a giant emigration fleet traveling the
galaxy in search of a habitable planet.
CITY 7
There are many other emigration fleets
aside from Macross 7
MACROSS 5 FLEE
and they communicate through
a network called the Galaxy Network.
Seven years after leaving Earth
MACROSS 5 FLEET COMMANDER
Macross 7 was attacked
by a mysterious enemy.
This enemy inflicted some damage
GIGIL
but their main goal
is to absorb a type of spiritual energy
called Spiritia from humans.
Furthermore
GEPELNITCHI
they have undercover soldiers
in the city collecting Spiritia.
People fearfully refer to
these shadowy soldiers as "vampires"
because those who have their Spiritia
taken fall into a vegetative state.
-[siren blaring]
-[police chattering]

[reporter] The capsule may be
some kind of escape pod,
and we can presume that someone
fled the crash site hours ago.
The city police believe an enemy alien
may have infiltrated the city.

on the alert as the search continues.
