That's called the pistil.
The smaller sticks around it are called the stamen, and they're covered in that powdery stuff called pollen.
So, what does the bee have to do with any of that, Mr.

Well, you see, bees, birds, butterflies, and other critters are attracted to the flower's sweet, sweet nectar.
When they drink the nectar, they lift the pollen up and they move it to the pistil.
That's called pollination.

What's so important about that? Ah Yeah, yeah.

Now, when the pollen travels down the pistil, it combines with the flower's eggs to create new seeds.
That's called fertilization.

Well, you see, bees, birds, butterflies, and other critters are attracted to the flower's sweet, sweet nectar.
When they drink the nectar, they lift the pollen up and they move it to the pistil.

Now, when the pollen travels down the pistil, it combines with the flower's eggs to create new seeds.
