Revelaciones

A NETFLIX SERIES
[ominous music playing]
[priest] Five youths,
two females and three males,
surrounding the heir in the cave.
Therion will rise from his throne
and overpower him
during the sixth full moon,
220 years from now.
[scribe] Father, is this the vision
that was revealed to you?
That's more than two centuries from now.
Are you sure
this is the coming of the future?
The sixth is the final entrance.
And this,
the mark of their leader.
The information contained in this book
is too valuable.
I must hand it over
to the White Order this very night.
My hands.
The poison has
begun to take effect, I see.
- [gasping]
- Everything will go quickly now.
- [ominous music playing]
- It won't hurt.
I guarantee it.
I've done this quite a bit.
I've swapped bodies three times
just to get here.
[groaning]
[scribe] It's strange that,
even with this book in your hands,
you couldn't understand the signs.
It's exciting to think that there's
someone right now witnessing this moment.
[eerie humming]
Sorry that the warning was useless.
But now it seems that, moving forward,
I'm going to need
to ensure that more competent hands
guard such important information.
[Álex on recording] Who was that scribe?
A shadow?
[Efrén on recording] No.
He was what they refer to as an anomaly.
Someone who takes advantage of a
shadows' planned entrance to swap bodies.
[Álex] And where's that book now?
[Efrén] The servants to Therion
managed to track it down
generation after generation
so that nobody would know its secrets.
[sinister music playing]
[Álex] How do you know that though?
[Efrén] One day you'll know.
- [blinds drawing]
- [gasps]
[window opens]
[in tongues] Where are you, brothers?
Where are you, brothers?
[echoing] Where are you, brothers?
[disembodied voice] Show me more
[Álex in English] I don't understand.
What are you saying, Grandpa?
- [flesh rippling]
- [in tongues] Now show me your face.
You'll have to move to a younger body.
- [Berta in English] Roque?
- [gasping]
- Roque.
- [sighs]
You were talking in your sleep.
And you're burning up.
We should get you to the hospital.
Leave me alone. I'm fine.
[menacing music playing]
[horn honks]
- Hello, Alma.
- Do I know you?
I haven't had the pleasure.
I read all about you.
I'm Ricardo.
- You really don't remember anything?
- Who are you?
- Someone not as lucky as your parents.
- I'm sorry.
No, I'm sorry for showing up like this.
But I didn't know how else to talk to you.
I don't know if you and Tom understand
how important you are to our situation.
There's going to be
a trial to decide who's responsible
Well, I don't know anything.
I'm really sorry.
Yeah, but Tom does.
And he doesn't want to help.
But you could talk him into it.
We need your help! Hey!
[unsettling music playing]
Let go of me!
Hey, what's wrong? Calm down.
Think about it!
Think about the other parents!
Please, kid.
[Pilar] Ali!
I'M GOING TO SPEND THE DAY WITH TOM
A
Ali!
[faint eerie humming]
[disembodied voice] Mom I'm here.
[eerie music playing]
Lara.
LUARCA
- Am I late?
- No, you're ten minutes early.
Are you okay?
Yeah, it's just, I was followed
by some guy when I left the house.
- Who?
- I guess Ricardo.
He said he's a parent of someone
in the accident. You know who he is?
[indistinct chatter on PA]
He asked if I could
convince you to testify against Carlos.
They've pissed off everybody.
I can't believe it.
The guy looks
so much younger than my parents,
brown-hair, strong, had a full beard.
Sound familiar?
- But what happened? Did he threaten you?
- He grabbed me, but
It felt so
It felt almost
like I woke up suddenly.
What do you mean?
These images seemed to fall into my head.
Almost
Almost as if they weren't my memories,
like they were someone else's.
Are you cold?
A little bit.
Put your arm in here.
- In there?
- Yeah.
[sweet music playing]
I felt jealous of Deva
because I thought you were with her.
Well, now you know I wasn't.
Why didn't you say anything?
Because I didn't know
if you'd feel the same anymore.
I don't know how I felt then,
but I know how I feel right now.
Thank you for coming with me.
You ready?
Can I get a coffee?
What do you want?
Why did you call me? What you need?
Tell me what happened to my brother.
Ever since the accident, he
he's unrecognizable.
You told me I needed to watch him.
What do you know?
Who you brought home
isn't Roque.
Tell me what happened, I beg you.
Fine.
But I have to warn you,
nothing will ever be the same.
[intriguing music playing]
I'm gonna teach you
how to communicate with Roque.
The real Roque.
[knocks on door]
[woman] Come in.
- Is he any better?
- See for yourself.
Carlos doesn't deserve
what's happening to him.
We're past that.
Sorry I couldn't
give my statement any earlier.
You didn't choose to fall into a coma.
It doesn't matter.
[monitor beeping rhythmically]
[indistinct rumbling]
Could you hear anything?
When you were in your coma.
Not exactly, but
- But I could feel things.
- Like what?
Uh
like the emotions
of different people who were close to me.
He knows you never lost faith in him.
And that you're
constantly praying for him.
Even though you don't believe it.
And he's grateful
that you haven't left his side.
How do you know that?
He wants to wake up. He's coming back.
[woman] That would be a miracle.
Well, miracles happen.
[phone vibrating and chiming]
It's my daughter. I'll be right back.
[door closes]
How are you doing?
[ominous music playing faintly]
[air hissing]
- [monitor beeping loudly]
- [sucking]
[monitor beeping rhythmically]
[sinister music playing]
[spasming]
[eerie humming]
[sinister music continues]
[gasping loudly]
[device beeping loudly]
[woman] What is it? Carlos!
Carlos!
Honey.
[exclaims happily]
My love.
[sweeping music playing]
That's it. I know these mountains.
[Tom] The retreat's up there
and the ruins.
There, in that forest.
That's where we're going.
Well,
we only have
six hours till our train back.
[Tom] Let's go.
[grunts]
SYDNEY
[Bruno] Good morning.
- You didn't show me all this.
- Not much to see.
- You like to travel?
- I'd like to, yes.
SPAIN
PASSPOR
[chuckles] Nice smile!
Is it new?
No, I've never traveled before.
That's why I ask all my
international guests to send me postcards.
You're serious, aren't you?
It's not so bad here if you pay attention.
While we're at it,
I'll give you the grand tour.
- Won't be that long.
- Okay.
A GREAT BANQUET AWAITS US THIS YEAR
[Martín] I didn't know
you liked photography.
May I?
"Life is about enjoying and sharing it.
Everything else is anecdotes."
"One day,
I'll write the book of a lifetime."
"Not the life I've lived, rather the one
I would have liked to live."
[soft music playing]
"You have to be able to do three things."
"To love what is mortal,
to hold it close when it's there,
and when the time comes, to release it."
I don't want to leave.
I should go check on my grandpa.
Um, I'm gonna jump in the shower first.
Take anything you need from the closet.
[shower running]
[intriguing music playing]
[soft piano music playing]
[Martín] I haven't done this.
[Bruno] Me neither.
[ominous music playing]
- [Tom] You're going too fast.
- [Alma] Come on.
[Tom groans]
You go first.
The trail gets easier as it goes.
Tom, you won't make it.
And you'll likely hurt yourself.
- I think it's better if go alone.
- Are you sure?
I have to do this, Tom.
Okay, you go. If you follow the trail,
you'll get to the stele.
- Yeah.
- From there, you'll see the castle ruins.
Then follow the gorge to the cave.
- Okay. I'll be at the retreat.
- See you there.
- I'll meet you before the train.
- Be safe.
Did you like it?
If I hadn't mentioned anything
to you that day, would we be here?
So now what happens?
I guess I'll tell Diana.
[knock on door]
- [Diana] Has he calmed down?
- He hasn't spoken to me since that night.
- Are you okay?
- Do you think Bruno will leave?
To where?
With Martín.
Martín is pretty discreet, so I don't know
what's going on with those two.
I'm sorry,
I shouldn't discuss this with you.
Because I'm a kid?
I'm not an idiot.
Bruno loves you very much.
You said your father
had the other two pieces?
Mmm.
A bear and an ox.
Do you think the legends are real?
I think that
there are those who'd
do unspeakable things for power.
[phone ringing]
DAD
CALLING
- [Diana] Shit.
- Aren't you going to pick up?
[phone vibrating]
[intriguing music playing]
- [Diana] Hello?
- Diana, where are you?
I've been calling non-stop.
You had your phone off.
[Diana] Sorry, Dad.
My battery died and I hadn't realized.
- Any news on Martín?
- No information yet.
I'm sorry if I scared you.
- I wanted to check in. How are you doing?
- [laughs nervously] How am I doing?
- It's
- [man] Why don't you come home?
It's hard enough
having to be without Martín,
- let alone not having you by my side.
- [Diana] I just can't, Dad.
Every corner of that house
reminds me of Martín.
I can't be there. I can't.
- [beeping]
- [man] I know.
The days seem endless to me too.
It'd be better if you were here.
It's impossible.
I can't talk about Martín, I'm so sorry.
- Diana
- [line disconnects]
- She's a clever girl.
- She hung up.
The call was too short,
but I can try and trace her.
[Tom] Diana?
Tom?
[Tom] Why are you here?
Did something happen?
- [exclaims]
- Any news on Martín?
You can't mention this to anyone.
Is he all right?
- Yes!
- [Tom laughs]
I fell down a hole
and later I woke up in this cave.
I was there for three weeks
before they got me out.
- But why are you still hiding?
- Because I'm being traced.
Shortly after we got Martín back here,
this mist surrounded us
and the entire house.
There were two of those shadows.
One attacked Martín.
But there was another one.
My grandfather has gotten
much worse since that night.
We think the shadow
may have affected him in some way.
Why are you doing this alone?
Why are you still here?
I mean, are you
going to explain this or not?
Look, what I'm going to tell you
will sound impossible.
But I promise it's true.
My father has an obsession
with anything remotely esoteric.
He even has a collection
of archaeological artifacts in our house.
My grandfather started the collection.
He had the pieces
he'd found in the red chamber.
Then my father continued it
and expanded it as much as he could.
The masterpiece of his collection
is a book that amasses a series
of violent deaths through the centuries.
All of them related
to the entrance of a spirit.
And now after hearing Efrén's stories,
I'm starting to think it might
be that demon that he calls Therion.
My family's history
is full of misfortune and violence.
VI FULL MOON
A.D. MMXXI
[Diana] I believe
this book is a collection
of prophecies linked to our family.
There's a very revealing text
at the end of the book.
"Five spirits will possess five youths
on the third moon of the year."
The accident was on a full moon. Here.
- [mysterious music playing]
- [Diana] See?
The shadows cause tragedies
to choose new bodies.
[eerie humming]
[Diana] But in order to do so,
they need a person to let them in.
One to whom they can be linked forever.
That union is represented
by the six-fingered hand.
That symbol and many others
are represented on the stele stone.
- [humming]
- [gasps]
[Tom] And what
exactly does the prophecy say?
[Diana] A member of his own family will
deliver the young man to the five shadows
so that the dark lord can enter him.
My father knew what was happening.
Martín is the chosen one.
Okay, so the accident was planned then.
Why?
So the shadows can enter.
They can only enter a body
between the seconds of life and death.
That's what my grandpa said.
There's no mark.
What mark?
I have a theory that when a shadow
enters a body, it leaves a mark.
I got it from my grandpa's stories.
Roque, he has
a burst blood vessel in his iris.
And Roque's recovered?
- He's different.
- And Ali? Does her eye have a mark?
Tom, did you see it?
[Álex] Do you think she could be a shadow?
[Tom] I don't know. She has an eye patch.
What is this?
[Diana] It's the hexaspeculum,
a medieval tool for clairvoyance.
When the six mirrors close,
they reveal the five people
who will be invaded by the shadows,
and whoever uses it
is offered the possibility to swap bodies.
But entering the hexaspeculum
could cost you your life.
This thing is real. It exists.
I was there. I know the spot.
- [suspenseful music playing]
- [metal clangs]
[Alma] Deva?
Deva, are you okay?
Where were you?
[suspenseful music building]
You came here too then.
[Tom] Lara was there. Deva was there.
And now they're both dead.
Ali's entering it at any moment.
I've gotta stop her.
- Tom, don't go.
- I can't abandon her!
[door creaks and thuds]
[eerie rumbling]
[eerie humming and rumbling]
I want to change my destiny.
Ahh!
[eerie rumbling]
[gasps]
[Efrén on recording] The shadows
need to possess five youths
in order to bring back Therion.
Only when the five
have been fully incarnated
can Therion finally be summoned.
[Álex] And what if they don't all succeed?
[Efrén] They will do anything possible
to find a host for the shadow
Fuck, Grandpa, you scared me, you know!
What happened?
Grandpa, what are you doing?
Bruno, hurry!
I don't know what Grandpa wants!
[discordant music playing]
[Álex] What's going on here?
What is this? Grandpa!
Grandpa!
[sinister music playing]
Grandpa, why are you up?
Go to your room.
I'll bring you dinner in a minute.
[eerie music playing]
[indistinct whooshing]
- [indistinct faint rumbling]
- [sinister music playing]
[knife clatters]
- [discordant music playing]
- Grandpa?
Ahh!
- [Bruno screaming]
- [dramatic music playing]
[screaming and exclaiming]
- [door banging]
- [Martín] Bruno!
Bruno, open the door!
- [pots clattering]
- [Martín] Bruno!
- Bruno?
- [Bruno screaming in distance]
[screaming]
[Martín] Open the door! Bruno!
- Ahh!
- [dramatic music continues]
[Martín] Efrén!
[banging on door] Efrén!
Efrén!
[Diana] Efrén!
[sinister music playing]
[Diana] Efrén! No!
Efrén, no!
[sinister music building]
[glass shatters]
[Diana] Efrén, stop!
[sinister music stops]
He's still breathing.
Let's get him out of here. Grab him.
Careful. Go.
Okay, careful.
[tense music playing]
- [Álex] What happened?
- Your grandpa
That's not my grandpa. Where is he?
Álex, no! Álex, you shouldn't see it!
[tense music continues]
[gurgling]
Grandpa, are you here?
[eerie humming]
[sputters weakly]
[coughs]
[Martín] Bruno.
Bruno.
He needs to go to the hospital.
[Álex] Grandpa, hang on.
Grandpa.
[vehicle approaching]
[sinister music playing]
Martín
[man] Don't be afraid.
[sinister music building]
[Tom] Ali!
Ali!
Ali!
[branches rustling]
- Tom?
- Ali!
- Why are you here?
- [Tom] I couldn't leave you.
Are you okay? Did you find it?
It's a horrible place. Let's go home.
- [bus approaching]
- [Tom] I'm sorry we missed the train, Ali.
This is our only way of getting back now.
[somber music playing]
You can sit there.
[mysterious music playing]
[eerie humming]
[teacher] I count 17. Someone's missing.
[student 1] Deva.
[teacher] What a surprise.
[student 2] Here she comes.
[Deva] I gotta talk to you
about what happened yesterday.
You are making me nervous.
[teacher] Deva, sit down, we're leaving.
[mysterious music continues]
[tense music playing]
[tense music building]
R.I.P.
WE LOVE YOU
WE WON'T FORGET YOU
[tense music fading]
[Tom] Is this normal?
- We should stop.
- It's only mist.
[eerie humming]
- Where's that coming from?
- [humming continues]
Shh! Just listen.
[ominous music playing]
- [brakes screech]
- [students exclaim]
[Tom echoing] Ali.
Ali, are you okay?
What's wrong?
Wake up, Ali.
Ali, wake up.
Hold on.
Look out!
- [loud crash]
- [Tom] Wake up!
[gasps]
[Tom] Ali.
Ali, are you all right?
- [discordant music playing]
- [eerie humming]
[Lara] Are you saying
it's possible to swap bodies?
TRANSMIGRATIONS
BOOK OF POEMS
Are you saying
that you're reincarnated or
[Tom] It's okay,
you just hit your head a little.
I remember everything, all of it.
I'LL GIVE YOU ANOTHER LIFE
I want to change my destiny.
[Alma] Stop. I know who I am now.
- Stop!
- I'm here.
- Look, I'm right here!
- [Alma] Stop!
[echoing] Stop!
Stop! Stop the bus, please! Let me leave!
Let me out right now!
[mysterious music playing]
Ali!
Ali!
[Alma] I don't know if it's me.
- [Deva] So who are you?
- [mysterious music building]
[dramatic music playing]
