The Summit (2024) s01e08 Episode Script
Necessary Evils
1
(thunder crashes)
MANU:
They started in a valley.
16 everyday Americans
with a million dollars
strapped to their backs.
Their goal: to reach the summit
of a mountain in just 14 days.
If you miss the 14-day deadline,
you will all go home
with nothing.
(bleep) just got real.
MANU:
One by one,
they started dropping.
DENNIS:
Rose is finally gone,
and we stole
that money from her.
GEOFF:
"When the last person is
crossing, use this axe
to cut the support rope."
"If you accept this deal,
tonight there will be no food."
DENNIS:
Oh, my God.
NICK:
I am so worried that
I'm gonna climb this ladder,
and then it's just
gonna fall beneath me.
MANU:
The elements have been unkind.
Holy crap.
You can't see a thing.
I'm stressed out
because the clock's ticking.
MANU:
They've been challenged
by the terrain.
-ROBERT: There you go.
-JENNYE: Oh, I can't do this.
PUNKIN:
I don't have anything
to hold onto.
(yelps)
(grunting)
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Holy (bleep)!
MANU:
Strategy has come into play.
BECKYLEE:
Everyone's eyes are
always on Dennis.
That means they're not on me
running the whole thing.
Jennye's name is being thrown
around because of her knee.
THERRON:
I would personally
like Jennye or Amy to go.
Put your hand up
if you're gonna vote for Jennye.
I guess tonight's vote is
about getting rid of the weak.
AMY:
Nick, I thought you said
it was gonna be unanimous.
I did not tell you that.
I do think Amy needs to be next.
MANU:
On day ten,
they reached the snow line,
and everything changed.
This mountain is gonna get
very, very tough.
-(Nick whoops)
-MANU: Their journey to the top,
-a breathless struggle.
-THERRON: Is it hard to breathe?
MANU:
But as the air gets thinner
(groans)
MANU:
thicker become the lines
drawn between them.
Dennis is not loyal.
Nobody's trusted him.
MANU:
Dennis was finally eliminated.
Let's see a show of hands
for Dennis.
And now, in the final push
to the summit,
alliances will have
to turn on each other.
Over $870,000 hangs
in the balance.
With only two checkpoints
and three days remaining,
THERRON:
"One person's climb
to the summit
-will end here."
-NICK: Oh, my goodness.
AMY:
I've had injured toes
since day two.
I mean, my toes are pulps.
MANU:
The countdown starts now.
(grunts)
(wind whistling)
PUNKIN:
Man, Dennis lasted
in this game
longer than he should've.
AMY:
When you're a liar like that,
-you don't even know how to
-Yeah.
(overlapping agreements)
I didn't even catch on to that.
He always just came to me
and was very nice.
'Cause he, he was, like
-"I need somebody."
-Yeah. (laughs)
JEANNIE:
Tonight Dennis was voted off.
I know everybody said
he was a liar,
but he communicated with me,
he helped me,
and he always, like,
"I got your back.
I got your back."
You know?
And now I don't have that.
I mean, he was just
-an easy piece to move around.
-Right.
We shady boos.
(laughing)
JEANNIE:
I think tomorrow's gonna be
really tough.
I'm nervous because
I just hope and pray
that, uh, my alliance
with Amy and Nick is good
and that I'm worthy
to still be in this game,
or I might be going home.
THERRON:
In this game,
fire represents your life,
and when the fire's gone,
so are you.
-(laughing)
-I mean
-That's good. That's good.
-(speaking indistinctly)
DUSTY:
Everyone in the group is having
fun around the campfire.
(laughter)
DUSTY:
But it seems
as if I'm the only one concerned
about what our objective is.
We're not just on a happy
little family camping trip.
We are supposed to get up
to the summit in three days.
This is gonna get
so much harder,
and Amy is going slow.
Already struggling.
I can't have you going
any slower than we already are.
This is serious.
-AMY: Go.
-Beckylee!
-THERRON: Yes. Yes!
-(whoops)
-THERRON: Point strike.
-BECKYLEE: I don't even think.
I don't even think anymore.
-THERRON: More, more,
more, more!
-BECKYLEE: No!
(birds chirping)
(squeaking, screeching)
BECKYLEE:
Shut up.
THERRON:
We're waking up,
all we hear is
(mimics birds)
And I'm like,
"Whose little rascal
knuckleheads are these birds?"
Oh, they ransacked
the camp, baby.
It sucked, and it is freezing.
Where are my gloves?
Like, walking through that snow
was hard enough.
With another layer or two,
it's gonna be even harder.
(squawking)
THERRON: I think Amy might be
holding the group back,
and so I think
Mama Amy has had her time.
Get them, Therron.
THERRON:
Go!
(squawking)
Good job.
BECKYLEE:
Last night,
when Dennis went home,
that was the last kumbaya vote.
-AMY: Can I get my Therron hug?
-THERRON: Mm.
BECKYLEE:
But now, I can start axing
people in my own alliance off.
And this is where I think
we get the fun started.
Nick.
BECKYLEE:
Dusty is a worry for me,
and I've been trying to, like,
sow some doubt
into people's minds about him.
I would really like to see Dusty
go out as soon as possible.
There's so many twists and turns
that the mountain's keeper
could throw at you.
We love you, Bo!
BECKYLEE:
And so I thought, you know,
maybe that would
eventually get him out.
"Step off the mountain's edge.
"Each fall will cost
precious time
and have consequences
at the next vote."
But, uh, no, not yet.
If you were in that position,
and it was you
who made the call,
right now, would you
make the call for Dusty?
-Yeah.
-Okay.
Nick is on my side.
He's my number, and I think
that's still accurate,
but I'm also worried
about his alliance with Dusty.
So I was trying
to feel him out this morning
to see if he would ever
turn on his friendship
with Dusty.
(bleep)
DUSTY:
Must be nice
to have all the food
you can eat.
(birds squawking)
AMY:
You all right, bub?
-I'm making friends.
-AMY: Okay.
-Huh?
-AMY: He's talking
to the birds, man.
You might want to check
on your friend.
-(Nick sighs loudly)
-I think he's skipping
his bromance for--
-He's going to the birds, man.
-(Nick chuckles)
Dusty and I are extremely tight,
and I understand
how big of a threat Dusty is,
but right now,
I'm already thinking endgame.
So I have to be very careful
playing both sides because
I don't want
to show my cards this soon.
-THERRON: Let's see the map.
-NICK: All right, guys.
-Okay.
-We got some uphill today.
-Okay.
-Shouldn't be super wet.
I think it's gonna be too cold
for it to be wet.
I think it's just gonna be
snowy and icy.
JEANNIE:
All right.
And he warned us
about the glacier.
JEANNIE:
Manu said
we're gonna be conquering
a glacier,
and I've never seen
a glacier before
in my entire life.
I don't know what kind
of equipment we're gonna need,
but we'll probably find out
as we go. (chuckles)
Probably gonna be
one of our longer travels.
DUSTY:
Let's do it.
I feel really, really good
about my strategy
as a leader.
They all trust me.
I think I've earned it.
There's over $850,000
up for grabs,
and I feel better and better
about my chances
to actually grab it
at the top of the summit.
MANU: The group now faces
a steep vertical climb
through the snow and ancient ice
of New Zealand's Grant Glacier
to reach the last
two checkpoint camps
before they face a harrowing
final ascent
to the summit.
With conditions so frigid,
today's glacial traverse marks
the most dangerous leg
of their journey.
The group will be forced
to use ice axes
to surmount the glacier's
near-vertical fins
and navigate a claustrophobic
glacial cave.
Crossing the Grand Glacier is
not for the meek of heart.
AMY:
Ice. Watch out.
THERRON:
(shivers) Yeah, it's slippery.
AMY:
This is so cold.
We're hiking up the mountain,
and there's a cliff
in front of us.
I am so terrified.
Like, I mean, honestly,
I'm worried about
slowing the group down,
but something deep, deep down,
I need to keep pushing through.
I always sell myself short.
My goal on day one,
when I saw how hard
it was gonna be,
and I saw Tony fall
"Just make it to halfway, Amy.
"Just make it seven days in,
get halfway through."
We're on day 11.
I can do this.
I'm too close.
MANU:
On this mountain,
nothing comes without cost.
Special equipment is
essential for the group
to advance further.
However,
obtaining it means sacrificing
someone's dream
of reaching the summit,
along with their money.
But one group member's loss
is another group member's
strategic gain.
(helicopter whirring)
JEANNIE:
Is that the mountain's keeper?
(overlapping chatter)
AMY:
He's got a yellow bag.
PUNKIN: Oh
JEANNIE:
Oh, my God.
AMY:
(gasps) Oh!
NICK:
We're so close to the summit.
There's a lot on the line.
I have a feeling that everyone
will be running for this bag.
I got to get to the bag.
I am here to come home
with the money.
(all grunting)
JEANNIE:
Ooh. Come on, Punkin.
Let's get to that bag!
BECKYLEE: I will do
what I need to do to get it
because I don't think
some people
are making it to the summit. So,
what is the mountain's keeper
gonna throw at us?
(all panting)
(Jeannie groans)
Come on!
-Ooh, that was a lot of energy.
-(Beckylee whoops)
-NICK: Man.
-(Jeannie groans)
DUSTY:
Therron ends up
getting to the bag first
and I can't help but wonder
if it means a good thing
or a bad thing for him because
I always know that
the mountain's keeper is about
to throw a big curveball
in the mix.
(exhales) Oh, God.
(all groaning)
DUSTY:
Yeah.
-BECKYLEE: What does it say?
-JEANNIE: This is extreme.
THERRON:
Okay. "As you can see,
"there are only six crampons
and six ice axes
"inside this bag.
"So one of you
"will not have
the required equipment
"to traverse the glacier,
"which means one person's
climb to the summit
will end here."
-Wow.
-THERRON: What?
-Oh, my God.
-Holy cow.
-It says
-PUNKIN: Wow.
"Whoever touched this bag first
"has the sole power to
eliminate someone immediately,
sending them and
their money off the mountain."
Oh
-And their money.
-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
Wow.
NICK:
Oh, my goodness.
(sighs)
-(Jeannie groans)
-THERRON: Oh, God.
No! I shouldn't have
touched this bag.
(wind whistling)
THERRON: "As you can see,
one of you will not have
"the required equipment
to traverse the glacier,
which means one person's climb
to the summit will end here."
-Wow.
-JEANNIE: What?
-Oh, my God.
-Holy cow.
-It says
-PUNKIN: Wow.
"Whoever touched this bag first
has the sole power
"to eliminate someone
immediately,
sending them and
their money off the mountain."
-Oh And their money.
-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
Wow.
NICK:
Oh, my goodness.
(gasps)
-Oh.
-Oh, God. No!
What is happening now?
NICK: The mountain's keeper
drops a bag,
and there's seven of us.
And there's only
enough equipment
for six of us
to get up this mountain.
You know, it's a sacrifice
that just has to be made.
But Therron has
a tough decision to make.
-I'm sorry, Therron.
-NICK: Geez.
THERRON: The person
that touched this first
is solely responsible
for voting somebody out.
Being the sole person
to crush someone's dream
I'm nervous because,
yes, this is a game,
but there's also
human emotion involved.
As a gamer, it's like,
I can't be
worried about
everybody else's feelings.
I have to be worried
about me, my game.
And so, strategy-wise,
it's a big decision.
It's super huge.
But I think
the most important thing is
for me to have conversations
to make sure I'm at the top.
He's in a weird spot
because he's gonna
feel bad no matter what he does.
-Yep.
-BECKYLEE: It's just scary
that one person
Yeah, has that power
to eliminate.
This is so-- We're coming
down to nitty-gritty.
DUSTY:
How do you feel?
Uh Well, I don't know.
I feel like I've been
wanting Amy out for a minute.
DUSTY:
Yeah? She works her butt off,
but-but physically, she is
-going to be the slowest.
-Yeah.
We need a group
that can wholeheartedly
pull their weight.
DUSTY:
I think Therron is trustworthy,
and he feels good about me.
Damn, this is so hard.
DUSTY: Therron has
a real hard decision,
but I think he knows
that Amy has to go home.
I'm gonna feel really bad,
but it's not
the worst thing in the world.
-Where's your head at?
-I don't know.
I mean, like, I want to trust
any decision you make.
I want you to know 100%.
-Don't cry.
-I'm not.
-Don't do this to me.
-I just know that
you gotta make the decision
what's best for your game.
-I know.
-AMY: I'm not as physically fit
as most of the group, but
I have the heart of a warrior.
Love you.
I work hard, I don't give up.
That has to count for something.
THERRON:
So, where's your head at?
-Nick?
-THERRON: I don't know.
PUNKIN: Sometimes I just look
at him, and he looks like
-he's just ready to
-Scheming?
-Yeah!
-Yeah.
-Like, just take
one of us out
-I know.
and I don't want that,
either.
-That's rough, too.
-I mean, it's all rough.
I know.
At the end of the day,
it's all about getting,
-you know,
who to the final three.
-Mm-hmm.
-Me and you and Beckylee.
-Mm-hmm.
Right now, the people I'm,
that I have
no relationships with
are Dusty and Amy.
So it's like, if I get out,
like, I've been
targeting both of them,
-it feels like, for weeks.
-I know.
I really think so.
I mean, it's your decision,
but this is a big move,
-and I think
it's the right move
-I know.
at this point.
'Cause we don't know
what's ahead.
I don't know
why I'm so afraid of Amy.
-Yeah.
-But she's been
-But she can't rally
the votes with us.
-Yeah.
THERRON: Dusty probably is
the strongest male out here,
but I definitely would love
to see Amy go next.
THERRON: Like, clearly, I don't
want to say your name
-or Beckylee.
-Mm-hmm.
-Mm-hmm.
-Me and Punkin are okay, too.
We're good. And I don't want
to vote Jeannie.
-No, Jeannie's with us, too.
-Yeah.
-So it's between Dusty and Amy.
-Mm.
I think we gotta go Dusty.
-That's what I'm saying.
-You have to
Do I take Dusty out now?
My biggest competition
probably would be Dusty.
He's more physical than me.
He's not afraid of heights.
Take Dusty out.
We're gonna have
such a hard time
getting to the summit with Amy.
NICK: At the end of the day,
I have to do what's best for me.
And this is my opportunity
to get Dusty out,
and not get
any blood on my hands.
THERRON:
Okay, hear me out.
This journey's about to be
so hard with Amy.
Amy's been on my target list
since, like, day two.
She's super sweet,
but I definitely would love
to see Amy go next.
We have 14 days
to get to the top.
And if we don't make it
because of Amy,
I'm not gonna be able
to sleep at night.
(sighs)
Think with your head, think with
your head, not your heart.
Um
this decision was
really hard.
We've been on this journey
for a while together,
and there's been a lot of tough
decisions that had to be made.
But this is really,
really hard for me.
Like, I don't even know
what to say.
(sighs)
Therron has
the sole power to vote out
someone from this mountain.
One vote is all it takes,
and your game has ended.
And you can tell
that he's, like,
grappling with the decision.
This may be
an individual choice,
and it might be
the wrong choice
but
(sighs)
unfortunately, it's Dusty.
He's been our leader.
He's been at
the front of the pack.
PUNKIN:
I love you, Dusty.
THERRON: He's strong
physically, socially.
And yes,
we are losing our leader,
but I think we're gonna
have to step up.
(Amy crying softly)
-I love you guys.
-Yeah, we love you, too.
Damn.
I just--
I was gonna do anything I could
to get you guys up there.
-PUNKIN: We know.
-THERRON: I know.
I just, I didn't expect it.
I didn't expect it at all.
DUSTY: Making it this far
was not a surprise to me.
Getting voted out
in this slimy of a manner
is-is a surprise to me,
because I trusted Therron.
I really am sorry, Dusty.
I would have
appreciated the transparency
when I just spoke to you.
I-I trusted
that you were someone
that would just be stand-up
and be transparent and
say, "Dusty, this is rough,
"but you're my competition.
I just gotta be honest
with you."
I understand you're upset,
and you are more than welcome
to be mad at me 'cause I am
the person saying your name.
I'm not mad at you, man.
But you have to realize
that a lot of people
are thinking similarly.
But what I'm afraid of
is that these people
that are in front of me
are going to choose you over me
to get to the top any day.
Because I feel like you're gonna
be more likely to help them
to get to the top than I am.
That's exactly what I'm saying.
That's-- It's just too bad.
And I just didn't expect
that out of you because I've
seen how fearless you can be.
I'm sorry, but the only
other person's name
that I would have
probably even said is Amy.
AMY: Holy hell, I've just been
saved within an inch of my life.
That was too close for comfort.
So I have to step up
and push through
all these injuries and pain,
because I want to prove
to the group I can do this.
I vote for who's helping
the group, and whom I can trust,
because I'm not trying to play,
"Well, he's my competition,
let me just vote him off,"
because, A, I wouldn't be able
to sleep at night
making that call, and B,
I don't think a leader
would make that call.
Well, looks like
I'm a follower, then.
DUSTY: To get stabbed in the
back in that manner is brutal.
It's-It's It's really brutal.
(sighs)
Dusty, thank you for everything.
PUNKIN:
I was not expecting that at all.
I wish it wasn't Dusty,
because I really
trusted Dusty in this game,
and I know he had my back.
So I'm starting to have a little
bit of doubt in Therron,
because why would you do that
without talking to me first?
THERRON:
That hit hard.
-PUNKIN: I know.
-NICK: We understand that, dude.
Everyone understands.
You're not on your own.
Therron took out Dusty,
and I keep my hands clean.
Dusty, I'll buy you a beer.
It'll all be on me.
But this is a game.
There's a lot of money on this,
and I'm doing this to win.
MANU: Losing Dusty
and his share of the money
is a shocking blow to the group.
But they don't have time
to grieve.
Daylight is limited,
and they must utilize
the preciously paid for
equipment
to begin their glacial climb
to the next checkpoint camp.
-AMY: Are y'all ready?
-PUNKIN: Yeah, let's go.
AMY:
Oh! Damn it.
Amy is very clearly
the slowest person hiking
through thick snow.
Hold on, Therron.
I'm-I'm just I can't move,
-'cause I'm waiting for Amy.
-(Therron sighs)
And so I think,
at least in my mind,
it's fair to put
the blame on Therron
if she doesn't make checkpoint.
There's a huge hole
to the right,
-so we're gonna move
a little left.
-JEANNIE: Oh, yeah.
THERRON: I mean, your whole
body's gonna go in if you fall.
BECKYLEE:
Oh, that's terrifying.
(Amy grunts)
You got this, girl.
Nice and easy.
JEANNIE:
Amy's just struggling a lot,
falling through the snow a lot.
(bleep)
JEANNIE:
And I'm thinking to myself,
did Therron
vote Dusty off way too soon?
Are we gonna be able
to get to the checkpoint?
Because Amy can't move.
(groans)
You got this.
(wind whistling)
BECKYLEE: Oh, there's a note?
There's a note up here.
AMY:
Oh, my God.
-JEANNIE: Oh
-THERRON: Whoa.
NICK: "Blocking your route
is a massive glacier
with deadly crevices that can
swallow a climber whole."
-JEANNIE: Holy
-NICK: "You will have to use
your ice axes
"to find your way through this
imposing gauntlet
to continue to the summit."
JEANNIE:
Oh
PUNKIN:
Oh, my gosh.
NICK:
"Don't mind the cracking ice
but I suggest
you move quickly."
-Oh, my God.
-PUNKIN: This is
kind of terrifying.
NICK:
"Swallow a climber whole."
Holy crap.
THERRON:
Oh, no.
NICK:
Oh, damn.
We gotta climb up and over.
THERRON:
My worst fear right now is that
I made the wrong decision
in voting out Dusty,
because I don't know
if Amy can do this.
She's struggling
just to walk in the snow.
And I just made almost
a million-dollar decision.
If Amy doesn't make it
up this wall,
I'm gonna be really upset
that I didn't take her out
when I had the chance.
NICK:
That is high.
PUNKIN:
This is insane.
(wind whistling)
NICK:
I see this massive glacier
that we got to climb
up and over.
-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
-NICK: I'm terrified of heights.
But we have to get to our
checkpoint. The only way is up.
Therron,
do you want to go first?
-You want to do it or?
-I got you.
-Yeah, I can go.
-Sure.
-AMY: All right, T.
-NICK: Come on, T.
THERRON:
Oop. (sputters)
Come on, T. You got this.
Oh. Whoo.
(breathing heavily)
(grunts)
Just don't lose those picks.
If your feet
aren't in properly
-JEANNIE: Yeah?
-it's a lot of arms.
It's so hard for me
to kick my feet into the wall.
So, now I'm having
to use all arms.
(gasps)
The feet are scary, man.
Okay. It's okay.
I have to adjust my strategy
and make sure that
every single hit
is sticking.
Because I don't want to slide
or drop the ice pick
and have to start over.
(grunts)
NICK:
Nice job. Way to hold.
Stay calm.
-PUNKIN: Almost, almost!
-AMY: Go, Therron!
(bleep) Come on, T.
-NICK: Nice job, T.
-PUNKIN: There you go, Therron!
-BECKYLEE: Yeah.
-AMY: Damn, Therron!
NICK:
Nice job, Therron.
BECKYLEE:
You're an ice climber.
I just ice-climbed on a glacier.
I feel so proud of myself
because I didn't
freak out or cry,
and I did it first.
I put myself
in an absolute great position,
because the person
I just got rid of,
Dusty, is no longer gonna be
my replacement
to go to the summit.
And now the rest of the people
are gonna look at me
and be like,
he just climbed that wall.
He's the man that I need
to get to the summit with.
-AMY: All right, Mama.
-NICK: Come on, Jeannie.
JEANNIE:
Okay.
-BECKYLEE: There you go.
-PUNKIN: There you go.
(grunting)
JEANNIE:
I'm really scared.
I'm really nervous.
Tonight, I do feel like
I have a target on my back,
because there's very few people
left in this game
and I'm the oldest one out here.
But I don't want
to show it because
I want to prove myself to them
that Jeannie can keep up and
she can get us to the summit.
NICK:
It's so cold.
BECKYLEE:
The worst-case scenario
is we're pulling over
in the wind chill
with a damn bivvy.
Yeah, I don't think
bivvies are an option.
I really don't see how we could
stay in a bivvy tonight.
-We gotta get there.
-Yeah.
NICK:
We have to make camp.
PUNKIN:
For sure.
AMY:
Hang on, Ma.
(groans)
-NICK: Nice job, Jeannie.
-(whooping)
-Nice job!
THERRON:
Two more steps! There you go!
-Hey!
-NICK: Nice!
Sorry for the moaning
and groaning, but
THERRON:
You did it.
It don't matter how cute it was.
I did it.
PUNKIN:
All right, Amy.
AMY:
Therron voted Dusty off,
but my name was
being thrown around,
so I got to give it all I got.
'Cause I don't want
to be seen as weak.
BECKYLEE:
Nice.
(Amy grunts)
(panting, grunting)
NICK:
Kick your foot in.
You got to kick them toes in.
AMY:
I have injured toes,
and we have to kick our feet
into the solid ice.
I mean, my toes are pulps
at this point.
This ridge is hard to get over.
(exclaims)
NICK:
Amy is struggling. This is not
an easy obstacle for her.
But if Amy can't make it
to the top,
everyone is gonna blame Therron.
And I skate by scot-free.
PUNKIN:
You got to kick.
There you go.
(grunting)
PUNKIN:
Get your footing.
-NICK: Get up there.
-BECKYLEE: Keep going.
PUNKIN:
Nice, Amy.
(Jeannie whoops)
-THERRON: Good job, Amy!
-JEANNIE: Amy!
Nice.
(Therron whoops)
AMY:
I did it faster than
I think anybody
anticipated that I would,
including myself.
And I hope that my team
sees my worth,
because my life in this game
depends on it.
-THERRON: Your arms tired?
-Hell yeah.
(laughter)
PUNKIN:
All right, Beckylee.
NICK:
How did your conversation
with Therron go?
which way were you leaning?
PUNKIN:
I just basically asked him
what he was thinking.
I just wasn't--
I wasn't expecting Dusty, but
Yeah.
It's crazy. We're down to six.
-I'm so happy.
-(relieved sigh)
I mean, you had
a tough decision earlier.
-Yeah.
-I appreciate you.
But you've worked really hard.
You deserve to keep
your journey going.
Yeah. Yeah.
And who was gonna cook
for me tomorrow?
(laughter)
You know we're gonna have
to vote some people off. Like
Yeah. We got to nominate
two people tonight.
-Like
-Oh. 'Cause we're going
to a checkpoint.
-But that's what I'm saying.
Like
-Yeah, we're making checkpoint.
-AMY: I mean, at this point,
we're all worthy.
-Yeah. Yeah.
(panting)
NICK:
Nice job, Beck.
THERRON:
Oh, Beckylee!
-Hey!
-Hey! (whoops)
PUNKIN: All right, Nick.
NICK:
I'm dragging a little bit.
Body's hurting.
Calves are sore.
Forearms are sore.
I'm terrified of heights.
There's a lot of stuff
I don't like
that's really taking up
a lot of my energy.
But I'm trying to keep
my eye on the prize.
We're a few days away.
PUNKIN:
There you go. Good job, Nick.
Good job.
NICK:
Whew!
Damn.
The obstacles we've done
have been terrifying.
And I'm trying not
to think about the fear.
I'm here for one reason,
and that is to win this thing,
'cause the money is going
to be life-changing for me.
I have a wonderful girlfriend.
We've been together
for about three years now.
And with this money, I can get
a really nice engagement ring.
And I am ready
to, you know, have kids
and start a family with her.
AMY:
Great job, Nick!
NICK:
She means everything to me.
She's definitely my best friend,
and she's my rock.
There's no doubt about it.
She's the one.
So, I'm gonna do
whatever it takes to win.
-BECKYLEE: Nice job, Nick.
-PUNKIN: You got it.
You looking good.
-(Punkin whoops)
-THERRON: Good job, Nick.
AMY:
Killing it, bro.
Nice job, Nick.
I'm sending the bag!
Each of us has $124,000
in our backpack.
Ready to pull!
-One, two
-PUNKIN: I ain't never had
that much money in my life,
let alone carrying
on my backpack.
three, pull!
One, two, three, pull!
PUNKIN:
I'm climbing up a wall,
and it feels like the military,
like basic training.
So, it's something
that I can do.
two, three, pull.
PUNKIN:
I'm a girl from the South,
but I'm over here
holding an ice pick
with some crampons in snow.
Like, who is this girl?
I'm a-- I'm a mountaineer now.
Y'all can call me a mountaineer
Southern belle, because--
-JEANNIE: Nice!
-AMY: Yes, ma'am.
JEANNIE:
Punkin!
(cheering, laughter)
PUNKIN:
We got to push it a little bit.
THERRON:
Um, just watch your step.
There's a lot of holes.
PUNKIN:
A lot of holes.
Please watch your step.
-Is this a dead end?
-THERRON: I guess
we're going in.
AMY:
We come to a dead end
with a hole
barely large enough
for us to fit through.
PUNKIN:
We got to go through somehow.
-THERRON: We go under.
-PUNKIN: Under?
-AMY: Really?
-BECKYLEE: I don't like
going in things
that can collapse.
AMY:
It's very daunting,
especially with all of us
harnessed into a rope together.
I'm terrified of tight spaces.
I don't want to go in.
Holy (bleep).
We're going in here?
-We're going in?
-BECKYLEE: Oh, man.
JEANNIE: I hate closed spaces.
PUNKIN: We got to move.
-AMY: I want to get out.
-THERRON: Let's go.
BECKYLEE:
Oh, my God.
THERRON: We got
a long way to go.
PUNKIN: I wish Dusty was still
here, because we would
be able to move
a little quicker.
(wind whistling)
-PUNKIN: Oh, we're going under.
-AMY: Really?
-NICK: How tight is it?
-PUNKIN: Very.
THERRON:
Yeah.
BECKYLEE:
Therron's like,
"We're at a dead end."
And it's this natural tunnel
formed by rocks
that has been covered in snow.
PUNKIN:
It's tight, y'all.
You might have to take
your bag off
and push it
as you're going through.
THERRON:
I'm gonna try to clear
some of this to make it easier.
BECKYLEE: Therron digs out
the snow and realizes
that we have to go
through the tunnel
to continue our trek.
Oh, my gosh.
(ice crackling)
Yeah. Oh, dear.
Oh, gosh.
PUNKIN:
All right, y'all, I'm going.
(grunts)
Oh, my God.
(grunts) Come on.
-NICK: Are you out?
-No, we're still in.
THERRON:
Step on the rope.
(Therron grunts)
NICK: Man, that's risky.
AMY:
Okay. I'm pushing my bag.
Oh, God. Oh, (bleep).
Okay. Wait.
Keep going.
(grunting, panting)
PUNKIN:
Hey, y'all, we kind of
have to hurry up.
I know it's scary,
but we got to move.
(Amy hyperventilating)
AMY:
Heights don't scare me
as much as claustrophobia.
Being in tight spaces.
-(breathing rapidly)
-Hey, hey, hey. (shushing)
-AMY: I don't want to do it.
-NICK: Here.
Push your bag here.
I got your bag.
AMY:
Don't mess with nature.
How do we know
that's not gonna fall?
How do I know it's not
gonna collapse on me right now?
And I just want to get out.
-You're fine. We're here.
-Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-I'm okay, I'm okay.
-I got it.
Come on. (grunts)
NICK:
Amy is having a panic attack.
This is my time to step up
and help her out.
Amy, come on. Be careful.
(Amy hyperventilating)
AMY:
Oh, God.
Nick!
PUNKIN:
All right, we're standing.
THERRON: I'm gonna keep going
so they have space.
(Amy hyperventilating)
Okay, can you give me space,
Jeannie?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-BECKYLEE: I'm just gonna panic.
-It's very narrow.
BECKYLEE:
Oh, my God.
Okay.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
NICK:
Beck, you good?
I'm coming.
Come on, Jeannie.
Okay.
Coming.
(grunts)
Oh, my God.
(Amy hyperventilating)
NICK:
Hold on. Let me get up,
-give you some space.
-THERRON: Let's go.
AMY:
I want to get out.
THERRON:
We don't have time for this.
I want out, got to get out.
I want to get out.
I got it, I got it, okay.
I want to get out,
I want to get out.
Okay.
-NICK: We're good.
Look at me. We're good.
-Sorry, guys.
-Biggest fear ever.
-NICK: We're good, we're good.
(panting)
(grunts)
BECKYLEE:
It's a terrifying feeling.
The panic sets in immediately
when you are army crawling,
pushing your backpack,
hoping that you don't get stuck.
-JEANNIE: Beckylee,
are you through?
-Almost.
I've seen too many cave movies
that end in collapsing.
It's like, all right,
this is the moment
that the rocks fall
and you're gone.
PUNKIN:
Jeannie?
Beckylee,
is Jeannie right behind you?
Yeah.
PUNKIN: We got to push it
a little bit, Jeannie.
-BECKYLEE: Come on, Jeannie.
-PUNKIN: Come on, Jeannie.
(grunts)
I'm getting caught.
Oh, okay.
-Okay.
-BECKYLEE: Can you
hand me your bag?
Yeah. Beck, can you help me?
That'd be great.
Holy (bleep).
That obstacle was tough.
I never, ever thought
it was gonna be that small
of a hole to get
to the other side.
But I did it.
Oh, geez.
And that drive is gonna
get me up this mountain.
Guys, just give me a second
to put my bag on.
Okay.
THERRON:
Mm-hmm.
PUNKIN: Nick I definitely
trust the least.
And so right now, my mind is
thinking to get Nick
out of this game.
And I need Therron
to have my back.
Watch your step.
MANU:
After successfully conquering
the glacier,
the group still has
several miles of uphill
-snow and ice to traverse.
-(Amy whoops)
And the group has now reached
such high elevations
that dangerous winds will
fight them at every step.
And at this altitude,
making each checkpoint camp
is crucial for their safety.
THERRON:
This snow goes deep, man.
Ooh.
This is hard.
(grunts)
-Whoa!
-PUNKIN: Ooh!
-BECKYLEE: Careful.
-PUNKIN: Deep hole. You okay?
-You need help?
-(grunting)
PUNKIN:
You okay, Amy?
You need a hand?
I think I got it.
Okay.
THERRON:
You good?
PUNKIN: I'm good,
but she's too far behind me.
(Amy exclaims)
-I'm coming, Punkin.
-PUNKIN: (bleep), Amy.
Oh, my foot's twisted.
(grunts)
NICK: I'm stuck in the back
of the line with Amy.
I'm stuck under a rock.
So my job is to make sure
she gets to that checkpoint.
I'll be the leader and I will
help us get up this mountain.
-All right,
-BECKYLEE: Nice job.
PUNKIN:
Nice, Nick.
-Thank you.
-AMY: Thanks, Nick.
JEANNIE: Oh, this wind
is picking up, guys!
BECKYLEE:
Yep.
(women whooping)
PUNKIN:
My feet are frozen.
Definitely,
the smaller the numbers get,
the more selfishly
you have to play.
And Therron made some
big moves in this game.
Dusty, for sure, was a big move
-for him.
-THERRON: Y'all keep pushing!
PUNKIN: But I wish Dusty was
still here because we would
be able to move a little quicker
and Amy wouldn't be
slowing us down so much.
THERRON:
We do have a time limit.
And when I voted out Dusty,
I got rid
of the strongest person that
I know would for sure
make sure we get there.
I'm scared
because I think right now
everybody else thinks
that I made the wrong decision
keeping Amy.
Oh, my God.
We got a long way to go.
(wind whistling)
NICK:
Lord Almighty.
THERRON:
Oh, my God.
Y'all keep pushing!
PUNKIN:
Camp is close.
Come on, y'all.
Oh, this wind!
THERRON:
You know, we just eliminated
our strongest person
and we're already behind.
(bleep)
I made the wrong decision.
PUNKIN: One foot in front
of the other, baby.
Coming, guys. Sorry.
Good job.
JEANNIE:
God, it's so windy.
Oh, my God, is that it?
-PUNKIN: We can see it.
-(whooping)
-JEANNIE: Yeah!
-AMY: Checkpoint!
-(Therron exhales)
-JEANNIE: Camp!
BECKYLEE: We finally get
to the checkpoint.
First off,
we're freezing, the wind
is, like,
only continuing to build
and it is so miserably cold
that I don't even want
to, like, have conversations.
(Jeannie exhales)
Oh, there's a fire.
(Punkin whoops)
NICK:
Nice job, everybody.
I can't believe we made it.
(exhales)
Wow. My ass never felt so good.
AMY:
It's not easy for any of us,
but when you're a little older
than most of the group,
and you are not
as physically fit as most
of the group,
it's twice as hard.
And if I'm still here
making checkpoints
and hanging
with everybody during
the tough stuff, I 100% believe
I have a chance and I deserve
to be at the summit.
Let's make a toast, guys.
To the best 11 days
of our lives.
I swear, I don't hang out
with too many friends.
I'm always busy doing
the mom thing and working.
But it was so nice to take this
time out and really appreciate
hanging out with friends, man.
It's awesome, you know?
All right, cheers, everybody.
Clank, clank, clank, clank,
clank, clank!
PUNKIN: You're like, yes,
we finally reached a checkpoint.
But then
it's kind of like a doomsday
at the same time,
because you're like, okay,
we know we have
to vote someone off.
And with already losing Dusty,
we're about to lose
two people in one day.
You know, a few days ago,
I asked this group
how many of you had
climbed a mountain?
Who put their hand up?
-No.
-Nobody.
Nobody.
You just climbed a glacier.
-Yeah. Yeah.
-Crazy.
-We did it.
-PUNKIN: Crazy
to even think about.
-Yeah.
-Yep.
-MANU: Congratulations.
-Thank you.
So before you reached
the glacier,
you had a visit
from the mountain's keeper.
-Yep.
-NICK: Yeah, we did.
-Unfortunately.
-NICK: Mountain keeper
dropped a bag
and it became a free-for-all.
And Therron was
the first to the bag.
You got the opportunity to vote
somebody off the mountain.
What did that feel like?
I just went with my gut feeling.
I feel like, both physically
and socially, Dusty
was just better at this game
than I was.
MANU:
Was Dusty somebody
who could have helped
this group get to the summit?
Absolutely. We know he's
a great physical competitor and
that was the hardest part
about weighing the decision.
And I had to put faith in people
who have shown time and time
again that they will continue
to fight and they will
rise to the occasion.
Well, I hope you made
the right decision.
I think that
the group can do things
without someone
who does everything for us.
Well, tonight you're gonna
have to make another decision.
To steal someone's money and
to vote them off this mountain.
With six of you left, it's
like a roulette wheel right now.
I feel like the ball
could land anywhere.
You're all looking very nervous.
I'm gonna give you a little
bit of time to think about it.
Then I'll come back
for the vote.
One of you is gonna leave
this mountain tonight.
Good luck.
NICK:
So Therron took out Dusty.
Uh, obviously, that puts
a big target on my back.
It's very clear who the alpha
is in this group now.
PUNKIN: Therron is playing
such a messy game right now.
I love him,
but Therron didn't give me any
heads-up
that it was gonna be Dusty.
So it just made me
feel like, "Damn.
Am I as close with Therron
as I think I am?"
AMY:
I'm pretty sure the two names
on the chopping block tonight
are mine and Jeannie's.
I mean, if it comes down
to saving my life
for Jeannie's,
I have to vote Jeannie
off the mountain tonight.
I'm not going down
without a fight.
(wind whistling)
(wind whistling)
Do you know
who you're gonna vote for?
No. I don't even know what names
are being thrown around.
I know. I don't, either.
AMY:
I think by the way everybody's
split up, we can tell.
Yeah.
I'm not ready to go.
It's not how many times
I've fallen down.
It's how many times
I get back up.
Therron.
Therron said today
when he voted Dusty off
the mountain that his second
consideration was me.
So it would be fair for me
to say Therron's name tonight.
JEANNIE:
That's a fire.
I am so nervous.
Oh
When you're sitting there,
you're about to get voted off,
you just say
whatever you could say
to help your case
and to not get eliminated.
Yesterday, I really,
really, really struggled.
I'm sorry. I'm real-- I'm sorry
I'm holding everybody up.
I'm freaking out!
Walk off the cliff!
I-- It's a game, so I need to do
what feels right for me,
and you know what?
I work at Trader Joe's,
so I've been working
with younger people for years.
And now I need to make
a big twist in this game
and turn on Team Mom.
I know Amy has
a strong social game,
-but I'm so freaking determined.
-Yeah.
Like, I mean, my God,
if nobody saw that
through all these 12 days
I mean, don't you want someone
who's determined,
who's not gonna slow
the group down to do this?
-Yeah.
-But, you know,
I asked her if you had
to pick a third name.
She said she would pick you.
-(stammers)
-Wait, so Amy said
she would say my name?
-Yeah, yeah.
-(laughs)
Girl, bye.
My jaw just hit the floor.
Did Amy just rally the troops,
and I'm about to be blindsided?
I can't let that happen.
Jeannie just told me--
Jeannie asked Amy,
if she had to say
a different name,
who would it be?
And she said me.
-Wait, what?
-Oh
-Amy said that.
BECKYLEE:
Oh.
THERRON: I think
Amy's gonna nominate me.
BECKYLEE:
I'm in a tricky position
because I have a final three
with me, Therron and Punkin.
But I also have a final three
with me, Therron and Nick.
I don't know who I would bring
at this moment, Punkin or Nick.
If I lose an opportunity
to vote out Nick now,
I might not get another chance.
PUNKIN:
Me and Nick,
we kind of run in
the same alliance a little bit,
but I feel like
if he had an opportunity
to take someone out,
I feel like my name is the one
that he would say,
and so I'd rather take him out
before he has the opportunity
to take me out,
and so I got to get him out.
I just think that
if Nick goes home,
we-- me, you and Therron--
have a higher chance
of getting to a bag
-than Amy or Jeannie.
-BECKYLEE: Uh-huh.
-I kind of want Amy.
-Okay.
I-I see your point about Nick,
-and I think
he eventually would do that.
-Mm-hmm.
But I don't think you have
anything to worry about,
because then, like, we have
the numbers going forward.
PUNKIN:
Yes, we're an alliance,
but we're all playing this game
as a single person.
We came in by ourselves.
So hopefully all three of us
can make it to the summit,
but we don't know.
So maybe some trust
has to be broken
or some promises
have to be broken, um,
in order to make it.
Are you, like, "Oh, 100%"?
-Like, "I feel like
I need to get Nick out"?
-I do.
-Really?
-I really do feel that way.
I would love to see that war
come out and them duke it out.
And then whoever wins,
you know, no one's mad at me
because
they took themselves out.
(wind whistling)
-PUNKIN: I'm gonna be honest.
-NICK: Yeah.
PUNKIN: I don't know where
I stand with you.
-Okay.
-We never really
-kind of talked game.
-Yeah. True.
I know we've always said
we were going to,
-and then we kind of
just never did.
-That's true.
And so
you just make me nervous,
and I don't know, like, where I
stand with you, so let me know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
PUNKIN:
I just was straight up.
I'm like, "You make me nervous."
I don't know
if you're coming for me
or you're not coming for me.
And he was just like, "Yeah."
And I'm like,
"Well, what does 'yeah' mean?
Like, are you coming for me
or not?"
-I think
-Amy.
Amy is better to get out now.
We'll rock and roll
to the next one
-Okay.
-is what I think.
-Okay. I'm down with that.
-You?
I mean, I think he's still
coming for me,
let's be real.
But I don't think
I'm high priority for him
right this instant.
Okay. So we solid?
-Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
-Okay, cool.
NICK:
Punkin, to me,
is still just
a little bit of a wild card.
She does not trust me.
I think she's closer
with Becky and Therron than me,
and that worries me because
I'm on the outside looking in.
-How'd it go?
-Good.
So (sighs) I don't know.
I'd rather see Punkin go home
tonight.
I think the three of us
are most important.
For me, it's 99% in my mind,
if it's just Amy
and just Jeannie,
we're 99% us three making it.
That's all. I mean, I don't have
no issues with Punkin.
I don't think--
We just had a really good talk.
She said she thought we all
Are we all good with that
forward?
-So I-I trust her. Um
-THERRON: Mm-hmm.
To me, she's just
a little more of a wild card,
'cause I know Amy and Jeannie
won't win anything.
-But did you see, we vote out
-Dude, you lost her--
We vote out,
we vote out Dusty.
Three seconds later,
Amy can't walk through the snow.
-And I'm like, "Girl, I got to
deal with that tomorrow, too?"
-I know.
Well,
maybe there's a competition,
and she physically can't win
and she can't finish.
But then that means
we lose the money.
Four out of six people
are being considered
to be kicked out of the mountain
tonight.
And that's a very scary feeling,
right?
Like, that's more than half.
That's more of a majority
that are actually, like,
being thrown out there.
You know
So it's like, to me,
it's like
I can go either way.
BECKYLEE:
If I vote out Nick now, I think
me, Therron and Punkin
could probably
coast on to final three.
THERRON:
It's so hard to say
who I'd love to see at the top,
but my soul doesn't want to have
to make another tough decision
of, like, getting rid of
someone's dreams.
I think that we're in
for an interesting night.
(wind whistling)
MANU:
Okay, guys, time's up.
Let's take a seat.
The sun's going down.
-Oh, yeah, sure is.
-You know what happens
in a western?
-What?
-When the sun goes down?
-JEANNIE: No.
-A shoot-out.
Yeah.
We've come to that point again.
It's time
to steal somebody's money
and vote them off the mountain.
All of the alliances
in the world
aren't gonna get you
to the top of this mountain.
The only thing
that's gonna get you
to the top of this mountain
is yourselves.
-Jeannie.
-JEANNIE: Yes.
-You've come a long way
from New York.
-Yeah.
-(laughs)
-Do you think
you're gonna stick around,
or you think
you're gonna be going home?
Well, of course,
everybody wants to stick around.
I mean, since day one,
I've been just
thinking about that summit.
Beckylee, do you think
alliances have shifted?
Yes and no.
You know, I-I feel like I have
a really good relationship
with everyone.
But the thing is, like,
we don't know
what the hell's gonna happen.
He may change his mind
in a heartbeat,
and I'm gone.
And that's a very scary feeling.
It makes every vote out
a scary position,
no matter what.
-MANU: Nick?
-Yeah?
One alpha male got voted off
today.
There's two guys, four girls.
-JEANNIE: (chuckles) Hell yeah.
-AMY: Hell yeah.
-Yeah.
-This vote could go any way.
-That's true.
I don't think anyone really
knows what's about to happen.
Well, guys,
I said to you already,
who's got your back?
Or who's got a knife
at your back?
I've given you time
to think about it.
What names have come up?
I'm nominating Therron tonight.
Why?
Because I think
Therron's playing
a pretty flawless game
right now.
He leads when he needs to.
He makes tough decisions
when he needs to.
I've played an honest game,
and I've played
a trustworthy and loyal game.
He's my strongest competition.
What about the decision
that he made earlier today?
The decision he made earl--
He was very honest with me.
He said there were other names
that came up besides Dusty's,
and he said,
"Amy, you were one of them."
I was also--
I'm gonna nominate Amy.
When the decision was between
voting you off or Dusty off,
I really had
to weigh that decision.
But then we started walking and
it slowed the whole group down.
And sometimes I get nervous
that if this is a game
where we have to get there
in 14 days,
is the extra time
we're taking to slow down
going to hinder us
from getting to the top?
That's not fair.
I have busted my ass
like every one of you.
-Okay, I didn't say you didn't.
-And I deserve--
No, but I deserve to go up
that mountain with you guys.
MANU:
Amy.
Can you make it
to reach the summit?
Absolutely, I can.
I've made it
through every storm
in my life so far,
and I'm damn sure not gonna quit
today or tomorrow.
We will make it on time.
(voice breaking):
I will never let you guys down.
Most of the time,
I wanted to quit.
I didn't quit
because I saw y'all,
and I knew that
you were counting on me
to make it to checkpoint
and to do this
and to do that,
I didn't do things for myself.
I did it for you guys.
We wouldn't make it in time.
We've not missed checkpoint once
because of me.
Not once.
I wouldn't give up now.
Out of you four here,
is there another name
that you'd like to nominate?
Everybody just
take a look at Amy.
Think about everything
she's done to get here.
Take a look at Therron
what he's contributed,
and let's make a vote.
Raise your hand if it's Therron
you'd like
to vote off the mountain.
That's one vote.
Raise your hand
if you'd like to vote Amy
off the mountain.
-(sniffles)
-(Jeannie mouths)
(wind whistling)
Amy
your time on this mountain
has come to an end.
I came here and did exactly--
no, I came here
and did more than
I ever thought I could do.
You're a mom,
you put yourself second,
-third, and fourth
to needs of your family.
-Yeah, yeah.
Not doing this for myself,
I told you day one.
I'm so damn proud
of the person walking
off this mountain.
And I do, I love each
and every one of you.
I really, really do.
Go grab your gear,
bring the money
back to the group,
say your goodbyes,
and you have
to make your way home.
Thank you.
It was an awesome experience.
I don't even recognize
the person leaving.
I've been a person
who doubts myself a lot.
Although, I-- You know,
I exude this confidence
to the world,
I have this little self-doubt
in the back of my mind that
I don't know it's there anymore,
and if it is,
it's not loud enough
for me to hear.
-And then there were five.
-Then there were five.
-Good luck, guys.
-OTHERS: Thank you.
MANU:
Tomorrow's gonna be
a very difficult day.
AMY:
I'm a bigger threat
than any of them thought
when I first came here,
and I think they see my fight
and that scares them
'cause they know
I'll stop at nothing
to win this whole game.
I'm so proud of myself.
BECKYLEE:
Therron is somebody
who is extremely likable,
very charismatic.
He plays not only with his heart
but mostly with his head.
And I think
that's a respectful game.
And so I think
when Amy said that,
it kind of at least
made me pause and think,
you know, is Therron a threat?
Does Therron need to leave
before final three?
-PUNKIN: Top five!
-(cheering)
BECKYLEE: We started with 16.
We're down to five.
JEANNIE:
Wow. We are so close
to the summit, man.
-Oh, my goodness.
-BECKYLEE: This is it.
-(wind whistling)
-PUNKIN: Oh, this wind!
THERRON:
This wind is blowing, baby.
(Punkin groans)
-SAFETY OFFICER: Hey, guys.
Out of the huddling.
-JEANNIE: This is nice.
We got to get out of here.
-BECKYLEE: What?
-THERRON: What do you mean?
-Oh, wow.
-Oh, my God.
This wind's gonna pick up
big time.
Gonna have a bunch of rain
and then snow.
Oh, God.
JEANNIE: Okay.
SAFETY OFFICER:
Quick as you can.
We haven't got any time, really.
-(Jeannie groans)
-NICK: Damn.
JEANNIE:
Oh, my God. This is crazy.
NICK:
Come on, Jeannie.
THERRON:
Oh, God. (groans) I hate this.
MANU:
A fierce 24-hour storm
approaches
that presents a serious threat.
NICK:
All right, let's go.
-THERRON: Becky!
-Yeah, I'm coming.
MANU:
Right now, the priority is
getting to safety.
NICK:
We got to evacuate immediately,
so we're grabbing all our stuff.
It was definitely scary.
I am very worried.
We're not truly safe.
So it is very stressful.
-(bleep)
-(groaning)
JEANNIE:
Oh, my God!
(Nick groans)
-I just, I just-- Go.
-Come on.
JEANNIE:
Come on, Beckylee.
THERRON:
It's crazy. We got to go.
This is serious.
Oh, God.

-You're Dennis 2.0.
Everyone is your ally.
-(chuckles)
BECKYLEE:
Nick. Nick. Nick.
JEANNIE:
Here comes trouble!
BECKYLEE:
I have to get that bag.
(grunting)
I just don't trust Nick.
I promise I was not.
Interesting.
The tension in the air
is palpable.
When you're so close,
all you want to do is
get to that finish line.
It would be so painful
to fall short this close.
(wind whistling)
(thunder crashes)
MANU:
They started in a valley.
16 everyday Americans
with a million dollars
strapped to their backs.
Their goal: to reach the summit
of a mountain in just 14 days.
If you miss the 14-day deadline,
you will all go home
with nothing.
(bleep) just got real.
MANU:
One by one,
they started dropping.
DENNIS:
Rose is finally gone,
and we stole
that money from her.
GEOFF:
"When the last person is
crossing, use this axe
to cut the support rope."
"If you accept this deal,
tonight there will be no food."
DENNIS:
Oh, my God.
NICK:
I am so worried that
I'm gonna climb this ladder,
and then it's just
gonna fall beneath me.
MANU:
The elements have been unkind.
Holy crap.
You can't see a thing.
I'm stressed out
because the clock's ticking.
MANU:
They've been challenged
by the terrain.
-ROBERT: There you go.
-JENNYE: Oh, I can't do this.
PUNKIN:
I don't have anything
to hold onto.
(yelps)
(grunting)
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Holy (bleep)!
MANU:
Strategy has come into play.
BECKYLEE:
Everyone's eyes are
always on Dennis.
That means they're not on me
running the whole thing.
Jennye's name is being thrown
around because of her knee.
THERRON:
I would personally
like Jennye or Amy to go.
Put your hand up
if you're gonna vote for Jennye.
I guess tonight's vote is
about getting rid of the weak.
AMY:
Nick, I thought you said
it was gonna be unanimous.
I did not tell you that.
I do think Amy needs to be next.
MANU:
On day ten,
they reached the snow line,
and everything changed.
This mountain is gonna get
very, very tough.
-(Nick whoops)
-MANU: Their journey to the top,
-a breathless struggle.
-THERRON: Is it hard to breathe?
MANU:
But as the air gets thinner
(groans)
MANU:
thicker become the lines
drawn between them.
Dennis is not loyal.
Nobody's trusted him.
MANU:
Dennis was finally eliminated.
Let's see a show of hands
for Dennis.
And now, in the final push
to the summit,
alliances will have
to turn on each other.
Over $870,000 hangs
in the balance.
With only two checkpoints
and three days remaining,
THERRON:
"One person's climb
to the summit
-will end here."
-NICK: Oh, my goodness.
AMY:
I've had injured toes
since day two.
I mean, my toes are pulps.
MANU:
The countdown starts now.
(grunts)
(wind whistling)
PUNKIN:
Man, Dennis lasted
in this game
longer than he should've.
AMY:
When you're a liar like that,
-you don't even know how to
-Yeah.
(overlapping agreements)
I didn't even catch on to that.
He always just came to me
and was very nice.
'Cause he, he was, like
-"I need somebody."
-Yeah. (laughs)
JEANNIE:
Tonight Dennis was voted off.
I know everybody said
he was a liar,
but he communicated with me,
he helped me,
and he always, like,
"I got your back.
I got your back."
You know?
And now I don't have that.
I mean, he was just
-an easy piece to move around.
-Right.
We shady boos.
(laughing)
JEANNIE:
I think tomorrow's gonna be
really tough.
I'm nervous because
I just hope and pray
that, uh, my alliance
with Amy and Nick is good
and that I'm worthy
to still be in this game,
or I might be going home.
THERRON:
In this game,
fire represents your life,
and when the fire's gone,
so are you.
-(laughing)
-I mean
-That's good. That's good.
-(speaking indistinctly)
DUSTY:
Everyone in the group is having
fun around the campfire.
(laughter)
DUSTY:
But it seems
as if I'm the only one concerned
about what our objective is.
We're not just on a happy
little family camping trip.
We are supposed to get up
to the summit in three days.
This is gonna get
so much harder,
and Amy is going slow.
Already struggling.
I can't have you going
any slower than we already are.
This is serious.
-AMY: Go.
-Beckylee!
-THERRON: Yes. Yes!
-(whoops)
-THERRON: Point strike.
-BECKYLEE: I don't even think.
I don't even think anymore.
-THERRON: More, more,
more, more!
-BECKYLEE: No!
(birds chirping)
(squeaking, screeching)
BECKYLEE:
Shut up.
THERRON:
We're waking up,
all we hear is
(mimics birds)
And I'm like,
"Whose little rascal
knuckleheads are these birds?"
Oh, they ransacked
the camp, baby.
It sucked, and it is freezing.
Where are my gloves?
Like, walking through that snow
was hard enough.
With another layer or two,
it's gonna be even harder.
(squawking)
THERRON: I think Amy might be
holding the group back,
and so I think
Mama Amy has had her time.
Get them, Therron.
THERRON:
Go!
(squawking)
Good job.
BECKYLEE:
Last night,
when Dennis went home,
that was the last kumbaya vote.
-AMY: Can I get my Therron hug?
-THERRON: Mm.
BECKYLEE:
But now, I can start axing
people in my own alliance off.
And this is where I think
we get the fun started.
Nick.
BECKYLEE:
Dusty is a worry for me,
and I've been trying to, like,
sow some doubt
into people's minds about him.
I would really like to see Dusty
go out as soon as possible.
There's so many twists and turns
that the mountain's keeper
could throw at you.
We love you, Bo!
BECKYLEE:
And so I thought, you know,
maybe that would
eventually get him out.
"Step off the mountain's edge.
"Each fall will cost
precious time
and have consequences
at the next vote."
But, uh, no, not yet.
If you were in that position,
and it was you
who made the call,
right now, would you
make the call for Dusty?
-Yeah.
-Okay.
Nick is on my side.
He's my number, and I think
that's still accurate,
but I'm also worried
about his alliance with Dusty.
So I was trying
to feel him out this morning
to see if he would ever
turn on his friendship
with Dusty.
(bleep)
DUSTY:
Must be nice
to have all the food
you can eat.
(birds squawking)
AMY:
You all right, bub?
-I'm making friends.
-AMY: Okay.
-Huh?
-AMY: He's talking
to the birds, man.
You might want to check
on your friend.
-(Nick sighs loudly)
-I think he's skipping
his bromance for--
-He's going to the birds, man.
-(Nick chuckles)
Dusty and I are extremely tight,
and I understand
how big of a threat Dusty is,
but right now,
I'm already thinking endgame.
So I have to be very careful
playing both sides because
I don't want
to show my cards this soon.
-THERRON: Let's see the map.
-NICK: All right, guys.
-Okay.
-We got some uphill today.
-Okay.
-Shouldn't be super wet.
I think it's gonna be too cold
for it to be wet.
I think it's just gonna be
snowy and icy.
JEANNIE:
All right.
And he warned us
about the glacier.
JEANNIE:
Manu said
we're gonna be conquering
a glacier,
and I've never seen
a glacier before
in my entire life.
I don't know what kind
of equipment we're gonna need,
but we'll probably find out
as we go. (chuckles)
Probably gonna be
one of our longer travels.
DUSTY:
Let's do it.
I feel really, really good
about my strategy
as a leader.
They all trust me.
I think I've earned it.
There's over $850,000
up for grabs,
and I feel better and better
about my chances
to actually grab it
at the top of the summit.
MANU: The group now faces
a steep vertical climb
through the snow and ancient ice
of New Zealand's Grant Glacier
to reach the last
two checkpoint camps
before they face a harrowing
final ascent
to the summit.
With conditions so frigid,
today's glacial traverse marks
the most dangerous leg
of their journey.
The group will be forced
to use ice axes
to surmount the glacier's
near-vertical fins
and navigate a claustrophobic
glacial cave.
Crossing the Grand Glacier is
not for the meek of heart.
AMY:
Ice. Watch out.
THERRON:
(shivers) Yeah, it's slippery.
AMY:
This is so cold.
We're hiking up the mountain,
and there's a cliff
in front of us.
I am so terrified.
Like, I mean, honestly,
I'm worried about
slowing the group down,
but something deep, deep down,
I need to keep pushing through.
I always sell myself short.
My goal on day one,
when I saw how hard
it was gonna be,
and I saw Tony fall
"Just make it to halfway, Amy.
"Just make it seven days in,
get halfway through."
We're on day 11.
I can do this.
I'm too close.
MANU:
On this mountain,
nothing comes without cost.
Special equipment is
essential for the group
to advance further.
However,
obtaining it means sacrificing
someone's dream
of reaching the summit,
along with their money.
But one group member's loss
is another group member's
strategic gain.
(helicopter whirring)
JEANNIE:
Is that the mountain's keeper?
(overlapping chatter)
AMY:
He's got a yellow bag.
PUNKIN: Oh
JEANNIE:
Oh, my God.
AMY:
(gasps) Oh!
NICK:
We're so close to the summit.
There's a lot on the line.
I have a feeling that everyone
will be running for this bag.
I got to get to the bag.
I am here to come home
with the money.
(all grunting)
JEANNIE:
Ooh. Come on, Punkin.
Let's get to that bag!
BECKYLEE: I will do
what I need to do to get it
because I don't think
some people
are making it to the summit. So,
what is the mountain's keeper
gonna throw at us?
(all panting)
(Jeannie groans)
Come on!
-Ooh, that was a lot of energy.
-(Beckylee whoops)
-NICK: Man.
-(Jeannie groans)
DUSTY:
Therron ends up
getting to the bag first
and I can't help but wonder
if it means a good thing
or a bad thing for him because
I always know that
the mountain's keeper is about
to throw a big curveball
in the mix.
(exhales) Oh, God.
(all groaning)
DUSTY:
Yeah.
-BECKYLEE: What does it say?
-JEANNIE: This is extreme.
THERRON:
Okay. "As you can see,
"there are only six crampons
and six ice axes
"inside this bag.
"So one of you
"will not have
the required equipment
"to traverse the glacier,
"which means one person's
climb to the summit
will end here."
-Wow.
-THERRON: What?
-Oh, my God.
-Holy cow.
-It says
-PUNKIN: Wow.
"Whoever touched this bag first
"has the sole power to
eliminate someone immediately,
sending them and
their money off the mountain."
Oh
-And their money.
-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
Wow.
NICK:
Oh, my goodness.
(sighs)
-(Jeannie groans)
-THERRON: Oh, God.
No! I shouldn't have
touched this bag.
(wind whistling)
THERRON: "As you can see,
one of you will not have
"the required equipment
to traverse the glacier,
which means one person's climb
to the summit will end here."
-Wow.
-JEANNIE: What?
-Oh, my God.
-Holy cow.
-It says
-PUNKIN: Wow.
"Whoever touched this bag first
has the sole power
"to eliminate someone
immediately,
sending them and
their money off the mountain."
-Oh And their money.
-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
Wow.
NICK:
Oh, my goodness.
(gasps)
-Oh.
-Oh, God. No!
What is happening now?
NICK: The mountain's keeper
drops a bag,
and there's seven of us.
And there's only
enough equipment
for six of us
to get up this mountain.
You know, it's a sacrifice
that just has to be made.
But Therron has
a tough decision to make.
-I'm sorry, Therron.
-NICK: Geez.
THERRON: The person
that touched this first
is solely responsible
for voting somebody out.
Being the sole person
to crush someone's dream
I'm nervous because,
yes, this is a game,
but there's also
human emotion involved.
As a gamer, it's like,
I can't be
worried about
everybody else's feelings.
I have to be worried
about me, my game.
And so, strategy-wise,
it's a big decision.
It's super huge.
But I think
the most important thing is
for me to have conversations
to make sure I'm at the top.
He's in a weird spot
because he's gonna
feel bad no matter what he does.
-Yep.
-BECKYLEE: It's just scary
that one person
Yeah, has that power
to eliminate.
This is so-- We're coming
down to nitty-gritty.
DUSTY:
How do you feel?
Uh Well, I don't know.
I feel like I've been
wanting Amy out for a minute.
DUSTY:
Yeah? She works her butt off,
but-but physically, she is
-going to be the slowest.
-Yeah.
We need a group
that can wholeheartedly
pull their weight.
DUSTY:
I think Therron is trustworthy,
and he feels good about me.
Damn, this is so hard.
DUSTY: Therron has
a real hard decision,
but I think he knows
that Amy has to go home.
I'm gonna feel really bad,
but it's not
the worst thing in the world.
-Where's your head at?
-I don't know.
I mean, like, I want to trust
any decision you make.
I want you to know 100%.
-Don't cry.
-I'm not.
-Don't do this to me.
-I just know that
you gotta make the decision
what's best for your game.
-I know.
-AMY: I'm not as physically fit
as most of the group, but
I have the heart of a warrior.
Love you.
I work hard, I don't give up.
That has to count for something.
THERRON:
So, where's your head at?
-Nick?
-THERRON: I don't know.
PUNKIN: Sometimes I just look
at him, and he looks like
-he's just ready to
-Scheming?
-Yeah!
-Yeah.
-Like, just take
one of us out
-I know.
and I don't want that,
either.
-That's rough, too.
-I mean, it's all rough.
I know.
At the end of the day,
it's all about getting,
-you know,
who to the final three.
-Mm-hmm.
-Me and you and Beckylee.
-Mm-hmm.
Right now, the people I'm,
that I have
no relationships with
are Dusty and Amy.
So it's like, if I get out,
like, I've been
targeting both of them,
-it feels like, for weeks.
-I know.
I really think so.
I mean, it's your decision,
but this is a big move,
-and I think
it's the right move
-I know.
at this point.
'Cause we don't know
what's ahead.
I don't know
why I'm so afraid of Amy.
-Yeah.
-But she's been
-But she can't rally
the votes with us.
-Yeah.
THERRON: Dusty probably is
the strongest male out here,
but I definitely would love
to see Amy go next.
THERRON: Like, clearly, I don't
want to say your name
-or Beckylee.
-Mm-hmm.
-Mm-hmm.
-Me and Punkin are okay, too.
We're good. And I don't want
to vote Jeannie.
-No, Jeannie's with us, too.
-Yeah.
-So it's between Dusty and Amy.
-Mm.
I think we gotta go Dusty.
-That's what I'm saying.
-You have to
Do I take Dusty out now?
My biggest competition
probably would be Dusty.
He's more physical than me.
He's not afraid of heights.
Take Dusty out.
We're gonna have
such a hard time
getting to the summit with Amy.
NICK: At the end of the day,
I have to do what's best for me.
And this is my opportunity
to get Dusty out,
and not get
any blood on my hands.
THERRON:
Okay, hear me out.
This journey's about to be
so hard with Amy.
Amy's been on my target list
since, like, day two.
She's super sweet,
but I definitely would love
to see Amy go next.
We have 14 days
to get to the top.
And if we don't make it
because of Amy,
I'm not gonna be able
to sleep at night.
(sighs)
Think with your head, think with
your head, not your heart.
Um
this decision was
really hard.
We've been on this journey
for a while together,
and there's been a lot of tough
decisions that had to be made.
But this is really,
really hard for me.
Like, I don't even know
what to say.
(sighs)
Therron has
the sole power to vote out
someone from this mountain.
One vote is all it takes,
and your game has ended.
And you can tell
that he's, like,
grappling with the decision.
This may be
an individual choice,
and it might be
the wrong choice
but
(sighs)
unfortunately, it's Dusty.
He's been our leader.
He's been at
the front of the pack.
PUNKIN:
I love you, Dusty.
THERRON: He's strong
physically, socially.
And yes,
we are losing our leader,
but I think we're gonna
have to step up.
(Amy crying softly)
-I love you guys.
-Yeah, we love you, too.
Damn.
I just--
I was gonna do anything I could
to get you guys up there.
-PUNKIN: We know.
-THERRON: I know.
I just, I didn't expect it.
I didn't expect it at all.
DUSTY: Making it this far
was not a surprise to me.
Getting voted out
in this slimy of a manner
is-is a surprise to me,
because I trusted Therron.
I really am sorry, Dusty.
I would have
appreciated the transparency
when I just spoke to you.
I-I trusted
that you were someone
that would just be stand-up
and be transparent and
say, "Dusty, this is rough,
"but you're my competition.
I just gotta be honest
with you."
I understand you're upset,
and you are more than welcome
to be mad at me 'cause I am
the person saying your name.
I'm not mad at you, man.
But you have to realize
that a lot of people
are thinking similarly.
But what I'm afraid of
is that these people
that are in front of me
are going to choose you over me
to get to the top any day.
Because I feel like you're gonna
be more likely to help them
to get to the top than I am.
That's exactly what I'm saying.
That's-- It's just too bad.
And I just didn't expect
that out of you because I've
seen how fearless you can be.
I'm sorry, but the only
other person's name
that I would have
probably even said is Amy.
AMY: Holy hell, I've just been
saved within an inch of my life.
That was too close for comfort.
So I have to step up
and push through
all these injuries and pain,
because I want to prove
to the group I can do this.
I vote for who's helping
the group, and whom I can trust,
because I'm not trying to play,
"Well, he's my competition,
let me just vote him off,"
because, A, I wouldn't be able
to sleep at night
making that call, and B,
I don't think a leader
would make that call.
Well, looks like
I'm a follower, then.
DUSTY: To get stabbed in the
back in that manner is brutal.
It's-It's It's really brutal.
(sighs)
Dusty, thank you for everything.
PUNKIN:
I was not expecting that at all.
I wish it wasn't Dusty,
because I really
trusted Dusty in this game,
and I know he had my back.
So I'm starting to have a little
bit of doubt in Therron,
because why would you do that
without talking to me first?
THERRON:
That hit hard.
-PUNKIN: I know.
-NICK: We understand that, dude.
Everyone understands.
You're not on your own.
Therron took out Dusty,
and I keep my hands clean.
Dusty, I'll buy you a beer.
It'll all be on me.
But this is a game.
There's a lot of money on this,
and I'm doing this to win.
MANU: Losing Dusty
and his share of the money
is a shocking blow to the group.
But they don't have time
to grieve.
Daylight is limited,
and they must utilize
the preciously paid for
equipment
to begin their glacial climb
to the next checkpoint camp.
-AMY: Are y'all ready?
-PUNKIN: Yeah, let's go.
AMY:
Oh! Damn it.
Amy is very clearly
the slowest person hiking
through thick snow.
Hold on, Therron.
I'm-I'm just I can't move,
-'cause I'm waiting for Amy.
-(Therron sighs)
And so I think,
at least in my mind,
it's fair to put
the blame on Therron
if she doesn't make checkpoint.
There's a huge hole
to the right,
-so we're gonna move
a little left.
-JEANNIE: Oh, yeah.
THERRON: I mean, your whole
body's gonna go in if you fall.
BECKYLEE:
Oh, that's terrifying.
(Amy grunts)
You got this, girl.
Nice and easy.
JEANNIE:
Amy's just struggling a lot,
falling through the snow a lot.
(bleep)
JEANNIE:
And I'm thinking to myself,
did Therron
vote Dusty off way too soon?
Are we gonna be able
to get to the checkpoint?
Because Amy can't move.
(groans)
You got this.
(wind whistling)
BECKYLEE: Oh, there's a note?
There's a note up here.
AMY:
Oh, my God.
-JEANNIE: Oh
-THERRON: Whoa.
NICK: "Blocking your route
is a massive glacier
with deadly crevices that can
swallow a climber whole."
-JEANNIE: Holy
-NICK: "You will have to use
your ice axes
"to find your way through this
imposing gauntlet
to continue to the summit."
JEANNIE:
Oh
PUNKIN:
Oh, my gosh.
NICK:
"Don't mind the cracking ice
but I suggest
you move quickly."
-Oh, my God.
-PUNKIN: This is
kind of terrifying.
NICK:
"Swallow a climber whole."
Holy crap.
THERRON:
Oh, no.
NICK:
Oh, damn.
We gotta climb up and over.
THERRON:
My worst fear right now is that
I made the wrong decision
in voting out Dusty,
because I don't know
if Amy can do this.
She's struggling
just to walk in the snow.
And I just made almost
a million-dollar decision.
If Amy doesn't make it
up this wall,
I'm gonna be really upset
that I didn't take her out
when I had the chance.
NICK:
That is high.
PUNKIN:
This is insane.
(wind whistling)
NICK:
I see this massive glacier
that we got to climb
up and over.
-JEANNIE: Oh, my God.
-NICK: I'm terrified of heights.
But we have to get to our
checkpoint. The only way is up.
Therron,
do you want to go first?
-You want to do it or?
-I got you.
-Yeah, I can go.
-Sure.
-AMY: All right, T.
-NICK: Come on, T.
THERRON:
Oop. (sputters)
Come on, T. You got this.
Oh. Whoo.
(breathing heavily)
(grunts)
Just don't lose those picks.
If your feet
aren't in properly
-JEANNIE: Yeah?
-it's a lot of arms.
It's so hard for me
to kick my feet into the wall.
So, now I'm having
to use all arms.
(gasps)
The feet are scary, man.
Okay. It's okay.
I have to adjust my strategy
and make sure that
every single hit
is sticking.
Because I don't want to slide
or drop the ice pick
and have to start over.
(grunts)
NICK:
Nice job. Way to hold.
Stay calm.
-PUNKIN: Almost, almost!
-AMY: Go, Therron!
(bleep) Come on, T.
-NICK: Nice job, T.
-PUNKIN: There you go, Therron!
-BECKYLEE: Yeah.
-AMY: Damn, Therron!
NICK:
Nice job, Therron.
BECKYLEE:
You're an ice climber.
I just ice-climbed on a glacier.
I feel so proud of myself
because I didn't
freak out or cry,
and I did it first.
I put myself
in an absolute great position,
because the person
I just got rid of,
Dusty, is no longer gonna be
my replacement
to go to the summit.
And now the rest of the people
are gonna look at me
and be like,
he just climbed that wall.
He's the man that I need
to get to the summit with.
-AMY: All right, Mama.
-NICK: Come on, Jeannie.
JEANNIE:
Okay.
-BECKYLEE: There you go.
-PUNKIN: There you go.
(grunting)
JEANNIE:
I'm really scared.
I'm really nervous.
Tonight, I do feel like
I have a target on my back,
because there's very few people
left in this game
and I'm the oldest one out here.
But I don't want
to show it because
I want to prove myself to them
that Jeannie can keep up and
she can get us to the summit.
NICK:
It's so cold.
BECKYLEE:
The worst-case scenario
is we're pulling over
in the wind chill
with a damn bivvy.
Yeah, I don't think
bivvies are an option.
I really don't see how we could
stay in a bivvy tonight.
-We gotta get there.
-Yeah.
NICK:
We have to make camp.
PUNKIN:
For sure.
AMY:
Hang on, Ma.
(groans)
-NICK: Nice job, Jeannie.
-(whooping)
-Nice job!
THERRON:
Two more steps! There you go!
-Hey!
-NICK: Nice!
Sorry for the moaning
and groaning, but
THERRON:
You did it.
It don't matter how cute it was.
I did it.
PUNKIN:
All right, Amy.
AMY:
Therron voted Dusty off,
but my name was
being thrown around,
so I got to give it all I got.
'Cause I don't want
to be seen as weak.
BECKYLEE:
Nice.
(Amy grunts)
(panting, grunting)
NICK:
Kick your foot in.
You got to kick them toes in.
AMY:
I have injured toes,
and we have to kick our feet
into the solid ice.
I mean, my toes are pulps
at this point.
This ridge is hard to get over.
(exclaims)
NICK:
Amy is struggling. This is not
an easy obstacle for her.
But if Amy can't make it
to the top,
everyone is gonna blame Therron.
And I skate by scot-free.
PUNKIN:
You got to kick.
There you go.
(grunting)
PUNKIN:
Get your footing.
-NICK: Get up there.
-BECKYLEE: Keep going.
PUNKIN:
Nice, Amy.
(Jeannie whoops)
-THERRON: Good job, Amy!
-JEANNIE: Amy!
Nice.
(Therron whoops)
AMY:
I did it faster than
I think anybody
anticipated that I would,
including myself.
And I hope that my team
sees my worth,
because my life in this game
depends on it.
-THERRON: Your arms tired?
-Hell yeah.
(laughter)
PUNKIN:
All right, Beckylee.
NICK:
How did your conversation
with Therron go?
which way were you leaning?
PUNKIN:
I just basically asked him
what he was thinking.
I just wasn't--
I wasn't expecting Dusty, but
Yeah.
It's crazy. We're down to six.
-I'm so happy.
-(relieved sigh)
I mean, you had
a tough decision earlier.
-Yeah.
-I appreciate you.
But you've worked really hard.
You deserve to keep
your journey going.
Yeah. Yeah.
And who was gonna cook
for me tomorrow?
(laughter)
You know we're gonna have
to vote some people off. Like
Yeah. We got to nominate
two people tonight.
-Like
-Oh. 'Cause we're going
to a checkpoint.
-But that's what I'm saying.
Like
-Yeah, we're making checkpoint.
-AMY: I mean, at this point,
we're all worthy.
-Yeah. Yeah.
(panting)
NICK:
Nice job, Beck.
THERRON:
Oh, Beckylee!
-Hey!
-Hey! (whoops)
PUNKIN: All right, Nick.
NICK:
I'm dragging a little bit.
Body's hurting.
Calves are sore.
Forearms are sore.
I'm terrified of heights.
There's a lot of stuff
I don't like
that's really taking up
a lot of my energy.
But I'm trying to keep
my eye on the prize.
We're a few days away.
PUNKIN:
There you go. Good job, Nick.
Good job.
NICK:
Whew!
Damn.
The obstacles we've done
have been terrifying.
And I'm trying not
to think about the fear.
I'm here for one reason,
and that is to win this thing,
'cause the money is going
to be life-changing for me.
I have a wonderful girlfriend.
We've been together
for about three years now.
And with this money, I can get
a really nice engagement ring.
And I am ready
to, you know, have kids
and start a family with her.
AMY:
Great job, Nick!
NICK:
She means everything to me.
She's definitely my best friend,
and she's my rock.
There's no doubt about it.
She's the one.
So, I'm gonna do
whatever it takes to win.
-BECKYLEE: Nice job, Nick.
-PUNKIN: You got it.
You looking good.
-(Punkin whoops)
-THERRON: Good job, Nick.
AMY:
Killing it, bro.
Nice job, Nick.
I'm sending the bag!
Each of us has $124,000
in our backpack.
Ready to pull!
-One, two
-PUNKIN: I ain't never had
that much money in my life,
let alone carrying
on my backpack.
three, pull!
One, two, three, pull!
PUNKIN:
I'm climbing up a wall,
and it feels like the military,
like basic training.
So, it's something
that I can do.
two, three, pull.
PUNKIN:
I'm a girl from the South,
but I'm over here
holding an ice pick
with some crampons in snow.
Like, who is this girl?
I'm a-- I'm a mountaineer now.
Y'all can call me a mountaineer
Southern belle, because--
-JEANNIE: Nice!
-AMY: Yes, ma'am.
JEANNIE:
Punkin!
(cheering, laughter)
PUNKIN:
We got to push it a little bit.
THERRON:
Um, just watch your step.
There's a lot of holes.
PUNKIN:
A lot of holes.
Please watch your step.
-Is this a dead end?
-THERRON: I guess
we're going in.
AMY:
We come to a dead end
with a hole
barely large enough
for us to fit through.
PUNKIN:
We got to go through somehow.
-THERRON: We go under.
-PUNKIN: Under?
-AMY: Really?
-BECKYLEE: I don't like
going in things
that can collapse.
AMY:
It's very daunting,
especially with all of us
harnessed into a rope together.
I'm terrified of tight spaces.
I don't want to go in.
Holy (bleep).
We're going in here?
-We're going in?
-BECKYLEE: Oh, man.
JEANNIE: I hate closed spaces.
PUNKIN: We got to move.
-AMY: I want to get out.
-THERRON: Let's go.
BECKYLEE:
Oh, my God.
THERRON: We got
a long way to go.
PUNKIN: I wish Dusty was still
here, because we would
be able to move
a little quicker.
(wind whistling)
-PUNKIN: Oh, we're going under.
-AMY: Really?
-NICK: How tight is it?
-PUNKIN: Very.
THERRON:
Yeah.
BECKYLEE:
Therron's like,
"We're at a dead end."
And it's this natural tunnel
formed by rocks
that has been covered in snow.
PUNKIN:
It's tight, y'all.
You might have to take
your bag off
and push it
as you're going through.
THERRON:
I'm gonna try to clear
some of this to make it easier.
BECKYLEE: Therron digs out
the snow and realizes
that we have to go
through the tunnel
to continue our trek.
Oh, my gosh.
(ice crackling)
Yeah. Oh, dear.
Oh, gosh.
PUNKIN:
All right, y'all, I'm going.
(grunts)
Oh, my God.
(grunts) Come on.
-NICK: Are you out?
-No, we're still in.
THERRON:
Step on the rope.
(Therron grunts)
NICK: Man, that's risky.
AMY:
Okay. I'm pushing my bag.
Oh, God. Oh, (bleep).
Okay. Wait.
Keep going.
(grunting, panting)
PUNKIN:
Hey, y'all, we kind of
have to hurry up.
I know it's scary,
but we got to move.
(Amy hyperventilating)
AMY:
Heights don't scare me
as much as claustrophobia.
Being in tight spaces.
-(breathing rapidly)
-Hey, hey, hey. (shushing)
-AMY: I don't want to do it.
-NICK: Here.
Push your bag here.
I got your bag.
AMY:
Don't mess with nature.
How do we know
that's not gonna fall?
How do I know it's not
gonna collapse on me right now?
And I just want to get out.
-You're fine. We're here.
-Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-I'm okay, I'm okay.
-I got it.
Come on. (grunts)
NICK:
Amy is having a panic attack.
This is my time to step up
and help her out.
Amy, come on. Be careful.
(Amy hyperventilating)
AMY:
Oh, God.
Nick!
PUNKIN:
All right, we're standing.
THERRON: I'm gonna keep going
so they have space.
(Amy hyperventilating)
Okay, can you give me space,
Jeannie?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-BECKYLEE: I'm just gonna panic.
-It's very narrow.
BECKYLEE:
Oh, my God.
Okay.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
NICK:
Beck, you good?
I'm coming.
Come on, Jeannie.
Okay.
Coming.
(grunts)
Oh, my God.
(Amy hyperventilating)
NICK:
Hold on. Let me get up,
-give you some space.
-THERRON: Let's go.
AMY:
I want to get out.
THERRON:
We don't have time for this.
I want out, got to get out.
I want to get out.
I got it, I got it, okay.
I want to get out,
I want to get out.
Okay.
-NICK: We're good.
Look at me. We're good.
-Sorry, guys.
-Biggest fear ever.
-NICK: We're good, we're good.
(panting)
(grunts)
BECKYLEE:
It's a terrifying feeling.
The panic sets in immediately
when you are army crawling,
pushing your backpack,
hoping that you don't get stuck.
-JEANNIE: Beckylee,
are you through?
-Almost.
I've seen too many cave movies
that end in collapsing.
It's like, all right,
this is the moment
that the rocks fall
and you're gone.
PUNKIN:
Jeannie?
Beckylee,
is Jeannie right behind you?
Yeah.
PUNKIN: We got to push it
a little bit, Jeannie.
-BECKYLEE: Come on, Jeannie.
-PUNKIN: Come on, Jeannie.
(grunts)
I'm getting caught.
Oh, okay.
-Okay.
-BECKYLEE: Can you
hand me your bag?
Yeah. Beck, can you help me?
That'd be great.
Holy (bleep).
That obstacle was tough.
I never, ever thought
it was gonna be that small
of a hole to get
to the other side.
But I did it.
Oh, geez.
And that drive is gonna
get me up this mountain.
Guys, just give me a second
to put my bag on.
Okay.
THERRON:
Mm-hmm.
PUNKIN: Nick I definitely
trust the least.
And so right now, my mind is
thinking to get Nick
out of this game.
And I need Therron
to have my back.
Watch your step.
MANU:
After successfully conquering
the glacier,
the group still has
several miles of uphill
-snow and ice to traverse.
-(Amy whoops)
And the group has now reached
such high elevations
that dangerous winds will
fight them at every step.
And at this altitude,
making each checkpoint camp
is crucial for their safety.
THERRON:
This snow goes deep, man.
Ooh.
This is hard.
(grunts)
-Whoa!
-PUNKIN: Ooh!
-BECKYLEE: Careful.
-PUNKIN: Deep hole. You okay?
-You need help?
-(grunting)
PUNKIN:
You okay, Amy?
You need a hand?
I think I got it.
Okay.
THERRON:
You good?
PUNKIN: I'm good,
but she's too far behind me.
(Amy exclaims)
-I'm coming, Punkin.
-PUNKIN: (bleep), Amy.
Oh, my foot's twisted.
(grunts)
NICK: I'm stuck in the back
of the line with Amy.
I'm stuck under a rock.
So my job is to make sure
she gets to that checkpoint.
I'll be the leader and I will
help us get up this mountain.
-All right,
-BECKYLEE: Nice job.
PUNKIN:
Nice, Nick.
-Thank you.
-AMY: Thanks, Nick.
JEANNIE: Oh, this wind
is picking up, guys!
BECKYLEE:
Yep.
(women whooping)
PUNKIN:
My feet are frozen.
Definitely,
the smaller the numbers get,
the more selfishly
you have to play.
And Therron made some
big moves in this game.
Dusty, for sure, was a big move
-for him.
-THERRON: Y'all keep pushing!
PUNKIN: But I wish Dusty was
still here because we would
be able to move a little quicker
and Amy wouldn't be
slowing us down so much.
THERRON:
We do have a time limit.
And when I voted out Dusty,
I got rid
of the strongest person that
I know would for sure
make sure we get there.
I'm scared
because I think right now
everybody else thinks
that I made the wrong decision
keeping Amy.
Oh, my God.
We got a long way to go.
(wind whistling)
NICK:
Lord Almighty.
THERRON:
Oh, my God.
Y'all keep pushing!
PUNKIN:
Camp is close.
Come on, y'all.
Oh, this wind!
THERRON:
You know, we just eliminated
our strongest person
and we're already behind.
(bleep)
I made the wrong decision.
PUNKIN: One foot in front
of the other, baby.
Coming, guys. Sorry.
Good job.
JEANNIE:
God, it's so windy.
Oh, my God, is that it?
-PUNKIN: We can see it.
-(whooping)
-JEANNIE: Yeah!
-AMY: Checkpoint!
-(Therron exhales)
-JEANNIE: Camp!
BECKYLEE: We finally get
to the checkpoint.
First off,
we're freezing, the wind
is, like,
only continuing to build
and it is so miserably cold
that I don't even want
to, like, have conversations.
(Jeannie exhales)
Oh, there's a fire.
(Punkin whoops)
NICK:
Nice job, everybody.
I can't believe we made it.
(exhales)
Wow. My ass never felt so good.
AMY:
It's not easy for any of us,
but when you're a little older
than most of the group,
and you are not
as physically fit as most
of the group,
it's twice as hard.
And if I'm still here
making checkpoints
and hanging
with everybody during
the tough stuff, I 100% believe
I have a chance and I deserve
to be at the summit.
Let's make a toast, guys.
To the best 11 days
of our lives.
I swear, I don't hang out
with too many friends.
I'm always busy doing
the mom thing and working.
But it was so nice to take this
time out and really appreciate
hanging out with friends, man.
It's awesome, you know?
All right, cheers, everybody.
Clank, clank, clank, clank,
clank, clank!
PUNKIN: You're like, yes,
we finally reached a checkpoint.
But then
it's kind of like a doomsday
at the same time,
because you're like, okay,
we know we have
to vote someone off.
And with already losing Dusty,
we're about to lose
two people in one day.
You know, a few days ago,
I asked this group
how many of you had
climbed a mountain?
Who put their hand up?
-No.
-Nobody.
Nobody.
You just climbed a glacier.
-Yeah. Yeah.
-Crazy.
-We did it.
-PUNKIN: Crazy
to even think about.
-Yeah.
-Yep.
-MANU: Congratulations.
-Thank you.
So before you reached
the glacier,
you had a visit
from the mountain's keeper.
-Yep.
-NICK: Yeah, we did.
-Unfortunately.
-NICK: Mountain keeper
dropped a bag
and it became a free-for-all.
And Therron was
the first to the bag.
You got the opportunity to vote
somebody off the mountain.
What did that feel like?
I just went with my gut feeling.
I feel like, both physically
and socially, Dusty
was just better at this game
than I was.
MANU:
Was Dusty somebody
who could have helped
this group get to the summit?
Absolutely. We know he's
a great physical competitor and
that was the hardest part
about weighing the decision.
And I had to put faith in people
who have shown time and time
again that they will continue
to fight and they will
rise to the occasion.
Well, I hope you made
the right decision.
I think that
the group can do things
without someone
who does everything for us.
Well, tonight you're gonna
have to make another decision.
To steal someone's money and
to vote them off this mountain.
With six of you left, it's
like a roulette wheel right now.
I feel like the ball
could land anywhere.
You're all looking very nervous.
I'm gonna give you a little
bit of time to think about it.
Then I'll come back
for the vote.
One of you is gonna leave
this mountain tonight.
Good luck.
NICK:
So Therron took out Dusty.
Uh, obviously, that puts
a big target on my back.
It's very clear who the alpha
is in this group now.
PUNKIN: Therron is playing
such a messy game right now.
I love him,
but Therron didn't give me any
heads-up
that it was gonna be Dusty.
So it just made me
feel like, "Damn.
Am I as close with Therron
as I think I am?"
AMY:
I'm pretty sure the two names
on the chopping block tonight
are mine and Jeannie's.
I mean, if it comes down
to saving my life
for Jeannie's,
I have to vote Jeannie
off the mountain tonight.
I'm not going down
without a fight.
(wind whistling)
(wind whistling)
Do you know
who you're gonna vote for?
No. I don't even know what names
are being thrown around.
I know. I don't, either.
AMY:
I think by the way everybody's
split up, we can tell.
Yeah.
I'm not ready to go.
It's not how many times
I've fallen down.
It's how many times
I get back up.
Therron.
Therron said today
when he voted Dusty off
the mountain that his second
consideration was me.
So it would be fair for me
to say Therron's name tonight.
JEANNIE:
That's a fire.
I am so nervous.
Oh
When you're sitting there,
you're about to get voted off,
you just say
whatever you could say
to help your case
and to not get eliminated.
Yesterday, I really,
really, really struggled.
I'm sorry. I'm real-- I'm sorry
I'm holding everybody up.
I'm freaking out!
Walk off the cliff!
I-- It's a game, so I need to do
what feels right for me,
and you know what?
I work at Trader Joe's,
so I've been working
with younger people for years.
And now I need to make
a big twist in this game
and turn on Team Mom.
I know Amy has
a strong social game,
-but I'm so freaking determined.
-Yeah.
Like, I mean, my God,
if nobody saw that
through all these 12 days
I mean, don't you want someone
who's determined,
who's not gonna slow
the group down to do this?
-Yeah.
-But, you know,
I asked her if you had
to pick a third name.
She said she would pick you.
-(stammers)
-Wait, so Amy said
she would say my name?
-Yeah, yeah.
-(laughs)
Girl, bye.
My jaw just hit the floor.
Did Amy just rally the troops,
and I'm about to be blindsided?
I can't let that happen.
Jeannie just told me--
Jeannie asked Amy,
if she had to say
a different name,
who would it be?
And she said me.
-Wait, what?
-Oh
-Amy said that.
BECKYLEE:
Oh.
THERRON: I think
Amy's gonna nominate me.
BECKYLEE:
I'm in a tricky position
because I have a final three
with me, Therron and Punkin.
But I also have a final three
with me, Therron and Nick.
I don't know who I would bring
at this moment, Punkin or Nick.
If I lose an opportunity
to vote out Nick now,
I might not get another chance.
PUNKIN:
Me and Nick,
we kind of run in
the same alliance a little bit,
but I feel like
if he had an opportunity
to take someone out,
I feel like my name is the one
that he would say,
and so I'd rather take him out
before he has the opportunity
to take me out,
and so I got to get him out.
I just think that
if Nick goes home,
we-- me, you and Therron--
have a higher chance
of getting to a bag
-than Amy or Jeannie.
-BECKYLEE: Uh-huh.
-I kind of want Amy.
-Okay.
I-I see your point about Nick,
-and I think
he eventually would do that.
-Mm-hmm.
But I don't think you have
anything to worry about,
because then, like, we have
the numbers going forward.
PUNKIN:
Yes, we're an alliance,
but we're all playing this game
as a single person.
We came in by ourselves.
So hopefully all three of us
can make it to the summit,
but we don't know.
So maybe some trust
has to be broken
or some promises
have to be broken, um,
in order to make it.
Are you, like, "Oh, 100%"?
-Like, "I feel like
I need to get Nick out"?
-I do.
-Really?
-I really do feel that way.
I would love to see that war
come out and them duke it out.
And then whoever wins,
you know, no one's mad at me
because
they took themselves out.
(wind whistling)
-PUNKIN: I'm gonna be honest.
-NICK: Yeah.
PUNKIN: I don't know where
I stand with you.
-Okay.
-We never really
-kind of talked game.
-Yeah. True.
I know we've always said
we were going to,
-and then we kind of
just never did.
-That's true.
And so
you just make me nervous,
and I don't know, like, where I
stand with you, so let me know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
PUNKIN:
I just was straight up.
I'm like, "You make me nervous."
I don't know
if you're coming for me
or you're not coming for me.
And he was just like, "Yeah."
And I'm like,
"Well, what does 'yeah' mean?
Like, are you coming for me
or not?"
-I think
-Amy.
Amy is better to get out now.
We'll rock and roll
to the next one
-Okay.
-is what I think.
-Okay. I'm down with that.
-You?
I mean, I think he's still
coming for me,
let's be real.
But I don't think
I'm high priority for him
right this instant.
Okay. So we solid?
-Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
-Okay, cool.
NICK:
Punkin, to me,
is still just
a little bit of a wild card.
She does not trust me.
I think she's closer
with Becky and Therron than me,
and that worries me because
I'm on the outside looking in.
-How'd it go?
-Good.
So (sighs) I don't know.
I'd rather see Punkin go home
tonight.
I think the three of us
are most important.
For me, it's 99% in my mind,
if it's just Amy
and just Jeannie,
we're 99% us three making it.
That's all. I mean, I don't have
no issues with Punkin.
I don't think--
We just had a really good talk.
She said she thought we all
Are we all good with that
forward?
-So I-I trust her. Um
-THERRON: Mm-hmm.
To me, she's just
a little more of a wild card,
'cause I know Amy and Jeannie
won't win anything.
-But did you see, we vote out
-Dude, you lost her--
We vote out,
we vote out Dusty.
Three seconds later,
Amy can't walk through the snow.
-And I'm like, "Girl, I got to
deal with that tomorrow, too?"
-I know.
Well,
maybe there's a competition,
and she physically can't win
and she can't finish.
But then that means
we lose the money.
Four out of six people
are being considered
to be kicked out of the mountain
tonight.
And that's a very scary feeling,
right?
Like, that's more than half.
That's more of a majority
that are actually, like,
being thrown out there.
You know
So it's like, to me,
it's like
I can go either way.
BECKYLEE:
If I vote out Nick now, I think
me, Therron and Punkin
could probably
coast on to final three.
THERRON:
It's so hard to say
who I'd love to see at the top,
but my soul doesn't want to have
to make another tough decision
of, like, getting rid of
someone's dreams.
I think that we're in
for an interesting night.
(wind whistling)
MANU:
Okay, guys, time's up.
Let's take a seat.
The sun's going down.
-Oh, yeah, sure is.
-You know what happens
in a western?
-What?
-When the sun goes down?
-JEANNIE: No.
-A shoot-out.
Yeah.
We've come to that point again.
It's time
to steal somebody's money
and vote them off the mountain.
All of the alliances
in the world
aren't gonna get you
to the top of this mountain.
The only thing
that's gonna get you
to the top of this mountain
is yourselves.
-Jeannie.
-JEANNIE: Yes.
-You've come a long way
from New York.
-Yeah.
-(laughs)
-Do you think
you're gonna stick around,
or you think
you're gonna be going home?
Well, of course,
everybody wants to stick around.
I mean, since day one,
I've been just
thinking about that summit.
Beckylee, do you think
alliances have shifted?
Yes and no.
You know, I-I feel like I have
a really good relationship
with everyone.
But the thing is, like,
we don't know
what the hell's gonna happen.
He may change his mind
in a heartbeat,
and I'm gone.
And that's a very scary feeling.
It makes every vote out
a scary position,
no matter what.
-MANU: Nick?
-Yeah?
One alpha male got voted off
today.
There's two guys, four girls.
-JEANNIE: (chuckles) Hell yeah.
-AMY: Hell yeah.
-Yeah.
-This vote could go any way.
-That's true.
I don't think anyone really
knows what's about to happen.
Well, guys,
I said to you already,
who's got your back?
Or who's got a knife
at your back?
I've given you time
to think about it.
What names have come up?
I'm nominating Therron tonight.
Why?
Because I think
Therron's playing
a pretty flawless game
right now.
He leads when he needs to.
He makes tough decisions
when he needs to.
I've played an honest game,
and I've played
a trustworthy and loyal game.
He's my strongest competition.
What about the decision
that he made earlier today?
The decision he made earl--
He was very honest with me.
He said there were other names
that came up besides Dusty's,
and he said,
"Amy, you were one of them."
I was also--
I'm gonna nominate Amy.
When the decision was between
voting you off or Dusty off,
I really had
to weigh that decision.
But then we started walking and
it slowed the whole group down.
And sometimes I get nervous
that if this is a game
where we have to get there
in 14 days,
is the extra time
we're taking to slow down
going to hinder us
from getting to the top?
That's not fair.
I have busted my ass
like every one of you.
-Okay, I didn't say you didn't.
-And I deserve--
No, but I deserve to go up
that mountain with you guys.
MANU:
Amy.
Can you make it
to reach the summit?
Absolutely, I can.
I've made it
through every storm
in my life so far,
and I'm damn sure not gonna quit
today or tomorrow.
We will make it on time.
(voice breaking):
I will never let you guys down.
Most of the time,
I wanted to quit.
I didn't quit
because I saw y'all,
and I knew that
you were counting on me
to make it to checkpoint
and to do this
and to do that,
I didn't do things for myself.
I did it for you guys.
We wouldn't make it in time.
We've not missed checkpoint once
because of me.
Not once.
I wouldn't give up now.
Out of you four here,
is there another name
that you'd like to nominate?
Everybody just
take a look at Amy.
Think about everything
she's done to get here.
Take a look at Therron
what he's contributed,
and let's make a vote.
Raise your hand if it's Therron
you'd like
to vote off the mountain.
That's one vote.
Raise your hand
if you'd like to vote Amy
off the mountain.
-(sniffles)
-(Jeannie mouths)
(wind whistling)
Amy
your time on this mountain
has come to an end.
I came here and did exactly--
no, I came here
and did more than
I ever thought I could do.
You're a mom,
you put yourself second,
-third, and fourth
to needs of your family.
-Yeah, yeah.
Not doing this for myself,
I told you day one.
I'm so damn proud
of the person walking
off this mountain.
And I do, I love each
and every one of you.
I really, really do.
Go grab your gear,
bring the money
back to the group,
say your goodbyes,
and you have
to make your way home.
Thank you.
It was an awesome experience.
I don't even recognize
the person leaving.
I've been a person
who doubts myself a lot.
Although, I-- You know,
I exude this confidence
to the world,
I have this little self-doubt
in the back of my mind that
I don't know it's there anymore,
and if it is,
it's not loud enough
for me to hear.
-And then there were five.
-Then there were five.
-Good luck, guys.
-OTHERS: Thank you.
MANU:
Tomorrow's gonna be
a very difficult day.
AMY:
I'm a bigger threat
than any of them thought
when I first came here,
and I think they see my fight
and that scares them
'cause they know
I'll stop at nothing
to win this whole game.
I'm so proud of myself.
BECKYLEE:
Therron is somebody
who is extremely likable,
very charismatic.
He plays not only with his heart
but mostly with his head.
And I think
that's a respectful game.
And so I think
when Amy said that,
it kind of at least
made me pause and think,
you know, is Therron a threat?
Does Therron need to leave
before final three?
-PUNKIN: Top five!
-(cheering)
BECKYLEE: We started with 16.
We're down to five.
JEANNIE:
Wow. We are so close
to the summit, man.
-Oh, my goodness.
-BECKYLEE: This is it.
-(wind whistling)
-PUNKIN: Oh, this wind!
THERRON:
This wind is blowing, baby.
(Punkin groans)
-SAFETY OFFICER: Hey, guys.
Out of the huddling.
-JEANNIE: This is nice.
We got to get out of here.
-BECKYLEE: What?
-THERRON: What do you mean?
-Oh, wow.
-Oh, my God.
This wind's gonna pick up
big time.
Gonna have a bunch of rain
and then snow.
Oh, God.
JEANNIE: Okay.
SAFETY OFFICER:
Quick as you can.
We haven't got any time, really.
-(Jeannie groans)
-NICK: Damn.
JEANNIE:
Oh, my God. This is crazy.
NICK:
Come on, Jeannie.
THERRON:
Oh, God. (groans) I hate this.
MANU:
A fierce 24-hour storm
approaches
that presents a serious threat.
NICK:
All right, let's go.
-THERRON: Becky!
-Yeah, I'm coming.
MANU:
Right now, the priority is
getting to safety.
NICK:
We got to evacuate immediately,
so we're grabbing all our stuff.
It was definitely scary.
I am very worried.
We're not truly safe.
So it is very stressful.
-(bleep)
-(groaning)
JEANNIE:
Oh, my God!
(Nick groans)
-I just, I just-- Go.
-Come on.
JEANNIE:
Come on, Beckylee.
THERRON:
It's crazy. We got to go.
This is serious.
Oh, God.

Everyone is your ally.
-(chuckles)
BECKYLEE:
Nick. Nick. Nick.
JEANNIE:
Here comes trouble!
BECKYLEE:
I have to get that bag.
(grunting)
I just don't trust Nick.
I promise I was not.
Interesting.
The tension in the air
is palpable.
When you're so close,
all you want to do is
get to that finish line.
It would be so painful
to fall short this close.
(wind whistling)
