like I'm missing any limbs,

I'm great! Look at all these golden shells
I found in the ocean.
You were just eaten by a shark!
I mean, a whale!
I mean, whatever that thing is!
No, I wasn't!
And that "thing" is my new friend.
I call her Finnie.
Oh, do you like these things, Finnie?
Here you go fetch!
Rosie! You can't be friends with a shark.
Or is it a whale?
Maybe it's a mash-up of the two
called a "whark."
Or a "shale!"
Call her whatever you want.
All I know is that Finnie is my friend.

[purrs]
[grunts] Be right back!
- Well, this Finnie seems friendly.
- [Rosie giggling]
And she did have her chance
to eat Rosie but didn't.
That has to count for something, right?
Maybe Finnie is just playing nice
so we'll let our guard down
and she can eat us all.
[laughing]
This is too much fun, who's up for a ride?
[gasps] A ride. As in a ride home!
Mia, you've been plotting every day
for a way to get off this island, right?
Well, maybe Finnie is that way!
She's big enough to swim us
across the ocean!
[Finnie whistles]
That might work!
Who knows how long
it will take to get home
or if Finnie can even find Bird Island.
True. But then again, it's not
like we have any better options, right?
If you believe in Finnie,
then so do we.
Finnie can do it! Can't you, girl?
[Finnie clicks]
[water splashing]

I'll take that as a yes.
We won't all be able to hang onto
Finnie's fin as she swims.
We're gonna need something to ride in.
And that can haul all our stuff!
I feel a boat building montage coming on!
We better get to work.
Storm's a'brewin'.
[thunder cracking]
Huh, always wanted to say that
[yells]
[dramatic music playing]
[dramatic music continues]
Shelter, you were a great shelter.
Maybe the best that ever was. Hm.
So, yeah, thank you
for all the protection and stuff.
Maybe we should
leave something behind
to let anyone else who gets stranded here
know that we were here too,
and if we can survive this kooky island,
so can they.
I know what to do.
Let's carve our initials in this tree.
[dramatic music playing]

That's our cue.

[adventurous music playing]
Ah, you know, maybe we should wait
until the storm blows over first.
Finnie can out-swim it!

Maybe we should just go back.
[screams, squeals]
Finnie's swimming into the storm!
She can't hear us! Finnie!
[Rosie in distance] Finnie!
[yells]
[grunts]

[Mia grunts]
We're gonna need a bigger boat!
I have to get Finnie's attention
so she'll turn around.
Finnie? Finnie!
[thunder cracking]
[Rosie screams]
[yells]
[Buddy] Gotcha!
[both yell]

Can anyone see her?
I can't see anything.
Including the way back to the island!
This is all my fault,
I never should've asked Finnie
to try my dumb plan!
I'm so sorry, friends!
[all yell]
Finnie!
Wait, if you're not the one
saving us, who is?
[all] Whoa.
[dramatic music plays]
Okay, so now that
we're not sinking anymore,
how do we get back to the island?
We can't see anything!
[gasps]
[motivational music playing]
Friends! Check it!
[all exclaim]
[Finnie whistles]
[all] Whoo-hoo!
- [laughing]
- [Mia] We're safe!
[cheers] We did it!
[gasps]
- [Finnie clicks]
- I think that's Finnie's mom.
Which means Finnie's a kid, like us.
[Rosie] You guys
If my plan had worked out
and we made it home,
it would've separated Finnie
from her mama.
And she would've gotten stuck
in the same situation we've been in
since we landed here.
There's no such thing as a bad idea,
when we're trying to find a way home.
And your idea was awesome, Rosie.
Even if it didn't work,
another idea will eventually,
so keep 'em coming.
Speaking of "going home",
I think that's what our friends
in the water are about to do.
[light music playing]
[Finnie whistles]
So is that your mama, Finnie?
[chuckles]
Well, tell your mom, or dad,
or whatever they are to you,
thanks from me and my friends
for saving us from that storm.
[purrs]

[Finnie clicks]
