Honest Renovations (2023) s01e05 Episode Script
Unfinished Baby Business
-I'm Jessica. -I'm Lizzy.
[cries]
[Jessica]
including your house.
Every day, I feel like I'm
failing.
[Lizzy]
it can make such a big
difference in how you parent.
[giggles]
We come in and help make your
home work for you.
Oh, my gosh!
[woman]
You needed to be celebrated.
I mean, you sound like the
police.
-[laughs] -Open up!
-Emma, who's knocking, huh?
-Let's go open the door.
[doorbell rings]
You're-- I wouldn't want you
coming to my door.
I don't know. They didn't come
to the door.
It's been like two seconds. They
have a one-year-old.
It's raining outside.
Hello.
-[all] Hello! -Hi!
Emma, say hi.
-Hi. I'm Lizzy. -Hey. Eric, nice
to meet you.
Nice to meet you, Eric.
My name is Dianna Gutierrez.
And I'm Eric Gutierrez.
[Dianna]
This is Emma.
Hi, Emma.
Nice to meet you. Emma, look at
you.
Oh, you're shy.
[Jessica] She's very cute.
We don't show people our space.
Um, so opening up our doors
and showing that space to
Jessica and Lizzy,
Yeah, come on in.
But they're parents, so I'm sure
that they understand
to be a parent and not have time
to prioritize yourself.
Quite a bit of toys taking up
the space. But yeah.
[Lizzy] Life happens.
[Dianna] Emma took over.
[Lizzy] Look, this is parent
life.
[Dianna] And it's-- it's very
organized.
Yeah, exactly.
Is it? I don't know. [chuckles]
When we walked in the house for
the Gutierrez family,
honestly, I looked around, and I
was like, "I don't get it.
Why are we here?"
Everything seemed so put
together.
-Like, it's pretty. It's pretty.
-Yeah.
Take us on a tour.
[Eric] All right. Let's head on
over.
[Dianna] Let's go this way,
Emma. Come on.
Let's go this way. Let's go.
Let's go.
Okay, here we go. Let's go.
Let's go.
Bye, Emma.
As you can see, it's a very
basic setup in here.
Is that a sink?
Hm.
[Eric] Uh, it's a vanity without
a sink.
It should be in there, but it's
out here.
They have a big old vanity
in their bedroom next to their
bed.
I have a question though. Since
this is in your room,
I'm gonna do something that I
normally don't do.
I'm gonna look in your drawers
to see if you actually use it.
-[Dianna] Oh, no! -[laughter]
That they're not even using as a
side table.
I was so confused. So confused.
-We have our mattress to sleep.
-Oh, yeah.
How long have you guys been
living here?
-[Eric] About two years now.
-No.
-[Eric] Yeah, yeah. -Oh, wow.
[Jessica] But wait, where does
it go?
It's supposed to be in our
bathroom that--
-Here we go. -Oh! Okay.
[Dianna] Eric started working on
our bathroom.
Okay. Okay.
I see that it's under
construction.
[Dianna] It's been like this
for
-Wow. -[Dianna] some time.
-[Eric] Six, seven months ago.
-Wow.
[Eric] Yeah, we started
demolition
[Jessica] So there's, like,
materials
-[Eric] Mm-hmm. -You feel like
you're in it.
[Eric] Yeah, I'm in it.
Literally, the bathroom is in
shambles.
-It's a construction site. -It's
a construction zone.
I got the flooring down.
Just have to grout and some
additional details.
And the shower was next, which
is the toughest part.
It's been like that for a couple
years now.
-[Jessica] Wow. -So, the vision
for this--
So, wait, did you teach yourself
how to do this stuff?
Uh I'm not gonna say I know
how to do it yet
but just online videos
-Okay. -Okay, okay.
The main reason I would take on
the challenge
of kind of redoing our bathroom
was to save some money.
And, uh, also it seemed like
it's doable,
They make it seem easier than it
is.
-Yeah. -[chuckles]
-So wait, does a toilet go here?
-[Eric] It does.
[Jessica] Is there enough room
to sit on the toilet
and the door doesn't hit you?
[Eric] Uh, it's very tight.
-[Jessica] Yeah. -[Eric] So
[chuckles]
[Lizzy]
-or sit on the toilet. -No. It
just wouldn't happen.
Yeah. Literally, you just would
be talking from your bed,
Like, ■Hey, I see you're doing a
number two.■
Why are we ta-- First, what?
-Who are you? -You would be able
see them!
What have you done with my
friend and her manners?
When you were like, ■I'm gonna
re-do the bathroom,■
you weren't thinking, "I can
re-do the bathroom."
You were like, "I'm gonna put
everything back where it is?"
We're kind of going for the
basics.
Whatever, uh, was gonna get it
done the soonest.
-Before Emma came. -Yeah.
-And then Emma came. -[both]
Ahh.
Emma. [laughs]
[Eric] Just trying to get it
done now.
And when I found out she was
pregnant,
We focused all of our attention
in the living room
But we did not have time to do
the rest.
And what's on the other side of
this?
-[Dianna and Eric] A closet.
-[both] Oh!
[Eric] My closet specifically,
yeah.
I think she'd be fine getting
rid of it.
[laughter]
Do you have-- do you have enough
clothes
to-- to keep this closet?
-[Eric] I'm a simple guy, yeah.
-[Dianna laughs]
[Eric] I think I just need a few
shirts.
[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
[Dianna]
So what you would say of like,
what you really want in here is
what?
I have to have a functional
bathroom.
-[laughter] -That would be nice.
-That's a great need. -With the
toilet inside.
I just want this out. I want it
where it belongs.
It seemed pretty relatable that
they prioritized every other
room in the house
except for their own.
And it seemed like when their
daughter came,
and then they just sort of
stopped.
[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
[Lizzy]
-especially as new parents -I
just don't know how many
people put a sink in your
bedroom.
Why do you got to interrupt me,
though?
-As new parents, I think that--
-But they didn't even use it.
Wow. Did you want to talk? This
is your interview.
-Go ahead. -No. You got it. You
got it.
I mean, this is not embarrassing
at all, right?
No, not at all. No shame in this
game.
No. I think Dianna is done with
the bed on the floor
And it's been there for two
years.
[both laugh]
It's been there for two years.
[Lizzy]
They need a true ensuite, not a
construction zone.
Yeah.
Where does that go?
This leads to our backyard.
-Oh! -Oh, let's see it.
Be ready for Eric's workshop.
[laughs]
-Oh! -There's the toilet.
There's the toilet.
[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
This leads to our backyard.
-Oh! -Oh, let's see it.
Be ready for Eric's workshop.
[laughs]
-Oh! -There's the toilet.
There's the toilet.
And Eric's workshop with all of
his tools.
-And here's a lot of tools.
-Wow.
The back patio is a deathtrap.
Wow, deathtrap. That was very
strong language.
Danger zone.
I feel like if there were no
tools,
it would be a great entertaining
space.
-[Eric] Right. -[Jessica] You
have, like,
an amazing yard.
-Honestly, this yard is huge.
-Huge.
[Dianna]
why we purchased this home.
and just how unfinished it is.
-We love having family over
-Mm-hmm.
but as you can see, with the
condition of this patio
[Jessica] It would be hard to
entertain.
[Dianna] It's hard to host!
And both of your families are
close by.
-They are, correct? -Yeah, they
are.
Yeah, not too far away.
[Jessica]
It's really overwhelming when
you are a new parent,
and you have a new house.
And you are working full-time.
The last thing you want to do is
more work.
And I just feel like we can be
almost like fairy godmothers
coming in
and, like, unlocking the full
potential of their house.
We have a lot to think about. I
mean, I feel like
-Our little wheels are moving.
-Yeah.
[Dianna] I like it.
-Don't worry. We got this. -We
got your back.
We'll make sure that your
aesthetic is there.
There's potential. We just got
to get it done.
Let's just finish what you
started.
-Yeah, let's do it. -Please!
She's like "Please, please."
[Dianna] It's been years.
[laughter]
Okay, the Gutierrez family.
-This is a really-- -Eric and
Dianna.
it's a very sweet family.
[Lizzy]
because their bathroom as it
currently sits,
-[Jessica]
[Lizzy]
and they also have a walkway
into the closet
that is really-- it's
unnecessary space.
[Jessica]
[Lizzy]
What about the other wall on the
other side?
-Over here? -Nope.
-Where? -Other side.
-There? -Nope.
-Where? -There.
-Here? -Yep.
-No, we're leaving this. -No,
that has to go.
Why? What are you talking about?
■Cause that's the
-Wait, what happened? -Closet.
Closet.
What's this?
[Jessica] The closet.
Oh, yeah. No, this comes down,
too. [laughs]
[Jessica] I can't with you.
-This comes down, too, duh. -How
do you not know this?
-This has to come down, too.
-Yes. Thank you, Lizzy.
But that's not a wall. That's
just a closet.
-It's a wall! -Those are just
doors.
With doors!
Duh. The doors have to come off,
silly.
Have you ever made a wall?
Yes. And we're gonna do it
again.
-She's a liar. -No, we-- we cut
out walls
-She's never made a wall before.
-and we made walls.
We cut walls.
-I feel like we'll be making
-And then we're gonna also
-knock out this -a wall in
this house.
[Lizzy]
I think we can, like, itch his
scratch.
[Lizzy] Hm.
I think it's the other way
around.
I think it's scratch his itch,
but sure.
Itch his scratch.
What? Scratch his itch.
Oh, yeah, you're right. [laughs]
But it kind of sounds nasty.
You sound nasty.
[laughter]
Oh!
-What do you think? -[Lizzy]
Wow, this is cool.
This is really cool.
We are here today to check out
and see
We have done some pushing out.
We've gone into the closet
slightly, you know,
just a little give and take
there.
At least I am, he's been here.
It's a lot bigger. I mean,
adding this
[Lizzy]
Wow. This is much different how
Eric left it.
[TJ]
-[Lizzy]-[TJ]
I mean, a tub will be
everything.
To relax at the end of the day,
after you've been caring for
your child,
for your husband, for your
people,
it's just-- it's gonna be a game
changer for her.
I'm so excited. A happy wife, a
happy life. Right?
I've heard that many times.
And so far, that's been very
true.
[Lizzy] We want to add at least
one skylight in here.
We're just not sure if it's
going to work yet.
Yeah, it should. I still think
it should work.
I think a skylight would be
awesome.
Also, it would add in some
natural light on this side.
Skylights are a great way of
adding
natural light to any space.
and make it feel a little bit
more bright and airy.
You and Jess have this thing
about, like, separate sinks.
What is the deal? I always say
as a husband, I'm like,
"Yeah, it's fine. We can share."
I don't see that big a deal with
it.
Oh, my God. Oh, my
[TJ] How much stuff does a guy
have?
Oh, my God, it has nothing to do
with that.
It has something to do with in
here,
while we're both getting ready
at the same time
-Get out of my way. Move. Move."
-You're tough--
"Get out of my way. I need this
area to do me.
I need to be like, blah, blah. I
don't want to see you.
I don't want to hear you.
I don't want you breathing on
me.
I just want to wash my face and
do my thing."
-Go back in the other room. -Too
close.
-Right. -Too close!
All right, so
[Lizzy]
Yeah, we had all of his like,
tools and stuff,
and it's like, not safe for his
daughter.
Yeah, it was like tool city.
Listen, the great part about
this is
we really want to make this
space as nice as possible.
Especially because it's right
off the bedroom.
Right. Indoor, outdoor, you want
them
to be able to use this space
to safely make memories for
their daughter
-because before she was a baby.
-Yes.
Right. And so they had no idea--
when she starts walking,
which she just started
walking
-[Lizzy] Yes! -She's on the go.
She's gonna want to be outside
and play.
It's gonna be a space that they
bring the rest of their family,
so it's gonna be multi-use.
Look at all these dirt patches,
though.
[Jessica]
-[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
-[Lizzy] Yeah, I agree. -It's so
expensive to
-This feels tiny. -[Lizzy] Is
there a table?
-Yeah. Think about it. -I agree.
This is wild.
-You have the three of them
-Right.
Each of their parents. So that's
four.
[Lizzy] His family, her family.
Right.
-And them alone is seven.
-Right. Whew!
[Jessica] Let's look at this
space from here.
Special project.
I know what you're thinking.
That table.
[Jessica]
-He loves the DIY. -I know!
This guy. My gosh.
And, you know, it would be cool
if he can make a forever piece.
I feel like he would actually be
into it.
-Like a piece of furniture.
-Yeah, I agree.
-Should we ask him? -Yes.
Oh, Eric. Oh, Eric.
He is not trying to answer my
call.
-He's not trying to answer. -At
all.
[both] Oh, hi!
-Oh. -You're not Eric. Not Eric.
[Lizzy] Who was that?
-Hey! -Oh, hi!
-You're not Eric. -Not Eric. Not
Eric.
Who was that?
Was that a random person who
just literally?
[both laugh]
-[Jessica] Hey! -[Lizzy] Oh,
it's you.
We might or might not have
called the wrong number.
[Jessica] Did we just call you a
second ago?
[Lizzy] Did someone else just
pick up your phone call?
-Huh? -No. We definitely called
-some-- Stranger. -We called a
stranger.
[Eric]
I just wanna know who answers
-a FaceTime from a stranger.
-From a stranger.
-Eric, what's up? You picked up.
-[Jessica] Hi.
We're calling because we had a
little bit of an idea.
We have a little bit of a
special project.
[Lizzy] Jess and I were
thinking
[Jessica] That you should come
over to this house,
and we will surprise you. And
that would be cool.
But you can't go inside the
house.
You have to come outside the
house.
You have to come through the
outside
and never walk inside the house.
-[Jessica] Awesome.
[Eric]
[Jessica] Bye. Have a good
night.
We definitely called a stranger.
You should call him back.
-Oh, my God. -He was kind of
cute.
[laughs]
All right, so my favorite thing
in the whole world
-is homemade furniture. -Whole
world?
-In the whole world. -Wow.
That's phenomenal.
'Cause there's something-- it's
like cooking,
except it lasts longer.
[Tinku] That is true.
[Lizzy] Are we ready to do this?
[Tinku] Let's take this one off.
[Lizzy] But wait, before we get
started though,
we invited a little guest to
help us out.
Nice.
-[Jessica] Oh, there he is.
-[Lizzy] Hi!
-Hey, guys. What's going on?
-How are you doing?
Good. How are you?
Good. How are you holding up
outside of your house?
-Hi, how are ya? -I'm doing all
right.
-Yeah? -How's it going?
How you doing, Eric? You want
some gloves?
Yeah, what are you guys working
on?
Okay, so we have an idea. Go
ahead, Lizzy.
Well Well, we have an idea.
So, our idea is to make you a
table.
[Jessica] Like one of those
like, forever pieces.
-We know you love a DIY project.
-Right, yeah.
You can't get enough of one.
[laughs]
So, we really wanted you to put
your touch on this
as a piece that you can really
feel proud of in your home.
-Cool. Yeah. -All right. Let's
do this!
-There we go. -Awesome!
That feels official.
Now that looks good.
Are you nervous about our
abilities
to freak your space?
-I trust you guys. Yeah. -Yeah!
Did-- Did she just say ■freak
your space?■
Yes, she did.
[Jessica]
by our design choices?
Oh, I think so. He's gonna be
shocked.
-[Jessica] Really? -I think he's
gonna be shocked,
but in a good way. I think he's
gonna feel so happy
-Yeah. -that literally,
-he started the process
-[Jessica] Mm-hmm.
but that we were able to come
in
-and like, wrap it all together.
-Yeah.
It's like you almost made a pot
of chili today.
-What? -You cook.
You just said cooking is like
making furniture.
Literally, you know how you say
I do this.
We were here, and then we just
made a hard left.
You guys have the worst
analogies, for sure.
This is the Gutierrez's
backyard. It's massive.
It's a big space.
[Jessica]
They were talking about the
concern of the water bill,
-Southern California, drought.
-[Lizzy] Mm, that's right.
-[Jeff]
-[Jessica]
Enter Jeff. [laughs]
Yeah. There you go. Here. Happy
to help.
[Jeff] Looking at it, we're
talking about
1500 or so square feet. Get it
graded.
-1500 square feet? -Yeah.
-That's like-- -That's a mini
house.
-Yes! That's like a house.
-[Lizzy] That is
That was literally the size of
my parent's last house.
Yeah. This is-- it's a lot of
space.
-This is crazy. It's huge.
-[Jeff] Well, honestly,
if you're watering this during
the summer,
it's probably 725 gallons a
week.
Wow!
[Jeff] That's watering it four
times a week.
And to keep it green, you got to
sometimes water every day.
[Lizzy]
-[Jessica]
[Jeff] We can make it nice. Make
it usable,
place that they want to be
walking on.
-[Lizzy]
[Jeff]
My dream for the space is to
have a little play house
and a swing set.
Normally I wouldn't put both in
a yard in the same space,
-but there's so much yard.
-[Jeff] I agree.
And it's gonna make the yard
look so huge.
So beautiful. Yeah.
-And beautiful. Huge. -[laughs]
It's like, "Oh, my gosh, you
have the biggest yard ever
Jessica just wants to have a tea
party
with their little girl.
Who doesn't want to have a tea
party?
As long as I get the invitation
for the tea party,
-my vote is yes. -[Lizzy]
Exactly.
-All right. Let's do this. -It's
gonna be great.
-Yeah. -[Lizzy] Awesome, guys.
There you go.
-He's so much nicer than I am.
-Yeah.
Jess has rounded up all the
crew.
Ready?
And is getting the new closet
ready for drywall.
Okay.
-Oh. -[laughter]
[Sammy] Yeah.
[Lizzy] But excitement doesn't
equal experience
with that big old saw.
I'm nervous.
[saw whirrs]
Up and down.
-[Sammy] There you go up. -Ride
the horsey.
-Got to go forward. -[Lizzy]
Ride the horsey.
There you go. There she goes.
-I have the technique. -There
she goes.
My hand is cramping. My hand is
cramping.
Here you go. Here's some rose
tea for your hand.
Oh, great.
All right, Sammy.
-Let's put the beam. -Oh, the
tea-- the tea is down.
-I got my big piece of wood.
-[Lizzy] Nice.
Sammy, I feel very strong right
now.
[Lizzy] Please don't just go
backwards.
There you go. Little, there.
Nice. Good fit.
[Jessica] Oh, wow, look at us.
-[Sammy speaking] -I'm
exhausted.
Oh.
That's just to start you off,
buddy.
Am I gonna do the rest?
Let's go. You got this.
-I'm feeling good about myself.
-[drill whirrs]
Wait, I don't-- I don't want
your hand that close.
No, it's okay. Go slow.
-[Lizzy] He trusts you. -I don't
trust me.
[Sammy] Okay.
[Lizzy]
-[Lizzy]
-[Tinku]
You got this.
Wait, I don't want your hand
that close.
No, it's okay. Go slow.
-I don't trust me. -[Sammy]
Okay.
[Lizzy] Oh, my God. Oh, my God!
I start it. I started it. Let me
start it.
[Lizzy] Oh, my Oh, my
I did it gentle. I did it
gentle.
[Lizzy] Sammy.
You're such a professional.
I love it. You make us look so
profesh.
-Looks good. -What else are we
doing?
-We're doing the-- the drywall.
-Drywall.
Okay, ready, set. [groans]
-Feeling good about this. -I am,
too.
[drill whirrs]
-It didn't even go all the way.
-They need to go all the way.
Let me try one. What is going on
here?
-[Lizzy laughs] -You--
you had it in reverse.
You're freaking lying.
Why did you have it in reverse?
How did it even go in?
Are you-- she's rolling through
this?
[Tinku] She's rolling through
it.
-[bleep] -[laughs]
[laughs] It's okay. I still love
you, boo.
Oh, my God.
You know the problem is,
-that when we're doing work
-Tell me the problem.
she likes to talk mess to me,
and then I have to talk mess
back to her,
-and so she slows me down.
-[laughs]
I still love you, boo.
Almost like it's definitely not
a straight line.
You have to push it, Jessica.
[drill whirrs]
[laughter]
-It's the glasses. -[Jessica]
Oh, sure.
It's the glasses.
Whatever.
Has anyone ever spackled like
this?
I feel like you're racing.
I'm precisely fast.
[Tinku] You're very aggressive
with your, uh--
-with your movement on this--
-[Lizzy] She's aggressive
-with everything. -Yeah.
Have you seen her put sunscreen
on her children before?
-[laughs] -[Tinku] No.
It's abusive.
I have to do it before they run
away.
So, I just mush it on their face
quickly.
[Lizzy] All right, great.
Thanks, Sammy.
-She knows everywhere. -[Lizzy]
Here we go.
Here we go. Here we go.
[Jessica] I think I'm hired.
-Yeah. Hired or fired. -Yes,
you're hired.
One of the two.
Like, this is a really big tub.
I mean, this is definitely a
couple's tub.
-[Jessica] Lizzy? -[Lizzy] Yes.
-[Jessica] Look what I found.
-What is this?
So I was thinking we can tape
out visually
-and see the nook. -[chuckles]
What?
[Jessica]
Did you just find this in the
house?
I found it in some scraps.
You're You're a crafty little
one.
You know just very
resourceful.
-You're a crafty little one.
-I'm resourceful.
My grandmother taught me how to
be resourceful.
[Lizzy] I really like how you
design.
This is fascinating.
Well, then there's no mistake.
Yeah, definitely. You cannot
make a mistake
when you use Styrofoam and blue
tape.
-You're absolutely right. -So
just to visualize and see.
No mistakes. None.
Every time I think either one of
us go on vacation,
we stay at a hotel with a dope
bathroom.
Yeah.
They have the shower niche on
lock.
[Lizzy] This is so profesh.
No, it's more of a visual for
us.
If Eric and Dianna walked in
this house right now
and saw how we designed their
bathroom nook,
I think they'd be afraid.
Okay, now let's see about this
one.
And we can see if we don't like
it
and then do squares.
Like, different shapes,
they're always oversized, like--
It's always either tiled, like,
with a really beautiful tiling.
I'm obsessed with arches.
They're beautiful,
[Lizzy] The things you do for
friendship.
The things you do for design.
Just because I don't give you a
forewarning
on all of my ideas
And so it's like why can't we
bring this luxurious,
like, hotel vibe into the main
bedroom suite? Yes.
Why don't you lay down in the
bathtub
and see where you would reach
up?
I think the whole thing is
lowered
because this is super deep.
-Look how deep you are. -Can you
make it lower?
-Can you reach? -You know what I
like to do?
I like to lay in the tub like
this
-as it's filling up. -[Lizzy]
Uh-huh.
And then I like to lay in the
tub as it's draining.
Wow, that is really weird.
[Lizzy]
when she has her bathtub,
'cause one of the things she
said was,
she would love a bathtub. It's
pretty.
-Yeah. So why not? -It makes you
feel good.
We do love bathroom niches.
That's funny.
Good job. Oh, thanks.
Okay, thanks. Thanks. Right on.
We have to make this bedroom and
bathroom a sanctuary.
We have a couple of goals today.
We need to pick out a vanity,
and we need to get that mattress
off the floor.
We have their preferences.
Yeah. So what is their color?
What do they like, and what do
they don't like?
So Eric loves lighter, neutral
colors.
-[Lizzy] Mm-hmm. -Um
Dianna's very similar. She likes
earthy tones,
light browns, light blues.
I mean, to be honest with you,
even just looking at
the vanity that they picked out,
it is very neutral.
-Very traditional. -Very
traditional.
-Yeah, that is great. -[Lizzy]
It is great.
Because they have an aesthetic.
It's clear.
I think it would be harder for
us if we had like,
mid-century, traditional. We
have a lane.
-We have a lane. -We're gonna
stay in our lane.
[Lizzy] It makes it easier for
us.
So, we need to definitely do
something about the bedroom.
-Let's go on to Home Depot.
-[Lizzy] Okay.
And look for a second.
[Lizzy] You know what I love is
that Home Depot
has great decor options
available online.
Yeah, and so many
super-affordable options.
He likes a California king
because he's long.
That's perfect. He likes it
longer.
-And narrow. -And narrow, yeah.
■Cause the room is not that
wide.
Exactly. So I don't feel like we
have enough width
if we're gonna put two
nightstands
on either side of the bed.
[Jessica] Yeah. I love this.
Actually, it fits their color
scheme perfectly.
It's giving me a little a
little height.
And it's a nice, like, updated
version
of a traditional bed frame.
So easy and convenient to shop
for home decor
at homedepot.com.
I think if they want to stay
married,
post children, they need a
double vanity.
[Lizzy] This is-- These are
facts.
[laughter]
[Lizzy] This is beautiful,
though.
-[Jessica] Yeah, it's classic.
-Way to tie it all together.
Go ahead, Home Depot!
-[Jessica] Right? -I see you.
And we can pick this up
in-store.
So that way, we can also go look
at some of the things
they have in store that we can
also do
with tile in the bathroom.
-Tile and paint. -[Lizzy] Yeah.
Okay, great.
-All right, cool. -Yay!
-Go, Team. -Good job.
[Jessica]
[Tinku] All right.
Little Home Depot. Okay, wait a
minute, Tinku.
Yes. Tile.
Let us know what aisle is tile
in.
-[Tinku] Aisle eight. -[both]
Aisle eight?
-Yep. Let's do this. -All right,
let's do it.
[Jessica]
and pick up the vanity
-we ordered. -[Tinku] All right.
[Jessica] So many amazing
options.
[Lizzy] Gutierrez family, here
we go.
We know we want to go in, like,
the white gray world.
Yeah.
That's too shiny, right? What
about this?
[Lizzy] Cute.
[Lizzy sighs]
-What are you thinking? -This is
sweet.
-Did you pull this already?
-Nope. Oh, these have stripes.
That could be interesting or
might be too busy.
Ooh, this is pretty.
Are you thinking this type of
design
for the wall or for the floor?
[Lizzy] I like this on the
floor.
[Jessica] Me, too.
[Lizzy] You know, I think that's
really cute.
Yeah, maybe not super dark
grout, but like
a little gray, and it will tie
these two together.
-You can't go wrong. -[Lizzy]
They're classic.
Is this how you want it on the
wall?
Yeah, vertical.
[Lizzy] I just think I really
liked how
it makes it a little bit more
interesting.
We're used to subway tiles going
horizontally.
I think it's kind of cool to
make a vertical moment.
I do think there are a lot of
choices,
-but I think that-- -[Jessica]
As good as we are,
-we can't screw this up. -You
can't screw this up.
[Jessica] Basically, they tell
you what goes with what here.
I mean, they literally even tell
you what matches.
[Lizzy] I feel like the color
palettes is there.
And if you have the same color
palette,
-you can't go wrong. -[Jessica]
You really can't.
-That's the beauty in it.
-[Tinku] Yeah.
[Lizzy] Okay.
[Jessica grunts] Tinku.
-[Tinku] Did you need help?
-Tinku.
[Lizzy] I'm gonna let you do
that thing.
[strains] It's so heavy. It's so
heavy.
-Oh, my God. I have my one.
-It's actually pretty heavy.
[Lizzy] There you go.
[Jessica] It's so heavy.
[strains]
Yeah, just a little
[Lizzy] You guys got that?
[Jessica] Oh, wait, I think we
need to put this back.
[Tinku] Yeah, probably should
put it back.
Don't worry, nothing to see
here.
[Lizzy] Oh, my God. [laughs]
[Lizzy] Paint!
This is for their main bedroom.
-Oh, we picked out the same one.
-The same?
[Jessica] Easy-peasy.
Whenever we choose the same
color, it wins.
That's when we know.
I just feel like this is
Lizzy's
[Lizzy] Soul?
[Jessica] this is her soul.
-This is my soul. -No, you
Sorry. But this is my soul just
so we're clear.
-Yes, it's fine. -This is my
soul.
-My entire soul. -[Tinku] What's
the name on it?
It is extreme yellow.
-My entire soul. -[Tinku]
Extreme yellow.
-There we go. Here we go.
-[mouthing]
[both chuckle]
[Lizzy] Let's go get our vanity.
-Hi. -How you guys doing?
[Lizzy] Good.
So we just have a pickup. So,
that's our order number.
Yeah. 3-43-4-1-2-7.
It's ready for pickup. I'll go
and grab it for you.
Okay.
-Look how easy that was. -Good.
-Pull. -Oh, I'm gonna help you.
Oh, my gosh.
-It looks amazing. -[Jeff] Thank
you.
This looks so different.
They have the most amazing
backyard space.
So beautiful. It's just been
unusable space though.
-That's what's so wild.
-[Jessica] Yeah.
We're gonna hook it up.
You guys missed it by a day.
We were gonna actually get you
on the--
on the piece of equipment that
was ripping up all the grass.
We heard.
-Yeah. One day missed. -That
would have been fun.
But what we did do is save a
little work for you
if you're up for it. We've got
some, uh
we've got some nails to put
down.
Why is everyone always trying to
put us to work?
You don't think we work hard
enough.
-Lizzy loves nailing things.
-[Jeff] Okay.
I love nailing things, hitting
things.
-All right. -It's the best.
He-- I don't know where-- what
planet
he thought that we could help
with that.
That was probably not the best
idea.
Can you promise not to nail your
finger?
I'm going to have a coffee in
one hand,
and I have a free hand for said
activity.
Well, if you guys are ready,
let's grab it.
So if you come this way, I've
set up a cut line
-for both of you. -[both] Okay.
Just grab that hammer. A little
bit of technique to it.
I suggest you might need-- you
might need another hand.
[groaning] Sorry, I did the
stairs the other day.
-Okay. -You're so dramatic.
-Are these steel? -[Jeff] You
ready, Lizzy?
Yes, I am. [chuckles]
[Jeff] Take that grass and pull
it back a little bit.
-[Lizzy] Okay. -[Jeff] That's it
and then
you don't want to drive it all
the way down
but keep going. Keep going.
-That's it. -That's all the way
down.
Now what's gonna happen is,
it'll be covered up.
How do you make sure that it
that it hides?
[Jeff] Push those blades back
-This is an art form. -and
hold many of them down.
That's right.
Personally, it's a race, and I'm
winning.
Jess, you're falling behind.
I'm awesome.
[chuckles]
-But slow, I gotta say. -Oh,
wow. [laughs]
It's called precision, my
friend.
Okay.
If we were your employees,
would we get our end of year
bonus?
Uh, for sure.
-Stop lying to her. -Like would
you try to keep me?
-Probably. Good employees
-Fire her on the spot.
are hard to find, I gotta
say.
Spread it, dink, dink, dink.
-Spread it. Dink, dink, dink.
-[laughs]
I did all of it. I did
everything he asked.
Luis, what do you think? How's
she doing?
Luis, I don't have your eyes, my
friend.
[Lizzy] Would you like to check
mine?
Um, actually, mine looked
perfect.
Do you even know where they are?
No, I can't see them. Just--
Oh, my God. That's great.
That means I've done a good job.
-Yeah, it's awesome. -Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you for being honest.
-Thank you, Luis. Appreciate it.
-I love that.
-There you go.
The family's gonna be so
excited. I'm so happy.
Nails are all in.
Uh, just watch those nails.
Yeah, it works. Totally works
for the barrel rolls.
[Lizzy] We're at our favorite
time.
-So close to the end of reveal.
-So close to reveal day.
[Jessica] Let's go shopping for
the Gutierrez family.
-[Lizzy] Let's do it. -Let's get
this one.
[Lizzy] Let's grab a few clothes
for Emma.
A sleep sack. Oh, she got her
bath.
So, we have to do, like, a spa
time moment.
Yes. That's right. Okay, let's
do spa time for moment for mom.
So we'll do bubble bath.
Bath salts.
For sure. Some body cream.
-Definitely a candle. -Yes.
Body oil.
[Lizzy] What about body cream?
-Rich body cream. -[Lizzy] Love
that.
And bath bomb.
[Lizzy] One thousand percent.
Cool. So exciting.
That's gonna be sweet. She's
gonna love this.
It's gonna be great.
-TV magic. -Favorite part.
[Jessica] I love all of this
bedding. It's so clean.
[Lizzy] It's really pretty.
I feel like with this kind,
we should tuck it in so you can
see the bed frame.
[Lizzy] Feels like a little
hotel.
It does. It's a really simple
aesthetic.
Seams go in.
-Oh. -[Lizzy] Openings go
inside.
-I love this. -[Lizzy] It looks
so comfy.
I know. Can you believe they
were sleeping on the ground,
and now they have, like, an
actual bed frame.
And their side table was--
-[Lizzy] Was the sink vanity.
-The vanity.
They're going to be floored. No
pun intended.
Bat-tap-bop-ping.
Here's the pillows.
-A little lumbar. -Mm-hmm.
[Jessica] I love that there's so
many options
for outdoor furniture that makes
it look like
it could be in a house as well.
I know, it really does. It
really just brings that
California vibe, the
outdoor-indoor living.
I really think they're gonna get
a lot of use out of this space.
-I want to hang out here.
-[chuckles]
Can we roll in the grass? I'm
not doing that.
-Why? -Because I don't roll in
grass.
You're not fun.
[Lizzy]
-Hi! -Hello!
[Jessica] Dianna and Eric,
welcome home!
My goodness, this is so
exciting.
How are you?
Good to see you. Yeah, we're
back.
-Hi! -Hi!
I am so excited for you.
Oh, my gosh. Are you guys
nervous?
-I'm nervous. -Crazy nervous.
-Like butterflies in my stomach.
-[Jessica] Oh, my God!
-We're so nervous, too. -Palm
sweaty?
-Palms are sweaty. -[Lizzy] But
in a good way.
-In a good way. -Let's go.
I'm feeling nervous, but it's a
good nervous.
I'm so scared. [laughs] You're
ready?
-Ready, ready. -Okay.
[Lizzy] So you're gonna walk in.
On the count of three. One,
two
[Dianna] Oh, my God.
[Lizzy] You love each other?
Three.
[Jessica] Let's do this!
Oh, my God!
[Lizzy]
[Dianna]
[Lizzy] On the count of three.
One, two
[Dianna] Oh, my God.
[Lizzy] You love each other?
Three.
[Jessica] Let's do this!
Oh, my God!
[Lizzy] Welcome home!
Whoa. Oh, my God. I'm gonna cry.
Oh, I love this so much. Oh, my
God!
The bed's huge.
[Jessica] We also took your bed
off the floor.
-[laughter] -It looks a little
higher.
[Jessica] We gave you a dresser.
We got rid of the nightstand
that was a vanity.
We gave you a walk-in closet.
Guys. Wow. Oh, my God.
Look at this closet!
I don't recognize this room!
It's a walk-in, very spacious.
I am beyond words. [chuckles]
Oh, I don't think I've ever
loved a closet so much.
[Lizzy] You guys, there's still
one more. Come this way.
You have to--
[Dianna] Oh, this way. Oh, the
bathroom.
Oh, my God.
You did a whole new layout.
-So different. -What?
Look at this tub!
Oh, my goodness.
It's like it doubled in size.
How did you do this? [chuckles]
Oh, my God.
-[Jessica]
-The skylight. Yes. -That's what
it is? Okay.
[Eric]
[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
[Lizzy]
And we made the floor so that
when you're wet, it--
you shouldn't slip because it's
so small.
It makes it a little more
grippy.
Oh, my gosh.
[Eric] This looks a thousand
times better.
I could never imagine a tub in
that bathroom.
I always thought a shower is
what fits.
This is what we can do, so just
to see
[Eric]
-It's crazy. -This is just
amazing.
[cries, sniffles]
Thank you so much.
These pictures just Thank
you.
I gotta say the photos around
the room, I just
Oh, my God. Dianna, stop! You're
making us cry.
Sorry. It's just, I love-- just
like these are all
I can-- [chuckles] Oh, my God.
I am speechless.
This is absolutely like, beyond
my wildest dreams.
[sniffles] Thank you. Oh, my
God.
Like, I'm like, crying.
[Jessica] We have one more
surprise for y'all.
Oh, my God.
This is for you.
[Jessica] Welcome to your
backyard oasis.
Oh, my-- What?
[Eric] It's insane.
[Dianna laughs]
[Eric]
-[Dianna]-[Jessica]
-[Eric] It's beautiful.
-[Dianna] It's so functional.
Yeah, the table we were working
on.
[Dianna] Oh. We what?
Oh, right. Surprise. Yeah.
Just like yeah, "The table we
made--" What?
So, Dianna, Eric came over and
helped us make this table.
-[Dianna]
-[Eric]
It is now a family heirloom.
[Dianna] This looks so great!
How many meals will you guys
have around this table?
-[Dianna] Countless. -So many.
Every single one.
It was just really neat to hear
that
he was incorporated in that
because I know how much
and I think it just speaks to
who you are
and how you like to make things.
So
I love that we have that added
to our patio.
[gasps] Wow.
Ooh, we got a bar out here.
What?
Full bar fridge, TV. It's
insane.
Just a big transformation. It
used to be a mess.
So, it's-- it's amazing.
-We're excited to use that.
-Yes.
It's so
Full bar, fridge, TV.
[laughs] I was just waiting for
you.
-Waiting, Dianna. Waiting.
-[Dianna] Oh, my God.
I'm gonna cry again. Oh, my God!
It's amazing. Emma's gonna love
that.
[Eric]
Oh, God, we're not gonna be able
to get her inside.
[Lizzy] Now, you don't have to
go to a park anymore!
Park comes to you.
[Dianna]
And the best part is, like, with
the turf, it's soft.
[Jessica]
[Eric]
[laughter]
-[Lizzy] Exactly. -[Jessica] You
actually can.
Yeah, that's beautiful.
Thank you so much to the both of
you.
Oh, you're welcome.
[Dianna] My heart is just so
full right now.
[laughter]
[cheering]
Thank you. This is all yours.
Do you love this?
Oh, she's so cute.
It's all yours.
Yeah, it's all yours.
[Lizzy] Oh, my goodness.
[Jessica] Oh, we have some
parting gifts.
We sure do.
Oh, my goodness. Wait, there's
more?
-[Lizzy] Wait, there's more.
-[Eric] Stop it.
You've already done enough.
[laughs]
It has been so special to have
Jessica and Lizzy be a part of
this.
So, we are so grateful. They're
like
our fairy godmothers. [laughs]
This is really for baby Emma.
Oh, my goodness, Emma. Look at
that. That's for you.
For her and this is for you guys
and your home.
-Just a housewarming. -[Dianna]
Thank you.
Just a little clean start--
starter kit.
Love it.
-Thank you. Appreciate it.
-[Dianna] Thank you so much.
-Really appreciate it. -Enjoy
everything.
-[Lizzy] And thank you.
-[Jessica] Yeah.
Thank you for allowing us to
come in.
And we're just so happy for you.
-Just invite us over. -Yes.
-Yeah. -I wanna eat. I wanna do
coffee.
-I want to do all the things.
-Come on over.
-Say thank you. Bye.
-[Jessica].
-Bye, guys. -[Dianna] Thank you.
[giggles]
It's amazing to be Emma's mom
and watching her grow.
and be able to create these
memories
and have a space that's going to
allow that to happen.
More slide. More slide.
Okay, here we go, Emma.
You ready? One, two, three!
-[giggles] -[chuckles]
[cries]
[Jessica]
including your house.
Every day, I feel like I'm
failing.
[Lizzy]
it can make such a big
difference in how you parent.
[giggles]
We come in and help make your
home work for you.
Oh, my gosh!
[woman]
You needed to be celebrated.
I mean, you sound like the
police.
-[laughs] -Open up!
-Emma, who's knocking, huh?
-Let's go open the door.
[doorbell rings]
You're-- I wouldn't want you
coming to my door.
I don't know. They didn't come
to the door.
It's been like two seconds. They
have a one-year-old.
It's raining outside.
Hello.
-[all] Hello! -Hi!
Emma, say hi.
-Hi. I'm Lizzy. -Hey. Eric, nice
to meet you.
Nice to meet you, Eric.
My name is Dianna Gutierrez.
And I'm Eric Gutierrez.
[Dianna]
This is Emma.
Hi, Emma.
Nice to meet you. Emma, look at
you.
Oh, you're shy.
[Jessica] She's very cute.
We don't show people our space.
Um, so opening up our doors
and showing that space to
Jessica and Lizzy,
Yeah, come on in.
But they're parents, so I'm sure
that they understand
to be a parent and not have time
to prioritize yourself.
Quite a bit of toys taking up
the space. But yeah.
[Lizzy] Life happens.
[Dianna] Emma took over.
[Lizzy] Look, this is parent
life.
[Dianna] And it's-- it's very
organized.
Yeah, exactly.
Is it? I don't know. [chuckles]
When we walked in the house for
the Gutierrez family,
honestly, I looked around, and I
was like, "I don't get it.
Why are we here?"
Everything seemed so put
together.
-Like, it's pretty. It's pretty.
-Yeah.
Take us on a tour.
[Eric] All right. Let's head on
over.
[Dianna] Let's go this way,
Emma. Come on.
Let's go this way. Let's go.
Let's go.
Okay, here we go. Let's go.
Let's go.
Bye, Emma.
As you can see, it's a very
basic setup in here.
Is that a sink?
Hm.
[Eric] Uh, it's a vanity without
a sink.
It should be in there, but it's
out here.
They have a big old vanity
in their bedroom next to their
bed.
I have a question though. Since
this is in your room,
I'm gonna do something that I
normally don't do.
I'm gonna look in your drawers
to see if you actually use it.
-[Dianna] Oh, no! -[laughter]
That they're not even using as a
side table.
I was so confused. So confused.
-We have our mattress to sleep.
-Oh, yeah.
How long have you guys been
living here?
-[Eric] About two years now.
-No.
-[Eric] Yeah, yeah. -Oh, wow.
[Jessica] But wait, where does
it go?
It's supposed to be in our
bathroom that--
-Here we go. -Oh! Okay.
[Dianna] Eric started working on
our bathroom.
Okay. Okay.
I see that it's under
construction.
[Dianna] It's been like this
for
-Wow. -[Dianna] some time.
-[Eric] Six, seven months ago.
-Wow.
[Eric] Yeah, we started
demolition
[Jessica] So there's, like,
materials
-[Eric] Mm-hmm. -You feel like
you're in it.
[Eric] Yeah, I'm in it.
Literally, the bathroom is in
shambles.
-It's a construction site. -It's
a construction zone.
I got the flooring down.
Just have to grout and some
additional details.
And the shower was next, which
is the toughest part.
It's been like that for a couple
years now.
-[Jessica] Wow. -So, the vision
for this--
So, wait, did you teach yourself
how to do this stuff?
Uh I'm not gonna say I know
how to do it yet
but just online videos
-Okay. -Okay, okay.
The main reason I would take on
the challenge
of kind of redoing our bathroom
was to save some money.
And, uh, also it seemed like
it's doable,
They make it seem easier than it
is.
-Yeah. -[chuckles]
-So wait, does a toilet go here?
-[Eric] It does.
[Jessica] Is there enough room
to sit on the toilet
and the door doesn't hit you?
[Eric] Uh, it's very tight.
-[Jessica] Yeah. -[Eric] So
[chuckles]
[Lizzy]
-or sit on the toilet. -No. It
just wouldn't happen.
Yeah. Literally, you just would
be talking from your bed,
Like, ■Hey, I see you're doing a
number two.■
Why are we ta-- First, what?
-Who are you? -You would be able
see them!
What have you done with my
friend and her manners?
When you were like, ■I'm gonna
re-do the bathroom,■
you weren't thinking, "I can
re-do the bathroom."
You were like, "I'm gonna put
everything back where it is?"
We're kind of going for the
basics.
Whatever, uh, was gonna get it
done the soonest.
-Before Emma came. -Yeah.
-And then Emma came. -[both]
Ahh.
Emma. [laughs]
[Eric] Just trying to get it
done now.
And when I found out she was
pregnant,
We focused all of our attention
in the living room
But we did not have time to do
the rest.
And what's on the other side of
this?
-[Dianna and Eric] A closet.
-[both] Oh!
[Eric] My closet specifically,
yeah.
I think she'd be fine getting
rid of it.
[laughter]
Do you have-- do you have enough
clothes
to-- to keep this closet?
-[Eric] I'm a simple guy, yeah.
-[Dianna laughs]
[Eric] I think I just need a few
shirts.
[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
[Dianna]
So what you would say of like,
what you really want in here is
what?
I have to have a functional
bathroom.
-[laughter] -That would be nice.
-That's a great need. -With the
toilet inside.
I just want this out. I want it
where it belongs.
It seemed pretty relatable that
they prioritized every other
room in the house
except for their own.
And it seemed like when their
daughter came,
and then they just sort of
stopped.
[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
[Lizzy]
-especially as new parents -I
just don't know how many
people put a sink in your
bedroom.
Why do you got to interrupt me,
though?
-As new parents, I think that--
-But they didn't even use it.
Wow. Did you want to talk? This
is your interview.
-Go ahead. -No. You got it. You
got it.
I mean, this is not embarrassing
at all, right?
No, not at all. No shame in this
game.
No. I think Dianna is done with
the bed on the floor
And it's been there for two
years.
[both laugh]
It's been there for two years.
[Lizzy]
They need a true ensuite, not a
construction zone.
Yeah.
Where does that go?
This leads to our backyard.
-Oh! -Oh, let's see it.
Be ready for Eric's workshop.
[laughs]
-Oh! -There's the toilet.
There's the toilet.
[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
This leads to our backyard.
-Oh! -Oh, let's see it.
Be ready for Eric's workshop.
[laughs]
-Oh! -There's the toilet.
There's the toilet.
And Eric's workshop with all of
his tools.
-And here's a lot of tools.
-Wow.
The back patio is a deathtrap.
Wow, deathtrap. That was very
strong language.
Danger zone.
I feel like if there were no
tools,
it would be a great entertaining
space.
-[Eric] Right. -[Jessica] You
have, like,
an amazing yard.
-Honestly, this yard is huge.
-Huge.
[Dianna]
why we purchased this home.
and just how unfinished it is.
-We love having family over
-Mm-hmm.
but as you can see, with the
condition of this patio
[Jessica] It would be hard to
entertain.
[Dianna] It's hard to host!
And both of your families are
close by.
-They are, correct? -Yeah, they
are.
Yeah, not too far away.
[Jessica]
It's really overwhelming when
you are a new parent,
and you have a new house.
And you are working full-time.
The last thing you want to do is
more work.
And I just feel like we can be
almost like fairy godmothers
coming in
and, like, unlocking the full
potential of their house.
We have a lot to think about. I
mean, I feel like
-Our little wheels are moving.
-Yeah.
[Dianna] I like it.
-Don't worry. We got this. -We
got your back.
We'll make sure that your
aesthetic is there.
There's potential. We just got
to get it done.
Let's just finish what you
started.
-Yeah, let's do it. -Please!
She's like "Please, please."
[Dianna] It's been years.
[laughter]
Okay, the Gutierrez family.
-This is a really-- -Eric and
Dianna.
it's a very sweet family.
[Lizzy]
because their bathroom as it
currently sits,
-[Jessica]
[Lizzy]
and they also have a walkway
into the closet
that is really-- it's
unnecessary space.
[Jessica]
[Lizzy]
What about the other wall on the
other side?
-Over here? -Nope.
-Where? -Other side.
-There? -Nope.
-Where? -There.
-Here? -Yep.
-No, we're leaving this. -No,
that has to go.
Why? What are you talking about?
■Cause that's the
-Wait, what happened? -Closet.
Closet.
What's this?
[Jessica] The closet.
Oh, yeah. No, this comes down,
too. [laughs]
[Jessica] I can't with you.
-This comes down, too, duh. -How
do you not know this?
-This has to come down, too.
-Yes. Thank you, Lizzy.
But that's not a wall. That's
just a closet.
-It's a wall! -Those are just
doors.
With doors!
Duh. The doors have to come off,
silly.
Have you ever made a wall?
Yes. And we're gonna do it
again.
-She's a liar. -No, we-- we cut
out walls
-She's never made a wall before.
-and we made walls.
We cut walls.
-I feel like we'll be making
-And then we're gonna also
-knock out this -a wall in
this house.
[Lizzy]
I think we can, like, itch his
scratch.
[Lizzy] Hm.
I think it's the other way
around.
I think it's scratch his itch,
but sure.
Itch his scratch.
What? Scratch his itch.
Oh, yeah, you're right. [laughs]
But it kind of sounds nasty.
You sound nasty.
[laughter]
Oh!
-What do you think? -[Lizzy]
Wow, this is cool.
This is really cool.
We are here today to check out
and see
We have done some pushing out.
We've gone into the closet
slightly, you know,
just a little give and take
there.
At least I am, he's been here.
It's a lot bigger. I mean,
adding this
[Lizzy]
Wow. This is much different how
Eric left it.
[TJ]
-[Lizzy]-[TJ]
I mean, a tub will be
everything.
To relax at the end of the day,
after you've been caring for
your child,
for your husband, for your
people,
it's just-- it's gonna be a game
changer for her.
I'm so excited. A happy wife, a
happy life. Right?
I've heard that many times.
And so far, that's been very
true.
[Lizzy] We want to add at least
one skylight in here.
We're just not sure if it's
going to work yet.
Yeah, it should. I still think
it should work.
I think a skylight would be
awesome.
Also, it would add in some
natural light on this side.
Skylights are a great way of
adding
natural light to any space.
and make it feel a little bit
more bright and airy.
You and Jess have this thing
about, like, separate sinks.
What is the deal? I always say
as a husband, I'm like,
"Yeah, it's fine. We can share."
I don't see that big a deal with
it.
Oh, my God. Oh, my
[TJ] How much stuff does a guy
have?
Oh, my God, it has nothing to do
with that.
It has something to do with in
here,
while we're both getting ready
at the same time
-Get out of my way. Move. Move."
-You're tough--
"Get out of my way. I need this
area to do me.
I need to be like, blah, blah. I
don't want to see you.
I don't want to hear you.
I don't want you breathing on
me.
I just want to wash my face and
do my thing."
-Go back in the other room. -Too
close.
-Right. -Too close!
All right, so
[Lizzy]
Yeah, we had all of his like,
tools and stuff,
and it's like, not safe for his
daughter.
Yeah, it was like tool city.
Listen, the great part about
this is
we really want to make this
space as nice as possible.
Especially because it's right
off the bedroom.
Right. Indoor, outdoor, you want
them
to be able to use this space
to safely make memories for
their daughter
-because before she was a baby.
-Yes.
Right. And so they had no idea--
when she starts walking,
which she just started
walking
-[Lizzy] Yes! -She's on the go.
She's gonna want to be outside
and play.
It's gonna be a space that they
bring the rest of their family,
so it's gonna be multi-use.
Look at all these dirt patches,
though.
[Jessica]
-[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
-[Lizzy] Yeah, I agree. -It's so
expensive to
-This feels tiny. -[Lizzy] Is
there a table?
-Yeah. Think about it. -I agree.
This is wild.
-You have the three of them
-Right.
Each of their parents. So that's
four.
[Lizzy] His family, her family.
Right.
-And them alone is seven.
-Right. Whew!
[Jessica] Let's look at this
space from here.
Special project.
I know what you're thinking.
That table.
[Jessica]
-He loves the DIY. -I know!
This guy. My gosh.
And, you know, it would be cool
if he can make a forever piece.
I feel like he would actually be
into it.
-Like a piece of furniture.
-Yeah, I agree.
-Should we ask him? -Yes.
Oh, Eric. Oh, Eric.
He is not trying to answer my
call.
-He's not trying to answer. -At
all.
[both] Oh, hi!
-Oh. -You're not Eric. Not Eric.
[Lizzy] Who was that?
-Hey! -Oh, hi!
-You're not Eric. -Not Eric. Not
Eric.
Who was that?
Was that a random person who
just literally?
[both laugh]
-[Jessica] Hey! -[Lizzy] Oh,
it's you.
We might or might not have
called the wrong number.
[Jessica] Did we just call you a
second ago?
[Lizzy] Did someone else just
pick up your phone call?
-Huh? -No. We definitely called
-some-- Stranger. -We called a
stranger.
[Eric]
I just wanna know who answers
-a FaceTime from a stranger.
-From a stranger.
-Eric, what's up? You picked up.
-[Jessica] Hi.
We're calling because we had a
little bit of an idea.
We have a little bit of a
special project.
[Lizzy] Jess and I were
thinking
[Jessica] That you should come
over to this house,
and we will surprise you. And
that would be cool.
But you can't go inside the
house.
You have to come outside the
house.
You have to come through the
outside
and never walk inside the house.
-[Jessica] Awesome.
[Eric]
[Jessica] Bye. Have a good
night.
We definitely called a stranger.
You should call him back.
-Oh, my God. -He was kind of
cute.
[laughs]
All right, so my favorite thing
in the whole world
-is homemade furniture. -Whole
world?
-In the whole world. -Wow.
That's phenomenal.
'Cause there's something-- it's
like cooking,
except it lasts longer.
[Tinku] That is true.
[Lizzy] Are we ready to do this?
[Tinku] Let's take this one off.
[Lizzy] But wait, before we get
started though,
we invited a little guest to
help us out.
Nice.
-[Jessica] Oh, there he is.
-[Lizzy] Hi!
-Hey, guys. What's going on?
-How are you doing?
Good. How are you?
Good. How are you holding up
outside of your house?
-Hi, how are ya? -I'm doing all
right.
-Yeah? -How's it going?
How you doing, Eric? You want
some gloves?
Yeah, what are you guys working
on?
Okay, so we have an idea. Go
ahead, Lizzy.
Well Well, we have an idea.
So, our idea is to make you a
table.
[Jessica] Like one of those
like, forever pieces.
-We know you love a DIY project.
-Right, yeah.
You can't get enough of one.
[laughs]
So, we really wanted you to put
your touch on this
as a piece that you can really
feel proud of in your home.
-Cool. Yeah. -All right. Let's
do this!
-There we go. -Awesome!
That feels official.
Now that looks good.
Are you nervous about our
abilities
to freak your space?
-I trust you guys. Yeah. -Yeah!
Did-- Did she just say ■freak
your space?■
Yes, she did.
[Jessica]
by our design choices?
Oh, I think so. He's gonna be
shocked.
-[Jessica] Really? -I think he's
gonna be shocked,
but in a good way. I think he's
gonna feel so happy
-Yeah. -that literally,
-he started the process
-[Jessica] Mm-hmm.
but that we were able to come
in
-and like, wrap it all together.
-Yeah.
It's like you almost made a pot
of chili today.
-What? -You cook.
You just said cooking is like
making furniture.
Literally, you know how you say
I do this.
We were here, and then we just
made a hard left.
You guys have the worst
analogies, for sure.
This is the Gutierrez's
backyard. It's massive.
It's a big space.
[Jessica]
They were talking about the
concern of the water bill,
-Southern California, drought.
-[Lizzy] Mm, that's right.
-[Jeff]
-[Jessica]
Enter Jeff. [laughs]
Yeah. There you go. Here. Happy
to help.
[Jeff] Looking at it, we're
talking about
1500 or so square feet. Get it
graded.
-1500 square feet? -Yeah.
-That's like-- -That's a mini
house.
-Yes! That's like a house.
-[Lizzy] That is
That was literally the size of
my parent's last house.
Yeah. This is-- it's a lot of
space.
-This is crazy. It's huge.
-[Jeff] Well, honestly,
if you're watering this during
the summer,
it's probably 725 gallons a
week.
Wow!
[Jeff] That's watering it four
times a week.
And to keep it green, you got to
sometimes water every day.
[Lizzy]
-[Jessica]
[Jeff] We can make it nice. Make
it usable,
place that they want to be
walking on.
-[Lizzy]
[Jeff]
My dream for the space is to
have a little play house
and a swing set.
Normally I wouldn't put both in
a yard in the same space,
-but there's so much yard.
-[Jeff] I agree.
And it's gonna make the yard
look so huge.
So beautiful. Yeah.
-And beautiful. Huge. -[laughs]
It's like, "Oh, my gosh, you
have the biggest yard ever
Jessica just wants to have a tea
party
with their little girl.
Who doesn't want to have a tea
party?
As long as I get the invitation
for the tea party,
-my vote is yes. -[Lizzy]
Exactly.
-All right. Let's do this. -It's
gonna be great.
-Yeah. -[Lizzy] Awesome, guys.
There you go.
-He's so much nicer than I am.
-Yeah.
Jess has rounded up all the
crew.
Ready?
And is getting the new closet
ready for drywall.
Okay.
-Oh. -[laughter]
[Sammy] Yeah.
[Lizzy] But excitement doesn't
equal experience
with that big old saw.
I'm nervous.
[saw whirrs]
Up and down.
-[Sammy] There you go up. -Ride
the horsey.
-Got to go forward. -[Lizzy]
Ride the horsey.
There you go. There she goes.
-I have the technique. -There
she goes.
My hand is cramping. My hand is
cramping.
Here you go. Here's some rose
tea for your hand.
Oh, great.
All right, Sammy.
-Let's put the beam. -Oh, the
tea-- the tea is down.
-I got my big piece of wood.
-[Lizzy] Nice.
Sammy, I feel very strong right
now.
[Lizzy] Please don't just go
backwards.
There you go. Little, there.
Nice. Good fit.
[Jessica] Oh, wow, look at us.
-[Sammy speaking] -I'm
exhausted.
Oh.
That's just to start you off,
buddy.
Am I gonna do the rest?
Let's go. You got this.
-I'm feeling good about myself.
-[drill whirrs]
Wait, I don't-- I don't want
your hand that close.
No, it's okay. Go slow.
-[Lizzy] He trusts you. -I don't
trust me.
[Sammy] Okay.
[Lizzy]
-[Lizzy]
-[Tinku]
You got this.
Wait, I don't want your hand
that close.
No, it's okay. Go slow.
-I don't trust me. -[Sammy]
Okay.
[Lizzy] Oh, my God. Oh, my God!
I start it. I started it. Let me
start it.
[Lizzy] Oh, my Oh, my
I did it gentle. I did it
gentle.
[Lizzy] Sammy.
You're such a professional.
I love it. You make us look so
profesh.
-Looks good. -What else are we
doing?
-We're doing the-- the drywall.
-Drywall.
Okay, ready, set. [groans]
-Feeling good about this. -I am,
too.
[drill whirrs]
-It didn't even go all the way.
-They need to go all the way.
Let me try one. What is going on
here?
-[Lizzy laughs] -You--
you had it in reverse.
You're freaking lying.
Why did you have it in reverse?
How did it even go in?
Are you-- she's rolling through
this?
[Tinku] She's rolling through
it.
-[bleep] -[laughs]
[laughs] It's okay. I still love
you, boo.
Oh, my God.
You know the problem is,
-that when we're doing work
-Tell me the problem.
she likes to talk mess to me,
and then I have to talk mess
back to her,
-and so she slows me down.
-[laughs]
I still love you, boo.
Almost like it's definitely not
a straight line.
You have to push it, Jessica.
[drill whirrs]
[laughter]
-It's the glasses. -[Jessica]
Oh, sure.
It's the glasses.
Whatever.
Has anyone ever spackled like
this?
I feel like you're racing.
I'm precisely fast.
[Tinku] You're very aggressive
with your, uh--
-with your movement on this--
-[Lizzy] She's aggressive
-with everything. -Yeah.
Have you seen her put sunscreen
on her children before?
-[laughs] -[Tinku] No.
It's abusive.
I have to do it before they run
away.
So, I just mush it on their face
quickly.
[Lizzy] All right, great.
Thanks, Sammy.
-She knows everywhere. -[Lizzy]
Here we go.
Here we go. Here we go.
[Jessica] I think I'm hired.
-Yeah. Hired or fired. -Yes,
you're hired.
One of the two.
Like, this is a really big tub.
I mean, this is definitely a
couple's tub.
-[Jessica] Lizzy? -[Lizzy] Yes.
-[Jessica] Look what I found.
-What is this?
So I was thinking we can tape
out visually
-and see the nook. -[chuckles]
What?
[Jessica]
Did you just find this in the
house?
I found it in some scraps.
You're You're a crafty little
one.
You know just very
resourceful.
-You're a crafty little one.
-I'm resourceful.
My grandmother taught me how to
be resourceful.
[Lizzy] I really like how you
design.
This is fascinating.
Well, then there's no mistake.
Yeah, definitely. You cannot
make a mistake
when you use Styrofoam and blue
tape.
-You're absolutely right. -So
just to visualize and see.
No mistakes. None.
Every time I think either one of
us go on vacation,
we stay at a hotel with a dope
bathroom.
Yeah.
They have the shower niche on
lock.
[Lizzy] This is so profesh.
No, it's more of a visual for
us.
If Eric and Dianna walked in
this house right now
and saw how we designed their
bathroom nook,
I think they'd be afraid.
Okay, now let's see about this
one.
And we can see if we don't like
it
and then do squares.
Like, different shapes,
they're always oversized, like--
It's always either tiled, like,
with a really beautiful tiling.
I'm obsessed with arches.
They're beautiful,
[Lizzy] The things you do for
friendship.
The things you do for design.
Just because I don't give you a
forewarning
on all of my ideas
And so it's like why can't we
bring this luxurious,
like, hotel vibe into the main
bedroom suite? Yes.
Why don't you lay down in the
bathtub
and see where you would reach
up?
I think the whole thing is
lowered
because this is super deep.
-Look how deep you are. -Can you
make it lower?
-Can you reach? -You know what I
like to do?
I like to lay in the tub like
this
-as it's filling up. -[Lizzy]
Uh-huh.
And then I like to lay in the
tub as it's draining.
Wow, that is really weird.
[Lizzy]
when she has her bathtub,
'cause one of the things she
said was,
she would love a bathtub. It's
pretty.
-Yeah. So why not? -It makes you
feel good.
We do love bathroom niches.
That's funny.
Good job. Oh, thanks.
Okay, thanks. Thanks. Right on.
We have to make this bedroom and
bathroom a sanctuary.
We have a couple of goals today.
We need to pick out a vanity,
and we need to get that mattress
off the floor.
We have their preferences.
Yeah. So what is their color?
What do they like, and what do
they don't like?
So Eric loves lighter, neutral
colors.
-[Lizzy] Mm-hmm. -Um
Dianna's very similar. She likes
earthy tones,
light browns, light blues.
I mean, to be honest with you,
even just looking at
the vanity that they picked out,
it is very neutral.
-Very traditional. -Very
traditional.
-Yeah, that is great. -[Lizzy]
It is great.
Because they have an aesthetic.
It's clear.
I think it would be harder for
us if we had like,
mid-century, traditional. We
have a lane.
-We have a lane. -We're gonna
stay in our lane.
[Lizzy] It makes it easier for
us.
So, we need to definitely do
something about the bedroom.
-Let's go on to Home Depot.
-[Lizzy] Okay.
And look for a second.
[Lizzy] You know what I love is
that Home Depot
has great decor options
available online.
Yeah, and so many
super-affordable options.
He likes a California king
because he's long.
That's perfect. He likes it
longer.
-And narrow. -And narrow, yeah.
■Cause the room is not that
wide.
Exactly. So I don't feel like we
have enough width
if we're gonna put two
nightstands
on either side of the bed.
[Jessica] Yeah. I love this.
Actually, it fits their color
scheme perfectly.
It's giving me a little a
little height.
And it's a nice, like, updated
version
of a traditional bed frame.
So easy and convenient to shop
for home decor
at homedepot.com.
I think if they want to stay
married,
post children, they need a
double vanity.
[Lizzy] This is-- These are
facts.
[laughter]
[Lizzy] This is beautiful,
though.
-[Jessica] Yeah, it's classic.
-Way to tie it all together.
Go ahead, Home Depot!
-[Jessica] Right? -I see you.
And we can pick this up
in-store.
So that way, we can also go look
at some of the things
they have in store that we can
also do
with tile in the bathroom.
-Tile and paint. -[Lizzy] Yeah.
Okay, great.
-All right, cool. -Yay!
-Go, Team. -Good job.
[Jessica]
[Tinku] All right.
Little Home Depot. Okay, wait a
minute, Tinku.
Yes. Tile.
Let us know what aisle is tile
in.
-[Tinku] Aisle eight. -[both]
Aisle eight?
-Yep. Let's do this. -All right,
let's do it.
[Jessica]
and pick up the vanity
-we ordered. -[Tinku] All right.
[Jessica] So many amazing
options.
[Lizzy] Gutierrez family, here
we go.
We know we want to go in, like,
the white gray world.
Yeah.
That's too shiny, right? What
about this?
[Lizzy] Cute.
[Lizzy sighs]
-What are you thinking? -This is
sweet.
-Did you pull this already?
-Nope. Oh, these have stripes.
That could be interesting or
might be too busy.
Ooh, this is pretty.
Are you thinking this type of
design
for the wall or for the floor?
[Lizzy] I like this on the
floor.
[Jessica] Me, too.
[Lizzy] You know, I think that's
really cute.
Yeah, maybe not super dark
grout, but like
a little gray, and it will tie
these two together.
-You can't go wrong. -[Lizzy]
They're classic.
Is this how you want it on the
wall?
Yeah, vertical.
[Lizzy] I just think I really
liked how
it makes it a little bit more
interesting.
We're used to subway tiles going
horizontally.
I think it's kind of cool to
make a vertical moment.
I do think there are a lot of
choices,
-but I think that-- -[Jessica]
As good as we are,
-we can't screw this up. -You
can't screw this up.
[Jessica] Basically, they tell
you what goes with what here.
I mean, they literally even tell
you what matches.
[Lizzy] I feel like the color
palettes is there.
And if you have the same color
palette,
-you can't go wrong. -[Jessica]
You really can't.
-That's the beauty in it.
-[Tinku] Yeah.
[Lizzy] Okay.
[Jessica grunts] Tinku.
-[Tinku] Did you need help?
-Tinku.
[Lizzy] I'm gonna let you do
that thing.
[strains] It's so heavy. It's so
heavy.
-Oh, my God. I have my one.
-It's actually pretty heavy.
[Lizzy] There you go.
[Jessica] It's so heavy.
[strains]
Yeah, just a little
[Lizzy] You guys got that?
[Jessica] Oh, wait, I think we
need to put this back.
[Tinku] Yeah, probably should
put it back.
Don't worry, nothing to see
here.
[Lizzy] Oh, my God. [laughs]
[Lizzy] Paint!
This is for their main bedroom.
-Oh, we picked out the same one.
-The same?
[Jessica] Easy-peasy.
Whenever we choose the same
color, it wins.
That's when we know.
I just feel like this is
Lizzy's
[Lizzy] Soul?
[Jessica] this is her soul.
-This is my soul. -No, you
Sorry. But this is my soul just
so we're clear.
-Yes, it's fine. -This is my
soul.
-My entire soul. -[Tinku] What's
the name on it?
It is extreme yellow.
-My entire soul. -[Tinku]
Extreme yellow.
-There we go. Here we go.
-[mouthing]
[both chuckle]
[Lizzy] Let's go get our vanity.
-Hi. -How you guys doing?
[Lizzy] Good.
So we just have a pickup. So,
that's our order number.
Yeah. 3-43-4-1-2-7.
It's ready for pickup. I'll go
and grab it for you.
Okay.
-Look how easy that was. -Good.
-Pull. -Oh, I'm gonna help you.
Oh, my gosh.
-It looks amazing. -[Jeff] Thank
you.
This looks so different.
They have the most amazing
backyard space.
So beautiful. It's just been
unusable space though.
-That's what's so wild.
-[Jessica] Yeah.
We're gonna hook it up.
You guys missed it by a day.
We were gonna actually get you
on the--
on the piece of equipment that
was ripping up all the grass.
We heard.
-Yeah. One day missed. -That
would have been fun.
But what we did do is save a
little work for you
if you're up for it. We've got
some, uh
we've got some nails to put
down.
Why is everyone always trying to
put us to work?
You don't think we work hard
enough.
-Lizzy loves nailing things.
-[Jeff] Okay.
I love nailing things, hitting
things.
-All right. -It's the best.
He-- I don't know where-- what
planet
he thought that we could help
with that.
That was probably not the best
idea.
Can you promise not to nail your
finger?
I'm going to have a coffee in
one hand,
and I have a free hand for said
activity.
Well, if you guys are ready,
let's grab it.
So if you come this way, I've
set up a cut line
-for both of you. -[both] Okay.
Just grab that hammer. A little
bit of technique to it.
I suggest you might need-- you
might need another hand.
[groaning] Sorry, I did the
stairs the other day.
-Okay. -You're so dramatic.
-Are these steel? -[Jeff] You
ready, Lizzy?
Yes, I am. [chuckles]
[Jeff] Take that grass and pull
it back a little bit.
-[Lizzy] Okay. -[Jeff] That's it
and then
you don't want to drive it all
the way down
but keep going. Keep going.
-That's it. -That's all the way
down.
Now what's gonna happen is,
it'll be covered up.
How do you make sure that it
that it hides?
[Jeff] Push those blades back
-This is an art form. -and
hold many of them down.
That's right.
Personally, it's a race, and I'm
winning.
Jess, you're falling behind.
I'm awesome.
[chuckles]
-But slow, I gotta say. -Oh,
wow. [laughs]
It's called precision, my
friend.
Okay.
If we were your employees,
would we get our end of year
bonus?
Uh, for sure.
-Stop lying to her. -Like would
you try to keep me?
-Probably. Good employees
-Fire her on the spot.
are hard to find, I gotta
say.
Spread it, dink, dink, dink.
-Spread it. Dink, dink, dink.
-[laughs]
I did all of it. I did
everything he asked.
Luis, what do you think? How's
she doing?
Luis, I don't have your eyes, my
friend.
[Lizzy] Would you like to check
mine?
Um, actually, mine looked
perfect.
Do you even know where they are?
No, I can't see them. Just--
Oh, my God. That's great.
That means I've done a good job.
-Yeah, it's awesome. -Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you for being honest.
-Thank you, Luis. Appreciate it.
-I love that.
-There you go.
The family's gonna be so
excited. I'm so happy.
Nails are all in.
Uh, just watch those nails.
Yeah, it works. Totally works
for the barrel rolls.
[Lizzy] We're at our favorite
time.
-So close to the end of reveal.
-So close to reveal day.
[Jessica] Let's go shopping for
the Gutierrez family.
-[Lizzy] Let's do it. -Let's get
this one.
[Lizzy] Let's grab a few clothes
for Emma.
A sleep sack. Oh, she got her
bath.
So, we have to do, like, a spa
time moment.
Yes. That's right. Okay, let's
do spa time for moment for mom.
So we'll do bubble bath.
Bath salts.
For sure. Some body cream.
-Definitely a candle. -Yes.
Body oil.
[Lizzy] What about body cream?
-Rich body cream. -[Lizzy] Love
that.
And bath bomb.
[Lizzy] One thousand percent.
Cool. So exciting.
That's gonna be sweet. She's
gonna love this.
It's gonna be great.
-TV magic. -Favorite part.
[Jessica] I love all of this
bedding. It's so clean.
[Lizzy] It's really pretty.
I feel like with this kind,
we should tuck it in so you can
see the bed frame.
[Lizzy] Feels like a little
hotel.
It does. It's a really simple
aesthetic.
Seams go in.
-Oh. -[Lizzy] Openings go
inside.
-I love this. -[Lizzy] It looks
so comfy.
I know. Can you believe they
were sleeping on the ground,
and now they have, like, an
actual bed frame.
And their side table was--
-[Lizzy] Was the sink vanity.
-The vanity.
They're going to be floored. No
pun intended.
Bat-tap-bop-ping.
Here's the pillows.
-A little lumbar. -Mm-hmm.
[Jessica] I love that there's so
many options
for outdoor furniture that makes
it look like
it could be in a house as well.
I know, it really does. It
really just brings that
California vibe, the
outdoor-indoor living.
I really think they're gonna get
a lot of use out of this space.
-I want to hang out here.
-[chuckles]
Can we roll in the grass? I'm
not doing that.
-Why? -Because I don't roll in
grass.
You're not fun.
[Lizzy]
-Hi! -Hello!
[Jessica] Dianna and Eric,
welcome home!
My goodness, this is so
exciting.
How are you?
Good to see you. Yeah, we're
back.
-Hi! -Hi!
I am so excited for you.
Oh, my gosh. Are you guys
nervous?
-I'm nervous. -Crazy nervous.
-Like butterflies in my stomach.
-[Jessica] Oh, my God!
-We're so nervous, too. -Palm
sweaty?
-Palms are sweaty. -[Lizzy] But
in a good way.
-In a good way. -Let's go.
I'm feeling nervous, but it's a
good nervous.
I'm so scared. [laughs] You're
ready?
-Ready, ready. -Okay.
[Lizzy] So you're gonna walk in.
On the count of three. One,
two
[Dianna] Oh, my God.
[Lizzy] You love each other?
Three.
[Jessica] Let's do this!
Oh, my God!
[Lizzy]
[Dianna]
[Lizzy] On the count of three.
One, two
[Dianna] Oh, my God.
[Lizzy] You love each other?
Three.
[Jessica] Let's do this!
Oh, my God!
[Lizzy] Welcome home!
Whoa. Oh, my God. I'm gonna cry.
Oh, I love this so much. Oh, my
God!
The bed's huge.
[Jessica] We also took your bed
off the floor.
-[laughter] -It looks a little
higher.
[Jessica] We gave you a dresser.
We got rid of the nightstand
that was a vanity.
We gave you a walk-in closet.
Guys. Wow. Oh, my God.
Look at this closet!
I don't recognize this room!
It's a walk-in, very spacious.
I am beyond words. [chuckles]
Oh, I don't think I've ever
loved a closet so much.
[Lizzy] You guys, there's still
one more. Come this way.
You have to--
[Dianna] Oh, this way. Oh, the
bathroom.
Oh, my God.
You did a whole new layout.
-So different. -What?
Look at this tub!
Oh, my goodness.
It's like it doubled in size.
How did you do this? [chuckles]
Oh, my God.
-[Jessica]
-The skylight. Yes. -That's what
it is? Okay.
[Eric]
[Lizzy]
[Jessica]
[Lizzy]
And we made the floor so that
when you're wet, it--
you shouldn't slip because it's
so small.
It makes it a little more
grippy.
Oh, my gosh.
[Eric] This looks a thousand
times better.
I could never imagine a tub in
that bathroom.
I always thought a shower is
what fits.
This is what we can do, so just
to see
[Eric]
-It's crazy. -This is just
amazing.
[cries, sniffles]
Thank you so much.
These pictures just Thank
you.
I gotta say the photos around
the room, I just
Oh, my God. Dianna, stop! You're
making us cry.
Sorry. It's just, I love-- just
like these are all
I can-- [chuckles] Oh, my God.
I am speechless.
This is absolutely like, beyond
my wildest dreams.
[sniffles] Thank you. Oh, my
God.
Like, I'm like, crying.
[Jessica] We have one more
surprise for y'all.
Oh, my God.
This is for you.
[Jessica] Welcome to your
backyard oasis.
Oh, my-- What?
[Eric] It's insane.
[Dianna laughs]
[Eric]
-[Dianna]-[Jessica]
-[Eric] It's beautiful.
-[Dianna] It's so functional.
Yeah, the table we were working
on.
[Dianna] Oh. We what?
Oh, right. Surprise. Yeah.
Just like yeah, "The table we
made--" What?
So, Dianna, Eric came over and
helped us make this table.
-[Dianna]
-[Eric]
It is now a family heirloom.
[Dianna] This looks so great!
How many meals will you guys
have around this table?
-[Dianna] Countless. -So many.
Every single one.
It was just really neat to hear
that
he was incorporated in that
because I know how much
and I think it just speaks to
who you are
and how you like to make things.
So
I love that we have that added
to our patio.
[gasps] Wow.
Ooh, we got a bar out here.
What?
Full bar fridge, TV. It's
insane.
Just a big transformation. It
used to be a mess.
So, it's-- it's amazing.
-We're excited to use that.
-Yes.
It's so
Full bar, fridge, TV.
[laughs] I was just waiting for
you.
-Waiting, Dianna. Waiting.
-[Dianna] Oh, my God.
I'm gonna cry again. Oh, my God!
It's amazing. Emma's gonna love
that.
[Eric]
Oh, God, we're not gonna be able
to get her inside.
[Lizzy] Now, you don't have to
go to a park anymore!
Park comes to you.
[Dianna]
And the best part is, like, with
the turf, it's soft.
[Jessica]
[Eric]
[laughter]
-[Lizzy] Exactly. -[Jessica] You
actually can.
Yeah, that's beautiful.
Thank you so much to the both of
you.
Oh, you're welcome.
[Dianna] My heart is just so
full right now.
[laughter]
[cheering]
Thank you. This is all yours.
Do you love this?
Oh, she's so cute.
It's all yours.
Yeah, it's all yours.
[Lizzy] Oh, my goodness.
[Jessica] Oh, we have some
parting gifts.
We sure do.
Oh, my goodness. Wait, there's
more?
-[Lizzy] Wait, there's more.
-[Eric] Stop it.
You've already done enough.
[laughs]
It has been so special to have
Jessica and Lizzy be a part of
this.
So, we are so grateful. They're
like
our fairy godmothers. [laughs]
This is really for baby Emma.
Oh, my goodness, Emma. Look at
that. That's for you.
For her and this is for you guys
and your home.
-Just a housewarming. -[Dianna]
Thank you.
Just a little clean start--
starter kit.
Love it.
-Thank you. Appreciate it.
-[Dianna] Thank you so much.
-Really appreciate it. -Enjoy
everything.
-[Lizzy] And thank you.
-[Jessica] Yeah.
Thank you for allowing us to
come in.
And we're just so happy for you.
-Just invite us over. -Yes.
-Yeah. -I wanna eat. I wanna do
coffee.
-I want to do all the things.
-Come on over.
-Say thank you. Bye.
-[Jessica].
-Bye, guys. -[Dianna] Thank you.
[giggles]
It's amazing to be Emma's mom
and watching her grow.
and be able to create these
memories
and have a space that's going to
allow that to happen.
More slide. More slide.
Okay, here we go, Emma.
You ready? One, two, three!
-[giggles] -[chuckles]
