- [alarm wails]
- [woman 1] Just breathe.
[whimpering]
- [Adde] We're gonna die.
- [woman 2] Calm down.
- [Adde] We're gonna die!
- Adde, we're gonna be okay. It's okay.
- Please, someone!
- [woman 2] Sh!
- I can't breathe!
- [woman 2] Be quiet.
[Adde] They're gonna kill us!
They're gonna kill us.
- [thudding]
- [Adde] It's them!
[woman 2] Why aren't the police coming?
Why aren't the police coming?
[Adde] Because we're hostages.
Or the police
would have been here a long time ago.
[alarm continues]
Damn it.
[whimpering continues]
[thudding]
[thudding]
[workers gasp]
[Adde gasps] They're coming in!
[whimpering continues]
[officer 1] Police! Open the door!
Pass your ID cards under the door.
[officer 2] Police! Open the door!
- [woman 1] Do what they ask!
- [man] Give them my ID! Alina, take it!
[woman 3] Those people are not the police,
okay? No, they're not!
- [woman 4] Give them the cards!
- Just hold on to it.
- It's not the police.
- [woman 4] We have no choice.
- [officer 1] Open the door, now!
- They're not the police.
Everyone, just chill.
Calm down, relax, relax. We're okay.
- Don't worry. We're okay.
- [officer 1] One, two, three!
- [alarm wails louder]
- [officer 1] Everybody, down!
[officer 2] Get on the ground!
On the ground!
[workers scream]
- Police!
- [officer 1] On the ground! Now!
[officer 2] You get on the ground
right now. Quiet! Sit down!
- [officer 1] Hands up! Hands up!
- [officer 2] Get down now!
[dramatic music plays]
[music subsides]
[helicopter blades whir]
[music fades]
[helicopter grows louder]
[Nicke] Go, go, go!
- [Zoran] Incredible work.
- Thanks.
Hey!
Bro, you're amazing!
- You rule!
- Yeah?
- You hear me? You rule!
- Thanks.
Okay, listen to me. Look at me.
You're gonna fly the helicopter to where?
- Kanaan beach, right away.
- Kanaan beach, okay?
Those guys will meet you there, and that's
where you'll ditch the helicopter.
- Absolutely!
- Okay, those guys'll have your back.
- Okay?
- Yeah.
- Be cool and stay safe, all right?
- Yeah.
Yeah? Good.
Here, take that!
[suspenseful music plays]
[Zoran] Get in!
- [Michel] Go, go, go!
- [Zoran] Get in!
[Michel] Drive, drive, drive!
[car engine roars]
[suspenseful music continues]
[breathes deeply]
[helicopter blades whir]
[suspenseful music continues]
[music fades]
Okay.
They will meet you.
They will meet you. They will meet you.
They will meet you.
[tense music plays]
Yes, yes, yes!
Yes!
[tense music continues]
Who is that?
There weren't supposed to be three. Why
Hey, they said There should be two!
[breathes shakily] There
There should be Hello? Hello?!
[tense music continues]
[music fades]
[dispatch] 3-0 call, going out
to all units. All units apart from 25.
We have an update
on the G4S depot robbery in Västberga.
They have fled the scene by helicopter,
uh, in the direction of Botkyrka.
That is Botkyrka.
3-0, over.
[Leonie] Hey, excuse me. Excuse me.
[reporters talk over each other]
[reporter] In what is being described
as one of the biggest robberies
in the history of Sweden,
it is still unclear
exactly how much money the robbers
[woman 1] Don't touch me!
[reporter] But speculation suggests
a record-breaking sum.
[woman 2] Here. Here, come on.
Get on the bus.
[chuckles] Jesus.
[helicopter blades whir]
Too low.
There's just houses everywhere.
Just fucking houses!
[helicopter beeps insistently]
[warning system wails]
[dramatic music plays]
[beeping and warning system continue]
Here we go. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!
[beeping continues]
RETRIEVING SATELLITES
[warning system continues blaring]
[helicopter blades whir loudly]
[beeping continues]
- [crunching]
- Fuck, fuck! [gasps]
[coughs]
[gags]
[gags]
[groans softly]
[gasps]
[tense music plays]
[music subsides]
What's going on?
What? What is it?
[quiet tense music continues]
[Michel sighs]
When'd you get that?
- Huh?
- I don't know.
You had two pairs of gloves on, right?
Okay, so you probably just got a cut from
one of the bills in the counting machine.
- Or it happened in the depot.
- Fuck, fuck.
[Michel sighs]
Fuck.
[quiet tense music continues]
Okay. Okay, listen.
It's probably nothing,
but we can't risk anything.
You have your passport with you?
Yeah? Where is it?
- In my bag.
- Okay.
[tense music continues]
This is what we'll do.
Take a bus or train down to Germany,
and hop on a flight out of Europe, okay?
What?
- What?
- My family
- I understand.
- My kids.
Rami, bro.
- Saturday's John's birthday.
- Okay, look, he'll be fine.
I'll go visit, I'll bring him a nice gift
from you. I'll make sure it's nice.
We can't be stupid.
Right?
Mm? Come here.
Just until this dies down.
It's probably nothing.
[tense music continues]
[Mats] County CID's livid
that they didn't know.
[Leonie] Well, they called it off.
Uh-huh.
There's a briefing in five minutes.
Lena wants us both to be there.
We can't deal
with internal politics right now.
I don't like it either,
but we don't know if this investigation
belongs to us or County CID.
It's ours until they force us out.
That's what we're doing.
[woman] What we just went through!
You have to let me go home!
- Who's gonna take their statements?
- County, I think.
We gotta have one of ours in there, too,
or we'll be blind.
- Are the profilers on their way?
- [Mats] Lena didn't sign off on them.
- What? Why?
- [Mats] I don't know. She just said no.
Well, what about Zoran Petrović?
We know where he is?
[Mats] No. But we have people
looking for him.
Look, I'll go to the briefing.
I'll call you after.
Okay.
[tense music plays]
- [Willner] Leonie! Hi.
- Hi.
- [Willner] So they did it.
- [Leonie] Yeah, I know.
[Willner] Looks like you were right. What
does it say about who we're dealing with?
[Leonie] That they have
a massive weakness.
- [Willner] Which is?
- Hubris.
[tense music continues]
[Willner] I'll grab a seat with your team.
- [man 1] Hamsik!
- Yeah?
The bomb squad at Myttinge
would like a word.
[Leonie] Okay.
[man 1] We also just got the CCTV footage
from the depot.
Checking it right now.
Myttinge, line three.
[Leonie] Okay.
Hi, this is Hamsik.
[man 2] They've rigged a dummy.
- Who's your commander?
- [man 2] That'd be Peter.
- Yeah, get him, I'll wait.
- [man 2] Yeah, sure.
Heed, can you get a timeline going?
Yeah, absolutely. I'm on it.
- Can I see the footage?
- [man 1] Hm.
[tense music continues]
[man 1] Doesn't look like Petrović
is in this. No one's his height.
[woman] Hamsik!
- They found the helicopter.
- Where?
Skavlöten.
- Where's that?
- [man 1] Täby.
[woman] Yeah.
Thank you.
[man on radio] So this was apparently
super organized, like Ocean's Eleven.
Although I'm trying to figure out
how many people fit into a helicopter.
I don't know if it's five or six,
something like that.
- So it's like Ocean's Six.
- [cell phone rings]
Pretty impressive!
What did I say about calling?
[man] I know, but, Zoran, he just left.
Who left? What are you telling me?
[man] The pilot, he left.
He didn't even land!
[Zoran] Well, what did he say?
Did you talk to him?
[man] No, man. He's not coming back.
He just took off!
Why didn't you tell me?
What were you waiting for?
- [man] We didn't know
- Listen to me.
I told you to call me immediately,
you stupid son of a bitch!
- Fuck!
- [banging on door]
It's me.
[tense music continues]
How'd it go?
- Good.
- [Zoran] How much is it?
[Michel] Just over 39.
- [Zoran] Thirty-nine?
- [Michel] Mm.
That's not bad.
Could've been double.
Quadruple, even.
[Zoran] It is what it is.
[Nicke] Your share.
There's one last thing, boys.
We have a problem.
[radio reporter] A helicopter
used this morning
during the robbery of a security depot
in Västberga, south of Stockholm
Hi, hi. Uh, Foresta, Lidingö. Shall we?
[driver] Okay.
[radio reporter] the area
of Skavlöten in Täby.
We'll go to Björn Engström,
press officer for the police in Stockholm.
[Engström] We're on our way out there,
to check if, um, uh,
the suspect's helicopter has landed there.
We've received tips from the public
who've seen a white helicopter
land in a place where you normally
don't land a helicopter.
[woman on radio] It was early this morning
that robbers landed a helicopter
on the roof of the security company G4S
[tense music plays]
[dog barks]
- [dog barks]
- [camera shutters click]
[dog barks]
[Leonie sniffs]
- Risky landing in this clearing.
- [Leonie] Mm.
- [man] Insanely close to the trees too.
- [Leonie] Mm.
A little weird they didn't burn it, right?
[man] Yeah, there's a lot
that's weird about this.
It seems like they were in a rush,
'cause they left behind a lot of stuff.
- [camera shutters click]
- Including a GPS.
If you want, we could open it up today
and see if they logged their escape route.
[cell phone rings]
But then we risk destroying DNA evidence.
- [cell phone continues ringing]
- No, open it and call me.
Hi, Lena.
Why can't I bring in profilers?
I don't understand.
[Lena] What do you need profilers for
at this point?
I want them
to start analyzing the phone traffic.
[Lena] Focus on the crime scenes first.
Don't get ahead of yourself.
All right, bye.
[dog barks]
- Did the dogs find anything?
- Trails going four different ways.
So the robbers must've split up, then.
That's what I thought,
but it turns out the National Task Force
was here with their dogs
before the CID got out here,
so the dogs
were sniffing each other's tracks.
[Leonie] Are you serious?
[Leonie scoffs]
[Lena] Therefore,
it was a very spectacular robbery.
There were many people involved,
so we have classified this
as a "special incident."
Several hundred officers are now involved
in the hunt for these robbers.
- [man 1] Okay, we'll take questions now.
- [reporters shout]
We'll start with Der Spiegel.
What is the reason your own helicopters
weren't able to confront or follow
the robbers?
Someone had placed what looked like a bomb
outside of the location
of where we keep our helicopters.
Was it a bomb?
Uh, no.
[reporter 1] Okay, a question here.
A question here from SVT, hello!
[reporters shout]
- [man 1] One more question, please.
- [cell phone buzzes]
- [reporter 2] Lars Petterson, Aftonbladet.
- [man 1] Yes.
We have sources saying
that law enforcement knew about the heist
before it actually took place.
Is that true?
[man 2] Hm.
Maybe you can answer that one, Lena.
Um
Well, as this is an ongoing,
high-profile investigation,
we're unable to comment at this time.
- [cell phone buzzes]
- [reporters shout]
- [Leonie] I can't talk now.
- [man] Kian's school called.
- [Leonie] What?
- [man] He has a fever.
- [Leonie] What? How high is his temp?
- [man] She didn't say. You picking him up?
Uh, well as you may have heard,
there was a heist this mor
[man] It's your turn to pick him up.
We've been over this a thousand times.
Johannes.
Listen, I know that it's my turn,
but I I can't right now.
- [Johannes sighs] Well, I can't either
- Then what?
He'll just stay
until you can get over there.
- [Johannes] I'll pick him up.
- Okay.
[tense music plays]
[Hanna] Swedgreen Energy, this is Hanna.
Hey there, Hanna.
It's, uh, Rolf Johansson calling here.
Sorry to disturb you,
but I have a meeting scheduled with
Axel Broberg coming up this afternoon,
and I've forgotten what the address is.
If you could look it up for me,
I'd really appreciate it.
[Hanna] Sure, let me see here.
Yes, looks like it's the Foresta hotel
in Lidingö, at 1 p.m.
[Zoran] Okay, thanks for your help.
Have a nice day.
[tense music continues]
[radio news anchor] Also here,
in, uh, Studio Ett,
I have Anders Holmberg in front of me.
[Holmberg] Yep, that's right,
and guess what we'll talk about at 5 p.m.
[news anchor] Well, I heard that there was
a a fun robbery happening this morning.
[Holmberg] I'm not so sure about "fun",
but of course it's about helicopters
and big weapons,
tattooed men, and what you might expect
So apparently they found the helicopter
north of the city.
[man] Really? Torched or what?
Nah. That's the weird part.
Totally untouched.
[man] A buddy of mine over at Rikskrim
says they know who did it.
[officer] Right.
[Holmberg] tattooed men,
but they couldn't make out
[radio continues indistinctly]
[officer] Excuse me, sir.
Huh?
[officer] This yours?
Yeah. Thank you, sir.
- Enjoy. Have a nice meal.
- Thanks.
[tense music continues]
power plant.
All right.
Well, that's, uh,
all I had on the agenda for today.
Thank you all so much for coming.
- [man] Thank you.
- Thanks.
[tense music continues]
[music stops]
[car lock beeps]
[sighs]
[sighs]
Hi, Axel. Look forward.
I said look forward.
So, what's up?
I heard you improvised a little.
Remember how I feel
about people who improvise?
Or did you forget?
Huh?
- What was that?
- Zoran, they
I was thinking of the plan, and um
- What about the plan?
- When I flew
When I flew out there
with the helicopter, there were
were two the two guys were there
with the boat, like it was supposed to be,
and then I saw a third guy.
- He was holding a gun.
- Okay?
- I was scared he'd shoot me, so I
- You didn't torch the helicopter?
Huh?
Did you burn your clothes, at least?
- [Zoran] Axel!
- They're in a garbage can.
[Zoran] A garbage can?
[zipper unzips]
[objects clatter lightly]
Here, draw a map.
Draw a map of where the garbage can is.
[scribbling continues]
I have a plumbing job.
Pays well.
Really, really well.
Truck stop, Vallentuna in 30.
[breathes deeply]
[car door closes]
[engine starts]
[tires screech]
[man 1] Come on. Let's go!
- Hey, has the Air Force called yet?
- No, not yet.
- [Leonie] Hm. Heed?
- Huh?
[Leonie] How's the timeline coming along?
- It's gonna take a while.
- [Leonie] Okay.
Let me know when you're done,
then we'll do the briefing.
[Heed] Okay.
- Hamsik! I got hold of the phone operator.
- Okay.
[man 2] They said it'll take a while.
There's a lot to sift through.
Tell them they need
to send the call logs now.
[man 2] You want every phone call made
in that time frame
in the entire Stockholm region?
Well, I assume
there should be far fewer calls at night.
Right, but it's still
some 20,000 calls to go through.
[Leonie] You can tell them,
if we don't have them within the hour,
we're going to raid their offices.
- [man 2] Can we do that?
- Of course we can.
[man 2] Okay.
[indistinct chatter]
[woman] So this is number 11 out of 14
from the processing floor.
Alexandra Refn,
Danish, 25 years old,
um, permanent position.
Moved here three years ago.
- Clean record?
- Yes.
[Leonie] Hm.
- Anyone else seem interesting?
- [woman] Not really.
They must've had someone on the inside.
[woman] We questioned the guards.
Even they don't know
their way around in there.
Seems to be a part of their
security strategy. It's built like a maze.
- Play it again?
- [woman] Yeah.
[man 3] Do you have any idea
who could have done this?
No.
[man 3] Not at all?
No.
[man 3] Look carefully at this list.
Do you believe anyone on this list has
acted differently in the last few days?
[suspenseful music plays]
[dog barks]
[cell phone dials]
[camera shutters click]
Oh, hey, can I bum one?
I thought you quit.
Yup.
[car door closes]
[suspenseful music continues]
[dialing continues]
[dialing continues]
[Leonie] Hi.
Looks like there's a hell of a lot of DNA
in that helicopter.
[Leonie] Could be from different people,
National Forensics have to fast-track it.
- Yep.
- [Leonie] Is County CID done with the GPS?
I have no idea. I'm heading there now.
- [Leonie] Okay.
- Hm.
[Leonie] Thanks, talk soon.
Yep.
[officer 1] No, I don't have
that information at this time.
We please ask that you address all
questions to the press liaison officers.
[suspenseful music continues]
[litter clatters]
- Hey, you. You can't be here.
- What?
- [officer 2] This is a restricted area.
- What kind of bullshit is that? Huh?
- [officer 2] What do you have in the bag?
- A couple of cans to recycle.
- [officer 2] Just get outta here.
- Yeah.
[suspenseful music continues]
[dog barks]
[music fades]
[Lena] Close the door.
Do we have the situation under control?
[Mats] Uh yes, somewhat.
Doesn't feel like we do.
People are running around
directionless out there.
And then there's you two, walking around,
talking about bringing in profilers.
What is this?
Uh, the issue out there
is that no one knows
whether the investigation
is run by the County or by us.
[Lena] The police commissioner was
perfectly clear at the press conference.
County and National
are to cooperate on this.
And we still have no idea
where Petrović is?
- No.
- [Lena] So, what do we know?
We know they had people both in the air
and on the ground.
[Lena] You're thinking of the caltrops?
Mm, so they must've had
some kind of communication.
- [Lena] Okay.
- And that's why I asked for profilers.
So we can analyze
all the cell phone traffic.
If we're able to find a phone number
that pinged somewhere
along the route of the helicopter,
we could correlate their position
But how does that lead us to the robbers?
Wouldn't they use prepaid phones?
Well, if we find the phone
that was inside the helicopter,
then we could try to map out the network
of the other phones it made calls to.
We used the same method
with Stefan Hedklint
to connect him to the pedophile ring.
[Lena] We don't even have
the flight route.
Shouldn't that be in the GPS?
County Police said no to opening the GPS,
until it's been examined visually.
- What?
- Can they do that?
Say no.
[Lena] Well, their forensic team found it.
- [groans] You're kidding me.
- [Mats laughs]
So, how many calls
would we have to comb through, anyway?
Around 20,000.
We have to dig through 20,000 phone calls?
Now? With all that's going on?
What's the alternative?
[Leonie] We don't have much else to go on.
Why don't we focus on the Serbs for now?
Over at County, they've been saying
that the caltrops were chained together
the same way they do it in the Balkans.
[Mats] Yeah, we've heard that too.
But we don't know that for sure, Lena.
[Lena] We know about a robbery
a fucking month in advance.
We have names,
surveillance around the clock,
wiretaps everywhere.
But when the robbery actually happens,
suddenly we know nothing.
[pensive music plays]
Do you not see how this looks?
[radio reporter] connection
to the robbery.
[man on radio] There were police, sirens,
ambulances. Everything, everywhere.
It was impossible
to even try to get down to Västberga.
[reporter] Yes, and you saw a helicopter
in the air. Can you tell me about that?
[man] Yeah, so I had just parked my car
and started walking
when a helicopter came flying by.
I thought it was just the police, but
[brooding music plays]
[helicopter blades whir]
[helicopter fades]
[brooding music continues]
[coins jingle]
[coins rattle]
[brooding music continues]
- [cell phone rings]
- Hello.
Hey.
How are you doing?
Anyone after you yet or?
[Michel] No. And you?
[Zoran] Gee, I I don't know.
They can't have anything on us, or they'd
have picked us up a long time ago.
[Michel] And the trouble with the pilot?
[Zoran] No, no, no. That's all set.
I brought in the cleaning company.
They cleaned up after us.
[Michel] That's good.
Was it expensive?
[sighs] It wasn't cheap.
[Michel] Okay.
Okay. I'll call you in a few days.
[Zoran] Okay. You know where to find me.
- [Michel] Take care.
- [Zoran] Bye.
[brooding music continues]
[music fades]
What are they doing at Kanaan beach?
Dropping off the cash maybe?
- Has the Air Force called back yet?
- [woman] No.
Their radar should be able
to verify the helicopter's GPS.
County CID said we can't open it
till they've visually examined it.
[sighs]
Did we get any news
from the phone operators yet?
Yes, uh, so the interesting thing is,
when I said that we were dealing
with burner phones
that were only ever used for the heist,
the operator said that they're able to see
the first time that a phone is used.
I don't know if it's legal,
but it's intriguing.
Okay, uh, can you put the phone operators
in touch with Hilding from Profiling?
- And send me those call logs.
- [man] Copy.
So we have the go-ahead
to bring in the profilers?
Yeah.
- [man] Okay!
- Great work! Nice.
- At least something is happening.
- [man laughs]
- Pizza, everybody.
- [Leonie] Mm-hmm.
- Cheers.
- [man] Cheers, cheers, cheers.
Cheers.
[tense music plays]
[scraping]
[sighing]
[tense music continues]
[objects clatter]
[tense music continues]
This was a heist right out of the movies.
A huge wad of cash,
thieves being lowered from a helicopter,
and a twist in the plot
that would make any crime writer proud.
why we did not open fire
at the helicopter, I want to be clear.
Just because criminals start acting
like they're in the movies
doesn't mean that we do.
The Swedish police will not shoot
down helicopters, simple as that.
WHERE ARE YOU? CALL!
TO: RAMI
SENDING MESSAGE
[baby cries]
FAILED
[baby continues crying]
[brooding music plays]
[Leonie] How's the list
from the Robbery Division coming along?
[woman 1] We've narrowed it down
to about 20 names.
Speaking logistically,
there's not a lot of Swedes
that could pull off
something like this. Maybe none.
Here. Write these names
on the board over there.
- Thank you.
- [woman 2] Mm.
I've also gone through everyone
on the list that holds a pilot's license.
I didn't find anything too exciting.
There's a few wife-beaters,
drug offenders, tax evaders,
but no obvious candidates.
[Axel] Hi!
- [door closes]
- [woman] Hey.
- Hey, you guys.
- [girl] Hi, Dad!
- Sorry I'm late. Hi, darlings.
- Hi!
Hey, I picked up some rib eye,
that I thought we could braise.
And a little Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
[brooding music continues]
[glasses clink]
Hi, honey. [kisses]
- [woman] You okay?
- Yeah, I'm just really tired.
- What'd you do in school today, girls?
- [girl] Math and English.
[brooding music continues]
Ljusterö.
- Didn't that come up in surveillance?
- What, that Petrović went to Ljusterö?
[brooding music continues]
[papers rustle]
[tapping on keyboard]
[brooding music continues]
[dog barks]
[dog barks]
[dog barks]
[brooding music continues]
[dog pants]
[suspenseful music plays]
[dog sniffs]
[officer 1] Jump up.
[suspenseful music continues]
[dog sniffs]
[officer 2] We've stopped a car with four
perps here. Can we get the dog here ASAP?
[officer 1] Sure, copy that.
Come on, okay.
[breathes deeply]
[brooding music plays]
THE MEN BEHIND THE HEIS
HOSTAGES TALK ABOUT THE TERROR
[brooding music continues]
[Karin shudders]
[Karin whimpers]
[Karin cries]
- I can't breathe.
- [man] Are you okay?
[baby cries]
[man] Hello! Can we get
some help over here?
[woman] Are you okay?
Ma'am, are you okay?
Thank you.
[Karin cries]
[baby cries]
[brooding music continues]
[music fades]
[man 1] There you are. Someone
from Surveillance is looking for you.
- [Leonie] Would you like milk or sugar?
- I'm fine with black.
- [Leonie] Okay.
- Thanks.
It's been a little different
with Petrović.
He's on the go 24/7,
meeting people, making calls,
on three or four different phones.
Keeping track of who he's talking to
or been seeing was impossible.
But when you emailed me,
I remembered something.
Petrović drove up to Skeppsholmen.
I couldn't get too close, unfortunately,
but I saw that he was there with two men.
I couldn't hear what they were saying.
But when I saw one of them leave, I ran
his plate through the system out of habit.
Okay.
It was registered to a woman in Ljusterö.
Vanna Andersson.
She works in land registration.
I decided to leave it be until you emailed
me about that guy Broberg from Ljusterö.
So I looked this woman up again,
and as it turns out,
her last name used to be Broberg.
[suspenseful music plays]
Tamas, do you have passport photos
of the pilots with prior convictions?
Yeah, they're somewhere Ah!
[Leonie] Thanks.
Are any of these the man you saw?
[suspenseful music continues]
[woman] That's him.
[suspenseful music continues]
Get surveillance on him right away.
Axel Broberg.
[man 1] Axel Broberg.
[man 2] Where's he from?
[man 1] Let's find him. Check the address.
Okay.
[suspenseful music continues]
[music fades]
