and paying the cost for that.
-Yeah.
-You know?
[mellow, pensive music playing]
-So I know we haven't spoken.
-Mm-hmm.
And, you know, we obviously work together
and I think you and I both
can be professional.
I-I-I agree, but there's gonna be
that awkwardness
if we don't, you know, talk things out
that we need to talk out,
and hear each other out.
Because I want to work with someone
that I can trust to have my back
when it comes to business.
I don't ever want to feel like, you know,
you're going behind my back.
And I think there are some things that
you and I are gonna need to hash out.
You didn't stick up for me in the office
when Hall accused me of saying that crap.
I was disappointed.
I would never corner someone's client
in the garage.
I didn't agree with everything Hall said.
I wasn't having Hall's back,
but I could see you having a conversation
with a client that you also knew.
I would never, ever, ever lie to you
or ever cheat.
I'm not like that
because I know karma is a fucking bitch.
Especially in business
when it comes to money.
I know God is always watching.
For you to have the expectation
for me to have your back
to a point where you want me to say that
you didn't do what Hall's saying you did
You want me to say emphatically
that you didn't.
-I wasn't there.
-Just, "I don't think she'd do that."
For you to say that,
it requires you thinking of me
as someone who's, like,
a super close friend.
And I understand that, like,
that may be how you feel,
but there's a wedge between us
because of your negative comments
about Sergio,
the most important relationship
in my life.
Anything I say, just like with everyone,
people seem to take offense to it.
Maybe because
you're saying offensive things.
No, no, just people are like that.
I think you should consider
that other people don't think
the exact way that you do.
I think you're projecting
insecurity about Sergio onto me.
-No, I'm not.
-You are.
I have no insecurity with Sergio.
-I'm confident.
-Sounds like you're projecting.
-No. Not at all.
-Sounds like it.
You don't wanna be responsible
for things you've said.
I am. I am taking responsibility.
I did say you were gonna meet wealthy men.
You're acting as though it's my fault
because you're saying I'm sensitive.
I didn't mean anything.
I didn't even remember the conversation
until you brought it up.
Just saying things without thought
is not something to be proud of.
No, I could see. You know?
Can't talk about that much stuff
with you anymore.
I think this conversation is done.
