Wolf Watch (2014) s01e11 Episode Script
Insatiable
1 Welcome to Wolf Watch.
I'm your host, Jill Wagner, and I'm still trying to recover from what happened in tonight's episode of Teen Wolf.
Allison is dead! But rather than mourn her, we're going to celebrate her.
And I have two great guests here to help me out.
First, it's Allison's father.
Please welcome Argent himself, J.
R.
Bourne.
And we also have the writer, director, and co-executive producer of Teen Wolf, Christian Taylor.
Okay, guys, let's get right into this.
Um, Christian, the first question is for you.
How could you? I mean, I think you want to keep the show dangerous, so there was always that element of, like, we've killed other characters before And it just keeps us excited to watch who will be next.
Okay.
And so we then talked about how we would do it in a really heroic and sort of consciously making it so that it would celebrate her character.
So, J.
R.
, when did you learn she was getting killed? It was gosh, it was shortly before.
We didn't have a big lead-up, you know, knowing that this was gonna happen.
So it was a shock.
Um, it was done so beautifully and respectfully And, uh I mean, your character has had so much loss.
You lost your sister.
You lost your wife.
- Now you lost your daughter.
- Mm-hmm.
I mean, is he how's he gonna take this? I can only imagine it is going to be another massive hurdle for him.
I I don't know if they're gonna have him, you know, throw himself back into, you know, the hunting aspect, because Argent's always sort of I think that's been one of his struggles, is the balance between the two worlds, you know? Right, right.
Okay, well, um, Christian, uh, let's talk about when Allison dies.
Obviously, she dies in Scott's arms, and, um, she says to him that, "you were my first and only love.
" Why does it take her dying to finally admit that? Well, I think I think dying is probably one of the most epic moments that you have in your life, and she probably I think you realize in those moments, - you better say what you feel.
- Mm-hmm.
And I think also you realize, I think, if you're lucky to have a first love that means something, you remember it forever.
And they say your life flashes before you.
- You have moments, yeah.
- Yeah.
So your character, Argent, teaches Allison so much during the series, um What do you think is the most important lesson that you taught your daughter throughout the series? Clearly not to watch her back.
- Clearly clearly clearly - You're putting this - on me now? - Clearly not that.
I think she I mean, really, not the greatest Putting it on me.
What a horrible thing to say.
You know, in alignment with the code, I think, it I taught her not to judge a book by its cover, so I know what it is that we are meant to do and what our family was, you know, prepped to do our entire lives.
I love it when she made the sort of decision that we protect those who cannot protect themselves.
- Right.
- And I and I would hope that that came a little bit from Argent's guidance as well.
Well said.
Well, obviously, fans are heartbroken that Allison has been killed, but they're not the only ones getting emotional.
We asked our Teen Wolf family to share their thoughts, and here's what they had to say.
My first reaction when I found out that she was gonna die was was shock.
I couldn't I couldn't believe it.
I mean, this is it's Crystal.
Crystal can't go.
Crystal's part of the family.
When I read it, I was like, I took a moment.
I was like Wow.
I'm not gonna tell you I cried or anything, but it was it sucked.
Oh, my gosh, when she first told us, I thought she was joking.
And I was like, "no way.
No way.
" This no way.
Like, no way.
" My reaction when I heard that Allison Argent was being killed off the show was, like, how is the show gonna continue? It's so weird.
She's a huge part of the show.
Always has been since the beginning.
And we have yet to film an episode without her, so, you know, it's gonna be really bizarre and weird and sad.
We had a lot of fun moments and we had sad moments.
And we fought like family and we sort of went through it all over the three years.
It's not something I thought we'd ever do.
I always thought Allison would survive the series life of Teen Wolf.
I'm proud of the character, because I think she's been a great character to see grow and change on the show.
We made her a villain in season two.
We redeemed her in season three.
So it's with a little bit of sadness and regret that we say good-bye to her.
I'll miss most just getting to spend time with Crystal.
Um, she's such an easy person to be around, and she's so kind and she's so generous.
One of our favorite things to do even from, like, the from the very beginning we would always all go bowling.
So, uh, it was just it was always fun.
It would be, you know, Posey and I and Dylan and Crystal and Holland, and we just we had so much fun.
It really was from day one kind of like a family.
Crystal and I would have these great little off-set moments when we would talk about gluten-free food and vegan diets and what we're doing to keep healthy.
I'm really sad just on a personal level, 'cause I love Crystal Reed so much, and she's such an amazing actress and such a sweet girl, and she's definitely gonna be missed.
But I still have hope, because it's Teen Wolf, and everybody comes back.
What did you guys think of our little tape we put together? That was heartbreaking.
Made it very real.
We do have a slogan in the writers' room, though.
What is it? Nobody really dies on Teen Wolf.
So there's hope.
- But who knows? - All right.
All right.
Well, on that note, we have to take our first break, but when we get back, we'll dive deeper into tonight's episode, and you don't want to miss an exclusive scene from next week's Teen Wolf.
So stick around.
Welcome back to Wolf Watch.
I'm Jill Wagner, joined by my guests J.
R.
Bourne and Christian Taylor.
Now, Allison's death was definitely the key moment in tonight's Teen Wolf, but let's talk about, um, Stiles, who is now in control of the oni.
I want to know what you guys think he plans on doing with them.
Well, I know you know what he plans on doing with them.
Well, he needs an army, so he's gonna use his army to his nefarious deeds and, you know, objectives.
He's not gonna do anything good.
- We know that.
- We know that.
I mean, there's nothing good he's gonna do with them.
It's all bad.
Do I die? I it's we haven't shot that scene yet.
Ohh, good lord.
Yeah, we'll see.
Okay, while looking for Lydia, Isaac and Allison speak about when they - Yeah.
- You know.
Yes, yes.
Uh, so what is this gonna mean for Isaac? How do you think he's gonna react to her death? I I mean, he's gonna be devastated.
And he - he really loved her.
- He really loved her.
And she genuinely loved him as well.
It was a different kind of love.
So I think he's gonna be devastated.
Yeah.
Okay, turns out there's another banshee in Beacon Hills, - Meredith.
- Mm-hmm.
First of all, do banshees do they hang out in, like, packs or are they loners? I mean Well, I don't want to give anything away, but she will return for season four.
Whether that You just gave something away.
Thank you! We'll take it.
I want to talk a little bit more about Lydia.
I want to know who she's supposed to hang out with now.
Her best friend just got killed.
You know, the great thing about what Jeff's getting us to do is that she's part of the pack now.
I love Lydia's character because she's evolving and maturing every season As all our characters are, but she's really owning her power.
She's becoming a woman.
You know, she's she's her own superhero.
Mm.
Okay, so in this episode, Scott finally learns why his dad left.
Right.
How is this gonna impact their relationship? I think it what it does, 'cause I think Scott was always reacting from a very emotional level with his father, so now it's sort of, the father has come clean.
It sort of levels the playing field so these two people can build a relationship that's actually out of love and actually try and have a father/son relationship, which I think is gonna be a great thing to explore in the upcoming season.
- Right.
- Yeah.
All right, well, it's time to check out the Wolf Stats from tonight's episode.
So we were low on romance with no hookups.
And, sorry, ladies.
No shirtless guys, either.
But we did have one huge fight with Allison, Isaac, and Kira taking on the oni.
Plus the heartbreaking death of Allison.
And for our bonus stat, the number of characters who have had Deaton's fingers in their mouth went from zero to two.
That's gross, Deaton.
Uh, now let's see our totals for this season so far.
Okay, next week is the season finale of Teen Wolf.
- Aw! - I know.
I can't believe it's already coming to an end.
But it promises to be the most exciting episode of the year.
And let's take a look at an exclusive scene right now.
Scott, hold on.
I know what you're all thinking.
And if this works, it might kill me too.
But even if it does, you just you have to go through with it.
Stick with the plan, okay? The plan is to save you.
That's the plan I'm going with.
Wow.
Yes, I cannot wait for next Monday.
And we have to take another break, but when we return, we'll look back on all that Allison went through over the years.
Stay tuned.
We're back with Wolf Watch.
I'm Jill Wagner, with our guests J.
R.
Bourne and Christian Taylor.
Now, Allison may be gone, but she certainly won't be forgotten.
And we caught up with Crystal Reed after she shot her final scene, and here's what she had to say.
I knew that one of episode toward the end was gonna be my last episode.
And then I read it, and it made me really sad.
But it wasn't until it got to when my dad comes up, and it says, "and there's Allison," period.
"Gone," period, was when it really, really hit me that, uh, I'm never coming back.
I love Allison so much, and I think, ultimately, I'm sad because it's also a part of me that I have to say good-bye to and a big part of, um, me growing into a woman.
I feel like I was I'm grieving someone You know? I can't make you wait for me.
I'm not going to do that.
You don't have to, because I know we're gonna be together.
There's no such thing as fate.
There's no such thing as werewolves.
She's a big part of me, and I really, really adore her, so I feel like I I felt such a sense of loss.
I feel really grateful, because it was the best first job I could've ever asked for, and I met so many great people for it, so I'm grateful and sad and, uh, hopeful.
Oh, my God! Oh, my God, Lydia.
I'm gonna miss the people, I think, the most.
Our crew is really, really incredible, and I feel like I've missed the experience of them for such a long time because I was wrapped up in what I thought an actress should be like and just just, like, you know, prepared and professional, all these things, and I really didn't get to experience the crew until I knew I was leaving.
They're such incredible people.
And it really does take a village to make such an incredible thing, and so I think I'm gonna miss the cast and the crew the most.
I love them.
Allison! We're going to have a new code.
We protect those who cannot protect themselves.
I don't know what's next for me, which is why I'm also feeling fear And anxiety, but, um, I just want to keep telling great stories and being happy and having fun.
What do you guys think, seeing that? It's very moving.
Yeah.
Tell me, do you guys have a favorite Allison or Crystal moment from the past three years? Wow.
Mine would definitely have to be in first season, 'cause I remember, uh, the goose bumps I got in the moment, uh, and it was when she was just seeing him turn, and she comes stumbling out of the bus, and before she drops, uh, Argent catches her, and she looks up, and the look in her eye was just kind of she did that beautifully.
Yeah.
Christian, what about you? I liked some of her stuff with Gerard.
Yeah? 'Cause she was sort of turning a little bad then, and then she sort of, like a moth to the flame, she got burned and then she backed away and redeemed herself.
So I, uh I liked that little part of the journey.
Absolutely.
All right, moving on.
Tyler Posey has been doing an amazing job as our Wolf Watch correspondent.
And today, he's also acting as a detective, and we've asked him to uncover ten facts about Allison Argent that most fans would not know.
So let's find out what he learned.

- That's awesome.
Okay, Quinn has actually joined us via video chat.
Welcome to Wolf Watch, Quinn.
How are you? Hello, I'm good.
How are you? I'm good.
I'm so impressed with your voice.
- That's awesome! - Yeah.
Amazing.
Okay, so let's let's actually talk about the music videos.
Do you do all of that yourself or do you have help? Yeah, um, I write all the music, write all of the lyrics.
- I sing it, I produce the track.
- Wow.
And then I will do the videos all by myself too, yup.
- Amazing.
- That's amazing.
- Wow! Triple threat.
- That's amazing.
- Talented.
- Okay, so I also know that you host a Teen Wolf after show on YouTube.
What do you focus on in your show? It's kind of more, like, uh, like, fans.
I do first I do a recap and then kind of a reaction, and then I have a segment where I have a bunch of fans from the show send in topics and comments that they want to talk about, and I just discuss them.
Uh-huh, little competition for me, I see.
I'm gonna be watching you! Now you can hear from the other side of the camera, 'cause Christian's here you know, producer, director.
You've got to have a question for him.
Yeah, actually, uh, I know you wrote and directed Motel California.
That was one of my favorite episodes.
I just wanted to know, what was the, uh, inspiration behind that? Well, thank you.
That's very nice of you.
And, um, you know what? We we talked about doing a bottle episode, which is the term that you sort of - shoot in one set.
- Mm-hmm.
And but we wanted to make it as scary as possible.
And, uh, I always sort of view that episode as, like, a little bit of a musical box.
Like, it's very it's very intricately designed with not a lot.
And the actors were very kind and Jeff was very kind to let me direct.
And I hope it delivered.
Yeah, that was that was a great episode.
That they these last few I mean, the whole show is amazing, but the last few seasons, I think it's just gotten so, so much better.
It just keeps improving.
Great.
I agree with you.
All right, well, you are so sweet, Quinn.
Thank you so much.
An amazing job on your videos.
Keep those coming.
Amazing.
- Thank you.

Hey, I'm Tyler Posey, aka Scott McCall, and tonight, I wanted to do something a little bit different and special to honor my friend Crystal Reed, aka Allison Argent.

All right, it's time for one last break, but when we get back, we'll spend time with our new Alpha of the Week.
Plus, we'll roll out a preview of next week's episode of Teen Wolf, presented by AT&T.
Don't go away, people.
Welcome back to Wolf Watch.
I'm Jill Wagner, here with J.
R.
Bourne and Christian Taylor.
And they've been hanging out with me, and now we're adding a fresh face to the discussion.
It's the new mega fan we've chosen for our Alpha of the Week.
Quinn Wentz lives in fort Wayne, Indiana, and he wrote a song and made a video that actually aired on MTV.
So let's check out some of war.
Save me I think I'm losing my mind you said you'd come for me when the world swallowed me whole well, this is war save - Wow.
- Wow! - Wasn't that amazing? - That's awesome.
- I loved that black light.
- Congrats again to Quinn, our Alpha of the Week.
