1 Previously on Jeremiah The reason I'm here is to give you a message.
For me from God? He says you're not going to help your friend by running to him.
You have to allow yourself to be given over to those who are chasing you.
You were spying on us, keeping tabs on everything we were doing.
I was working for Jeremiah's father.
Who the hell is that and what is she doing in there? Here name is Meaghan Leigh Rose.
She's got the virus responsible for the Big Death.
She's a carrier.
It doesn't kill her, but she can spread it to anyone she touches.
What touches me dies.
You capitalize on wiping out a couple of cities to prove that you have the virus! Till we get this country back on its feet, everyone who opposes us is expendable.
I thought I was dead.
You must have had a hard life to think that this was heaven.
In exchange for Markus, Erin, Jeremiah, and his father, they'll give us the key to the Big Death virus.
In the last days of the Big Death, she received the test vaccine.
As you can see, it worked.
If we give them Devon and it turns out we can't properly analyze this woman's blood, we're back where we started.
They've asked us for four people, and who in this big wide world gets everything they ask for? Okay, okay, okay, okay.

We're trading something we don't need for something that we do, and keeping you as insurance just in case.

It's been 15 years since a strange disease wiped out all of the adults and left us kids to fend for ourselves.

The perimeter around Valhalla Sector is heavily fortified.
On top of that, even if you get through the front lines, the installation itself is almost a quarter of a mile underground, the entrance protected by tons of reinforced steel and concrete.
It's a hardened bunker capable of withstanding a 20-megaton nuclear blast, so why the hell are we even trying to take it out? I can't tell you that.
It's a suicide mission is what it is.
This is bullshit! Now, you got us to come in here because you said you knew a way to get Markus and the rest of our people out of Valhalla Sector, but all we've heard so far is a bunch of crap about a mission we can't win where a lot of us are going to get killed.
I can't tell you anything more than that.
If any of this were to get back to Valhalla Sector Oh, so now you don't trust us? Last I heard, you were the one doing the spying before you ran out with your tail between your legs.
What's important is that I heard there was at least another agent inside here, a sleeper agent who would only come into play if and when it became absolutely necessary.

Look, I know what the strategy is, I know what we're doing and I know why, and the only thing I can tell you is it's the only shot we have of getting Markus, Erin, and Jeremiah out of Valhalla Sector, and if we fail, everything you have worked to achieve That dream dies, and some good people die with it.
Any of you want to stay home, I won't hold it against you, but it is my hope that you'll all come along with us, because we have to go.

We set up the whole thing so they'll isolate the base to prevent the virus from spreading.

They think they're fucking invincible.
But they're still human.
They won't take the chance that we could bring them down.

You can't be sure, and if you're wrong, God help you, Lee, because if they stop anywhere along the line, if even one of them gets out if anybody Meaghan touches walks out of Valhalla Sector, you've just signed the death warrant for the whole god damn world.
We can keep it contained to Valhalla Sector.
That was the plan.
Maybe, but even if you do, Jeremiah is still inside.

What's a Code Red shutdown? The people who designed Valhalla Sector made it impervious to any kind of biological, chemical, or nuclear attack, and to human weakness.
Valhalla Sector has a failsafe code.
Once you put in the amount of time you want to shut down, the system can't be changed one day, two days, one year, five years once those 10-ton doors shut down, no power on heaven or earth can open them until the timers go off.
We'll set the timers for five days just as a precaution.
That should give us enough time to get the information we need to deal with this situation.
As I said, you're safe now.

We'll park the choppers half a mile outside, and make sure the place is sealed off.
If it isn't, if those doors are open, if we even see one person walking out of there who might be contaminated, we take them out.

Total time involved two to three days.
So Jeremiah, Devon, and Libby if they get the message, they have to stay alive and untouched while the world dies around them.
They get to see the Big Death happening all over again.
