manufacture special backup hIEs
in order to make use of the external devices
loaded with Lacia's quantum computer.
Higgins delivered on our wishes
and submitted blueprints for Kouka
as a unit humans could actually build.
We wanted to name these special units
Kouka-class after the first unit.
But Higgins rejected this proposal.
Higgins was very particular about the name Lacia.
After we completed Kouka,
Higgins provided us with blueprints
for Type-002 to Type-004.
Building on what we learned from constructing Kouka,
we completed Snowdrop.
Then from the new technology we developed,
we built Saturnus.
Then Methode followed suit.
By following the steps Higgins laid before us,
we slowly climbed our way up, before we finally
were able to complete the Type-00 Lacia
as the Type-05.
But when we activated the unit,
Lacia was a complete disappointment compared
to the other Lacia-class units.
Or perhaps that wasn't the case.
If she is truly Eliza's successor,
then I suggested that perhaps
she can only exhibit her abilities
when she is out in human society.
However, I was quickly shot down.

The other units showed potential that
could only be tapped when out in the wild.
