The Girlfriend Experience (2016) s02e03 Episode Script

Erica & Anna: Ep2 - The List

FEMALE NARRATOR: Previously on The Girlfriend Experience.
Do you know who I am? Yes.
Matt told me.
Did he tell you why I wanted to meet with you? He said you wanted to talk about Mark Novak.
ERICA: How long have you been seeing him? ANNA: Nearly two months.
ERICA: Did Matt tell you that I was the one that bought the recording of Novak's phone conversation? ANNA: He told me.
I'd like you to keep recording him.
I'll pay you a lot of money.
How much? It depends on what kind of information you get.
ANNA: What are you looking for? ERICA: Anything that I can use as leverage against him.
Anything that will discredit him.
Why Novak? Why take that kind of risk? If we're gonna work together, I need to know.
Because he's a misogynist and a fucking pig.
He deserves whatever he gets.
(MOANS) Oh, I'm gonna cum on your face.
Oh! You got it? Open your mouth.
Open your mouth.
Wider.
Do it! (MOANS) That's it.
You fuckin' whore.
You fuckin' slut.
(MARK MOANS) Who's the other woman? It doesn't matter.
Does she know that she was being recorded? No.
That's why I blurred her face.
What's it worth? - I can give you 50,000.
- Okay.
How do you want the payment? I have a corporate bank account.
You can wire it there.
I'll give you the information.
And here.
I have a new phone number.
Thanks.
How are you gonna use it? Are you gonna put it online? Oh, I can't tell you that.
Are you sure you wanna go through with this? Novak is gonna know that you recorded it.
He doesn't know where I live or my real name.
And I highly doubt he'll publicize it.
I'll take my chances.
WOMAN 1: One moment.
You're on with Mark.
- Erica - We should meet.
I wanna talk to you about a possible deal.
MARK: Who says we're looking for one? Take the meeting.
Trust me.
You'll definitely wanna see what we're offering.
It'll be short.
- I prefer to do this alone.
- The three of us is fine.
ERICA: Okay.
I have something you should take a look at.
MARK ON IPAD: I'm gonna cum on your face.
You got that? - Open your mouth.
- What is this? (MOANING) Wider! - I think it's pretty clear.
- Do it! MARK: Where did you get that? It's doctored.
I don't believe it.
ERICA: Really? Are you willing to take that chance? - You fucking cunt.
- Hey! Hey, whoa! Come on! Come on! GORMAN: Hey! - Cunt.
- Come on! GORMAN: Hey! Are you okay? MARK: Where did you fucking get this? Where did you fucking get this? Answer me! I want your donor list, the entire list.
And that's just to start with.
MARK: Over my dead fucking body.
You don't have a choice.
I'll give you 24 hours.
MARK: Fuck! (BREATHING HEAVILY) Who recorded it? I'm gonna fucking kill her.
I'm gonna fucking kill all of them.
I got you something.
They're from Paris.
They're so beautiful.
- Can you help me? - Of course.
You shouldn't have.
Well, I wanted to.
I want you to have beautiful things.
You're so good to me.
I really care about you.
You are so beautiful.
(BREATHING HEAVILY) (DOOR OPENS) - It that the list? - Why are you doing this? GORMAN: Why are you threatening to destroy Novak's career with a sex tape that was recorded without him knowing? He's one of us.
He's a conservative.
A Republican.
A true American.
Think how this is gonna affect his wife and kids.
Let me be crystal clear.
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Zero.
I've never heard of nor seen the alleged sex tape you're referring to, and I would never under any conditions use one to threaten or blackmail anyone.
That would be committing a crime.
Your boss, Mark Novak, voluntarily offered your organization's donor list, because he believes that our candidates offer the best chance to increase our control of the senate.
And you're delivering it because you also wanna help.
Correct? Yeah, that's right.
This doesn't end here, I promise you.
Please give Mark my best.
MARK ON PHONE: What happened? She knew we were recording her.
ERICA: Becker, 15.
Channets, 12.
Mercer, 12.
Lustig, 10.
Rowling, McFier.
Ramsey, Kovner, all around 10.
And Sheld and Channets said their hands were tied.
All together, they've poured in just under a 100 million.
Sheld, Becker, Channets, Mercer, Lustig, Rowling McFier, Ramsey, Kovner.
That's nine.
Half of these guys were backing Strickland.
I'm putting Simons on it with you.
No way, I'm not letting this go.
The list is mine.
I'm sharing it with you.
(DOOR OPENS) (DOOR CLOSES) Please.
ANNA: Were you waiting long? Just long enough to order some wine.
- Would you like some? - Sure.
Thank you.
Why did you ask me here? Is there someone else you want me to see? No.
ANNA: So then, why did you ask me? You're putting me on the spot, right out of the gate.
Um, are you always so direct? I just don't like being in the dark.
I like to know where I stand.
I thought of you several times over the last few days, and I even took a look at your website.
- Does that surprise you? - No.
Why would it? Well, it's just that we met under different circumstances.
So what? People meet in all kinds of ways.
So, what did you think? Did you like it? - What, your website? - Yeah.
Yeah.
Very much.
Good.
I'm glad.
You're beautiful.
What do you like? Take off your clothes.
(MOANING) (BREATHING HEAVILY) (BREATHING HEAVILY) That's it.
Stop.
Stop.
I ca I can't come.
It's okay.
(PANTING) Is it? Yeah, of course.
It's just us.
(MOANING) Oh, you turn me on.
I'm so wet for you.
Feel me.
(MOANING) (BREATHING HEAVILY) I like you.
I like you too.
ERICA: What's your real name? Anna.
- Really? - Yeah.
One less thing to remember.
ERICA: And your last name? Garner.
ERICA: How long have been an escort? Four years.
ERICA: Do you like it? I don't really like talking about it.
Why not? Because invariably, whatever I say seems negative.
I like parts of it.
- Which parts? - I like some of my clients.
But I get my energy from being alone.
Not from socializing or interacting with others.
But unfortunately, most of my clients are extroverts.
All they wanna do is talk about themselves.
It can be a little relentless and boring at times.
ERICA: So why do you see them? It's a job.
And I like sex, and I'm good at it.
(CHUCKLES) You're very good at it.
You too.
(TELEPHONE RINGS) (FOOTSTEPS APPROACHING) Steven Becker's office is on line two.
- Erica Myles.
- Ms.
Myles, I'm Laura Weiss.
I'm Steven Becker's executive assistant.
I'm calling because he'd like to extend an invitation to a private gathering this coming Thursday in New York.
Are you available to attend? Of course, I'd love to come.
LAURA: He'd also like to meet with you at his office the following morning.
Absolutely.
LAURA: I'll coordinate with your assistant on the particulars.
Thank you.
Great.
Thank you.
(DIAL TONE RINGING) AUTOMATED MESSAGE: Hi, it's Anna.
Please leave a message, and I'll get back to you.
Hi, it's Erica.
I just had some great news.
I'm heading up to New York for, um an overnight business trip.
Uh, it could be a huge win for our organization and for me, and, uh I couldn't have done it without you, so I was wondering if you'd like to join me.
Um yeah.
Call me when you can, and I'll give you the details.
All right, bye.
(KNOCK ON DOOR) - You came.
- Here I am.
Hi.
Hi.
- I'm glad you came.
- Me too.
How was your trip? Fine.
Uneventful.
What time is the party? - The car will be here at seven.
- Great.
I have time to take a shower.
(CHUCKLES) You know, we never discussed payment.
How much, and how you want me to pay you.
That's not why I came.
I'm here because I like you.
I'm gonna jump in the shower.
Okay.
(DOOR CLOSES) (INDISTINCT CHATTER) ANNA: How are you going to introduce me? ERICA: As a friend.
- Is that okay? - Yes, that's fine.
Just so I know.
(INDISTINCT CHATTER) There he is.
The king of private equity with his wife, Kathy.
Apparently, his house staff are only allowed to wear monochrome.
He says that bright colors make him lose focus.
He sounds like a kind person.
STEVEN: I'd like to thank you all for coming out to this small and intimate affair.
Our sector has seen tremendous growth over the past couple of years, so much so that even the Fed agrees, penciling in three rate hikes this year instead of two under its prior forecast and targeting pre-2008 levels.
Consumer confidence is at a 17-year high.
Financial conditions are ideal.
And God forbid, some may even be comfortable in their corner offices.
But I would ask you to reconsider this sentiment.
And then, I'd ask you to file it away in a basement never to be seen again.
We need to ensure that the regulatory rollback continues.
In 2010, Republicans took control of the House which obstructed and shut down the Democrats' legislative and anti-business agenda right through to the end of Obama's presidency.
And 2018 will prove to be even more consequential.
The entire House of Representatives.
A third of the senate and the majority of governorships are in play.
This is our chance to keep control of the political system and protect our interests for decades to come.
Initially, Becker fucked us.
He opened up the whole street for attack when he took Greycap public.
Everyone already knew his base salary was 350 a year but that gets out? Of course, they're gonna come after us and try to shut us down.
But now, no one gives a shit.
Becker's still taking in 350 million and we still have carried interest.
It's fantastic.
And Becker's still doubling down on his political advocacy.
It's practically financial paradise.
McCord has no interest in regulating the financial sector.
He's always been against the Volcker Rule and he wants to get rid of Dodd-Frank in its entirety.
- He's pro-business.
- Of course he is.
He has to be.
BECKER: Who do you think would do a better job spending your money? You or the government? The person who earned it? Or some bloated bureaucracy? Exactly.
The truth is, the public will always be better off when the rich pay less tax, 'cause we do more good with our money than any government can.
We ought to be paid by the government for all the employment and wealth we're creating.
I think you and McCord will have similar thoughts on that.
I think so too.
What'd you think of my speech? It was heartwarming.
I thought it was fitting.
I'm looking forward to our meeting tomorrow.
I trust you're having a good time.
ANNA: Wonderful.
I can't tell you how happy I am to be here.
- Thank you for having me.
- It's my pleasure.
- It's good to meet you.
- You too.
How does it make you feel to be looked up and down by some of this country's most powerful people? I don't know.
How does it make you feel? Very, very important.
Here.
Come here.
Oh, I can't keep my hands off of you.
