I said, "When I agreed to help you,
I told you I would be listing agent."
She said, "I don't remember that."
I'm like, "It's convenient for you
when you don't remember things."

and disrespectful to me in the process.

"First of all, that's not how it works."

On my first listing,
I took somebody with me,
and they were listing agent,
and I was like,
"I want to learn from you,
guide me, and give me the check."

How's everybody getting along

I'm not sure if you, like, know
some of the rumors going around.
The girls somehow labeled me as entitled,
obviously they don't know
where I come from.
And they also have spread rumors about me
that I sleep with developers
to get such large listings.
[Lisa] Once something is said like that,
you can't you can't take it back.
-[Rose] Right.
-Um, the damage that's been done
This is a high-end
luxury real estate company,
and this kind of stuff is not acceptable.
It really hurts because
they do not know where I come from.
[Rose]
I came from a background of nothing.
My biological parents are both homeless.
They do drugs.
And, um, I got taken away,
along with my brother,
when I was about five years old,
because, you know,
they were taking drugs inside hotels,
and we were locked in the closets.
-And police had gotten called. Yeah.
-What?
[Lisa] I'm so sorry.
Oh, my gosh.
Luckily, I was adopted. Unfortunately, um
2003 on Christmas day,
my adopted dad died when I was eight.
So, you know,
I didn't grow up with a dad, and, um
[voice breaks]
life was really hard, you know?
-Growing up.
-[Gio] Wow.

When my adoptive dad passed away,
it was really, really tough on my mom
because she was the single mom
of myself and four of my other brothers,
because my adoptive parents
adopted all of us
from my biological parents,
who couldn't take care of us.
Actually, when my dad passed,
my mom got a call from social workers
saying my biological mom had another baby.
So she didn't want
to break us up, you know?
It would be your half-brother.
Yeah, so we have different dads
-[Lisa] Right.
-from the same biological mom.
I've actually met my biological mom
on the streets in Huntington Beach,
like, on Beach Boulevard,
like, a bad, bad area.
She was literally lying
on the side of the street.
She couldn't look at me in the eye,
and she's in and out of jail.
-Oh, wow.
-She was like an animal.
I'm not kidding. Like an animal.
To look at you now,
no one would ever look at you, Rose,
and know the pain and the trauma. Okay?
You've been through trauma, girl.
-Yeah.
-I think it's, you know, made me who I am,
and I wouldn't change anything
that has ever happened to me
because I probably wouldn't be here.
All the more admirable
for who you've become.
And you can use that as ammunition.
Use that hunger to be successful.
-You can change the course.
-It's about where you're going.

So it hurts me that, like, these girls
in the office think they can talk shit,
but I'm obviously not gonna tell them,
-"This is where I come from."

hating on her
when they don't know her.
They judge her based on her success now.
They don't see what she walked through
to get where she is at.

without talking to her

We FaceTime every day,
but right now, with COVID, it's insane.
Her immune system is really compromised,
so the last thing I want to do
is go fly out there
and risk her getting COVID.

But I haven't seen her
in about two months, and it's very hard.
My mom just recently
got diagnosed with a cancer.
My mom is like this:
"Go get it. Don't worry about me.
I don't care. Go get it."
[voice breaking]
So it's challenging for her to have cancer
because with this stage of my life,
I realize the potential to change
my family's future, including my mom.
And she did everything for me
when I was growing up,
so it's my turn to do everything for her.
When some of these agents here
make $500,000 on a deal
and they're just like,
"Yay! Woo-hoo! $500,000!"
I'm like, I could literally
move my mom here,
and she can get the best doctors
here in Newport.
I just laugh when I start getting
dragged into the drama because I'm like,
"Y'all don't have a clue.
I do not care about this."
I'm hustling to give my mom
everything that she worked hard for.
I'm hustling to give my children a future
that most Black little kids don't get.
But I know you and I just definitely
bonded over having, you know, similar
-It was tough, with our upbringing.
-The school of hard knocks.
-Right.
-I had nothing.
I came to Orange County from the L.A. area
with the clothes on my back.
-And that's it.
-We both lived in Inglewood.

[Brandi] After growing up in L.A.,
I moved to San Bernardino County,
one of the highest crime capitals
in the United States.
It was a huge thing for me to get out
of that city and make a name for myself,
and I'm thankful for where I come from,
because it did shape me as a person.
It's so important to us to succeed.

-There's no plan B.

I came from a background of nothing.
My biological parents are both homeless.
They do drugs.
And, um, I got taken away,
along with my brother,
when I was about five years old,
because, you know,
they were taking drugs inside hotels,
and we were locked in the closets.
-And police had gotten called. Yeah.

Luckily, I was adopted. Unfortunately, um
2003 on Christmas day,
my adopted dad died when I was eight.
So, you know,
I didn't grow up with a dad, and, um

When my adoptive dad passed away,
it was really, really tough on my mom
because she was the single mom
of myself and four of my other brothers,
because my adoptive parents

saying my biological mom had another baby.
So she didn't want
to break us up, you know?
It would be your half-brother.
Yeah, so we have different dads

-from the same biological mom.
I've actually met my biological mom
on the streets in Huntington Beach,
like, on Beach Boulevard,
like, a bad, bad area.
She was literally lying
on the side of the street.
She couldn't look at me in the eye,
and she's in and out of jail.

I'm not kidding. Like an animal.
To look at you now,
no one would ever look at you, Rose,
and know the pain and the trauma. Okay?

We FaceTime every day,
but right now, with COVID, it's insane.
Her immune system is really compromised,
so the last thing I want to do
is go fly out there
and risk her getting COVID.

But I haven't seen her
in about two months, and it's very hard.
My mom just recently
got diagnosed with a cancer.
My mom is like this:
"Go get it. Don't worry about me.
I don't care. Go get it."

So it's challenging for her to have cancer
because with this stage of my life,
I realize the potential to change
my family's future, including my mom.
And she did everything for me
when I was growing up,
so it's my turn to do everything for her.
When some of these agents here
make $500,000 on a deal
and they're just like,
"Yay! Woo-hoo! $500,000!"
I'm like, I could literally
move my mom here,
and she can get the best doctors
here in Newport.
I just laugh when I start getting
dragged into the drama because I'm like,
"Y'all don't have a clue.
I do not care about this."
I'm hustling to give my mom
everything that she worked hard for.
I'm hustling to give my children a future
that most Black little kids don't get.
But I know you and I just definitely
bonded over having, you know, similar
-It was tough, with our upbringing.

I came to Orange County from the L.A. area
with the clothes on my back.
