The Gifted (2017) s02e05 Episode Script

afterMath

1 - I'm here to take you home.
- Move! I can't do that.
JACE: I'm doing this for Grace and for every other kid just like her.
Stop calling.
JACE: You're with the Purifiers.
- I don't think I'm down to join a - Hate group? If you change your mind.
I have information you want.
In exchange, I need assistance.
Are you asking me to be a spy? Since your failure in Atlanta, half the Underground's been taken apart.
You think I'm gonna let you destroy the rest of what we built? Lorna! [PEOPLE SCREAMING, SHOUTING.]
BLINK: They're killing each other.
We can't just leave these people here.
Come on.
They got away, and they took at least one patient with them.
DAN: I'm just saying, you want to move up? Do your street time.
Lot of rookies want to write the detective exam the minute they get a badge.
Nah, I'm just taking it one day at a time for right now.
Yeah.
Nice try.
I've been around for a while.
I know your type.
Just don't get ahead of yourself.
What's up? The hand.
Check it out.
All right, be ready.
Never know what they can do.
Come on.
Let's go see what he's up to.
Hey.
Want to tell us what you're doing here? Waiting for a friend.
Is that against the law now? Let's see some I.
D.
What's your problem, man? I got rights.
Are you refusing to comply? I haven't done anything wrong.
Then you won't mind showing some I.
D.
- This is harassment - JACE: Whoa, what are you? - [GRUNTS.]
- What are you doing, man? My job.
He disobeyed a lawful police order.
Nah, he was just standing there.
You didn't have to do that.
He made a move.
Sir, the use of force guidelines doesn't say anything What? You think he got a bad rap? You think I went in too hard? Let me tell you a story, rookie.
A few years back, me and my partner were on patrol.
Pull a guy over for a broken taillight.
Mutie driver stuck him with some kind of poison.
He died in seconds.
I tased this guy so I don't have to tell your wife and your baby girl that you died on my watch.
So why don't you think about that the next time you quote the rule book at me? Now get him up, on his feet, get him in the car.
- [GRUNTS.]
- JACE: Spread your legs.
[HANDCUFFS CLICKING.]
[PANTING.]
Let's go.
[DOOR OPENS.]
- Caitlin! - In here.
How is she? She lost consciousness.
We barely made it out of there.
The police showed up and patients were running around everywhere.
I got more mutants in the car right now.
One of them's - injured real bad.
- Go, go.
We got Lauren.
Okay, honey.
Let me see you.
- Open your eyes.
- [EXHALES.]
Her pupils are a little dilated.
Lauren, do you know what day it is? It's Tuesday.
Any nausea? Dizziness? No.
I'm fine.
Okay.
I-I think it's just a mild concussion.
- Thank God.
- Andy.
I was trying, I was trying to get him.
I tried, but he, he wouldn't listen to me.
- Hey.
It's okay, baby.
- No.
- It's okay, baby.
- It's not okay, it's not okay.
- I'm sorry.
- CAITLIN: No.
No, honey.
None of this is your fault.
- Let get her home.
Get her some rest.
- No, I-I - I want to stay with her.
- WOMAN: Hey! We need another gurney over here! You got your hands full here.
Let me take care of her.
Mom, I'm okay.
- Go.
- I love you.
THUNDERBIRD: Hey! I need some help! - Call me if she's feeling sick.
- Go.
- It's okay, go.
- If anything changes - Stand back.
- What happened? Uh, his body secretes some kind of acid.
Get the others in room two.
We need a doctor! - Aah! - Here.
Put him down here.
[GRUNTING.]
Be careful, don't touch him.
Your hands.
I'm fine.
We almost had Lauren and Andy.
I still don't understand.
How did you let Andy get away? It was chaos, all right? We were trying to save patients, - deal with the cops.
- But you couldn't track him? Caitlin, there was too much going on.
All right? The mutants using their powers, the cops showed up and the noise.
It was sensory overload for me.
I couldn't tell one track from another.
We were just so close.
Lauren got hurt, we didn't get Andy.
We-we don't even know who they took or why.
We're not gonna give up.
We're gonna bring Andy home.
Him and Lorna.
I promise, okay? We just have to get ahead of the Inner Circle.
We have to figure out what they're planning.
- How? - That man, he was on the same floor as Andy and Lorna.
Maybe he can tell us something.
If he makes it.
Caitlin, I did the best I could out there.
All right? Please, let's just try and salvage something from this.
This can't have been for nothing.
NEWSMAN: It was a violent, unprovoked attack that left the staff of Lynwood Hospital beaten and bloodied.
The people behind today's attacks say they're freedom fighters.
They released mentally unstable violent mutants.
Words matter, folks.
Call this what it is: mutant extremist terrorism.
They take hostages, they force them to make some bogus confession.
- They are terrorists.
- [PHONE VIBRATING.]
And let's talk about the so-called victims at the mental hospital.
These people were locked up for a reason.
They're capable of horrific violence and must not be allowed to roam freely.
[LAUGHS SOFTLY.]
We're talking about people who have committed unspeakable acts, deemed unfit to live among the general population.
One of these guys secretes acid from his skin.
A powerful corrosive that destroys anything - it comes into contact with.
- [TYPING.]
Does that sound like someone who should be walking the streets? These people are fugitives.
We need to track them down and put them away before they hurt or even kill innocent people.
GLOW: Everyone really appreciates you guys rescuing us from the mental hospital, but they're all scared.
They want to know how we're gonna get away from Sentinel Services.
What's your plan? Well, we're gonna get you out of the city first.
BLINK: I checked the radio.
Roadblocks everywhere, we can't move.
This is bad.
We can't keep this many here.
We haven't got enough supplies, we don't have anywhere - anyone can sleep - What about the Morlocks? - You're not serious.
- Who are they? Mutant group.
They live underground.
Yeah, in the sewers.
That's what air freshener's for.
Do you prefer to get caught? Okay, Clarice, John doesn't trust Erg.
He helped us.
It may not be ideal, but it might be the only thing to keep these people safe.
A group claiming responsibility for today's attack released the following statement: "Mutants, our fate is in our own hands, and this is the tip of the spear.
It's time mutants must rise.
" The group, known only by the hashtag #MutantUprising, has already inspired protests.
Meanwhile, civil rights advocates, while condemning the violence, noted that they have long criticized LAUREN: Andy, I know you're scared.
I'm not scared! Human rights organizations fear today's attack will encourage other mutant terrorist groups It's so this is good? - After all we did? - POLARIS: Andy.
You had to do it.
I hurt Lauren.
- I could've killed her.
- But you didn't.
You pushed just as hard as you needed to to get us out of there.
And look what we did.
Andy, you should be proud.
It was a total success.
Not quite.
We need to talk about our guest.
She hasn't spoken since she got here.
That's a big problem.
She's the key to Reeva's next step.
What did you guys expect? - She's been locked up for years.
- He's right.
Imagine what's going on in her head.
We don't need to.
We can see for ourselves.
[DISTORTED SCREAMING.]
ORDERLY: Tighter! Break her arm if you have to.
This will knock her out.
Please! Please stop.
I can't see, I can't breathe [GASPING.]
That bad, huh? You have no idea.
She's fine.
We just got home.
She's laying on the couch.
She's tired, she's just got a bit of a headache.
Okay, give her some ibuprofen, and make sure she stays hydrated.
I will.
How's it going there? CAITLIN: We talked to the other mutants from the hospital.
Nobody knows anything about Andy.
I was wrong to let her go.
She did what she thought she had to do.
We could've lost both of them.
Lauren could've been The most important thing is she's okay.
Please, just tell her I'm sorry.
I will.
Don't you worry.
Talk to you later.
Your mom feels terrible.
She blames herself that you were there.
I had to be there.
He was just so, so strong.
I just can't believe that you looked him in the eye, told him you wanted him to come home, and he attacked you.
He believes.
I could see it in his eyes.
He wasn't gonna let anything stop them.
Not even me.
[INDISTINCT CHATTER.]
What's going on? They're testing her powers.
What are they? You'll see.
ESME: Rebecca, look, I know you haven't used your powers in a while, but we're gonna need you to try.
We want to help other mutants, like we helped you.
Look, I was in a mental hospital, too.
They treat us like animals.
That's what we're fighting.
And you can be a weapon in that fight.
Don't you want to go after mutant haters? We need you.
We can't do this without your help.
Just show us what you can do.
Rebecca? She may be too far gone.
We just rescued her.
She needs time.
We don't have time.
Reeva's planned an operation to cripple our enemies, but it doesn't happen without Rebecca.
Well, if she's so important, maybe Reeva should be here working with her.
She's not on vacation.
She's laying the groundwork for the next step in our plan, and she's depending on us.
Do you want to tell Reeva her new weapon is a dud? Maybe you should stop calling her a weapon.
I mean, she is a person.
You could try treating her like one.
- Excuse me? - You cover her in wires, talk about her like she's a thing.
- What do you expect? - Andy, I've seen what happens to people who get locked up in those places, and sometimes there's no coming back.
Can I talk to her? You've got nothing to lose.
You know what, knock yourself out.
[WHOOSHING.]
Come on, this way.
[ECLIPSE SCOFFS.]
Doesn't John have extra-powerful senses? How the hell did he stand the smell down here? He breathed through his mouth.
[COUGHS, SPITS.]
Now I can taste it.
- It's not much farther.
- I don't get it.
John said you were wandering around here for hours when you came down before.
How'd you know where to go? I don't know, I just guessed.
And there's, like, no light down here to absorb, either.
If I use up all my energy, I'm not gonna be able to fight.
You know that, right? GLOW: Um maybe I can help.
Huh.
Want something done right, ask a woman.
Great.
How do we find these people? ERG: You don't.
We find you.
Hey.
I, uh I need to talk to you about something.
I can't stop the bleeding.
The acid keeps eating through the gauze.
I'm stitching as fast as I can.
The wire is a lot harder to work with than thread.
[ACID SIZZLES.]
[GROANING.]
What's happening? Decreased breath sounds, left side.
- He's got a tension pneumothorax.
- What's that? Air in his chest cavity.
His lung must be damaged.
- Go! Do something! - I can't do a needle decompression if I can't touch him.
- [GASPS.]
- Give me the needle! I'll do it.
- John, you can't.
- Just tell me what to do! - The acid.
- I'm not gonna let him die! - Give me the damn needle.
- [GASPING.]
Between the second and the third ribs.
Lower.
- Right there? - Yeah.
[SIZZLING.]
[SHOUTS.]
How-how deep? Until you hear a hiss of air.
[GROANING.]
[AIR HISSING.]
- There.
- [SHOUTS.]
He's out of the woods.
For now.
- John, let me take a look at you.
- No.
Just get him talking.
We need answers.
We gave him some flumenazil to wake him up.
It shouldn't be long.
Can I please do this now? [SIGHS.]
I've never seen you like this.
It's okay.
My body is denser than normal.
I damage less, heal faster.
I don't need a lesson in mutant medicine.
I'm asking about you.
I keep screwing up.
I lost the Atlanta station.
I lost Andy and Lorna.
And when we found out about the mental hospital, I thought that-that What? That you could redeem yourself? Listen, what I said earlier, that wasn't fair.
- This isn't your fault.
- It No, it's not, none of it.
I sent you out there.
We weren't prepared.
I should've done more.
[MICHAEL STRAINING.]
Where am I? You're okay.
You're in a clinic.
I remember you.
- You saved me.
- Yeah.
What's your name? Michael.
You served? Marines.
Two tours, yeah.
Me, too.
82nd Airborne, Mutant Corps.
When that was a thing.
Michael.
Michael, I hate to ask you this right now, but we have some questions about the hospital.
- Is that okay? - Yeah.
The people behind the attack, they took someone from the room two doors down from yours; do you know who it was? I think her name was Rebecca.
Do you know anything else? Where she's from? What she can do? We were down there because collars didn't work on us.
Acid ate through mine.
All I know is they kept her locked up tighter than anyone.
Drugged her.
Never let her out.
Even the shrink felt bad about it.
A psychiatrist? Her name was Dr.
Taylor, I think.
She was kind to us.
Said we didn't belong there.
But she but she [SIZZLES.]
Breath sounds are shallow.
I-I think that's all we're gonna get for now.
[WATER SPLASHING.]
You all right? Yeah.
Some of us are wondering what happened at the mental hospital, about the ones who released us.
Okay, um I don't know much.
But they're called the Inner Circle, and they say that they're building something to "help all the mutants.
" You say that like it's a bad thing.
Yeah, well, Hitler had big dreams, too.
They recruited my, uh [CHUCKLES.]
my kid's mom.
My baby girl's with them.
I'm sorry.
But they can't be all bad, right? I mean, they freed us, so I don't know, I just try to see the good wherever I can.
Weren't you locked up in that horrible place for years? It was hard, yeah.
But there were always little things.
- Sometimes we'd get Jell-O.
- Jell-O? [CHUCKLES.]
There's always a bit of light, even in the darkest places.
You said you wanted to meet.
You didn't mention any of this.
You strong-armed me into being your spy.
You wanted information.
Here.
A list of mutants we've helped through the Underground, and their powers.
Our deal did not include taking in refugees from a mental hospital.
They have nowhere else to go.
Oh, I guess you only care about people that can do something for you.
You sound just like the Inner Circle.
We are nothing like them.
This is a community.
I protect these people.
Exactly.
You claim to be some mutant savior, then do some freaking saving! Those refugees out there, they need you.
[SCOFFS.]
Please.
All right, I'll take them.
But first, you're going to help me.
Hey.
I just figured you might want some company.
You probably haven't talked to anybody in, like, a long time.
That place you were in was pretty messed up.
Or, I mean, it's cool.
I could just hang out, too.
[CLEARS THROAT.]
They didn't actually tell me what your power was.
They just said that they needed you.
They need me, too, 'cause [LAUGHS SOFTLY.]
Must have sucked being stuck all alone.
All those people treating you like crap every day.
It's kind of like high school.
This place is better, though.
Even if you're still kind of alone, at least you don't have to apologize for just being who you are, you know? That's kind of how it was with my family.
I tried to explain, but they just didn't get it.
My sister, she just she wouldn't listen.
But, you know, this place is kind of like my new family.
You can be part of that, too, if if you want.
Inside out, huh? My name is Andy.
Rebecca.
[LAUGHS SOFTLY.]
WILSON: It's gonna be great.
Jace! - Hey.
- Glad you made it.
Good to see you.
- Hey, I'm Kyle.
- Jace.
Nice to meet you.
Yeah, you, too.
Wilson said you worked Sentinel Services? I did.
I did.
He said you guys were doing some good work here.
I thought I'd check it out myself.
Hey, why don't you grab a cup of coffee.
We'll get started in a few minutes.
All right.
WILSON: Listen, I know we're all upset about what happened today.
We saw a mutant terrorist attack on our soil like we haven't seen since 7/15.
Thousands of people cheering the terrorists on.
We all saw the protests on the news, huh? Word is they hit the streets here tomorrow.
Well, we are going to be waiting for them.
- Yes.
- We are gonna push back.
- That's right.
- Yeah! Our job? Send a message.
- They will not replace us.
- No, they will not.
We are gonna meet them in the streets, one-on-one.
- That's right.
- [SHOUTS OF AGREEMENT.]
Jace? Look, I know I'm just a guest here, but fighting with protestors, it's it's just gonna make the mutants look like victims.
Somebody films it? The video goes viral, you end up looking just as bad as them.
Now, you got a lot of manpower here.
If you really wanted to, you could, you could make a difference.
And what do you mean exactly? Well, the mutants that escaped from the mental hospital are fugitives.
How about helping to round them up? Isn't that Sentinel Services' job? Sentinel Services' job is to cover their own asses, - believe me.
- [LAUGHTER.]
The mutants that escaped from the mental hospital are dangerous.
Somebody needs to get them off the streets.
How do we do that? Well on the news, it said that some of them were injured.
They're gonna be looking for a place to get treated.
You go to all the mutant-friendly clinics, hospitals.
You find the fugitives, you turn them in and you show everybody that the Purifiers are part of the solution.
- [CROWD MURMURING.]
- You really think that'll work? I don't think it will.
I know it will.
This is where everyone hangs out.
Kind of looks like a modern art museum, but this place is pretty dope.
You can get basically whatever you want.
Coffee, snacks.
Chef makes a mean bacon cheeseburger.
They got every video game I can think of.
Oh, yeah.
That place you were locked up didn't have any windows, huh? I forgot how beautiful the sky could be.
Must've been tough being trapped in a hole for so long.
Now I'm trapped here.
Trapped? We can go out anytime we want.
In this? Yeah, I'll get the helpers to get you some normal clothes.
What do you say? Do you want to get out of here? Yeah.
I'd like that.
Cool.
- Hey.
- Hey.
Wow.
You look amazing.
Yeah, I feel a little bougie, but I guess No, it's perfect.
- Want to go? - Uh-huh.
Going somewhere? Yeah, we were just gonna go get something to eat.
The chef can make whatever you want.
Well, she hasn't been outside in, like like how long? I don't know.
Over a year? Andy, can I talk to you a sec? Sorry.
What's up? Look, I think it's great that you got her out of her shell, but, uh, taking her outside? She needs this.
Andy, I was in one of those places.
When you leave, it takes time to adjust.
Okay? You can't just Hey, you want her to fight for our freedom, right? But what about her freedom? Is she allowed to have it? Be careful.
Okay.
All right.
[ELEVATOR BELL CHIMES.]
BLINK: So what is this favor I'm doing for you? It's better to show you.
It's just a little farther.
So, what's up with the eye patch? You get the wrong end of a sharp stick? I lost my eye when I manifested as a teenager.
Some kids were beating me up when it happened.
Well, why were they beating you up if they didn't know you were a mutant? They weren't mutant haters, just good old-fashioned racists.
Anyway, I discovered I could absorb and redirect energy through this.
And what if no one attacks you? Then I've got nothing to throw back at them.
All we want is to be left alone.
It's this way.
Here.
What's here? I need you to use your abilities to take us up there.
About 50 feet up.
Okay, listen.
If you're using me to get some sort of weapon - or something shady like that, I'm not - Clarice.
I think by now you know what kind of man I am.
- Why are we here? - We're gathering supplies.
Canned food, baby formula.
Normally, we send groups out on the surface to take what we need.
It's dangerous work.
I figured you brought us more mouths to feed.
You can help us feed them.
Great.
Is there a problem? Yeah, we don't steal from people.
John says it makes it harder for mutants everywhere.
- Is that what John says? - And he's not wrong.
Trust me.
I used to be a thief.
Stealing from people kind of makes them hate you.
They already hate us.
What I think your boyfriend doesn't understand is I don't need the humans' love.
I don't care about their hate.
So what are you fighting for? We're not interested in some grand symbolic struggle.
The Inner Circle's war with humans? Just a recipe for senseless slaughter.
And the Mutant Underground's fight for some pipe dream of coexistence is almost as bad.
I don't believe in dreams.
I believe in Corn Flakes.
- How's he doing? - A little better.
Replacing the needle bought us some time, but he might need surgery.
In a situation like this What is it? [OVERLAPPING CHATTER.]
- NURSE: What are you doing here? - Looking for fugitives.
This is a medical facility.
You can't just come in here Someone's here.
A group.
I think it might be Purifiers.
We got to get all the mutant patients and hide them now.
Here.
Grab that blanket.
We'll put him in the secret room.
- [GRUNTING.]
- [SIZZLING.]
KYLE: I'm sorry.
Is there something wrong with your hearing? I said open the door.
You need to leave now or I'm gonna call the police.
I said open the damn door.
Here.
Everybody stay quiet.
- [GRUNTING.]
- [SIZZLING.]
JACE: Ma'am.
Hey, listen to me.
We don't want to hurt anybody.
Okay? We need to search the clinic for fugitives.
So, please, let us in.
- No! - MAN: All right, let's go.
NURSE: No! MAN: We'll find 'em.
[OVERLAPPING CHATTER.]
Isn't that? Jace Turner from Sentinel Services.
Well, he's not with them anymore.
CAITLIN: He can't know we're here.
I'm sure they'll be back soon.
No, we shouldn't have come here.
Look at this place.
I know it's hard to believe, but after a few years at the mental hospital, this isn't that bad.
How did you end up in there? I was at a concert.
I was having fun and I wasn't thinking and I started dancing.
I just created these orbs.
People panicked.
I was charged with inciting a riot.
At the trial though, one juror wouldn't convict me 'cause the lights aren't dangerous, so they tried something else.
Diagnosed me with a manic disorder and they sent me to the mental hospital.
Doctors told me I'd never be cured.
[SCOFFS.]
I would have been so, so angry.
I was.
But you know [SNIFFLES.]
eventually, I realized I could forgive them or I could spend the rest of my life angry.
So I forgave them.
I don't think I could do that.
Don't underestimate yourself.
BLINK: Hey.
Clarice, where the hell have you been? Just talking with Erg.
And? Can they stay? Yes.
But he wants to talk with everyone first.
You've seen our society.
Here, all mutants are free to live without hate, judgment or persecution An oasis where your powers are not only accepted, but celebrated.
You are welcome to stay here on one condition.
Those of you who choose to remain with us must take the mark.
ECLIPSE: Whoa, wait.
Hold on.
These people need your help.
You're asking them to mutilate themselves? Those who have visible mutations are exempt.
- [SCOFFS.]
- Down here, we embrace our mutant nature.
We do not hide it.
This is a mark of pride.
Then print a big "M" on their shirts or something, but burning their faces is completely different.
Marcos, please.
It's their house, their rules.
How can you be okay with doing this? What other choice do we have? Hey.
It's all right.
- You don't have to do this.
- We don't have a home.
We'll take the brand.
- What? - Nothing.
I've just never seen somebody eat a burger that fast before.
- Sorry.
It's been a while.
- It's cool.
I hate it when girls eat, like, salads and stuff.
You want my shake? It's all yours.
So that thing you did with the tennis ball do you, like, turn stuff inside out or something? That-That's incredible.
That's crazy.
How does that work? Most people can move things up, down, sideways.
For me, there's another direction.
I just kind of twist things that way.
Turn them around.
Upside down.
Inside out.
That that's awesome.
[LAUGHS.]
Look, I I know they were pushing you around in the training room.
Look, I just want you to know we're actually trying to do something good.
We're trying to build a place for mutants.
Like a-a new homeland where you don't have to Dude, you can skip the sales pitch.
You had me at milkshake.
[LAUGHS SOFTLY.]
Check it out.
You want to have some fun? Come on.
What-what are we doing exactly? What the hell? 2564, requesting assistance.
Are you crazy? Those are cops.
I know.
I hate cops.
Now you.
- No.
- Come on.
I showed you mine.
[LAUGHS.]
Okay, that? - Freaking awesome.
- Yeah, let's go.
KYLE: Jace! Look what I found.
Where are the patients? I told you, we don't have any now.
Really? What happened in there? It was, it was just an accident.
- Nurse spilled some chemicals.
- Is that right? 'Cause on the news it said that one of the escaped mutants - secretes some type of acid.
- Looks about right to me.
Where is he? I don't know what you're talking about.
- Doctor, you're lying to us.
- No, I'm not.
Hey, I'll get it out of him, all right? - [COUGHS.]
- [WOMAN SCREAMS.]
[GRUNTS.]
- John.
- Caitlin, I have to.
No, you can't.
He thinks we're all dead.
If he finds out we're here, do you have any idea what that means? - I can't just do nothing.
Come on.
- This isn't about you.
It's about all of us, the whole Mutant Underground.
People need us, now more than ever.
[MICHAEL WHIMPERS.]
What's wrong? Damn it.
The acid ate through another needle.
We got to get him to a hospital, all right? - That's why I have to go out there.
- And do what? Kill them all? A bunch of Purifiers get slaughtered in a mutant-friendly clinic, and then what? This place is gone.
[COUGHING.]
Listen to her.
Mission comes first, brother.
- I'm not gonna let you die.
- I'm tough.
I'll be okay.
Tell him.
Can he hold out? Uh Tell him.
His lung function's better.
I think he'll make it.
MAN: Open that one! Open 'em up! Let's go! Tell me, where are the mutants? Please I told you, I don't know.
Hey, hey! That's enough, man.
What are you doing? KYLE: That man is a traitor to his species.
I say we take him out back and [SIRENS APPROACHING.]
- [COUGHS.]
- We got to go.
We got to go now.
Let's go.
Everybody out.
They're leaving.
We got to get him ready.
Take him to the hospital.
No.
I'm sorry, John.
The damage was too great.
You knew.
You knew he wouldn't make it.
He knew it, too.
- You lied to me! - I'm sorry, John.
It was the only option.
Michael understood that.
[SHOUTS.]
[GRUNTS.]
Hey.
He told us about Rebecca.
Maybe we can get to the shrink and find out more.
It wasn't all for nothing, John.
It wasn't.
- You're still here.
- We're, uh sticking around until after.
- In case anyone changes their mind.
- They won't.
You're confident, aren't you? People want to belong to something.
We give them that.
- Don't you want that, too? - I'm happy where I am.
Are you? You hide yourself up there, for them.
Contact lenses, covering your ears, your markings.
Even your name hides who you are.
My name? Clarice? Clarice is a name for a human.
Tell me this, - what can you do? - You know what I can do.
Tell me.
I portal.
I, uh, blink from place to place.
Blink.
[CHUCKLES.]
I like that.
Never hide who you are, Blink.
You are glorious.
Oh, my God, the looks on the cops' faces.
Yeah, I know.
- That was sick.
- [LAUGHS.]
I I had fun today.
Yeah.
Me, too.
[ELEVATOR BELL CHIMES.]
How was your little outing? It was great.
We had fun.
- We can see that.
- You're practically glowing.
A whole new you.
I'm starting to feel like myself again.
So what's this big mission? Today We will see the sun In flames Tidal waves Washing all the world Away Today Everything we thought will change [SHOUTING.]
