Training Day (2017) s01e05 Episode Script

Wages of Sin

1 [City noises.]
Frank: Old Sergeant of mine once told me there are two things you can't take back on the job Bullets that leave your gun and words that leave your mouth.
I've spent more than my share of both and I'm here to tell you, it's the words you live to regret.
What's up, Deke? I've run my mouth, burned bridges, blew up a couple of marriages that might have still had some tread on them.
But I never shot a man who didn't have it coming.
[Gunshot.]
["Are You Satisfied?" plays.]
Are you satisfied? Well We been here before [Breathing heavily.]
[Indistinct conversations.]
I don't recognize You no more I have an appointment.
Leave it alone Pike: Is that Kullen? [Sighs.]
Mr.
Pike.
Yeah.
Oh.
[Sighs.]
[Sighing.]
Oh.
May I get you something? Calamity here makes an excellent cup of coffee.
Ah, suit yourself.
You know, I don't allow just anyone into my home.
I vetted you.
You survived 10 years in this wonderland without anyone covering your back.
I respect that.
Bearing in mind that you might be the most unsociable cat in this joint, am I wrong to assume that this is not a social call? [Door lock buzzes in distance.]
What do you want from me? - I need to get out of here.
- [Chuckles.]
Well, even if I could make that happen, why would I? What's in it for me? There has to be something you need done.
Someone.
Ugh.
You know, I just might have something for you.
[Door lock buzzes.]
[Indistinct conversations in distance.]
[Door closes.]
[Chains rattle.]
He's dangerous, ma'am.
I'll be all right.
Won't I, Mr.
Kullen? [Door lock buzzes.]
- You Lockhart? - Deputy Chief Lockhart.
I just rode a department fixed-wing from Van Nuys Airport all the way up to Crescent City just to hear what you have to say.
Jet Blue it ain't.
So if your information is bull, I am not in the mood for forgiveness.
I want to confess to a murder.
I'm the one who killed Julia Kiefer.
You're in here for manslaughter.
Why are you looking to add the words "life" into your sentence? I've learned a lot in my time here and got right with the man upstairs, and it's time to set the record straight.
And how exactly does this involve Detective Frank Rourke? My confession That means he killed the wrong man.
[Bell dings.]
You believe him? He had the pertinent details right.
But nothing he couldn't have gotten out of the murder book.
Some parolee is probably boinking a records clerk, slipped him a copy.
[Beep.]
Lockhart: The police apprehended a suspect in the murder you're confessing to 11 years ago.
If by "apprehended," you mean "executed" [Gunshot.]
[Thud.]
your cop capped the wrong guy.
[Beep.]
[Scoffs.]
Pretty thin.
Department policy doesn't leave any wiggle room here.
We have to follow up.
The wrong man may have been killed by one of our officers.
You mean Frank? No one is above the law.
You're asking me to open an official inquiry into a shooting that could ruin a man's career.
So I need to hear it from you directly, that this isn't part of some personal agenda.
I don't have to justify myself to you.
Chavez, RHD is required to investigate officer-involved shootings, no matter who makes the allegation.
We don't get to choose our witnesses.
Set up a Board of Rights review for Frank Rourke.
I will arrange for Kullen's immediate transfer down to County.
Just so you know, it was a lousy shooting back then, too.
We just didn't have the proof we do now.
If by "apprehended," you mean "executed," your cop capped the wrong guy.
Tommy: Who is he? [Scoffs.]
No idea.
He's lying his ass off.
Why would he do that? Who knows? [Sighs.]
Who cares? You should.
I mean it, Frank.
You need to take this seriously.
I was there, Becca.
I know what happened.
Lockhart doesn't care what happened, Frank.
All she cares about is that she has a witness who's willing to testify Testify that you shot an innocent man.
The woman was stabbed to death.
I found her lying on her kitchen floor, her two kids in the next room.
If ever a man deserved to die, it was Ryan Deacon.
Lockhart wants your badge.
She has ever since I've known you.
- Let her try.
- She is trying, Frank.
And you're making it easy.
Frank: It's gonna be okay.
[Sighs.]
At least wear a suit and tie.
Maybe let Holly pick the tie.
[Sighs.]
[Dog barking in distance.]
[Beep.]
[Coffeemaker whirring.]
Hey, where's your dad's key? Remember, I told you they filed off the serial number? Mm-hmm.
Well, turns out, you can have the serial number raised.
And then what? Contact the manufacturer and find out what it opens.
What do you think you're gonna find? I don't know.
Whatever it is, my father went to a lot of trouble to make sure I found it.
I'm the only one who knew about that tree or the garden.
Well, you do know there is another way to honor your dad's legacy.
We could name somebody after him.
[Chuckles.]
You really think now is the right time? Look, I'm ready to pull the goalie if you are.
[Sighs.]
Detective Rourke, I see you have no attorney present.
Don't need one.
You are aware, a verdict against you will result in your immediate termination and surrender of your department-issued firearm and badge? I'm not planning on losing.
Let the record reflect, Detective Rourke has declined counsel.
Please give the detective a copy of the report in question.
Don't need that, either.
Okay, then, regarding your encounter with Ryan Deacon, which resulted in an officer-involved shooting I was tracking a violent home-invasion crew.
Connection with several homicides, including the stabbing death of Julie Kiefer.
Deacon was part of this crew? Deke was the shot-caller, positively I.
D.
'd by Julia Kiefer's surviving family members as the suspect who stabbed her to death.
I tracked him to a bar in K-Town.
When he came outside What's up, Deke? identified myself as a police officer and told him he was under arrest.
So, we doing this, or what? He resisted.
[Gunshot.]
End of story.
Commander, could we talk off the record? - I'm good, Detective Chavez.
- Frank, listen to me.
I've had my share of questionable shootings.
This wasn't one of them.
Lopes: Detective Rourke, you are aware, someone else has come forward to confess to Julia Kiefer's murder - An inmate at Pelican Bay? - I've seen the video.
Deputy Chief Lockhart took that video deposition.
Who else? Which means Inmate Kullen could be Julia Kiefer's actual killer.
We intend to consider that evidence in making our determination.
You can expect our decision in 48 hours.
We poppin' bags So get on the floor We poppin' bags I come for the dough We poppin' bags So that you know We poppin' bags No way.
Pop-pop-pop! Haters want me dead Runnin' from me, super psycho, voices in my head No blood in these streets that no one repeats I'm telling you, it was on.
I'm gonna get a four-by-four animal-style, and I'm gonna call that redhead back up.
That's what I'm gonna do.
Should be in a couple hours.
Hey, man, you say something?! No.
No, I-I wasn't talking to you.
You trying to start something?! - No, absolutely not.
- I don't know! I don't! - Okay, then let's start.
- No! Find another playmate.
[Indistinct conversations.]
Hey.
[Sighs.]
Brad? I owe you.
Thanks.
About that.
I hear you saying you're getting your release today? Uh, yeah, it was a a DUI.
That was so stupid.
I met this redhead at a party.
The thing is, Brad, I need you to switch wristbands with me.
Wait, what? I- I don't really think they allow that.
The deputies made a big deal about that.
You see that Sasquatch at the end of the yard? [Sighs.]
I'm here to kill him.
Seriously? Seriously.
I owe someone a debt, and after that, I really need to be somewhere not here, so Yeah, no, cool.
Yeah, I'm I'm down.
I mean, I'm I'm not down down, but I'm down to swap wristbands with you.
The least I can do.
Right? [Sighs.]
[Sarcastically.]
That went well.
You know what they say about witch hunts America's first faith-based initiative.
Who's this Kullen guy? Some con burning out his fuse up in Pelican Bay.
You know him? No, but he had most of the details right Nothing he couldn't have gotten out of a report.
He's lying his ass off.
But why? Hey, buddy.
I think I know you.
[Crack.]
Oh! [Indistinct conversations.]
Friend might need some help.
What does Kullen get out of it, confessing to something he didn't do? Transfer to County for a hearing with the D.
A.
That's about it.
Every con I ever met says the same thing about County It's worse than the pen.
Back up! Back up! I need a medic on the yard now.
On the yard now.
Overcrowded, flesh-eating bacteria, baloney sandwiches.
So why the hell would Kullen want to be put back in a place "Mother Jones" rated as the worst jail in America? Hold on.
Wait, Frank.
You read "Mother Jones"? Know thine enemy.
Come to think of it, County is really only good for one thing.
What's that? Busting out.
All right.
[Door closes.]
Best of luck to you, Butler.
Thank you.
[Door lock buzzes.]
Guard: Walk through the gate.
[Door lock buzzes.]
Hug the wall.
Yo.
Rebecca: Kullen took the I.
D.
bracelet off an inmate who was about to be released Brad Butler.
Then he moved in for the kill.
Victim in the prison yard's name was Mitchell.
D.
A.
's office says he was about to turn state's evidence against the Aryan Nation.
Never hesitate to close a deal.
Lesson learned.
I can't believe its that easy to escape.
7,000 arrestees crammed into a facility built to hold half that many.
Hell, one time, a guy stuck a photo of Eddie Murphy to a stolen I.
D.
and walked right out the front door.
Kyle: I figure Kullen kills this guy to distract the guards.
Frank: Maybe, but if I was gonna whack somebody just to create a smokescreen, I don't think I'd pick "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan here.
I want you guys to go make nice with the U.
S.
Marshals, find out how their manhunt for Kullen is going.
Maybe you can pick their pocket.
Well this ought to shut down I.
A.
's investigation.
Not that simple.
If Kullen isn't apprehended in the next 48 hours, the board is just gonna use that video confession.
We need Kullen to recant his statement.
"We"? That's right, Trainee.
48 hours, that board is gonna A-Rod me, and Lockhart is gonna put me out to pasture.
If that happens, there goes any chance of finding out who killed your old man.
This wasn't a one-man show.
Someone with juice had to slip Kullen the details on your shooting of Deacon.
Agreed, I'm being framed.
Question is, by who? [Siren wails, police radio chatter.]
I'ma go harder than them I'ma go harder than them Harder than who? Harder than all of these I'm way more harder than them Look at these how hard they pretend Look how they actin', they hardly as men Who can you call when it feels like the end? Plus, you just wishin' a real win They get TV in here? One channel.
Guy might not have had a cellphone.
Prisons have their own network.
[Grunts.]
If we follow that air vent I bet we find Kullen's study buddy.
Kullen has had exactly zero visitors.
Means whoever gave Kullen details about Frank's shooting came from inside.
Most of the dudes doing time up there know Frank.
I mean, he put enough of them in there.
Then there's always door number 2 it came from our end.
Lockhart.
I don't think she'd go that far.
Unless you do.
Convict: I'm gonna suck your eyeballs out of your head and eat them, Frank.
I'm gonna cut you open and use your lungs for a toilet, princess.
Come on over here, man! They get points for originality.
I put those two away back in '03, so they've had plenty of time to think about it.
[Door lock buzzes in distance.]
That cell there is opposite Kullen's.
What about you, old-timer? You want to eat my spleen or something? Yeah, maybe if you mash it up first.
Pike: Frank Rourke.
Took you longer to get here than I thought it would.
Am I supposed to know you? You killed my brother.
I killed a lot of brothers.
Deke was my brother.
Different moms.
Sorry for your loss.
Wait.
No, I'm not.
I knew you'd find your way up here once Kullen started telling everyone you shot the wrong guy.
Ah.
[Chuckles.]
Because how the hell would he get his hands on all the details of your report? You see, the thing is, Frank, I have people everywhere.
As a matter of fact, as soon as you hit this tier, two of my people checked themselves out of the infirmary.
They were put in there by Kullen during his job interview.
Now, here's where it gets real interesting because, by now, my two people are in the control room.
I don't like where this is going.
You see, neither one of us are gonna leave this prison alive, Frank.
We're both doing life sentences.
Frank.
Difference is your sentence is about to end in 30 seconds.
[Doors clanking.]
[Beeping.]
[Laughs.]
- Yes! - Whoo! [Indistinct shouting.]
[Doors clanking.]
Guard: Back in your cells now! Tell me you have a plan.
[Indistinct shouting.]
"Plan" is probably too strong a word! However, I do have a strong will to live! Kyle: That's a good place to start! [Indistinct shouting.]
Plans are overrated.
[Indistinct shouting.]
[Shouting stops.]
You want to tell us about Kullen? You think you can get me a few cans of Cheez Whiz in here? Most guys want heroin or something.
Ooh! No, Cheez Whiz family-size.
You got it.
Kullen wasn't like anybody else in this place.
Let me guess.
Didn't do it? Ah, it wasn't like that.
He never denied killing that guy.
Never said a word at his trial, neither, from what I heard.
You know, most cons, they They talk about something or someone out there.
Not Kullen.
He knew how to jail.
Found him a nice little vacation spot right in there.
And there he stayed.
Until? Till a couple of weeks ago.
He saw something on the news Something that scared him.
And this guy didn't scare.
Kullen say what it was? I think it was the wildfire.
You know, the big one a couple of weeks back.
Sand Fire? It was like somebody hit him with a cattle prod.
Said he had to get out of here.
Nothing else would do.
So I sent him to Pike.
Why would Kullen be afraid of a wildfire? Same reason anybody has Afraid of losing something.
[Door lock buzzes in distance.]
Or someone.
Cheez Whiz family-size.
You heard the man.
Reporter: The Sand Fire continues to burn in Santa Clarita, although fire officials have just said that it is about 35% contained, which is good news for our local residents.
The fire is predominantly moving to the north-northwest and working its way into the residences, but it is [Wolf snarls.]
Kullen got himself transferred out of Pelican Bay to L.
A.
County Jail, where he promptly busted out this morning.
Can't be a coincidence.
No, it's not.
[Inhales sharply.]
Kullen saw the same footage we did.
Reporter: Firefighters are trying to expand Her hair was longer then, but I'm telling you, that's Kullen's wife.
Kid must be his, too.
She's about the right age.
Fire must have smoked them out.
Whoo! [Chuckles.]
This This is a gift.
I got feelers out, boss.
[Wolf snarling.]
Feelers? Kullen robbed me of a million dollars.
[Chuckles.]
Do you know how much Indian blood I got, Mr.
Thorpe? You know? He looks 1/16 [Sighs.]
which barely entitles me to tribal benefits, such as running this fine gaming establishment here.
.
0625%.
It's a thimbleful.
But do you know what? The whole thimble is right here in my heart.
Ugh! You call yourself an Indian? Track her, find them.
Put your ear to the ground.
Call on the hoodoo of the Great Spirit we're so famous for.
And when you find them, you bring the kid back here to my teepee like little Natalie Wood in "The Searchers.
" When Kullen finds out that we've got her, you can bet your red ass the convict son of a bitch is gonna come searching for her.
See, we don't have to find the damn money.
Kullen will bring it here.
He'll drop it at our feet like a collie with a dead bird.
Then our dear friend Mr.
Kullen can watch while I feed his young'un to General George Armstrong Custer here.
[Wolf growls.]
After that I'll kill him.
[Traffic passing, horns honking.]
Kullen's got the information about your shooting from Pike.
We ought to take that to Lockhart.
It won't make any difference.
Kullen's given her a sworn statement saying he killed Julia Kiefer.
[Sighs.]
Unless he changes his testimony, I can't prove jack.
But you're being set up.
You still don't get it, do you? Lockhart's got me in her gunsights.
[Scoffs.]
What happened with you two? She keeps a photo of you, her, and my dad on her office desk.
I've seen it.
You guys must have been tight at some point.
The three of us worked CRASH together back when we all had the same idea about policing.
What changed? It wasn't me and Billy, I can tell you that.
Lockhart's always had her eye on the 10th floor.
Only politics doesn't cut it out here on the street.
Start looking over your shoulder for somebody who's supposed to be watching your back, sooner or later, its gonna get you killed.
You blame her? What happened to your dad was the last straw.
So, I found the reason Kullen never offered a defense at his trial.
Chief Jimmy Wade.
10 years ago, Kullen and his partner, Eddie Wyatt, robbed Wade's casino.
72 hours later, Wyatt ends up dead Mauled by Reggie Nighthorse.
He was a professional problem-solver in the employ of Chief Jimmy Wade.
Wade had a lot of problems.
Nighthorse made them go away.
Tommy: But after he kills Wyatt, Nighthorse doesn't find any of the stolen casino loot.
So he goes after Kullen next.
Only Kullen turns out to be more than Nighthorse can handle.
Kullen killed him.
That's how he ended up in Pelican Bay.
So, Kullen stashed the casino money somewhere, and now he's come back for it.
But why now? What happened? The Sands Fire is what happened.
Wherever Kullen stashed that casino cash, the Sands Fire exposed it somehow.
Wade would know about Kullen's escape by now.
He's probably got people out there looking for him.
Lockhart bought Kullen's so-called confession 'cause she wanted it to be true.
Kullen sold it by incorporating some of his own personal story into it.
Same way an undercover would.
My guess is, there's a woman he loved in that story A woman who was forced out of hiding by the fire.
Kullen didn't bury that money somewhere out there.
He gave it to her someone he knew he could trust.
It means, whoever she is, Wade's hunting her, too.
We'll take care of you.
Step right up.
Would you like some water? Okay, thank you.
Hi.
Can I help you? Hi.
yeah, I'm looking for my sister-in-law and niece.
I haven't heard from them since yesterday.
What's her name? Lauren.
Oh, I remember them.
They were loaded onto the buses this morning.
Headed where? Los Angeles.
Hi.
[Sighs.]
You looking for this? Killing me is not gonna help you.
Wade is still gonna scalp your old lady and your kid, and he's got the resources to find them before you can.
You know, I think you're right.
I need to kill Wade first.
But as long as I'm here [Gunshots.]
Safe journey.
Cockroaches and the rat Unh Hand-me-downs with the patches Mama put a little money in the mattress Kwame K Long live the chief Val: Dead guy is Rick Thorpe, one of Jimmy Wade's hatchet men.
File that under "live by the sword.
" Rick here is a person of extreme interest in several homicides.
So, what was he doing there? Guessing he didn't come to pass out blankets.
Volunteer at the shelter said that Thorpe was asking after a woman and a kid.
She told him that she thought they got on a bus to L.
A.
earlier in the day.
He was hunting them for Wade.
Well, didn't work out for him.
Look, Kullen learned about Frank's shooting from some Aryan Brother named Pike.
He slipped Kullen the details.
It was all part of an elaborate escape plan.
Would help if we could prove that.
What more proof do you need? [Scoffs.]
You're asking me what I need.
This This was never my show to begin with.
I didn't volunteer for this duty.
I got drafted.
Lockhart is the one you need to convince.
What I do know is, if you want to get her off your boss' back, you need to bring Kullen in alive.
Heard from Thorpe? He's no longer of this world.
Stop with the "Game of Thrones" crap.
What happened? He was shot.
Kullen? Mm-hmm.
Hmm.
Warriors, my ass.
We do have a break.
A deputy sheriff had a bad weekend at a blackjack table.
Gave me this Screen capture from County Jail security video.
Who is it? Butler.
The guy Kullen switched bracelets with to get out.
Take George Custer here to do his business.
Then you go find this Butler guy.
Oh, my God! Dude, no, no, no, I didn't say a word to anyone! - Relax, relax.
- I swear! What are you doing here? I-I don't Don't take this the wrong way, but I had nowhere else to go.
You obviously live alone.
You got a camera? My phone 12 megapix Is that blood? Not mine.
Wait.
You're not gonna rob the casino? No, been there, done that.
Just make the I.
D.
, Brad.
Sure.
And I'm gonna need another shirt.
[Sighs.]
I, uh, I never learned how.
This Right.
Thanks.
You, uh, saved me from getting my ass kicked.
Right.
I need one more favor.
It's a big one.
Go get my wife and kid.
I know where they are.
Lockhart: That's two murders in as many days, and we're still no closer to catching Kullen.
Kullen or Frank? I mean the killer loose on the streets of Los Angeles.
What was so different back then? Other than having no proof? Frank had friends at Parker Center looking out for him.
Is that all? It was a different department.
And I'm not necessarily proud of that.
But I am proud of being part of what we've become, and so should you, which is why we need Kullen.
[Knock on door.]
Coming! [Knocking continues.]
Thorpe was looking for a woman traveling with a kid.
Kullen killed Thorpe to protect them.
But according to the logs, Kullen never had a single visitor the entire time he was in prison.
If Kullen gave them the money from the casino heist, he would have put them into hiding to protect them from Wade.
How old is the girl? Witness said 9, 10.
[Sighs.]
Kullen's probably never even seen his daughter.
If Kullen finds his family, they're all in the wind.
If Wade doesn't find them first.
Kullen's not gonna wait for Wade to find them.
He's gonna take the fight to Wade.
Come on.
You guys go sit on the chief's house in case our boy shows up there.
Chief he's here.
Son of a bitch.
[Beep.]
We have a level-1 security risk, hallway 1A.
I want him alive.
Hey! Kullen sure is determined.
I'll give him that.
Of course he is.
Mr.
Kullen has waited 10 years for this.
[Taser crackling.]
Whoo-hoo! Like a hot knife through butter.
Each one of those security guys are fired, by the way.
They're not worth the pinch of a dry turd.
And they can kiss my ass if they think they're getting one nickel of workman's comp.
Don't worry.
Kullen will never get out of here alive.
Hell, don't you think Kullen knows that? Determination.
That brave knows this is a one-way trip.
Hókahé! You thieving bastard.
Today is a good day to die.
[Guns cocking.]
What took you so long, son? [Breathing heavily.]
Now, boy, time has come for you to go get me my money.
Let's hope, for their sake, that the warm winds are at your backside.
Go on.
Freeze.
I'm unarmed.
Wade has my wife and daughter.
He's going to kill them.
[Sighs.]
No, he's not 'cause we're not gonna let that happen.
[Knock on door.]
Wade I'm coming in.
[Guns cock.]
What the hell is this? Woman and her daughter walk right now or I blow his brains out all over your office, and you never get your money.
[Chuckling.]
What do you know, boys? Got ourselves a genuine powwow.
[Chuckles.]
All right, you got a deal.
Ladies free to go.
You know what my grandfather used to say to me? "It is better to have less thunder in your mouth than lightning in your hand.
" Grandfather sounds like a funny guy.
Know what mine used to say? "It's hard out here for a pimp.
" You know, on second thought, it's only a million bucks.
Kill them, boys.
No! No! Are you hit? I'm okay! Go! [Indistinct conversations.]
Guys! Everybody down! It's a good day to die, boys! [Indistinct shouting.]
Be ready for your Little Bighorn, boys! I'm gonna get around behind him.
Cover on 3.
3! [Gunfire.]
[Gun clicks.]
[Gunfire.]
Ugh! [Moaning.]
[Gun cocks.]
[Squish.]
[Crowd gasps.]
[Gasping.]
Hókahé.
I guess today was a good day to die.
[Siren wails.]
Lopes: Are you saying, under oath, Mr.
Kullen, that you gave a false admission in regards to the murder of Julia Kiefer? Yes, ma'am.
And that the pertinent details you received in regards to Detective Rourke's shooting of Ryan Deacon were with the sole purpose of aiding and abetting your escape? That is correct.
Anything else you'd like to add? Yeah, I'd like to apologize to Detective Rourke for putting him in this mess.
You see, the truth is, the reason I could use him as bait is because he put half the guys in Pelican Bay up there.
It wasn't personal.
Told you it was a good shoot.
I think Lockhart just puked a Pontiac.
Ha! If you want to take a minute, now is the time.
Hold on a sec, sweetie.
I was No.
No.
I was gonna get both of you out of town.
We belong here with you.
I'm sorry for all of it.
I'm not.
She's beautiful.
She looks just like you.
Ready to meet her? [Sighs.]
Come here, Grace.
I'm Grace.
That is a very pretty name.
Do you know what it means? Grace is when God gives you something, even though you don't deserve it.
Are you guys all policemen? That's right, honey.
We all work together.
[Sighs.]
And I'm sorry, sweetheart, but I have to go.
Okay.
But can you come back sometime? I will be counting the days.
Wait! He can keep you company until then.
[Chuckles.]
I love you, Daddy.
I love you, too, Grace.
[Sighs.]
I chose that name for you.
You're the gift from God that I don't deserve.
But I promise you that I will work the rest of my life to become a man that does.
I don't know, Frank but somehow I think maybe you're getting soft in your old age.
[Scoffs.]
[Chuckles.]
[Footsteps approaching.]
You do know, the older you get, the more you look like him? [Chuckles.]
I know what it's like to grow up without a father, but for the first time, I'm beginning to understand how my old man felt, too.
Can't hold yourself responsible for that or what happened to him.
[Cellphone buzzes.]
What is it? [Beep.]
- Aw, it's work stuff.
Uh, t-they're trying to pull the serial numbers off the key.
Are you going to chase it? I have to.
You already made the choice [Sighs.]
for the both of us.
Look, I love you, Kyle but it is not fair to bring a child into this.
[Sighs.]
Not until you can put his murder behind you.
[Breathing heavily.]
["Cowboy Song" plays.]
I am just a cowboy Lonesome on the trail Lord, I'm just thinkin' So, this is the place all those tax dollars pay for.
Ordinarily, we make people use a password to get in here.
You forget, I still outrank you.
"Still" being the operative word, right? As in, "I still have my badge.
" If you're expecting an apology, I'm not here to give you one.
You being here is an apology.
