What have I done? I've lost my magic.
They come from a book of spells
called the Star Cross Grimoire.
Extremely dangerous.
[MACHINE BEEPING]
No! [SOBBING]
SARAH: We have to leave right now.
Why? What happened?
Jake Bolt just died,
and they're blaming me.
What? And if we don't get out now
we might not survive, so
I need you to trust me.
[SIRENS WAILING]
[BACKGROUND PLEADING/SHOUTING]
OFFICER [OOV]: Shall I proceed, Sir?
TED BOLT: Yeah, keep
going straight through.
ANNA: So in the wake of the
tragic death of Jacob Bolt,
the UK Health Security Agency,
following advice from
eminent virology professor,
Michael Whithall, has
taken the unprecedented step
of placing the entire town
of Sanctuary in quarantine
until the mystery virus can
be brought under control.
This is Anna Dao bringing you
breaking news as it happens.
DCI MAGGIE KNIGHT [ON
PHONE]: Remi, I need you

REMY [ON PHONE]: It's not

overstepping our jurisdiction.

A few kids falling sick
and one unexplained death?

for try to help people-
including you.
Everyone knew, it was common knowledge
that you'd rock up to work half pissed.

has been found at one of the spell sites
and though police are not
naming a source, an expert-

- REPORTER [ON RADIO]: [CONT.] has suggesting a link
to the mystery virus
and to the involvement of witchcraft.
OFFICER: Pull over to the left!
RYAN: DC Henshaw,
I need to see Chief Inspector Bolt
at Sanctuary Police Station.
OFFICER [OOV]: Open up the
rear of the vehicle please.
RYAN: Err this book, it's a
highly dangerous spell book.
I've been ordered to take
it to Chief Inspector Bolt
as a matter of urgency
and public safety.
OFFICER: I'll see it gets delivered.
DCI MAGGIE KNIGHT: [SIGHS]
ANNA PTC [ON TV]: And though police
are not naming a source,
an expert has suggested a
link to the mystery virus
and to the involvement of witchcraft.
IZZY: How could they say that?
I was sick before and it had
nothing to do with witchcraft.
It's so unfair, now
Sarah's getting blamed
and everyone's hating on Harper
and none of it's her fault.
CHERYL: We don't know that sweetheart.

REPORTER [ON TV]: the

with murder by unnatural means.

That virus turned just to be a virus,
Michael Whithall was
responsible for Jake's death,
Ted Bolt lost his shit and shot him,
he was subsequently
electrocuted by a dodgy mic.
RYAN: And Abigail Whithall?
DCI MAGGIE KNIGHT: So grief stricken
she threw herself off
the top of a building.
RYAN: And no other
startling revelations.
IZZY [FLASHBACK]: Harper didn't do it,

HARPER FENN: About six years ago.

IZZY [FLASHBACK]: Dan,

SARAH FENN: But why did you hide it?

HARPER FENN: I know

even good, law abiding ones,
so I decided to hide
it from everyone.
SARAH FENN: But how?
HARPER FENN [VO]: Starcrossed showed me
how to craft a ritual of concealment
and to make it as powerful as
possible I used the Old Signs,
starting with Obscurity.
The Old Signs can be
made even more powerful
if they become part of a witch's body.
HARPER FENN: [CONT.] I
never thought my spell would work
but at my Determination
SARAH FENN: Even the moot was fooled.
All of this and no one to share it with.
HARPER FENN: It was tough and
things escalated at the party,
Izzy turned up and got in an
argument with Dan and pushed him,
it was an accident but I
knew no one would believe her.
SARAH FENN: You used
magic to create the fire
so Izzy could escape?
And at the warehouse, Abi's fall
you have such power, you
don't even need words?
HARPER FENN: I didn't
wanna have to use it,
I hung on, hoping that
something would save us but
SARAH FENN: You did what you had to do.
HARPER FENN: So I suppose we're
gonna be good little witches
and hand that in then, yeah?
SARAH FENN: Because that
would be the right thing to do.
HARPER FENN: And doing the right
thing has always served us so well.
SARAH FENN: By the way

HARPER FENN: [SIGHS]
SARAH FENN [VO]:
There may never be a time
when witches live free from persecution,
people fear what they do not understand
and because of that, witches
will always be outsiders,
having to fight for
survival and acceptance.
I realise now it won't
be different for Harper,
her path will be hard,
full of obstacles and danger
but we must not return to the dark days.
SARAH FENN: Yes!
SARAH FENN [VO]: We
must continue forwards
into the light.
