Dad, when I was younger, Mom told
me what it felt like to be in love.
She said it felt like there's
a fist around your heart.
And it's felt like that with Chris
for a long time now, and when
when Chris couldn't be with me,
it felt like my heart couldn't.
And I need my heart.
I use it to sing,
and I need it to live.
The heart is the strongest
muscle in the body,
but it doesn't do the thinking.
I know.
I know that, and if
I'd run away with somebody that
I'd I'd just met, I'd get it.
But Chris is a good man.
Honest. Strong.
I know what a good man is.
I know because I've lived
with one my whole life.

can convert into a studio,
so Chris can practice,

I know. I can't believe I
finally get to start my life.
- [SIGHS]

Speaking of the house, Dad,

when you have kids of your own.
Along with food,
a house is the number one
thing that you need to provide.
Now, when you kids were growing up
we had food, most of the time
but when I couldn't give you a, uh
roof over your head,
[EXHALES] and I had
to watch you having to
sleep in one room
[CLICKS TONGUE] it nearly killed me.
And so I always said
to myself that, uh
that I would make it up to you one day.
So being able to do that for you today
is one of the proudest things I've done.
