Edge, giving Gwen all the money and resources she needed to get THRUsight off her laptop and into production.
Until the night she disappeared.
And according to Phillip Thompson, Gwen never missed a deadline.
So we're thinking kidnapping by a rival company.
I have a list of possible candidates.
Or a dictatorship or a terrorist cell.
I'm looking into some of the darker corners of the Internet.
- Any luck tracking the laptop? - Not yet.
But we do have a lead on Gwen's car.
Sophie was able to hack in to her FasTrak account, and on Saturday morning, she took Exit 76 off of 210.
What's Exit 76? The San Alvarez hiking trails.
Call Marie.
Find out if Gwen had a favorite trail there.
Lamplight Peak.
We're headed there now.
Oh, and, Danny, take Shawn with you.
What? Why? If we're dealing with terrorists I can handle terrorists.
Oh, he's Just He's bigger than you are.
To be safe.
Danny: There it is.
That's Gwen's car.
Sophie: Looks like it's been there awhile.
Shawn: Maybe we'll get lucky and the laptop will be here, too? I wouldn't count on it.
You might want to let me go first.
Why? In case there's a bomb? I mean, why would she booby-trap her own He's trying to protect us.
It's clean.
How does he know that? How do you know that? Don't you need one of those under-the-car mirror things or a dog who smells bombs for a living? [Grunting.]
It was unlocked.
Danny: Yeah, I got that.
There's no laptop.
Shall we take to the trail? [Sighs.]
[Car door closes.]
You might want to let me go first.
Yeah, we got it.
[Birds chirping.]
You know, he's just doing his job.
[Whispering.]
He took off his jacket.
Why don't you like him? He's so nice.
Looking "Nice-looking" I think is what you're trying to say.
Oh, my God.
Are you jealous? [ Scoffs .]
Of that guy? He's an idiot.
Actually, he's not.
He went to Yale.
That's not proof that he's not an idiot.
He graduated summa cum laude.
That's Latin for "not an idiot.
" Have you ever even talked to him? I'm not the one he seems to want to talk to.
Let's split up so you two can be alone.
Dan, you might want to let me lead the way.
- I'm fine.
- Oh! Ooh! [Chuckling.]
Oh, my gosh.
Are you okay? You okay, man? [Grunts.]
[Flies buzzing.]
It's Gwen.
It's all been happening so quickly.
We've gotten responses from 12 charities so far, but I think I've found the right one.
It's called the Worldwide Women's Fund, and it's run by the most incredible woman.
[Inhales deeply.]
I can't wait for you to meet her.
Let's make an appointment with her.
Uh, that's why I called you.
She's here.
Paige Baker, I'd like for you to meet Michael Thorne.
What a surprise.
How do you two know each other? We recently collaborated on a special event, but he dropped out unexpectedly.
When last we spoke, you gave me the impression you were pursuing other avenues.
A misunderstanding then.
I hope it doesn't get in the way of our working together.
No.
Of course not.
Mr.
Thorne is the best at what he does.
You two make quite the power couple.
Oh, we're not together.
Michael's my business associate.
I'd set you up with him, but he's in love with another woman.
- Princess.
- Is he? Yes, and he's been very mysterious about her.
He won't even tell me her name, only that she broke his heart.
She broke his heart? Mm.
[Cellphone ringing.]
Oh, that's a publicist about the press launch.
- I'll just be a moment.
- [Cellphone beeps.]
- Hello.
- [Footsteps depart.]
You have to leave right now.
[Chuckles.]
You don't seem to understand, Michael.
I have the power here.
I can expose you to the princess.
I can have you arrested.
For what? You got your money back.
You got your client's money back.
You've got nothing on me.
He's right.
We need a confession.
Why did you target me? I didn't target you.
The people I work with did.
They targeted Princess Zara, too.
The people he works with.
Who are they? Zara: Great.
Thank you.
Looks like the press launch is a go.
Now, what'd I miss? Just going over some logistics.
Ask him to meet you privately, away from the princess.
When shall we meet to discuss the details? I've got your number.
I'll be in touch.
You all right? You did well.
Please.
You got him talking.
I'll stay here, follow him in case he takes off.
He won't leave.
Val and I took all his money.
He'll play this con out.
And when he does we'll be there.
[Sighs.]
Are you sure you're all right? If I was a man, would you be asking me that? [Cellphone rings.]
Hey, I'm on my way back in.
Oh, my God.
I'll be right there.
[Door opens, closes.]
[Indistinct chatter, telephone ringing.]
Valerie: We're still waiting for the coroner's report.
No, we can't wait.
We have to proceed as if this was a murder.
And assume that whoever killed Gwen has the laptop.
And is either about to use it or sell it.
That's the thing.
The laptop came back online an hour ago.
It's masking its location, but I was able to install a stealth program that's sending snapshots of local wireless activity.
Which means I've narrowed the location to a single block in Downey.
- Of course you have.
- Let's go.
Doors and windows are all locked.
Do you see anyone inside? Nope.
Danny: In that case [Lock rattling.]
- You want me to, uh - No, Shawn.
I got it.
Thanks.
[Sighs.]
- Oh! - [Laughing.]
Sorry.
[Sighs.]
How'd you get inside? Doggy door.
I found the laptop, too.
Okay.
[Laptop beeping, clicking.]
It's 67% of the way through a massive upload.
- The THRUsight software? - Most likely.
Well, we can't have that.
Can we? [Engine starts.]
We don't want to stick around to catch whoever did it? - That wasn't our assignment.
- Plus, it's too dangerous.
Even for you? Shawn? I see it! [Exhales sharply.]
Is everyone okay? Aah! Oh, my G [Grunts.]
Gwen? [Breathing heavily.]
Gwen's alive? And prone to violence.
Poor Shawn got the worst of it.
Is he all right? He's okay.
Nothing can hurt that guy.
But why would Gwen fake her own death? If someone was trying to steal the software Maybe somebody wasn't trying to steal it.
Maybe Gwen was trying to steal it from her boss.
So she can sell it on the black market? I don't think so.
What are we looking at? Gwen's call history off the burner phone.
Lots of calls to the morgue.
Well, that explains the dead body she left us.
Tattoo was a nice touch.
What was her last outgoing call? Place called Mail, Stamp, & Ship near the airport.
Lot of those places are one-stop shops for fake passports, IDs.
Alice: Maybe she was planning on leaving the country with THRUsight.
Valerie: Should we call the client? Listen to me.
Please.
You can't give THRUsight back to Phillip Thompson.
Why not? Because he's selling it to terrorists.
- What? - How do you know? When Marie and I first sold THRUsight to Phillip, it was on the condition he tell us every client he sold it to.
And he withheld that information? Not officially.
As got closer to the launch, I started trolling black market sites for anything that looked like THRUsight, and I found a listing on a Tor site dedicated to illicit weapons sales.
If that's true, why not go to the authorities? Because a weapon is a weapon no matter who has it.
The DoD is everywhere.
I couldn't just turn it in or let them take it.
I-I had to disappear and take the software with me.
What about Marie? Does she know any of this? No.
I-I didn't want to put her in a position to have to lie for me.
Why should she have to pay the price for this this mess I created? I'm begging you, don't give the laptop back to Phillip Thompson.
Where are you going? - Out.
- Dressed like that? [Scoffs.]
I trust there's a compliment buried in there somewhere.
You look Yes? Dangerous.
Now, where you going? To solve our collection issues.
Should I ask how? Probably not.
[Indistinct conversations.]
[Piano music playing over speakers.]
[Footsteps approach.]
Look who's having a drink.
Go away, darling.
There's still a few hours left till our deadline.
Ticktock, ticktock darling.
Do I look worried to you? To be honest you look pretty fit to me.
[The Antlers' "Crest" plays.]
[Moaning.]
[Laughs.]
Oh, I really hope I don't have to kill you.
[Laughs.]
Wait in the dark for me Well, you could go rogue, you know, exercise free will, join our merry band.
They'd just send a replacement out to kill all three of us.
Mm-hmm.
How close are you two to getting the money? Let's not ruin this, shall we? Why'd you do it? Why'd you leave the family? You were next in line.
No, I was never next in line.
I'm a woman.
Things have changed since then.
Our Benefactor's changed.
Oh, really? So he's not insane anymore.
I wouldn't say that.
Closer to truth Well, that's why I left.
Yes, well, you still owe money.
Freedom has its price.
Then it isn't freedom, isn't it? Mnh-mnh.
Closer to truth, but much, much farther Part of the job.
The way this is part of the job? You here with me, using sex to get what you want? Is it working? Shall we try again and find out? [Cellphone vibrating.]
[Cellphone clicks.]
I can't believe you actually called.
We had a deal.
So now you're a man of your word? If I tell you everything, if I answer all your questions, will you please stay away? So you can do to the princess what you did to me? So I can keep you safe.
Fine.
Where and when? Friday 5:00, Grand Park.
I'll see you there.
Come on, Alice.
[Cellphone chimes.]
[Chuckles.]
[Knock on door.]
Morning, Muzhir.
He wouldn't let me ring you.
Who? My brother Bashir.
Zara.
Who are you? I am the Princess' business advisor, Michael Thorne.
The princess has no business advisor, nor has she need of one.
If I may, the princess has signed legal documents establishing a foundation You were saying? [Conversation in Arabic.]
[Indistinct conversations.]
Ben: Excuse me.
[Gasps.]
Michael.
I just wanted to make sure you're okay.
My brother's not a bad man.
He's just old-fashioned.
He underestimates women, which makes him easy to manipulate.
What are you up to? You and I promised Paige Baker $15 million, and she shall have it.
Now, how are you gonna manage that? By taking what you taught me about my own finances and doing a little creative accounting.
[Footsteps depart.]
[Keyboard clacking.]
[Indistinct conversations.]
How's Gwen? She's asleep.
You guys, I found the Tor listings.
"THRUsight for sale.
No questions asked.
" Sophie: The seller's IP address was cloaked, but I traced it to an encrypted data server.
Where? - Olympic Edge.
- And Phillip Thompson.
So Gwen was right.
We were hired by the bad guys.
So we can't hand over that laptop.
We have to.
Gwen isn't our client.
Olympic Edge is our client.
We have a contract.
How is this even a debate? It's not.
We give the laptop back.
- We can't.
- Alice.
If Phillip Thompson wants it back so badly, I say that we give it to him, and we see what he does with it.
Val will shake hands, collect our fee, and Phillip will leave a satisfied customer.
But after that, he'll want to unload the software quickly, which means we'll need to catch him in the act.
So he'll be selling it to us.
Which is where Sophie comes in.
She will pose as an international bidder online and make a play for the tech.
We'll set up an oversees dummy account large enough to make ourselves irresistible.
And when we win the bid, we'll set up a face-to-face for the exchange.
Thompson knows all of our faces.
None of us can be seen at the buy.
We won't be.
But we'll stay close, recording the exchange in the van while the front man brokers the sale.
Who do you have in mind? [Cellphone beeps.]
I thought we didn't like this guy.
You know what they say.
"Keep your friends close" Speaking of which They're here.
Copy.
I see them.
Where's the man in charge? Money first.
[Car door closes.]
[Sighs.]
[Cellphone beeping.]
Here we go.
- Where's Phillip Thompson? - [Car door closes.]
I'm here on Mr.
Thompson's behalf.
And you are Marie? Take her down.
Pleasure doing business.
Here's the hard drive.
Pleasure's all mine.
Now! [Marie grunts.]
Get down! [Sirens wail.]
[Handcuffs clicking.]
Marie and I have been inseparable for 10 years.
How did I not see this? You were focused on your work, saving people's lives.
And she took advantage of that.
And she'll pay for it Phillip, too.
I'm such an idiot.
You are not.
I promise this had nothing to do with you.
This was business to them, pure and simple.
So what am I supposed to do? I mean, I can't let THRUsight out into the world.
It's too late, though, isn't it? Olympic Edge has the laptop.
Which has a version of the program on it that may or may not be fully functional.
You corrupted the software? I built in a few safeguards.
But they still have you under contract.
If you run, they'll come looking, as will every other interested party.
Which is why I was better off dead.
Maybe we can help you with that.
I'm sorry, but that was awesome.
Your whole team was awesome.
I'm sure you get to go on busts like that all the time.
Mostly my team and I stand around in dark suits all day, wishing we were Danny.
Say what now? Well, you actually get to do things, solve problems.
It was fun today being a part of the team, so thank you.
See? Told you he was nice.
He's not nice.
He's perfect.
He's not perfect.
How is he not perfect? Even I'm attracted to him now.
I don't know.
He has too many muscles.
I'm serious.
Can you imagine dating a guy like that? The pressure? The upkeep? I'm sorry, you're doing just fine in the upkeep department.
Thank you? So you wouldn't date that guy? Not that he's asked, but I don't know.
Why? Just Uh, just curious.
That's all.
What's all this? This is how I raised the $15 million for our foundation.
By selling your things? By auctioning them online anonymously, of course.
And what Bashir doesn't know won't hurt him or me.
Uh They're just things.
Well, you are a far better person than I am.
There was a time in my life, perhaps even a week ago, where I thought buying all this would make me happy.
Then I met you.
And now it has.
Gwen: This is just super-weird.
I'm looking at my own tombstone.
Am I making a huge mistake? You're getting a whole new life as Alison Aykle, Peace Corps volunteer.
Alice: And if at any point Gwen Ericsson needs to come back from the dead, we specialize in that, too.
Thank you, guys.
I'm sorry about Marie.
If you ever need anything, anytime I'll call.
I promise.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
[Sighs.]
They were us, Marie and Gwen.
They were just like us.
They are not us, Allie.
We spend all day, every day together.
We tell each other everything.
We're private investigators.
We have no secrets.
We're not them.
Thanks.
[Indistinct conversations.]
Right.
[ Sighs .]
So, it is customary, when somebody dies, to throw them a wake of some kind.
Do you want to maybe get a drink? Oh.
I would've loved that.
Uh, but Shawn kind of asked me to dinner.
Oh.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
But No.
Oh, no.
It's, uh You guys have fun.
[Robert Koch's "Dreams" plays.]
[Man vocalizing.]
I've been drifting Dreams been drifting I've been sifting Didn't think I'd get to say goodbye.
Gonna be okay back home? I'm going to be a nightmare.
[Chuckles.]
I'm gonna make such a socially progressive nuisance of myself, they'll have no choice but to send me back here.
But until then Exactly what I'm fighting for I've been mixin' up my dreams Ooh, ooh I'm not sure that's my color.
It's not for you.
It's for her.
Your mystery woman Give it to her.
Call her.
Dreams I can't accept this.
Ooh, ooh You deserve love.
Oh Ooh, ooh Bashir: Zara! Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh [Car door closes.]
Ooh, ooh - You've been switching - [Cellphone chimes.]
Screens been switching You've been shifting Schemes been shifting I've been mixin' up my dreams Ooh, ooh So that's it, then.
They've gone.
Dreams Ooh, ooh I don't suppose she gave you a check.
With my dreams She did.
But her brother froze the account.
Mixing my dreams Ooh What's that? Uh that is a gift from the princess, but How much can we get for it? Ooh, ooh Not enough.
Can try giving it to Felicity the collector to buy us more time.
[Cellphone chimes.]
Ooh, ooh, ooh Grand Park is noisy, so get close to him.
Stay calm, focused on your questions.
If you're nervous, he'll know it's a trap.
Just keep your men outside until I get my confession.
She's on the move.
[Indistinct conversations, birds chirping.]
I want to know why.
I need you to know I never meant to hurt you.
You just meant to bankrupt my company and steal my life savings? It's an assignment.
It's a job.
Yeah, I gathered that.
It started as a job.
It ended that way, too.
I'm sorry.
Why me? It wasn't you.
It was your firm.
I was supposed to come in as a client.
It was supposed to last three months, and then I'd be gone.
But you got greedy.
That's not what happened.
I was going to tell you everything.
I tried.
Then I asked you to get on a plane with me and disappear.
Do you remember that? We'll go to City Hall, and we'll get married.
Then we'll get on a plane, and we will go wherever you want to go.
We'll go where no one can find us.
Ben: I had to make a choice either stay with the people I work for or leave with you, and I chose you.
It was real.
What we had was real.
And I love you.
That's why I'm here today, and that's what I have to say.
Nothing else matters.
As far as your firm is concerned [Mouths words.]
This fantasy you have that I'm a con man who's after your money is pathetic and desperate beneath you, and you need to let it go.
You need to let me go.
All agents, move in.
[Mouths words.]
Guys, head south to park and Grand.
- [Static hisses.]
- Woman: Copy that.
You let him just walk away? The only reason he walked away is because you and your men barged in here before I got my confession! He was fleeing the scene.
You were gonna arrest him on what grounds? You don't seem too upset to have lost him.
Really? I don't seem upset to you? You want to blame somebody, you blame yourself.
I did my part.
