Star Wars: Visions (2021) s02e05 Episode Script

Journey to the Dark Head

[lightsaber ignites]
[thunder rumbling]
The time has finally come.
You must prepare yourselves.
We should hurry.
Oh.
[gasps]
[thunder rumbling]
What does the stone show?
[sighs]
There's a clash between two figures.
There's a third shape as well,
but I can't read it.
Does this take place
in the past or future then?
I think that these are from the future.
It feels close to me but also far as well.
[gasps]
They're gone.
The vision's faded.
Your will is not yet strong enough,
and that is why your reading is imperfect.
You must improve this to grow.
[whimpers] How does keeping a record help?
There is a war going on,
and the Sith are winning it.
If we do nothing about it,
they will lay waste to the galaxy.
And all these messages,
we need to share them with the Jedi.
You mistake this for a Jedi Temple.
If I may,
there is so much precious knowledge
tangled within the fabric of this place.
And have you considered
that our role is meant to be bigger?
We need to tell them what we know.
[sighs]
There is much you don't understand.
War and conflict are constants.
They are both built on the sands of time,
which will continue to ebb and flow
for all eternity.
And their record remains on these stones.
We read and keep the record.
That is all.
It can't be.
There has to be more to this.
[gasps] Why is no one allowed
to go up to the statues?
And what if we could change everything
by cutting off the dark head?
[breathes deeply]
Council,
I was raised at a hidden temple on
Dolgarak, a planet far in the Outer Rim.
There are two large statues
hidden by clouds for centuries there.
One representing the light,
the other dark.
When the rain falls from the clouds,
it spreads across the rocks,
creating prophetic images.
But they last only for a brief moment
before evaporating back into the clouds.
I believe if I go back there
and cut off the dark head,
it could change the tide of the war.
I am aware of the risks.
I am prepared.
And so,
I request you approve a mission there.
Then what you're saying is
that by breaking the mirror,
we may stand a chance
to alter what the mirror reflects.
The idea is not outrageous.
What?
You cannot possibly take this seriously.
[giggles] Well,
let's trust the Force then.
Before you go, we shall also send a Jedi
on this journey to accompany you.
Toul is destined for this.
I sense it.
[Toul breathing heavily]
- [Jedi 1 groaning]
- [breathes heavily]
[grunts]
[Jedi 2 groaning]
[Sith Lord panting]
[groaning]
[winces]
[Sith Lord grunting]
[Jedi Master grunting]
- [groans]
- [Sith Lord grunts]
You are nothing but a disgrace, Bichan.
I shall take you down!
[grunts]
[choking]
[Toul] Master!
[whimpers]
[gasping]
[grunting]
[grunting]
I'll kill you.
[panting] I swear, I'm going to kill you!
Your rage.
It befits a Sith more than a Jedi.
[Toul groans]
Come find me when you're ready
to embrace the dark.
The Jedi will fall,
and the Sith will rise.
[groans, shrieks]
[Bichan] And after all this,
you will need a new master.
[Toul groaning]
[training partner] Toul. Toul!
[Toul gasps, panting]
You must learn control.
[Toul sighs, groans]
What does it even matter when the Sith
are going to come for all of us anyway?
[Jedi] Toul.
The Council has requested you.
You have been assigned to a mission.
[sighs] The boy worries me.
He carries too much anger.
[Jedi] No. It is not anger but fear.
[groans]
[Toul gasps, sighs]
[pilot sighing]
Huh? [gasps]
The Jedi on this mission, that you?
Wow, they're trusting a kid for this?
I can hear you.
[sighs] And I'm not a kid.
I guess it's better than nothing.
Well, hurry up.
We don't have much time.
[Toul] Automatic flight controls.
Looks like you're not a real pilot then.
I don't know if you heard,
but there's a war.
- So you're stuck with me.
- [beeping]
[Toul] I still have no idea
how you managed to talk the Council
into approving this mission.
Are you trying to say you think
they made the wrong call?
I mean, cutting off a statue's head?
[scoffs] Not exactly something
I would've volunteered for.
Yeah?
Well, you wanna know something?
The feeling's mutual.
Why do you need a Jedi
to cut off a statue's head anyway?
I don't. In fact, it would be
a lot easier if you weren't here.
I've basically already done
all the heavy lifting.
And no offense, but could you
at least pretend to act like a Jedi?
[sighs] Wow, you're really something.
[shopkeeper chuckles]
Excellent choice.
You have good taste.
You don't need this stuff.
You already have a Jedi with you.
This is just a waste of time and money.
I only have one shot at this.
So, I'm gonna make it count.
Let's see, what are you gonna do
with a bomb and a parachute?
Are you planning on blowing up a planet?
Oh, that's great. [chuckles]
Because I've got some real special items
in the back.
I know you'll love them.
I'm talking about some ultrarare,
one-of-a-kind gadgets here.
[monks chanting]
[chanting continues]
[Bichan] I sense a familiar presence.
[thunder rumbling]
[pilot] That's Dolgarak.
You can see the temple in the clouds.
[groaning]
Hey, something wrong?
You're not looking so great.
[gasps, groans]
It can't be.
- [screams]
- [Toul grunts]
It's been a while.
What brings you here, I wonder?
[alarm blaring]
[pilot groaning]
[grunts]
[Bichan grunts]
[groans]
[groans]
What an interesting place for our reunion.
Have you been waiting for this moment?
- Picturing it over and over in your mind?
- [shivers]
[groans] Enough! [shouts]
[pilot] Toul!
I don't think this speeder is gonna last.
Looks like I'm gonna need your help.
[Toul grunting]
You could've told me that way sooner.
We're finally here.
[Bichan] The Jedi have abandoned you.
They knew I was searching for you,
and yet they sent you here alone.
Just shut up and fight me!
[both grunting]
[pilot groans]
Come on. Just one more push.
Here we go!
[grunting]
[groans]
[Toul, Bichan grunting]
I need you now, Toul!
[shouts]
[groaning]
[grunting]
[grunting, panting]
[grunts] So, this is your stage?
[grunts]
[panting, groaning]
I made it.
So far, so good.
All going according to plan.
[panting]
[sighs] The heads.
I can see them.
- [gasps]
- [Toul, Bichan grunting]
Go! I'll hold him off.
[gasps]
[groans, panting]
[Bichan] You came all the way
to the statues of prophecy.
How pointless.
But now I find that they are connected,
not unlike us.
Come. Give yourself over to the dark.
- Enjoy it.
- [grunts]
[both grunting]
Don't choose to smolder into
a meaningless pile of ashes.
- Instead, we could conquer the galaxy.
- [groaning]
I'll never join you!
There's great darkness in you.
Such anger and fear.
No, there's not. You lie!
[pilot panting]
Please. Please be the dark side. Please.
[gasps]
Hmm.
[both grunting]
[grunting continues]
[Bichan grunts]
[Toul panting]
[shouts]
How pointless.
[both grunting]
[grunting continues]
- [shouts]
- [grunts]
[both grunting]
[Toul screams]
[pilot panting]
I'm sorry.
I beg forgiveness.
[gasps, groans]
Huh?
[gasps] What?
[Toul grunts]
[Bichan chuckles]
[Toul grunts]
[groans]
[groans] It's just like I said.
Pointless, you see?
[gasps] The heads.
Their light and dark energies
are tangling up.
[whimpers]
[both groaning]
[Toul gasps]
[grunting]
- [Bichan] You're out of options. Choose.
- [groans]
I told you, our fates are entwined.
- Only one outcome can save you now.
- [Toul groans]
[Bichan] Join me.
[pilot] The third image,
it was me.
[groaning]
Resisting will only prolong
[pilot] Toul!
[groans]
- [grunts]
- [beeping]
[groaning]
[Toul] I understand now.
I know why the Masters sent me here.
[breathes deeply]
[beeps]
[Toul groaning]
[both groaning]
- [Bichan gasps]
- [grunts]
[sighs]
[sighs]
[pilot] Toul! Come on!
- Wake up, Toul!
- [gasps]
[pilot panting, groaning]
[panting]
[panting]
[sighs]
- [pilot] I'm sorry.
- [groans]
This was a waste of time.
You were right.
No matter what we do, it won't end.
There's no way to stop this war.
And even if we did, it doesn't matter.
Another would just arise.
[Toul] Nothing is fixed.
- Light and dark will always coexist.
- [gasps]
And if nothing is set in stone,
that means there will always be hope.
We are always caught
in the tide of uncertainty,
but the next wave carries
as much hope as it does despair.
Ara,
I actually really needed this mission.
And I think you did too.
Hmm. [groans]
[breathes deeply]
You know, we make a pretty good team.
Let's get back to continue this fight.
But we're gonna need a new ship,
since you kind of crashed
our last one, pilot.
[Ara] Uh, what? Are you serious?
Well, I wasn't the one
who crashed the speeder.
That's on you, Jedi.
So, I'd say we're even.
Are you kidding?
Crashing a ship is so much worse.
[Ara] Oh, for what it's worth,
you've definitely destroyed any illusions
I had about the mighty Jedi.
