CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Yes! Wonderful stuff.
Welcome to The Masked Singer! Thanks, guys.
Head on off.
Tonight is the semi-final.
AUDIENCE: Whoo! Only three of our talented bunch will make it through to next week's final, which means two celebrities will be unmasked tonight.
AUDIENCE: Whoo! I still do not know who our celebs are.
Luckily, I know four people who can help.
It's my Sherlock Homies.
APPLAUSE Thank you.
Yeah, we did it.
A man who's shunned normal life in an office to spend his life sat behind a desk.
It's Jonathan Ross.
Hello, everyone.
How are you doing? She has a certain aura about her.
Mainly her surname.
It's Rita Ora.
APPLAUSE I ripped my leotard this morning doing one of her workouts.
It's Davina McCall.
APPLAUSE Thank you.
It's like he's never been away.
It's comedy legend Ken Jeong.
APPLAUSE He's back.
I missed you guys.
I missed you.
I missed you.
And you.
Hi, Jonathan.
I missed everybody.
I really have.
We all missed you very much, Ken.
Thank you.
Rita, you've guessed two celebrities correctly.
I have.
You know what? I am the reigning champion right now.
CHEERING Congratulations.
Rita took my phone and changed her name so when she calls me, it says Best Detective.
LAUGHTER Rubbing it in.
Our panel, everybody.
APPLAUSE Tonight, our five celebrities will perform and the studio audience will vote for their favourite.
The celebrity with the least votes will be unmasked.
The remaining four will perform again and the studio audience will vote for the second time, leaving three to go through to the final.
AUDIENCE: Ooh! There are clues everywhere.
Especially in the VTs.
Parts of these films feature stunt doubles.
Let's get some clues about our first celeb.
IMITATES ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER: Arnie was The Terminator.
But who is the hibernator? Here's Hedgehog.
In my last performance, I impressed the studio audience and they chose to vote me through to the semi-final.
And I would do anything For love.
I do so enjoy hearing the panel's guesses.
Phillip Schofield.
Brian McFadden.
John Bishop.
But I can't wait to hear who they think I am tonight.
Sometimes, in this business they call show, it's difficult to find your way.
MUSIC: 'The Wanderer' by Dion There's times you can feel lost and all you want to do is curl up into a big ball.
He's really been lost in life.
Maybe it's someone who's changed profession.
Speaking of finding my way .
.
my work takes me from venue to venue.
He's a comedian.
100%.
Or a singer, gigging.
You're always on the go.
One night I can be playing to an intimate audience, the next, 12,000 people.
I think this is a fake posh accent.
Possibly.
I'm enjoying The Masked Singer and the costume helps to hide my dad dancing.
I can be a bit like David Brent on the dancefloor.
MUSIC: 'Disco Inferno' by The Trammps Tonight, I'm hoping to impress once again and I hope I'll see you in the final.
APPLAUSE AND CHEERING MUSIC: 'Chandelier' by Sia # Party girls don't get hurt # Can't feel anything # When will I learn? I push it down, I push it down Wow! # I'm the one for a good time call # Phone's blowin' up # Ringin' my doorbell # I feel the love, I feel the love # One, two, three, One, two, three, drink One, two, three, One, two, three, drink.
Sounds so different every time he's sung.
# Throw em back till I lose count I'm gonna swing Not bad.
# From the chandelier # I'm gonna live # Like tomorrow doesn't exist # Like it doesn't exist # I'm gonna fly # Like a bird through the night Feel my tears as they dry Yes, Hedgehog! # I'm gonna swing # From the chandelier # And I'm holding on for dear life # Won't look down, Won't open my eyes # Keep my glass full Until morning light Cos I'm just holding on For tonight.
APPLAUSE AND CHEERING CROWD CHANTS: Hedgehog, Hedgehog! Hedgehog, Hedgehog.
Jonathan, what did you think? What a great start to the show.
Whoever that is, you have great range.
There's a kind of There is a confidence in that.
I think it might be Michael Ball in there, ladies and gentlemen.
I really do.
A lot of people agree with you here, Jonathan.
The speaking voice sounds so posh.
But now I think you might be disguising your voice.
I'm thinking somebody Northern, possibly.
An actor who could be a comedian, somebody like John Thomson.
Oh! I think John Thomson can sing.
Through your VT, you said small crowd.
And then you said loads of people.
Obviously, comedians Big crowds.
They play stadiums.
Big crowds and they do stadiums and arenas and stuff.
I think you are 100% a comedian of some sort.
It's a comedian who's gone into singing.
There's a lot of guys who have had hits like that.
Bradley Walsh, of course, we know first for his comedy and TV.
That is a name that I think.
Didn't he have an album out? He can definitely sing.
I know exactly who this is.
He's back.
This has been so easy.
Ken's back! All the clues finally make sense.
Hedgehog is obviously a comedian.
Especially when he's referencing David Brent.
That makes me think it could be somebody from The Office.
Maybe Mackenzie Crook who played Gareth on The Office.
He has the same stature.
It all fits.
Welcome to The Masked Singer, baby.
APPLAUSE Well, we'll let you know who's in the interior of this harmful exterior once the mask comes off.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Hedgehog.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Good performance.
Definitely.
'Our panel think one of these celebs is hidden within the Hedgehog.
'But what do you think?' Are they close? This hedgehog is not telling.
Let's go fishing for some clues about our next celeb.
They never lose a tickle fight.
It's Octopus.
In my last performance, I sang my heart out.
# Don't want to give my heart away To a total stranger.
But I think the panel were a little confused.
CHUCKLES Sheree Murphy.
Patsy Kensit.
Charlotte Church.
Heather Mills.
There we go.
I have been very fortunate to perform for all sorts of people.
From pensioners to royalty.
So, she's had an amazing career so far.
I love nothing better than songs of joy.
Like a gospel song.
Church.
There's nothing like the sound of a choir in a beautiful choral venue.
But be careful, my voice has been known to bring the house down.
Literally.
So, a building has collapsed when she's been singing.
Tonight, it's the semi-final and I'm so excited, I want to throw my arms in the air.
All eight of them.
CHUCKLES CHEERING AND APPLAUSE I am really, really, really in the dark with Octopus.
MUSIC: 'Somewhere' by Barbara Streisand # There's a place for us # Somewhere a place for us # Peace and quiet # And open air Wait for us somewhere Who is this? # There's a time # For us # Someday there'll be a time for us # Time together # With time to spare # Time to learn # Time to care # Someday # Somewhere # We'll find a new way of living # We'll find a way # Of forgiving # Somewhere There's a place for us What an amazing range.
That's so low.
# A time and a place for us # Hold my hand And we're halfway there # Hold my hand And I'll take you there # Someday # Somehow Somewhere.
HOLDS NOTE CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Brought the house down, again.
Whoo! Octopus, everybody.
Yeah! Honestly, the best performance of the series.
It was amazing.
By far.
Here's what I've been getting wrong this whole time.
I thought you were some sort of model.
But you are 100% an actual opera, musical theatre singer.
APPLAUSE Maybe you could be Katherine Jenkins.
Good guess.
But did you see how excited she was at the end of that performance? She was like, "I nailed it!" Katherine Jenkins would just go, "Yeah, this is what I do.
" Which makes me think that potentially she is not a trained opera singer.
So, I am going with Kym Marsh.
Drop the mic.
Nice, nice.
I know exactly who this is.
Here we go.
You start out in a church choir.
All about songs about joy, positivity.
And obviously opera trained, all right.
This is clearly Charlotte Church.
Yes! Exactly! No, no, no.
Absolutely not.
Now, here's the thing.
Going back to my guess the other night, I really think I've nailed you, Octopus.
We've been following the clues and if you remember, we saw a picture of Jason Donovan.
This is a person who's been in Neighbours.
OK? She's been in Emmerdale because there was a clue about Wellington boots.
"You could wear them in the Dales.
" There was an episode of Emmerdale when a plane crashed on a house and literally brought the house down.
AUDIENCE: Oh! What? Inside at the time was my guess, I'm naming this now, I'm sticking with this till the end.
Sheree Murphy from Emmerdale.
That's who's in that suit, I'm telling you.
If it isn't, I'll eat every one of those tentacles.
Deep-fried, they'll be delicious.
If you get it wrong? If I get it right or wrong, I'm going to eat that octopus.
LAUGHTER I love calamari.
Well, we'll only know the face under the facade once the mask comes off.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Octopus.
Amazing.
The best performance ever.
'Our panel think one of these four celebrities 'is behind the eight arms.
But what do you think?' I was totally taken aback when Ken said it was the best performance of the series.
I don't think I could hide my excitement.
GIDDY CHUCKLE We've still got loads to come in this electrifying semi-final.
But it won't be long before our first famous face is revealed.
Who's that behind the mask? Welcome back to The Masked Singer.
The show all the stars are on the guess list.
Guess list.
Don't forget, tonight we will be revealing two famous faces.
But who are they? I think we need some more clues.
Let's start thinking more outside the fox.
Baby, you're a firework.
Last time, the panel mentioned a few names.
Louise Redknapp.
Billie Piper.
Sara Cox.
Denise van Outen.
But the panel threw this fox a bone Fox.
.
.
and gave me a second chance to dazzle.
Wow! So, here I am.
And feeling foxier than ever.
I didn't expect to get this far.
And now we are this close to the final, I can almost taste it.
Want to know who I am? Sweetie, I'm not going to spill the tea just yet.
Although I do love a good British cuppa.
Maybe she has her tea in a drama.
Maybe she's in EastEnders or something? Time to take a swing into this week Maybe it's someone who plays golf, a lady golfer? .
.
and put my all into my next song.
Hot tramp I love you so.
CHEERING Good luck, Foxy MUSIC: 'Holding Out For A Hero' # Ooh-ooh-ooh ooh # Ah-ah! # Where have all the good men gone? # And where are all the gods? # Where's the streetwise Hercules # To fight the rising odds? # Isn't there a white knight Get it, Fox.
# Upon a fiery steed? # Late at night I toss and I turn # And I dream of what I need # I need a hero # I'm holding out for a hero Till the end of the night # And he's got to be strong And he's got to be fast # And he's got to be Fresh from the fight # I need a hero # I'm holding out for a hero Till the morning light # And he's gotta be sure And it's gotta be soon # And he's gotta be larger than life # Larger than life # Up where the heavens meet The mountains above # And the storm and the flood # I can feel his approach Like a fire in my blood Perfectly in tune.
Yeah.
# I need a hero # I'm holding out for a hero Till the end of the night # And he's gotta be strong And he's gotta be fast # And he's gotta be Fresh from the fight # I need a hero # I'm holding out for a hero Till the morning light # And he's gotta be sure And it's gotta be soon # And he's gotta be larger than life I need a hero.
CHEERING Foxy! Wow.
CHEERING That was amazing.
Give it up for Fox, everybody! Rita, that was amazing, right? Oh, Fox, you really didn't like being in the bottom two, did you? You came back blazing.
You've obviously got a lot of experience in performing.
You have all these East End clues so I think EastEnders or something like that.
Maybe, wild card, Martine McCutcheon.
Great shout.
I know.
She sings.
I think you are on the right track, because there are many fine performers who did stage work while in EastEnders.
I'm gonna go for Tamzin Outhwaite.
CHEERING I think that's a great shout.
We're in the same world.
The same world, absolutely.
Davina, do you agree? So, I'm thinking somebody who's really stage experienced.
My heart is telling me Denise van Outen, we have mooted around before.
I know exactly Here we go.
.
.
who this is.
Again, this game is so easy, if you just put your mind to it.
Someone who is an amazing musical stage actor, someone like, I don't know, Elaine Paige maybe.
Even though I know she starred in Cats, but this was the only outfit available, think about that.
Fox, Cat, there's a golf club at the end.
Little-known fact, look it up, Elaine Paige is a golf nut.
True story.
Seriously.
You should hear her yell "fore".
It's amazing.
It's like # Fore! Exactly.
Elaine Paige, congratulations on another bravura performance.
APPLAUSE We'll only find out the face under the Fox once the mask is removed.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Fox.
# What does the fox say? So good, so good.
She really brought it.
Yeah.
What does the Fox say? 'So, who is behind the mirrored mask? 'On reflection, do you think our panel are right?' The panel think they are getting closer to guessing me but they are still "fore" way off the mark.
It's difficult to identify this next celeb, but I'm getting swarmer.
It's Queen Bee.
CHEERING I was in heaven in my last performance.
I love to be out on that stage.
Princess Beatrice.
Paloma Faith.
Jade from Little Mix.
Tonight is the semi-final, and I'll do anything to Heidi my real identity.
I'm having such a good time, I feel like I've found my joi de vivre.
Joi de vivre, speaking French.
French, got it.
A relative once told me that Marie Antoinette was my ancestor.
French royal family.
Maybe that's why I feel like France is my spiritual home.
I'd love to spend my days there, perhaps reading.
Or writing.
She's quite cultured.
She loves France.
.
Maybe I should stick to England for now.
French isn't a language I speak.
Oh, she doesn't speak French.
Although I do hope I can make you go "ooh, la-la" with my performance tonight.
DING CHEERING # I believe that Children are our future # Teach them well And let them lead the way # Show them All the beauty they possess # Inside # Give them a sense of pride I know this voice.
# To make it easier # Let the children's laughter I know this voice.
# Remind us how we used to be # I decided long ago # Never to walk In anyone's shadow Got a beautiful voice.
# If I fail, if I succeed, At least I'll live as I believe # No matter what they take from me # They can't take away my dignity # Because the greatest # Love of all # Is happening to me # I've found the greatest # Love of all inside of me # I found the greatest love # Of all Yeah.
# Is easy to achieve # Learning to love yourself # That is the greatest love of all # And if by chance That special place # That you've been dreaming of # Leads you to a lonely place Find your strength in love.
HOLDS FINAL NOTE CHEERING Yes! Queen Bee, everybody! CHEERING Jonathan, what did you think? This is a crazy theory.
But here you go.
Queen Bee, Cardi B, ladies and gentlemen.
What about the French clues in the VT? Has she been on Who Do You Think You Are? and discovered that she has French heritage? She could be actually someone from the royal family.
Last time you said Princess Beatrice.
I genuinely think it could be her.
Everyone is gonna laugh at me, but you never know.
She could be a bumblebee.
It would be so great if she took costume off and then she had another crown underneath.
I feel like you're young.
I feel like you're in maybe your twenties or thirties.
That's young to me, Rita.
I feel like you are maybe a quieter member of a girl band.
I'm gonna go Jesy from Little Mix.
Jesy from Little Mix.
Yes, Ken.
I know exactly Ah, here we go.
Thank goodness.
.
.
who this is.
Here we go.
It's all about the clues.
Bee? Queen Bee? France.
Jodie Comer of Killing Eve.
Playing a French character.
Like "Villanueva" or something like that.
Think about it.
Bee, killer bee, Killing Eve.
APPLAUSE Jodie Comer, honey comb .
.
er.
It all fits, Jodie Comer.
You killed it tonight.
Thank you.
APPLAUSE Well, we'll let him know who's buzzing around in there once the mask comes off.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Queen Bee.
CHEERING Queen Bee, great job.
'When it's off with her head, 'who do you think the Queen will really bee?' I think the panel are dangerously close to guessing who I am.
Keeping a secret is a full-blown mission.
I think we need some more clues about our next celeb.
They've been causing quite a stir.
A mon-stir.
I'm only human after all.
Last time I proved to be a monster hit with the panel.
Anthony Anderson.
will.
i.
am.
CeeLo Green.
Tom Jones.
Monster is having too much of a good time to go home now.
I love to dress up and look good.
Why? Cos I'm all about the showmanship.
It's all a costume.
He loves to dress up.
Is it an actor? Costumes aren't just for Halloween.
Although I have been linked to vampires and mummies.
Vampires and mummies? What is that? Everything I do is an extension of the artistry and the individuality.
And I hope it brings people as much joy as it does me.
CHEERING Monster! Monster! Monster! MUSIC: 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?' # Give me time # To realise my crime # Let me love and steal Yes.
# Do you really want to hurt me # Do you really want to make me cry? # Precious kisses Words that burn me # Love is never asking why # In my heart a fire is burning # Pick my colour, find a star # Precious people always tell me # That's a step, a step too far # If it's love you want from me # Then take it away # Everything is not what you see Such a beautiful voice, so clear.
# It's over again.
# Do you really want to hurt me? # Do you really want to make me cry? # Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really Want to make me cry? Yes! CHEERING Monster, everyone! Monster, you "blue" us away.
Jonathan, what did you think? Amazing performance.
It's a great pop song, but you gave it a real soul as well, didn't he? It really connected with everyone in here, I think.
I think it is an American person.
Another clue in there was the vampires and the mummies clue.
Now, I know an actor who can sing.
He was in a recent movie about the Mummy.
He was in Interview With The Vampire.
I believe one of his films didn't do as well as he'd hoped recently.
That's right.
Mission: Impossible 5 wasn't a hit.
But this is a mission possible for Tom Cruise, ladies and gentlemen.
That's who's in there, it's Tom Cruise.
You're on stage.
Rita, what do you think? All along, I've been thinking those horns are like Grammys.
Maybe those aren't Grammys, but like trumpets.
And Jason Derulo had a song with trumpets in it.
When he sings Hit it, Ken.
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa! Maybe it could be Jason Derulo.
APPLAUSE The only other person that I think it possibly can be and that is Ceelo Green.
Like, I actually believe that.
What's the vampires and mummies clue, then? If it was Ceelo? Because he probably has dressed up as vampires Probably? Probably, yeah.
He's looking at you like Ceelo Green.
# Forget you Ooh-ooh-ooh! # I believe that you are an American.
I think that you are a very flamboyant performer.
You love being outrageous.
Flavor Flav.
From Public Enemy.
CHEERING I'm hoping and praying that you are Ceelo Green, cos that's what Rita and I truly believe.
Ken, what are you thinking? I know exactly who this is.
Here we go.
This is clearly someone American.
Someone, an actor.
Someone who plays many different characters.
A good friend of mine who I've done a couple of movies with.
This is Kevin Hart, guys.
AUDIENCE GROANING Hear me out.
Kevin Hart, it is! Kevin Hart.
Little man.
He's in there.
And it's like Pacific Rim or something.
He is operating them like stilts and everything.
He is working so hard, guys.
I salute you, Kevin Hart.
We'll only know the face beneath our furry friend once the mask comes off.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Monster.
Well done, Monster.
CHEERING I love the feet.
It's so cute.
Lovely.
'The panel have coughed up these names.
'But who do you think is behind the giant fur ball?' I think I'm doing pretty well.
Are they getting close to the truth? I couldn't possibly say.
MONSTER LAUGHS All five of our semi-finalists have now performed.
After the break, the studio audience will vote and we'll be unmasking our first celebrity.
CHEERING Who's that behind the mask? Who's that behind the mask? CHEERING Welcome back to The Masked Singer.
All five of tonight's masked celebrities have performed and it's time for our studio audience to vote for their favourite.
The celebrity with the least votes will be unmasked.
AUDIENCE: Ooh! While our studio audience vote, here is a reminder of tonight's performances for you at home.
# I'm gonna fly Like a bird tonight.
We'll find a new way of living.
# I need a hero I'm holding out for a hero Till the end of the night.
# That is the greatest Love of all.
Do you really want To make me cry? CHEERING The results are in.
AUDIENCE: Whoo! And I can reveal that, in no particular order .
.
the masked singers going through are AUDIENCE SHOUTING NAMES .
.
Octopus CHEERING .
.
Queen Bee Yeah! .
.
and Monster! Who's that behind the mask? Aww.
That means Fox and Hedgehog, one of you will be performing again tonight, and the other will be revealing their true identity.
Right now.
The masked singer returning to perform again later in the show is Oh, gosh.
.
.
Hedgehog! Who's that behind the mask? Which means, sadly, Fox, you will be unmasked.
Foxy! I can't wait to find out who she is.
Congratulations to the rest of you.
Give it up for our celebrities.
Who are you? Who are you? Who's that behind the mask? Let's hear it for Fox, everybody.
CHEERING Oh, Fox.
I'm gonna miss you.
I really am.
Fox, I'm so sorry, but your time on The Masked Singer has come to an end and you will be revealing who you truly are.
CHEERING So, panel, who do you think is behind the mask? Jonathan? I'm gonna say Tamzin Outhwaite.
Rita? I'm gonna go with Martine McCutcheon.
Davina, who are you gonna go with? Denise van Outen.
Denise van Outen for you.
Ken.
I see no reason to change my guess.
Elaine Paige.
Elaine Paige it is.
Four great guesses, all very different.
Let's see if any of you are right.
It's time to find out the identity of our masked singer, Fox.
Who's behind the mask? Take it off! ALL: Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Who are you, Fox? Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Take it off! Who is it? Who's that behind the mask? Yes! Denise van Outen! Oh, Denise! Denise! You were right.
You got it.
Oh! I cannot believe it.
It was you all along.
Yes, I'm the Fox.
So foxy.
Denise, you absolutely smashed it.
Oh, my God.
That voice is so beautiful.
What was it like, being the Fox? Well, it's been fun, cos I'm mischievous.
Yeah.
So it's been good slinking around and just misbehaving.
I'm gonna miss the Fox.
CHEERING And what was it like, singing inside that mask? It's bizarre.
And it does feel really weird.
But it all starts to become like part of you.
Yeah.
And it starts to feel comfortable.
I think it's gonna be weird for me singing without it.
And what was your link with Andrew Lloyd Webber? I did a one-woman show for him called Tell Me On A Sunday.
OK.
Did you take that to Broadway? No, I did that in London, but I did Chicago in London and Broadway.
Yeah, yeah, amazing.
Amazing.
So, why did you do The Masked Singer in the first place? It's just I do very musical theatre songs.
I never get to do these songs.
So a chance to do something completely different and have no inhibitions.
It's the best thing I've ever done.
It's amazing.
You've been so great on this show.
We love you, Denise! I love you, too.
Singing for us one final time, unmasked at last, ladies and gentlemen, it's Denise van Outen! CHEERING MUSIC: 'Holding Out For A Hero' # Ooh-ooh-ooh ooh # Ah-ah! # Where have all the good men gone? # And where are all the gods # Where's the streetwise Hercules # To fight the rising odds? # Isn't there a white knight Upon a fiery steed? # Late at night I toss and I turn # And I dream of what I need # I need a hero # I'm holding out for a hero Till the end of the night # And he's gotta be strong And he's gotta be fast # And he's gotta be Fresh from the fight I need a hero.
CHEERING After the break, our four remaining singers will all perform for a place in our final and another famous face will be revealed.
Whoo! Who's that behind the mask? Who's that behind the mask? Welcome back to The Masked Singer, the show that's more secretive than James Bond's pin number.
By the way, it's 007 .
.
7.
It's the semi-final.
CHEERING Four celebrities remain in the competition.
All of them are ready to perform again tonight.
Only three will make it to the final.
Singing for their place and always living life on the hedge, it's Hedgehog.
CHEERING MUSIC: 'My Way' # And now the end is near # And so I face # The final curtain # My friends # I'll say it clear # I'll state my case # Of which I'm certain # I've lived a life that's full # I've travelled Each and every highway # But more # Much more than this # I did it my way # For what is a man? # What has he got? # If not himself then he has naught # To say the things he truly feels # And not the words Nice! # Of one who kneels # Let the records show # I took the blows # And did it My way! CHEERING Yeah! Hedgehog! Hedgehog! CHEERING Hedgehog, everybody.
So, so good.
Powerful.
Rita, that was incredible, right? Hedgehog, you really came for it, and were like, "I want to be in the final.
" And I loved that.
This week, you really struggled to stand still and not do anything apart from sing, which makes me believe that you are some sort of, like, comedy man.
And you guys said it before, but I think you might be Jason Manford, yes.
Jason is a good singer.
I'm still not 100% certain who you are.
But I'm sticking with this.
Michael Ball, ladies and gentlemen.
One of the finest singers in the country.
I'm still so confused, because it could be an actor or a comedian.
So, I said John Thomson earlier.
I think he can sing.
He's funny.
John Thomson.
That's a great shout.
Ken.
There's something about your performance and your voice and he's a stage actor who can sing.
So it really makes me go back to Eddie Izzard.
And I hope it is.
So, panel, I've got a treat for you.
You now get to ask one question to Hedgehog.
And only one.
Can you fight it out amongst yourselves and decide what that question is going to be? I really want to ask Have you got a good question? Yes, I have.
Please, can I? You can have it.
So, I really need to know Rita thinks you're a comedian, I think you're a theatre stage actor, so I think we should just end this once and for all.
I think you should just tell us a joke.
OK.
Um why did the hedgehog cross the road? Why? To see his flatmate.
MINIMAL LAUGHTER Definitely stage actor.
LAUGHTER Interesting.
We'll only know who the person beneath the prickly bits is once their mask comes off.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up again for Hedgehog.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Great job.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Maybe actor.
I'm thinking Michael Ball.
'Our panel think one of these guys is behind the disguise.
'But what do you think?' I loved performing as the hedgehog this evening, and I just hope the vote goes my way, so I can go all the way through to the final.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Up next, and singing for a place in that final - I hope they're doing a song by Wet Wet Wet - it's Octopus.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE SONG: 'Vogue' by Madonna # Look around # Everywhere you turn is heartache # It's everywhere that you go # Look around # You can try everything you can To escape # The pain of life that you know # Life that you know # When all else fails And you long to be # Something better Than you are today # I know a place Where you can get away # It's called a dancefloor # And here's what it's for # So, come on, vogue # Let your body move to the music # Move to the music # Hey, hey, hey # Come on, vogue # Let your body go with the flow # Go with the flow Greta Garbo, And Monroe Dietrich Hey! # And DiMaggio # Marlon Brando, Jimmy Dean # On the cover of a magazine # Grace Kelly, Harlow, Jean # Picture of a beauty queen # Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire # Ginger Rogers, dance on air # They had style, they had grace # Rita Hayworth gave good face Lauren, Katherine, Lana, too This song is not her style.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Oh, I love how excited she gets.
Octopus, Octopus, Octopus! Octopus! Yes! Right, panel, you get to ask one question.
I'm gonna ask this question.
Octopus, we all just want to know, are you a model? Because the catwalk and travelling the world I dipped a tentacle in, but it wasn't for me.
Did Katherine Jenkins model? She looks like she did.
I think she might have done some modelling earlier in her career.
If she did, that's who I'm going with.
Yeah, that's who I'm sticking with.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Ken, you were a model earlier in your career? Yes, yes, I was a finger model.
LAUGHTER They looked really good.
Anyway, whatever.
Jonathan, what did you think? Cos all the clues are pointing her way.
I know she can sing.
I'm still sticking with Sheree Murphy from Emmerdale.
That's who I think.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE That's who I'm going with.
I am thinking how versatile Octopus has been, and I still feel like it's Kym Marsh.
Sticking with Kym Marsh.
CHEERS AND APPLAUSE Ken, what did you think? I thought it was an amazing job, but I just think you're one of the frontrunners.
I'm sticking with Charlotte Church.
Sticking with Charlotte Church.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE OK, well, we'll only know who's lurking beneath the surface once their mask comes off.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Octopus! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Wow, that wheels.
How do you control those wheels? Was she actually skateboarding? LAUGHTER Sorry.
But how is she doing it? 'Our panel think the octaves behind the octopus 'belong to one of these famous faces.
'But what do you think?' I'm so thrilled to be in the semi-final, and I honestly didn't expect to get this far.
I tried my best, I hope it was enough.
We've still got two performances to go before the studio audience vote and we unmask another celebrity.
You lucky people! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Who's that behind the mask? Who's that behind the mask? CHEERING Welcome back to The Masked Singer, the semi-final.
We're getting closer and closer to closing this crazy case.
We've still got two performances to go before we find out which three celebrities will be going through to the final.
Not only that, but another famous face will be revealed.
CHEERING Up next, and singing for a place in the final, giving us the royal treatment, its Queen Bee.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE SONG: 'Work It Out' by Beyonce Love this song.
# How ya doin', honey, baby? # You know I don't ask for much # But for a girl, Spendin' time alone # Can get pretty rough # I hear a knock at the door # I know it's yours for sure # I can't wait for the bedroom # So we just hit the floor # Is y'all all right? # I don't know # But I know what's happening To me, girl # Hey, y'all all right? # Uh, break it down now, uh # Hey, y'all all right? # I don't know # But I know what's happening To me, girl # Hey, y'all all right? # Uh, break it down now # Yeah, you gotta work it out # A brother gotta work it out Ooh Yes, Bee! # Chad, blow your horn now # Come on, Chad, blow your horn now # Chad, blow your horn now # Come on, Chad, blow your horn now I like this! I like this! # Ooh! # So, baby, hold me # Like you don't wanna let go # I'm feeling sexy # Cos, boy, you working me out She's definitely a performer, huh? Definitely.
# You've given me a taste Of your honey # I want the whole beehive # I'm gonna call you my sugar # To fly high CHEERING Yeah! # Yeah, you gotta work it out Ooh-oh! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Yes, Queen! Queen Bee, everybody! Oh, that was so good! Right, panel, you can ask one question.
What is it to be? Queen Bee, we've picked up on an accent, and none of us are quite sure which one.
Are you Geordie? GEORDIE ACCENT: Why, no, man.
LAUGHTER Yes and no.
Well, she said no, but she said it in a Geordie way.
But she's saying no.
But she said it like a Geordie.
LAUGHTER I think she's a Jodie, as in Comer.
I've been saying that all show.
I saw her at the Emmys and I said, "Queen Bee!" She turned around, and said, "What?" LAUGHTER Jodie Comer, baby.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Davina, has it changed anything for you? No, it's Jesy from Little Mix.
CHEERS Rita? Girl band, 100%.
I'm going with Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE I'm still not certain who you are.
I'm gonna guess maybe Nadine from Girls Aloud.
CHEERS AND APPLAUSE OK, well, we'll only know who's beneath the crown once the mask comes down.
Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Queen Bee! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE 'So, have you worked it out? 'Which of these guesses have got you buzzing?' I really channelled my inner Beyonce, so, fingers crossed, and what will be will be.
Just one celebrity left to sing for a place in the final.
They're big, they're blue, they're Monster.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE SONG: 'Careless Whisper' by Wham! # Oh # Whoa, oh # I feel so unsure # As I take your hand # And lead you to the dancefloor # As the music dies # Something in your eyes # Calls to mind a silver screen # And all its sad goodbyes # I'm never gonna dance again # Guilty feet have got no rhythm # Though it's easy to pretend # I know you're not a fool # Should've known better Than to cheat a friend # And waste the chance That I'd been given # So I'm never gonna dance again # The way I danced with you # Oh # Never without your love # Ooh # Tonight, the music seems so loud # I wish that we could Lose this crowd # Maybe it's better this way # We'd hurt each other With the things we'd want to say # I'm never gonna dance again # Guilty feet have got no rhythm # Though it's easy to pretend # I know you're not a fool # Should've known better Than to cheat a friend # And waste the chance That I'd been given # So I'm never gonna dance again # The way I danced with you Oh.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Give it up for Monster, everybody! So, so good.
Right, panel, what's your one question to Monster? Well OK No, no, no! Guys, it's my turn! For once in my life, let me! I know what to ask! All right, all right.
You've got it, Ken.
I'm sorry, I forgot.
LAUGHTER OK, no, I remember, I remember, OK.
Mr Monster, are you CeeLo Green? CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Good question.
Great question! Huh? I think you're crazy! CHEERS AND APPLAUSE I don't know, I don't know.
Would they do that? Does that help? I don't know.
I think it is him, I really do.
That actually takes me away from that.
Me, too.
Why would they tip it now? I honestly have to go back to one of my earlier guesses.
This is my comedy idol, Jack Black.
Drop the mic.
Listen, I said a name way back when.
I think those are Grammys.
I'm gonna go with Andre 3000.
It's a good shout.
Shake it like a Polaroid picture.
There we go, shaking it.
LAUGHTER My God, Monster can shake it! Known for your clothes, like spreading fun, you're a very modern performer.
I think, when that mask comes off, we will see, from the Black Eyed Peas, will.
i.
am.
That's who I think is in there, ladies and gentlemen.
Rita.
If I turn back now, then I'll never forgive myself.
So I'm gonna stick with CeeLo Green.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE We'll only know who's inside the monster's tummy when the mask comes off.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's Monster! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE 'Have you cracked the mystery behind Monster? 'Or are our panel's guesses still driving you crazy?' I hope the panel doesn't make any careless choices up there tonight.
Because I was born to be on this stage.
CHUCKLES CHEERING AND APPLAUSE After the break, we'll find out who is going through to the final.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Who's that behind the mask? Who's that behind the mask? CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Welcome back to The Masked Singer, the semi-final.
Our four remaining celebrities have now performed, and it's time for our studio audience to vote for their favourite.
The celebrity with the least votes will be unmasked.
The other three will be going through to next week's final.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE I'm so surprised.
Oh, I'm sorry, but your time on The Masked Singer has come to an end, and you will be removing your mask, but first, panel Who do you think is behind the mask? Jonathan? I'm sticking with my earlier guess.
I'm convinced it's will.
i.
am.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Rita? I can't turn back now, otherwise I'll never forgive myself.
I'm gonna go with Cee Lo Green.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE And finally, Ken? I'm going for Jack Black.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Four different names, guys.

Totally.
We are totally honoured.
Dude, I'm such a fan of you, Ken.
You're so cool, so funny, man.
KEN LAUGHS I want to give you a compliment, too.
I love the sharp suit.
I want one of those.
Thank you so I was dressing up as one of your Grammys.
LAUGHTER CeeLo, why did you do the show? I'm a fan.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Yes! I get a chance to sing all of those great classic songs that I loved so much going up.
That's so great.
We're all a fan of you.
Yeah, totally.
CeeLo dresses up, like, in his videos and everything.
This is my own personal collection.
LAUGHTER You've got so much room! Give me the feet! Feet, there they go.

David Beckham.
What?! DAVINA CHUCKLES How you like me now? 'Each week, your favourite celebrities sing undercover.
' Amazing! 'One by one, they are eliminated.
' ALL: Take it off! Take it off! 'And their mask removed.
' SINGS: I got it right! I got it right! 'Last week, Duck and Unicorn were unmasked.
' It's Skin from Skunk Anansie.
It's Jake Shears from The Scissor Sisters.
'It's the semi-final and another double elimination.
' Here we go.
'Singing to stay secret is' 'Get ready' Yes! Yes! Yes! '.
.
to play the craziest guessing game on TV.

# Ladies with an attitude # Fellas that were in the mood # Don't just stand there, Let's get to it # Strike a pose, There's nothing to it Vogue CHEERING # Vogue # Go with the flow # Ooh # You've got to just Let your body move to the music # Ooh, you've got to just Vogue.
AUDIENCE: Whoo! APPLAUSE While our studio audience vote, here's a reminder of tonight's performances for you at home.
# To say the things # He truly feels # And not the words Of one who kneels.
# Come on, vogue # Vogue # Let your body move to the music Move to the music Hey, hey, hey.
# You gotta work it out # Yeah, you gotta work it out # You gotta work it out Ooh, oh-oh.
# I'm never gonna dance again # The way I danced with you Oh-oh.
CHEERING The results are in.
AUDIENCE: Ooh! Oh.
I can reveal that in no particular order the first masked singer .
.
going through to the final is AUDIENCE SHOUTING .
.
Hedgehog! # Who's that behind the mask? # CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Ooh! Wow.
Congratulations, Hedgehog.
Wow.
The second masked singer to achieve a place in the final is AUDIENCE SHOUTING .
.
Octopus! # Who's that behind the mask? # CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Wow.
That means that Queen Bee and Monster, one of you will be going through to the final.
The other will be revealing their true identity right now.
The third and final masked singer to make it through to the final is AUDIENCE SHOUTING .
.
Queen Bee! # Who's that behind the mask? # CHEERING Oh! Congratulations.
DAVINA: Wow.
Give it up for them, everybody.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Well done, guys.
# Who's that behind the mask? # Oh, and look at Monster's face.
Let's hear it for Monster, guys.
Give it up for Monster.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Davina, who have you got? I'm gonna go with Andre 3000.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE And finally, Ken? I'm going for Jack Black.
CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Four different names, guys.
Let's see if any of you are right.
It's time to find out the identity of our masked singer.
Monster, who's behind the mask? ALL CHANTING: Take it off! Take it off! CHANTING CONTINUES CHANTING CONTINUES Who's that behind the mask? RITA SCREAMS Yes! It's CeeLo Green! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Yes, yes, yes! I knew it! I knew it! Five times Grammy award-winner CeeLo Green is here! I can't believe you're here.
This is amazing.
I think we're just truly starstruck you're here.
Oh, yeah! We love his dancing.
Thank you for singing every week.
You've been absolutely amazing on the show.
You're welcome, guys.
I appreciate all the kind words, so thank you so much.
Oh! We love you.
That's it for tonight.
