Turning Tides

[pop music playing]
-[Kayla] Hello there.
-Hi.
-[Kayla] How wonderful is this place?
-Right?
Wow!
I'm so glad that Jarvis invited me
to go tour this listing.
I think Jarvis is a great partner,
possibly, in the future.
She's extremely professional.
She portrays herself very classy.
I'm not gonna not like her
because other girls don't in the office.
It's ridiculous and completely immature.
And how much is this listed for?
Right under 11 million,
and it's 5,400 square feet.
Four bedroom, four baths,
and four stories.
Let's go check out
the view from the primary.
[Kayla chuckles] This is so gorgeous.
[Jarvis]
So, how are things with your listing?
Well, the client's still a nightmare.
He now wants to raise the price.
I-I don't know what to do.
I talked to Jason
and he said, "Either you fire him
or I raise the price,"
and I just keep going,
and see what happens. I'm stuck.
Honestly, if I were in your shoes,
I wouldn't just want to fire the client.
I would want to just keep pursuing it
because, you know, sellers can be fickle.
You gotta trust your intuition.
If you feel like that's the right call,
then that's the right call.
How's it been working with Alex Hall?
Truthfully. I want to know
what your experience has been.
I mean, it's been good so far, you know,
but after that little episode,
I was just like, I don't know.
Yeah. Well, words to the wise,
you've gotta be so careful
who you partner with.
Well, with that being said,
what the heck happened
at casino night? [chuckles]
Polly goes up to my fiancé
and runs her mouth,
says that I'm a bitch, she hates me,
good luck, you know, with I mean, just
-What?!
-Yeah.
Uh [laughs]
He told me about it after, like,
"I don't know who that was."
-He doesn't even know her.
-Wow.
And then I heard some
of the other girls talking about me,
so I came up and was like,
"I heard my name. What's going on?"
Brandi called me a bully.
And for them to call me a bully
What delusional world are you living in?
They actually look more
like the bullies than anybody else,
and that's why, you know,
I hate how you're being treated
at the office too, you know?
And it pains me to see them
talk down to you, because it's not right.
I feel everyone was really cool
with you since the beginning.
You've done nothing
to anyone that I know of.
Rose obviously started a bunch of things
in the office in the beginning,
but now I'm starting to think,
'cause of all the hatred
everyone has towards Rose,
uh, guilty by association? I don't know.
I definitely think that could be it.
But to me, that shows immaturity
on their part for thinking that.
-Because I'm my own person.
-Yeah.
If somebody wants to just
lump us together, that's on them.
Even though I'm cool with them
and cool with you guys now,
you can trust me.
-Trust is earned, you know?
-I know.
I lend trust on credit,
but I'm not afraid to call in a debt.
Yeah.
[pop music resumes]
["Move" by enemyrun playing]
I'm never ever gonna stop ♪
I go like Wanda on the block ♪
-And I mean
-Yum!
[laughing]
Thank you so much.
Oh my gosh, this is so fun.
[Lauren] I love this.
We each get our little stack.
Those are cute. I want a picture.
Look at this. This was an 11/10 choice.
[Lauren] This was such a good idea.
What was your rating of last night?
As a whole, the evening
probably was an 8.7.
The drama with Jarvis?
-That was like 11 out of 10 in bullshit.
-[Brandi] Yeah.
-[laughs]
-[Polly] And like,
minus two in enjoyability.
Like, I'm just like ugh.
Jarvis makes these snarky little comments,
and I've told her before in a discussion
not to call me honey.
She did it again, and I was like
They can't help it.
Even after you've said it twice,
I'm having a conversation,
they did it to me.
Like, "Honey, baby."
She said, "In Alabama we say,
'Bless your heart.'"
-I said, "That's called throwing shade."
-I say
-Excuse yourself, like
-Bless your heart.
Yeah, like, bless your heart.
Honestly, I don't even care,
the word "honey," I don't care,
-It's the way she says it.
-The condescending tone.
To make people feel stupid.
-Yeah.
-She did it with me, the "attorney" talk.
Like, "These are embellishments
that are being said."
-What? Shut up.
-Oh shut up. Yeah.
Like, what are you talking about? [laughs]
Go back to court
-[Brandi laughs]
-if you enjoy this language so much.
-We're all adults.
-I need to be better at my reactions.
I need to not be reactive because
she knows what gets under my skin.
-Yes.
-And she does it.
How are we going
to be acting in the office?
'Cause I know, I'm personally,
like, I'm fine with Kayla,
but the other girls,
I have no desire to even say hello.
-I've tried, and they just ignore me.
-Same. I'm fine with Kayla. We're good.
Like, whatever happened,
I've known since literally day one,
so it's not like
I'm treating her differently
than how I've always treated her.
It just, I think Kayla won't come to me
with her "problems" anymore.
-She knows you're gonna call her out.
-I'm gonna be like, "This is bullshit."
If you're running with those girls,
what does it say about you?
That's how I felt from the day I joined.
I actually liked Jarvis
when I first met her.
But then I started, like you said,
watching what was going on in the office,
and I was like, "Wait a minute."
Rose's behavior, it almost seems
like rubbed off on Jarvis
to where now it's like
they're one and the same.
You put a piece of rotten fruit
next to another, they both are rotten.
Like, she's so unlikable
and, like, tiresome.
[pop music playing]
-[Kayla] Hey. How are you?
-Hi.
-[Alex] Good, how are you?
-Good. Look at this view.
I know. It's gorgeous.
-We really live in paradise, man.
-Duh.
[Kayla] Um
-Hi, you guys.
-[Kayla] Hi.
-How you doing?
-Good.
-[server] Welcome to Hotel Laguna.
-Thank you.
Can I grab you two a cocktail,
something to drink?
How about a margarita?
A skinny margarita?
Perfect. They make a really great one.
-I'll do the same thing. Thank you.
-Okay. Awesome.
Um, I just wanted to, like, touch base
after me walking out of the team meeting.
She's the listing agent.
Well, she should be. She brought you on.
For you to butt in
when you have no idea, Rose So butt out.
[tense music playing]
You weren't saying
a whole lot at the meeting.
It was more like Jarvis and Rose.
And I was, like, totally thrown off guard.
I thought it was so weird and frustrating.
I want you to know that I didn't leave
because of you, by any means.
I left because I was upset
with what was going on.
I didn't feel like it was an appropriate
place to have that conversation.
So
Yeah, well, um
Honestly, I was just as shocked.
When they said something,
I was like, "What?"
While I really do love working with you,
I can see kind of like
where they were coming from,
but it should've been obviously
talked about just between you and I,
-not in front of everybody. [laughs]
-Yeah.
But I'm glad we were able to,
obviously, talk about this.
-Another thing I want to talk about
-Okay.
I don't have any doubts
that we can sell this thing,
but the seller does want
to raise the price by $350,000.
So
annoyed that he would do that.
-He's giving us no grace.
-Yeah.
I have never worked
with a client like this, ever.
I've had a lot of very difficult clients.
He makes me feels like that big.
I know Doug said that
Hall was like a car salesman,
but I don't want to tell her that
because I don't want
to set her off even more,
given how offended she already is
about the price increase.
For me, Doug stresses me out.
Doug is so temperamental.
-One wrong step
-Yeah.
and he could pull the rug
from under us.
He can't take the listing,
but he can make it fucking hard for us.
Even after everything
that has already happened to this point,
I still feel confident
that I can do this with you.
Yeah.
I look up to you. I put you on a pedestal.
I know how hard you work.
And this is my moment
to break into the luxury market and,
like, I think a part of me is like,
"I got this and I can prove
to everyone that I got this."
I have no problem with you
being here for business. I am too.
But, you know, this is not
a position I like to be in.
I know Hall is not
the easiest person to work with,
but now that the seller
wants to overprice the listing,
I could really use her help to sell this,
now more than ever.
[pop music playing]
[rock music playing]
-[Gio] That changed.
-Okay.
[Gio] Hi, puppy.
Just want to get your foot in the door,
get your offer accepted.
-[Gio] Hey, Brandi.
-[Sean] Hey, Brandi.
Jason, we got on the cover of Dream Home.
[Jason] Oh, yeah? With what house?
[Rose] With Dolphin.
We got it delivered today.
Cover of the magazine.
-It looks good. Really good.
-I know.
Guys, let's do this team meeting.
You wanna finish your game or pause?
No, this could take hours. [laughs]
-[Jason] Come on, guys.
-Don't know how I'm gonna do this.
[groans]
-This has no stretch.
-No right way.
Polly, you remind me
of some character in a book.
-[Brandi] Rosie!
-[Jason] Popeye?
Rosie the Riveter.
It's the "We can do it!"
-That's it.
-[Lauren and Brandi scream]
-[Alex] A cockroach?
-[Tyler] What's wrong with you?
-[Alex] Fucking cockroach?
-That was a black widow.
You guys are so dramatic.
-[Brandi | No, I do not fuck with spiders.
-I got it.
I fucking hate spiders.
-Are you sure you got it?
-Oh, I'm sure.
Oh, he got it.
Spiders usually mean
that it brings you good wealth.
I'd rather be a broke ass
than have spiders around me.
Okay, Polly.
Uh, Riverboat, whatever You start.
Um
I mean, I'm in escrow with buyers,
closing 10 days. Whoop, whoop.
-[Polly | Yeah, that's it.
-Okay.
[Jason] Brandi, can I get an update?
Yes. So, I've been showing a client,
a retired NBA player. I think I told you?
We're going to put an offer in
on a property in Laguna Niguel.
The agent already told me they do have
a cash offer that's pretty strong.
So, we're gonna write one up at 3.7 cash
and hope he gets it.
-[Austin] Nice!
-Great.
-[Jason] Good job.
-Thank you.
-NBA money. He's got 3.7 cash?
-[Brandi] Fingers crossed.
-Yeah. Let's hope he gets it.
-Nice.
How about you, Austin?
I actually had
a listing appointment in Irvine.
It's this beautiful home
on the end of a cul-de-sac.
Five bedrooms, six baths,
just over 6,000 square feet
-[Jason whistles]
-on a quarter acre of land.
-[Kayla] Nice.
-I was thinking somewhere around 7.95.
And they want to list high,
of course, so at 8.8.
-You got the listing signed?
-Yeah.
[Jason] That's awesome, man!
-Congrats!
-[cheering]
-Are you kidding?
-[Jason] Nice!
It's a great price point,
almost double digits.
-[Tyler] Attaboy.
-Good job.
-Yeah. Way to go.
-Thanks, guys.
Kayla, last we spoke,
you were dealing with a client that
you were either gonna walk away from
or you were gonna raise
the price on the listing.
Uh, what did you decide?
I decided to raise the price.
And the reason being is because
I just don't want to give up on it.
It's too soon.
It's been on the market
for just a couple of weeks.
We've gotten a lot of showing requests,
a lot of great feedback.
You know, we got the two other offers.
It's just I think it's just too soon,
and who knows what can happen?
Alex, what do you think about this?
I wanted to fire him two weeks ago,
but I understand why she wants to keep it.
We just have different approaches.
Honestly, for me,
at this point it's not about the price,
it's the way it transpired.
Listing it at one price,
getting offers and raising the price,
it looks silly on our part.
It makes me look silly
and it makes Kayla look silly,
because we're the listing agents,
and it just shows me,
without a doubt, he's not serious.
So I'm just gonna
bow out gracefully at this point.
I want nothing to do with it.
[tense music playing]
[Jarvis] I don't think you look silly.
You're pushing forward.
Who knows what can happen?
-The market will help.
-It's moving up.
Maybe the seller
will come to his senses.
It's just too soon to give up on it.
So I just want to just keep going.
There's two good answers to that scenario.
I respect either approach.
Honestly, me, I don't have
the tenacity you have towards this.
I probably would've walked away
like Alex, so
But I appreciate
that you're sticking with it.
And maybe you'll prove everybody wrong.
-[Austin] I hope you do.
-God, I hope so too. Shit! [laughs]
[Kayla sighs]
Okay, Gio. Let me hear your update.
I had a really, really good showing
today on Seville Ave.
A nice, young couple.
Brand-new construction,
a little over 3,200 square feet,
four beds, five baths, and it just has
a great, light, airy feel to it.
Since I represent them and the seller,
we can work something out
to make everyone happy, so
-Yeah. Thanks.
-[Austin] Well done.
-Nice, double-ending a six.
-[sighs]
Okay, Jarvis and Rose.
And by the way, happy birthday.
Thanks, Jason.
-[realtors] Happy birthday!
-[Jarvis] Thank you.
-Hopefully it's a big year of listings.
-[Jason] Exactly, yeah.
Um Okay, an update on Dolphin?
[Jarvis] We're still showing it,
and still no offers,
but, you know, we met with the seller,
and he's firm on price.
And we're just going
to continue to market it and,
I mean, a lot of homes above $15 million,
they just take longer to sell sometimes.
I think we need to stage it.
That's what's going to sell the house.
[Jason] You're right, 'cause we're not
getting anywhere on price reduction.
-We should push staging.
-We need to do that.
Tyler, how about you?
Yeah, so we, uh We went live
with my San Clemente listing,
which was my first O Group listing
and first one without my dad.
So that was a big deal. Uh
Put it in the MLS.
We were on for about four days.
Didn't have time to stage it,
had about 20 showings,
and had an awesome buyer
come through with a really strong offer.
So we were listed at 3,690,000,
sold it for 3,670,000,
and just a really quick, easy, clean deal.
-[realtors] Yeah!
-[Austin] Nice.
-Congrats.
-[Brandi] That's impressive, Tyler.
-Tyler, ring the bell!
-[Lauren] Go ring it!
[Tyler] Okay.
[Brandi] Yeah!
[loud ringing]
[Polly] Go, Tyler!
Well done, man.
-[Alex] Good job, Tyler.
-Thank you.
Tyler
You're all grown up.
-Had to happen one day.
-[Kayla] A real boy.
-Spread your wings.
-[Polly] "I'm a real boy!"
I want to end this meeting by saying
that we just crossed 100 million
in sales volume so far this year.
-[Alex] Nice.
-[Brandi] Yay!
-Good job, you guys.
-[Alex] Good job, guys.
-[Brandi] Awesome.
-[Polly] Good job.

for this point in the year.

-I didn't ask anybody else, just Brandi.
-I explained how you come off as bullies.

-[Rose] You can come off as bullies too.
-Shut the fuck up and listen to everybody.
Polly, I don't value your opinion.

-[Jarvis] Yeah. I'm telling you.
-because you disrespected me.
I'm gonna exit before I slap somebody.

-I don't appreciate you being a hypocrite.
-[Polly] What are you talking about?
[Rose] Don't bite Tyler's nose and don't
snuggle up on him right now on the boat
when you give Kayla a hard time
about flirting with him.
The whole Kayla/Tyler thing
is a moot point,
because it's not "overly flirtatious",
like, she tried to fuck the guy.
Like, that was the issue,
and we've squashed it,
so that is not your issue,
so why are you bringing that up to me?
Like, what else have you got?
What else have you got in your pocket?
Like, what else have you got?

-Have a good night.

What is the purpose?
[Polly] Fucking love sea life.
I get so excited.
[Alex] I'm ready to get back.
-But it may happen, right?
-Right.
[Brandi] I'm sure at your last brokerage
you have friends.
[Kayla] No, I don't.
[Brandi] None of them?
Say what?
[Rose] Okay, I'll be honest with you guys.
I think we should lay out
some things on the table.
I think you guys have double standards,
and some of you are hypocrites.
[Polly] Explain that.
I don't like the fact that you guys
went at Kayla for flirting with Tyler
when you're hugging up on Tyler.
-You don't know what happened.
-And you bit Tyler's nose at the beach.
-I don't think that's appropriate.
-Bit Tyler's nose?
[Jarvis] And cuddling.
Tyler and I can cuddle. Wait.
He's a married man.
You do not know what happened,
and if you wanna open
this Pandora's box with Kayla
Do you want that to be explored again?
Because it will.
I don't like when I see you on his lap
and you acting like a hypocrite.
Are you fucking kidding?
Who gives a shit?
It's just hypocritical if you give Kayla
a hard time for her behaviors.
You don't know what has gone on,
so shut the fuck up!
I can't. Seriously?
[Tyler] Guys,
what the fuck are you talking about?
-I was gonna come and get you!
-This is my problem right now,
is you guys are coming to the table
with an agenda to start shit.
-As usual.
-This is the problem.
-We're addressing an issue.
-No. It's not an issue. Alex is my friend.
I am married.
Alex and I have never crossed borders.
Polly and I are friends.
Polly and I never crossed borders.
There's no issue here.
You guys are making Kayla cry.
-[Brandi] That's you.
-This is the point, you guys are bullies.
-Kayla and I have squashed
-We're not bullies.
No, you're fucking bullies.
You think you're standing up for Kayla,
but she's in tears because of you.
-[Brandi] She doesn't wanna talk.
-That's the problem.
When they call you bullies,
this is the issue.
It's not bullying.
Really? Because look at her!
Polly, simmer down.
You don't need to yell.
-[Brandi] Oh my God!
-That's the problem.
Look at her!
You're yelling.
I'm trying to talk, you're yelling.
She came to us and told us she was hurt
because she felt iced out by you guys.
-Who?
-Kayla did.
She's been iced out for what?
From them, because of what transpired.
So, how is that your issue?
When we see things like sitting in
other people's laps, her biting your nose
and being sexual with you,
it is inappropriate.
-Who was biting my nose?
-Alex Hall bit your nose on the beach.
Alex Hall bit my nose on the beach?
-She bit my nose?
-[Brandi] She wasn't even there!
It's called a fucking "nosey," dude.
This is a nosey, bro.
-Oh my God!
-Austin!
[Austin] It's a fucking nosey,
not a big deal.
Wait, hold on, wait.
I don't have issues with you
until you've crossed a line with me.
Both of you today have crossed the line
with me in multiple instances
that make me feel a need to speak up.
So, in this moment,
I feel I need to speak up.
[girls scream]
Oh my God.
Homewrecker!
-[Polly] She gave him a nosey!
-No.
If Kayla were to do that,
that would be a really big deal.
No. It wouldn't be.
Yeah. Sure.
-[Polly] That isn't what she did
-No, that's you trying to cause an issue.
This is the problem,
is both of you are trying to cause issues.
Listen, I've had your back
for a long time,
but I don't have your back.
You want to know why?
I really don't care.
I know you don't,
that's the point, is you don't care.
And that in this industry,
in this community,
relationships go a long way,
and you guys will learn the hard way.
You'll find out one of these days.
You can only burn so many bridges
until there's nothing left across.
I'm not doing this. That's it.
It's a dangerous game we're playing ♪
A dangerous game ♪
Moving forward,
what's happened, happened.
Sure.
We have addressed it,
like, it is what it is.
And for Jarvis and Rose
to, like, bring it up again, like,
-that's old news.
-Argh!
The only person I trust here, is you.
The only person I trust.
[Polly] Cheers to real
[Alex] That's why I wanted you
to stay on this listing.
I'm being honest, you know?
The only person I trust,
and I would give my life to, is you.
And that fucking
We've been through a lot
in a short period.
That's why I trust you.
We're reaching the limit ♪
[Rose] Kayla's not sticking up
for herself. She shriveled like a puppy.
It's a dangerous game ♪
["Love Shy" by The Hoof playing]
[Lauren] Tyler, you do business
in San Clemente, right?
-Yeah.
-Are there any really big lots?
I'm seeing a few over 10, but not a ton.
-[Tyler] Over 10,000 square feet?
-[Lauren] Yeah.
I mean, there's a few, for sure,
but I don't know of a ton.
[Polly] I need to sneeze.
Lost it. I hate that.
I hate that. It's so annoying.
[laughs] Fuck.
Hey, I just wanna give you an update.
I know we just celebrated
$100 million in sales,
but we're jumping up
pretty quickly because
Rose and Jarvis sold their Dolphin Terrace
listing for $20 million today.
