The Fugitive (2020) s01e05 Episode Script
When Mike Met Clay
1
- So if you just want
to blow both of us up,
you should know
I'm perfectly cool with that.
Everything I had to live for
was taken from me September 11, 2001.
Either way, you should understand
that this ends right here right now!
You're probably curious
why anyone in their right mind
would leave New York for Los Angeles.
Hell, I was trying
to get away from my past, clear my mind.
Thanks for fucking that up for me.
Sloane, Stamell,
he's out of the car. He might have
doubled back towards you on foot.
Stay alert.
Come on, you son of a bitch.
- Shit! Boss!
- Boss!
Boss!
- I'm not going back to prison again
for something I didn't do.
Another step, and I'll shoot you.
- I already told you.
I don't care if I die today.
Aah!
- Boss!
Boss!
- Shit.
- Boss!
- Shit. Boss! Boss!
Are you okay? Boss! - [ grunts ]
- Don't move. Don't move.
- Okay. Okay,
we're calling an ambulance.
- No, you're not. You're calling HQ,
and you're gonna tell them
to put out this alert word for word,
so get out your steno pad.
It is now confirmed
Mike Ferro is armed
and will not surrender peacefully.
And if encountered,
he is to be shot on site.
- [ muttering ]
MAN: What's going on?
[ indistinct chatter ]
- Shit.
Shit!
- Thank you. I'm really excited.
- Oh, you should be. You'll be great.
Give us a minute.
MAN: Got it right.
- Okay.
CREW MEMBER: Up here?
CREW MEMBER #2: Yeah.
- Okay. So here are the rules.
You look at me, not a camera.
No smiles except for hello
and sign off.
And keep your answers tight.
It's my show, not yours.
We're on in 10.
Don't screw it up.
- I'm here with Pritti Pittell,
the reporter who first publicly revealed
the identity of the L.A. subway bomber,
who as of now is believed to be
responsible for at least 22 deaths,
a number expected to rise.
Ms. Pittell, who works at the online
news site The Daily Score,
thank you for speaking with me today.
What were your first thoughts
when you saw the footage?
- I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
A clear shot.
And I recognized him right away.
I mean, Mike Ferro had been on the news
nonstop during his trial.
I knew his face immediately.
- Let's look at that footage now.
- They got the wrong guy.
- Michelangelo Jonathan Ferro,
AKA Mike Ferro,
is our one and only suspect
in this morning's bombing,
although we do believe
his wife Allison Ferro,
who is now in custody,
may have been involved
or at least aware of his intentions.
Mike Ferro is currently at large
and armed
somewhere in the Los Angeles
subway system.
Victims are being identified
and families notified
as quickly as possible.
- How exactly is he armed?
More explosives?
- Mike Ferro and I engaged
in a confrontation in one of the tunnels.
During that confrontation,
he obtained one of my weapons.
- Is that how you injured your head?
- Yes.
- Mr. Ferro struck you?
- Yes. Next question.
- Given your wife's death on 9/11,
do you feel you might be too emotionally
connected to the terrorist attacks
to effectively lead this investigation?
- I think I'm the perfect amount
of emotionally connected.
- Which is?
- 100 goddamn percent.
Update is over.
- Do you think he'll strike again?
- Mr. Bryce? Officer Bryce?
[ reporters clamor ]
- That was a waste of time.
- Just heard from command.
One, ERT wants to head
over to Ferro's house.
They found something.
Two, per your request, LAPD officers
are stationed at every subway exit.
Beverly Hills PD are assisting
Transit Police
in a search of the tunnels as we speak.
- Good. We'll flush him out
like a groundhog.
We'll either get him down there,
or he can come out from the blast site
and finish that fight we started
in front of the goddamn paparazzi.
- Show up in the most crowded
place in the city?
No. He's trapped down there.
- So if you just want
