Sneaky Pete (2015) s02e05 Episode Script

The Tower

1 [SOLEMN MUSIC.]
[GRUMBLING.]
[SNORES.]
[GUN CLICKS.]
[WHISPERING.]
It's time you move.
[FRANK.]
Knew this Ukrainian shylock named Bohan.
Loaned 10 grand to this White Nationalist fuck.
Then he comes to collect.
The punk can't pay.
So Bohan gives him two more days.
Well, if he doesn't pay, that's it.
He gets hurt.
So, one day to go, Bohan's 15-year-old daughter goes missing.
Beautiful girl.
Light of his life.
So Bohan's freaking out.
Then he gets a call from white boy.
If Bohan forgives the debt, then he gets his girl back.
Now, the guy didn't wanna hurt her.
I mean, he's just fucking desperate.
- And stupid.
- [LAUGHS.]
So, anyway, that's when Joe and I get the call to find the girl.
Bohan tells us, "Talk to the girl's godfather, Luke Delchev.
" So, uh [LAUGHS.]
We call over to this fucking mechanic shop, and there's this guy milking car batteries.
Then he'd drill a hole in the bottom of the battery, and let the acid drain into one of these five-gallon water jugs.
You see, most plastics and polymers are pretty unreactive towards acid [CHUCKLES.]
But every time he drills the hole, the acid ruins the drill bit, so they gotta change it out every time.
So, in the corner, there's this pile of spent battery husks, and his melted drill bits.
And I'm like, "Luka, what the fuck is going on here?" And he tells us that sulfuric acid is great, because it melts the skin and the muscle, but leaves the bone intact.
[CHUCKLES.]
You see, the acid was for the kidnapper, once Luka found him.
Then he wanted to start at the feet and work his way up.
Now, he wanted that white boy to watch his own body melt underneath him.
[OMINOUS MUSIC.]
Did you find him? [CHUCKLES.]
That we did, yeah.
Girl was fine, by the way, but yeah, we found him, took him to Luka.
Now we're taking you.
I lied.
I know where my mother is.
- Really? - We were supposed to meet at the Bridgeport Hotel.
She's probably already there.
[LAUGHS.]
You know, Pete, I really thought my story might spook ya, but here you are With jokes.
No joke.
It's the truth.
Mm-hmmm.
Thanks, Evan.
I really appreciate it.
[MAGGIE.]
Come on in.
- Evan just called.
- Oh He followed those guys out to the highway.
They're gone.
You're good to go.
Oh my God, thank you so much.
What was that all about, you having a brother that got his toe chopped off? Oh, I was just playing along to keep her from pulling the trigger.
Our friend still there? Yeah, question is why.
- Sounds like you got a theory.
- Well, if he's checking to see if we're heading out of town, maybe she's still there, or close.
I'm telling you, she's on her way to Bridgeport.
[CHUCKLES.]
Yeah, sure she is.
Let me out.
He just pulled off, thinking we've gone far enough.
I'll boost the car, head back, see if Maggie's still there.
This thing's getting too fucking complicated, - just like I knew it would.
- Up here.
[SOLEMN MUSIC.]
- [GASPS.]
- Go on, take the Maverick.
You already gave me cash.
Car belonged to my ex-husband, just like the cash.
[CAR KEYS JANGLING.]
Where the fuck is this guy? His truck's here, but he's not.
[SIGHS.]
Where'd you serve? [CHUCKLES.]
You know, you can't hide military.
Third Ranger Battalion, Iraq.
[MUMBLES.]
Oh I served in 'Nam, A Shau Valley.
Shouldn't you be doing something else other than looking for this jacket? You obviously have skills.
I don't wanna do anything else, and if we're done bonding, I'd like to get something to eat.
We'll come back after that.
Yeah, sure.
[INHALES SHARPLY, BLOWS.]
[BLOWING.]
[SNIFFS.]
[COOKIE THUDS, SKIPPING.]
[DOOR OPENS, CREAKS.]
Otto? Please, for the love of God, Grandma, tell me that wasn't you at Brett Woods.
You hadn't called me back.
I thought I'd just go out [SIGHS.]
Because of your little nature walk, you're a suspect.
- What? - The farmer, - the one you had the chat with.
- Yeah.
Turns out he's got a great memory.
Painted a nice little picture of you.
Maybe I can put it on the wall of my cell.
Okay, so I went for a walk in the woods, a hike, like you said.
I mean, what's the harm? The harm is that the detective found Winslow's badge out there.
- Everything's gonna be fine.
- Is it? - Yeah.
- Is it, Grandma? 'Cause there are fucking chocolate chip cookies all over the floor.
This has nothing to do with the truck.
Grandma Grandma do you understand how bad this is? Hm? There is now a witness that can place you at the scene of the - I took care of it! - How? I crashed the truck into another car, all right, same color as the detective's.
The paint matches.
This way, you have - an explanation for the damage.
- [GROANING.]
I even filed a police report.
If anyone asks, there's a record.
You were out of your goddamn mind.
Don't talk to me like that! What happened to the truck? [GASPS SOFTLY.]
Grandma crashed it.
She what Yeah, I stepped on the gas instead of the brake.
[LAUGHS.]
What the fuck is happening? Why the fuck is that weasel here? - Fuck you, man-child.
- Hey, hey, hey! - Hoo-hoo! [LAUGHING.]
- Children, stop it! Lance f Lance found a buyer for that, uh the crappy land that he sold to Audrey, so all she has to do is sign a quitclaim deed.
That's why we're here.
- It's almost midnight.
- There's a clock on it.
Guy wants to flip it to some corporate client by 9:00 tomorrow morning.
You get $10,000.
Where do I sign? They say you can tell the future with tarot cards.
Tell me, Delores Where am I heading? [THE BRIGHT LIGHT SOCIAL HOUR'S "HARDER OUT HERE" PLAYING.]
[MAN.]
It's getting harder out here I keep trying to just make my way It's not lying I'm only trying Just trust in me ALL: Trust in me Just trust in me ALL: Trust in me Just trust in me [ROCK MUSIC PLAYING.]
Hey, do you remember when I said that we could split the $11 million three ways? Well, if you take me to Bridgeport right now, you can have it all, every cent.
And leave my partner high and dry? You could do whatever you want.
Pete, Frank and I, we bury more bodies than syphilis in the Middle Ages.
We got our differences, but he's my partner.
I'm not a fucking sellout.
[GAGS, COUGHING.]
What the fuck's wrong with you? Nerves.
I think I'm gonna be sick.
- Not in the car.
- [GAGS, COUGHS.]
- All right, I'll pull over.
- Pull over.
All right yeah, I'm pulling over.
- All right! - Open the door, man! - All right! - Hurry! Hurry! Okay.
Okay, okay, okay.
- Open the fuckin' door! - Out, out, out, out.
- [HURLS.]
- Oh, gross, man.
- [COUGHS.]
- Okay Hey, hey, hey, uh, leave your ph - [COUGHS.]
- Ah! Leave your fucking phone.
[GROANING.]
[GAGS, GROANS.]
Okay, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[SPITS.]
Oh, God.
Fucking disgusting.
[MUTTERS.]
Okay [EXHALES.]
[ENGINES HISSING.]
[SLOW, HEAVY BREATHING.]
[SOLEMN MUSIC.]
[PHONE RINGING.]
Unless you're calling to buy a very expensive book, - I'm hanging up.
- They're taking me to Luka.
[MARJORIE.]
Good-bye, Marius.
He's gonna melt me.
Is that what you I can call Adam and Nicole.
No, not yet.
I need you.
I need you.
I'm not leaving the bookstore.
[MARIUS.]
All right, look, I almost had Maggie, but she got away.
I wanna use Pete as bait.
Problem in this is that Pete is on his way to Sedona, looking for Maggie.
You want me to call Pete and get him back? [MARIUS.]
Yeah, that's all I need.
And then, I need you to make one other phone call, all right? Yeah, I'm with one of them right now.
I'm in some bathroom in a gas station.
You motherfucker! - Okay, uh, this is my mother.
- Give me that give me She's at she's at the motel in Bridgeport.
[MARJORIE.]
You have to get to the motel - as soon as you can, Pete.
- See? She's there right now.
She's there.
[MARJORIE.]
Pete? Are you there? Okay.
[SLOW COUNTRY MUSIC PLAYING.]
[AXE STRIKES WALL.]
Don't flick your wrists.
- They were locked.
- You flicked.
You did it when you were ten.
You're doing it now.
Hi.
What the fuck's dead man doing here? - Just wait in the car.
- Stay I'm here about your money.
What about it? That, um thing that you, uh, had me do, the to help you You mean the money laundering.
Yeah, it's done.
I had to move the money through real estate.
That's why Lance is here.
I'm too tired to explain, but basically, you sign some paperwork, pay a real estate tax, and the money is yours free and clear.
Let's go to my office.
I'm asking because Otto's my friend, and you've done business with him.
No, I can't promise you there won't be violence.
As as a matter of fact, uh [STAMMERS.]
Violence might be necessary.
You should know that.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Right no, just give me the address.
Give me the address.
I'll remember it.
Okay, good.
Okay.
You wait outside.
Door open? [EXHALES.]
You do good work.
Thanks.
It's my first felony, so beginner's luck.
No, it's good, because I need you to do it again.
[LAUGHS.]
No fucking way.
No, we're finished.
In fact, if you need someone bailed, - you need to go to ANB.
- Just one more time.
No, I'm leaving.
I'm not asking.
[SOLEMN MUSIC.]
[BAGS RUSTLING.]
[GASPS SOFTLY.]
[SIGHS.]
- How much is it? - Count it and tell me, see if our numbers match.
I'll load them for ya.
[CAR KEYS JANGLE.]
Your fucking mother better be here.
[LAUGHS HEARTILY.]
I knew you were a shit-bird.
Mr.
Bagwell, I was I was just on my way - Back to jail.
- Uh I'm sorry, who the fuck are you? Name's James Bagwell.
I'm this shit-bird's parole officer.
And who might you be? I'm someone who doesn't have to give you his fucking name.
I suggest you keep it moving.
Ah, yeah, you said that wrong.
What you meant to say was, "I think I'm done here, Mr.
Bagwell," and you were about to move your ass the fuck on.
Here, let me just let me can I just explain? Let me just tell you about What, explain how being in Connecticut violates the terms of your parole? No, I just wanna tell you why I'm here.
- Yeah.
- Can I just tell you what What? No, you don't have to handcuff me.
Yeah, yeah.
We we could tase you for shits and giggles.
- No.
[CHUCKLES.]
- [CHUCKLES.]
Yeah.
[GUN CLICKS.]
Hey, hey, hey He's got kids.
And I got two fucks to give.
Let me do it.
It's my fucking mess.
- Let me clean it.
- Okay, old man, but you come back empty-handed, I'm kicking in doors.
Can I help you? Yeah, I came here for the jacket you find in the Caddy.
What jacket? Come on.
You just got back from the grocery store, right? You bought some of that crappy store brand coffee, eggs, oranges, uh maybe some cereal, the one with the chocolate Dracula on the front.
Who the fuck are you? Or that's for the girls, maybe.
Jackie, Nikki.
Come on, just give it to me.
Uh, just give it to me.
It's not yours.
I don't wanna argue.
I don't wanna negotiate.
It's just a damn jacket.
Yeah, so why let your girls lose their only parent over it? Mr.
Bagwell, I'm here on a family emergency.
You have to believe me.
Uh, allow me to translate that, now that I am fluent in Josipovic.
What you just said is, "I'm in a jam with my hoodlum friend, so I had some British lady call my parole officer so Mr.
Bagwell can come down to save me.
" - Am I correct? - No, I'm here to see I'm here to see my stepdaughter.
Would this be the same stepdaughter you called me about last week when you first rescheduled our appointment? The same stepdaughter who you said found a wounded cat in the middle of the street? The same cat you had to take to have a life-saving surgery? 'Cause, you know, that sounded like bullshit too.
- It's all true.
- You know, I don't think there really is a cat, Josipovic, and I'm starting to think there's not even a stepdaughter.
Okay, now that's offensive.
Un-cuff him.
Now, there's one thing that I hate more than a shit-bird, - is a deadbeat dad.
- Yeah, me too.
Yeah.
You too? Good, good.
So I want you to take me to meet your stepdaughter And the cat.
Let let me I gotta call my ex-girlfriend - to let her know we're coming.
- Ah Uh, if I show up unannounced, she well, you'll be burying a body.
[CHUCKLES.]
- Make it quick.
- Thank you.
I actually can't wait for you to meet her.
Here.
What is that? [CHUCKLES.]
It's a secret list of Colonel Sanders' eleven herbs and spices.
The fuck you care? [CASH SHUFFLING.]
[UPBEAT DYNAMIC MUSIC.]
[SIGHS.]
Shit - [FRANK.]
What happened? - I lost Pete.
- Fuck you mean you lost Pete? - At the Bridgeport Motel.
His fucking parole officer showed up.
Bridgeport? What, you fell for his fucking story? Yeah, I heard a woman's voice on his phone.
I had to check it out, you know.
He might've not been fucking lying.
Joe, we don't got Pete.
We don't got Maggie.
Luka's not the most rational fucking human being.
Yeah, I know.
What do you got? Maggie left Rosedale in a green Ford Maverick, with only a quarter tank of gas, so I've been checking every gas station along the way.
Nothing yet.
Hey, real quick, when I asked where Maggie was headed, Delores said Maggie was going to find her son.
Now [CHUCKLES.]
Why the fuck would Maggie say that when she left her son behind with us? Who the fuck knows? But I don't like it.
How'd you like to be more than my liaison, do some real police work? The results came back from the paint chips on Winslow's vehicle.
That paint color was manufactured specifically for the GMC High Sierra Double Cab between '85 and '87.
Run down every registered owner within a 100 mile radius of the crash site.
Driver could've been from out of town.
Maybe, but we always start local, then widen.
[RAIN PATTERING.]
[CAR CHIRPS.]
You here to play the hero, huh? Be the good guy? I told you, my parole officer wants to meet Ellen.
I can't believe you're smoking in front of him.
Name is James Bagwell.
Hi, Julia Bowman.
Good to meet you.
- There she is.
Hi.
- Hi [INDISTINCT.]
Uh, by the way, the cat died.
- What? - Yeah.
The surgery didn't take.
The the stent was rejected or something.
I don't know.
Anyway, well, it cost 2 grand to fix, but of course, I don't have $2,000, so now Ellen blames me for the cat's death.
Ms.
Bowman, I think we're getting off on the wrong foot here.
Yeah, wrong feet's all we got around here.
I didn't know about the cat, all right? Okay, hold up, you two.
Listen, has he been paying child support? Uh, when he works, but I do everything by myself.
- Yeah, that's not what I hear.
- All right - Oh, yeah? What do you hear? - Hey, guys Look Look - I heard you had visitors - Let's just let let Visitors that spend the night.
Let's take a few deep breaths here, okay? - Let's take a few deep breaths.
- One visitor! I think it's time to meet your daughter, okay - She's right there.
- Just one.
- Your cousin Steve.
- Oh! Steve! - He wrecks it, nightly.
- Whoa, whoa.
- Oh! Whoa! - Boom! Drink that up! - Drink that up! - Enough! Would you please step back? [SIGHS.]
All right, listen, this was a mistake, okay? I have other appointments.
We need to go back to New York, now.
Let's go No, no, he's staying.
- He's burying that cat.
- Excuse me? I mean, Ellen, look at her.
She's heartbroken.
- Or Steve can do it.
- He's working tonight.
You need to be in New York when this is done, okay? - Yeah.
- You report to me personally.
- You got it? - Yeah, okay.
And if you want, I can arrange for a pass, so you can see your daughter on designated weekends, but that means no hanging out with the shit-bird friends of yours, you got me? - Yes.
- Is it clear? - Uh, yes.
- Am I clear? - Yes, sir.
- Look at me.
Yes, sir.
Nice to meet you, Ms.
Bowman.
You keep your nose clean, Josipovic.
All right, thank you.
He wrecks it? - Josipovic? - No, that was a joke.
- It's hard to explain.
- Really? Now I'm curious.
- Explain.
- No, you had to be there.
Hey, do you think Taylor could could track a cellphone? Motherfucker.
[TIRES SCREECH.]
[TIRES SCREECH.]
[ENGINE REVVING.]
[HORN BLARES.]
[TIRES SCREECH.]
- Where's Maggie? - Who's Maggie? Are you kidding me? She was driving this car.
Fifties, blonde.
The lady said her name was Linda.
Linda? Yeah, man, Linda from Rosedale.
Fuck.
Come on, old man.
Stop being so fucking dramatic and pull the gun.
That's why we're here, isn't it? You understand this isn't personal, right? I figured Dad had a job to do.
He can't do it, so I will You know, if you shot your gun the way you shoot your mouth, I'd be dead already.
[CHUCKLES.]
Any famous last words? I was gonna ask the same question.
Put the gun on the ground, or I put you in the ground.
[TENSE MUSIC.]
Down.
Down.
You all right, Otto? Yeah, of course I'm all right.
I had it under control.
Yeah, it looked that way.
No, no, no, Sammy, Sammy! No, no, no, don't do it.
Bodies, they're a hassle.
You know that.
[INHALES SLOWLY, EXHALES.]
Give me the keys.
[SOLEMN MUSIC.]
[CAR CHIRPS.]
Let's go.
Yeah, I see you two old fucks again, I start shooting.
Come on, come on, come on, come on.
Come on.
How'd you find me? - Huh? - Called the Rabbi, got some info, skip-traced your ass.
[CHUCKLES.]
Oh, you got it.
Great.
Yeah, I was just about to, uh I was about to print it out.
Funny, uh, my grandmother actually has one of the trucks.
I didn't I didn't say anything before, 'cause I thought she had an older model, but guess I was wrong.
Your grandmother.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You wanna go see it? Get a closer look at the kinda truck we're looking for? I'm sure she wouldn't mind.
I'll get the car.
[INHALES SLOWLY, EXHALES.]
Hey, Grandma.
[TENSE MUSIC.]
Hi, Taylor.
[CHUCKLES.]
I saw you pull up.
- Mmm - [CLEARS THROAT.]
This is Detective Joyce Roby.
She's the fancy New York law I told you about.
- Oh - [CHUCKLES.]
- Good to meet you, Detective.
- Oh, please, call me Joyce.
What a beautiful place you have.
This really a working farm? Ever since the Civil War.
Wow.
Your family has some deep roots.
The farm has deep roots.
Our family came into the land around 1978.
- Bail forfeiture.
- [CHUCKLES.]
Mm I understand you wanna see my truck.
I'm working a case involving a 1987 GMC High Sierra Double Cab.
Taylor must've called ahead to say I was coming.
[LAUGHS.]
He texted.
Grandma prefers Snapchat, but I'm stuck in the past.
[CHUCKLES.]
Let's take a look.
This way.
How are you liking our neck of the woods? It's quiet.
Must be a nice change of pace.
What happened to your forehead? It's nothing.
Had a fender bender with the truck.
You did what? It's nothing.
That's why I didn't say anything.
I didn't want anyone to know.
- What did you hit? - Parked car.
Pushed the gas instead of the brake.
Not the first time.
When did this accident happen? Yesterday.
Taylor, could you go to the car and get the list of High Sierra owners, please? Sure.
- Mrs.
Bernhardt - Audrey.
Audrey you ever been up to Brett Woods? [CHUCKLES.]
Oh, Lord, not since I was a teen.
Used to be the big make-out spot.
Now it's big with the senior citizens' bird watching center.
I was up there recently, looking into a crash site connected with my case.
The cars involved, one was a small silver sedan, the other, probably a GMC truck like this one.
Now, the reason I ask is because the farmer who owns the land mentioned seeing a woman matching your description up there.
Must've been a bird watcher.
Us seniors all look alike.
You said Taylor texted you.
When was the last time you two spoke? Sunday night.
Family gets together for dinner every week.
Got the list.
I'll look at it in the car.
- Thanks for your time, Audrey.
- Oh, my pleasure.
Oh, would you like my phone number? Email? No.
Anything comes up, I'll track you down.
- She's a lovely woman.
- [CHUCKLES.]
How often do you get to see her? Sunday nights.
Mandatory family dinner.
Why? If she's hitting the gas instead of the brakes, you might wanna visit her more often.
[MONITOR BEEPING.]
Jesus Looks like crap.
Wake him up, will ya? Moe - Uh, hey, Moe - Moe Poke him, poke him.
- [GASPS.]
- Oh! [CHUCKLES.]
All right, all right.
[CHUCKLES.]
- Hey, Moe - [CHUCKLES.]
Hey, Moe.
Water.
Here you go.
Here.
You got it got it? Yeah.
[SLURPING.]
You're looking better, slowly.
[ROUGH EXHALE.]
You're still looking better.
We just came to tell you we took care of the car.
We met the punk that did this, and he got what he wanted.
Heard he took my Proclamation.
The Easter Proclamation that I gave you? That little fuck.
Hey, I I just need to talk to my cousin or whatever.
Hey, hey, hey, hey! [WHISPERS.]
Hey.
- Sit.
- Thanks.
Fucking shitting me? - I just need a favor from you.
- Of course you do.
- Okay - What? I I need to track a cellphone.
I a girl slept over last night - [LAUGHS.]
- She took money off me.
- Can you believe that? - I don't give a fuck - about your girlfriend.
- Excuse me do you recognize this man? His name's Marius Josipovic.
[SOLEMN MUSIC.]
No I no I've never seen him.
All right, well, keep that.
Apparently Winslow was tracking him.
You see him, you let me know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I wanna talk to him.
This the guy you had in your fucking motel? - Huh? - Yeah, he's he took off.
He's he's in Ottawa.
He's not coming back.
You always got an answer.
- Listen - Just go.
Just fucking go.
Hey, we need to talk.
That kid you beat the crap out of, Avon, - we got movement on the case.
- What kinda movement? The kind that keeps me up at night.
D.
A.
wants to sit down with you next week.
You need to nail your story down.
Come on.
[TAYLOR.]
Fuck.
That's an awful strange color for whiskey.
It's coming, you damn drunk.
You remember you remember that, uh, tiger piss we used to drink at Firebase Ripcord? - Ba mui ba! - [CHUCKLES.]
Yeah, it tasted better coming up than going down.
Yeah That Proclamation started the Irish War of Independence against the British.
That piece of paper was over 100 years old.
Otto, as your pal, as my pal, I'm asking you, don't don't go after him.
He let sleeping assholes lie.
- Yeah.
- Can I join? Unless you're talking about the war again.
I hate being predictable.
- Hey, she can't be here.
- What? Unless she orders food.
What has this girl ever done to deserve that? She orders, or she goes.
Just bring her some sliders.
We'll use them as coasters.
So what's going on? I had a long talk with Taylor about our parents, you know, their, um their death, and I realized that that was the first time that anyone has ever talked to me about them.
Like, okay, here you guys are, you know, telling each other stories, sharing memories, you know.
I mean, no one has ever done that with me, not about Mom and Dad.
And, I I mean, everyone remembers them.
Like, even Sam got to work with them, you know.
I like, I have nothing.
[FRUSTRATED GRUNT.]
Well your mom and dad met at the bond shop.
- Really? - Yep.
Uh That's wrong.
When Danny walked in, your mother was just running out the back.
No, no, no, no, yeah, but it started in the shop.
Technically, they met outside the shop.
Anyway, it involved a two-block chase, which ended when your mother bonked your father with her gun.
- What? - [LAUGHS.]
Yeah.
[ ANIMAL ISLAND: "TONIGHT" PLAYING OVER RADIO.]
[ALL.]
Ooh ooh [MAN.]
Let's get lost In the night We're taking off Feel all right Ooh You shoot a good stick.
I'm all right.
You probably don't remember me, but, um I was there that night at at Bruno's.
- Fight with the cop.
- Yeah? Yeah.
That, uh that cop's my cousin.
The fuck you want? I just came by to see if, uh if maybe you'd be willing to drop the charges.
- [LAUGHS.]
- [CHUCKLES.]
I know.
Boy coming up in here like he's motherfucking John Wick.
- No, no, no, I'm - Drop the charges - I'm not - Get the fuck outta here.
[ALL.]
Ooh ooh Ooh ooh One game, straight pool.
If I win, you drop the charges.
If I lose you get all that money.
Rack 'em up.
Do you mind if I hit a couple balls? It's been a long time since I've played.
I'm a little out of practice.
Thank you.
[LAUGHS.]
[BLOWS.]
[WHISPERING INDISTINCTLY.]
[MAN.]
Everything we need Is everything we are We don't need to sleep [POOL STICK HITS BALL, BALL RATTLES AROUND POCKET.]

[MAN.]
Everything we need Is everything we are We don't need to sleep We don't need to care Everything is free I tell you what, I won't embarrass you in front of your friends.
Just take the money and drop the charges.
[MAN.]
We won't stop coming alive Thank you.
I'm sorry.
You know, I think we got off to a bad start - Indeed we did.
- Hey My name's Joe Hooper.
I just wanted to check on my buddy's arrest.
Nobody's been arrested.
Wait, Pete didn't violate his parole? Do you know where I could find him? Look, I don't know any Pete, but I do know two things: One, you have never been anybody's friend, and two, you look like trouble.
And if my clients want to associate with the likes of you and ruin their second chances, I can't stop 'em, but it doesn't mean I have to help them do it.
You have a blessed day, brother.
[SOLEMN MUSIC.]
[SIGHS.]
I thought I ran you out of town.
