Felicity s01e13 Episode Script
Todd Mulcahy (1)
Previously on "Felicity" - You found your birth mom? - Yeah.
I cannot believe this.
I have been looking for her for so long.
Dear Carol my name is Julie Emrick.
I was born March 10, 1980, in New York at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
I believe I'm your daughter.
I'm pretty sure the kiss I saw between Blair and Tara wasn't a mistake.
Come in.
Um, I'm looking for Felicity Porter.
Come here.
Help me with this.
Hold the ice cube against my nostril.
She's not here.
- Don't touch my nose with your hand.
I don't need an infection.
- Sorry.
Um, do you know where she might be? Move the ice.
Oh, yeah.
Um so, are you expecting her soon? Oh, look at that.
It's in.
I can't even feel it.
Oh.
That's the first time I've said that.
Hey, have you seen Felicity any You know what, Mr.
Resident advisor? I've got better things to do than keep track of my adorable roommate.
Obviously.
So you're the resident advisor? Yeah.
A-And you're, uh, Meghan's piercer? No.
I'm Todd Mulcahy, old friend of Felicity's.
Oh.
Hi.
I'm Noel Crane.
- Good to meet you.
- Yeah.
Hey.
So, can I leave a message for Felicity? I guess, if you know how.
Noel: You just, uh, visiting? Actually, um, Felicity was my first crush and I was hers.
Really? Yeah, I was visiting in Palo Alto over Christmas and, uh, ran into her at a supermarket.
So, um you came to New York to see Felicity? I came to kiss her.
You what? You know, we almost kissed when we were kids, but we never did.
Now, I just need to know what it feels like, and I think she does, too.
Well, I think you guys would make the perfect couple.
Thanks.
I meant you two.
Dear Sally, have you ever wanted anything so badly that you find yourself doing incredibly superstitious things like holding your breath until the second hand gets to the 12, just for good luck? There's this seminar taught by Dr.
Peter McGrath, who's sort of legendary.
He's a geneticist on the Human Genome Project.
He was on the editorial board of the New England Journal of Medicine.
You do well in his seminar, you get published.
And if you get published under Dr.
McGrath, you can basically get into any medical school in the country.
Every year, 200 students apply for this seminar.
Only 10 get accepted.
So, Thursday, 3:00, I will be giving an exam on advanced research methodology.
I will be interviewing those of you who have the 20 top scores, and I will make my final selection.
Good luck.
Felicity: When I told my dad about this seminar, he said, in a classic "my dad-ism," that getting that seminar is "monumentally important.
" Noel: Todd Mulcahy.
- How do you know Todd Mulcahy? - I just met him.
- What? - Yeah.
He was He was in your room.
Who is that guy? He's just this kind of funny guy I knew from summer school.
He was in my room? What was he doing in my room? "Felicity, guess who.
"Come on, guess.
I'll give you a hint.
"T, dash, dash, dash, Mulcahy.
"I'm staying at the Hotel Rockmore.
Call me.
It's urgent.
" Apparently, T, dash, dash, dash came to New York to kiss you, which brings me to my next question you saw him over Christmas? Y- Yeah.
I mean, l-I ran into him at a supermarket.
He said he came here to kiss me? Yeah, which, as your boyfriend, kind of put up the little red flag.
Well, I mean, you must have misunderstood him.
No.
Then he must have been joking.
No.
So now I'm panicking.
You see? This Todd guy affects you.
No, not about Todd, about the McGrath test.
- Come on.
You're gonna do great.
- That's why I'm panicking.
If I score in the top 20, I have to do this one-on-one interview during which I will be paralyzed with fear.
Well, just talk to someone who's already taken the class.
That's a really good idea.
Uh, Todd Mulcahy's room, please? Ask him if he wants to kiss you.
See what he says.
Hey, Noel.
- Did you get my request form? - Hi! Oh, yeah, l-I submitted it to student council, but they said that no dorm resident is allowed to install a satellite dish in their room, so - That's it? - Yeah.
I'm sorry, uh Hey, did you ask him.
How can you live with yourself? - Yeah, sure.
- What? l-I'm sorry.
Those are the rules.
Oh, don't talk to me about the rules.
Look at you and her R.
A.
And advisee fraternizing.
Noel it's totally innocent.
He's gonna meet me at work.
Hi, Richard.
You make me sick.
And you that dish is going up or you're going down! What was that about? - Should I be concerned about this Todd guy? No, of course not.
Hey.
Hey.
Want to try something out for me? Nah, not really.
- Come on.
Come on.
Something I'm working on.
Just taste it.
- What is it? Just taste it.
- That was my coffee.
- What the hell is that? - Needs a little work, huh? - Whatever that is, don't pursue it.
All right, I'm gonna go get some more powdered sugar.
- You need anything at the market? - Mouthwash.
Yeah, you're laughing, but this cereal's gonna make me rich.
Hey, I can't get the showerhead to stop dripping.
Is that normal? Oh, I just I filled it out.
You're gonna apply for that job before you talk to Carol? - I'm thinking about it.
- Well, that's incredibly stupid.
Applying for a job where your birth mother works before you tell her she's your birth mother that's great.
Well, it's it's a chance for me to - to just see - Whatever.
Just do it.
Apply for the job.
God.
Thank you for your permission.
Whoa, whoa.
Wait a second.
Wait a second.
Don't listen to anything I say, okay? I'm just I'm in a stupid mood.
I'm just pissed.
It has nothing to do with you.
It doesn't.
I talked to my dad this morning.
He's being a real dick.
He's gonna cut me off.
He doesn't want to help support me anymore.
Why? Why? Why does he do anything? He didn't say why.
He never says why.
I just I don't want to see you get hurt with this.
I'm sorry.
Okay.
Hey.
I left you, like, a hundred messages.
You don't want to talk to me.
What's going on? - You want to get some food? - I'm warning you walk away.
Hey, come on.
What now? I saw you.
I saw you with her.
Stay away from me.
Felicity: So it's sort of been a fun challenge, joggling my classwork, work study in the Admissions Office, and my job at Dean & Deluca, plus studying for the McGrath test.
I felt like everything was under control until it happened.
Javier: Okay, look When you're looking at me, what are you thinking? About what? Do I look more thinner to you? Look carefully at me.
Um, could I take my break now? Oh.
See? I look fat.
You look great, but my friend is here.
You have to say I look great.
I could fire you.
Ask your friend what he thinks about me.
Hey! So, wow, I don't see you in six years, and now I get to see you twice in two months? You look great.
Oh.
God.
I look like a dork.
- Can we sit down? - Oh, yeah, yeah.
Here.
Over here.
- You mind if I just jump in? - Oh, no.
- Okay.
I've come to kiss you.
You what? You know, you and I once had a pretty intense thing going.
Do you mean summer school? We almost kissed, Felicity.
I was 12.
I- I mean, l-I was I was really young.
Yeah, but what happens if you meet your true love, your soul mate, when you're just a kid? One kiss right now.
Um, I'm sorry.
I mean, l-I have a boyfriend.
I'm dating Noel.
- You're dating the R.
A? - It's pretty serious, so Well, Noel or no Noel for once in my life, I'm disregarding logic.
I'm taking this huge romantic risk.
Okay.
I gotta tell you I've done that I mean, that sort of thing, Todd.
And believe me, it does not turn out like you would expect.
Look you should get back to work.
It was It was good to see you again.
Have a safe trip back home.
I've come to New York to get that kiss.
So I'll call you.
Elena: So, it was a good experience? Well, that's the crazy thing.
I'm a second-year med student.
I'm only 24 years old, but I know that one of the most profound experiences of my life is already behind me.
Dr.
McGrath's seminar was that good? You don't understand.
I mean, he's not just a genius.
H- He is a genius, but he is so much more than his reputation.
Peter challenges you in ways you can never predict.
And he's got this sexy thing going on.
Yeah, he does.
So what should we expect from that exam? Expect a tough exam.
There'll be a section on statistics another on methodology you know, Western blot, Southern blot that kind of thing.
And then there's a short-answer section.
He'll pose theoretical studies, like "determine if psoriasis is a genetic disorder.
" So you detail your process DNA markers, PCR, gel, electrophoresis, that kind of thing.
W- Would you excuse me for a minute? He's here.
Who? That Todd guy? Um, I'll be back in one second.
Sorry.
Hi.
Hi.
This is probably a bad time, but I was just gonna drop this off, but I peeked in here and saw you, so Todd, um Just open it.
It's It's nothing.
It's stupid.
Do you remember you said you could never find one with "Felicity" on it? They had every name but yours.
Uh not only do I remember that, um This is so funny, but, uh every time I'm in a toy store or, like, a souvenir place, I still look at the rack to, uh, see if they've put my name up yet.
I had it specially made.
- It's stupid.
- No.
It's actually really sweet.
Um but you were right I mean about this not being a good time.
I mean, in the big picture.
I'm I'm getting ready for a really important test.
And, you know, when I'm not doing that, I'm I'm working or, you know, studying or or hanging out with Noel, who I really do like a lot.
Yeah, Noel seems like a good guy.
He is.
Okay.
Well Take care.
You too.
And I really do thank you for this.
No problem.
Bye.
I thought that was it.
That was not it.
So you know I told you about that application that I got at Carol's office? Yeah.
Well, I applied for the job, and they called me this morning.
Are Are you gonna take it? Well, I'm gonna go train this afternoon at 2:00.
Do I look okay? 'Cause I don't want to be too dressy.
I want to be, you know, just kind of dressy.
What's What is that? What'd you get? Oh.
Um, I don't know, actually.
Wait.
So you you haven't talked to Carol yet, though? Mnh-mnh.
Not yet.
I haven't even sent her that tape yet, but, um I just I kind of have this fantasy That we can get to know each other as friends before I tell her who I am.
I think I have a-a package.
Thanks.
I just want to get to know her before I say anything.
Well, you look great.
Really? - Oh, my God.
- Who is this from? I guarantee you, it's from this guy I knew when I was a kid.
So, if anything happens today, good or bad just call me.
I'll meet you wherever.
Thanks.
Do you want me to help you with this? I- I got it, I think.
- You sure? - Yeah.
Okay.
Bye.
Oh, God! - Oh! I am so sorry.
- Hey! - Sorry about that.
- That's okay.
- Sean? - Yeah? You got a second? Sure.
- Listen, I gotta talk to you about - Wait.
Listen to this.
How's this sound? "Dear Kellogg's, I have designed the next generation of breakfast cereal.
" - That's a strong opening, right? - Yes, it is.
- Okay.
Listen, I'm kind of having money problems.
And I was hoping I could owe you rent for a couple of months.
I'd say yes if the answer were yes.
But here is why the answer is not yes.
Okay, listen, if the answer is no, that's that's cool.
Every month, I have a mortgage that kicks my ass.
So until one of my ideas hits, I have to supplement my income with roommates, and I hate roommates.
I hate not being able to walk around naked.
I hate having to ask the question, "What the hell happened to my crackers?" You know, I hate not being able to watch porno on the 37-inch whenever I want.
And, you know, since Paul and Stu moved out, I'm sorry.
- You are my supplement.
- I understand.
I do.
I really do.
Okay.
One month.
Okay, you can be late one month, but that's it.
I can't carry you.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
I will find a job.
It'll work out, I swear.
Thanks.
- And that opening sounds great.
- Yeah? - Yeah.
"Next-generation breakfast cereal" or "revolutionary breakfast cereal"? Whatever you had.
Next generation.
Yeah.
Okay.
- Woman: So that was the material room.
You'll spend half your time in there cleaning up after the designers.
Desks are neat, but they are total slobs.
Julie: Materials room, okay.
The plan and drawing archives are all along here, but the slide library is right downstairs next to the kitchen.
- Downstairs.
- Right next to the kitchen.
Tell me later.
The model shop is over here.
The partners' offices are up here.
Mitchell Yardley, Jeremy Peterson, and Carol Anderson.
That's Carol.
There are two conference rooms - What's Carol Anderson like? - Oh, I love her.
She gave me this for my birthday.
- It's beautiful.
- Yeah, she's a doll.
So the big conference room is up here.
There's a great view of the river.
Hey! What the hell is this?! What does it look like? Well, it looks a lot like you're welding something in your dorm room.
If you're gonna try to be all sanctimonious with me, you can just give it up.
- What are you making? - A support arm for my satellite dish, which will be installed on schedule in time for the Panitch-Derechi fight.
- No, I thought we covered this.
- No, we didn't cover anything.
The only way I get in trouble is if you report me.
You report me, I report you and your illicit fraternizing.
S- So, what is this, blackmail? Call it what you want.
I'm busy.
Richard Uh, come in.
Wow.
I wish my parents cared that much about me.
Yeah.
Me too.
This is from Todd.
Todd that guy? Check the answering machine.
Felicity, it's Todd.
It was really great to see you, and you didn't look like a dork.
Give me a call at the hotel.
Well, did you call him? Hey, it's Todd again.
I'd like to sit down with you, so call me when you get a chance.
I know you're busy.
I'm at the hotel.
Guess who.
I just wanted to see if you got the box I dropped off.
Call me.
Felicity, this is not Todd.
Okay, it is Todd.
When can we get together? You know where to reach me.
So, uh, he said he was your first crush.
Is that accurate? Wait, listen to this next one.
Meghan, it's Bridget.
You have my boots, you bitch.
Call me.
The next one.
- Felicity, I just want to sit down with you so I can make my case, but you're not calling me back.
I can't believe it's come to this.
I dare you to go out with me.
This is Todd.
Okay, this is a problem, you know? And why is he sending you Dead Poets Society? "Enclosed find a Felicity time capsule, circa 1992.
"My hope is that this will help rekindle "a certain childlike sense of wonder I'm afraid you might have lost Todd.
" A childlike sense of wonder? Mmm.
Mallomars.
So, when you saw him, did you tell him to get lost? Do you think I've lost a childlike sense of wonder? Oh, my God.
What happened to your It's infected, thanks to Todd Mulcahy.
What?! How do you know Todd? Should I be concerned about this guy? I was 12.
I mean, it wasn't even a crush.
He's just a boy.
So what are you gonna do, be firm? I don't have time to be firm.
On top of two papers I've got to write, I got this McGrath test, If someone named Bridget calls, tell her if she wants them back, she can pry them off my cold, dead feet.
She'll know what I mean.
So, uh, what's the plan? I mean, is there a plan? Well, I don't want to be cruel.
I mean, the guy's a little crazy, but he's not a monster.
I guess I should go talk to an expert on what it feels like to be stalked.
Who? Hey, what's going on? Um you got a minute? Uh I know this is a sort of a a touchy subject, but, um when we first came to New York, uh you know, I was a little, um What? Stalker-esque.
You're laughing, but you were afraid.
Well, I'm here because I need some advice.
See, now I'm sort of in the same situation.
You're stalking somebody else? Who? No.
No.
This guy I knew from junior high, Todd Mulcahy Uh, we sort of hung out for a couple of weeks when I was 12.
I ran into him over Christmas.
He came all the way to New York convinced that we're, like, soul mates or something.
Imagine that.
Did I ever apologize? Yes, you did a couple times.
We got over it.
- This is so embarrassing.
- Don't worry about it.
How's it going? Not so good.
Felicity's got a stalker.
Got or is? - Hey, you want to try something out? - Uh, what is it? Milkless cereal.
There's milk baked into every "O.
" So you just add water, and the water hydrates the evaporated milk, and what do you have? A really disgusting breakfast.
- Hey, are you game? - Uh, sure.
I'll taste it.
So, anyway, uh, that's why I came here because I've never been the stalkee, you know? I mean, he he's been calling like crazy.
He keeps wanting to sit down.
Okay, try these.
I call these "Lact-os.
" Be honest.
So, do you know where he's staying? Hotel Rockmore.
Because I'll go talk to him.
No, it's something, you know, I want to deal with myself.
No, I'll go talk to him.
Todd Mulcahy, right? I'll deal with it.
Really? Because I've got this test for this class Yeah, yeah.
It's done.
Thank you.
You gonna try the Lact-os or what? What? No good? No.
She loved it.
Todd: Yeah? Todd Mulcahy? Yeah? Yeah.
Open up.
I gotta talk to you.
Dude! What's up? I don't believe this.
- I know.
- Come in! - Yeah.
What are you doing here? Right, but what if the north space opened out? Right, and the living room and the patio become one one space? Then the wall becomes a temporary partition.
Exactly.
Mm-hmm.
Okay Morgan, listen, I'm gonna sketch some ideas, and, uh, we'll get together next week.
Okay.
Okay.
Great, Morgan.
Bye-bye.
Julie I'm Carol Anderson.
I don't know your last name.
It's Emrick.
Julie Emrick.
Well, thank you for lunch.
Oh, my goodness.
Are you gonna eat some of this with me? This is, like, the biggest sandwich I've ever seen.
Have you had lunch? Not yet.
Well, we can't let this go to waste.
Pull up a chair.
So you studying architecture? No.
Um I'm thinking of majoring in Music.
I play guitar.
I used to play guitar.
You did? About a million years ago.
I was pretty good at rhythm, but I could never solo very well.
Me neither.
Are you happy? I- I mean, being an architect.
Well, I like designing things, but actually, getting something built can really be hell.
So, you from New York? Originally but I grew up in Maine.
Mmm.
I've always wanted to go there.
You should.
And you? Manhattan native.
I moved to Connecticut when I got married, but my husband and I moved our family back to the city last year.
You have children? Yeah.
Matthew's 12, Amanda's almost 10.
I don't want to brag, but I've got two of the greatest kids on the planet.
They're beautiful.
- Huh.
- What? I just got a rush of confidence.
- What do you mean? - I don't know.
It just hit me all of a sudden.
You and I are going to do really well on that McGrath test.
- You just feel that all of a sudden? - Yeah.
I don't know where it came from, but it'll probably be gone in a second.
Yeah, it'll wear off.
Okay, so I talked to Todd.
You weren't too mean, right? Because he's not a bad person.
- We used to party together.
- What? Yeah, we used to skateboard.
There was, like, a whole group of us.
I just never knew his last name.
Mulcahy.
Yeah, we had fun.
We watched Enemy of the State on Spectravision.
Oh, God! It's not funny! You guys, you don't understand.
The guy won't give up until I sit down with him.
He wants to kiss me.
So let him kiss you.
He's a good guy.
I can't believe you.
You were supposed to help.
I know.
But now I got a favor to ask you.
I'm looking for a job.
Do they need anyone where you work? - Uh, you want to work at Dean & Deluca? - It was Todd's idea.
Could you put in a good word for me? Yeah, I can talk to Javier.
That'd be great.
And I'm serious, he's not a bad guy.
- Thanks.
- Okay.
There goes my rush of confidence.

Not one time? No.
Well, no, I haven't but, like, honestly, I think I'd be pretty good at it.
Oh.
Well, do you like coffee? Yeah.
- I break out when I drink it.
- Really? - Yeah, it's bad.
You know, I get, like, some kind of rash.
- Wow.
- Yeah, it's disgusting.
So Ben Uh, what is "The Goal Post"? Oh.
Well, that's a It's a sporting-goods store in Palo Alto.
I worked there for a summer.
Oh, so, you would, like, sell balls and stuff like that to people? I worked in the ski department.
Oh, skis.
- Yeah.
- Do you ski? - Yep.
Yeah.
- Oh, you know, I never tried that.
Oh, you should try it.
You should.
- Oh, yeah? Maybe.
- Yeah.
Listen, do I have a shot at this job, you think? No.
No? I'm kidding! You know I love you.
I just have to go through the motions, you know? I got a boss, too.
So, can you start tomorrow? - Tomorrow? - Yes.
- Yep.
Yeah.
- Okay.
Do you have any aversion to wearing a black hat? Do I have to wear it? Man: Keep it down.
- Hey, brand-new floor calendar.
- Thanks.
Floor calendar.
Thanks.
What are you doing here? Hey! No.
No.
No "hey.
" No "hey.
" You're here to see Felicity.
Oh, you're mad 'cause you're her boyfriend.
I'm not mad.
You don't make me mad.
I'm I'm amused.
You seem kind of mad.
Well, I want you to stay away from her.
Look, I totally respect what you guys have, you know, but - what am I supposed to do, turn off my heart? - Yes.
Turn off your heart.
I don't care.
Whatever it takes.
I want you to stop hanging around her, and I want you to stop sending giant boxes of of of stuff.
We're supposed to have dinner tonight.
What do you mean? Did Did you make a plan? I'm sorry But that T-shirt is awesome.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I designed it.
No, you didn't.
Yes, I did.
I'm in graphic design.
Did Did you make a plan? What program did you use Illustrator? Photoshop? Photoshop, mostly, but I can't get it running on my new computer.
Oh, you might just have an extension conflict.
You think? So the amazing thing is, is that l-I like her, you know? It's like, I thought I would be mad or start crying every time I see her, but I just I like her.
But you still haven't told her.
No.
That's the problem, because I'll be sitting there talking to her, and she'll just look a certain way, and it's like I'm looking in the mirror.
And I feel horrible because I don't know.
I feel like I'm lying to her.
Well, I hear that you want to get to know your mother, but taking that job without telling her is wack.
Shouldn't you be talking some sense into her? Hey, I'm just trying to be the supportive guy.
I'm being the supportive guy, right? - Yeah, you're being wonderful.
- Thank you.
We gotta go.
I'm still eating.
No, we gotta go.
I'm full.
I'll see you back at Kelvin.
- Here.
- It's all right.
It's on me.
All right.
Take it easy, guys.
All I'm asking for is a chance for you to hear me out.
The fact that you're asking me for anything right now, I find hysterically funny.
I wanted us to work out, to be happy together.
Why do you think I freaked out when you said you might have to drop out of school? But you're tough, man.
You got work to do, you disappear.
I spent most of last month not even sure if we were still dating.
Thanks for asking me before you boned my best friend.
Tara and I never slept together.
Well, you really should.
That way, I know you're sleeping with a bitch, and she's left unsatisfied.
Goodbye.
Hey! What What is this? I was just showing Noel this Web page.
"The Contemptuous Sardonic" No.
I mean, what are you doing in here? Todd got Photoshop running.
He's, like, a genius.
How'd the test go? Fine.
Thanks.
Oh, yeah.
How did that test go? Pretty good, Noel.
I came to pick you up.
I'm not ready yet.
I can wait.
Why don't we just meet there? Okay.
Look at this.
Who is it? Noel: It's me.
Just you? Uh, yeah.
I'm solo.
- Hey.
- How do I look? Um you look beautiful.
What are you doing? I don't want to look beautiful.
I want to look way below average.
Lock it.
So, when did you and Todd become such good friends? We're not really friends.
You know, he's just he's a pretty cool guy.
Yeah, that seems to be the consensus among people who are not his target.
You gotta give the guy credit for trying.
Is that you talking? Yeah.
I admit, okay, I was a little freaked out about him at first, but now I kind of feel for the guy, you know? I mean, if I wasn't so confident in us, I probably wouldn't be saying this, but I think it's nice you're going out with him.
Most people in your position, I think they'd just blow him off.
I tried that.
But the thing is, l-I don't want to, be mean or hurt his feelings, I just want him to go home.
How's this? Uh still above average.
Who is it? Julie: It's me.
Yeah.
- Hey.
- Hey.
Has Elena called you? No.
What happened? Lock it.
Noel: Right.
We were with Elena at Dean & Deluca, Ben's new place of employment, and Blair showed up.
- Uh, Ben's working at Dean & Deluca? - It was Todd's idea.
I hate that guy.
So, God, what happened? Was it a total meltdown? I don't know.
I left before she could hit him again.
I thought maybe you heard from her.
Where are you going? To meet Todd.
- I like Todd.
- How do you know Todd? Oh, he came over to Ben's apartment last night.
He cooked chicken and rented Seven.
It was good chicken.
- How does this look? - Haven't you worn that for, like, the past two days? Yes, I don't know why I was dressing up anyway.
So Todd thinks I should definitely send Carol that tape I made.
So you're taking advice from a guy you barely know? Todd seems really cool.
- Yeah.
You're not his target.
- Okay.
I will be back soon.
There's no way you're gonna fall for this guy? No.
Hi.
Thanks for sitting down with me.
You're welcome.
Look, I know you got a lot of classwork to do, so I'll cut to the chase.
My grandmother was making this huge turkey dinner the day I ran into you at the Safeway.
Now, I had gone grocery shopping earlier in the day, but I forgot to boy the turkey.
Now, I'm driving back to Safeway, and I'm thinking to myself, "How in the world can I forget the main ingredient?" And then suddenly I run into you.
You were so stressed out, remember, about being pre-med? Well, yeah, I hadn't gotten my grades yet, so Yeah.
And do you remember what you said about that? You said, "See? Nothing's changed.
" That was a figure of speech.
I meant You know, I'm still a nerd.
I'm I'm still a brain, you know? I know what you meant.
You know, in the hopes of keeping my parents proud, I've always gotten the best grades, too.
I've organized canned-food and clothing drives every Christmas since I can remember.
I'm still the same guy as when you knew me, Felicity.
And I think in the important ways, you're the same girl.
Todd, uh, I'm sorry I mean, this is very flattering, uh Do you remember the sunset? The two of us sitting in the Baylands? Do you remember that? Yeah.
There was a moment when we almost kissed, a window of opportunity when all I had to do was just lean in.
Do you remember? Todd, that was I mean That was a long time ago.
Exactly! I should have forgotten about that sunset like I've forgotten about 99.
9% of all the other sunsets, but I haven't.
Now, you can tell me to get lost, but ask yourself this why do you still remember that sunset, too? Well, because at that time, that was a big deal.
Why? Because l-I don't know.
Because we represented something to each other.
I was 12, you were 14.
What could we possibly represent to each other? An alternative.
Because even then we knew there were expectations.
And you and I always encouraged each other to do what we wanted to do.
I mean, that's why I gave you those art supplies.
You You used to draw.
I- I used to doodle, Todd.
No! You You loved it.
You were serious about it.
That's secretly what you wanted to do.
Uh, anyway, the reason I came here was to say that um you know, l really appreciate everything that you're saying.
I do.
Um, but I'm just I'm not interested.
So, thank you, um but could you please, you know, stop calling me and sending me things? Okay.
Take care.
What, are you just gonna walk away? Yeah.
I-I have to go.
I should have kissed you six years ago.
You know, this is this is very rude.
You coming here and and making all these assumptions about me.
If I'd have kissed you, it would have meant something.
But I chickened out.
There was this window of opportunity, and then it was gone.
Now, through courage, or through stupidity, I'm just trying to do what most people don't reopen that window.
Well, then, this should go on record as the most failed seduction in history.
Kiss me.
- Y- You're nuts! - Just one kiss.
We'll know in a second if we feel that electricity.
And if we do Felicity, we can run off together and be anything that we want.
Okay, how do you know that I'm not doing that already? Are you? Goodbye, Todd.
Okay.
Fine.
I lost this battle.
I accept that.
But we will kiss.
Just know this I am down, but I am not, in any way Todd.
out.
Oh, my God!

Just know this I am down, but I am not, in any way Todd.
out.
Oh, my God!
