[Dwayne] Welcome to season two
of The Titan Games!
Last week, we kicked off the competition
in the Central Region
Wow.
[both grunting]
As our competitors began
their quest for Titan glory
-Intense.
-[Alex] Oh, my God!
[Dwayne] After a series of grueling
head-to-head battles
[grunting]
the winners moved on to Mount Olympus,
where they met their toughest
challenge of them all
Two members from my team
of world-class athletes,
ten-time NFL All-Pro Joe Thomas
and two-time Olympic gold
medalist Claressa Shields.
Because this season,
in order to become a Titan,
you have to beat one.
On a night filled with epic battles
[Cari] Oh, my God!
[Dwayne] the NFL Iron Man
defended his Titan crown.
[Alex] Joe Thomas locks it in.
He's still your Titan.
[Dwayne] But on the women's side,
competitor Chantae McMillan
shocked the arena
[screaming]
by knocking out
our world champion boxer
[Alex] Claressa Shields is down.
[Dwayne] to become the Central Region
Titan to beat.
Tonight, they'll
have to defend the mountain
against new competitors.
Here's what you do.
Mix half a ton of concrete,
an arena full of crazy fans
with four new Central competitors
two savage reigning Titans
and one sexiest man alive
You put all that
into a pressure cooker for one hour,
and what you get
will completely blow your mind.
Whoever came up with that's got a sick
and twisted imagination.
[all laughing]
Let the Titan Games begin!
[crowd cheering loudly]
[man singing opera]
[laughs] I don't know
if you guys can hear that.
[operatic singing continues]

One of the reasons I'm so excited
to be a part of The Titan Games
is because I get a chance to show
everybody who's watching
that opera singers are not the stereotype
that you've created in your head.
I grew up as an overweight kid.
I became the butt of a lot of jokes,
and I got sick enough of it
that I had to change.
And I lost a bunch of weight,
and I put on a bunch of muscle.
As an opera singer,
the body is the instrument.
The better care
that you treat your body with,
the better your voice
is going to function.

The weights will never lie to you,
and the music will never let you down.
I'm here to smash the stereotypes,
to hit all the high notes,
and to take a bow on top of Mount Olympus.
[music crescendos]

Hello, my name is Dr. Kaleb Redden.
I'm a sports medicine physician.
I am from Big Piney, Wyoming,
currently living in Meridian, Idaho.
Even though I'm
a white-coat-wearing fella,
I'm a very blue-collar, down-to-earth guy.
Grow a beard, ride a motorcycle,
lift weights, you know,
and help people change their lives.
Can you straighten it?
Yeah. Pretty good. Pretty good.
So they call me Doc Thor, which is great
because Thor is not a bad-looking dude.
It started because people thought
that Chris Hemsworth looks like me.
[clicks tongue and laughs]
Little shot at Chris.
My career is to be a physician,
but my true calling is to be
a daddy and to be a husband.
My wife's name is Whitney.
Together, we have three beautiful kids.
[girl] Don't step on the crack.
[Kaleb] No broken arms.
I'm off duty.
I love being a dad. I love to play.
I love having buddies around.
I have a freaking son named Tytan.
I was destined to be here.
We already have one Tytan
in this household.
My dad is a really good dad.
He's really playful.
Overall, I think
he's a really funny, cool dude.
[girl] Tell one of your dad jokes.

[Kaleb] I'll be the coolest
and toughest dad on the block.
I'll be their real-life superhero.
[Cari] Hello, everyone.
I'm Cari Champion,
back in action with my main guy
Alex "Goldenboy" Mendez.
[Alex] Tonight, we start with two men
from the Central Region,
Doc Thor and Opera Man.
The first to win two battles
earns a shot at challenging reigning Titan
Joe Thomas on Mount Olympus.
They'll kick it off going head-to-head
on Chain Linked.
It's a race across six fences
hanging ten feet in the air.
Both athletes have to share the first four
as they scramble sideways.
But the fifth section is too far to reach,
so they have to crank it closer,
then leap.
The first one to reach the victory chain
grabs the win.
If you grew up like I did,
this is the moment all those
fences you jumped as a kid
finally pays off.
Michael, Kaleb, you need to move
like your entire Titan future
depends on it.
Why? Because your entire
Titan future depends on it.
This is Chain Linked.
[crowd cheering]
[Alex] Kaleb in the blue,
Michael in the red
a battle of Doc Thor
versus the Opera Man,
and look at Kaleb go,
just flying through Chain Linked.
And Doc Thor jumps out to a big lead.
Michael Hewitt making his way
around that first cross panel,
off to a slow start.
[Cari] Kaleb is called Doc Thor
because of his movie-star good looks.
[Alex] He looks just like him.
It's actually
Who? He does not look like Chis Hemsworth.
He doesn't?
-He's better-looking than Chris Hemsworth.
-His muscles?
He's better
-[Dwayne] Chris will love that.
-[Alex] Fair enough, fair enough.
Kaleb is at the chain pull
and halfway there.
[grunts]
He has to crank these chains
to pull the next panel
12 feet towards him.
-Let's go!
-Come on, Dad!
[Cari] I love how cute Kaleb's family is
in their matching lab coats,
cheering on their dad,
the sports medicine doctor,
as he gives it his all out there tonight.
Let's go, Dad! You're almost there!
Nice.
[Alex] Kaleb's got his gate down.
He's making his way
across the final two panels.
Michael's at the crank.
He's digging deep right now.
Michael's got his gate down.
He's got some time to make up.
Kaleb is coming across that last panel,
victory chain in sight.
A few more feet to go, and he's got it.
Doc Thor is your winner.
[laughs]
Wow.
[cheering loudly]
[Alex] This is only gonna be game one
in this best of three.
Michael Hewitt will have
another opportunity
to get back at Kaleb Redden,
but what a special moment
for Kaleb and his family.

of a Titan Games competitor.

[Alex] So Doc Thor
takes the first challenge.
One more win,
and he's headed to Mount Olympus
to take on two-time
reigning Titan Joe Thomas.
That's what I'm talking about!
Doc Thor!
I feel like my hands are gonna
be pretty sore after that one.
Whoever came up with that's got a sick
and twisted imagination.
That's a psychological thing
-Right.
-That he was not gonna quit.
[Kaleb] Yeah. I related to Michael.
[Dwayne] You're not gonna quit
and he wasn't gonna quit,
but, you know, again,
I think it was important
that I just told him,
like, "Dude, save yourself."
-Right.
-"You got another shot."
-Got another match.
-"It's okay."
-Yeah.
-Wild stuff, man.
[sighs]
[whispering] Okay,
so on the other side of this door
is a competitor who is a beast
in the fitness world.
Hey, guys. All right, just warming up
getting ready to go out,
compete here at The Titan Games.
And she has inspired hundreds
of thousands of people online,
and she's shooting a little video now.
I'm gonna put
my big, fat head in her video
and ruin the whole thing.
Get nice and warmed up.

we'll go out and compete.

You couldn't warn me, guys?
My name is Dani Speegle. I'm 26 years old.
I'm from Conifer, Colorado,
but I currently live in Orlando, Florida.
Working out is like therapy for me.
[man] Yeah, man!
[Dani] Without everything that I found
within the fitness community
and without the support
and love that I found,
I don't know where I would be today.
[somber song plays]
So, in college, I went
through a really dark time,
and I found myself in a really
unhealthy relationship
that completely broke me.
People talk about hitting rock-bottom,
and that's how I felt.
Finding a fitness community
and, like, realizing that I had worth,
it helped me get out of that relationship
and move on to, like,
bigger and better things.
I even met, you know,
an amazing guy, Alex,
who's now my boyfriend and coach
and all these wonderful things.

Now that I'm, like,
in a really good spot in my life,
it's my turn to, you know,
like, flip the switch
and help and motivate,
you know, inspire other people
to get out of their dark places.

and I love taking them on my journeys
through life, fitness,
and now Titan Games.
Becoming a Titan would prove
not only to myself
but, I think, to my followers
that no matter how hard
life can get or become
that it's always gonna be
better to push through.
My name is Nadi Carey, I'm 29 years old
and I'm an NCAA basketball referee.
As a basketball player, I hated referees.
I just felt like they were after me.
I thought my physicality as a player
was just too much for them.
Honestly, I just wished
they weren't part of the game,
you know, and then all of a sudden,
I am one.
[whistle blows]
Right now, I feel
the strongest I've ever felt.
I was not this buffed up in college,
so I said, "I'm gonna be bigger
than anybody on the court,
and they're gonna have to respect me."
So I made sure to stay in shape
so these players couldn't make fun of me.
Competition, winning,
competitiveness, pride,
it's in my blood.
You know, last time I competed
was in college basketball.
Being here at The Titan Games
brings back the whole competitive nature.
I'm like, "Yo, it's game time."
This is my chance to show the world
that I can be a Titan.
[crowd cheering]
These two have been tested before
in their personal lives
but not like this.
This challenge is gonna try their will,
tax their mind, and exhaust their soul.
The only thing that's certain
is, whoever wins this monstrosity
will have definitely earned it.
Dani, Nadi, this is Nuts and Bolts.
[Alex] You need strength and strategy
to conquer this challenge.
Each wall is loaded down
with 1,200 pounds.
You have to screw off the end caps,
strip off the weights,
and, when you think
that the wall is light enough,
run to the other side
and try to pull it down.
First one to bring down their wall
and pull the victory chain gets the win.
Nadi in the blue, Dani in the red,
and the race is on.
You want to spin those end caps off
as fast as you can,
and then comes the heavy lifting.
The gold plates are 135 pounds.
Silver, 55 each.
And Dani has removed the first end cap
and is already throwing off those weights.
Come on.
Nadi, on the other hand,
she's struggling
to get that first one down,
and finally, she's able to do so.
Keep it going! Keep it going, Nadi!
[woman] Come on, sweetie! Let's go.
-Come on, Dani!
-Let's go.
Come on, Dani, go!
[Dwayne] There you go.
[Alex] Nadi working on that second cap.
On the other side, though, Dani Speegle,
she is not slowing down.
Neither of these women have opted to go
and tear down the wall quite yet.
They want to remove
as much weight as they can.
1,200 pounds were on that wall.

[Dwayne] Nice.
Nice.
Wow.
There you go! Do it, baby!
[Cari] As a basketball ref,
Nadi says she has to be strong
to earn the respect
of the players on the court,
and it's no different in the Titan arena.
[Dwayne] Go, Nadi!

[Alex] Well, Dani's not taking
any chances.
She keeps throwing those plates off.
[Dwayne] Let's go, Nadi.
[Alex] She's only got a few plates left.
If Nadi's gonna make a move,
she needs to do it now.
Dani gets her last weight off
and she's going for the wall,
but so is Nadi!
[Cari] DJ almost got
steamrolled right there.
[Alex] Nadi left over
200 pounds on the wall.
Will that be the difference?
-[Dwayne] Come on.
-[Alex] Look at Dani Speegle.
She's locked in her wall,
and she's going for the victory chain.
And she has it!
[cheering wildly]

famous in this arena,
and she did that wonderfully.

[Dwayne] The athletes who
survive our combine
prove they have what it takes
to compete in the most
demanding challenges
I could create in the Titan arena.
Dani, another win
will put you on Mount Olympus.
Nadi, winning this one evens the score.
It is time for Lunar Impact.
[Alex] It starts with race up a ladder
to a narrow ledge 25 feet in the air.
The athletes slam into the center wall
and then brace themselves
for an epic battle
of strength and willpower.
Push your opponent off the edge,
and you're standing tall with a win.
Once again, you got Nadi in the blue
and Dani Speegle in the red.
It's about who can get up
that ladder quickly enough,
and Dani Speegle, she's gonna
be on the platform first.
Nadi needs to get there.
[loud grunt]
Man, what a collision.
Wow. Nadi just took that on the chin.
She is tough.
[Alex] Nadi did not want
this battle to go like this.
You needed to get up that ladder
as soon as you could so that this way,
you put Dani on the defense.
[Dani grunting]
Yeah! Come on!
[Alex] For Dani, if she wins,
she moves on to Mount Olympus.
But for Nadi,
if she's able to win this out,
she ties up the series,
we go to a tiebreaker.
[Dwayne] Come on, Nadi.
You're fighting for your Titan life.
Staying in the game.
[Alex] Dani wants to end this game
and go to Mount Olympus.
It boils down to one big push.
That surge of energy,
that surge of adrenaline,
and you just want to end this game.
Nadi's Titan future
comes down to a few feet.
[Cari] Yeah, Nadi's not giving up.
She's not giving up.

[Alex] That story continues to

[both grunting]

[Alex] This is competition at its finest
when you have two people that simply
just do not want to give up.
Thousands and thousands
of athletes tried out
this season for The Titan Games,
but here's an example
of why these two are here.
[Alex] Now Dani's gonna start pushing.
Perhaps she's had enough.
[crowd cheering]
[Cari] Here she comes.
[Alex] Dani Speegle
starting to push that wall,
and Nadi Carey can't hold on.
[Cari] Yo, yo.
Let's go, Dani.
[Alex] Dani Speegle.
Inches.
She's right there.
She's right there.
Nadi trying to hold on for dear life.
She sees nothing but the abyss.
[Nadi grunts]
Dani Speegle is now
going for the final push.
She's digging deep.
[Nadi groans]
Dani Speegle wins the game!
[crowd cheering]
[Dwayne] Wow.
That is incredible.
[Alex] From social media sensation
to Titan sensation,
she's one step closer to becoming a Titan.
Feeling great. Feeling so good.
[Cari] I appreciate Nadi's smile.
She has nothing to be ashamed of.

-[Dwayne] Yes.
-[Nadi] It would mean a lot to them.
[Dwayne] That was amazing.
[Alex] What a matchup between these two
amazing athletes.
[Cari] These women, honestly,
both should be holding their head up high.

Dani's strong, but I got this.
[Cari] How hard was that?

But in order to achieve that,

The name of the game, kick and lock in
your first two pistons before
moving to the center piston.
Whoever kicks the center piston
entirely onto their opponent's side wins.
Kaleb's able to complete the first piston.
But Michael is right behind him.
There you go.
[Alex] Kaleb locks in his second.
He's on his way to the final piston.
But Michael, he has to finish
his second one to have any chance
of stopping Kaleb from knocking him
out of this competition.
Almost there, Dad! Come on, Dad!
It's only gonna get harder from here
because that golden piston,
that thing is heavy,
and it's very difficult to move.
Kaleb's gonna have to give it
everything he has.
[grunts]
Right now, it's that grip strength.
[Alex] That's right, DJ.
At this point, their hands, their forearms
must be on fire.
But Michael's still pushing hard,
and we know there's no quit
in this athlete.
Keep going.
[Alex] Does he have it in him to catch up?
[Cari] They are both exhausted.
They are leaving it all out there.
Come on, Dad!
[Alex] Kaleb is determined
to finish Michael off.
His arms screaming to quit.
His grit He just needs one last push.
And he's got it!
[cheering]

and Thor belongs
on the top of the mountain.
Joe Thomas, he's truly a Titan.
He's earned his spot,
but everybody's beatable,
and I think I can take him.
[Alex] When he retired from the NFL,
he lost 50 pounds,
but he hasn't lost once
in the Titan arena.

Joe "The Mountain" Thomas.
I came to The Titan Games
to show these competitors
what an NFL player's all about.
[Cari] He never missed a single snap
in his NFL career.
[Joe] The drive, the focus,
the motivation,
the sheer power, the sheer will.
Playing for the Browns for 11 years,
we only had one winning season,
so having a couple wins under my belt
on Mount Olympus feels pretty good.
[Alex] He's still your Titan!
[Joe] Being able to excel at a task
when the stress is the highest,
that's what I do the best,
and that's why Mount Olympus is mine.
Wow.
[Dwayne] Let's hear it for two-time
Titan" winner Joe Thomas.
[Joe] I want to keep this train rolling.
I'm blocking and defending Mount Olympus
like it's my quarterback back there.
Nobody's getting through me.
Kaleb, you better bring it,

[Alex] It's the ultimate test of a Titan.
And it's a course Joe knows well.
Ten brutal obstacles.
Heading up, you'll face the Iron Ascent
and then a 200-pound Log Lift.
Coming down is a tight squeeze
as you weave your way
through the Cage Crawl.
And at the bottom, you'll be saddled
with a 300-pound Ball & Chain.
Whoever wins tonight
starts atop Mount Olympus
in the regional finals
and will be just one victory away
from winning the Central Region.
[Dwayne] Iron Man versus Thor.
You've seen their showdown in the movies.
Now we have our own real-life version
right here on my Titan Games.
[cheering loudly]
Doc Thor, Iron Man,
we've reached tonight's endgame.
It's time for Mount Olympus.
[Alex] Here we go.
We got ourselves
a slobber-knocker here, folks.
You got Kaleb in the blue,
Joe Thomas in the black.
And these are just two giant men
that are taking on the great
equalizer of Mount Olympus.
[Cari] Speaking of equalizers,
they're pretty equal
right now in this race.
This is interesting.
We got the ten-time Pro Bowler,
the Iron Man, doing what he does best.
But Kaleb, Doc Thor,
what do you think about him?
[Dwayne] You know, Joe has the advantage
because he's been here two times.
-Yeah.
-Exactly.
But also, Joe is poised.
[girl] Come on, Daddy!
Let's go, Dad! Come on!
[Alex] Both men have completed
the Log Lift,
and now on to the Sky Bridge.
Those coils are 120 pounds each.
Joe Thomas, he's been here before.
He knows what the mountain
can bring to the table.
And Kaleb, he's keeping up with him
every step of the way.
I expect nothing less of Doc Thor.
Neck and neck. Neck and neck.
[Alex] So close to one another.
But look at this. Kaleb just took the lead
heading into the Cage Crawl.
Come on, Dad! Let's go!
This little maze is something that
can really bewilder
some of the most fierce
competitors that walk
through The Titan Games.
[Cari] That is the tough one.
The Cage Crawl always
catches everyone up that we've noticed,
even if they've done it before.
Joe is getting his big 6'7" body
in that little cage.
[Alex] And he's got some ground to make up
if he wants to retain that Titan title.
Let's go, Dad!
[Alex] Kaleb Redden, though,
he has another plan,
and it is looking so good for him thus far
as she's speeding down Drop Zone.
Doc Thor's got strength.
[Cari] Kaleb told me having
his family here in the crowd
rooting him on means the world to him,
and he's gotta be feeling good right now
to have the lead on Joe Thomas.
[Alex] But Joe Thomas trailed against
both Matt Chan and Steven Shelby
at this point in the race.
He made up time on Ball & Chain.
Can he do it again?
Whoa, look at this.
Joe Thomas brings it on his back.
Look at the Iron Man go!
He is a man of the mountain,
and he is here to win this game
if he can keep this momentum going.
Cari, we got a neck-and-neck race.
[Cari] Joe Thomas never missed a snap
when he played in the NFL,
and he looks as if he is not gonna miss
a moment here in the Titan arena.
Come on!
[Alex] Blow for blow,
both men hammering away.

I came to The Titan Games
because I wanted to be
challenged as an athlete.

but the Titan Games are challenging me
in a totally different way.
It's testing my strength, my endurance,
and my willpower, my grit.

It's bringing out that fire again
and making me realize
that I can win this whole thing.
My dad passed away in 2015, unexpectedly.
I know he would've wanted me
to keep chasing after my dreams,
and I can just see him in the stands,
right there, cheering for me.
I'm taking this thing all the way.
I came here to be a Titan,
and I'm gonna leave here a Titan.

undefeated so far on Mount Olympus.
She's looking for her third victory
right here against Dani Speegle.
With a win, she would advance
to next week's regional finals
as the reigning Titan
and be just one victory away
from claiming the Central title.

who has vaporized every opponent

I don't feel like Dani was
a stronger competitor than me.
I messed up, and she won.
It would've been neck and neck if I didn't
mess up on the log carry, so yeah,
I could've beat her.

her title in the regional finals
if she wants to win the Central
and compete in the Titan championship
