We've had a lot of issues with screaming.

Um I'm sending you a request from Warwick, New York.
Here at Silvio's Italian Villa restaurant.
Where my wife Valentina and myself recently moved in.
Uh, we've been here for about three months.
And ever since then, the activity has just Increased to the effect that we can't sleep at night.
We have loud booms and noises always at the 3:00 hour here in the restaurant.
We've had customers who hear voices.
I I've personally had experiences where I've been Loudly screamed at by both a man and a woman.
My wife has been uh, grabbed.
John, we really need some resolution here.
We need to be able to work and live in this place.
Um, if you would consider us, we would really be grateful for all your help.
Well, it sounds like that's pretty intense.
And it sounds like him and his wife are having a rough time there.

Now, Frank and Valentina are newlyweds.
And they basically had taken over the family business several months ago.
Working at a restaurant is hard enough.
I couldn't imagine not only living upstairs.
But living upstairs in fear and getting no sleep.
It must be extremely exhausting and stressful.
It's affecting his marriage, he's worried about the family business.
You know, I'm kind of hoping we can come up with either evidence.
Or able to disprove some of things that are happening in there.
So Frank and his wife can move forward.

This is Silvio's Italian Villa.
My family and I, we've owned this place for just about two decades.
We've always had activity, but until recently when we moved in here We moved in here just a couple of months ago, um Everything has just gone off the charts.
One time I was here and I was working, of course.
And I just felt something in my back touch me.
I thought it was him, because it was just me and him here.
And I turned around, there was nothing, nobody, and I was a little bit scared.
Are your restaurant patrons affected? Are they experiencing things? Yes.
Actually, this is our table 24.
Whenever people sit here, a lot of people, they want to move.
They don't know what's happening they just say you know I really need to move from this table.
And you see them visibly shaken.
And just uh, consumed with anxiety.
And once we move them to a different area, everything is more than fine.
Is there a particular reason that's happening over in this area, or Well, this room is actually where Roy Vail Uh, Roy Vail was a person who previously owned the Villa.
- Mm-hmm.
- And, uh, he was a famous gunsmith.
Uh, he was a very prominent figure here in Warwick.
And so was his wife, Edith Vail.
She passed on naturally, and he, unfortunately, committed suicide.
Uh, pretty much right where we're standing.
Anything uh, else happening in here? Yes.
If we put fresh flowers in here They wither right away, like the life taken right out of them.
One of our servers here has been experiencing a lot of paranormal activity.
Before you came to work here, did you hear rumors or stories about this place? No.
I hadn't heard anything until I started working here.
But it was very, very common to hear definite sounds of Of people going up and down the stairs.
We'd even get up and we'd kind of look around and go up.
And, I mean, I knew there was nobody up there.
And, actually, a woman came up to me and she said "You've got to go upstairs".
"There's somebody crying and wailing upstairs".
"You've got to see what's going on".
And I went up, and we went through and checked every room And certainly there was nobody upstairs.
This is the master bedroom.
Since the first night that we've been here, we've had a lot of issues with uh, screaming.
Do you know where it's coming from, or do you get up to go see if anybody is outside or in the building? It's like anytime I would, you know, yank open the door, take a look to see what's going on.
Or at least get a focus of where you heard the noise coming from.
It was just out of thin air.
When my wife and I were on our honeymoon in Egypt.
We uh, came across this mask.
They call it a passport, mainly from Liberia and the Ivory Coast.
As a young man was growing into maturity, this would actually be given to them.
It would actually allow them to participate in a lot of tribal meetings.
You have to remember, these things are hand-carved.
These items can definitely hold onto energy.
This is a portion of the attic where we found uh A Roy Vail sign, something that he must have uh, carved out himself.
It might have been part of Roy Vail's workshop.
We were up here uh, looking for something, and all of a sudden I just had this overwhelming sense of fear.
My leg literally just started to shake, and I even had tears coming out of my eyes.
That was very intense.
This is our basement.
We've had phenomenon where the electricity would be turning on and off repeatedly here.
Um, we most recently found a pocket watch.
- Where did you find it? - Right behind us.
Okay.
And it has an inscription on the back that says, "faithfully yours".
Do you have any idea whose it might be? Um, I honestly have no idea.
I'd definitely like to get my team in here.
You know, check some of the places and, some of the items that everybody was talking about.

I've been losing a lot of sleep, uh, because of the activity that happens.
It's really been affecting my ability to maintain a restaurant.
If John and his team aren't successful.
I really don't know what I'm gonna do.

The purpose of our baseline sweep is for us to accurately Record what EMF fields are being given in every room.
We'll be able to rule out things that are man made.

And I heard screaming, loud, right outside in the hallway, and I have that right here.

I definitely hear something, but it's so faint.
It's hard to tell if it's a scream or not.
I just know that I heard something that scared the crap out of me.
Jason is a solid investigator.
But what was caught on tape just isn't very clear.
In the paranormal field, you just don't always get clear-cut evidence.
Well, it was a pretty wild night for you, buddy, that's for sure.
So looking into this location, what we've heard so far is that the Vail's.
Literally had a history of tragic deaths within their family.
Edith Vail died of a heart attack, and Roy Vail actually committed suicide soon after.
So now, Aimee and I are going to go meet with a local historian.
To see what we can find out about the building's early history.
The house was built in 1790.
And the Ellis family lived there.
Martha and Levi.
They were married in 1793.
They were married for 44 years.
And then she found out her husband was an adulterer.
She decided to, uh, divorce him.
Oh, wow.
So they had a big trial in 1837.
I have, uh, documents.
These are all handwritten documents.
There it is, Martha Ellis vs.
Levi Ellis.
So it's listing the women's names.
There are at least five, wow.
So he actually had his mistresses living in the house? Yes.
She was basically, like, embarrassed and just made a mockery out of.
We've uncovered a lot of history behind this house.
We have the tragic death of Edith Vail.
And the suicide of her husband Roy.
Plus we have the scandalous divorce of Martha Ellis.
I'm not sure if any of this is causing paranormal phenomena.
Hopefully, we'll find out tonight.

Frank keeps talking about the flowers always die very fast in that front room.
Well, I want to do a controlled experiment this evening.
So I'm gonna have Jesslyn and Aimee place flowers at table 24.
And one downstairs in the basement.
And we'll place clocks next to each vase.
So if the flowers do wilt, we'll know exactly how long it took.

And earlier tonight, we got EMF readings on the watch.

We got readings on the pocket watch tonight.
Plus Chris and Brian got an EVP saying "lies" near the watch.
And now we have flowers suddenly dying right next to the watch.
That's too much of a coincidence to me.
All right, I need to get it to an expert and see if we can date this.

I'm gonna be taking this pocket watch to an antique shop.
A woman there by the name of Micki, she's an antiques expert.
I'm hoping she can answer some of the questions I have.
Trying to find out some history about it.

And you can see here that it says "London".
Pocket watches, they were primarily for the very wealthy.
Because they were handmade.
This is called bubble glass.
Also a unique thing is it has a curved Dial.
So those two parts dates this Around late 1700s.

Hey, didn't we get some information about Uh, Martha Ellis getting married in 1793? Yeah, actually, Levi and her got married in that time frame.
Some of these things are actually starting to connect together.

Does this fall into the time framing of Martha and Levi? Absolutely.
Frank, Aimee did a lot of research on the history and the property and everything.
And she's got quite a bit to share with you.
I started looking into Levi and Martha Ellis.
The Ellis's built the house in 1793.
They were married for 44 years.
And what we found was that Martha actually divorced Levi.

So if you think of Martha Ellis, she was Probably ashamed, embarrassed, lived a very lonely and And sad existence until she passed away.
Which brings us into our investigation.

To see if he can hear the scream that you were talking about.

The next part of our investigation We were doing what we call EVP sessions.
Trying to capture, you know, the voices on tape.
And right now I'd like to play one of them for you.
And this was actually caught up in the attic.

Yeah? What's that supposed to mean? When I heard the voices saying my name.
Uh, it really scared me.

It's definitely female.

Now there's another part with the flowers.

We had set flowers up on the table.
We put flowers down in the basement.
So right now I'd like to show you something.
Oh, my God.
Those flowers actually wilted right over within 25 to 30 minutes.
Why is all this happening right in that area there? And I'm standing there and I'm looking, and what do I go towards? The old watch that was found.
It's possible that those flowers dying Meant to point us to that watch.
Well, I had taken it to an expert.
And they were able to date it.
At around the late 1700s.
It's basically inscribed, "faithfully yours".
That made me start to think about Martha.
Martha Ellis.
Now, she gave this to her husband.
What we found out, she was a scorned woman.
He was bringing women in when she was here.
And having all these scandalous affairs.
So you can imagine a lot of that energy could be attached to this.
You two are very much in love.
There's no doubt about that.
And it's a good possibility she's seeing that and reacting to it.
Lashing out going towards the males in the house.
Because you experience things, but no where like what Frank is.
The information that was given to me regarding Martha Ellis.
That definitely helped me understand Why I felt so targeted.
I will definitely make a recommendation to you That we remove the item out of the house.
If you want the item back, that is your item.
And it will definitely be returned to you.
I want to feel safe in my own home.

I think that's what we're ultimately looking for.

The pain of a lover's betrayal can often linger even after death.
But by removing this remnant of an ill-fated marriage.

And they use the building for parties and weddings.
Lately, she's been experiencing some crazy activity.
She won't even go in the building at night by herself.

The property in 1549 was discovered by the Catawba Indians.
They founded the mineral Springs.
During the civil war, it became a hospital.
Then it was a monastery.
And my husband and I purchased it in 2001.
The property today is an event and cultural center.
All the time that we've been here.
My staff would say something like, you know, we hear furniture moving.
Or we hear people walking upstairs, but there's nobody there.
You play it down, you know, it's a big building.
In the past six months, it's just escalated.
I hear women's voices Doors closing.
I've had a shadow figure of this monk walk past you.
And And you turn because you You really saw it.
I consider myself a skeptic.
But something is going on.
This was the civil war hospital.
The blood of soldiers are beneath us.
Were you one of the soldiers that was treated here? Holy (Bleep).

What is that? This is no joke with this (Bleep).
There's been a lot of unexplained activity at Historic Jordan Springs.
Tonie, the owner of the building, is very scared and wants some answers.
These two pieces here of marble Uh-huh.
When the monastery came onto the property.
They put a statue up on top the hill.

Someone knocked the statue over.
It broke.
They stole the head.
I didn't know what to think.
I immediately called the police.
I can't repair it, I have the statue still.
Standing up on top of the hill.
Do you have any time framing when this was disturbed? Do you know when Yes.
I want to say it was um In the past six or seven months.

Tonie was showing me pieces of the statue.
Is this vandalism? Was something done, you know, just to be malicious? These are some of the things that I gotta look into.

We've had guests come here and see shadows.
What they believe to be civil war nurses.
This was the civil war hospital so The blood of soldiers are beneath us in these bricks.
Now, here, this bottle Is a medicine bottle found just here on the South lawn.
Obviously, the Earth had washed away enough.
And I saw it in that condition in the dirt.
I wonder if this is Mercury.
Mercury back then was kind of a cure all.
You know Doctors then didn't realize the side effects of Mercury.
I mean, you're talking about Tooth loss, neurological damage, and intestinal damage.
You know, some of the soldiers that might have passed away down here.
Or if there was surgery done.
If you think about that, you know some of that energy, could definitely be lingering down in this area.

Coming in here, did you experience anything in here? Yeah.
As a matter of fact, I came into this room.
And felt this overwhelming negative energy enter It entered through the left side of my body and passed through my right side.
Into one of my colleagues.
And he literally felt as if he was being choked.
This is not the kind of guy to make up a story like that.
Do you feel that there's something negative in this building? There's definitely something dark here.
This is the billiard room.
When the monastery was here, a monk was known for making these kinds of decorative pieces.
He would hang them on all of the trees, and there were hundreds of them here.
And years later, this lady was wandering trough the woods and found some of these pieces.
She came back to the property and gave them to us, and at the time, I wasn't quite sure what they were.
What they used to do is they would make these different things, they'd hang them up in the tree.
The best thing that I can relate it to would be Native American dream catchers that they hang them all over the place.
Oh, okay.
And it was basically to scare the energy or the spirit off.
What makes me curious about these plates is why the monk felt the need to hang these in the woods.
What was he protecting this place from? The water still seeps, so, you know, obviously the Springs run all under here.
This natural stone grotto was put here when the monastery was here.
We've had guests see faces in the windows of the building.
They've described voices, uh, speaking some Indian language.
They see apparitions, shadows A lot of it happening right around the grotto area.
Wow.
There's so much here.
I'm gonna do everything I can to help you out, Tonie.

And we have reports of a shadow figure roaming the grounds.

All this electrical equipment was behind the bar.
So now we know it wasn't really the bottles of medicine giving off the readings.

They're to ward off evil spirits.
Similar to like a dream catcher.

Yeah, that window's open, breeze rolls in, hits the cards just enough for it to flip off.
All it took was a minute or two of some logical thinking.
Uh, to find out that it was the window being open The breeze blowing the cards off the table.
Let's at least close that window.
We didn't get any high readings or EVPs tonight on our baseline.
We'll just have to dig in deeper tomorrow.
And find out as much as we possibly can.
If there is something paranormal going on at Jordan Springs You know, it may not have anything to do with an object.
It could actually have to do with the land itself.
So we're gonna meet with a geologist.
And we're gonna see what we can find out about the land.
So Bill, the property that we're investigating.
It's had a lot of activity kick up in the past six months.
Do you know of any changes in the past year that could have affected that? The main change I know about is the earthquake that happened back in August.

As far as this area, I mean, is this something that happens a lot, or Or is this uncommon? Uh, it's uncommon.
There's been four earthquakes since 1811.

I can't really think of anything else that would disturb the land as much as, an earthquake like that so All right, that's making me look at things a little bit differently here.
We did our baseline, and we're not getting much activity here, guys, so I'm figuring I want to switch things up a little bit.

That is interesting.
This style is Native American.
These fetish dolls, um, things like this are very powerful.
It's not specifically from a particular tribe or anything like that.
But this is the kind of magic that they would do.
In this case, because of the way it's set with porcupine quills Shoved into the head, it's designed to cause pain, to cause problems.
So if Tonie and the building are in the vicinity of the doll.
Could it be contributing to the activity? Absolutely.
I mean this is This isn't something someone just threw together.
This is serious stuff, and it's gotta be removed.

I'm not sure whether this doll is causing the phenomena at Spirits Springs or not.

And a fetish doll is, in Native American tradition.
Something that's created in a very malicious way.
And it looks like it's been here a long time? It's not deteriorated.
I mean, I would say anywhere within a year, even less than that.
It's possible that the doll was made by the same vandals who damaged your statue.
This is very unnerving.

But removing it from the property might just make that negativity go away.
