Last time on Love inthe Wild Jesse and Ali staged a come-from-behind victory Come on.
We're there.
And won the adventure.
You did it! But at the oasis, the romantic connection just wasn't happening.
I'm not the person who shows all my romantic side.
All you show is zero.
At the cabins, Ben and Michelle's feelings for each other deepened Ben and I have formed this connection.
And Ken and yanina were rock-solid.
Ken is definitely a guy to admire.
I'm just worried Jesse may pick you.
However, Ken was afraid that Jesse would use his first-place power to choose any woman he wanted and possibly steal yanina.
But when the couples' choice ceremony arrived, it was Ali who threw the curveball I would like to choose Ben to be my partner.
When she tore apart Ben and Michelle.
Jesse had considered bowing out of the whole thing, but that's not what he did.
I think I have to ask Michelle.
When the dust settled, it was Jason and Vanessa that went home and sent Jesse on a collision course with Ken.
Jesse in the past has been very strategic, and I was worried he would look at me as a potential competitor.
Hardly a competitor, Ken.
Jesse, what you need to do is find a woman that you care about.
And I gracefully tried to bow out.
You didn't bow out, Jesse.

What the happened there? The vibe after the ceremony was bad.
There was a lot of tension between Ken and Jesse, and I was annoyed 'cause me and Michelle were getting along great, then Ali from nowhere just picks me from out of the blue.
I'm still baffled as to why she picked me.
I'm--I'm sorry that it didn't work out to everyone's approval, but I'm getting my second wind, and I thought I would try this one more time.
I thought that there was a possibility that Ben and I might blend well together.
And to me, if I stuck with Jesse, it's helping other people, but it's not achieving the goal I set for myself.
You're making that assumption that maybe I would have an association with Ben.

I was angry with Jesse for what he did to Tara, which was leading her into the bedroom and then forgetting about her the next day.
Tara was a nice girl, and she deserved more than that, so Jesse's a snake, and he needs to get lost.
It's always been strategic, Jesse.
That's been the problem.
That's the point of this.
The goal, which you and I have been completely opposed-- Ken's talking out of his ass.
Like, I just wanna bounce around and try everybody out.
Ken was, without a doubt, getting in my space.

The fight between him and Jesse-- it was scary.
I don't want him to get, like, hurt, especially now.
We're not here to fight.
We're here to find love.
We need to beat Jesse and Michelle.

I'm fearful that Jesse can interfere with yanina and I.
There may be a part of him that is looking to get some revenge, so nobody is more motivated here than I am, and I wanted to win the next adventure.

So based off the last couples' choice ceremony, relationships can get pretty intense, right? And the fact that someone could break you up is actually really scary.
Well, today's adventure is also very scary.
You guys are gonna be tested on your ability to deal with fear.
You'll find out about that along the way, but first, you need to complete a task to get started.
So what you guys need to do is take the bamboo that are inside those boats and turn your boat into an outrigger.
Inside your backpack, you will find a map.
Now the map has instructions that will lead you to two rubbing stones.
You will use a parchment and a charcoal stick that you will find in your backpack to reveal a secret message.
Now the first couple that crosses the finish line-- that can recite me the secret message, brings me two special objects, and tell me how great my hair looks today wins.
All right, put on your backpacks.

And go! Right here, right here, right here! The goal right now, yeah, ultimately, is to-- to get back with Michelle.
You start taking things out.
I'm gonna start unraveling the ropes.
You know, I was, like, really focused.
I was like, I've gotta do well.

I was little frustrated with Ben, because, like, he's not the boy scout type.
He would call on me to go tie the knots, and that should be a man's job.

"Once your outrigger is complete, paddle out "out to the bay and head east around the peninsula towards the green anchor floats.

We were first into the water, and I was positive.
I was like, maybe this is gonna work.
You know, maybe me and Ali can win it.
Then Michelle and I could get back together.
I was really nervous that Jesse would win.
Giving Jesse the power makes me scared as hell.
God, we got a long ways to go.
We started out first, then it was second, third Why are you doing it that way? I'm straightening out.
We got-- we're going the wrong way.

The current took us the wrong direction.
It was horrible.

Jesse and I-- we have kind of an advantage because we are closer to the curve, but we headed straight towards this huge rock.
We gotta turn.

Ugh! I was really, really nervous at this point because I see Ben and Ali right there, and I'm like, if Ben doesn't place high, or if I don't finish in a good position, then him and I--I don't know if we're gonna be able to get back together.
I can't do this.
I was so annoyed.
Aah! Oh, my God! I can feel it moving! Aah! Aah! Ugh! Oh, my God! Come on.
We run into the wall.
I thought we were actually gonna get destroyed and be shipwrecked on the side.
Got it? The only way to get us back right on track was to get out, push us off the rocks.

We're going very slow, and we're going the wrong direction.

Yanina and I really weren't working so well together.
The rowing part of the adventure was really taxing.
She was giving me the business.
We're gonna pass Ken and yanina.
Yanina's sitting there, trying to get all the water out of their boat, and Jesse and I just flew right past them.
I want you to make sure we have the canvas and the backpacks.
Okay.
Chase and I are the first couple to reach the green buoy, where we have to make a trek up this path.
We get to the top, and I look down, and we are literally on top of a huge cliff, and there are these really rickety rope ladders, but then when I realize I had to do it by myself because the map said we could only go one at a time, it made it even worse.
Doing great.
As soon as you're done, summer, then I can go.
Okay.
Summer and I-- we're just working well.
We're gelling right off the bat.
Come down.
We are on the same page.
There was no hiccups.
There was no, like, hesitation.
Whoo-hoo.
At this point, Ken and yanina are right behind us.
I was a little nervous to go down to the cave, but I knew we had to keep moving.
I take the ladder first, get to the bottom of the ladder, and I'm waiting for Michelle to come down.
Come on, Michelle! And instead, somehow, Ken and yanina have passed Michelle, and I'm like, oh, crap.
I tried going down the ladder, but it kept swirling around.
So I decided, maybe I'm supposed to use both ladders.
Aah! Like spider-woman.
Like spread eagle.
But it worked.
This ladder sucks.
Michelle! I'm coming.
All right, go, go, go, go.
No fear on this.
Jesse was just a little bit ahead of us in second.
I made him my target at the last couples' choice ceremony.
I'm confident that we'll be able to beat him.
It was pretty frustrating to have Ken and yanina very close behind us.
I just wanted 'em off our ass.
It's an arm workout and a half.
We're in last place.
I'm feeling like crap.
But Jenna was great during this whole thing.
I mean, she had that kind of motherly instinct.

I thought me choosing Ben would just be this fun, make-me-laugh type atmosphere, but instead, like, there was like someone died.

The directions on the map said the next step is for us to go to the rubbing stone, where we're gonna have to use our canvas.
Head down this way.

We need the canvas.
When we got to the parchment area, we knew that this was our first part of the clue to bring back to Jenny.
The writing came up really weird.
It looked like some kind of ancient writing.
"Yo quiero taco bell.
" Chase--he's a little bit more of a take-charge guy than I initially thought he was, and I'm starting to get a little crush on him.
Okay.
Ready? Back to the boat.

Yanina and I weren't working well together.
Neither of us were happy with the way we were performing.
And our chances of going to the oasis-- it doesn't look so good.
As soon as we got out of the cave, showed on the map that we needed to go to the next location.
I'm gonna jump out.
We get out and we walk down this very narrow canyon.
Look along whew! The walls.
Here we go.
Okay.
First one's there-- pinned it up, and then just start going over it with the charcoal.
"Amor.
" "No hay miedo cuando hay Amor.
" Whoo-hoo.
Okay.
Got it.
Got it? Yeah.
Let's get it strung in this.
At this point, we were in last place.
Yeah, I'm down, Ali! Come on! And Ali doesn't like heights.
So that got me dead, dead worried.
Oh.
It's like, oh, bloody hell.
Here we go.

Just grab the rope.
Don't even look down! I can't do this.
I was so annoyed.
I may be going home, and I won't be able to spend any more time with Michelle, all because of this silly girl.

Ali got all jittery.
And I saw her face when she peered over it.
She was not happy.
I can't do this.
I wanted to do well so I could've at least have my own destiny in my hands and pick Michelle.
But I was really, really worried.
Basically, if you finish last at this point, you're going home.

Nice and steady.
Since I wasn't feeling a bond with Ben, his reassurance at the bottom of the ladder really annoyed me more than it did anything.

No hay I do see that Ken and yanina are getting ready to catch up to us.
I know he's an enemy at this point, so I just wanna beat him.

I would describe yanina throughout the adventure as bossy.

This was the first adventure that I had to take a moment and think, can I deal with this type of girl? Come on.

As soon as we got to land, we walked up to the start of a swamp.

We dropped to our knees in mud.
Really nasty.
We just see crabs and different creatures crawling on these things.

As soon as we got through, we noticed that there was a log.

It was described in the map that we each needed to pick up one creature out of this log.
Oh, my God.
It's a tarantula.
I definitely have a fear of spiders, so I need to make sure that she doesn't see that I'm scared, and I need to get over it.
Ohh! I was really impressed with chase today.
He was a great leader.
He's somebody that I can depend on, and I think he's really handsome.
So he might be the right guy for me.
