Shots Fired (2017) s01e07 Episode Script

Hour Seven: The Content of Their Character

1 ANNOUNCER: Previously on "Shots Fired" Please drop this custody suit.
It should have never happened, baby.
(moaning and panting on recording) The governor called me personally.
She wants a black prosecutor out front optics.
All the murdering of unarmed black men by police across this country, and this is the one that the government is investigating? BREELAND: Refusing a sobriety test, assaulting an officer, and resisting arrest certainly won't get you your daughter back.
I'm placing you on administrative leave with pay until this is resolved.
Your mother and I, we're taking a loan against the house.
We're gonna have enough to cover your legal fees.
Joey Campbell's murderer you were there that night.
- Who says? - His mother.
I am not declaring war on my citizens.
Your citizens have already declared war on you.
(shouting, explosions) (shouting) Shut that thing off! What are you doing, damn it? Come here! Get off my son! Get off! That's my mom! Son! MAN: Extra patrols BREELAND: With the exception of a few isolated pockets of unrest, the violence seems to be contained.
But we're all on alert should there be any more incidents.
That video of you is all over social media, Lieutenant.
How does it feel to be a hero? I'm no hero I'm just doing my job.
The Tours part of your job? Yes, ma'am.
I'd like you to be straight with me.
Were there any abuses within the program? If there were, I would've reported them immediately to Sheriff Platt.
Of course.
(horn honking) MAN: Stop right there! (grunting) Stop here.
Stop.
OFFICER: Stop resisting! Get those people back.
Get back, now! Is this level of force necessary? He was noncompliant with the officers, Governor.
- WOMAN: What's the governor doing here? - (crowd shouting) Move back! What did this young man do? He vandalized that building with spray paint.
Consider this a pardon.
We should leave, ma'am.
If our stars don't shine in the darkness Where do we go from here? Where do we go? Do we hold onto the dream regardless? Where do we go from here? (phone buzzing) Preston Terry.
This is Deputy Carroll.
PRESTON: Hey, how are you, sir? I've been trying to explain to the AG why this investigation's produced no meaningful results.
Sir, just because I haven't charged Deputy Beck with the murder of Jesse Carr doesn't mean that we're wasting our time here.
We've uncovered a level of police corruption within the Gate Station Sheriff's Department.
That's obviously over your head.
I take it you haven't spoken to Akino.
She gets back today.
Then I'll be the bearer of bad news.
You're being replaced.
Excuse me? I've assigned another team that will arrive next week you're done.
Sir, sir, that will be a huge mistake.
No, the mistake was putting you in a situation you're not quite qualified to handle.
I'm sorry.
Be prepared to hand over when they arrive.
(call ends) What the hell? (line ringing) (knocking on window) ASHE (on voicemail): This is Ashe, leave it here.
Thanks for meeting me.
I'm listening.
An eyewitness to a murder came forward a few months back, ID'd the shooter as a drug dealer named Calvin.
Testimony seemed totally legit.
Then when it went to trial, that same eyewitness recanted his story.
Admitted he lied about ever seeing Calvin shoot someone.
So what, he made the whole story up? A nice little fairy tale.
What does that have to do with any one of my cases? The witness fabricated his story because Pastor Janae didn't like Calvin.
He was a drug dealer she wanted him off the streets.
It's all here if you want to see it.
The word is your case is hanging on an eyewitness.
If I were you, I'd take a hard look at them.
People will say whatever the dollar or the pastor calls for.
And you just wanted to look out for me.
No.
No, you're destroying my town and my best friend's life.
I want the DOJ out of Gate Station.
No, you've caused enough problems.
(phone ringing) Where's Kai? PAULA: Out with her father.
I'll call back.
Javi told me everything.
I'm sure not everything.
We're gonna go to counseling.
We're gonna be okay.
But he's not dropping the custody case.
I think you're a crazy bitch.
You're no good for Kai.
I slept with your man, made him say my name.
And you're gonna stay? You're weak, Paula.
And you're out of your mind if you think I'm gonna let Kai learn that from you.
Walking away would have been easy.
(call ends) (sighs) REPORTER: Claims residents of the community assist in the clean up.
However, tensions remain high.
The backlash is from the investigation into the murder of Joey Campbell that has produced little results and no answers to the mother of the slain victim.
As protestors spill into the streets, the beleaguered police force was reinforced by a military presence and a tank.
Some say this made an already combustible situation even worse.
MALIK: Which way are the tanks driving? Toward us.
Which way are the guns pointed? At us.
But this city's been burning long before anyone lit a match.
So y'all either don't know, or y'all just don't give a damn.
Justice for Joey Campbell.
Justice for Joey Campbell.
- No justice, no peace.
- No peace.
CROWD (chanting): No justice, no peace! No justice, no peace! REPORTER: Authorities are bracing themselves for another night of unrest as residents REPORTER (on TV): "What about Joey" became protests that led to a day of violence in Gates Station, North Carolina.
While many called this a riot, residents of this small town called it an uprising MAN: Sorry, wrong table I'll take what she's having.
Vodka orange juice.
Guess the orange juice makes it breakfast.
So are we drinking out of regret or to forget? Here you go.
Maybe both.
To the mistakes we made today.
May we survive the ones we make tomorrow.
AIRPORT ANNOUNCER: This is the final boarding call for flight 7044 to New York JFK.
(exhales) You wanna get out of here? (chuckles) Wait, you serious? What, you got something against meaningless sex? I just know that sex is about everything but the sex.
I'm curious to know what this is for you.
Don't do that.
I mean, what was your endgame when you came over here? We exchange contact info, send dirty pics back and forth, sneak away from your wife once or twice a year for a long-distance booty call? I'm just cutting out the nonsense.
I considered all that, yeah.
Except for the dirty pics.
I may want to run for office one day.
I parked in long-term.
Meaningless enough for you? (phone chimes) (sighs) Have a safe flight.
(sighs) REPORTER: in North Carolina as peaceful protestors took a violent turn yesterday when demonstrators clashed with authorities.
However, the actions of one police officer made a bold statement against injustice.
Some hope his actions illustrate there is a hope for healing between law enforcement and African-American residents.
Others remain skeptical.
ANNOUNCER: Flight 610 to Charlotte is now boarding.
Passengers please proceed to Gate D3.
Give me another one.
REPORTER: who were arrested yesterday.
Sheriff Platt of the Gates Station Sheriff's Department says these recent acts of violence will not be tolerated.
The community has countered that to get justice for Carr, they're willing to do - whatever it takes to be heard.
- No.
They are calling on the president (police scanner crackles) MAN: Be careful trying to pick that up.
(broken glass crunches underfoot) MAN 2: All right, load 'em up.
MAN: Just take it to the dumpster on the side.
(faint chatter in background) (sighs) (bottle clatters) Mr.
D? I just wanted to check on you.
I, uh I don't know what's supposed to be gained by all this.
I knew this boy in 'Nam.
Stabbed himself with a bayonet, ruptured an artery, and almost died.
We were fighting an enemy we couldn't see, and there was no way to win.
The best you could hope for in that bush was a way out.
The boy in 'Nam got sent home.
We did this to ourselves and still can't get out.
I'm sorry.
I never meant for this to happen.
I just wanted to help.
The Department of Justice is pulling me from this investigation.
Looks like you bleeding out, too.
Oh, Mr.
Dabney.
I'm so sorry.
Thank you, Ms.
Woods.
Me too.
Mr.
Terry? I'm Shirlane Woods with Gate Newspaper Yes, I remember.
Any words for the people of this community? Any words? Yeah.
Now what? Are you asking on behalf of the DOJ or yourself? Off the record.
I'm angry at the people who did this.
I'm angry at the shootings of Jesse and Joey.
I'm angry at myself for Turn it back on.
The Department of Justice is concerned for the safety and well-being of all members of the community.
We're offering our assistance to the governor and local law enforcement in whatever way they should require.
SHIRLANE: I wish I could have done more, too.
(elevator bell dings) Your partner's out in the neighborhood.
Thought you might need a ride.
Ubering for extra cash, Lieutenant? Figured you'd just dip into the evidence locker when you get strapped.
Well, I doubt you came out of the cartels squeaky clean.
So your plan was just to hang out here all day, hoping to catch me off guard? I was concerned about you.
Must be tough fighting your baby-daddy for your little girl.
I don't know what I'd do if somebody took my daughters away, especially if it was my fault.
Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that.
Right.
But I'm sure you want to get this whole thing wrapped up so that you can get home to your little angel.
Before you go, maybe you'll let me buy you a drink.
I'll drive this time.
(indistinct chatter) Hey.
Damn.
I've never seen anything like it.
Air was so thick with smoke I could hardly breathe.
You obviously got my message about meeting me here.
Yeah.
You get my other messages? Yeah.
I've been caught up in my own stuff sorry.
How'd it go? Judge is going to make a decision at the end of the month.
When you met with Carroll and Ruiz, did they tell you we were being replaced? Yes.
And you didn't think to call me? I planned on telling you in person.
They want us to walk away.
Yeah, well, I'm not built like that.
I don't think you are, either.
We've got a week left to finish what we started here.
Cory says he saw Arlen kill Joey Campbell.
I want to make sure our witness is legit.
Why wouldn't he be? Deputy Brooks told me about an unrelated case where a witness lied for Pastor Janae.
Want to make sure the same thing isn't happening with Cory.
So I'm thinking I'll talk to him one-on-one.
Makes sense.
I'll get on my computer, start digging.
Hey, Doreen.
- Hey, Daniel you wanted to talk? - Yeah.
- Here.
- That's okay.
Robbie left me a message.
Evidently he doesn't want me to go to his academy graduation.
What? Wait, he said that? He blames me for you and I splitting up.
No, you're the reason he wanted to be a cop in the first place.
He's angry, but I'll talk to him.
Maybe you could tell him that you're the one that wanted out.
Am I? Because we both agree that you're married to this job.
I'm where you went when you couldn't be with the one you love.
He's being held for destruction of city property, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
His bond is set at $10,000.
There ain't no way you could just release him to me? I'll make sure he come to court.
Bond or juvenile detention.
You will not take my son away from me.
Not this one.
Next, please.
No, ain't no next, ain't no next.
I got next.
What if I shocked you and said I'd retire? For what? For us.
For us not to sign the paper.
(Shameeka shouting angrily outside) Just give me one second.
- SHAMEEKA: But I'm not scared of you.
- OFFICER: You should probably go home before you get yourself in trouble.
SHAMEEKA: What more can you do to me? Huh? What's worse than what you already done? I am not leaving here without my son.
His name's Shawn Marcellus Campbell.
PLATT: Ms.
Campbell? May I speak with you, please, ma'am? OFFICER: Next, please.
I can only imagine what you've been through these past few weeks, but your son, he helped destroy a police vehicle, and he could have hurt one of my deputies.
Hurt one of your deputies? Governor Eamons sat in my living room, Sheriff Platt.
Said if there was anything she could ever do for me that I shouldn't hesitate to call.
I've lost one son.
I don't have it in me to lose another one.
And I think I think there's enough attention on your department right now without me bringing more.
You all right? I'm fine, I'm fine, Mom.
Have you lost your damn mind? What the hell were you thinking? Don't you know they could have killed you? Does that mean anything to you? What difference does it make if they kill me now or later, huh? I'm done doing it your way.
Oh, so you grown now, huh, is that it? You have no idea what it's like to be me.
You don't even know how it was for Joey, do you? PRESTON: I need you to be straight with me.
- I will.
- Did you see Arlen Cox kill Joey Campbell, or was that some story that Pastor Janae fed you? On my momma, I'd never lie for Pastor Janae.
Obstruction of justice will land you in federal prison, Cory.
You're telling me you never met with her? She was trying to recruit me for The Hands.
I told her I wasn't with it, and she left me alone after that.
- And what about you? - What about me? You lost your job a couple months back, right? Chosen House been footing some of the bills for you, maybe you felt indebted.
Why are we even talking about this? Did you tell your boy to lie and say it was Arlen? Man, hell no.
My son is risking his life for this.
He said what he saw.
Now, that's why we don't trust none of y'all.
You got a eyewitness in front of you.
How many more do you need? (sighs) (phone buzzing) ASHE (on voicemail): This is Ashe leave it here.
(doorbell rings) Pres.
Hey.
What's up? - You busy? - No, man.
I'm just cooking, watching some game film.
You mean picking apart your plays? Yeah, something like that.
(chuckles) Man, glad to see the money hasn't gone to your head.
Yeah, good looks, talent, maybe.
But money? Mm nah.
So, how's your partner? She back on her meds yet? Don't say that.
Oh, damn, baby bro, you hitting it? No.
Good, 'cause she way too much for you anyway.
Look, I, um I got a favor to ask you.
What kind of favor? I need ten G's.
Cash.
I can't tell you what it's for, and I have no idea if I'll be able to pay you back.
But I need you to come through for me.
Big face hundreds work? This customer service? - Yes, ma'am.
How can I help you? - Good, 'cause I ordered a pair of shoes that should have been delivered here this morning.
- Do you have the order number? - (knocking at door) Wait, hold on a second.
Who the hell are you? I'm Shirlane Woods, with the Gate Newspaper.
Can I have a few minutes of your time, please? For what? Your account of what happened to Joey Campbell.
You got the wrong person.
I don't know anything about that boy.
Still got amnesia? I know that you witnessed his murder.
SHIRLANE: I will give you $10,000 for the story.
KIANA: You have no idea what you're asking me to do.
Your name will never be mentioned.
This is a one-time offer it expires when I walk away.
(indistinct chatter) Right here.
Can you explain this to me? Why did a young man lie about witnessing a drug dealer murder someone? He recanted his testimony.
The report says he lied.
I say he was intimidated.
What was the nature of your relationship? One of The Hands told me that a kid who was trying to do the right thing was scared.
We told him we could protect him.
He didn't agree.
And how are you connected to the drug dealer? I have no connections to drug dealers outside of getting them the hell out of my community.
By any means necessary? Anything else? Did you give Cory a story about Arlen Cox shooting Joey Campbell? Why would I do that? Maybe you see his new correctional facility as a threat to your community.
Mr.
Cox was good enough to take me to dinner a few nights ago.
He encouraged me to join his board of directors and get a paid position so that I wouldn't speak out against his prison.
Needless to say, I declined.
Maybe it's him who sees me as a threat.
What the hell am I doing here? We have some questions about Pastor Janae.
Pastor Janae.
Well, Pastor Janae's endgame is the same as any preacher who turns to being a political pundit money.
How's that? I met with her the other night.
I offered her a seat on my board of directors, and she refused.
Maybe she didn't want to be in your pocket.
Kind of hard to speak out against injustice when you're on the payroll.
Uh-huh.
After she declined, she demanded a cash donation, which she called "reparation.
" And I refused.
PRESTON: And how'd she take that? You'd have to ask her.
Is it fair to say you don't care much for her because she's a detractor? Oh, I'm the head of an international conglomerate.
Detractors come with the territory.
Any one of your detractors ever accuse you of murder? No.
This interview is over.
You know, when I first talked to Sheriff Platt, I told him that I would be happy to assist you in your investigation.
However, I think I misjudged you.
What I took as an intensity for the truth turns out to be the desperation of a man who is in over his head.
And after the recent events here, my town, and especially the families of those two poor deceased boys, we deserve better.
We have an eyewitness that says they saw you murder Joey Campbell.
Is it safe to assume that if you had full confidence in this witness, that I wouldn't be walking out of this room like I am right now? Hold up.
Hold up! We got a week left, and you're being soft? Soft? That was embarrassing.
What'd you think he was gonna say? He's gonna use the information you just gave him to insulate himself even more.
Yeah, well, at least I'm doing something.
You haven't been focused since you got off the damn plane.
Don't question me.
It's not just your name and reputation on this thing.
(cell phone ringing) Preston Terry.
Hey, it's Shirlane.
I just spoke to Kiana.
Where are I'm from the Department of Justice.
I'm looking for Shirlane Woods car accident.
She's being prepped for emergency surgery.
How bad is she hurt? Head trauma and internal bleeding.
Her personal effects are a part of an ongoing federal investigation where are they? This would be more productive if you'd tell me what we're looking for.
No phone, no recorder, no notes.
This wasn't an accident.
The lieutenant governor can attend the event in Wilmington.
SARAH: I suggest we videoconference you in to make a brief statement.
The donors will understand, but it's a nice gesture.
Okay, set it up.
You finish your math? Doing chem now.
I got invited to a pizza party tonight.
On a school night? What's the occasion? My classmates are watching for the riots, in case they start back up.
For entertainment purposes? The young and entitled.
Mom, did you really send in a tank? A tactical vehicle.
And yes, we've dispatched other departments to help maintain order as well.
Hopefully, your friends won't have too much of a party.
They're not my friends.
I'm one of the few kids that thinks this is insane.
Mom, you're literally occupying a section of Gate Station that's populated with poor people.
Some of the people who are rioting are not even from Gate Station.
I'm trying to protect those poor people from a handful of troublemakers who'd like to destroy all that community has.
Well, it looks like you're being a bully.
I'm sure it does.
Um is this the worst time you've ever had being governor? Your granddad used to stress the importance of legacy what will you leave behind? It's possible that all I've accomplished will be overshadowed by the death of these two young men.
Well, your legacy isn't just about your job.
I'm your legacy, too.
And you're a great mom.
(children laughing) Hey, hey, hey, hey, come on, come on, come on, come on, get off the couch.
Acting like you ain't got no home training.
And pick up these toys like I said.
Okay, all right, all right, stop.
Look at me do what Daddy told you.
- CHILD: I'm going to get you! - CHILD: Back up! (thud) CHILD: Ow Ow! Hey, listen, get up.
What did I say? Didn't I tell you to stop? Look at this.
What the hell is your damn problem? What's wrong with you, boy? What the hell are you doing? - It's okay.
- It is not okay.
- These boys are going to listen to me.
- Not like that! You have a problem with the way that I discipline my kids? Yeah, I do, when you're drinking in the middle of the day and snatching them up.
We are not that kind of family.
My sons are not going to disrespect me, and you are not going to undermine my authority in my house.
Authority? I'll follow when you are capable of leading.
Because right now, I don't know who the hell you are.
Where are you going? This way.
Kerry! Kerry! KIARA: Nobody was crying for me in The Houses.
Six of us living in a two bedroom, one bath.
And now that I'm trying to do better for myself, y'all are up my ass.
3K a month for rent and a brand new car.
My new man got money.
Whatever they're paying you to keep quiet is the same thing they can pay to make you disappear.
Anything you think I know won't bring him back.
Is it true what they say? Joey was calling for Shameeka? "Somebody call my moms, somebody call my moms.
" Look, I'm out The Houses, and whatever happens there ain't my business.
There's a young woman in surgery fighting for her life.
There's a young man in protective custody afraid for his, and then there's Joey Campbell.
It has nothing to do with me.
Where's the 10K Shirlane gave you? I don't know what you talking about.
Nobody gave me any money.
Oh, you don't know what I'm talking about? No.
KIANA: What the hell are you doing? Where is it? KIANA: Stop it! - Please, stop! - Where is it? Preston! This is a waste of time.
She doesn't know anything.
(tires squealing) (engine revving) (exhales sharply) A federal prosecutor bribing a witness gets you disbarred and a six-by-nine in Leavenworth.
I'd prefer not to join you.
Join me? I got the idea from you.
Getting info isn't always fresh and clean, remember? You've got to know the rules in order to break them.
You should have given me a heads-up.
You checked out on me.
Feel like I'm all on my own in this.
Now you know how I feel.
I've been carrying your ass since you got to Gate Station.
Carrying me? I don't think so.
But you did get me to trust you.
And now we're being sent home.
What if there's nothing here? Ever think of that? What if Jesse did go for Beck's gun? If it weren't for that "cracker" video blowing up, we'd probably be home by now.
Kiana never told us what she saw.
And I'm willing to bet that she saw Arlen kill Joey just like Cory did.
We're supposed to ignore that? Kiana's in the wind.
Let the new team coming in worry about her.
- So you just want us to cut our losses? - Yep.
Fine, yeah, let's do that.
As soon as you tell me what the hell happened to my partner.
You want to see me, boss? Sit down.
How was your car ride with Eamons yesterday? Awkward.
Not someplace I ever expected to be.
Well, I'm sure it was intoxicating.
Not for me, sir.
She asked about The Tours.
What'd you say? I said that if I ever felt there was something wrong, I would have come straight to you.
All the fancy dinners, small talk with the bigwigs, it's not a world you'd be comfortable in.
(laughs) Besides, under the gaze of the spotlight, the real you eventually comes out.
OFFICER (on bullhorn): Attention! Those of you standing in the middle of the street, you are unlawfully assembled.
We can't even bring our babies out here, right? They got the police down here like we criminals, right? Get your people down here! Get your people down here! Come on! Tell your people to come down here! Joey was the last one.
It ain't going down like that no more! OFFICER (on bullhorn): For your own safety, disperse and return to your homes immediately.
MAN: We ain't going nowhere! We ain't going nowhere! MAN (on bullhorn): Disperse and return to your homes immediately! I ain't going nowhere! - Hey! - I live here! You go home, crooked-ass cop! What you going to do, you going to take us all to jail? Take me first.
And I promise you on everything I love, I'm gonna make it hurt.
Let's go! OFFICER: Ready the line! He's with the DOJ give him a minute.
You want to give them a reason to beat you down? Arrest you in the middle of the street? And then what, huh? Bro, don't even come at me with that.
I know who you are.
You ain't nothing but the white man's puppet.
(crowd assenting) You want to give them an excuse to hurt you, then that's on you.
But I'm telling you right now, man to man I'm telling all of you I'm going to find out who killed Joey Campbell.
MAN: Yeah, right.
Come on.
And I'm going to find out what happened to Jesse.
And once the truth is out there for everyone to see, we can change things.
This town, this legacy of racism that you're saying no to, I'm also saying no.
I promise you, I'm going to fix this.
I swear to you all.
Maybe I came to Gate Station as a puppet but I'm not leaving as one.
It's on you, then.
MAN: Let's see if you're gonna do what you say.
WOMAN: We'll see.
(crowd murmuring) What happens if you can't deliver on your promise? Our promise.
The hell are you doing? Turn that thing off, damn it! TOMMY: Yo, your pops is a real badass.
- Yeah, he has his moments.
- This is crazy.
We're looking like Ferguson.
For real, Dad, I knock on your door before I come barging in.
It's called privacy.
Your door is attached to my house.
What, you think we're making out in here with Mom ten feet away in the kitchen? Were you? Whoa, Coach B, I would never come at Tess like that.
Y'all are like family.
We were just watching your video on YouTube.
You're a hero.
I'm not a hero, Tommy, I'm just doing my damn job.
TESS: You are a hero, Dad.
Doesn't matter what your job is.
So just get used to it, okay? Leave the door open.
We live to do what we love, no matter the danger, wherever it takes us.
(phone beeps) All right, let's go, guys another rally at the mural.
Make sure any pics or videos are saved in the vault app.
It's a long shot We've already been through his personal computer and all the media on his cell phone.
Maybe not all of it.
That doc crew on the street had their phones automatically set up to hide media from the police or anyone they think might want to confiscate their footage.
Same thing teens do to hide sexting and pics from their parents.
It could be in the calendar app or calculator.
Great, po-po.
Oh, my God.
This is it.
Check this out.
- You lost, boy? - No, sir.
BECK: What are you doing in this neighborhood? JESSE: Why did you pull me over? Because you don't look right.
I didn't realize it was illegal to be in this part of town.
Depends on what you're doing here.
I came for some fried chicken.
License and registration.
JESSE: What I didn't do anything.
BECK: License and registration now.
- Get out.
- I'm sorry.
I'm sorry, all right? - Get out of the car! - (grunts) (gunshots) (truck brakes screech) JESSE (on video): What I didn't do anything.
BECK (on video): License and registration now.
- BECK: Get out.
- JESSE: I'm sorry.
- I'm sorry, all right? - BECK: Get out of the car! (gunshots) What this proves is that Beck was having a bad day.
It doesn't make him a murderer.
It makes him a liar.
He pulled Jesse's door open, which is a pretty glaring detail he neglected to include in his statement.
We're gonna need him back in the box ASAP.
And while we're at it, we have some follow-up questions for you and your deputies regarding The Tours.
I heard this was your last week.
Going out with a bang? Might as well.
DISPATCHER: Gate Station Command, Gate Station Command, over.
Gate Station, go ahead.
DISPATCHER: The warrants have been signed, Sheriff, and the units are moving into position.
Copy that, show me en route.
Well, since you're on a roll, I think the two of you should come with me.
Ooh, yeah Yeah Oh A fight against time and what we are meant to be Pursuing our legacy while creating these memories Listen, seek the truth dropping juice Like it's lemonade Download to your database Now listen, let's demonstrate Believe enough to get the message Lead with an open mind so you can feel protected Speak to my heart, speak to my heart Speak to my heart We are here to learn from each other We are here, these words from our mothers Sisters and brothers, persuasion by TV You ain't beneath me - Watch for the enemy - Don't forget we are We are the same, you hear that purple rain Why am I not surprised to see you here, Brother Terry? MAN: What did she do, man? PLATT: We were tipped off about the weapon.
She's being charged with the murder of Joey Campbell.
Speak to my heart I need you to speak Speak to my heart Speak to my heart, speak to my heart
