But obviously, as you get older,

you hear a lot of people wanna ask us,
"Oh, when are you retiring?"

They add so much more fire
for 2024 in Paris.
Shericka is coming up,
and she's doing phenomenal.
And that's good for her,
but I'm not there to make up numbers.
You know, it's war.
[Ato] Since 2008,
the story at the Olympics
in the women's 100 has been the Jamaicans,
but the last time
a Jamaican man won the Olympic Games
was when Usain Bolt won in 2016,
before he retired.
People were asking me, "Hey, how are
you guys going to survive without Bolt?"
And my answer to them was,
"Somebody is going to emerge."
[grunts]
[sighs]
I go like this?
[Kishane] I've been running
from a tender age.
It was always
somewhat of a calling.
I'm 22.
I was seven when I saw the Olympics.
And I saw
what took place.
[commentator] Usain Bolt sprinting ahead,
winning by daylight!
A world record!
[Kishane] I got a feeling like no other.
The goose bumps that that filled me up
just watching it.
And the the thrill that I that I got
to see that a human being
can reach that height
or pinnacle of greatness.
It put profound encouragement
in me as a person,
knowing that I should inspire
to be greater than that.
[Usain] If you're coming after someone
that has set the bar high,
it's gonna be hard,
but that's what we have to do as athletes.
You have to set the bar higher because
you want them to reach for the stars.
[cheering and applause]
[Usain] You want them
to be better than you,
but if you're gonna beat me,
you have to really be great.
[suspenseful music playing]
[Ato] I see talent there
that is just emerging.
A young lion who would love nothing better
than to bite those old lions in the neck.

into a special youngster.

is a battle like no other.

Kishane has confidence that he can
maybe take on just about anyone.
But hey, some of the best sprinters
in the world are right here.

[Oblique] I come from a rural community.
A small, small community.
And everyone knew that I could run.
My mom said that I was running
in her belly, for some reason.
I don't know. [chuckles]
I am one of
the smallest sprinters in the world.
If not the smallest.
I'm I'm very Well, I'm 5'6".
Very short. [chuckles]

Just say what you want, man.
[Oblique] To get
the chance to beat Kishane,
I have to get everything right.
For short guys like me,
there is no room to make any mistakes.
Sprinters come in all sizes, shapes.
We've seen that with,
you know, Christian Coleman,
and on the other end of the spectrum,
Usain Bolt.
Oblique is pretty slight, you know.
He's probably on the
a bit on the extreme side.
[man] Where do you want to start from?
The green. Right there, so 60 meter.
[Oblique] When I was growing up,
my father was the one always pushing me.
He was always supportive.
Always supportive.
In 2018, 7th December,
he was riding his bike.
Everyone saw him.
And by the next morning,
I got the message that he had passed away.
It was a heart attack.
Before he died,
he said to me that,
"You can do great things."
It motivates me, because each time
I'm performing, I'm always thinking,
"I'm gonna go out there
and do this for him."
[crowd cheering]

my confidence level was so high.
I knew that if I get a very good start,
Noah Lyles and Zharnel Hughes
would be very hard to catch me.

We have a giant volcano,
and we're the only country
named after a woman in the world.

Seeing different Diamond Leagues
and experiencing different, like, places,

The goose bumps that that filled me up

And the the thrill that I that I got
to see that a human being

but that's what we have to do as athletes.

I grew up in St. Lucia.
It's a very small place.
We have a giant volcano,
and we're the only country
named after a woman in the world.
The only country.
Seeing different Diamond Leagues
and experiencing different, like, places,
it's kind of cool to, like,
see.
Never never imagined myself here.
[Julien] I grew up in poverty.
There would be, like,
gunshots, like, throughout the night.
It was it was a very, like,
rough community, a rough
childhood.
I just thought I can use my talent
to, like, get out of the ghetto.
It's been a hell of a ride.

trying to get some races under my belt
because I didn't have any trials,
and I think that can helped
with the mental and physical aspect
um, going into the Olympic Games.

There's two. There's relaxing,
and then there's noodles.

But you're still working hard.
You're just basically, like, tense.
You have to take
all the tension away from yourself.
Because you're covering more ground,
and you're much more fluid,
and you're striking the ground
really well. The other one is terrible.
[Julien] So I met Coach Flo
at the age of 17,
when I went to the University of Texas.
Nothing crazy today.
Just good same tempo.
Come off the turn, accelerate, do a couple
of those. Don't go no faster than 85%.

He's made such a huge, like, impact
on my career, like, on my life.

[Julien] We're in the background,
and working on what we have to work on
while other people are receiving,
like, the attention.
I actually love that.
[Noah] Gabby, how high has
your social media gone up
since Sprint came out?
[Gabby] Oh, a lot, yeah. I've gained
a lot of followers. It's been crazy.
I said Yeah.
[Noah] Gaining, like, 5 to 10k a day.

I Yeah, probably about 5k a day, yeah.
You know, more followers
equals, uh, more power.

But that was like the Olympic final,
so I'm happy with it.
