[narrator] Macross 7 is
a giant emigration fleet traveling the
galaxy in search of a habitable planet.
Finding such a planet to
colonize in this vast universe
is a long and time-consuming journey.
And so the fleet has
seven large residential ships
with cityscapes, parks, rivers, and
hills inside where people can live
CITIZENS
as they did on Earth.
The residential ship at the
center of the fleet is called City 7
CITY 7
and it is the political center
of the fleet as well.
Other ships include
the Resort Ship Riviera
and the Amusement Ship Hollywood.
HOLLYWOOD
The ships are connected by a space
highway called the Milky Road
MILKY ROAD
where people can come and
go at will in space-faring cars.
BATTLE 7 - CITY 7
There are also large battleships
attached to each residential ship
BATTLE 7
and even more warships forming
a perimeter around them
BATTLE 7 BRIDGE
to protect the fleet
from unknown hostiles.
But in 2045, seven years after
setting off from Earth

Macross 7 was attacked
by a mysterious enemy,
and City 7 is now
separated far from the fleet.
