The Arrangement (2017) s01e09 Episode Script
Sins
1 Previously on "The Arrangement": I made you, and I love you, but I will end you in a heartbeat.
How hard did you fight for me? How hard did you try to make a different deal with her? My job is a lot easier when he has a clear head, and this lover's quarrel that's between the two of you does not help me right now.
Amelia Briggs has replaced Megan in "The Kill Plan.
" - "Technicolor Highway.
" - This script is so us.
There was a time when you and I came first.
No matter what we did, or who we did it with, we made sure that we were okay.
When did that change? I'm a journalist.
I'm doing an undercover piece on the Institute.
It's about my stepbrother.
He used to come in my bedroom at night.
How is this possible? You have a security system.
Maybe they're looking to make a point.
The point being what? That they can come in anytime they want.
[ominous music.]
When we talk about the stories of our lives here at IHM, we're always talking about rewriting.
But what if we didn't have to unlearn? What if our stories of fulfillment started at the very beginning when we were kids? Now, for all of us, that's just a hypothetical, but for the next generation, that is a real possibility.
Because with the right tools, we can foster new lives that are virtually free of non-productives.
I'm talking about the kind of tools that will come as naturally to your kids as reading, writing, taking selfies.
And that's why I'm thrilled to introduce to you to IHM's new developmental program which we call the First Life Initiative.
And I'm proud to present to you the new state-of-the-art facility that will be its home.
Together, we can make sure our children's experience of the world is unfiltered and authentic.
Imagine an education where children grow up curious and uninhibited by traditional rote educational techniques where they are free to question and explore.
Who wouldn't want to live in a world like that? Now, obviously, none of this is possible without the help of IHM's most important members, and that's why I'm asking you all to join me to help make this a reality.
[applause.]
Hey, how was your weekend? Pretty good.
You do anything fun? Nah, just laid low.
Nice.
Guys, can I, uh, can I get a quick level from you? Oh, there's no dialogue.
I believe the script calls for some, um, noises.
Oh! Copy that.
[moaning.]
[moaning intensifies.]
How's that? Yeah, that'll work.
[all chuckling.]
- No foam, skinny latte? - Yeah, thanks.
It's you, Megan Morrison.
Wow.
Hey, uh, you holding up okay? What? You haven't seen, um Ah, shit.
That doesn't bother you, does it? I thought it was funny.
I mean, the picture is so obviously a production still, which I tried to explain to the guy at the register, but I think he just felt sorry for me.
You might want to be worried about who leaked the photo, though.
Ugh, my publicists leaked the photo.
I'm just surprised they did it so early.
Publicists? So you knew about this? Uh, sort of, it's kind of complicated.
- Kyle! - I should've told you.
We're okay, right? What? Oh, my God.
Yes, we're okay.
Of course we are, I mean, you think we're okay, right? I thought so, but you're freaking me out a little bit.
I'm sorry! We are great.
Look, let's take a drive.
I need to show you something.
It's really great to see you again, Kyle.
Are Terence and DeAnn going to be joining us? No.
No, not today.
I just wanna get Megan up to speed on the PR plan.
Sure thing.
- We're all fans, by the way.
- Thank you.
Now, I know we jumped the gun a little on the rollout, but there are a ton of fall releases, so we thought it would be a good idea to get a head start on the campaign.
What exactly are these? Potential ideas? Oh, no.
It's one entire story.
It goes from left to right.
Because the love story in "The Kill Plan" is so compelling, we're using a romantic triangle to build intent to see.
It's all timed to build maximum interest in Kyle and Amelia for the release this fall.
If SM does well, it can really give the per-screen numbers a nice bump on opening weekend.
SM? Stands for Stealth Marketing.
So our relationship falling apart, this is all to promote the movie? Yes, but we do get you back together in time for the premiere.
We're thinking things eventually get a little crazy, you guys will decide to take a weekend away to reconnect in Paris.
The focus groups always love Paris.
So you knew about this? The whole thing? Just the general shape of it.
It's all a part of a bigger discussion about the PR campaign for the movie.
Uh, posters, TV ads, talk shows.
Honestly, I try to stay out of the details.
But the details are what they're telling the public about us.
That doesn't matter to you? Well, I don't want to come off as a bad person.
I make that very clear, but I let them do their thing, and I do mine.
I don't see how you could separate the two.
Easy.
One's fake.
The other one's real.
It's not that simple.
They're our names and our images, so it's not entirely fake, and your publicists are writing the script, which essentially means that you are.
- Megan - Kyle, they work for you.
And what if something actually real happens? Does that just get ignored? Well, I guess that depends.
On what? On whether or not it fits into the narrative.
Wow, okay.
Megan, I, uh I should've given you more of a heads-up.
I'm sorry, but we're talking about a marketing plan, not our lives.
Our lives are controlled by a contract that we signed with each other, remember that? There are stages in that, too.
- That's completely different.
- Maybe.
Look, don't get me wrong I love our life.
It's just sometimes it feels like someone else is planning it.
[somber music.]
[dramatic rock music.]
[unsettling music.]
You were looking for me? Yeah, I was just going over the First Life donations.
- And? - Disappointing.
I thought we'd do better.
Well, you know, these things don't happen overnight.
I'm sure the money will come.
Not if you keep hijacking the financing.
I just spoke to Mitch Kirkland.
He said he's investing in your movie.
When did that happen? Okay, yes, we spoke after your presentation the other day, but he came to me.
What was I supposed to do, talk him out of it? Get him on board with this project.
Oh, come on, Terence.
Mitch doesn't give a shit about progressive education.
He only comes here to placate his little trophy wife.
[sighs.]
And here, I was so moved by your impassioned plea for us to be a team again.
Let's get real.
If you and Kyle were on speaking terms, he would be helping you with this, and you would be raising a lot more money.
I'm well aware of that.
That doesn't explain why you're not helping.
I am helping.
Kyle loved the script that I gave him, and that puts us back on solid ground.
And right now, that's the only thing keeping him close.
Oh, my God.
I honestly don't think I have a single tear left in me.
We shot that confession scene all day, over and over.
You look nice.
I thought we'd go to dinner.
Our table's waiting for us at Nobu.
Can't we just order in instead? I'm exhausted.
I get it.
A little sake, black cod, sunset over the beach - it's hard work.
- [small laugh.]
Kyle Trust me.
This'll get you turned right around.
[energetic music.]
[engine revving.]
Why are we stopping? - Shit.
- What? [groans.]
Agh! There's a shimmy in the front fork.
What does that mean? Well, it means I either dropped a bolt, or the axle's broke.
[sighs.]
Either way, it's not safe to ride.
Are you kidding? Believe me, I wish I was.
[beep.]
Hey, what are you doing? Calling an Uber.
No, no, don't don't do that.
- Who're you texting? - Zach.
He's gotta have somebody come out here and pick up this bike before we can leave.
That could take an hour.
Are we just going to stand on the side of the road? Yeah, no, I guess not.
Look, why don't we take a walk on the beach? I mean, we could still catch the sunset.
Either that, or we just wait here.
[Wild Child's "Meadows" plays.]
If I said I'm ready now Would you darling show me how To blindly give it all out loud Until I'm wearing thin Could you rid your devils? Could you stay and settle down? Just to pass the time with me What is that? That's a change of plans.
- Come on.
- Kyle You like it? It's beautiful.
And you totally had me fooled with the whole motorcycle thing.
But you don't like it? No, I-I I love it.
It it's just I don't need some sort of, you know, grand romantic gesture whenever I have a problem with something, and I probably don't even need you to fix it.
I just need to know that you hear me.
So as apologies go, this is too much? Do you hate me? No.
I love you.
And this isn't an apology.
Oh? I know it's a lot, and not everything has to be a grand production, but it has to be done right, and I don't know any other way to do this.
Do what? What what are you talking about? This.
- Now, there's, uh - [gasps.]
Now, I think there's a date in the contract when this is actually supposed to happen.
Uh Kyle [bright music.]
I've waited my entire life to love someone the way I love you.
Every day, you continue to inspire me and humble me and leave me breathless.
[breathless laugh.]
So when I stand here and tell you that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I need you to know that this is real.
- I should not be standing.
- [laughing.]
I want us to be a family, Megan.
Will you marry me? - [laughing.]
Yes.
- Yeah? Yes.
[both laughing.]
Okay.
Here you go.
- All right.
- [giggles.]
- I love you, Kyle.
- I love you, too.
- Oh, and, KyMelia? - Goodbye.
We hardly knew you.
I just want to say I love you both, and I'm very happy that you're happy But? Amelia looks like a loser now.
These rumors were supposed to go on for months.
She was counting on getting a major bump from this, so now her people are furious.
Mmm.
Sorry.
No, you're not.
Which is fine but now I have fires, major fires, to put out.
Not only with Amelia's reps, but with the studio people, instead of doing what I should be doing, which is raising more money for the movie you want to direct.
[sighs.]
You should've told me first.
[phone buzzes.]
And that's Adam Westfeldt.
Thank you very much.
Hello, Adam.
How are you? - Okay, take a breath.
- [sighs.]
Just count to ten.
You feel bad about this? No.
No, no, I feel great.
It's just, uh just weird.
What is? It's weird that I haven't talked to Terence.
He's usually the first person I call when something big happens.
Maybe you should call him, then.
No, I think it's just about what's familiar, you know? It doesn't mean I should.
You have me.
Forever.
And then, I had to absorb Adam Westfeldt's tantrum.
Two hours of him telling me that he wasn't going to let Kyle out of his deal.
Again.
- How did he seem? - Like an eight-year-old.
No, I meant Kyle.
Did he seem happy? Sure.
I mean, he certainly didn't care about the shitstorm he created.
Well, that's not necessarily happiness.
Did he give you any details about the proposal? - Was it strictly impulse, or - You miss him.
That's not what this is.
I'm just trying to figure out if he gave this any serious thought.
Well, I didn't probe, but I'm sure you could call him and ask him yourself.
No.
We should take them out to dinner, actually.
Somewhere nice.
- The four of us? - Yeah.
Just got engaged.
It's a major life event.
He's been a fundamental part of the Institute.
I think it will look strange if we didn't share this with him.
So, when you say "nice," do you mean somewhere where we can be seen? It wouldn't hurt.
But he's not gonna accept an invitation from me.
[dramatic music.]
Zev, you shouldn't be here.
Yeah, well, I am here.
Your plan wasn't foolproof.
And cut! Fantastic, Kyle.
Let's do one more.
This time in Swedish.
[both chuckling.]
That's a wrap on "The Kill Plan", everybody! [cheers and applause.]
Thank you for an incredible shoot! Yeah! So, you feel good? - Mm, I do.
- You should.
With all this, it just makes me hungry to do our movie.
- Me too.
- Sorry to break this up, but can I have a quick word with you? It's very nice of her to come, considering that this was supposed to be her movie.
Yup, she's amazing.
What's up? Well, Terence would like the four of us to have dinner to celebrate your engagement.
He sent you to ask me? Well, you and I actually have a functioning relationship.
Yeah, well, we almost didn't.
Yeah, well we can thank "Technicolor Highway" for saving us all.
Look, I don't know what happened between you and Terence because neither of you will talk to me about it, but I I'm not going to have dinner with Terence.
Okay, I promised I would ask, and now I have.
He didn't even like Megan.
He is just afraid this train is going to leave the station without him.
So I'll take that as a no? Yeah.
No.
I've got everything in my life that I need.
Everything? That's a lot of pressure to put on one relationship.
Let me know when it airs, and congratulations.
Oh, thank you.
I should say the same.
Oh, hey, Amelia.
Thank you.
And congratulations to you too on all of this.
Well, thanks.
That's quite a ring.
Oh.
So what are you promoting? Well, what do you mean? You must have something coming up, right? Otherwise, why would Kyle do this right now? Uh, well, I'd say he did it because he wants to marry me, but you'd have to ask him.
Okay.
Well, no offense.
I didn't realize you guys actually had something "real.
" But all good.
Are you really being snarky with me right now because your marketing plan fell apart? [lightly tense music.]
You know what, forget it.
I shouldn't have said anything.
Wait, no, no, no.
Amelia, wait a second, wait.
Were you hoping that the fake relationship would turn into something real? Why wouldn't I? I mean, we're in Hollywood, aren't we? Everything's a little bit fake here.
No, not everything.
You keep telling yourself that.
I wanted to say thank you, and return this.
Why would you do something like that? I really believe in the First Life Initiative, Terence.
It's fantastic.
But this is too much money for the work I did.
I actually didn't expect to get paid at all.
Let me ask you a question.
Whose metric do you use to determine your value? Because it isn't mine.
Even if I was doing it pro bono, it would still be billable hours, and, I mean, partners in my firm don't even make this much.
Well, that's too bad for them.
I put a great deal of value in what you did for me.
The check is an expression of that.
Well, it just feels a little excessive.
Okay.
If I'm really being honest, it was also a bit of an incentive.
For what exactly? I need a permanent in-house counsel someone whose abilities will be worth the very generous salary I'm gonna pay.
Oh.
So this is about my abilities? What else would it be about? This big check, this big job offer I can't help but wonder if any of it would be on the table if I wasn't close with Megan.
That's old thinking for you.
I'm talking about timing.
I know you've had a falling out with Kyle.
Maybe you're looking for a connection point.
You see yourself as a connection point to Megan and Kyle? - That's not what I said.
- 'Cause I don't.
I think you're smart, and I think you're talented.
And I think this is the kind of fulfilling work that's been missing in your life.
So the question is: Do you or do you not want to be at the center of your own story? [edgy music.]
Wait, what? It's a little wrap gift to myself.
I had no idea you even played.
Yeah, there was a time in my 20s when that's pretty much all I did.
Huh.
I learn something new about you every day.
[chuckles.]
I'll play you a little something after dinner.
Zach, is Jeff outside with the Suburban? Yeah, the car's outside, and, um apparently, Amelia Briggs checked into Cedars today.
What happened? Her reps are saying it's exhaustion.
Oh, isn't that usually code for something worse? Nervous breakdown, overdose Or she's fine and she's just trying to reclaim the narrative.
Oh, well, but that's pretty cynical.
It happens all the time.
Okay, what if this time it's something serious? Do we really want to go out to dinner? - It wouldn't look very good.
- Megan, remember we promised we weren't gonna let people plan our lives.
Let's go eat.
[mellow folk/pop music.]
So I pitched Gunther "Technicolor Highway.
" Which he loved.
And he started tell me about these lenses from the '70s that he retrofitted for today's cameras.
Ask me why that's really cool.
Hey, I'm talking about our movie here.
Am I boring you? No, I'm sorry, I'm just thinking about Amelia, and it bums me out.
Because you think there's actually something wrong? Because I don't want to just assume that there isn't.
And I get it's totally possible that her reps - cooked something up, but - Probable, actually.
Just being realistic.
Well, we had a moment, her and I, the other night, and she's more upset about everything than you think.
Maybe you're forgetting the effect you have on people.
I just don't want us to be that couple that's completely jaded about everything.
All right, I'll tell you what.
How about [clears throat.]
I make a call to see how she's doing.
I think that's a great idea.
Okay.
I'll be right back.
DeAnn, hey.
No, I'm just out to dinner with Megan.
Look, I got a question for you.
Uh, do you know the real story on Amelia? You know, this whole, uh, hospital thing.
Wait, what? [folk/pop music continues.]
- Hey, Megan.
- Excuse me? Long time.
Life's been treating you well.
I read about you and your big movie star boyfriend while I was still inside.
That was a surprise.
You have the wrong person.
I don't know you.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
I was in prison for six years because of you.
We're not we're not gonna do that.
- I gotta - No, get down.
I've been in your house.
That was you? I was angry.
I wanted blood, to be honest.
And then I saw the place, and I realized there are better ways to get payback.
[heavy breathing.]
W What do you want from me? You know, when the cops first told me that I killed Evan, I believed them.
Shit, I was wasted.
Passed out, uh What do I know? But then little by little, things started to become clear.
I kept hearing fighting in my head, and a girl yelling, and then I remembered you were there with him.
I didn't kill Evan.
You did.
- That's not true.
- Bullshit! But all that matters is when I go public, people are going to start to wonder: Did Kyle West's fiancé really smash her stepbrother's head in? [tense music.]
$5 million in this account in the next 24 hours, or I start talking to everybody.
It was nice to see you again.
It's been too long.
[thump.]
So apparently, Amelia takes medication for migraines, and there was a mix-up in the pill bottles, and she combined it with booze.
No bueno, but she's stable now so we can go see her if you want.
Actually, I'm really not feeling well.
I should be the one that feels bad, not you.
No, no, it's not that.
I think it was the food.
I just wanna go home.
You okay? Okay.
[edgy music continues.]
All right, you get into bed and I'll make you some tea.
I'm gonna wash up first.
Okay.
Come on, come on.
[edgy music continues.]
Green tea fine? Uh, yeah, yeah, anything's fine.
[softly.]
God damn it, answer! If you need anything during the night, I'm right here.
You maybe wanna turn that off? It's Shaun.
Boyfriend emergency.
Just tell her you're not feeling well.
[tense, edgy music continues.]
Who's gonna rule this world? Who's gonna rule this world? Who's gonna rule this world? Does he even have any proof? He doesn't need proof, he has a story.
All he has to do is post it on social media.
Do you remember what happened with the photo leak? It'll be everywhere.
Except now, I'll be a murderer.
So deny it.
It's not gonna help.
People will believe what they want to believe, - and they'll wanna believe this - No, Megan And the thing is, Shaun they're right.
It was self-defense.
It doesn't matter.
I can't play chicken with this guy.
I need to make him go away.
Quietly.
Because if Kyle finds out, this whole thing is over.
You sure about that? I mean, he's the one person who might have $5 million lying around.
[scoffs.]
You think I should ask Kyle to pay him off? I think you need to at least explore the option.
How could I possibly even tell him something like this? I lied to him, Shaun.
I looked him in the eye, and I signed the contract.
- He loves you, Megan.
- I put everything he has at risk.
And you warned me.
- You warned me, and I - No, no.
I didn't believe you, and, God, I'm so stupid.
Okay, okay, Megan.
You cannot waste time beating yourself up - about this right now.
- I know I know, I know.
If you don't want to go to Kyle for help, fine.
You need to go talk to Terence.
[scoffs.]
You think Terence is gonna help me? He's gonna tell me I'm in breach and watch me burn.
He doesn't want this out there any more than you do.
This could blow back on the Institute, too.
Are you kidding, he would be thrilled to get rid of me.
And I'm sure he'd find a way to spin it around like everything else.
You don't know that, Megan.
Maybe I should talk to him for you.
What makes you think Terence is gonna listen to you? Because I'm working for him now.
You're what? I'm gonna be in-house counsel for the Institute.
Oh, no, Megan - What? - Don't freak out, please.
- It's just - Wait.
You're his lawyer now? No, I-I shouldn't have told you any of this.
Yes, you should have.
I can help you.
Shaun, you cannot tell Terence.
- Megan, I would never - Please, please promise me - that you won't say anything.
- Okay! - Please! - Okay, Megan, I wouldn't - I promise.
- Oh, God.
- Megan! - No, I have to figure this out.
[tense music.]
[phone rings.]
Well, when Mitch signed on, he brought three other investors, so it's official.
The financing is in place.
You're gonna make your movie.
Oh, it's great.
It's great, yeah.
Hey, uh have you heard from Megan today, by the way? Uh, no, why? [sighs.]
Well, I can't reach her, and she said she wasn't feeling well last night, and she got up and left really early this morning, and I don't know, it's just it's weird.
Well, she just got engaged, Kyle.
I'm sure she's got a lot on her mind.
Forget it, she's here.
Okay, talk to you soon.
You okay? What happened? I'm in trouble and I've made a horrible mistake.
Wait, wait, what do you mean? What are you talking about? Megan? What is it? Do you remember what I told you about my stepbrother about what he did to me? Of course.
Well, I didn't tell you the whole story.
Um He was killed about six years ago and some guy went to jail for it.
And now he's out, and he's tracked me down.
What's he want? He wants money, he wants a lot of money, or he's gonna say that I'm the one who killed my stepbrother.
[scoffs.]
That's bullshit, he can't do that.
Why would he do that? You know what, we're gonna shut him down.
- No, Kyle - I'll call my lawyer right now.
- Kyle, stop, stop, listen! - I'll take a Listen.
What he's saying is true.
No.
It's true.
No, no.
No, no, no way.
[tense music.]
After my mother died, all I could think about was was finding Evan and confronting him for what he did to me.
And he he was in Hong Kong at the time, and I just kind of showed up at his doorstep, and when I finally had enough drinks in me to talk about what happened, he snapped.
And he attacked me, and I fought back, and it it just it just happened.
And I was scared, I didn't know what to do so I ran, and then and then I found out this other guy went to jail for it, and and that's my real story.
[exhales.]
I know, I'm sorry.
I should have never signed the contract.
Does this guy have any proof? Does he need it? I mean, he he could hurt us regardless.
He could hurt you, which is what I'm most concerned about.
How much money does he want? He wants $5 million by tonight.
- Jesus Christ! - I know, Kyle.
I'm so sorry to do this to you.
Do what? Lie to me? Or the $5 million blackmail? Both.
[groans.]
All right, we're gonna have to deal with this.
[exhales.]
First thing is the money.
I-I have it.
I just don't know if I can get it by tonight.
I'm gonna have to move some stuff around.
All right, and and and the other thing, the lie.
I know.
I know, I'm sorry.
I will go away, and you will never have to see me again.
Megan, that's that's not what I want.
Hey, look.
I love you, okay? And I'm not gonna lose you over this.
I gotta figure out this money thing.
What can I do to help? I don't know.
I don't know.
I gotta go see my business manager.
Okay, and what if he can't get the money tonight? Look, one step at a time, okay? Just let me try.
This is what people do in scandals.
Payoffs happen all the time.
Mm Yeah.
Wait, Kyle I don't want to lose you either.
Yeah.
- Hey.
- Hi.
You know, I'm gonna be back in the office in 20 minutes.
What was so important that it couldn't wait? I have a serious money situation that I need to deal with right away.
- Okay, what do you mean? - Look, I-I - I can't tell you the details.
- Megan, if you don't Leslie, I'm I'm serious, I can't.
I just need to know if it's possible for the Agency to give me an advance on my contract with Kyle.
What kind of trouble are you in? Leslie, is it possible or not? [phone buzzes.]
Does this have anything to do with what's going on? I don't know.
Hello, Terence, how are you? We have a huge problem.
Your client has committed criminal fraud, and now the reputations of both Kyle and the Institute are at serious risk.
- Criminal fraud? - Oh, my God, Shaun.
Can you slow down? Because I'm not sure what you mean.
We'll discuss it in person.
Do you know where you client is? I haven't seen her, but I will find her, and I will call you back.
Okay, what the hell is going on? He knows, it's over.
He knows what? What did you do? Megan? Megan! Sit down, let me help you.
No, no one can help me.
Kyle? Zach? [unsettling music.]
"Dear Kyle, "there's no way this note can truly explain "all my feelings right now.
"I wish I could look in your eyes and tell you instead, "but I'm running out of time, "and I know you'd want to stop me from doing "what I know needs to be done to get us out of this.
"It's time for me to face the consequences for what I did, "and the only way to make sure I don't bring you down with me "is to face these consequences alone.
"If I run now, you can still distance yourself from me, "the opportunist who deceived you to get her shot "at being famous.
It's a great story, "and the best solution to this situation I put you in.
"I only hope you can believe the truth, "that I love you "and I love every moment we spent together.
"And I am so, so sorry.
" [door opens.]
Kyle? What are you doing here? Megan.
Everything's gonna be okay.
[muffled shouts.]
[tense music.]
Okay, let me know when you get there.
[phone beeps.]
They're on their way.
[dark music.]
How're you doing? Not feeling very grounded right now.
I really hope this works.
I believe it will.
And Kyle? Kyle and I are gonna be good again.
[banging.]
Let me out of here, please.
Please stop! Stop the van! Stop! Stop the van! Stop the van, stop it! Please [whimpering.]
[whimpering, groaning.]
Please [feet thudding.]
Stop [crying.]
Stop the van! [thud, thud.]
Stop! Help me! [panting, crying.]
Please, please, please, stop, please.
Please [banging.]
[screams.]
Please! Please stop the van! Stop! Stop the van! [banging.]
[radio playing Redbone's "Come and Get Your Love".]
Baby, 'cause you're mine and you're fine And your lips so divine Come and get your love Come and get your love Come and get your love Come and get your love [engine turns off.]
[door opens, closes.]
[door opens.]
[crickets chirping.]
Megan, we're here.
[somber music.]
- [grunts.]
Uhh! - Megan! There's nowhere to run.
[suspenseful music.]
[panting.]
Megan.
[ominous chords.]
Nina? What the hell is this? I know you're feeling scared, but we're actually here to help you.
I work for the Institute.
I have for a very long time.
I thought you were a journalist.
Well, that was a part of a test, which you passed.
Unfortunately, you failed some others, which is why you're here.
Where? What is this place? This is a facility for Individual Transformation.
Transforma Does Kyle know I'm here? The best thing you can do right now is come with me.
[suspenseful music.]
Hello, Megan.
Don't be afraid.
I'm not gonna hurt you.
Stop it! You buried your true self.
All we're trying to do is help you dig down to find it.
- Kyle! - I'm here.
Kyle, no! Kyle, no! Megan, this is real life.
Do you really want to live the rest of it in fear?
