The Glee Project (2011) s02e04 Episode Script
Sexuality
1 So here's what you missed on The Glee Project The competition's getting brutal.
Blake is beating the crap out of everyone with his acting.
Blake is the best actor of the group.
Nellie won last week's homework assignment, but almost worried herself into the bottom three I don't ever want to, like, make a fool of myself.
While Lily got to play her dream role - My God! - Bullying Aylin.
What the [Bleep.]
are you gonna do? But Charlie was there to make it all better.
When your day is Mario couldn't hit a note in the studio "Day" is just a little under.
And struck a wrong chord in the house as well.
I think you guys aren't taking my feelings into account.
In the end, Lily, Mario, and Charlie impressed Ryan so much with their last-chance performances that he decided to call them all back.
We all get to stay! So now, again, 11 contenders remain to compete for a guest-starring role on Glee, and that's all you need to know so far on The Glee Project [school bell rings.]
Hello.
- Hi.
- Hey.
- Roberto! - Robert's here.
So Charlie and Lily, Mario, Ryan called all you back.
How do you feel? It doesn't feel real.
I had to have Ali check my pulse.
Are you ready for this week's theme? - Yes! - Yes! - This week's theme is - Tell me, what is it? Sexuality.
[Overlapping shouts.]
I was praying that I was gonna be here for this week.
I am ecstatic about it being sexuality week.
Oh, my God.
Anybody nervous? Nellie? Nellie.
I've never had sex.
Like, I just, I've never even seen a guy naked.
So the homework assignment is I wanna sex you up by color me badd.
[Laughter.]
Oh, my God.
What? I'm pretty comfortable with my sexuality.
I'd consider myself fairly experienced.
I'm still pretty young, but I think math is sexy, which is a problem.
So tomorrow, you'll perform for me and a super sexy guest from Glee.
So good luck.
Have a great time.
I can't wait to see it, and I'm so glad you're all here.
- Thank you, Robert.
- Thank you.
See you later.
Bye-bye.
Okay, let's start with line one.
"Come inside, take off your coat, I'll make you feel at home.
" Who wants it? Last week, I was specifically told that I'm basically turning the mentors off and that the way I talk can come off as arrogant.
Mario, do you not want anything? 11? "And this is what I'll do"? Yeah.
I gotta figure out how the line goes, but sure.
So I'll be letting my talent speak for itself.
Should we start blocking it? - Just start being sexy.
- Okay, yeah.
This is how I'm sexy.
- Wait, what did she say? - Together yet.
Just start being sexy, I guess.
I never turn that off.
I think aylin is sexy.
I think she pushes it way too hard though.
- Hey.
- [Laughs.]
Sexuality to me is just always having this big smile on my face and, like, just working it.
[Laughs.]
Hey, we haven't used chairs yet.
- Ooh! - Oh! It's kind of difficult for me to be completely immersed in the theme this week.
Being transgender and being early on in my transition, it's all new to me.
I want to sex you up [School bell rings.]
Abraham, I like your hair.
I think it was a good decision.
I honestly feel really, really good with my black hair.
I've never dyed anyone's hair before.
[Laughs.]
I feel very masculine and confident, which is really difficult for me.
- Hey.
- [Laughs.]
Hey, Robert.
So you guys ready to bring it today? - Yes! - Yes! Well, I hope so because our guest today is definitely the most sexually confident person on Glee.
[Cheering.]
Yes! I knew it! - Oh, dude! - Yes! It's Naya.
- Whoa! Yeah! - Whoo! Yay! [Applause.]
How are you? The guest is Naya Rivera, the sexiest character on Glee as Santana.
She's so sexy.
I could see it.
So this is the gorgeous Naya Rivera, who plays Santana on Glee.
Hello, everybody.
It's awesome to meet you.
I've heard so much about you.
This week's lesson is sexuality, and Santana's definitely been [Laughs.]
sexually connected to a lot of different characters on the show.
To me, playing a sexual or sensual character, rather, um, it's all about confidence.
You know, I really think that less is more.
So get ready to show me something sexy.
[Whistle blows.]
Ah, tick-tock, you don't stop to the ah, tick-tock, you don't stop to the ah, tick-tock, you don't stop whoa oh oh oh to the ah, tick-tock, you don't stop to the ah, tick-tock, you don't stop whoa oh oh oh to the ah, tick-tock, you don't stop come inside, take off your coat I'll make you feel at home now let's pour a glass of wine 'cause we're alone, yeah well, I've been waiting all night so just let me hold you close to me 'cause I've been dyin', boy for you to make love to me whoa oh oh oh - ah ah ah ah.
- I wanna sex you up whoa oh oh oh all night, I want to rub you down I wanna sex you up whoa oh oh oh ah, tick-tock, you don't stop let me take off all your clothes disconnect the phone, so nobody knows yeah let me light a candle so that we can make it better makin' love until we drown yeah whoa oh oh oh boy, you know it feels real good whoa oh oh oh we can do it till we both wake up ah ah ah ah ah boy, you know I'm hooked on you whoa oh oh oh and this is what I'll do whoa oh oh oh I wanna sex you up oh, yes, that was awesome.
You guys sounded amazing.
That was gorgeous.
I'm really impressed.
That's awesome.
So what do you think? I'm gonna start off with Blake.
You have a great look, so, you know, in the sexuality department, it's not that tough for you, and I thought you were at your sexiest when you were being more playful, so I think that you should stick with that.
Awesome.
Aylin, in the very beginning, when the song started, you had, like, a fierce pose.
I was like, "this girl's gonna, like, attack.
" But then, as it went on, I felt like it became too much.
Okay, Charlie, I thought that you did an amazing job.
I find beatboxing sexy, so I guess you were at an advantage there.
But, you know, just really how how hard it you seemed to be working on it was great.
Thanks, Naya.
Nellie, I just sort of felt like like, were you feeling a little nervous? I think, just in general, like, sexuality makes me nervous.
Mmhmm.
I think that if you just would have brought that confidence more and really, like, wanted it, then you definitely would have stood out a lot more.
Cool.
Thank you.
So, Naya, who are you going to pick as the winner today? Okay.
In the end, I am going to go with Charlie.
[Laughs.]
[Applause.]
All right.
So Charlie wins the homework assignment, and all Charlie's thinking is, "what?" Naya Rivera thinks I'm sexy.
So congratulations, Charlie.
You have won yourself a mentoring session with Naya to work on your step-out moment in this week's big group number, which is A mash-up of Moves like Jagger by Maroon 5.
[Cheering.]
And Milkshake by Kelis.
[Cheering.]
I'm so excited about doing a mash-up.
I've been waiting.
It's one of my favorite parts of glee.
So the concept of the music video is a high school sex ed class [Laughter.]
Which turns into a boys versus girls sexy-off.
- Yes! - Okay.
- All right.
- Yes! So good luck.
This is gonna be really, really a fun, fun week.
Bye.
Nice meeting everybody.
[Applause.]
[School bell rings.]
Welcome to sex ed.
[Laughter.]
So a lot of this number, the majority of this number isn't ultra physical, so a lot of it is gonna be you guys sort of learning how you can come across with a little bit of a secret.
[Whistling intro to moves like Jagger.]
I think some of the contenders need to really find a balance between overt sexuality - What the guys go crazy for.
- Get him, Aylin! And no sexuality.
[Moves like Jagger playing.]
Hold.
Shanna, when would you like to start trying to be sexy? - [Laughs.]
- Shanna.
Shanna, you can't laugh.
[Laughs.]
I normally get that my sexy side is too perky or too smiley.
Right now, it's like, yay, and now I walk to the chair.
So when Zach tells me to stop being that, I have to figure out how I can make positive changes that are still truthful to myself.
Nellie, you say, "they lose their minds.
" You'll stand up, turn inside of yourself, and reach like you're going for a little book or something, and then Blake will see you, and then you will arch it up.
- Oh! - Oh! Really? Like, you give this move to me? As that's happening, Blake, you need to be here.
She will stand up, and then as soon as she bends down to get her book, your eyes should go up with her butt.
Go, Nellie.
Arch it up.
Well.
[Laughter.]
That was definitely a choice.
I got really nervous 'cause, like, I'm just not comfortable doing that sort of thing, but I want to stay in this competition, and I want to be on Glee, so I-I really have a lot of work to do.
[School bell rings.]
Up next I think it should be something simple, clean.
Well, the way that Zach and I choreographed it first was that - Charlie wants to do everybody's job.
Are you filming from where you are? He's a little bit too cocky for his own good.
This is what it's going to be.
[School bell rings.]
- Hello.
- Blake.
I think the key for today is just to be confident because confidence is sexy.
If you feel like and take me away I swear I'll behave okay.
You want to try sticking to the melody.
Okay.
Except I like what you did on "I swear I'll behave.
" Look at him, smiling.
Who's he looking at? [Laughter.]
Ew! Why is he winking at us? Who is he smiling at? I swear I'll behave nice.
Nice.
Yeah.
Except I have one major question.
Who are you smiling at out there? Um, nobody.
- Oh.
- Nobody.
- I saw Aylin out there.
- Um - so you're using her as inspiration.
Yeah, you could say that.
Charlie, I would totally yell at you right now, except you're doing a good job.
Cool.
I don't know what me and Aylin is, but it's really fun while it's here.
[Sighs.]
What in the world? Who's next? [Overlapping chatter.]
I'm sorry.
Charlie and I are in a really weird place.
We're both super confused.
Well, I'm more confused than he is.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
I like Charlie, but it's a competition.
I want to, like, keep my head in the game.
Michael and Mario.
Take me by the tongue and I'll show you - Oh.
- Kiss me till you're drunk [speaks gibberish.]
- And I'll show you.
- Wrong words.
What's going on in there? Are you okay, Michael? - Yeah, yeah.
- You're not lost? I'm not lost, no.
I mean, I've done it a thousand times, and then the one time I have to record it, I, like, lose focus.
- Yeah.
- [Clicks tongue.]
- Okay, can you get it back? - I am here.
Okay.
In the booth, I'm overthinking everything.
I'm not relaxing and just letting it happen.
I'm forcing it.
Take me by the tongue and I'll know you kiss me till you're drunk and I'll show you - What's happening? - I've got the moves like the moves like ah, "the moves like.
" L-l-l-like.
[Music stops.]
I'm really, really frustrated 'cause I would be fine if I was messing up, like, some tonality issue.
But when I'm stumbling over words, it really, really frustrates me 'cause that's basic.
Okay, Michael, you can go.
I think you're done.
All right.
I'm just I think I'm just gonna finish with Mario.
Cool.
Otherwise, it just is gonna be too - yeah.
- Too messy.
- Cool.
- Okay.
Sounds good.
Thanks.
He feels terrible.
Crap.
That was a poor performance, so [Clicks tongue.]
It sucks, but - is that what she told you? No, she didn't need to tell me.
[School bell rings.]
The concept of the music video this week is a high school sex ed class, which turns into a boy versus girl sexy-off.
All right, let's try it.
You guys ready? And play back.
I'm sure you want it the thing that makes me I think my biggest competition today is aylin because they're expecting her to be the sexy one, but I want to make sure that they notice me too.
Damn right, it's better than yours I could teach you, but I have to charge I know you want it Look at her now.
She owns every part of her body right now.
What the guys go crazy for She seems very committed.
I think she's doing about the best she's done yet, don't you think? Oh, completely.
Let's, uh, cue to Nellie.
Let me see it.
Nellie.
I've had a lot tossed at me that's, like, really out of the box.
Guys go crazy for There's my line, which is pretty, uh, sexy.
Oh, my God, she's gotten so much better.
And then there's the choreography, which is pretty sexy, and then there's the outfit, which is pretty sexy, and, like, none of those things are what I would do or wear on my own, but I think I kind of got over that in the first five minutes of of the shoot, and now it's just really fun.
Nice.
Nellie was in the zone today.
Nellie's done something to give herself permission to be somebody that she does not feel comfortable with, which is sexy.
Mark it.
[Whistling intro to moves like Jagger.]
I'm kind of nervous about the big group number.
I'm just hoping that my type of sexy will come across because I am very internal.
Like, I need a connection with someone.
Don't be watching the show.
You're you are the show.
Hey, hey, hey, yeah Tyler is disappearing in the music video shoot.
He's gonna have to figure out a way soon to make himself pop when he's in a group number.
Take control own me just for the night Cut, cut, cut.
Oh, my God, I know.
A different person.
Oh, absolutely, 100%.
How was your, uh, one on one? Oh, it was so good, dude.
Just shoot for the stars if it feels right then aim for my heart if you feel like then take me away and make it okay I swear I'll behave I liked that.
That was awesome.
I thought that was very sexy.
Thanks, Naya.
Just don't force it, and be yourself, and just, you know, keep it really, like, contained and - so, like, a little bit of a of a stalk almost before - Yeah.
It's basically, like, act like you're a lion.
Awesome.
I think it should be something simple, clean, jump down, smack.
Um, well, the way that Zach and I choreographed it first was that she comes into the room, and then I, uh, see her, jump off the table, walk to her, and pop.
Charlie is a little bit too confident and too cocky for his own good.
It's like, just a little, like, turn to the right, maybe, and th, she was like, oh, bam, and so it's like the finishing - no.
I can do that.
He wants to do everybody's job.
Are you filming from where you are? Okay, cool.
Charlie has to stop.
It's driving me crazy.
This is what it's going to be.
It's going to be you're here.
Charlie needs to learn what is appropriate.
I think that he is amazingly creative, but there's only one director.
I think, all in all, the contenders were really on fire.
They seemed very prepared, so we're really gonna have to decide who was true to the theme of sexuality and who was consistent throughout not only the video shoot but the entire week.
And marker.
Here we go.
And cue playback, please.
[Beeps.]
Now then, I'd like you to each write an essay on what sex means to you.
Get cracking.
[Whistling intro to moves like Jagger.]
my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like, it's better than yours damn right, it's better than yours I could teach you, but I have to charge I know you want it that thing that makes me what the guys go crazy for they lose their minds the way I wind just shoot for the stars if it feels right then aim for my heart if you feel like and take me away and make it okay I swear I'll behave you wanted control so we waited I put on a show now I make it you say I'm a kid my ego is big I don't give a shh I can see you're on it you want me to teach the techniques that freaks these boys I've got the moves like Jagger it can't be bought just know thieves get caught watch if you're smart you wanna know how to make me smile take control, own me just for the night and if I share my secret you're gonna have to keep it nobody else can see this hey hey hey, yeah my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like, it's better than yours damn right, it's better than yours I could teach you and it goes like this take me by the tongue and I'll know you kiss me till you're drunk, and I'll show you all the moves like.
But I have to charge - the moves like.
- But I have to charge the mo-o-o-o-o-o-o-oves like Jagger I don't need to try to control you look into my eyes, and I'll own you I've got the moves like Jagger I've got the moves like Jagger I've got the mo-o-o-o-o-oves like Jagger my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard take me by the tongue, and I'll know you and they're like, it's better than yours damn right, it's better than yours kiss me till you're drunk and I'll show you all the moves like Jagger I've got the moves like Jagger I've got the mo-o-o-o-o-oves like Jagger [Slap.]
[Chuckles.]
[Purring.]
[Laughter.]
Everybody, that is a wrap.
[Cheers and applause.]
Whoo! [School bell rings.]
Up next We went back over the two of you for quite some time.
This competition is not easy.
I don't know what happened.
You were just unprofessional.
[Suspenseful music.]
So it's that time again.
It's time to give you feedback for the week and to let you know who will perform for Ryan tonight.
So, Nellie, it was obvious from the beginning that you were a little freaked out by the video shoot.
But on the shoot, all of a sudden, it clicked, and I think that you became the sexiest thing in the room.
So congratulations, Nellie.
You are first on the callback list for next week.
Thank you, guys.
First called back.
I know that I'm gonna be here for a little while longer, and it's awesome.
I'll just be that much more confident and that much more, uh, maybe sexy.
We'll see.
[Sighs.]
As for the rest of you, this week's theme of sexuality turned out to be more intimidating for some of you than for others, but we still have to put three people in front of Ryan tonight.
So, Blake, Mario, Aylin, Abraham, Ali, Lily Congratulations.
You are all called back for next week.
Whew! I was so worried I was gonna be in the bottom again, especially, you know, when they're calling everybody's name before mine.
But it was a win, so I'm really, really happy.
So Charlie, Shanna, Michael, and Tyler, we had to decide which three of you would do last-chance performances tonight.
So let's start with you, Tyler.
You are so on the right path, and you're growing so rapidly, but your challenge is continually to not disappear in the group.
Yeah.
That's your your issue, when you're in the big group, to be able to stand out.
Yeah.
So, Michael, I think we both know that this was not your best week in the booth.
No.
This was an off week for sure.
It was an off week.
For some reason, this week, you really got caught up in your head and started overthinking.
It's frustrating to watch 'cause I know that you have it in you, but, you know, this business is 50% mental.
Yeah.
- Shanna.
- [Sniffles.]
Sorry.
I know, I know.
This is just honest feedback.
You know, Shanna, I know that you are naturally this glowing, happy person, but we also have to see shades of that.
Does this make sense to you? Yeah.
Charlie, this week in the booth, I don't know what happened.
You were just all over the place.
You were dancing around, winking at Aylin, flirting.
It's unprofessional.
And then, at the video shoot, I've never seen Erik have to reprimand a contender and say, "no, this is the shot that we're doing.
" Yeah, I-I tried, I think, this week, to own roles that weren't mine, and I think I'm just trying to learn where the boundaries are.
We felt like all of you guys struggled in very different ways this week, and in the end, it came down to which three of you we felt were the least successful.
So, Charlie, you will be performing again for Ryan tonight.
Tyler, you will also be performing for Ryan tonight.
Michael and Shanna, we went back over the two of you for quite some time, and Shanna You're on the callback list.
This competition is not easy.
Thank you.
Michael, that means you'll also be performing for Ryan tonight.
Yep.
Okay, let's talk about your songs.
Charlie, your song this week is I Get A Kick Out Of You by Cole Porter, made famous by Frank Sinatra.
Have you heard it? No.
- No? Oh, this'll be fun.
- Yeah, definitely.
Michael, your song is Lucky by Jason Mraz.
And Tyler, your song is Smile by Charlie Chaplin.
You don't know it? It is one of the most beautiful and haunting songs.
So now you have two hours to prepare.
Good luck.
All right, go work.
This is my second week in the bottom three.
I stepped on a lot of toes this week.
I get no kick from champagne And it wasn't intentional, but it was what brought me to the bottom three.
Mere alcohol doesn't move me at all And, uh, I have to take that with a grain of salt, and I have to do my best tonight.
This is my first time in the bottom three.
Luckily, I kind of assumed that I would be there since the day in the booth.
Lucky we're in love lucky we're in luh-luh-lu-ah Damn it.
So it's not a huge shock to the system.
I'm prepared to work my butt off and impress Ryan Murphy.
[Humming Smile.]
Okay, bottom three again.
Smile, what's the use of crying Like, Ryan has seen me so many times that I'm just like, "what does this mean?" Like, is this gonna send me home? Is it "third time's the charm," or is it "three strikes and you're out"? [School bell rings.]
Up next I think it's great you were playing to me on that song 'cause you have three people out here who are a little upset with you.
This is what I think.
Worst performance of the night by far.
I think, like, my milkshake is, like, my bod.
What is Milkshake about? I don't know.
I really used to think this song was just about milkshakes.
I'm not really sure what the heck they're talking about.
Why would the milkshake bring all the boys to the yard? Because everyone loves milkshakes.
"Damn right, it's better than yours.
I could teach you, but I have to charge"? I could teach you how to make this milkshake, but then I wouldn't make a profit because you could just make your own.
It's hard to interpret a song like Milkshake.
I'll teach you the economics of opening a milkshake stand [Laughs.]
[School bell rings.]
Sexuality.
For the most part, they almost all did a very, very good job.
So who's the not-so-good one? Charlie had problems in the actual shoot.
Why? He has a lot of ideas, and some of them are very good, but he was directing Mary Gillis, who plays Mrs.
Hagberg, and Erik had to say, "wait, wait, it's not your " he's just all over the place.
He was in the booth with me, and he came in, and he was dancing around.
He was flirting with Aylin through the glass.
Oh, okay.
Hello again, Ryan.
This is I get a kick out of you.
I get no kick from champagne mere alcohol never moves me at all and I can't describe these things I do and somehow I get a kick out of you hey, yeah now I get a kick every time I see you standing there before me and I get a kick, though it's clear to me that you obviously don't adore me but I get no kick on a plane and Ryan, flying real high with some girl in the sky is my idea of nothing to do and yet I get a kick out of you [applause.]
Well, Charlie, I think it's great you were playing to me on that song 'cause you have three people out here who are a little upset with you.
You are the only contestant in the history of the show where Erik literally had to say, "stop.
" Also, in the recording studio, flirting with a girl, blowing kisses, why would you do that? II think that I have a childlike enthusiasm for all aspects of - well, it doesn't sound like you were being enthusiastic.
It sounds just like you were being unprofessional.
Yeah, I would agree, and I'm assuming that part of that is maybe your muse.
Um, yeah.
Are you just so madly in love that you've lost your mind? Uh, no.
You're doing all these things that you just can't allow in a professional setting.
You should know that.
This is not high school.
It's a job.
That's it.
It's a job.
Last season, you said, "well, how is this person to work with?" Mmhmm.
And if that is an important element in this competition, then it has to have validity, and that's the only reason Charlie's here 'cause this was probably one of the most entertaining last-chance performances that I've seen.
Yeah, who who were you thinking of when you did this performance? Um, aylin.
Well, if you have feelings for a girl on this show, let me tell you, the best thing you can do is do the opposite of what you did this week because then you're out.
I'm sorry.
If you come back, you just need to know that we think you're special and talented, and that's all you have to worry about.
Okay.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Who's next? Next is Tyler.
We really debated about putting Tyler in the bottom three 'cause he is getting better, but it is the fact that he's up against just a lot of really talented people who pop more than he pops.
I feel like every time he comes out here, I'm rooting for him, and it's the same old thing because the very thing that would make me inspired, it's almost like he's not there in his evolution yet.
Hello, my name is Tyler, and I'll be singing smile by Charlie Chaplin.
[Intro to smile.]
smile though your heart is aching smile even though it's breaking when there are clouds in the sky you'll get by if you smile through your pain and sorrow smile and maybe tomorrow you'll see the sun come shining through for you smile though your heart is aching smile even though it's breaking when there are clouds in the sky you'll get by that's when you must keep on smiling smile even though you're dying you'll find that life is still worthwhile if you just smile smile [applause.]
Thank you.
Tyler.
- So, sexuality.
- Yeah.
- Where was it? - I'm a very internal person.
My, like, sexual and romantic life just started, like, seven months ago, um, so I guess that is part of the mis-navigation.
It's very hard for me to personally criticize anything that you do because I feel that your choice as a person is very brave.
Amen, amen.
And I think that you're just beginning it.
You only are where you are, and you can't be anywhere else, so you really can't be criticized for that.
The problem for me is, there are many people who, I think, as actors and performers, are more exuberant, more comfortable.
And that's what you keep running up against every time and why you're here in the bottom three.
Okay.
I think if you go forward, just start taking every challenge as, "this is the character I'm playing at this point," and just focus on that.
Okay.
Good job.
Thank you.
- Thank you.
- Thanks, Tyler.
The question is, like, do we know that there's something special here and nurture it a little bit more and keep him in just to see? Maybe.
So, Michael.
Michael ha is so analytical, by the time he gets to the music video, he's great.
And he pops on camera.
So why is he here? He struggled this week in general, just getting too caught up in his head.
- In the recording studio.
- In the recording studio.
Well, let's wait till he let's talk to him about that.
Okay, bring him out.
Hi, my name is Michael Weisman, and I'm gonna sing lucky by Jason Mraz.
[Intro to lucky.]
Do you hear me I'm talking to you across the water across the deep blue ocean under the open sky oh, my, baby, I'm trying lucky I'm in love with my best friend lucky to have been where I have been lucky to be coming home again they don't know how hard it is living like this before waiting on every single word I never knew you before I'll wait for you I promise you well well, I'm I've nev in love with you before and now just go! This is my favorite part of the song [Laughs.]
Lucky we're in love so El lucky my nerves didn't kick in at all lucky to be coming home someday [Applause.]
[Laughter.]
What the hell happened? Did you forget the words? Are you nervous? Uh, yeah, I guess it's just nerves.
That's never happened to me before.
I've never forgot that many words in a song.
What we saw tonight here onstage is kind of what happened in the studio with me, where you just - choked.
- Choked.
Yeah, you choked.
It's kind of symbolic of, like, my general problem.
Like, one thing goes wrong, and then it's a vicious cycle, and I get down on myself.
It's a little shocking for me because when I saw these three names, I thought, well, he's never gonna go home, and now I don't know because a lot of this competition is about not choking.
Yeah.
Look, I'm team Michael.
At this point in the competition, you're gonna need to own it and just be there.
Yeah.
Don't stand in your own way, Michael, please.
And I just gotta say, Michael, you have improved every week, and one thing you do have going for you is your ability to apply direction and get better every week.
Yeah, you really take direction so well.
I mean, your acting considering that you've never acted.
I think that you need to know a little bit better how good you are.
You need to have more confidence, but you're an 18-year-old guy.
I think that's hard at that age.
I think you've got star power, which you can't teach.
You just have to go for it.
Yeah.
- Okay, thanks, Michael.
- Thank you.
This is what I think.
Worst performance of the night by far.
He just sort of collapsed.
I believe that Michael should stay on.
I don't think it's time for Michael to go.
I, um, ended up, like, skipping half the lyrics and making up the rest.
Um, it was super embarrassing.
Charlie kind of is a hot mess.
- And I know you love that.
- I do love a hot mess.
But I like Charlie because he fascinates me.
He's unique.
I'm always bowled over by his performance.
I didn't want to come into this contest having the same discussion that I've had with a million people before, which is, "oh, you're talented, but you don't seem to be very professional.
" And it's 'cause I just I really, really need to rethink things and try and figure out a way to keep myself in check.
I think that we all agree that for Tyler, it's not a "being sexy" problem.
It's a "not ready yet" problem.
I'm really happy with, like, how I did, and the rest, like, will happen as it should, I guess.
Back and forth, back and forth.
I think these are really, really, really hard choices.
Perhaps the hardest choice we've had.
Mmhmm.
And I would probably say this person.
Hey, guys, the list is up.
Go take a look.
[Overlapping chatter.]
[Sniffling.]
Okay.
Let's do this.
I really hope I don't go home.
I'm not ready to yet.
My time is not now.
I just hope that I get the chance to still be here and give them everything that they want and more.
The last day has been an emotional sucker punch.
I'm just going up to this thing, and I'm seeing where the cards fall.
Ah ah I'm very sad about leaving everyone and not being here to experience everything, but I'm just really thankful that I even had this opportunity to begin with.
Keep holding on make it through I will take away that there are people that believe in me, and there are people that will love me for who I am.
I can take on challenges, I can rise to the occasion, and I can become a better performer.
Come here.
I [.]
Love you.
[Crying.]
Every single moment has been amazing and has been such a huge growing process for me, and I will forever be grateful.
Ah ah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah bah ah ah there's nothing you can say nothing you can do there's no other way when it comes to the truth so keep keep holding on 'cause you know we'll make it through we'll make it through [school bell rings.]
On the next Glee Project The theme is Adaptability.
There's a chance we may not even be singing the same song tomorrow.
- That was a big fail.
- Sorry.
I'm gonna give you one more shot.
I've never had this situation where I'm just not getting through.
I think that we have to make some hard choices, and I think this is who I would send home.
